Started watching 'Into The Night' on Netflix and I'm already done with S1/2 and onto the spinoff.
It's an apocalyptic scenario where the sun's radiation becomes super strong to the point that it microwaves anyone unprotected in the day, and the only way to survive is 1. be in a very deep bunker or 2. be on a plane that is constantly flying in darkness.
The radiation also breaks down organic/carbon based things left in its path - like FOOD and FUEL.
So...uh-oh?
It sounds like a silly concept but honestly they keep it so tight and gripping that it never gets into 'American 22 episode silliness'. There's no filler and no endless arguments - shit just HAPPENS, especially in season 1.

*Sylvie smiling*
Ines: “Why are you smiling?”
Sylvie: “What? Can’t I just be happy?”
Matthieu: “Terenzio tripped and fell on the landing strip.”

I was scroolling through AO3 and remembered of some months ago how i was obssesed with Into the Night, but being more specific, with Gerardo and Filipe. Like these two motherfuckers the whole second season where talking to each other in Spanish and getting others confused trying to understand wtf they were saying, sharing little touches, and oh Gerardo being a fucking idiot trying to council Filipe who's just an asshole...
And to think I was all alone dreaming about these two because no one else in this world ships them, so my hyperfixation got flushed so fast and now I’m sad i didn’t enjoyed them.

— They all died right before my eyes, so I'm not scared anymore.
— So you were scared of me before? Of the man who was protecting you, watching over you from the beginning?

The Truth of Mankind…
…Is Also Dream’s
These quotes are from episode 5 (24/7):
“Garry dreams of proving his father he was wrong about him.”
“Kate dreams of running away where no one will find her.”
[But you do, and we see your star in so many panels of The Wake 🥺]
“Bette dreams of creating something that matters to people.”
You are the magician who became the man, Morpheus. And you are the king who left his kingdom, but not without making sure everyone else would be okay first--perhaps that is a different definition of a graceful ending, but it is graceful nonetheless.
You’re so painfully human, and yet, you are also not 😭
