Hey! I wanna talk for a sec about the Live Music Archive. If you're a tMG fan who's on here you probably already at least know about it, but for anyone unfamiliar I want to do a quick post talking about what it is and how you can listen!
The Live Music Archive is a collection hosted by the Internet Archive for audio recordings of concerts. Specifically, the LMA hosts, with permission from the band, user-contributed recordings of concerts. Some fans will go to concerts with recording gear to take a full audio recording of the show and then upload it to the archive under the band's collection. As of writing this post there are almost 450 live tapes uploaded to the tMG LMA collection!
There's a few ways that you can listen to recordings on the Live Music Archive. The webpage works pretty well both on desktop and mobile browsers, and that's what I typically use. You can also listen on web without having to make an account on the Internet Archive, which is convenient for browsing. I also use the webpage to download mp3s of favorite tapes to my phone, so that I can listen to them in my local music player.
However, if you don't mind making a free account and prefer the convenience of something more like Spotify, you can also listen to anything on the LMA via the Taper's Section app for Android or the Live Music Archive app for iOS! (Obligatory disclaimer that I use an Android and can't personally vouch for the iOS app, but afaik they have similar features.) The apps have the same functionality as the webpage in a more streamlined mobile-friendly interface, plus things like notifications when there's a new tape added to a collection you follow and downloading in-app for offline listening. The Android app also has a tab for tapes from today's date, there's often at least one (there are FOUR for today!) and that's a really fun way to find tapes to listen to.
If you're looking at this going, wow, that sounds really cool but there's so many tapes that it's a little overwhelming to get into this, don't worry! I'll leave you with a couple recommendations. As mentioned above, I like to listen to shows from the current date. Another fun way to find shows is looking for a specific song - you can go on the wiki and it'll list every show at which the song has been played live, and then just search until you find one of them that has a tape on the archive. Lastly, a few specific favorite tapes of mine:
- 2014-06-15 has the entirety of Taboo VI: The Homecoming played live + one of my absolute favorite performances of both Woke Up New and The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton.
- 2015-06-01 is the only time Straight Six has ever been played live and it's interestingly pretty different from the EP version, plus a phenomenal back to back Spent Gladiator 1 & 2.
- 2021-08-06 was the first show after the band started playing concerts again post 2020, and it has a really incredible energy and a phenomenal setlist.
- 2024-03-01 is from the recent run of solo shows, this one was at Grace Cathedral and the ambience is truly truly incredible, it feels so ethereal.
Please feel free to add any additional notes or some of your own favorite tapes to the post as well! Happy listening!!

TBOSAS on Crack short take (15)
*The time when the 24 OG Mentors played the “Bring something forbidden to school” game*
Festus: As your ✨Class Representative✨ and the best player of this game, please present your “Forbidden Goods” to the class!
Palmyra: *Raises her hand* Let me start, Fest! You guys will like this! I swear!
Festus: Fire away, Palm!☺️
Palmyra: *pulls out an expired bottle of Nutella* I brought my mother’s secret stash of chocolate spread!
Lysistrata: Is it safe to consume?
Palmyra: Yup! I even saw her eating it yesterday!
Lysistrata: Fascinating! Let me see! *grabs the bottle* It says here that this product was made in 2012.
Festus: 2012?! That was centuries ago!
Clemensia: WTH, Palm! That’s basically poison!😱
Gaius: Does your mother secretly have a death wish?!
Palmyra: Who wants to go next?🙂
Pup: Me! *pulls out a bloody sword* I present you my great great grandfather’s saber!
Juno: Why is there fresh blood on that thing, Pup?!
Apollo: *suddenly licks the sword* Calm down. It’s just ketchup.
Pup: It’s not ketchup.
Diana: Ew! Why did you lick that, bro?! I’m telling mom!
Clemensia: I’m next! *Pulls out the last copy of the 2004 movie: White Chicks* I present you my father’s favorite banned movie!
Livia: Clemmie, you witch! How did YOU get that?!
Sejanus: That was banned ages ago!
Arachne: I’m so jealous!
Coryo: Now that’s really illegal!
Juno: Felix Ravinstill, you better not tell your granduncle about this!
Felix: But-
Juno: Don’t you dare tell the President!
Felix: Why not? My crazy granduncle likes White Chicks.
Coryo: Then why did our government banned it?
Felix: Because it featured Vanessa Carlton’s iconic ✨A Thousand Miles✨ song.
Coryo: And that song is illegal?
Felix: To be fair, any song that’s not praising Panem or the Capitol is automatically banned in my crazy family’s book.😞
Coryo: That’s rough, buddy.
Felix: But who cares! I still secretly love to watch White Chicks with my crazy granduncle.
Juno: Good. Because we are all gonna watch it later!🥳
Lysistrata: Me next! *pulls out 24 illegally manufactured morphling bottles* I stole these.🤫
Persephone: Bestie, you brought drugs?!
Coryo: Again. She brought drugs again.
Lysistrata: Yeah. My parents are doctors. I can get away with these.
Androcles: You better hide that from “You-Know-Who” or he’ll hunt you down and strangle you.
Lysistrata: Noted!😉 Coryo, you’re next!
Coryo: Ok. Don’t laugh. I traded 5 cabbages for these years ago.
Domitia: Just show it already!
Coryo: *Pulls out two very famous banned music albums from the 2020s* I present you the last copy of Taylor Swift’s Midnights Album!
Hilarius: What’s the other one?
Coryo: 1989.
Hilarius: Taylor’s Version?
Coryo: Taylor’s Version.
Hilarius: *starts screaming like a crazy fangirl* Coryo Snow, I love you!
Sejanus: Back off, Hilari! Coryo’s mine!
Vipsania: Where the heck did you get those, Snow?!
Felix: You beautiful gorgeous man, give those albums to me!
Festus: Coryo, my bro, I’ll feed you forever if you give them to me instead!
Io: Coryo, I’ll pay you two more cabbages!
Livia: You lying thief! Where did you steal those treasures?!
Coryo: Black Market.
Dennis: I knew it! I knew my mama really does sell banned music albums for cabbages!
Hilarius: Yo, guys, you don’t have to fight. I brought a banned compatible CD player for this game. So let’s just listen to the songs together.
Coryo: Fine. Let’s listen to my favorite song first.
Sejanus: Snow on the Beach!
Felix: Can I be Lana Del Rey?🥺
Coryo: Sure. Whatever you want, Class Pres. *clicks the play button* Here we go.
Felix: Yey!
Everyone: *skips to the chorus, and sings like no tomorrow* 🎶And it's like SNOW at the beach, Weird but f*ckin' beautiful, Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful-🎶
Sejanus: Wait! Stop! I haven’t shown mine yet!
Florus: Fine! The stage is yours, Plinth. *clicks to pause*
Sejanus: *pulls out a whole ass body bag from the corner and opens it* This is Marcus! My classmate and friend from District 2!
Livia: What the actual fu-
Sejanus: Say hello, Marcus!☺️
Marcus: *bored AF* Hi, I’m Marcus.
Festus: You freaking brought your Tribute to school?!
Sejanus: To be fair, you said something forbidden.
Domitia: SOME. THING. Not Someone!
Coryo: Not again!
Urban: We’re all getting a demerit from Sejanus Plinth’s stunt!😫
Iphigenia: Or expelled!😭
Arachne: You idiot Plinth!😡🔪
Marcus: Where’s the food?
Livia: *faints from the shock*
Everyone:. . .
Marcus:. . .
Coryo: So should we continue?
Dennis: Yeah. Sure. Why not.
Coryo: Festus, play the song!
Festus: Got it! *clicks to play*
Everyone+Marcus: *nervously starts singing again* 🎶You wanting me tonight feels impossible, But it's comin' down, no sound, it's all around, Like ✨SNOW✨ on the beach, Like ✨SNOW✨ on the beach, Like ✨SNOW✨ on the beach, Like ✨SNOW✨, oh, oh oh🎶
*Drunk!Casca Highbottom lurking in the shadows (again)*
Drunk!Casca: *Sees Marcus inside the classroom* I swear, Sickle! I swear that there were only 24 Mentors in that room! Not 25!
Prof.Sickle: 24 again. Livia Cardew just fainted.

2023 Oscars Trivia (Post-Ceremony)
Like last year, the Best Picture winner had a big night: Oppenheimer won 7 awards, as did Everything Everywhere All at Once. This post will use the word "consecutive" a lot.
This is the second consecutive year that a film won 7+ awards. The last time that happened was 1996-1998 (The English Patient; Titanic; Shakespeare in Love).
This is the second consecutive year that a film has won multiple acting awards. The last time that happened was 2003 & 2004 (Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby). The only other time consecutive Best Picture winners won multiple acting awards was 1953 & 1954 (From Here to Eternity and On the Waterfront).
Four consecutive Best Picture winners have won for acting, the longest streak since 1998-2002.
Oppenheimer is the first film since The Artist (2011) to win both Best Picture and Best Actor.
Oppenheimer is the 6th film to win both male acting awards and the first since Dallas Buyers Club (2013). The last Best Picture winner to win both male acting awards was Ben-Hur (1959).
Three of this year's acting winners have starred in superhero films: Emma Stone was Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man, Cillian Murphy was Scarecrow in the Nolan Batman movies, and Robert Downey Jr., of course, is Iron Man.
Oppenheimer is the highest-grossing Best Picture winner since The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003).
Three Best Picture nominees went home empty-handed: Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, and Past Lives.
Killers of the Flower Moon is the third Scorsese film to receive 10 nominations and 0 awards (Gangs of New York, 2002; The Irishman, 2019).
Diane Warren continues to hold the record for most Original Song nominations without a win (15) and continues to be the woman with the most Oscar nominations without a win. She has lost six in a row.
Bradley Cooper is now tied for 8th place among individuals with the most nominations without a win (12).
Despite several nominations -- Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro for Killers of the Flower Moon, and Matteo Garrone's Io Capitano for International Feature -- none of the men behind Goncharov took home an Oscar.
This is the 8th consecutive year with at least one black winner, extending the record.
Da'Vine Joy Randolph is the 10th black woman to win Best Supporting Actress -- the first acting category to hit double digits.
This is the fourth consecutive year with at least one non-white acting winner (Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan in 2022; Will Smith and Ariana DeBose in 2021; Daniel Kaluuya and Youn Yuh-jung in 2020) -- the longest streak ever.
Cord Jefferson is the 8th black screenplay winner, and this is the 6th such win (all but one were for Adapted Screenplay).
This is the fourth year in a row that a woman has won a screenplay award (Justine Triet for Anatomy of a Fall, Sarah Polley for Women Talking, Sian Heder for CODA, Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman) -- the longest streak ever.
Both screenplay wins were the only wins for their films, and both wins included the film's director. This is the 9th year in a row that a director has won for Original Screenplay, and the 6th year in a row for Adapted Screenplay; both are records.
Kiyoko Shibuya is the third woman and first woman of color to win for Visual Effects (Suzanne M. Benson for Aliens, 1986; Sara Bennett for Ex Machina, 2015).
Neil Corbould, nominated for The Creator, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part I, and Napoleon, is the first person to lose for Visual Effects three times in one year (don't worry, he's already won twice).
Billie Eilish (22) and Finneas O'Connell (26) are the youngest people to win multiple Oscars ("No Time to Die" from No Time to Die, 2021).
At 35, Emma Stone is the 8th-youngest person and woman to win two acting Oscars, and the 7th-youngest to win Best Actress twice.
Cillian Murphy is the first Irish Best Actor winner.
Christopher Nolan was the only individual to win multiple awards (Picture and Director).
Christopher Nolan is the first white man to win Best Director solo since Damien Chazelle (La La Land, 2016). Including Daniel Scheinert for Everything Everywhere All at Once, this is the first time since 2010 & 2011 that white men have won Best Director in consecutive years (Tom Hooper for The King's Speech; Michel Hazanavicius for The Artist), and that consecutive Best Picture winners have had a white male director.
The Zone of Interest is the first film from the United Kingdom to win Best International Feature. It is the fifth Best Picture nominee in six years to win in this category, and the third in a row (Drive My Car and All Quiet on the Western Front).
20 Days in Mariupol is the first Ukrainian film to win an Oscar.
Takashi Yamazaki is the second director to win for Visual Effects (Stanley Kubrick for 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968).
Godzilla Minus One is the first Godzilla film to win an Oscar and the first Japanese film to win for Visual Effects (Tora! Tora! Tora!, 1970, was an American-Japanese co-production). Previously, the only Asian Visual Effects winner was Taiwanese-American Doug Chiang (Death Becomes Her, 1992).
This is the second time that only one non-Best Picture nominee won in a main category (i.e. excluding Animated, Documentary, International, shorts). The other time was 1997 (Best Makeup for Men in Black); notably, that was the year Titanic tied the record for most awards.
This is the second year in a row that the most-nominated film a) won Best Picture and b) won the most awards of the night. The last time consecutive most-nominated films won the most awards was 2016 & 2017 (La La Land and The Shape of Water); the last time consecutive most-nominated films won Best Picture was 2009 & 2010 (The Hurt Locker and The King's Speech).
This is the second consecutive year that multiple films have won 4+ awards (Everything Everywhere All at Once and All Quiet on the Western Front). The last year with multiple 4+ winners was 2014 (Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel), and the last time it happened consecutively was 2010 & 2011 (The King's Speech and Inception; The Artist and Hugo).
This is the third consecutive year that three or fewer films have won multiple awards, the longest streak since 1956-1960.
Two couples shared wins: Christopher Nolan & Emma Thomas for Best Picture, and Justine Triet & Arthur Harari for Original Screenplay.
Christopher Nolan & Emma Thomas are the third couple to share a Best Picture win (Richard D. Zanuck & Lili Fini Zanuck, Driving Miss Daisy, 1989; Peter Jackson & Fran Walsh, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, 2003).
Justine Triet & Arthur Harari are the third couple to win for Original Screenplay (Muriel & Sydney Box, The Seventh Veil, 1946; Earl W. & Pamela Wallace, Witness, 1985).
Toshio Suzuki is the second Asian winner of Animated Feature, and Hayao Miyazaki is the first Asian to win twice (Spirited Away, 2002).
The Boy and the Heron and Spirited Away are the only two hand-drawn animated films and the only two non-English-language films to win Animated Feature.
Pixar has lost Animated Feature three years in a row, its longest drought ever.
Holly Waddington is the first person since Mark Bridges (The Artist, 2011) to win Best Costume Design for her first nomination.

Apple Vision Pro Hands On: The Opposite of Disappearing — Roughly half the shitty hot takes on this are on the level of the “iPad? What a horrible name! And it’s a big iPhone!” crap we heard in 2010. The less stupid ones are fixated on very real limitations —that battery pack— and the risky choices —EyeSight— while ignoring that Apple has finally produced Good Enough VR. It’s nowhere near Cheap Enough, mind you, but there’s now a solid foundation upon which to build. It’s a giant leap over everything else out there.

Tips for Maximizing Your Workout Earbud Experience
Cleaning and maintaining your workout earbuds is essential for ensuring optimal performance, hygiene, and longevity. Here are some general tips on how to clean and maintain your workout earbuds:
Cleaning Tips:
Regular Wiping:
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the earbuds regularly. This helps remove sweat, dirt, and oils that can accumulate during workouts.
Cleaning the Ear Tips:
If your earbuds have removable silicone ear tips, take them off and clean them separately. You can wash them with mild soap and water. Make sure they are completely dry before reattaching them.
Disinfecting:
To disinfect your earbuds, you can use a gentle disinfectant wipe. Make sure the disinfectant is safe for electronic devices, and avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the earbuds.
Removing Ear Wax:
If earwax accumulates on the ear tips or speaker mesh, use a small brush (like a soft toothbrush or a specialized electronics cleaning brush) to gently remove it. Avoid using sharp objects that could damage the earbuds.
Drying:
After workouts, allow your earbuds to air dry before placing them in the charging case. Avoid charging wet earbuds, as moisture can damage the electronic components.
Maintenance Tips:
Store Properly:
When not in use, store your earbuds in their charging case. This not only keeps them safe but also ensures they are charged and ready for your next workout.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures:
Avoid exposing your earbuds to extreme temperatures, as this can affect battery performance and the overall lifespan of the device.
Protect from Moisture:
If your earbuds are not water-resistant, be cautious about exposing them to moisture. Keep them dry during workouts and store them in a moisture-free environment.
Check the Connections:
Periodically check the charging ports and connections for any debris. Use a small, dry brush or compressed air to remove any dust or lint that may have accumulated.
Update Firmware:
Check for firmware updates provided by the manufacturer. Keeping your earbuds' firmware up to date can enhance performance and address any potential issues.
Replace Ear Tips:
If your ear tips show signs of wear or become less effective at sealing sound, consider replacing them with new ones. Most earbud manufacturers offer replacement tips.
Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting common issues with workout earbuds can help resolve problems and ensure a seamless listening experience during your workouts. Here are some common issues and their troubleshooting solutions:
1. Connection Issues:
Issue: Earbuds are not connecting to your device.
Solution:
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
Check if the earbuds are in pairing mode.
Forget the earbuds on your device and re-pair them.
2. Audio Quality Issues:
Issue: Distorted or low-quality audio.
Solution:
Check if there's interference from other devices.
Ensure the earbuds are clean, especially the speaker mesh.
Adjust the Bluetooth codec settings on your device if available.
3. Charging Problems:
Issue: Earbuds are not charging or not holding a charge.
Solution:
Clean the charging ports on both the earbuds and the charging case.
Verify the charging cable and power source.
Ensure the earbuds are properly placed in the charging case.
4. Pairing Issues with Multiple Devices:
Issue: Difficulty connecting to multiple devices.
Solution:
Disconnect from other devices before pairing with a new one.
Reset the earbuds to factory settings if necessary.
5. One Earbud Not Working:
Issue: Sound only coming from one earbud.
Solution:
Check for debris or earwax blocking the speaker mesh.
Try resetting the earbuds or updating the firmware.
Ensure both earbuds are fully charged.
6. Intermittent Connectivity:
Issue: Audio cuts in and out during use.
Solution:
Check for interference from other electronic devices.
Ensure your Bluetooth source is within the recommended range.
Reset the earbuds and reconnect.
7. Earbud Fit Issues:
Issue: Earbuds falling out during workouts.
Solution:
Try different ear tip sizes for a better fit.
Consider using ear wings or hooks if available.
Clean ear tips regularly to maintain a secure seal.
8. Unresponsive Controls:
Issue: Touch controls or buttons not responding.
Solution:
Ensure your hands are clean and dry.
Check for firmware updates that may address control issues.
Refer to the user manual for specific control instructions.
9. Excessive Noise Leakage:
Issue: Sound from the earbuds is audible to others.
Solution:
Check for a secure fit with the ear tips.
Adjust the volume to a lower level.
If using noise-canceling earbuds, make sure the feature is active.
10. Microphone Issues:
Issue: Poor call quality or the microphone not working.
Solution:
Clean the microphone ports to remove debris.
Ensure the earbuds are positioned correctly during calls.
Check if there are any firmware updates that address microphone issues.
11. App-Related Problems:
Issue: Issues with the companion app.
Solution:
Update the app to the latest version.
Check for compatibility with your device's operating system.
Contact the app developer for support.

How to Install Cydia iOS 15
Tumblr media
Cydia is an app store that lets you download third-party apps on jailbroken iOS devices. It's a great way to customize your device with free games, music, and other apps. There are also many tweaks you can use to make your device work better.
The latest update to iOS 15 comes with a lot of bug fixes and improvements. It's important to keep up with all of the latest updates so you can enjoy your iDevice and its features without worrying about bugs.
However, even with the latest update to iOS 15 a lot of people are still struggling to find an easy way to Cydia install on their iDevices. Thankfully, a new jailbreak tool called CydiaFree has been released for iOS 15, and it's the ideal solution for those who are looking to get the latest Cydia install on their iDevices.
Unlike most of the other popular jailbreak tools, CydiaFree doesn't require any hardware or software to run and it can be installed on almost all iOS devices. To install Cydia iOS 15, just download the iOS 15 Jailbreak app from our website and follow the simple installation instructions.
If you're on an iOS 15 / 16 / 17 device, there are some downsides to Cydia. One of the biggest is that it can cause your device to drain its battery quickly. It's best to avoid installing any Cydia tweaks if you plan on using your device for long periods of time.
This is because some of the tweaks can increase your device's performance and cause it to heat up. In addition, they can also cause your device to crash and drain its battery. To fix this, you can use a tool called Anti Revoke that will help you stay safe from any malware and viruses that might be lurking in your Cydia installers.
Another downside to Cydia is that it can get messed up with the latest iOS update. For example, it can crash on your device if you have downloaded an app that has an outdated version of Apple's SDK. So be sure to check out the release notes before downloading a tweak for your device.
As you can see, there are a number of disadvantages to Cydia, but it's a fantastic way to customize your device and feel more comfortable with it. As a result, a lot of people have started using it on their iOS devices.
So if you're on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and want to try out the latest Cydia tweaks, be sure to check out the Cydia Demo for your device. You can download it for all iOS versions, including iOS 15, and experience Cydia without risking jailbreaks or warranty voiding.
Cydia is a great way to customize your iOS device, and it has been around for quite some time. It's a fun way to add new features and improve your device's performance. It's also a great way to save money on paid apps.

“Hot dog?” The kitten jumped up again and meowed loudly. Willie on the other hand was suddenly sitting down. “Alex? Is … is that you?” The kitten meowed loudly once again and headbutted Willie’s shin. “You’re … you’re a cat.” As the kitten tilted its head and stared at him, eyes narrowing, hysterical laughter bubbled out of Willie. “Okay, yeah, that’s you. Definitely.” He ran a hand through his hair. “Well, shit.” Alex the kitten meowed his agreement.

Kitten fic is finally here! I'm probably going to post the second and final chapter soonish too but I really, really ought to do the dishes now (and some other chores ... yay) so I'm just throwing this out here.
Thanks eternal to @merihn for being my first enabler and first reader, aka beta on this, to @innytoes for being excited about the idea and drawing amazing fanart that finally kicked my butt into writing this, and to @chanihobbit for cheering me on. You guys are amazing 😻😻😻

Give me a 5 sentence Snake/Otacon AU where one is an cryptid please!
"Wait, I can explain."
Snake winces at the throaty growl of his voice - it's been a while since he's talked to anyone other than his dogs - but then tries to school his features into a harmless, open expression and suppresses the urge to reach out to the man in front of him.
The man takes a step back anyway - so much for appearing friendly.
Mentally, Snake is already compiling lists of things to pack, how quickly he can get his dogs settled and harnessed and he absolutely refuses to get distracted by the familiar weight of sadness creeping in at the thought of losing even this last connection to humanity - his email friendship with a man who was never supposed to find him in the middle of Alaska.
But then Otacon smiles and it's not a nervous smile or even a sympathetic smile, it's a smile full of enthusiasm and awe that only gets brighter when he reaches up and wipes the mist off his glasses, pushing them back up the slippery slope of his nose and takes in all of Snake.
"This is the best thing that's ever happened to me!"
--
Thank you, hunny!! God it's been a while since I wrote these two disasters. I couldn't decide what kind of cryptid Snake would be so I'm leaving that up to you. I hope you like this (even though it's six sentences ... shhhhh)

Please be more careful about accidentally stealing tags, especially on reblogging original art posts!
I know tumblr is a trashfire and there's issues with the app and accidental tag stealing. I operate on a 'good faith' interpretation system. But while copied tags are vaguely weird when it's 'normal' tags, annoying when it's very personal tags, hilarious when it's a personal tagging system suddenly appearing on a different blog, it's just plain wrong when you reblog original art from the op and tags like 'my art' or 'I drew a thing' are copied over!
Sure, every dolt with half a brain will probably be able to figure out it wasn't your original art if you reblogged it but as we all know, this site unfortunately has too many dolts with less brain than that.
(edit: I've been informed that the iOS glitch means you can't see if the tags get copied before you hit reblog, which sucks majorly. But if you use that app, maybe just form a habit of checking your blog every now and then to see if anything got copied over you didn't want to get copied or give blanket permission to people to point those posts out for you)
So.
Please be vigilant to NOT EVER copy tags like 'my art,' 'my writing' etc.

Can you imagine all the dramatic fights Emily and Luke would have over the scraps of paper he leaves in his laundry? Emily complaining about all the paper fluff she had to pick off her laundry and Luke wailing about all the lyrics he's lost?
Anyway, this post is sponsored by the shopping list I forgot in the back pocket of my jeans ...

My #1 post of 2022
It's worth it sometimes, you guys. I just got a comment on a five year old fic and I'm ready to cry:
"i thought of this fic again and had to come back and leave a comment on how impactful it has been to me. [...]"
This was not a person who had commented on this fic before. So, to me, this was a new reader but their comment makes it clear that they didn't just read the story and liked it but that they've read it before and it stayed with them. Which is really the highest praise I can think of.
So for anyone thinking about deleting a fic or orphaning it: don't. You take your chance away of getting a comment like this at some point down the road.

You Can Block Those Annoying Cookie Banners on Every Website
They might be legally required, but they're also blocking everything you want to read.
By Pranay Parab
There’s a long list of things that make browsing the internet feel like living in a dystopian hellscape, and annoying cookie banners and consent forms are right at the top of that list. Most websites are legally required to display these notices and take your consent for using cookies. However, it also blocks a big chunk of the website you’re trying to read. Let’s fix this on all of your devices.
Block cookie banners on desktop
No matter what platform you’re using, you can easily install a browser extension to block cookie notices. Super Agent is a free extension that works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. It’s built to automatically get rid of cookie banners and will come through for almost all the websites you visit. The extension’s preferences page allows you to customize which cookies you want to accept and which ones you want to reject. This is a key feature: You don’t want to use an add-on that automatically accepts all cookies on every websites you go to.
If you’d rather not install a dedicated extension for this purpose, you can use uBlock Origin as an alternative. It blocks a long list of annoyances by default, but you have to manually enable its cookie-notice blocking list. Click the uBlock Origin icon and go to Settings > Filter lists > Annoyances. Enable EasyList Cookie to hide cookie banners.
Be aware that automatically blocking cookie notices could prevent some websites from loading altogether, which is why you can consider using uBlock Origin’s element hiding feature instead. When you see a cookie notice on any website, you can click the uBlock Origin extension icon from the browser’s toolbar, and select the eyedropper icon.
This enters the element-picker mode: Hover the mouse cursor over the cookie notice till the entire banner is selected, click it once, and select Create Filter in the pop-up window. You may have to do this manually on multiple websites, but it’s a one-time effort for each website you visit and only takes a few clicks.
Block cookie banners on iPhone and iPad
As long as your iPhone and iPad are updated to iOS 15, you can use some great Safari extensions to block annoyances on the web. However, Super Agent is still the best cookie-notice handler for iPhone and iPad. It lets the cookie banner load and automatically accepts or rejects cookies based on your preferences. This takes a second or so after the website loads, but you don’t have to do anything after enabling the extension.
Block cookie banners on Android
If you use Firefox on Android, you can install the browser add-on for uBlock Origin to block cookie notices on all websites. If you don’t, your best bet is to use an ad-blocker like AdGuard for Android, which also blocks cookie banners on various websites. The unfortunate truth is that these types of apps are not allowed on Google Play, so you may have to sideload it on your phone.

The iPad Pro is a powerful device that combines the portability of a tablet with the functionality of a laptop. Whether you use it for work, creativity, or entertainment, there are several tips and tricks that can help you get the most out of your iPad Pro.
Here Are Ten Tips and Tricks That You Should Know in 20231. Use a Mouse and Keyboard With Your iPad One of the best features of the iPad Pro is its compatibility with external accessories. You can connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to enhance your productivity and make your iPad Pro feel more like a traditional computer. Simply go to Settings > Bluetooth and pair your accessories.
2. Drag and Drop Text Between Apps With the iPad Pro’s multitasking capabilities, you can easily drag and drop text between different apps. Simply select the text you want to move, long-press on it, and then drag it to the desired app. This feature makes it convenient to share information between apps without the need for copying and pasting.
3. Use App Library to Keep Your Home Screen Clean If your home screen is cluttered with apps, you can take advantage of the App Library feature introduced in iOS 14. Swipe all the way to the right on your home screen to access the App Library, which organizes your apps into categories automatically. It helps you keep your home screen clean and makes it easier to find the apps you need.
4. Use an Apple Pencil If you own an Apple Pencil, make the most of it by utilizing its full range of features. The Apple Pencil is perfect for note-taking, drawing, and annotating documents. It also offers gesture controls that allow you to perform tasks quickly, such as double-tapping the pencil to switch between tools.
5. Take Advantage of Widgets Widgets provide at-a-glance information and quick access to your favorite apps. On your iPad Pro, you can add widgets to your home screen by swiping right, tapping the Edit button at the bottom, and selecting the “+” button. Experiment with different widgets to find the ones that suit your needs and help you stay organized.
6. Use Quick Notes Quick Notes is a handy feature that lets you jot down notes quickly without needing to open a dedicated note-taking app. Simply swipe from the bottom-right corner of the screen with an Apple Pencil or your finger to open Quick Notes. You can even activate it from the Control Center.
7. Use Your iPad as a Second Screen With the Sidecar feature, you can use your iPad Pro as a second screen for your Mac. This is especially useful for multitasking or when you need more screen real estate. To enable Sidecar, go to System Preferences on your Mac, click on Sidecar, and select your iPad from the list of available devices.
8. Enhance Safari With Extensions In iPadOS 15, Safari supports extensions, allowing you to customize your browsing experience. You can add extensions like ad blockers, password managers, and translation tools to enhance your productivity and privacy. To manage your Safari extensions, go to Settings > Safari > Extensions.
9. Multitask with Stage Manager Stage Manager is a powerful tool that makes multitasking on the iPad Pro more efficient. It allows you to create custom layouts with multiple apps and switch between them seamlessly. To access Stage Manager, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and drag an app to the side to open it in Slide Over or Split View.
10. Find Anything With Spotlight Spotlight is an incredibly useful feature on your iPad that allows you to find anything you need quickly. If you haven’t used Spotlight before, here’s how to access it: On your Home Screen, simply swipe down, and you’ll see the search bar right there. Once you’re in Spotlight, you’ll find a range of options to search for exactly what you’re looking for. Along with Siri Suggestions, which intelligently recommends apps based on your usage history, the search bar is where the magic happens. Simply tap into it, and you can start searching for various things.
Conclusion Counterfeit products are everywhere. If you’re tempted to buy a fake Apple charger because of its cheap price, remember the potential hazards it will bring. These counterfeit chargers can not only harm your device but also pose serious risks such as overheating, electric shocks, or even fires
To be safe, it is strongly advised to purchase Apple accessories exclusively from Apple or trusted suppliers and third-party vendors who are certified by Apple.

hi! sorry to bother but i was wondering if you know some resources at how can i learn to make themes? im already learning html/css but im finding hard to find good resources to learn how to make themes :( btw: love your work!
Hello! Thank you for the compliment and your interest in making themes.
Since you’re already learning HTML and CSS, I don’t think I need to tell you about w3schools or stackoverflow – you probably came across them yourself already. :)
The best way to understand tumblr themes is to look at the official guide for creating custom themes. There, all of the (necessary) variables are listed and their purpose is described as well.
Base codes can be very helpful to see how these elements look when they are put together, plus the HTML works already so you can focus on manipulating elements with CSS.
@buildthemes is an entire blog dedicated to teaching people how to code themes. You have to view the blog in its own tab to access the different chapters.
@theme-hunter also has a neat list of tutorials you can use for creating amazing themes.
I hope these resources are helpful!
