rise april tags along with 87 april to the channel 6 news building for the day, being the only other april 87's met who has an interest in news media. rise april gets to meet the cast of characters 87 hangs out with when she's not around the turtles.

Here is a big part of the gang!

We have Tim inspired by the 2012 version and the work of @pinetreevillain as I love it and needed someone to show the pop culture to Usagi and Lotus. And he's also a mutant, same acidic slime as his counterpart, only Tim can control his form and pass as human without a camouflage brooch.

You know Lotus, inspired by the 1987 version with the more vibrant color variation from the Rise universe. Time traveler from Ancient China.

And our samurai rabbit from another dimension, Yuichi Usagi, inspired by the Samurai Rabbit cartoon.

Irma, also a combination of 2012 and 1987, a conspiracy theorist and being the oldest of the group with college age.

Mona Lisa, once a human then a mutant, inspired mostly by the 1987 backstory. And being very tall and invulnerable.

And Jason, the same, human to mutant, not yet baptized as Mondo Gecko since he hasn't met Mikey. Aspiring fashion designer and skateboarder.

Someday i'm gonna tell the world about my Rise S3 with a Renet Tilley that's actually a Kraang, with a Mona Lisa that's more based on her 87 counterpart than on her 2012 one, with a Lotus Blossom that's CONSTANTLY at Leonardo's throat, and with a Irma Langenstein that's actually Bishop and Chaplin's robot daughter.

Meet Irma Langinstein!

I revised an older character from the older iterations to make her fit into my very own (kinda dark) fic!

She's half Indian (the South Asian kind, not to be confused with Native Americans) and half Swiss.

There's more of her to come in my fic, so leave kudos and stay tuned!!!

April and Irma

I'm still sad that Irma wasn't in rottmnt.

She could have easily played the straight man character to contrast everyone else's high energy goofiness.

Picture this:

Irma, a homeschooled teen who works as a secretary for channel 6 news, a total workaholic, who needs to touch some grass and loosen up a bit and is in desperate need of some friends. So her parents decided to enroll her in public school so she can make friends.

(She could have done so if she wanted, but very much CHOOSE not to, so her parents basically threw her into the deep end of the metaphorical social pool so she could learn to swim.)

April, as awesome as she is, desperately wants some normalcy in her not so normal life. Meets the new girl who knows nothing about April and April sees this as an opportunity with a blank slate. BOOM! Friendship achievement unlocked.

Idk. I feel like they'd balance out each well, Irma can help April be a bit more grounded and April can help Irma loosen up a bit and have fun.

I'd like to think that Irma's first reaction to the turtles is just a reference to the first TMNT movie where April passes out, wakes up and thinks she's dreaming.

After awhile, when the shock wears off she'd just become more curious and a bunch of questions. I think she'd get along with them just fine, but their high energy would wear out her social battery very quickly and she'd probably just visit the lair rarely.

With her work ing at channel 6 she could probably help setup an interview for April to work there.

I'd write more but I don't feel like it right now.
