coming to grips with the possibility that i might not go to grad school at all and i’ll genuinely learn organic/regenerative agriculture and agroforestry from the farmers in my community is so scary but also feels like something i’m inevitably sliding towards and something that will guide me towards a life that i’ll love forever

HAPPY BIRTHDAY @sidekick-hero!!! Sandy, you deserve the world, but this 3000 word thing will have to do for now 💖

December 19, 1985
Steve Harrington needed sleep.
Eddie Munson had the only thing that would put him to sleep.
But Eddie Munson also held a grudge, a reasonable one, but an annoying one.
“You want me to sell you the last of my good shit? For half price?” Eddie snorted. “You’re out of your damn mind, Harrington.”
“Munson, please. I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important,” Steve begged.
“Why would I do you any favors? You never did me any.”
Eddie crossed his arms over his chest, waiting somewhat impatiently for a response from Steve.
Steve didn’t have one.
Eddie was right; He didn’t really deserve a favor from someone who had let his friends make his first senior year absolutely miserable.
But Robin’s voice looped in his head: “Be vulnerable sometimes, Steve. People may surprise you.”
“Listen man, I just really need to sleep, alright? I’ve tried everything else.” Steve sighed. “This is pretty much my last hope.”
Which was a truth and a lie. He’d already tried smoking some weed, knew that it worked.
Eddie’s forehead creased in the middle.
That’s kinda cute, Steve thought to himself before shaking his head. Now wasn’t the time to get distracted by big, brown eyes and shiny lips.
“You been to a doctor?” Eddie asked.
“The sleeping pills make them worse.”
“Make what worse?” Eddie pushed.
“The nightmares.”
Eddie nodded once, understanding flitting across his face as he relaxed his arms by his sides.
“How long you been havin’ them?” Eddie asked as he walked around to the bench at the picnic table, opening his lunchbox.
“I guess…technically years. They’ve been worse since July though.” Steve knew he had to be careful about what he said, couldn’t give away more than what the public knew about what happened at the mall, but Eddie seemed trustworthy enough to handle this part. “Doctors said it’s normal for trauma or whatever.”
Eddie nodded, whispered something under his breath, and shuffled through his box.
“Forgot you worked at the mall over the summer. Kinda crazy what happened,” he said as he pulled a small discolored plastic bag from the box. “I’ll make you a one-time only deal, Stevie.”
Steve ignored the butterflies in his stomach at the nickname, kicked at the dirt under his feet, and gestured for Eddie to continue.
“I’m not giving my product away for half price. I’m a businessman and that’s not a smart financial decision for my business.” Eddie held up a hand when Steve looked like he was going to argue. “But! I will share a joint with you right here, right now, for free.”
“Um. What?”
“I was gonna smoke this one tonight as a celebration for passing all my first semester finals by the skin of my teeth. I don’t mind sharing if you don’t.” Eddie’s smirk made the butterflies even worse.
Steve was going to regret this.
God, he was so stupid.
“Yeah, okay.”
Smoking with Eddie the first time was nice, but the second, and third, and fourth times were even better.

January 16, 1986
“You’re late, Stevie. I was starting to worry you’d gotten frostbite.” Eddie’s smile warmed Steve from the inside out, the shiver wracking his body more to do with the growing fondness he had for the curly-haired man in front of him.
Eddie was bundled up like they were in Antarctica, and to be fair, it was below freezing outside right now.
Steve offered to meet somewhere else, but Eddie insisted they come to his usual spot.
And then Steve saw it: Eddie had built them a fire. It was small, he probably didn’t want to draw any attention from the road, but it was throwing heat that Steve craved.
“Come warm up before we get into it,” Eddie waved him over, his gloved hands looking out of place.
Steve was used to seeing shiny rings on his fingers, blisters on his fingertips from playing too much guitar.
Steve stood next to him in front of the fire, holding his own gloved hands out to try to warm his body as much as possible.
“Any reason I couldn’t just come to your house or something?” Steve asked, not quite getting rid of the attitude in his tone.
“My Uncle has tonight off. He’s a pretty chill guy, but I think actively watching me sell drugs to someone would maybe cause a heart attack.” Eddie sighed. “I told him I had a date tonight so I couldn’t really have you show up after that.”
“A date?” Steve grinned, nudging Eddie’s arm. “I didn’t even bring flowers.”
Eddie rolled his eyes, but looked away to cover a blush. “Yeah, well, don’t expect me to put out until there’s a dozen roses in my hand.”
He meant it as a joke surely, but something in Steve’s chest clenched at the thought of spoiling Eddie like that. Maybe not roses, that didn’t quite seem his style.
“I’ll try to remember them next time,” Steve managed to say, nearly choking on his own words.
What was he even doing? Flirting? Eddie didn’t even consider him a real friend, why would he want him to bring him flowers?
“Got a new strain tonight. It’s supposed to be a little stronger, but fades faster, so you should be good to drive back home in a couple hours.” Eddie pulled the baggie out of his pocket, lunchbox long gone after meeting twice a week for the last month.
Steve wasn’t really a customer anymore, no matter how they tried to keep up appearances that he was.
He still tipped Eddie, or tried to, but usually Eddie ignored it and just said it was a favor to help him sleep.
“How strong?” Steve finally asked as Eddie pulled the lighter from his pocket.
“Might make you a little floatier than usual. Not hallucinogenic, though.” Eddie knew he couldn’t handle that kind of trip. That’s why he stayed away from his other offerings. “I tested it out myself earlier this week.”
Steve wasn’t reading into that.
“Okay.” He fought off a shiver, this time from actually being cold. “Guess it’s worth a try.”
“I’ll drive you home if it’s too much.” Eddie’s offer was kind, going above and beyond what a dealer would do for a customer, but Steve wasn’t reading into it. “Or you can nap it off in the van for an hour or so before heading home. Whatever.”
Eddie lit the joint, breathing in long and slow, holding the smoke until Steve was sure he would pass out before slowly letting it out.
He handed the roll to Steve, who didn’t think about what Eddie meant by stronger, and took his normal pull, choking halfway through.
Eddie’s eyes widened as he took the joint from him, his hand grabbing onto Steve’s arm as he coughed.
“Jesus Christ, man, you good?” Eddie asked him.
“Yeah,” he coughed. “Sorry. It is a lot stronger.”
Eddie searched his face, relaxing as Steve’s breathing went back to normal. “Good?”
“Yeah.”
“Maybe take it slower?” Eddie teased. “Or- no never mind.”
“Or what?” Steve asked, already feeling the heaviness that came with smoking.
“Ever shotgunned before?”
Steve’s heart stopped. He’d venture to say he was even stone cold sober again after that question.
“Um. No.” He hadn’t. He’d wanted to with Nancy, figured it would be the only way she would be interested in trying weed, but it never worked out. “Would it be easier?”
“Yeah,” Eddie nodded. “Usually. We can give it a try if you want.”
Steve nodded before he really processed what he was being offered.
Eddie’s mouth would be very, very close to his. Possibly even on his.
And he’d be sharing breath with him, probably more than one if it worked.
Eddie pulled the picnic table closer to the fire and sat on the bench. He patted the seat next to him.
“Might as well get comfy, then,” Eddie said.
Steve sat next to him, close enough to feel the warmth coming from his side, close enough to hear Eddie’s hitched breath when they made contact.
Close enough to want to be closer.
“Alright, so I’ll start with a small one, and you just have to breathe in when I breathe out.”
“Is it-” Steve played with a loose thread on his gloves. “Your lips are gonna touch mine?”
Eddie suddenly looked nervous, like he regretted offering this at all, and Steve couldn’t allow that.
“I don’t mind! I mean, I want you to!” Steve panicked. “Like, it’s fine! I know we have to for the whole thing to work.”
“Yeah. Um, it’s not like, weird or anything. It’s just me helping you get high.”
It wasn’t weird, but it definitely was hot.
Eddie took a drag, leaned into Steve’s space, and cupped his jaw, tilting his head back for easier access.
Steve couldn’t breathe.
But he had to, that was the whole fucking point of doing this.
His lips parted and Eddie’s warmth coated him, covered him better than the fire.
He breathed in as Eddie breathed out, his hand seeking contact with anything solid to keep him on this earth.
He found it in Eddie’s hip, his fingers gripping tight as Eddie lingered beyond the point of the smoke clearing from his mouth to Steve’s.
Their lips brushed lightly, an agonizingly soft touch that Steve tried his best not to chase as it drifted away.
He bit back a whine at the loss, opening his eyes to see Eddie still surprisingly close, pupils huge.
It’s just the weed, Steve thought to himself.
It definitely wasn’t their almost-kiss.
Steve breathed out, swallowing once the smoke was gone from his mouth.
“Good?” Eddie asked.
Steve should answer him, should nod and thank him for doing this, maybe ask him for another hit so he could try to blame his fidgeting on being high.
But Steve wanted to kiss him.
Not shotgun, not barely brush lips, not act like this wasn’t something more than what it started as.
Robin told him he deserved nice things, and he deserved to be happy, and he did.
So Steve let himself try to have a nice thing.
“Again?” Steve asked, leaning in before Eddie had a chance to take a drag.
“Woah, big boy.” Eddie’s hands grabbed his shoulders, not pushing him away, but holding him back from making contact that he so desperately wanted. “Think that first hit might have gotten to you already. Let’s take a minute.”
“No, I-”
“Steve. You’re high.”
His tone was final, and something about the way his eyes darted away made Steve think that maybe this wasn’t the first time someone tried to make a move on him because he was giving them something.
He didn’t know Steve was into men, either.
Steve could just tell him, though. Let him know it’s not just the drugs, that he’d already had feelings for him before.
But the high was kicking in and Steve’s tongue felt like an iron weight.
“How about I get you some water?” Eddie asked, pulling away and walking swiftly to his van.
Steve didn’t protest. He did need some water.
Eddie sat on the other side of the table when he came back, handed over a bottle of water with a small smile, and watched as Steve gulped most of it down.
“This is good shit,” Steve admitted, slurring his words a little from the effort of moving his mouth. “Better than usual.”
“Yeah, it’s a nice treat once in a while.”
They sat in silence for another 30 minutes or so, though the time didn’t even feel like it was passing to Steve until Eddie stood up and guided him to the passenger seat of his van.
“Wha-?”
“I’m gonna drop you off at home. You got someone who can help you get your car tomorrow?” Eddie buckled his seatbelt, Steve tried not to be too endeared. “Maybe Buckley? Or Wheeler?”
Steve’s brows furrowed.
Nancy had barely talked to him in months, not since she gave him one awkward hug after Starcourt. Robin couldn’t drive, or at least said she couldn’t. That’s why he drove her to school and all of her work shifts.
“Maybe you could?” Steve suggested.
Eddie sighed. “I’ll see what I can do.”

February 14, 1986
Steve got him flowers.
He hadn’t seen him since the night he drove Steve home.
By the time Steve woke up the next morning, his car was parked in the driveway with a note on his keys that said ‘Promise there’s not a dent on her.’
And then Eddie had ignored his calls. He’d conveniently never been at his spot anytime Steve had ever met up with him before.
He couldn’t even pass a message through Dustin because Dustin was too curious for his own good and would probably figure out that Steve wanted to kiss him.
Which is all Steve thought about for the last month while he figured out what to do next.
Robin was no help at all, said he should just corner him after Hellfire one night and make a move if he wanted him so bad.
As if that could ever be an option.
This was his last chance, though.
He’d confirmed with one of his bandmates – Garrett, maybe? – that he didn’t have plans tonight and refused to sell on Valentine’s Day.
Steve stood in front of Eddie’s trailer, a bouquet of white and pink daisies in his hand, feeling particularly stupid.
The van was here, so Eddie was here, but Steve couldn’t bring himself to walk up the steps and knock on the door. This was maybe the most idiotic thing he’d ever done and he probably should leave before he was seen by someone.
“Steve?” Eddie opened the front door, confusion clear even from a distance. “The hell are you doing here?”
“I said I’d bring you flowers.”
He felt so dumb, standing here holding a bouquet of flowers for a guy who didn’t even want to sell drugs to him anymore. He considered dropping the flowers and making a run for it, but Eddie leaned against the door frame and scrunched his nose up.
Like he was trying not to smile.
Like maybe Steve did something right.
“Better bring them in so they can get water, then,” Eddie said with a hesitant smile.
Steve would take any type of smile, as long as it meant he wasn’t being sent away with his tail between his legs.
He rushed inside, didn’t think about the smell of Irish Spring coming off of Eddie, or the way his arm brushed against his side as he passed him.
Steve stood in Eddie’s trailer, taking in what Eddie called home, holding the flowers in front of him with hope.
Eddie closed the front door and walked over to him, holding his hand out.
“You didn’t have to get me flowers just for me to sell you drugs again, ya know.” Eddie smiled sadly. “I would have let you buy if you really needed it.”
“You won’t return my calls so how would you know if I needed it?” Steve countered.
“Ouch.” Eddie sucked a breath in through his teeth. “You’re right. I, uh, was giving you some space.”
“What made you think I wanted any?” Steve took the flowers back from Eddie’s hand, setting them on the coffee table behind him. “If I wanted space, I wouldn’t have bothered calling at all.”
“That’s what Wayne said, but-”
“Well, maybe you should’ve listened to Wayne.” Steve sighed. “I’m sorry I fucked things up by wanting to kiss you. I’m sorry if the flowers are too much. I’m sorry if I’m too much.”
Steve couldn’t look at Eddie after his confession, or his attempt at one. It may have been more of an apology, but he figured his intentions were clear enough.
“Steve. Stevie. Look at me.” Eddie cupped his cheeks, that familiar warmth covering Steve in safety. “You’re not too much. Don’t ever, ever let anyone tell you that you’re too much. You were so high, I didn’t wanna take advantage. I thought if I just left you to think about it long enough, you’d realize what happened was just from the weed.”
Steve shook his head, reaching his hands up to circle Eddie’s wrists. “It wasn’t just the weed. You’d know that if you let me talk to you before now.”
Eddie rubbed his thumb along his cheekbone, eyes dancing across the freckles that covered Steve’s surprisingly sun-kissed skin. “I’m sorry I didn’t let you explain.”
“You’re forgiven if you listen now,” Steve took a breath, letting his hands run down Eddie’s arms and settle on his hips. “I like you. A lot. Definitely more than a customer should, more than a friend should, maybe more than a regular boyfriend should. It’s okay if that’s too much, but it’s what I have to give.”
“You’re really something, Stevie.” Eddie leaned in, pressing his lips to the corner of Steve’s mouth. “I think I’ll take what you’re giving if that’s alright with you.”
“Please,” Steve breathed out as Eddie’s lips crushed against his fully.
Steve always felt so much, always gave so much, hardly ever had anyone who would take what he had to give.
But Eddie was taking it, forcing it from Steve to his own body, his own heart, like it was the only thing he wanted or needed.
“If you wanna buy tonight, you’re gonna be real disappointed,” Eddie gasped out against his lips when they came up for air minutes, maybe hours, later. “I don’t sell on major holidays.”
“Is Valentine’s Day a major holiday?” Steve asked, brows furrowing.
“It is when I get to have you in my bed.”
Steve’s eyes widened. “Oh.”
“That sound okay to you, big boy?” Eddie was smooth. Who could have possibly guessed?
Steve barely got out a ‘yes’ before Eddie was pulling him down the short hallway to his bedroom and rattling off things he wanted to do to him.
Steve Harrington probably wasn’t getting any sleep tonight.
But Eddie Munson would make it worth his while.

a/n: if you’re uncomfortable with any of the warnings, please don’t read. the warnings are listed and you’re responsible for what you read. let me know if you have any ideas. i hope you enjoy!
————————————————————————-
it was a still night in outer banks. cool summer air breezing through the bedroom windows and over your body. you were asleep in rafe’s bed, knowing that rafe would be home late so you didn’t wait on him. rafe had been more stressed than usual lately. he’d told you that he had some ‘ business ’ to take care of. you had a good idea of what he meant by that and who he was going to see. most likely barry. you sighed and kissed him before he left, turning on ‘ the notebook ’ after he left and trying not to think about your boyfriend for awhile. it didn’t take you long to fall asleep, your chest rising and falling with every breath. you hadn’t heard rafe as he comes in the room, immediately noticing your exposed skin, only wearing a tiny tank top and shorts. he breathes a shaky breath, his hand traveling to palm himself over his slacks. he walks closer to the bed so his tall figure stands over you, continuing to touch himself. he takes his dress suit off and crawls into bed, sliding his arm underneath your head. he presses his hard clothed cock against your ass, sighing out as he does so. you twitch, slightly waking up. rafe slows his movements, pulling your shorts and panties to the side and touching himself at the sight, groaning at your exposed tight, wet pussy. he frees himself from his boxers, jerking himself off. he can’t resist as he slides his dick into your wet hole, exhaling at the feeling. “fuuck sweetheart.” he whispers, leaning down as he presses kisses on your shoulders. your eyes twitch, moving your hands slowly to the pillow under your head. you feel rafe’s big hands on yours and you moan lightly. “shh.” you hear as rafe kisses below your ear and runs his hand up your back and around the back of your neck. “daddy.” you whine, turning your head to look back at rafe, beads of sweat running down his forehead. you stare at his features, the vain in his forehead visible. he’s so big compared to you. you know that he could do whatever he wants to you and you wouldn’t be able to do anything. it turns you on to think about and you moan out. rafe chuckles, squeezing your neck slightly. “fuck i missed you babygirl. daddy missed you.” you exhale softly, eyes rolling at those words. “i missed you too.” you whisper, feeling rafe’s hand palm your ass. your asscheek fits perfectly in his hand and he traces over it before spanking it, causing you to gasp. “oww.” you whine, as he does it again, harder. you moan, arching your back as he squeezes your asscheek. “yeah baby.” he groans, gripping your hair. “do it again.” you tell him as he does, laughing. “fuck, harder please!” he lands a palm to your pretty ass, 3 more times before you bury your face in the pillow to quiet your screams. “come here.” rafe huffs, pulling you up by your neck, turning you around and kissing you harshly before shoving you back down. “mm.” he groans, watching himself disappear inside of you. you whine at the deepness, feeling so full and used. “daddy you’re so big.” you breath, taking him roughly from behind. he huffs, wrapping his hand around your neck and placing his left on your back, continuing fucking you into oblivion. “beg for that shit baby, beg for daddy’s dick. tell me how much you want it.” he pants as you moan, tears forming in your eyes. “fuck- please daddy! please i want your cum, please give me it.” you cry, aching for release as he groans, gripping you tighter. “have i been a good girl daddy?” you continue, trying to hurry things up. his eyes roll back before looking into yours with parted lips. “yeah baby.” he breathes, raising his eyebrows. “fucking cum for me baby girl, show daddy what he does to you, come on.” he lets out as you cry, legs shaking as your orgasm washes over you. “thank youu daddy.” you say shakily as rafe stutters behind you, filling you with warm cum. he falls on top of you, staying inside for awhile before pulling out slowly, watching his cum slowly leak out of your pink and swollen pussy. he kisses the bright red hand print on your ass cheek before pulling the covers over the two of you,
leaving kisses on you and holding you close, falling asleep in each other’s arms.

It had been 5 long days since you had last been inside you and your boyfriend's apartment.
You had gone to visit your mother who had gotten sick and had no one to take care of her. He couldn't come along as he was too busy working at his job as a Janitor. Which may not have been the best job but ultimately the building he worked for had a greater cause.
But after your aunt flew in to take over, you managed to come back home in one peace.
You knew Josh didn't get home from work until much much later so as soon as you came in you made yourself comfortable, throwing the luggage to the side and plopping yourself on the couch.
As you sat there, you took a deep breath and looked around the apartment. Not much had changed except a few dirty dishes in the sink which you made a mental note to clean up before Josh came home.
So you decided to take a quick shower to freshen up after your long trip.
Once you came out you wrapped a towel around your body making your way to your bedroom to change. But that's when you heard it, the sound of your name being called.
You froze for a moment, unsure if you had really just imagined it or if it was actually real. You listened carefully, but there was no sound. That was until you took another step closer and heard your name again, clear and coming from a voice that sounded almost desperate to call you.
Your heart rate began to increase as you realized it was indeed someone calling your name from the other side.
You wrapped the towel tighter around your body and cautiously made your way toward the source of the sound. Both afraid and curious you slowly opened the door to your bedroom.
That’s when you saw him, your boyfriend sitting on his gaming chair. His eyes closed, face lost in pleasure. You looked down and realized his hand was slowly stroking his cock as he called out for you.
You gasped in shock and quickly backed away from the door, crossing your legs, feeling warmth in your core.
You were shocked he was home and maybe even a little offended that out of everything he could be doing he was pleasuring himself without considering waiting for you. But on the other hand, the sight of him had turned you on, and you couldn’t deny it.
You decided to open the door again.
Josh’s eyes flew open as he saw you, he quickly tried to cover himself up. He looked embarrassed, and you could see the flush in his cheeks.
“I-I I’m sorry,” he said, barely managing the words while looking at you with apologetic eyes. “I didn’t know you were home. I-I thought you were still at your mom’s.” He spoke panting.
“You must have not heard me shower then-” You said as you took in the sight.
“I couldn’t help myself, I-I missed you,” his face now blushing uncontrollably.
You took a step closer to him, letting the towel fall from your body. “You know” you whispered, as you walked over to him climbing onto his lap.
“Now that im here,” You spoke slowly pulling off the blanket he had covered himself with, exposing his throbbing cock.
He whined at the feeling of your hands grasping it. “What did you imagine me doing to you,”
He began to whimper uncontrollably as he bucked his hips into your hand desperate for friction. “I-I fuck,” He gasped unable to speak.
You smirked as you continued to stroke him, enjoying the control you had over him. “Tell me, Josh,” you whispered in his ear. “What do you want me to do to you?”
He moaned loudly, his hands grabbing your hips tightly. “Anything,” he said breathlessly. “Anything you want, just please don’t stop.”
You leaned in closer to him, your lips brushing against his ear as you spoke.
“Anything?” you asked, your voice low and sultry. “You missed me that much?”
He nodded eagerly, his eyes filled with desire. “Yes,” he gasped. “P-Please, dont stop.”
You smiled wickedly as you continued to stroke him, enjoying the way he writhed beneath you. “Then promise me,” you said, still whispering in his ear.. “You won't ever touch yourself again without me.”
Josh’s eyes widened at your demand, but he didn’t hesitate in his response. “I promise, I’ll do anything, just keep going please,” He begged.
You chuckled softly at his desperation, enjoying the control you had over him.
Slowly, you leaned down and captured his lips in a heated kiss, your tongue tangling with his as you continued to stroke him. He moaned into your mouth, his body shaking with pleasure.
As you continued to kiss him, you could feel his hands beginning to roam. His hand moved up to your breast as his thumb rubbed your nipple.
You broke the kiss looking at him with a stern look. "I didn't say you could touch me yet," you spoke firmly, your hand still wrapped around his cock. "You said we could do anything I wanted?"
He looked you up and down his hands hovering over your body. “And you dont want me to touch you?”
As much as you wanted to be dominant you gave so easily into his touch. He brushed his fingers down your stomach making his way to your warmth. You shivered grinding into him. “But your already so wet-” he said teasingly before stopping abruptly. "But I won't keep touching you until you let me-”
“You can-” You spoke now craving him more than ever.
Before you could finish your sentence, Josh's lips crashed onto yours, his hands finally finding their way to your body gripping at your thighs. You couldn't help but moan into his kiss as he explored every inch of you with his hands, driving you crazy with desire.
He picked you up off the chair and onto the bed laying you down.
As he broke the kiss, he looked at you running his hands through your curves. “Now I think it's my turn to get what I want-”
Josh grinned down at you,
"And what is it that you want?" you asked, his hands still roaming your body.
"I want to be inside you," He spoke without hesitating, and he quickly positioned himself between your legs, and slowly began to insert himself into you.
As he slid inside you, you moaned loudly, feeling his hardness filling you up completely. Josh began to thrust in and out of you, his movements becoming more frantic as he got closer to the edge. You wrapped your legs around his waist, urging him on as he picked up the pace, each thrust hitting that spot deep inside you that sent waves of pleasure coursing through your body.
Your hands roamed over his back, scratching at his skin as you felt yourself getting closer and closer to the edge. You could feel the tension building inside you, the sensations becoming almost too much to bear.
Josh's hands moved up to your breasts, squeezing and massaging them as he continued to thrust into you with increasing urgency “You dont know how much-” He spoke between thrusts. “I fucking wanted you-”
You couldn't speak your mind lost in ecstasy.
You moaned in response, the pleasure consuming you as Josh's movements became even more frantic.
The sounds of your moans mixed with Josh's groans and the sound of skin slapping against skin filled the room, creating an intense atmosphere of passion and desire.
As Josh's thrusts became faster and more powerful, you felt yourself approaching the peak of pleasure. Your body shook with ecstasy as you reached the brink of orgasm, and with a final thrust, Josh pushed you over the edge.
You cried out in pleasure as the orgasm washed over you, your body convulsing with waves of pleasure. Josh continued to thrust into you, riding out your orgasm before finally reaching his own release.
With a final moan, he collapsed on top of you, his body slick with sweat.
He turned to you caressing your face as he covered your naked body.
“As long as you dont leave me I promise to keep my hands away-”

Vacations with Love at First Sight -P.G6
Summary: At vacations the last thing you both thought was falling in love.
Tumblr media
You were in delight when you got your vacations after studying so hard for five months and two weeks straight, Uni was kicking your calm, patience and sleep hours and now you were done, you were finally getting them back for another two weeks. And it may not be the whole time you'd like but it was what you get and you were going to take the best of it.
You and your friends wanted and decided (After a lot of begging to your parents), that you were going to spend the two vacations week in Ibiza, you have rented the house you were staying in for, you have the food, the restaurants, everything.
And now after three days of being there already, you were loving the idea of coming next summer to Ibiza, the place was so nice and quiet enough to reload your batteries and have a great time with your girls.
What you didn't know was that you had a little admirer looking at you three tables away.
Pablo Gavi, who was also in Ibiza with his friends after a hardworking season with the Barcelona and the National Team, had his eyes on you since the moment you walked through the door with a smile on your face.
"Would you stop looking like a creep?" Adbe, one of Pablo's friends said
"I'm not a creep"
"Please, you have been looking at the girl ever since she came here" Javi joined besides him as Pablo gave him a look "You're not even trying to hide anything" Pablo rolled his eyes as his friends laughed lightly "She's pretty"
"Yes, she is" Aurora nodded agreeing with her boyfriend
"C'mon, Pablito" Fermín smiled at his friend "Go talk to her"
"She's pretty but I don't like her. I can't distract myself with girls, I need to focus for the next season. Besides, she's with her friends, she won't pay attention to me or will just think I'm stupid"
"She won't" Aurora replied "You obviously like her, season is over now, you can relax yourself and have a great time Pablo. Girls won't distract you from anything"
"I won't go"
"Fine. I'll go"
"Aurora, what are you doing?"
"Making friends" And that's how the seven guys watched how Aurora walked over to your table and a few seconds later, you stood up grabbing a chair from the empty table besides you and invited her to sit, which she gladly did
"Oh fuck" Carlos said laughing "Your sister's amazing"
The guys were laughing while Pablo was shaking his head softly looking at you, wondering how easy was for his sister to engage a conversation, he couldn't believe it.
"Aurora's calling me" Javi said standing up
"You're leaving?"
"My girl calls" The guys laughed before Aurora appeared
"The girls are okay with you sitting with them, if you'd like"
"This is your chance, Pablito" Mario said smiling and standing up "It's okay to have someone, you know?"
"Yes, Pablo" Fermín nodded "Stop with those things going on your head, be free and happy"
Pablo sighed watching his friends go around your table, watched how you got two tables together for all of you and slowly let himself stand and walk towards you.
"Hello" He tight smiled and inmediately he was received with your smile and a wave "Where can I sit?"
"There's a seat next to Y/N" Javi said inmediately and it was as if he knew who you were, his eyes went to yours and you smiled moving your chair to the side leaving a seat free for him.
He instantly went to sit next to you with his nerves at the top of his head and actions
"Hello" He heard your voice and instantly fell in love with it, he smiled at you "Y/N Y/L/N" You stuck your hand out and he shook it
"Pablo Gavi" He smiled
"You're Aurora's brother, right?" He nods
"Sorry if she came out a bit too much" You shake your head
"She's lovely"
And that was the start of a conversation with Pablo. Both of you, hitting it off instantly, no one, not even your girl friends, dared to disrupt your conversation with the Sevillano.
"I'm gonna go and bring me another drink" You said standing up "Guys... You want a refill?"
A few "yes" came through the table as you picked their drinks
"I'll help you, girl" You best friend, Pamela said standing up
"Don't you worry, Pamela" Fermín said "Pablo can help her"
Looks were directed to Pablo "Yes, of course!" Pablo said standing up and helping you with the drinks.
You walked over and asked for the refill and as you waited, you and Pablo were in silence for the first time of the evening.
"Y/N" You heard your name being called and you turn to Pablo "What are you doing later?"
"Um- I don't know... Maybe later with the girls go to our room and watch some movie or go to the beach, why?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to go out?" He asked and you smile softly nodding
"Sure, where are we going? Are the guys coming as well?"
"I meant just you and me" Pablo said nodding while pointing to him and you
"Oh! Yes, of course!" Your nods and smile calmed him down "Where are we going?"
"Wherever you want to" You laugh nodding
"What time?"
"Does 5pm sound good?" You nod "Perfect. Make yourself prettier than you already are"
"You think I'm pretty?"
"I don't think you are pretty. You are pretty, I'm just lucky to see it"
"You're a charming one, Pablo" He smiled feeling the blush come to his cheeks "And a very shy one as well"
"Ay, cállate" (Oh, shut up) You laughed carefree as you were being watched by Javi, Aurora, Mario and Fermín
"Told you he was gonna do it" Mario said happily
"I'm happy for him" Fermín said
"So are we" Javi replied for him and for his sister. You came back with the drinks and instead of sitting, you remained up
"Seat's free to sit" One of your friends, Melisa joked as you laughed lightly
"I know it is but we won't sit right now"
"Why?"
"We are going on a walk" Pablo answered smiling softly "I'll bring her back before 9pm"
"You better" Your best friend, Pamela said with a smile "Take care guys"
With a smile, Javi opened his phone and went inside their group chat "Distracted already?🥴 You left your glasses"
And with that text a lot of teasing came through to the poor Sevillano, who couldn't care less about his phone at the moment, he was happy he followed his friends advice.

Tumblr media
you sigh heavily, letting your hand fall to your side. your breathing's heavy and the remnants of an orgasm slowly fade away as you catch your breath.
you eye the bullet vibrator in your hand, wondering when you were last fucked.
too fucking long ago, that's for sure.
you roll out of bed, a groan escaping your lips as you did so. lately, toys and your own fingers just barely got you across. you missed being fucked senseless, you missed the heated kisses, you missed the fingers buried deep in your cunt.
you knew you had your workload to blame for the lack of action. all the pent-up stress and late nights poring over client briefs were getting to you. you needed a release, an actual release, or else you're going to blow.
you walk out of your bedroom, stretching, enjoying the slight chill in your apartment amidst the hot summer day. dragging your feet the rest of the way, you find yourself in the living room. a movie plays on the tv, the lights dimmed for effect.
you turn to the man perched right in the middle of the sofa, leaning forward as if totally enamored with the scene displayed on the screen.
sunoo can get really serious with his movies.
"move," you mumble, squeezing into the plush loveseat. sunoo moves over, not even sparing you a glance. you make a face at him, wrapping your arms around one of his own, face squished against his bicep.
"it's late," sunoo points out, glancing at you momentarily.
"i know," you retort, yawning. sunoo chuckles, tugging his arm free.
"go to bed, _______. you have work tomorrow," sunoo informs, eyeing you with a slightly worried expression.
"can't sleep," you complain, sighing. "couldn't for the last few days, actually."
sunoo turns his attention away from the movie. "is there something wrong?"
you shrug, but you already know what's been keeping you awake at night.
"well, i can see you've been looking pretty miserable lately," sunoo offers sympathetically, running a hand up and down your back.
you groan, rubbing at your face.
"i just—," you begin, bringing your hands down to look sunoo straight in the eye. "don't laugh, okay?"
sunoo throws his hands up as if to say, 'go ahead'. you take a deep breath, thinking of how to formulate your next sentence.
"i think i'm just sexually frustrated," you admit. sunoo nods slowly.
you suddenly get the urge to avoid eye contact as you realize how blunt that came off. you busy yourself with a loose thread on your pajamas.
"oh," sunoo replies. there's an extended pause and you feel your insides churning in embarrassment.
"understandable," sunoo concludes, patting you on the back. you look back at him, a pained expression on your face.
sunoo laughs, pinching your cheek. for a moment, it hurts a little too much but it quickly subsides. you wonder how it would feel to have someone dig their nails into your skin as they grip your jaw.
you blink, trying to rid yourself of that thought. you huff, leaning back further into the couch.
"it just totally escaped me how long i've gone without fucking someone," you explain, mentally counting back the months since your last sexual encounter.
"how long has it been?" sunoo curiously asks.
"like, six months, give or take."
sunoo whistles lowly before chuckling awkwardly. "that is a long time."
"right?!" you affirm, frowning up at sunoo. "i bet you slept with someone lately."
sunoo laughs in disbelief, looking at you with a mix of surprise and indignation.
"how dare you speculate about my sex life?" sunoo says dramatically, elbowing you lightly in the arm.
"no speculation needed, sunoo," you inform, tilting your head towards him. "i can hear you."
sunoo's mouth falls open, eyes flitting momentarily to his bedroom door right beside yours. he looks back at you with a sheepish grin.
"well, i mean...," sunoo trails off, silently gesturing around with his hands.
"...yes."
you burst out laughing, swatting lightly at sunoo's thigh. you notice how short the shorts he's wearing actually are.
"i feel like i have to fuck someone soon or else i'm gonna explode," you complain, leaning back and staring up at the ceiling.
sunoo doesn't respond, joining you in fidgeting with another loose thread on your bottoms. you squirm, pulling away.
"that tickles," you comment absentmindedly.
"have you tried dating apps? how about that guy that you met at one of your events?" sunoo suggests, fingers now running over the velvety material of your pajamas.
"i don't know...guys on those apps are more often than not unsatisfactory," you point out. "and that guy from the event isn't all that good either."
"i see," sunoo replies. you turn to him and his eyebrows are pulled together as if he's deep in thought. he's still running his hand over your pajamas.
sunoo catches your eye and you stare for a moment. his hand stops dangerously close to your inner thigh.
"do you think you're good in bed?" you ask sunoo. he pulls his hand away, laying it on his chest as if to clutch at invisible pearls.
"why would you ask me that?" sunoo demands, seemingly offended, but his sentence breaks out into a giggle at the end.
"i don't know," you admit. "you have a lot of people over. i'm sure some of them are returning participants."
"wouldn't you like to know?" sunoo teases, sticking his tongue out at you before crossing his arms.
you pause. your eyes linger back down to the exposed skin of sunoo's thighs, smooth and seemingly flawless. you observe his forearms next, muscles taut against his chest, which, to your knowledge, is pretty firmed up. you meet sunoo's eyes and they immediately widen.
"don't say yes," sunoo warns, scooting to the end of the loveseat. he holds his arms out as if to ward you off.
you roll your eyes, turning away from him. "please, why would i want to know?"
"no, because...," sunoo begins. you look back at him curiously. "if you say yes, i'll say yes."
"for real?" you ask in surprise. you eye sunoo cautiously, looking for any indicator that this is a prank. you're positive this must be a prank.
sunoo nods.
"you're my best friend," you reason, still convinced he's pulling your leg.
"yeah," sunoo says with a nonchalant wave of his hand. "i'm helping you out. and, like, we both get something out of it."
"what are you getting out of it?"
sunoo gestures vaguely with his hands. "i get my dick wet?"
"that's weird," you deadpan.
sunoo sighs, reaching over for the remote to pause the movie still playing on the tv. he turns back to you and looks you directly in the eye.
"look, if you don't want to, just say so," sunoo says, raising an eyebrow.
"i—," you start.
you would be lying if you said you haven't thought about it before. someone with a dick and someone with a pussy renting a whole space together? when both are single? and in their early adulthood? the mind tends to wander.
sunoo stands from his seat. "last chance before i go to bed."
you bite your lip, giving sunoo a once-over. you're fully aware of the sounds that come from his room whenever he has someone over. the thought of sunoo doing...things to excite them that much stirs something in you.
"promise this won't make things weird?" you ask, standing up to get closer to sunoo's height. not that it makes much of a difference. he towers over you, either way.
sunoo smirks down at you, shaking his head no. he reaches out to you, rubbing up and down your arms.
"okay," you say, nodding.
"okay," sunoo mimics. he pulls you closer to him, nearly pressing your chests together.
"i'm going to kiss you now," sunoo warns, cradling one side of your face.
you nod, hypnotized by just how pretty he is up close.
"you have to tell me that you're okay with it," sunoo whispers, and you think you hear a hint of condescension in his voice.
"please," you whisper back. "kiss me."
sunoo wastes no time in pressing his lips to yours. you gasp against the kiss, surprised at how intense sunoo starts out. he parts his lips and you mirror the action. the inside of his mouth is warm, your breaths mingling as sunoo roughly pushes you toward the direction of his room.
it's a challenge, walking backward the way you are right now, but sunoo keeps a firm grip on the back of your neck and on your waist, steering you where you need to go. finally, he gets his bedroom door open, practically shoving you inside.
the two of you stumble onto his bed, the wind knocking out of you for a moment as your back hits the mattress. sunoo hovers over you, hoisting you further up his bed as if you weighed nothing at all.
"safeword?" sunoo asks, hands slipping under your shirt. you swallow, thinking about what the two of you could possibly end up doing for it to warrant a safeword.
"p-pajamas," you mutter, feeling sunoo's fingers graze your breasts. sunoo nods, cupping both in his hands.
"can't believe you've been hiding these from me," sunoo comments mischievously, kneading away at your boobs.
you inhale, squirming under sunoo's touch. he squeezes, hard, and you back arches off the bed.
"ngh—!" you gasp, trying to pry sunoo's hands off you.
"what, i thought you wanted this?" sunoo questions innocently. he jams a knee to your core, and you mindlessly start to grind down, wetness instantly pooling between your legs at the friction.
"you're humping my leg like some desperate puppy," sunoo says with a chuckle. "you really must be so frustrated. aren't you, doll?"
you look at sunoo and his whole expression is darkened with lust. he's not the sunoo you cook breakfast with on weekend mornings, he's not the sunoo who counsels you on your numerous failed situationships, and he's definitely not the sunoo that cheerily greets you every time you get home from a long day at work.
this sunoo is set on one thing, and on one thing only: to give you what you asked for.
"please," you whimper. "please, i need it."
"need what?" sunoo asks, pulling away. you grab at him in desperation, wanting the feeling of his firm thigh back against your pussy.
"need you," you say in a hurry. "need you so, so bad."
sunoo grins darkly, eyes raking over your disheveled figure on his bed.
"where do you need me?" sunoo asks again, running his hands up and down your thighs. your legs immediately spread, and sunoo laughs.
"someone's forgotten how to speak, it seems," sunoo observes, two fingers pressing into your core through your clothes. your mouth hangs open in a silent gasp.
"pathetic, needy whore," sunoo says with overflowing venom. you shake your head, tears prickling in your eyes from the words. you feel your throat constrict, and you know you're about to cry.
it's a thrilling feeling.
sunoo makes a disappointed noise. "and a crybaby, too."
sunoo roughly grabs at your shirt, hiking it up over your boobs. "off," he commands.
you wiggle out of the garment as best you can while lying down, tossing it to the floor. sunoo dips down, latching on to one of your nipples. his tongue flicks against it mercilessly. his teeth graze it ever so slightly.
"s-sunoo," you whine. "too much, too much!"
"too much?" sunoo asks, pulling away. "baby, i'll show you what 'too much' is."
sunoo undresses, his half-hard cock in full view. you gape at it, unsure of what you were expecting, but you know for sure that it's mouthwateringly pretty.
sunoo harshly pulls your bottoms and underwear down, practically dragging you off the bed in the process. your heart beats wildly in your chest, still unable to comprehend how a gentle being like sunoo is acting this way with you.
"so wet," sunoo observes, toying with your cunt. he runs a finger lightly through your folds and your hips buck desperately.
"like this, sweetheart?" sunoo says lightly, teasing your clit with just the tip of his finger.
"more," you moan, fingers gripping the sheets beneath you.
sunoo increases the pressure against your clit, unwavering eyes watching your every reaction. you mewl and whine pathetically, wanting him to just give it to you.
"jesus, you really are just so ready to be fucked," sunoo says with a laugh. he plunges two fingers into you without warning and you cry out.
"is this what you want?" sunoo demands, grabbing your face so you could look at him. "want me to fuck you with my fingers and cock?"
you nod vigorously, a strangled moan ripping through you as sunoo's fingers stretch you out. he expertly moves them in and out, angling up to hit that one spongy wall in you. you feel pressure build up in your belly and your eyes roll into the back of your head.
"yes!" you gasp, your whole pelvis moving up to meet his fingers.
sunoo's hand moves down to your neck, pressing you down to the bed. you try to breathe in but it proves difficult, and the subsequent lightheadedness feels like heaven to you.
"you really shouldn't go this long without getting fucked," sunoo says with a shake of his head. "it turns you into a greedy slut."
you cry for real this time, all the sensations assaulting you from all sides. you haven't been fucked this intensely before, and it feels so, so good.
suddenly, without warning, you feel the pressure give way in your abdomen, and you feel a gush in between your legs. sunoo lets go of your neck, caught off guard as well by what you've just done.
sunoo's sheets are drenched and you can see your release coating his arm and part of his chest and abs, too.
"you're killing me here, _______," sunoo smirks, shoving the fingers that were just inside you right into your mouth. you obediently suck, tasting the hint of saltiness of yourself.
"gotta find out what else you're hiding from me," sunoo concludes, pulling you closer to him by your waist.
in a second, he flips you over on your belly, your face shoved down onto the bed. you lay there, splayed out flat, fully in sunoo's mercy.
sunoo grabs you by your hips this time, pulling your ass flush against his front. you lift yourself up on shaky arms, your first orgasm rendering your limbs jelly-like.
a loud smack resounds inside the room, followed by a sting on your ass cheek. you lurch forward, caught by surprise.
another spank rains down on you, and another, and then another. you lose count after five as your mind hazes over.
"please," you beg, tears spilling once again from your eyes. "no more, no more, no more!"
sunoo leans down so his lips are right next to your ear. "no more? do you want me to stop, angel?"
you shudder as sunoo's breath tickles your ear. you merely sob in response, the throbbing in your pussy the only thing you can focus on at the moment.
sunoo tenderly kisses your temple. "one last."
sunoo delivers his hardest spank yet, and you wail, burying your face into his pillows. you nearly lose all coherent thought, the only thing on your mind being the need for sunoo to fuck you brainless.
you collapse on the bed entirely, body shaking. whether from anticipation, pain, or exhaustion, you can't seem to figure out.
you're flipped back over onto your back and you see sunoo leaning over before kissing you sweetly. he rubs at your sore backside, trailing kisses down the side of your face.
"good girl," sunoo mumbles against your skin. he pulls away just enough to gaze at your tear-streaked face.
"you okay? do you need a break?" sunoo asks, expression back to the one you're most familiar with, the one that belongs to the person you swear could never do the things he just did.
you shake your head, still feeling the ache in your core.
"please sunoo," you implore. "need you inside. need you to fuck me."
sunoo's eyes darken again as he nods, pulling himself upright. he yanks your legs apart, observing your glistening pussy. he brings his hand down to it, a wet smack echoing throughout the room.
you let out a garbled noise, your whole body jerking in response. sunoo repeats this a few times.
"gonna let me fuck this pretty pussy?" sunoo interrogates, looking at you expectantly.
"yes! yes, please, fuck me!" you say, voice strained.
sunoo pulls you closer to him, smashing your lips together in a messy kiss. you eagerly kiss back, clinging to him as if he might disappear at any moment. sunoo angles his hips and slides inside you in one swift motion.
you groan at the sudden fullness, feeling sunoo deep inside you. he fucks you harshly, pushing you down on the bed and into a mating press. you watch sunoo's face scrunched up with concentration, sweat dripping down his chiseled features.
"fuck, you feel so good," sunoo grunts. "gonna fuck this pussy every day."
you clench down at those words. "please, need you like this every day."
sunoo moans, head thrown back as he continues to fuck into you with abandon. you're overwhelmed yourself, your walls stretching and stimulated from the drag of sunoo's dick in and out of you.
"sunoo!" you cry out, mind blanking with nothing else but your best friend filling your brain. "sunoo, sunoo, fuck yes, sunoo!"
"yeah, let the neighbors hear," sunoo taunts, this time, striking you across the face. your vision blurs for a moment, more shocked than hurt.
"you want them to hear, don't you?" sunoo goes again, slapping you from the other side of your face. you don't even know what you say in response, but you assume it pleases sunoo to hear because he adjusts his angle with a groan and fucks into you even faster.
"dirty whore," sunoo says through gritted teeth. "making your best friend fuck you just because you haven't had dick in months."
you let out a string of curses, the overwhelming pressure building up again inside you. you're positive that this one will be even bigger than the first.
your orgasm seizes your entire body, your limbs tensing up as you're overtaken by pleasure. sunoo moans out your name, sheathing himself fully inside you as he cums, shooting his load deep within your walls. you make a mess all over yourselves again, your juices seeping out and dribbling onto the bed.
sunoo catches himself before he tumbles over, pulling out abruptly. you whimper, the sudden ache of emptiness surprising you. sunoo sits up, watching you intently. you lay there, a gasping, crying mess.
"sshh," sunoo soothes, pulling you into his arms and cradling you to his chest.
"you did so well," sunoo compliments, kissing you on the forehead. you take big gulps of air as you steady your breath, blinking away the remainder of your tears.
"that was amazing, sun," you mumble, words slurring around the edges as exhaustion catches up to you.
"thank you, baby," sunoo says, smiling down at you. "so were you."
you grin sleepily, laying your head on sunoo's chest.
"don't sleep yet, dumbass," sunoo says, laughing. "we made a mess, so we gotta shower."
you whine in protest, curling further into sunoo. your best friend sighs, carefully sliding off the bed, grunting as he scoops you into his arms.
"come on," sunoo begins chirpily. "i'll clean you up."
"thank you," you respond, kissing sunoo's neck. "love you."
sunoo giggles, attacking you with multiple kisses to the face.
"love you, too."

Mine First  With; James Potter (ATJ)
Tumblr media
A/N: Hello again! This took forever, I know. Writing has been taking me so much longer lately. What used to be single sit downs has become a three week mf process. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. This one was based of a request so feel free to keep flooding the inbox.
Summary: The one where you finally meet James’ best friends
TW: some suggestive humor, drinking
Tumblr media
It’s a brisk walk from where the cab’s dropped you off to the pub. The summer air is inviting, and you can smell some bonfire miles away as the streetlights illuminate your path from the lot. The harrowing work week has come and gone, and James has finally convinced you to meet his long-loved group of friends for a drink.
It’s not like you believed you wouldn't like them. From the loads of stories of your boyfriends retold fondly from his school years, they’re an amazing bunch. But that’s just the thing, James’ friends seem absolutely amazing. A beautiful blend of complimenting personalities to form one unbreakable bond.
Its undoubtedly intimidating. You’d never want to nose your way in on such a close-knit group. They’ve shared so much together, you’d hate to intrude. Besides, what if they didn’t enjoy your company? Whether you were too closed-off, too eccentric, too in-between. The thought has you stopping in your tracks, just short of the quaint pubs’ entrance. James halts too, having been pulled back your interlocked hands. The elation falls from his face as his eyes meet yours, lips pulling into a frown at your anxious demeanor.
“What is it, love?” His hands go to hold your face, side-stepping drunken patrons as they shuffle out of the door.
“What if they don’t like me?” If James’ eyes weren’t trained on your every movement, every breath, he’d probably miss the words slip past your lips. There’s not an ounce of self pity to them. It’s so soft, so gentle he practically feels his heart tear in two.
“Sweetheart,” it escapes as a chuckle, astonished at the notion. “I promise you, those chances are terribly slim. Impossible even.” He presses a kiss to your lips because he can’t help it, another to your jaw. Willing away the oncoming anxiety in a way only he can manage. “They’re going to love you.”
“You can’t know that.” You tug at sleeves of his leather jacket you’ve borrowed, feeling simultaneously under and over dressed with the white long-sleeved top underneath.
“I can, because I love you.” His hands fall to your hips to send a reassuring squeeze, readjusting your necklace so the clasp is to the back of your neck. “Stop fiddling with your outfit, you look great.” His hazel eyes narrow, “a little too good, I think. Avoid Sirius, he’ll start flirting.” You only roll your eyes, letting him pull you into an embrace with a slow, deep breath. Pushing at his broad shoulders and fighting a fit of giggles when he blows a raspberry into your neck.
“Okay, okay. Enough, James.”
“Im sorry, love. Can’t help it.” He mutters the confession into the shell of your ear, ignoring your squirms of protest. With a reluctant pull away, he raises his brows in expectation, satisfied smirk adorning his features now that he’s effectively warmed you up. “We ready?”
“Ready.” You take his outstretched hand with ease, letting him lead you in.
Light and laughter swarms your senses as soon as the door opens. The quiet of the night escapes you as it shuts behind your form. James greets a few familiar faces as he leads you through the crowded pub. It’s a town favorite, one he frequents with his friends. So much so that the owner saves a booth in the back for the lot of them.
They’re rowdy as you approach, in the midst of some drinking game you recognize from high school. A pile of spoons are lined up on the table whilst they all reach for playing cards to add to their pile. The pretty red head’s eyes widen when she collects her most recent card, diving across to reach for a utensil. The rest of them are instantaneous in their follow-up, all reaching for a spoon of their own with a chorus of shouts and profanities. A tall, sandy haired gentleman huffs a sigh, regrettably chugging what’s left in his cup, seeing as he’s the only one without a utensil in hand. Faded scars adorn his handsome features, and it’s then you recognize him as Remus. The kind soul with some chronic illness, though it does little to stiffen his sass.
James clears his throat, grabbing the group’s attention. “Having all the fun without us, are you?” They erupt in cheers, delighted with his presence. Immediately, their eyes avert to you, all kind and curious smiles. “Everyone, this is y/n. Love, this is...Everyone.” You offer a shy wave, immediately feeling silly with the action.
“But…She’s so pretty?” A long, raven-haired boy chimes in, and another fit of laughter elicits from the group. The red head stands, ushering you into the booth with a gentle manicured hand on your shoulder.
“Sit down, sit down. You’re as lovely as James described.” A blush adorns your cheeks, a glance to James for reassurance as you sit. “I’m Lilly, we’re so happy to finally meet you!”
“Considering Prongs has hid you from us for so long.” A beautiful girl with curly hair and caramel-colored skin teases beside Remus, squeezing your hand with hers. With another quick look to your boyfriend, he mouths ‘Mary’ without needing you to ask.
“Can you blame me? We’re here all of two seconds and you’re on her like hounds.” James’ hand squeezes your knee as he leans down, grabbing your attention. “What d’you want to drink?” It's a bit noisy, you have to focus your hearing on him amongst all the excitement.
“Surprise me.” Is all you can manage, nodding to Remus when he holds up cards in a silent ask if you’ll join the game.
“Anyone else?” A chorus of orders follows your boyfriend’s polite gesture, and he frowns. “Pitchers for the table it is, then. Be back in a sec.” With a kiss to your temple, your boyfriend backs away to leave you to the (albeit friendly) wolves. Sirius scrambles out of the booth, eager to unload all his questions on his best friend.
“Hold up, Prongs. I’ll help!” Immediately, the connection between the two is palpable. The lanky boy practically tackles your boyfriend into a hug. Patting his back in an obvious ‘job well done.’ You ignore their shared gaze as they await their orders. James is more than happy to blabber on about you to anyone that will let him, so he allows the array of questions from his best friend.
“They’re quite a pair.” You note fondly, watching as Black ruffles a blushing James’ hair at the bar.
“I’ll say.” Remus smiles too, expertly shuffling the stack of cards as he glances over at the two. “Biggest troublemakers in our year.” The girls nod along, setting up the game front them between sips of their drinks.
“You’re kidding?” This catches all their attention, pausing their movements as you cock your head in question.
“You mean James hasn’t mentioned his pranking phase?” You shake your head,  feeling as though you’re about to gain some great blackmail.
“Not even the time he accidentally died his own hair pink for a week?”
“Shut up.” The three nod eagerly, and you decide you love them already.
“We’ll get into that later,” Mary frowns at the cards in hand, uncaring for a poker face. Brown eyes glistening with mischief as she surveys you. “Give us all details on James.”
You can only laugh. “Like what?” The four of you are quick as you converse, picking up cards and putting them down just as swiftly. Eager to collect four of a kind.
“Is he romantic?” Lilly starts, muttering a profanity at a card before disposing it.
“Does he plan all of the dates?” Mary adds, eyes averting to the pair still at the bar to ensure your privacy.
“Does he still lose his glasses six times a day?” His old roommate grumbles, no real irritation to it. Sirius approaches the table before James with enough time to hear the interviewing, sliding in the booth beside you after setting the pitcher of beer down with a smug grin.
“Is he as good in bed as he lets on?” You cough on your own saliva at his  teasing, trying to gain composure as James approaches. Brows taught in concern as he surveys the lot of his friends trying to conceal their laughter. Sirius goes to pat your back soothingly, making contact only once before he’s hoisted from his seat by the collar and sent to the booth on the other side. James takes his place, shooting an incredulous glare to his best mate when you offer a meek smile after having calmed down.
“Alright, dove? You’re flushed.” He cups your jaw in his hand, thumb rubbing over your brow. You pull at his wrist to cease his doting, eyes shooting toward Remus when he snatches a spoon. You try, but your distraction has gotten the best of you. You stick a tongue out to the lot of them as they cheer, tilting you head back to chug your drink. James beams as they applaud on, astonished at your speed. An overwhelming sense of pride filling him at their impress.
When you’re finished, grimacing at the taste and laughing along, Potter can’t help but stare. You’re fitting right in, just as he’d suspected. Completely enamored with the notion, he presses a kiss to your shoulder, shifting closer so he can get in on the game.
Your pitchers are on their third refill when James pulls you into his lap, insisting it’ll grant more room to the pair of you and the two girls beside you. Usually, you’d refuse his public displays of affection, but it’s honestly more comfortable for the lot of you. Admittedly, his friends are even better than he’s described, and despite having just met them you feel completely at ease in their company. When you’ve changed card games and you’ve still lost, Potter wraps his arms around you so that you can see his own. “You can be on my team, then.” He has to lean close for you to hear, and you bite back a smile in lieu of a poker face. Eyeing the raven-haired boy from across the table with a smug grin.
“Thank you, Jamie. Always so generous.” This time, Sirius chokes. Trying not to spit out the contents of his pint all over the table at your suggestive tone. The rest of the booth besides your poor, clueless boyfriend crumples into fits of laughter. Unbeknownst to your previous conversation and your obvious innuendo.
“I love her, Prongs. She’s officially one of us.” Mary kisses the crown of your head whilst wiping tears from her eyes.
Potter is still utterly bewildered at your odd behaviors, but the elation of your acceptance is still distracting. Of course, he knew this would happen. He knows better than anyone how impossible it’d be not to love you.
“Agreed, let’s keep her.” Remus jests, tilting his glass to you with an amused smile.
“Here,” Lilly leans over her curly-haired friend with her phone outstretched to you. “Let’s exchange numbers. This way I won’t have to go through Prongs.”
Mary nods, narrowing her eyes at your boyfriend above you. “We should add her to the girls group chat too, if he’s being a prick she can let us know and we’ll tell him off.”
“I’m sitting right here, you know.” James shields his cards from Remus, who’s attempting to take the distraction as an opportunity to cheat.
When you’re finished typing your digits into the redheads phone, you lean forward to look at both girls with raised brows. “Bathroom?” They nod, motioning for your boyfriend to slide you both out of the booth so they can file out. You hesitate before following them, turning on your heel to face the boys again.
“Sirius is completely bluffing. And Remus has a good hand, but it’s not as good as yours. Don’t fold.” You press a kiss to his temple before taking Lilly’s hand to maneuver through the rowdy crowd, leaving the trio with jaws dropped. Sirius chucks his pile onto the table face up, arms crossed with childish pout. Remus folds too, too impressed to be angry.
“Mate, how on Earth did you manage that one?” James can’t face them, too focused on watching your frame disappear into the crowd.
“Absolutely no clue, honestly.”
********
You huff a sigh as you press send on the seventh email of the night, overwhelmed with the current workload as a company presentation approaches. James is in the living room watching tv, decompressing from his own work day. He gets a call, and there’s some back and forth before he’s knocking at the office door. Approaching with the phone to his ear and a sympathetic smile at your hunched form.
“Dove, lads want to know if you’ll make it out tonight.”
“I don't know.” You purse your lips, considering your options as you make a correction to your project.
“She's not sure, finishing up work,” a pause as he awaits response.  “What do you mean I might as well not come?” You laugh at that, rubbing your temples to ease your stress. James comes up behind you to massage your shoulder with his free hand. Pressing a kiss to the crown of your head with furrowed brows.  “That won't convince her, and especially not me. I buy all her drinks, Black.” There's more conversation on the other line, one you still can't make out despite your boyfriends proximity. “Oh. Well that might.” James presses the phone to his chest and spins your chair so you’re facing him. Crouching down to level with you. “Pads says he’ll sign up for karaoke if you come out.” More talking on the phone has him pressing it to his ear again, grimacing. “Says they won't tolerate my moping if you aren't there.”
“Is he serious?” James rolls his eyes, though it’s not directed at you. This time you can make out the ‘that's my name’ cheekily shouted on the other line. Potter tilts your chin to meet his eyes, full of heartwarming sincerity.
“Up to you, lovely. No pressure.”
You hate how well he reads you. Practically visualizing the balance scale in your head, anxiously weighing your options. To be fair, you’ve been at it for hours, and have the rest of the weekend to make any last minute changes to the work.
“Give me an hour to get ready.” There’s muffled cheers through the phone, and your boyfriend doesn’t even try to conceal his pleased expression as he presses chaste kiss to your lips.
***********
You’re busy in the kitchen next time round. Adding freshly chopped vegetables to the sizzling pan whilst James stirs. It’s awfully domestic, a fondness your heart still hasn’t grown accustomed to.
You’re planning for a movie night. It’s been a long day and an even longer week,  so a night in seems fitting. Music sounds softly from the record player across the room, Potter admires the way you hum along to the tune without thinking. He catches your frame with his free arm amidst your path to the fridge in search of more ingredients, nipping at the juncture of skin between your neck and shoulder despite your squirms. You pretend to resent his constant longing for affection, half-heartedly pushing against his bicep with muffled laughter into the fabric of his shirt.
“You’re unbearable, Potter.”
“Hardly.” You shut him up by feeding him a cherry tomato, knowing full well he’ll only eat them unless they're incorporated into a meal. He practically gags, lunging toward you in search of revenge. Heavy arms wrap around your waist to hoist you onto the counter, his hazel eyes narrowed with feigned betrayal. Your phone goes off just then, Lilly’s contact photo beams brightly beside you.
“Saved by the bell. You’re lucky.” You wave off his empty threats, bringing the phone to your ear with a delighted, albeit confused, smile.
“Hello?”
“Have you even bothered glancing at the group chat? You’re coming, aren’t you?”
Your doting boyfriend, nosey as he is, nudges himself between your knees once more. Lowering the heat on the stove to slow it’s cooking.
“Marlene’s hosting a girls night! Sort of last minute, I know. But we’re all in dire need of a shit talk and a drink, yeah?”
James rears his head back from where it’s situated against yours to hear better, beaming bright with a succinct nod.
“That does sound nice-”
“Lovely! James won’t mind driving you I’m sure.” Your mouth opens to speak before he’s leaning in close again.
“Not at all, anyone else need a ride?”
“Prongs, you shouldn’t be eavesdropping. But no, thank you. We should be alright. See you around 8, y/n. Dress code is strictly pajamas, by the way.”
“Great, thanks Lill’s.” The call ends just in time for the red head to miss James clashing his lips into yours. Grin never leaving his face as his hands take your head in their hold. You pout despite him.
“What about our movie night? You’re not upset?”
“Not at all, lovely. I love that they love you, and I’m even happier that I was right.”
“And our raincheck?”
“Tomorrow. When you’re hungover and grumpy and I can smother you to my hearts content.” You adjust his glasses and his hair, feeling unworthy of his selfless nature. “I’m just wondering when my mates decided they fancy your company over mine.”
************
James is enthralled in the rom-com you’d begged him to watch during your marathon. The same one he guaranteed he wouldn’t watch unless you forced him, and promised he’d save for tomorrow. He’s nearing the end and still debating whether he should fess up or pretend to be watching it for the first time when you accompany him. His phone buzzes beside him, a click as he answers before even glancing at the contact.
“Yes?”
“Hey, Jamie.” Your smile is evident in your voice, light and airy. Potter’s brows shoot upward at the nickname, one rarely used unless you’re-
“I’m a little drunk.” It’s a whisper, some sacred secret he’s elated in receiving. Cheeks burning with the knowing grin adorning his features as he stands. Patting pockets and tossing round pillows in search for his keys.
“Things are wrapping up there, sweetheart?”
“I think so. Most of the girls are staying over. They're really nice, Jamie. I think they like me.” His grin grows impossibly bigger, heart thrumming with pure love as you hiccup between words.
“I’m sure they do, lovely. Very hard not to. Did you want to stay?” There's a pause, a shuffle on the other end. As if you’ve switched ears.
“I thought about it...” He cocks his head, awaiting your conclusion. “But I think..” Another pause.
“What is it, sweetheart?”
“I miss you.” The three words elicit more emotion than winning the Quidditch cup. Without a doubt.
“Yeah?”
“Only a bit.” You’re shy, then. Distracted by an eruption of laughter and a shout of your name in the background.
“Only a bit? I’ll leave you girls to it, then.”
“James-”
“Only joking, Dove. Give me twenty minutes, yeah?”
“Drive safe, please.”
“Always. I’ll text you when I’m there.”
**********
“Potter!” Dorcas points a wobbly finger toward the man leaning against his car at the curb, eyes narrowed. “You’re stealing her from us?” You’re too busy giving a second round of farewell hugs to notice him just then.
“She was mine first, you know.”
“Nonsense.” Mary crosses her arms in mock defense. “We’ve turned her to the dark side.” It’s then you face his direction, unable to conceal how quickly your face lights up. Swiftly enclosing the space between you and nearly knocking him over with the force of your hug. He presses an array of kisses to the top of your head, and extra couple to your lips before he pulls you in again. Sticking his tongue out victoriously to the girls ahead.
“They’re so in love, it’s nauseating.” Dorcas is all smiles as she speaks her mind. Her and Marlene approaching Potter as he opens the door for you. Unnecessarily reaching over to clasp your seatbelt himself.
“You better take care of this one, Prongs.” Mary nudges the much taller brunette with complete sincerity. Doing her best to seem intimidating.
“Right.” Dorcas nods along, eyes trailing his form as he rounds toward the drivers side. “If you fuck it up and its between you and her, we’re choosing her.” James can’t help but laugh, arms raised in surrender as his eyes instinctively fall onto you.
“I wouldn’t blame you, honestly. I’d choose her too.” Its a chorus of gags at this, though Potter’s too enveloped in your abashed demeanor to care.
“Off my property, the two of you. You’re sickening.”

Mingyu hums, raising his head to look at the end of the hallway, where the door to the balcony is situated. When he returns his gaze to you, he tilts his head cutely, licking his lips. “You wanna wait by the balcony? I told the guests not to go on there too much so that i won’t get a noise complaint from the neighbors. I think it’s safe if you go there.”
With a smile, you nod at Mingyu, “yeah, that would be great. Thanks.” You place one of your hands on the wall next to the kitchen before leaning in so he hears you better over the music. “Don’t die in there by the way! We haven’t even gone to Iceland yet like we planned to years ago– it would be a waste for you to miss out on our extravagant bucket list, right?”
Mingyu’s laugh fills your ears, the sound making you smile from ear to ear. “C’mon, who do you take me for? Seok– Oh sorry.” Mingyu cuts himself off, lifting his two hands in the air with one still holding all the shot glasses. The girl, who just bumped into Mingyu, and who you recognize as one of your classmates from your major, pushes her hair behind her ear, blushing at your friend.
Before she leaves, she mumbles a few words, but the music is way too loud for you to make out what it was, and then she’s gone.
You don’t pay too much attention to it, as does Mingyu, who’s already back to look at you. It’s not the first and certainly not the last time someone is going to bump into one of you two at his party.
“Sorry, what were you saying?” You turn back to Mingyu, crossing your arms and making the silver necklace you’re currently wearing shine even more under the flashy led lights.
“Ah, sweetheart, you never listen do you?” Mingyu brings his free hand up to your jaw, tapping on the underside of your chin with his index finger. “I said, you need to stop biting your lips when you’re nervous. They’re too pretty for that.”
You can’t speak, your entire vocabulary having left your body. His hand then turns to cup the underside of your jaw, his thump grazing over your bottom lip, ultimately smudging a bit of your lipgloss. Your mouth falls open a bit at the shock but he doesn’t stop. “A pretty color.. for pretty lips. Suiting.” His thumb sweeps one last time over your lip before he retreats into the kitchen.
“Wait for me by the balcony, I'll grab our drinks for us.”

Following the death of Principal Weems, the rest of the semester was canceled and everyone went home. Students and parents crowded the hall with their suitcases, making it difficult to navigate. Lurch would be picking you and Wednesday up, but you needed to find your sister first.
Your shoulder was still tender from the arrow you took during the battle against Crackstone, but it was healing well. There will undoubtedly be a scar, but nothing too noticeable.
Your eyes searched for a pink blob, figuring Wednesday would be with Enid. Since the battle, the two have been attached to the hip.
During your search, your eyes fell on Xavier at the top of the stairs, leaning against the railing. He waved and you lifted your eyebrows. What could he want?
The heels of your shoes clicked as you walked up the stairs and made your way to Xavier. You and him had started on the wrong foot at your arrival at Nevermore, but you were good now.
A smile grew on his face when you appeared in his sightline, happy to see you were on your two feet and well. He tried to visit you at the infirmary, but you were already gone when he showed up.
''I heard you're a free man now,'' you said flatly.
Xavier nodded once. ''Yep. All charges dismissed.''
Although you weren't the one who wrongly framed him, you felt a little responsible for the time he spent behind bars. Wednesday needed to apologize for what she put him through. Those days and nights he spent in the small cell must've been long, sad and lonely — even for a solitaire like Xavier.
''I got you something. It's a thank you for taking that arrow for me. You didn't have to do that.'' He handed you a black box with a matching ribbon, trying to conceal how smitten he was for you. ''Welcome to the 21st century, Addams.''
You opened the top, impressed by the fancy wrapping, and revealed the small object inside the box: a brand new and shiny cell phone. Your eyes shifted to the gift giver.
''My number's in there already.''
''It's bold of you to assume I would need it.'' You closed the box. ''I hope you don't expect me to call you.''
Xavier shook his head. He would be waiting forever. ''No. Never. But I'd settle for a text, though.''
''Goodbye, Xavier.''
*
For the first weeks of being home, you ignored every one of his texts. You made it look like you didn't care, but deep down you were very happy to get a message from him. Thing kept telling you it was rude to not answer and that you should text him back, but Xavier knew to expect nothing from you. You doubted he was offended by your silence.
After a full month of silence, you started giving him short answers once in a while. He was surprised the first time you replied. He even sent you a shocked emoji of his face. But you had to tell him that the quote he was reciting was wrong.
And, you were starting to miss him. Just a little.
One late evening, you found yourself looking him up on social media. There were mostly artsy pictures of tubes of paint and dirty brushes, paintings, a garden you assumed to be in his backyard, and the most recent, a selfie of him and Ajax. According to the posting date, it had been taken a few days ago. You noticed Xavier's hair had gotten longer. He was now able to do a full ponytail without having shorter pieces falling out at the front.
He looked handsome.
*
Summer came, and so did Enid. After begging her parents to let her take a flight across the country to visit you and Wednesday — mostly Wednesday —, they finally agreed. Her mom said it was her reward for finally wolfing out, which sounded wrong to your ears.
Your parents were surprised when they saw her coming out of the Addams' black Cadillac, looking the exact opposite of their daughters, but they grew fond of her very quickly. After two days, she was already part of the family.
While Wednesday was slowly and secretly falling for the sweet werewolf who favored the color pink, you caught yourself developing feelings for Xavier. He had taught you how to make video calls and it was so much better than texting.
''What is this called again?'' you asked, seeing Xavier's face through the small screen.
''Facetime.''
''Oh. Yes.'' You always forgot the name. ''I like this.'' I like seeing you.
Xavier smiled, his dimples poking through his cheeks.
You began talking about the black dahlias you grew in your mother's greenhouse and although Xavier didn't know shit about plants and flowers, he listened to everything you had to say. He loved listening to your voice.
As summer went on, it was getting more and more difficult for him to hide his feelings. Even through a screen. He was falling hard for you. But you didn't like him that way and, although he deeply wished you would feel the same, he respected that. He liked you so much that he just wanted to be around you — or in your life —, including being okay with being placed in the friendzone, even if that was obviously the last place he wanted to be.
*
The leaves began changing colors and Lurch drove the Addams clan to the academy. A single black dahlia rested on your lap, which earned a confused look from your sister. If you wanted to bring flowers to your dorm, wouldn't it have been more practical to bring a pot?
You ignored her question and went back to looking out the window until the gates of Nevermore Academy came in sight. A strange feeling bubbled in your stomach and your mother didn't fail to notice the slight twitch of your lips.
After saying goodbye to your parents and Pugsley, Wednesday left to find Enid and your eyes searched the quad for Xavier. You spotted his best friend, and found the green eyed artist by his side.
A small smile curled on your lips, but you quickly composed yourself. To make up, you gave a death stare to the first year boy on your right. He quickly hung his head down. It wasn't nice, but you had a reputation to maintain.
Raising your eyes back to Xavier, you watched as he laughed at something Ajax must have said. It was nice to see him in person and not trapped in a tiny phone screen.
You smoothed your dress and went to him. ''Hi.''
Xavier's attention snapped the second you opened your mouth, a melody to his ears. ''Hi,'' he greeted back, trying to fight the smile on his face but failing.
Beside him, Ajax bit back a snicker, then excused himself.
''This is for you,'' you said, handing him the black dahlia you were holding. ''Grown in my personal greenhouse.''
A soft flush coloring his cheeks. Xavier acted standoffish with everyone, but you had him wrapped around your little finger.
A misogynist would be offended, saying men offer flowers to women. Not Xavier.
He accepted the single flower and twirled it between his fingers. ‘’It’s beautiful. Looks more a deep burgundy and a deep mahogany than black, though.’’
You scoffed lightly. ‘’Trying to impress me with your artist vocabulary?’’
‘’Is it working?’’
‘’No.’’
The corner of his mouth curled.
He would never admit it out loud, but Xavier loved when you’re mean to him. Your blunt honesty and one-liners that knocked people off their pedestals was part of your personality and he found it endearing.
Xavier's phone alarm went off and his smile fell. He fished the device out of his pocket, then read the reminder with a disappointed face. ‘’I gotta go. I have a video appointment with my therapist in ten minutes.’’
You didn't want him to leave, but you couldn't hold him back.
‘’Okay. I'll see you later.’’
‘’Do you...want to walk with me to the dormitory?’’ Xavier asked, holding his breath as he waited for your answer.
You gave him a single nod and headed toward the right aisle of the Academy.
As you were walking, Xavier’s arm could brush yours from time to time. Each time it did, you felt spiders in your stomach. You could smell his cologne too. A mix of pine and something else you couldn't decipher.
‘’After Dr. Kinbott's death and everything that followed, my father was quick to find me a new therapist. An expensive one that would fix all of his son’s crazies in the most secrecy.’’ Xavier scoffed, shaking his head at his father's terrible parenting. ’’She’s been helping me deal with the aftermath of my arrest and put order into my thoughts. I thought my life would go back to how it was before I got arrested, but it didn’t. Although I was proven innocent, some still believe I murdered those people.’’
‘’Tyler was the monster—’’ you quickly said.
‘’I know.’’ He dropped his head, his next words quieter. ‘’But I guess it’s easier to believe an outcast did it than the sheriff’s ‘normie’ son...’’
This made your heart ache for Xavier. He may be obstinate and irrational at times, but he would never murder somebody. Especially not Rowan, who he used to call his roommate and friend. They had a fallout a little before his death, but nothing that would have pushed Xavier to kill him.
If you heard anyone say something bad about him, they better run or they'll know what you're capable of. The Addams were known to be crazy, but you preferred to say wildly devoted to the ones you love — whether it be a friend, a family member or a lover. There's nothing you wouldn't do to defend or protect the ones you cared about.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when you reached the boys' dormitory.
That walk was over way too soon.
‘’Xavier?’’ He shifted his green eyes down at you, your height difference more apparent when you were standing close. ‘’Before we part, there's something I need to tell you.’’
He drew his eyebrows, a wash of concern over his face. ‘’I’m listening.’’
‘’This summer has been revealing for me. I found in you a friend I didn't know I needed. I've always been a lonely person and I'm comfortable that way, but it's nice to have a friend. But as the days and weeks went by, I found myself looking forward to your every text and call and sometimes, I never wanted them to end,’’ you admitted transparently. ‘’It took me a while to figure out why I was feeling that way and why I always had spiders in my stomach every time someone mentioned your name. Xavier, I…I think I want us to be more than friends. I don’t know if that’s how I’m supposed to say it, but—’’
Just like in those horrifying normies rom-coms, Xavier crashed his lips on yours, interrupting you with a kiss.
You took a few seconds to react, not expecting him to do this, but then responded to his kiss, standing on your tiptoes and curling a hand behind his neck to pull him closer. Xavier’s lips moved over yours with extreme softness, kissing you the way he always wanted to.
You pulled back for air, finding yourself smiling when seeing a smudge of your lipstick on his face. It wasn’t that noticeable, but you liked that it was there. ‘’I've never been in love before, so I cannot promise you I'll be a perfect lover—’’
Xavier shook his head. ‘’I don't care. Perfect is boring anyway.’’ He held back a grin, pressing his forehead against yours. ''I prefer spooky and kooky.''

Absolutely forgot about your new event! Congrats on the five hundred follower count vod'ika! I may send in a few, but for this oneI'm going with my birth stone, clone husband, and fave season <3
May I have Garnet with Rex in summer, where maybe he spots reader (fem or gn!) looking extremely uncomfortable from unwanted attention (nothing inherentlyuncomfortble in terms of sexually harassing or being violent, but just highly intimidating) when it's dusk? And Rex shoos the person away?
Hero
Summary: Rex’s favorite part of the day is when he’s able to pull away from his work to spend time with his girl. He’s not so impressed, though, when he goes to find her and sees her getting threatened by someone nearly a foot taller than her.
Pairing: Captain Rex x F!Reader
Word Count: 658
Prompt: Garnet - Protective Love
Warnings: None

A/N: Thank you! I hope you like this story. Protective Love is hard while having a word count limit, lol, but I hope you like it anyway~
Tumblr media
This is his favorite part of the day.
His idiots, and he calls them that with all of the love in his heart, have been released to go and get drunk or whatever it is that they do with their free time. And he’s finally able to leave the barracks to go and meet up with his girl.
It’s hot and miserable outside, which means they’ll probably head back to her place to lounge by her pool.
For a moment, just a moment, Rex allows himself to fantasize about his stunning love clad in a blue bikini, while the setting sun paints her with golden highlights and makes her look like an actual goddess deserving of worship.
And then he shoves the thought to the back of his mind, and continues to their meeting spot.
His good mood remains, right up until he gets to the meeting spot and sees his cyare looking very uncomfortable with a man towering over her. She takes half a step back, and then man advances on her, to remain right in her personal space.
Rex scowls as he inserts himself into the situation. No one is allowed to make his cyare uncomfortable. “Sorry I’m late, cyare.” Rex says as he presses himself between his cyare and the stranger.
He feels her hand curl around his bicep, her touch light, “You’re not late, I showed up early.”
Rex lightly pats the hand wrapped around his arm, and he smiles slightly when she drops her hand. And then he focuses his attention on the stranger, who looks deeply, deeply annoyed that Rex interjected.
“Can we help you?” Rex’s voice is mild, but there’s a thread of durasteel and a hint of violence there as well. His cyare likely won’t pick up on it…but the stranger definitely does based on how he grimaces.
“Nah. I was just…” The stranger pauses, “It doesn’t matter.” He turns and stalks away. Rex doesn’t turn to his cyare, though, until he’s sure that no one is going to start anything.
And then he turns to his cyare, and all of the negative emotions he’d been feeling fade away as though they were never there.
“I’m sorry,” She says, as she steps into his space, sliding into his welcoming arms, “I didn’t mean for you to have to get involved.”
“Hey,” He rests his chin on her head, “It’s my genuine pleasure to be able to protect you, cyare.”
She hums softly, “You shouldn’t have to protect me. I should be safe here.”
“Well, until you are, you have me to be your sword and shield.”
A laugh falls from his cyare, “Oh, when did you become charming, Rex?” She asks as she pulls away to look up at him, fondness in her gaze.
Rex’s face heats, “Well…you know…Jesse-”
She laughs again, “You don’t have to change yourself for me, Rex. I love you just as you are. Awkwardness and all.” She takes his hand in hers, “Now, let’s go home. It’s hot.”
“We’re going swimming?” He asks, maybe more than a little hopeful.
She grins and nods, “I bought us matching swimsuits. They were on sale.”
“What kind of swimsuits?” Rex asks as he falls into step with her.
“For you?”
“For you.”
She giggles and and moves so she’s walking backwards in front of him, one finger coming out to lightly tap his nose, “It’s a secret~”
“That means it’s a bikini, right?” Rex asks, not even bothering to hide the direction his thoughts have gone.
“It means it’s a secret.” She leans in, “But I promise you’ll like it.”
“Cyar’ika. You could walk around in a burlap sack, and I’d still like it.” He pauses, “Or ribbons-”
“Really? Ribbons?”
He smiles innocently, “If you want.”
“I think you’ve been spending too much time with Fives and Jesse.”
“Yeah, but they give the best ideas.”
She shakes her head with a laugh, “Come on, Rex. Let’s go home.”

Flowers For You
pairing: Nanami x Reader
warnings: N/A this is all fluff!
synopsis: Nanami passes by your flower shop every day and finally decides to go in.
word count: 3k
a/n: Just a cute little Nanami flowershop AU because he deserves happiness 😊
Nanami passes by your flower shop every day on his way to work. It’s a quaint little store that carries a wide variety of plants and flowers. The first time he notices you he almost trips over the sidewalk. You were beautiful. He didn’t know why exactly, but he was captivated by you. For the next week he would always slow down when he was walking by the shop just so he could get a good look at you. One day, you looked back at him, making eye contact as he walked by and giving him a kind smile. He was so shocked that he didn’t even return it, he just whipped his head around and sped up, blushing at being caught. He mentally kicked himself for not smiling back. You probably thought he was just another corporate dickhead. That thought followed him for the rest of the day into the morning of the next.
It was probably where he found the courage to finally go into your shop.
He slowed down like he usually did upon approaching it, but instead of just walking by, he turned to go inside. You didn’t have any other customers at the moment, so it was just the two of you.
“Hi! Welcome in.” You gave him a warm smile. He was a handsome man and you saw him walk by the shop almost every day. His blond hair and angular features made him memorable and easy to spot.
“Hello, thank you.” Nanami responded, giving you a small smile in return.
“Feel free to take a look around and if you have questions or need help with anything just let me know.”
“Thank you. I will.”
Nanami roamed around the tiny shop, looking at all the beautiful flowers and plants. He really had no interest in anything, he had come in because he wanted an excuse to talk to you.
“Can you tell me about this flower?” He asked, pointing to a pot of flowers.
You walked over to see which one he was pointing to, “Oh yeah! These are chrysanthemums. They’re pretty easy to grow with their basic needs being full sun, rich soil, good drainage, and good air circulation. There are hundreds of varieties available in a range of shapes and sizes that can provide blooms from late summer through fall. They’re also perfect for containers and baskets because of their shallow-rooting habit!” You stopped yourself, blushing slightly. “Oh I’m sorry I got carried away, you probably didn’t want to know all of that.” You gave an awkward laugh as you scratched the back of your neck.
Nanami couldn’t help the smile that appeared on his face, it was adorable how enthusiastic you were, “No, no please don’t apologize. I appreciate the information; it was interesting to hear. Can you tell me about these ones?” And he pointed to the ones right next to them.
Your eyes lit up even more, “Oh these are my favorite flower! They’re called dahlias. The tubers are planted in late spring, and the flowers will bloom continuously from midsummer through fall. The flowers themselves can range in size from petite 2-inch lollipop-style pompoms to giant 15-inch “dinner plates.” Most varieties grow 4 to 5 feet tall. One of my favorite parts about them is that they come in a wide range of beautiful colors like dark pink, dark red, lavender, purple and black, bronze, the list goes on! They’re often multicolored too and oh gosh they’re just gorgeous.” You sigh dreamily, looking at the selection you have.
You were looking at the flowers, but Nanami was looking at you. He realized you were even more stunning up close. Your eyes were a beautiful brown, like the earth that gives life to everything planted in it. And your hair was curly. He hadn’t noticed it before because you wore your hair in a braid parted to the side, but up close he could see the ringlets stretched out in the braid and the way your wispy baby hairs that weren’t long enough to fit in the braid were curly and swaying in the air.
His thoughts were interrupted by your question, "Were there any others you wanted to know about or anything else I could help you with?”
Nanami was about to ask you about the next flower when he saw the clock in the distance, he was going to be late to work. A part of him wanted to say fuck it, he could listen to you talk all day. It would definitely beat going to work, but then he noticed another customer walk in and he didn’t want to steal your attention from them. However, after how much time you spent explaining things to him, he would have felt bad leaving empty handed.
“No that’s okay, but I think I’ll actually buy a bouquet with the dahlias and whatever filler flower you think is best.”
You beamed, “Oh what a great choice! I think they’d go beautifully with some baby's-breath and tulips.”
Nanami didn’t know what to do with the bouquet of flowers once he left the shop. He didn’t have anybody to give them to so when he showed up to work late, and with flowers, it was no surprise that he got some odd looks around the office. He didn’t have the heart to throw them away after you spent so much time making it, so when he got home he put them in the single vase he had. It was a beautiful bouquet, and every time he looked at it he couldn’t help but think about you and smile.
The next day when he was on his way to work, he glanced like he usually did in the shop, but you were talking to a customer so he decided not to bother you.
The day after that, though, he left his house a little bit earlier than he normally did and was rewarded when he saw you in the shop alone, pruning some flowers.
“Hi again.” He said and gave a little wave.
You smiled that same warm smile, “Hi! Welcome back. How are the flowers holding up?”
“They’re beautiful. You must take care of them really well here because they still look as beautiful as they did the day I bought them, and I don’t have much of a green thumb.”
You chuckled, “Oh it’s not too difficult to keep them looking healthy. Just change the water regularly, make sure they get some sun, and mix in some plant food and voila! Your bouquet should last at least a week.”
“You make it sound so easy but I’m sure it’s a lot more difficult running a whole shop of flowers, no?”
“Mm it can be time-consuming but I enjoy it.” You give a small smile, looking at all the flowers blooming and healthy in your shop. “It feels nice to put effort into something and watch it flourish and be beautiful. And it’s even better when it’s something everyone can enjoy. I mean, who doesn’t like flowers? There’s so many different ones you’re bound to find at least one that you like.” As you turn back to the man you notice how he’s gazing at you and you can’t help but give a little laugh and look away, a blush beginning to paint your cheeks.
Nanami immediately clears his throat, sporting a blush that mirrors yours, “I see. I think that’s amazing you found something you’re so passionate about. Especially something that brings more beauty into the world.”
You laugh, “Yeah...but I’m sure you didn’t come here just to hear me talk. Is there anything you need?”
Truth be told, that was exactly why Nanami came here, but he couldn’t very well just say that, so instead he asked for more plant food.
After paying, you both said your goodbyes, and you watched the handsome man leave the shop, wondering what his name was.
Nanami went into the shop again on Monday, getting there early so he had time to ask you about different flowers before leaving with a bouquet of the ones you talked about.
For the next two weeks, Nanami would stop by your shop almost every day. He was buying bouquets of flowers almost twice a week, and when he wasn’t doing that then he was buying vases or plant food or whatever else he could think of.
As he walked out this time, a bouquet of roses and lilies in hand, you couldn’t help but wonder who he was buying flowers for so often. He was clearly a well-off man given the pristine, fitted suits he always wore, and he was polite and respectful. That, topped off with his looks, and he was a catch anybody would be lucky to have. You sighed, if only you could get a man like that to show some interest in you.
The next day, Nanami came in again like clockwork. You enjoyed seeing him and started to look forward to those mornings where he would come in so you could talk to him.
“Hey! How are you?” You asked. Would it be improper to ask him his name? He did come in almost every day.
Nanami smiled at you, “I’m good. How are you?”
“I’m good! Nothing to complain about. What can I do for you today?” You asked.
“Ah,” Nanami looked around the shop, “I’m running out of plant food.” He said.
“Oh, really? The bottle I gave you should have lasted you at least a month but I can definitely give you more! Just make sure to follow the instructions so you’re not using too much.” You say as you grab a bottle for him.
“Right. I’ll keep that in mind.” He replied.
After you rang him up, he stood there for a second, as if he was contemplating something. In his hesitation you decided to ask him his name, it wasn’t that weird, right? I mean, he came in almost every day.
“He-”
“What’s-”
You both opened your mouths to speak at the same time and both promptly closed them, eyes widening as you realized you almost cut the other person off.
You were the first to recover, “I’m so sorry. What were you going to say?”
Nanami shook his head at your apology, “No no, it’s my fault. I apologize. Please.”
Your cheeks flamed as you thought about how you were going to ask his name and you were glad you didn’t. What if he thought it was inappropriate and never came in again? Or left a review about how you were rude? You couldn’t risk that, “No please it wasn’t important. Did you have a question?”
Nanami looked at you and cleared his throat, “I was going to ask you for your name. I come in pretty often but I don’t even know your name.” You couldn’t help but notice the red tinge his cheeks started to take on, matching your own as you realized you both were about to ask for each other’s name.
You laughed, “I was going to ask you the same thing! That’s funny. My name is y/n. What’s yours?”
He smiled back at you, “That’s a beautiful name. Mine is Kento Nanami.”
“Thank you Mr. Nanami, it’s nice to finally put a name to my best customer.” You grinned.
Kento laughed, “Please, you can just call me Kento.”
You blushed an even deeper red, and your voice was softer this time, “Well okay Kento, it’s nice to finally have a proper introduction.”
He smiled, his own blush growing, “Likewise, y/n. I have to go to work, but thank you for the plant food.”
“Of course.” You smiled and waved him out. You sighed dreamily, Kento. What you wouldn’t give to have a man like that on your arm.
Over the next two weeks Nanami continued to come in. Each visit you learned a little bit more about each other and got a bit more comfortable chatting. On Monday, you learned he worked on the stock market, which explained why he seemed so wealthy and was always dressed so well. On Tuesday, you learned he lived not too far away, and just walked to work each day. You also learned that he generally worked really late; you typically closed up shop by 7pm and he usually didn’t leave work until 8pm or later.
You didn’t see him on Wednesday, but when he came on Thursday, you learned that he was a quarter Danish from his grandfather and that you both liked the same coffee shop. On Friday you learned his favorite hobbies included reading and cooking. The next Monday, you exchanged recipes and book recommendations. Tuesday he was running late and couldn’t stop for a chat but did give you a wave, and Wednesday he came in with a coffee for you from the coffee shop you mentioned the week prior.
On Thursday, Nanami came in again to buy another bouquet of flowers. You talked like you usually did. This time learning that he went to a private high school called jujutsu high. You exchanged laughs and stories as you created the bouquet. This was your favorite one yet; it had dahlias, roses, lilies, and waxflowers, “This bouquet is so gorgeous. I think it’s my favorite one to date. Whoever is getting all these bouquets you buy, especially this one, is a very lucky person.”
At your statement, Nanami’s eyes widened. It hadn’t even occurred to him that you may assume he was seeing someone else with all the flowers he was buying.
“Oh, I don’t buy them for anyone else. I don’t have anyone to buy them for.”
You had to fight to keep your jaw from hitting the floor. This man was single?! You almost couldn't believe it. Kento was the man of your dreams, he had to have women fawning over him. Was he just not looking for a relationship right now? Maybe that was it, he seemed like he was in his mid to late 20s, so maybe he was still trying to just enjoy his life. But then, it wasn’t too common to hear of a successful playboy with a house full of flowers that he bought all for himself.
He cleared his throat, “I mean, if I had someone then I would buy them flowers, but I enjoy coming in here and the bouquets you make are beautiful and you seem knowledgeable about what you’re doing and...”
You realized that even though you kept your jaw from falling off you probably didn’t conceal your expression that well and were staring at Nanami with wide eyes. Oh god, he probably thought you were judging him and that’s why he started rambling: to fill the awkward silence.
“No! No, I’m sorry for assuming it’s....I’m flattered you come in here and enjoy the bouquets I put together. And I enjoy getting to talk about the different plants and you’re a good listener.” You smile at him, hoping he doesn’t feel like you were judging him.
He visibly relaxes, “No it’s okay...Although, I wonder...does your significant other ever get you flowers even though you run a flower shop?” He tried to sound nonchalant as he asked the question, looking out at the flowers on display.
You blushed, “I don’t have a significant other, so unfortunately nobody is gifting me flowers but, even though I run a flower shop I don’t think I could ever be upset about receiving more.”
Nanami whipped his head around at you and looked you in the eyes. He felt like it was now or never.
Nanami held the bouquet you had just given him back out to you, “I think it’s a shame you’re not being gifted flowers by anyone, and if you’ll accept them, I’d like to give you these ones.”
Your eyes widened in shock and your blush grew even deeper, “Oh but Kento you just paid for those! I can’t take your flowers, you should take them home and enjoy them.”
Nanami didn’t waver, “Y/n, I don’t come in here every day because of the flowers. They are very pretty, don’t get me wrong, but I think they pale in comparison to you. You could create a bouquet out of any combination of flowers in this shop and it wouldn’t take my breath away like you do when you talk about them. The highlight of my day is coming in here in the morning to see you. So, if you’ll accept, I’d like to give you this bouquet and take you to dinner tonight.”
You weren’t able to stop your jaw from hitting the floor this time. This man spent hundreds of dollars in your shop just to talk to you? You couldn’t believe it. It almost seemed too good to be true. From all your conversations, he seemed relatively normal and he was easy to talk to. The conversation always came naturally and neither of you ever wanted to end it. He was usually rushing out the door because he always stayed longer than he should have.
You had never expected someone like Kento Nanami to give you flowers, let alone ask you out on a date. It made you smile, thinking about what he said.
“Okay Kento,” You took the bouquet from him, “I will accept these flowers and dinner tonight. What time?”
Nanami smiled, his shoulders relaxing, “I know you close up at 7, so why don’t I swing back here at that time? I know a really good Italian restaurant we can go to.”
“Oh but I won’t have time to change! I’d like to get dressed up at least a little bit. Can we do 8pm instead? I can close up a bit early.”
“If that’s what you’d like to do then I can meet you at 8pm. But, at the risk of sounding cliche, I think you’re gorgeous just as you are.”
You blushed again, “That was definitely cliche Kento but I appreciate the compliment. I’ll meet you here at 8pm. I look forward to it.” You smiled at him.
He smiled back at you and glanced at the clock, shit he’d have to hurry or he’d be late. Again.
“I’ll see you tonight, y/n.” And he waved at you as he rushed out the door.
You sighed dreamily, smiling to yourself as you smelled the bouquet of flowers. What a man.

fluff!! ; hoon being hoon ; a creepy man appears but nothing serious happens ; sign a petition for yn and hoon to say OUT LOUD what they think
Tumblr media
Since you had to catch the bus at 5.30 am to visit your family, you did get up at 4.55 am as planned. Your mother's birthday fell on the day you moved away from your hometown two months ago, so you decided to surprise her.
You were lucky to discover a low bus ticket that would have taken you there in just five hours. Everything was unplanned; you bought it the day before and quickly packed your things into a small but comfortable rucksack.
It was 5.10 am, and you were leaving the house. Your apartment was only 10 mins by foot to the bus station, so you did not rush. There was none around except for an old lady walking on the opposite side of the road and a few cars. Some birds were already awake, and the sun was rising, it was when almost everyone was still asleep or slowly people were getting up to start their day. A new day was about to start for everyone, your heart was light, and you were happy.
You were lost in your thoughts that you did not realize that you stopped yourself while looking at the clouds in the sky. You come back to the world only when a boy runner next to you screaming: "HE'S GONNA KILL ME IF I MISS THIS BUS TOOOO"
You did not even check the time; you started to run too. Because actually, your "natural clock" understood that you were late.
Indeed, when you arrived at the station, you looked at your phone which showed 5.33 am.
You missed your bus...and you could not even say it to anyone, because it was a surprise. Discouraged, you went to the ticket office to see if to buy a ticket for the next bus that would be passing in just an hour.
It was summer, so the natural light was already there, but still a bit of fear there was because you were alone, but it was replaced by laughter when you saw the boy, who had run earlier near to you, on his knees in front of the man in the ticket office begging him to find him a bus that would arrive there before an hour.
He was so funny while literally kneeling for a bus ticket at 5.35am. The man looked so annoyed, but after a good five minutes, his prayers worked.
Indeed there was a special bus - the number 5 - that only for that day was active, and that would arrive in 33 minutes.
You never thought you could see someone's mood change so quickly; he would have hugged the man if there was no glass separating them. Happier than ever, the boy buys his ticket and turns to go to wait for the bus. That's when he notices you and guesses - from your amused expression - that you had seen the scene.
After a quick nod and a thinly veiled smile, he walks past you and goes to wait for the bus.
It was thanks to him that you found out about bus number 5, which was also perfect for you. So you immediately bought your ticket and went to wait patiently for the bus.
As you expected, you met the boy there again. He was seated on the only bench there, where you would soon be joining him.
You greeted each other with a simple smile and head nod; by this point, you were companion victims of misfortune on that summer morning.
So you sat, put your earphones on, and waited while looking around and letting your thoughts run free.
You could tell that he kinda did the same because after 15 mins you felt something - or better, someone - graving on your shoulder.
Yes, the bus would arrive in 33 minutes at 6:08 a.m., but the funny boy only after 15 mins of waiting falls on your shoulder.
You were a bit hesitant to wake him up because he looked so peaceful while sleeping.
He had closed eyes and a steady breathing pattern, and his lips and his cheeks were flushed pink. His dark black hair and eyebrows created a contrast with his pale skin and total-white outfit.
A mole on his note distinguished him, and knowing the legend of moles - it says they are said to be the place where, in another life, your soulmate loved to kiss you - you smiled.  When you had to gently touch him to wake him awake because the bus had arrived, you blushed a little more.
Oh yes, 18 minutes passed after he had dozed off on your shoulder...
You quickly got on the bus after waking him up, and he immediately boarded behind you after mumbling an awkward thank you.
The bus was so full of men at that hour, and most of them seemed to be surprised by your arrival.
You did not feel comfortable at all, but you decided to ignore everyone turning up the volume of your music and sitting in the only empty place. Luckily none was sitting next to you, you were safe you thought.
However, you started to feel truly scared when you noticed a man, who must have been in his 50s, standing up and walking toward you.
As fate would have it, the clumsy boy, your company of misfortune also saw, and he immediately sat down in the seat next to yours. At that moment your music stopped, and you heart lost a few beats.
"Not gonna lie, that man creeped me out too. Hope it is okay if I sat next to you; I would never leave a pretty girl alone with someone like him" he whispered while still looking at that man with dead eyes.
Your eyes brightened in response to his words, and you thanked him.
"Young boy leave that seat and let me sit next to the beautiful girl." Just hearing those words was enough to send shivers down your spine.
Instinctively, you reached for the boy's shirt hoping he would not leave you with that old man.
He wasn't going to let go, on the contrary, he said:
"She's my girlfriend, you'd better stop bothering her."
Your heart began to beat faster and faster, adrenaline and anxiety were invading your heart, and you felt helpless.
"Oh sure. I bet you just met her. Why such a beautiful girl should be with someone like you. Hmm? What do you say?" the man asked, turning to you.
He was about to answer back but you anticipated him by saying.
"You better shut up before I call the police. Leave me and my boyfriend alone.. and I don't need me to explain to you idiot why I am dating this handsome boy."
Now is the boy's heart that was beating fast.
"The bus is moving. A message to the man who is bothering the girl. You had better sit down before you falls and the police have to meet you at the hospital instead of the next stop"
The driver's voice was heard everywhere, and the timing almost scared you.
Someone had also called the police, and the man would have been reported soon.
Even though you were safe at this point, your heart continued to race since so much had happened so quickly.
You eventually turned to look at the boy who helped you after the grumbling man had moved away from you.
"Thank you so so much. You saved me," you said, but he was not looking at you-
He was glancing down at the bottoms of his shoes while his hands were covering his face.
"Is everything alright? Are you okay?" you asked worried.
And he finally turned to you almost screaming
"SO WAIT DO YOU REALLY THINK I AM HANDSOME?"
But he quickly tried to ignore your confused expression as he attempted to regain his calm and added, "It's nothing; I acted on instinct. I couldn't bear that creepy man would sit next to you. Hope you are okay now"
He wanted to finish his sentence with "pretty girl" because he truly meant it. Although it could have worried you, he chose not to.
Even though you too really meant what you had said - that he was a beautiful guy - you preferred to ignore his question too.
"I'm fine thanks, and nice to meet my name is Y/n."
"Park Sunghoon. My name is Park Sunghoon, nice to meet you"
"Well Park Sunghoon if you also have to get off at the last stop, I guess we have a long journey ahead of us,"
"Yes y/n, but I think that by staying right next to you, the time will pass more quickly," he replied without thinking.
You nodded in agreement as you internally chuckled at the sound of your name coming out of his mouth.
He was very kind and easy to talk to since you discovered that you had a lot of things in common - for example he too was going to the surprise party of a friend of his in the same city as you.
While talking you find out that you enjoy the same singers and songs, and that is how you ended up sharing your earphones while your playlist was playing.
Sunghoon however, fell asleep off again and let his head fall forward when the softer section of your songs began to play.
Oh, and the reason you gently shifted his head to your shoulder was for no other reason than to make him more comfortable…right?

Terzo (Papa Emeritus III) x GN Reader
summary: ”Tonight is all about you."
content: 1k words, romance, fluff, SFW
I realized that I haven’t written much about Terzo so I had to fix that. Something relaxing and sweet; hope you like this. 😊
Tumblr media
You were standing before the door that led to a private quarter only a few had an access at the abbey. It had its perks when you happened to be in a relationship with one of the Papas. You opened the door, stepping inside, excitement bubbling within you.
The room was lit by several candles – they were basically everywhere and you couldn't help but smile how extra it seemed to be. And romantic, too, of course. You noticed small bouquets of flowers on nightstands and a table, rose petals scattered along the floor, forming a path to the bed and bathroom. You smiled widely, warmth spreading in your chest.
Soft, pleasant scent filled your nose and you breathed slowly in – it was like a mix of autumn and summer. Then your eyes settled on Terzo who was laying on the bed, completely free of face paints, wearing only a thin, white loose button-up shirt, but it wasn't buttoned up, his bare chest on full display. The shirt was paired with black, seemingly loose fitting pants.
"Hey, amore," he said softly, a small smirk on his lips. "You look gorgeous."
You let out a quiet chuckle, walking over to Terzo. He didn't waste time as he took a hold of your waist and pulled you down, guiding you to lay on your back and capturing your lips in a kiss. Your hands instinctively found their way to Terzo's neck and back of his head, fingers threading through his hair as your lips lazily brushed against one another.
When Terzo gently nibbled your bottom lip with his teeth, you couldn't help but smile.
"Such a tease," you mumbled and Terzo hummed, moving then to pepper kisses along your cheeks.
"You love it," he whispered against your skin and you made a face as his breath tickled you.
"Why did you do all of this?" you then asked and Terzo pulled a bit back so that he could look at you. The look in his eyes was soft, full of love, a hint of concern thrown into the mix.
"I wanted to offer you some relaxation. You've been working so much lately and I know you're exhausted."
You let out a long sigh, sliding your hands down to cup Terzo's face, taking in all the details, already so familiar to you.
"You didn't have to."
"No, but I wanted to. Tonight is all about you," Terzo spoke softly.
"So I get to decide what we do?" you asked and Terzo nodded.
"What if I just wanted to sleep?"
Terzo grinned at you. "Then we sleep. Or you can do that at least, I can just lay here and watch you."
You gently poked Terzo's nose, grinning.
"That's creepy."
"No, I don't think so," Terzo said, bringing his face closer to yours.
You smiled, gaze flickering to Terzo's lips before you closed the small gap and kissed him. It was hard to resist him, in so many ways. Kissing him, touching him, just being close to him was everything.
"I would love a hot bath right now," you said after you parted for breath. Smiling Terzo moved, stood up from the bed and offered you his hand. You took it and he pulled you up, leading you to bathroom.
It was also lit by candles and a bathtub was already prepared, rose petals floating on the water. You could feel your eyes getting a bit moist, the exhaustion in your body acting up. And maybe you were a bit moved by how Terzo always seemed to know what you needed.
"You're getting in with me," you stated as you started to remove your clothes. Terzo smiled at you, letting the shirt slide off of him. As soon as you both were naked, you motioned Terzo to go first and waited until he was settled before climbing carefully in. You sat in front of him, leaning your back against his chest and letting your head fall back to rest on his shoulder.
The warm water and the heat of Terzo's body felt amazing and you closed your eyes, letting out a long, content sigh. Terzo placed a kiss on your cheek and wrapped his arms around you, silence falling between you comfortably, relaxing. You could feel the tension slowly leaving your body and it was nearly euphoric.
Terzo peppered your skin with little kisses every once in a while and you smiled, enjoying this luxury. Oh, how you wished you could have more moments like this. Terzo would surely arrange that if you asked.
"Thank you," you mumbled, opening your eyes and turning your head so you could press a light kiss on Terzo's cheek, close to his jawline.
"Only the best for you, amore," Terzo said softly, capturing then your lips in a proper kiss. You hummed happily into it, loving how it wasn't rushed. It would have been easy to take the situation further but right now you felt that this, closeness and kissing, was enough. If you were honest, you were tired and the thought of burying yourself under the blankets was highly tempting.
Terzo broke the kiss eventually, his gaze scanning your face and you smiled at him.
"You're so tired," he spoke. "Do you want to go to bed?"
"Yes," you said, maybe too eagerly, earning a chuckle from Terzo.
You both left the bathtub, dried yourselves with towels and didn't bother to put on any clothes. Shared body heat together with blankets would surely be enough. As soon as you reached the bed, you climbed onto it, laying down and watching as Terzo went to extinguish the candles. However, it was hard to fight against the sleep and you were already dozing off when Terzo finally accompanied you. You settled into a spooning position – you being the little spoon, of course – and Terzo pulled the blankets on top of you both. He nuzzled your neck, breath tickling your skin and you searched for his hand, intertwining your fingers.
The last thing your tired mind registered was Terzo's soft voice close to your ear.
"Sweet dreams, tesoro."

the easy silence that you make for me
Tumblr media
pairing: reader x ben chilwell summary: you’ve been struggling with anxiety due to stress at work recently, and you refuse to let ben see it until he flies you out to mykonos for the weekend and you can’t keep it in anymore (fluff + light angst) warnings: mentions of an anxiety attack word count: 5k
author’s note: thanks to the anon who requested this, it was nice to write something quick (which ended up being 5k lmao) before embarking on my next ben multi-chap! if anyone has any more concept/one-shot requests for ben in the meantime feel free to send them my way 🥰
-
After an exhausting season for Chelsea and a particularly difficult one for Ben with his second major injury in two years and missing the World Cup, you know badly he’s in need of a holiday.
When he tells you of his travel plans with the boys for the beginning of summer, a part of you feels relieved that he’s going to finally get the chance to unwind with his mates and leave the past year behind him.
Another part of you, though, is dreading him being away.
You haven’t wanted to bother Ben with it, as he’s had enough of his own stuff going on, but work has been kicking your arse lately. You got promoted recently and although it seemed great at first, it’s more responsibility than you anticipated and much more stress.
The only solace you’ve found during this time has been in Ben. Although you haven’t let him see how much you’re struggling, just his presence is incredibly comforting to you. To come home after a long, terrible day and find him standing in the kitchen making you dinner in his underwear, a bright smile on his face when he sees you, is all the remedy you need.
The moment he leaves for Spain, you feel your mental health start to decline. You know you can’t be with him all the time, and you’ve certainly dealt with separations before when he was away on international break, but this is by far the hardest one yet.
Ben texts you constantly throughout the trip, updating you on the fun he’s having with the boys at the F1 and telling you how much he wishes you were there with him. Obviously, you can’t take weeks off to follow him around Europe, as much as you wish you could.
You struggle more and more as the first two weeks of his time away comes to an end. The days are long, as you work yourself to the bone and come home completely exhausted, but the nights are even harder as you find it increasingly difficult to fall asleep without Ben next to you.
One night, when you know for a fact that Ben is chilling with the boys at the house they’ve rented in Mykonos as you’re tossing and turning in bed, you admit defeat and reach for your phone to text him. It’s a couple hours later there, but they’re probably still up.
You Hey, are you still awake? x
Ben ❤️ Yeah, what’s up baby? Everything ok?
You Just having trouble sleeping
Your phone starts ringing within seconds, and you accept Ben’s call right away.
“Hi,” you mumble quietly into the phone, sitting up a bit in bed.
“Are you alright, love?” Ben asks you, his voice full of concern.
“I’m fine,” you say quickly, snuggling into the pillow that still smells a bit like him. “I just miss you.”
It’s not the entire truth, but you know it’s all you can say to him without him booking a flight home to you this instant and abandoning his holiday, so you leave it at that.
“Oh, babe, I miss you too,” Ben sighs. “One more week, yeah?”
“Yeah,” you agree halfheartedly, though that feels like centuries right now.
“Are you really okay?” Ben asks worriedly. “Because I can come home-“
“No way, Ben,” you cut him off. “You’re not coming home early for me, I won’t allow it.”
“But-“
“I’m fine, I swear,” you lie. “I just needed to hear your voice for a bit.”
That part is true - Ben’s soft, soothing voice is like music to your ears, making you feel more relaxed already.
There are muffled voices on the other end for a moment, and then Ben speaks again.
“Why don’t you fly out after work tomorrow and spend the weekend here?”
Although the thought of being in Ben’s arms less than 24 hours from now is incredibly appealing, you can’t help but feel hesitant.
For one thing, you don’t want to spend the money on a last-minute flight, and though you know Ben will offer to pay for it, you don’t like how much money he spends on you as it is.
You also feel a bit weird crashing his boys trip, knowing that none of the other guys’ girlfriends are there at the moment and you would be the only one.
When you voice these concerns to Ben, however, he won’t hear it.
“Babe, don’t be silly, we’d love to have you. I just asked the boys and they all agreed,” he insists. “And I’m getting you a flight right now-“
“Ben, I-“
“Look, I miss you like crazy too, so it’s more of a gift for me than anything else,” he tells you. “We’ll just have a nice relaxing weekend and you’ll be back at work for Monday. Please, Y/N?”
You pause for a moment, but you know you’re incapable of saying no to him, especially when you miss him this badly and are struggling so much.
“Alright, I’ll come,” you say with a small smile.
“Yes! I can’t wait to see you,” Ben responds, and you can hear his grin through the phone. “I’ll send you the flight details and pick you up at the airport when you get here. Just try to get some sleep now, okay?”
The thought of being able to fall asleep in his arms tomorrow is just enough to be able to lull you to rest tonight, so after exchanging “I love you”s you bid him goodnight and close your eyes.
-
The next day, your anxiety persists as you hurry to finish up your work responsibilities so that you can make your flight on time.
Unfortunately, a last-minute emergency (which there seem to be a lot of these days) at the office means that you have to scramble to get out of there on time to get home, pack, and make your way to the airport.
Your stress dissipates a bit as you settle in for the flight, enjoying the comfy first class seat Ben got you and a couple glasses of champagne. Most importantly, you remind yourself that you’ll soon be by Ben’s side and everything will be right in your world again.
By the time you land on Mykonos, you’re already feeling a bit better, but it’s nothing compared to when you see your boyfriend for the first time in two weeks.
He’s standing in the arrivals area, wearing a simple black t-shirt and shorts with his blue Nikes. He’s slightly tan, his hair is a bit tousled, and he looks more relaxed than you’ve seen him all year. He also looks incredibly attractive to you right now (even more so than usual) which could be his whole holiday vibe or the fact that you haven’t seen him in weeks - or both.
The moment he sees you, his bright blue-green eyes that rival the colour of the sea you just flew over light up and his face stretches into a smile.
He jogs over to you with open arms and you meet him halfway, dropping your bag to throw your arms around him and hug him tightly.
“Hey, gorgeous,” Ben mumbles into your hair as he hugs you just as close, briefly lifting your feet off the ground. “God, I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” you sigh into his neck, pressing a few quick kisses there. “So much, Ben.”
You could almost cry from the relief of being held by him, his hand rubbing circles on your lower back and the scent of his aftershave as you breathe him in making your worries melt away.
When Ben tries to pull back a bit and you reflexively cling to him tighter, not ready to let him go, he just tightens his grip on you and presses a kiss to your temple.
“Is everything okay, love?” he whispers near your ear, sending a shiver down your spine.
Of course, after a couple of years together, Ben is able to read you pretty easily. Between your phone call last night and the way you’re clinging to him like a lifeline right now, it’s fairly obvious that something is up with you.
“Yeah, I’m good,” you say to him, grateful your face is still buried in his neck so he can’t tell you’re lying.
You aren’t all good, but you are better than you’ve been since he left, and you aren’t going to waste your weekend together before another week and a half apart. There’s still a pit of anxiety in your stomach, but you’re determined to not let that ruin your time with him or his holiday.
To prove your point, you pull back from him and take his face in your hands, admiring him for a moment before pulling him in for a long kiss.
He sighs into your mouth and grips your waist tighter as you kiss him, both of you wanting it to escalate more than you reasonably can in the middle of an airport.
When you pull away, resting your forehead against his for a moment, you think the kiss may have erased Ben’s previous concern from his mind, but no such luck.
“You promise you’re alright?” Ben murmurs, cupping your face and brushing your cheek with his thumb. “I was worried about you last night.”
Your heart swells with affection for a moment at his gentle concern, but then you remember this is the last thing you want - Ben should be relaxing, not worrying about you.
“I promise, babe,” you say with another gentle peck to his lips. “I was just missing you, but I’m good now. Perfect, actually.”
Ben nods, though he still looks slightly unconvinced. He does drop the subject though, at least for now.
Grabbing your bag in one hand and your hand in the other, Ben leads you out of the airport to the car that’s waiting to take you back to the house.
You can tell how much lighter he seems than the last time you saw him, telling you excitedly about everything he and the boys have been getting up to and how nice it’s been.
When you arrive at the beautiful house with an infinity pool overlooking the sea, you’re greeted with enthusiasm by all of Ben’s mates. They’re always nice to you, and have been since you first met them at the beginning of the relationship, but you wonder if Ben told them to be extra nice or something - Harvey has you in a tight hug and Anish is offering you a cocktail before you’re even through the door.
You all settle into the patio furniture out back with some drinks and dinner that the guys made, enjoying some music and the gorgeous sunset over the water. It takes you a bit of time to ease into the relaxation after being so tense for weeks, but it’s hard not to feel at total peace when you’re in such a beautiful place surrounded by people you love.
You’re curled up on the sofa with Ben, your legs draped over his lap and your hands intertwined, when the idea of going to a club is suggested.
While all the others are in agreement, Ben turns to you and murmurs quietly in your ear.
“Totally up to you, babe,” he says. “I’d be just as happy to stay here with you and watch a film or something.”
As appealing as it sounds to stay in alone with Ben, all the boys seem to be buzzing to go out and you don’t want to put a damper on things by insisting he stay here with you.
“No, let’s go,” you say with a small smile, trying to encourage yourself as well. “It’ll be fun, yeah?”
“Yeah,” Ben grins, leaning in to kiss you.
You quickly get ready while Ben takes a quick shower, grateful that you remembered to bring one outfit suitable for going out, a simple light blue dress with matching heels.
You’re just doing up the straps on your shoes, sitting on the bed, when Ben walks out of the bathroom with just a towel around his waist. You take a moment to admire your boyfriend, your eyes raking over his defined muscles.
“You look incredible,” Ben says, walking in your direction with a smile on his face.
“You look pretty good right now, too,” you tease, very obviously checking him out.
“Oh yeah?” Ben smirks, coming closer and bending down to kiss you.
“Mhm,” you mumble against his lips, hands resting on his bare shoulders as you anchor yourself to him, pulling him in for another deep kiss.
You’re interrupted by the sound of someone knocking, immediately followed by Tom’s voice on the other side of the door.
“I’ve ordered the Uber, hurry up you two!”
Ben groans and reluctantly pulls away from you with one more quick kiss.
“To be continued,” he says emphatically as he goes to get dressed.
“Definitely,” you chuckle, already looking forward to getting lost in him the moment you get back tonight.
Within ten minutes, you’re all out the door and on the way to the club. It’s a big, glamorous beachfront club that’s already packed with hundreds of people by the time you arrive. Clubbing was never really your thing, but you’ve found that the ones Ben and his friends go to - on the higher end, with decent music and comfy booths - are generally pretty fun.
Harvey gives your names at the door and soon you’re immersed in the party, Ben’s arm wrapped protectively around your waist as you navigate the room to get to the VIP section.
The first hour or so you’re there is mostly nice, enjoying the feeling of being pressed up against Ben’s side as you sip on overpriced champagne and enjoy the music. You have fun chatting and catching up with all the boys about their various work endeavours and the girls they’re seeing.
You try to suppress thoughts of work and all the stress that is waiting for you when you return to reality on Monday, and you’re mostly successful.
Until you make the mistake of checking your phone in the bathroom and see a million work-related emails that have piled up since you last looked.
You know everything can wait til after your little weekend getaway is over, but the thought of facing another week of hell without Ben home to calm your nerves is enough to make you begin to spiral. You’re already at your stress limit, and you’re not sure how much more you can take before you hit your breaking point.
Suddenly feeling a need to get back to your group - specifically to Ben - you rush out of the washroom.
The bright strobe lights and the loud music, compounded with the way your mind is already racing makes it hard to breathe. You’re completely disoriented as you look around the room, trying to remember where you’re going as you navigate the sea of people.
All the negative thoughts swimming around in your brain and the stress are heightening your senses, and you nearly lose your footing, having to grab onto a railing for stability.
“Y/N? What are you - are you alright?”
You’re calmed slightly by the familiar voice, managing to look up and meet eyes with Tom in the midst of your impending panic attack. He looks confused and a bit worried, obviously not understanding what’s wrong with you. You don’t really know what’s wrong with you in the moment either, just that you can’t breathe properly and you need Ben.
“Did something happen?” Tom asks again, still frantic.
“I-I can’t-“ you try to say, grabbing Tom’s arm for stability as you once again begin to falter. “Can you-I need-“
Tom says something quickly to Harvey, who you hadn’t even realized was there until just now. A moment later, Harvey is gone, and Tom is gently grabbing your shoulders and leading you away from the music and the crowd.
You don’t notice that he’s taking you outside until you feel the slightly cool air hit you, providing you with some relief and making it somewhat easier to breathe.
Tom leads you to a nearby bench and helps you sit down, and though he’s rubbing your back and trying to talk to you comfortingly, you don’t really register it.
“I need-can you get Ben?” you ask him once you’re able to get a few more words out, and Tom nods immediately.
“He’s coming, don’t worry,” he assures you. “Just try to breathe, he’ll be right here.”
You nod, shutting your eyes tightly to fight back the tears and trying to breathe as well as you can.
As promised, within a few moments you feel a pair of warm hands on yours and you open your eyes to see Ben kneeling in front of you, looking up at you with wide and terrified eyes.
“What’s wrong, love?” he asks you, looking from you to Tom, who is able to offer no explanation. “Are you hurt? Did someone-“
“No, no,” you manage to choke out, wanting to quell his fears before his mind can run too far. “I just-I was trying to find you and I couldn’t-there were so many people and I just-“
You know he still doesn’t fully understand what’s wrong, as you’ve never struggled much with crowds of people before. You’ve been to loads of parties and events together, you’ve supported him in stadiums of thousands of people, and it’s never been an issue. Nevertheless, when you begin to cry more freely, your body continuing to tremble, he quickly moves into the spot Tom has vacated for him and pulls you into his arms.
“Hey, sweetheart, it’s alright,” he murmurs into your hair as he holds you tightly, pulling you closer until you’re basically in his lap. “You found me, I’m here now. I’ve got you.”
You bury your face in his chest, your tears staining his white t-shirt as you cry. Although you can feel the panic in your chest lessening with every second in Ben’s presence, the full weight of all the stress and emotions of the last few months hits you like a freight train.
Ben continues to murmur soothing words to you, stroking your hair with one hand and rubbing your back with the other as your sobs gradually wane.
You manage to get your breathing under control, soaking up the comfort of his touch and the gentle words he’s whispering in your ear.
Eventually, you pull back from him, wiping your mascara-streaked cheeks. Ben is still looking at you with immense concern, one of his hands coming up to cup your cheek.
“Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it?”
You nod your head, grabbing his other hand and squeezing it tightly. You know you need to open up to him. This breakdown is proof that you can’t keep holding it in anymore.
“Okay, I’ll call an Uber,” he says with a quick kiss to your forehead.
“Actually, can we wait a few minutes? Maybe take a walk?” you ask. “I think I just need a bit more fresh air before getting in the car.”
“Of course, babe, let me just tell the boys-“
Before Ben can finish the thought, your friends reappear, having given you some privacy so Ben could comfort you. With a gentle smile, Harvey passes you a glass of water, which you gratefully take.
“You feeling better, Y/N?” Anish asks.
“Yeah, thanks, just got a bit overwhelmed in there,” you say, sipping the cold water. “Sorry, guys, didn’t mean to ruin the night like this.”
“Don’t be silly, you haven’t,” Tom insists. “We were just worried about you.”
You nod appreciatively, laying your head on Ben’s shoulder for a moment as you continue to come down from the panic attack, his thumb rubbing gentle circles on your bare knee.
“You want me to call a car, Chilly?”
“Nah, thanks, mate,” Ben says. “We’re just gonna go for a walk and cool down a bit, you guys go on inside and we’ll see you back at the house.”
“Alright,” Harvey smiles, squeezing your shoulder gently. “Glad you’re okay. See you later.”
The boys all bid you goodbye and go back into the club, leaving you and Ben alone once more. He carefully helps you to your feet, and you lean on him even though you’re much steadier than you were before.
“Wanna go down to the beach?” Ben asks, gesturing toward a path that leads to the shimmering blue water.
You nod, taking his hand in yours and intertwining your fingers as he leads you down the path.
The beach is totally quiet at this time of night, a stark contrast from the loud and bustling club you just left, and you hold Ben’s arm for stability as you take off your heels to carry them. The feeling of the sand beneath your feet and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore helps to calm your senses.
You find a nice, secluded spot to sit and look out at the ocean. Before you can even complain of the slight chill, Ben removes his jacket and drapes it over your shoulders.
“Thank you,” you whisper, reaching out to grab his hand again, needing to maintain physical contact with him.
“Of course,” Ben says, squeezing your hand. “Will you please tell me what’s going on now, babe? You’ve seemed a bit off since you got here, and last night on the phone. I’m worried about you.”
“I know, I’m sorry,” you say. “I didn’t want to ruin your holiday with all this, I’ve just been struggling a bit lately. Work has gotten crazy stressful and so much stuff is piling up on me, it’s been making my anxiety a lot worse than it usually is. Tonight I just happened to check my work email in the toilets and I guess it triggered me, then the noise and the lights and everything were really overwhelming and I could tell I was about to have a panic attack. Luckily, Tom found me before it got too bad.”
Ben, who knows you’ve dealt with anxiety in the past and particularly in uni, just nods in understanding.
“You’ve been struggling these whole two weeks I’ve been gone?” he asks, visibly upset that you’re just telling him now.
It makes it even harder to tell him the full truth, but you know the point of this conversation is to be truly honest with him, even if it’s difficult.
“A few months, actually,” you confess. You see how his face falls completely, and you immediately elaborate. “I know I should’ve told you, but you’ve had such a tough year with the club and the World Cup and everything, I couldn’t bring myself to burden you with anything else.”
His eyes flash with a million different emotions, and for a moment you think he’s going to be mad at you, but he ends up just letting out a defeated sigh.
“You could never be a burden to me, Y/N,” Ben says firmly. “You’re everything to me. It doesn’t matter what I have going on, I need you to tell me if you’re going through something like this. Always.”
“I know, I will,” you reply, squeezing his hand again.
He takes your joined hands and brings them to his lips, pressing a kiss to each of your knuckles.
“I am so sorry I didn’t realize there was something going on earlier,” Ben says after a moment, shaking his head. “I feel like the world’s shittiest boyfriend.”
“Don’t apologize, baby, you’ve been going through a lot yourself,” you remind him.
“Yeah, but you’ve been there for me through all of it. Helping me when I was injured and talking me through every loss, week after week,” Ben sighs, the memories of the past season still fresh. “And I didn’t even know you were dealing with your own problems.”
“It’s alright, Ben, I promise,” you say with a small smile, reaching up to cup his cheek. “I’ve been managing okay, just being with you helps a lot. It’s been hardest these couple weeks you’ve been away.”
“I’m so sorry, if I had known I would have-“
“I know, that’s why I didn’t say anything,” you tell him, your thumb stroking his sweet, concerned features. “You needed this holiday. I didn’t want you to be worrying about me.”
Ben wraps his arm around you and pulls you closer, pressing a kiss to your temple and lingering there.
“Baby,” he murmurs so softly that your heart melts. “I love you, but I need you to be honest with me from now on. It breaks my heart that you were going through this alone.”
You nod, resting your cheek on his shoulder. “I know.”
“And as for the holiday, I think you’re in need of one, too,” he continues, rubbing your back. “You should tell your boss you’re taking the next week off and come to Italy with me. We’ve got the yacht all week.”
There’s nothing that sounds as appealing to you right now as spending a week in paradise, soaking up the sun and enjoying uninterrupted time with Ben, but you don’t know how well it will go over if you tell your boss you’re taking a week off with almost zero notice.
“Ben, you know I want to, but-“
“Babe, you’ve been working yourself like crazy since you started there. You’re one of their best employees and they would be lost without you,” Ben reminds you. “Tell them you need a break. I’m sure your boss will understand, and if she doesn’t, then maybe you should tell them you’ll reevaluate whether you have a future there.”
You know he’s right, but you’re still nervous to give that ultimatum. You’ve hardly taken any vacation in the past year and you’re certainly overdue for it, but it doesn’t come naturally to you to make demands - even when it’s necessary.
“What if they let me go?”
“Then they would be bloody idiots,” Ben scoffs. “You deserve to work somewhere that lets you prioritize your mental health, love. And if that’s not this job, then quit and we’ll find you something else.”
“I can’t just quit my job, Ben,” you chuckle, fiddling with the too-long sleeves of his jacket you’re wearing.
“You can if it doesn’t make you happy,” he replies without a beat. “And please don’t say need a steady income, because you know I don’t give a shit if you ever work another day in your life.”
While you’re aware that most of Ben’s mates - at least the ones in football - don’t have girlfriends with traditional jobs such as yourself, you’ve always liked making your own money. It’s not that you harbour any judgement for those who don’t, but you think you would go stir-crazy if you spent all your time waiting at home for Ben.
“I appreciate the offer, babe, but I think I just need to find a better work-life balance,” you admit. “Maybe a week off isn’t such a bad idea. I can talk to my boss in the morning.”
Ben’s face lights up and he begins to press little kisses all over your face, making your heart soar.
“Perfect, I was dreading saying goodbye to you again,” he confesses. “I hate sleeping without you.”
“So do I,” you murmur, pressing your lips against his briefly, pulling apart when a thought occurs to you. “I don’t have enough clothes for a week.”
“You won’t need them,” Ben replies without missing a beat, making you laugh and shove his chest playfully. “Or we can go shopping. Whatever you want, love.”
You smile into Ben’s kiss and he deepens it quickly, his arm wrapping around you to tug you impossibly closer. You sigh happily, enjoying the serenity and intimacy of this moment.
When you pull back again, he gently cups your cheek and you lean into his warm palm, pressing a quick kiss there.
“Are you feeling better now?” he asks softly. “Do you want to go back to the house?”
“I am feeling better, but I just want to stay here a little longer if that’s alright.”
“Of course, baby,” Ben smiles, shifting slightly and opening his arms wide so you can lean back against him.
He positions you so you’re inbetween his legs, leaning against his chest, with his arms tightly wrapped around you and your hands clutching his.
You’re both silent for a whole, listening to the sound of the sea and enjoying each other’s touch after a long two weeks without it.
“Promise me one more time that you’ll tell me if you’re ever feeling this way again,” Ben murmurs into your hair after a few minutes. “Because seeing you like that is one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced. I was so worried.”
Your heart aches a bit as you realize what a sight you must’ve been for your poor worried boyfriend, sobbing incoherently outside the club.
“I promise, Ben,” you say with a squeeze of his hand. “I won’t keep anything from you again.”
“Okay,” he breathes, lips pressed to your head. “I love you so much. I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with this by yourself, but I’m really glad you’re here with me now.”
“I love you too,” you say, snuggling deeper into his arms. “And I’m also really glad I’m here.”
Ben continues to press kisses to your head as you stare out at the sea, the comfort of his touch washing over you like the waves lapping against the shore.
Although there will be more hurdles for both of you to face as you continue your respective careers, you know that as long as you have Ben and ensure that you communicate your feelings, everything will be fine.
And in the meantime, you get to spend a week on a yacht with your hot boyfriend. Life could be a lot worse.

Honestly, freedom felt like summer then, on the coast has gotta be of the most quintessential Taylor lines ever, I’m telling you. It’s a lesser used motif in Taylor’s songs but I’m so fascinated by her use of “the coast” and “the beach” as and how it has only really surfaced (lol) in her mid to late periods (so far). Both in the safe haven it represents to her on its own but also how it’s often a foil to “the ocean”, and how a commonly used metaphor really works beautifully in her hands and fleshes out her worldview.
That line really cements this to me where she starts with a broad and abstract simile of “summer” but then zeroes in on what she meant by that by adding specifically “the coast.” Just flat out saying beaches make her feel free, which yes it’s an obvious but great choice to represent freedom. Beaches are seemingly endless when you’re on them, most of the time removed from the markers of modern society, and empty save sand and sky, unencumbered by even nature. And you can see that through line in a lot of her previous work more subtly as well. “Drinking on the beach with you all over me” on an album and song famously depicting her absconding with her lover to places where they’re safe from wandering eyes and free from having to perform what ever fronts they feel they have to put up. Snow on the Beach is an entire song that depicts the beach as this dreamy place of vulnerability, even if the song isn’t specifically set on a literal beach. It’s frequently invoked in the chorus, painting a vast sandy landscape blanketed in snow, as tranquil as the songs production and how peaceful she felt falling for someone at that time. In Gold Rush she does again set the scene on the coast, where “the coastal town we wandered round had never seen a love as pure as this” provides a quiet safe haven to once again feel free to love and express love. Depicting even towns along the coast as less traveled and free of pressure or expectations; places to aimlessly wander, endlessly if you wish. Even in TLGAD she uses it to portray freedom for characters outside of herself, with “The salt box house on the coast took her mind off St. Louis.” The beach provides a freedom and reprieve for Rebekah from the assumed suffocation of a city and all the social expectations that come with it. The beach is so clearly a source of unencumbered happiness for her because it's a place of physical remove, but it’s even better exemplified by how it specifically acts as a foil to the ocean in her work.
She’s always depicting the ocean as a metaphorical place of helpless tumult and dark unknowns. How she is “out on waves being tossed” in evermore with the ocean as a place without mercy or “if your cascade ocean wave blues come” where it’s an unstoppable force of sadness and unrest. In both of those, people are also physically taken over by the will of the ocean, a depiction of life’s painful inevitabilities that she recognizes as such but feels helpless against. Even how she visually depicts her gripping to her piano in the Cardigan video as the ocean tosses her around with no land in sight. Sometimes she herself is the ocean, with “I’m like the water when your ship rolled in that night. Rough on the surface…” where she is as untamable and damaging as the ocean. She uses the ocean to recognize danger and uncertainty in others, like with “ocean blue eyes looking in mine. I feel like I might sink and drown and die” which is hyperbolic yes, but still. The ocean she sees in their eyes is not beautiful but all consuming and potentially emotionally fatal for her in how it will consume her. Or to recognize the fearlessness in someone like how her boy in Midnight Rain was “jumping off things in the ocean” which is a terrifying place for her, but here he comes off a steady and solid in his ability to jump into it for fun and it doesn’t take him. The ocean is always bigger than her, standing in for the power of letting go with “the battleships will sink beneath the waves” and also standing in for the great unknown of committing yourself to someone with “we were stupid to jump in the ocean separating us.”
But most exciting to me is when these two metaphorical ideas of ocean and beach meet. “High tide came and brought you in” is a great one because here, she is safe on the shore, no longer putting herself at risk. But then, this great beast of the unknown brings her something; presumably something she wanted and potentially something good. But then “currents swept you out again” as the blue beast took it back. Unable to endure the thrashing ocean herself, she perches on the beach instead and waits. The beach in contrast to the active and churning ocean is a still place, a passive place. Freedom isn’t just an ability to hide from the world or a reprieve from the expectations of the world, but it can also be a reprieve from the expectations you put on yourself. Allowing yourself to rest and let come what may. The beach is also that for her, where she’s free from her own crushing thoughts and worries. Even when she herself is the ocean, thrashing about in her own mind, with “my waves meet your shore” she seeks the quiet and the serenity of the beach to soothe her and calm her. The soft expanse of sand to break her waves on and sink her foamy tide waters into. Control is one of the main things she seems to seek in all aspects of her life, in the way of control of her own story, her own personal space, her own agency, and the people around her in ensuring they won’t abandon her. In many ways, the ocean is outside herself in her use of it, but it’s always an extension of her, be it her fears of that loss of control or just fear of any unknown in life. It’s always a stand in for those parts of her in that way, her dark shadow swelling and swallowing everything whole if she lets it. The beach as her foil that becomes freedom from the grips and weight of the ocean, but also that first gasp of air knowing you are on land again, can find your footing again, solid ground. You can say she’s searching for that beach, that tranquil coast within herself to evade the trappings of the bottomless ocean within herself, but you could also say that in some cases, she is the ocean. Tired of her own restlessness and endless tumult, she’s forever searching for people in her life to be her shore, so she can finally rest on their warm sand, even for just a moment. I feel like that’s something everyone can relate to and is why it’s one of my favorite motifs in her work.

Can’t believe that it’s already fall.
Also happy late Virgo season!!
!! DO NOT RE-WORD, STEAL, REPOST AND ETC MY WORK. IF YOU WANT TO USE MY WORK THEN PLEASE ASK FOR PERMISSION FIRST AND ALWAYS GIVE CREDITS. !!
Further ado, I hope that you will enjoy my post and let me know if my observations apply to you. I absolutely love reading the comments and your thoughts on this so feel free to let your thoughts and mind free.
REMINDER everything that I may say in this post are just my opinions and stuff that i’ve noticed. I do not claim these to be 100% true and strong facts. If these do not apply do you then you can go and enjoy another post! :)
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
|~•~|Every degree up to the 12th can be taken as the house and happen to have the traits of that house.
Example: Saturn 5° - Leo traits or an outlook.
|~•~|ུ۪۪Moon Conjunct Saturn have very heavy and strong demons inside of them that they need to face. Sending a virtual hug to my fellow sufferers. <3
|~•~|People with 10th house lord in the 10th house had shown what they will be passionate about and their career & what they are like at their workplace in their childhood, but it was hard to recognize it.
|~•~|The 4th house represents your mother, her traits, vibe and relationship with her & the 9th house represents your father, his traits, vibe and relationship with him.
|~•~|Moon dominant people with moon in the air signs (especially Gemini) happen to be teachers or teaching and usually enjoy it very much, but at the same time other placements in the chart matter too.
|~•~|If you need guidance in what your career should be. Look at your earth houses - 2nd, 6th & 10th - as well as your Mercury and Saturn placements.
|~•~|Mercury Sextile Midheaven individuals may enjoy popularity in their career life, with many helpful and influential people. Their public life is greatly influenced by their intellectual talents, where you might be well celebrated.
|~•~|Sun Conjunct Mercury isn’t always a fame indicator. It can be a huge boost and help if you plan to or gain fame, but this placement alone, especially if they’re not developing it by getting speech lessons and as such will not indicate fame.
|~•~|Chiron in Aquarius individuals are math and math is them. There is no explanation to it.
|~•~|Pluto transiting the 11th house is a rollercoaster. You have a high chance of isolation yourself, intentionally or not and of the friendships and relationships are not strong then they will go away or thicken for the worse if it isn’t taken into action. If it has not come clear who are there to stay and who not and how you should feel about someone then it is the time for more clearer signs. Seeing this is a sign for you to do the spring (or winter/summer/autumn) cleaning and take it further and improve yourself and other things around you. Take on the challenge.
|~•~|Introverted people who have Pisces and Gemini in the big three scream “John Wayne Gacy, Jr” by Sufjan stevens to me.
|~•~|Pisces and Neptune dominant people liked watching things to do with water on youtube when they were a child. Such as dolls swimming or just watching someone swim and so on. (Dw, I was there too.)
|~•~|People who have prominent Aquarius in their chart seem to enjoy and listen to rap a lot. Also songs that are really popular.
|~•~|The first letters as A & M in a name screams Cancer and Cancer placements. This isn’t any theory or fact but it’s the same as like for an example: November, orange and Thursday are the same. Same with this.
|~•~|I am surprised not so many people are interested in draconic charts.
|~•~|Pisces moon people can go either way. They either act like the placement is described as or they act complete opposite and completely a different way. Usually remind me of Aries moon or placements even if they might not have any Aries placements. It just amazes me.
|~•~| I feel like Libra and Aries just in general are the chillest opposite signs as in they get along the best. (Not in the means of the sun.) Also as in the opposite, I feel like people with heavy Leo and people with heavy Aquarius get the least along with each-other.
|~•~|Scorpio + Virgo + Libra in a chart people are highly like to have their mbti type as ENFJ.
|~•~|The part of Fortune is what you do and the house is how you do it.
For an example: Part of Fortune in the 6th house - you want to break your dreams into actionable smaller steps. People with this position become successful when they approach their goals in an organized, strategic way.
|~•~|When it comes to physical beauty, I’d consider looking at the ruler of the chart.
Thank you for reading.
~ Also for context, I wrote this at 2AM so if something does not make sense then feel free to comment about it.
See you next time.
Love, Tsunami <3
