Plants & Tea & Raspberries, oh my! - Dodie Imagine 🌻

*-this is my first fic ever so I’m so sorry lmao ily tho-*

It’s a chilly Tuesday morning, you stand at the bus stop and stare at the ground and wonder if you should have worn warmer shoes today... I mean it is 56 degrees and you do have to walk home from wor-

“Hello there” a smooth voice says in front of me

I’m cut from my thoughts when I look to see who had spoken to me

Her lovely accent and soft facial features give me some sort of warmth that I can’t explain

“I’m sorry to bother you, I really am, but I just can’t seem to find my bus stop, I’m trying to find the bus that stops next to this cute little plant shop, Green Fingers Market.” she tells me smiling and fiddling with the hem of her skirt.

I smile back and sort of laugh

“Well you are in luck, this is the stop and I actually work there, if you want we can sit together on the bus,” I say, feeling a little heat run to my cheeks.

“That would be just lovely,” she says.

We wait a couple of minutes in a comfortable silence, sharing some glances and smiles

The bus arrives and we get on... she sits right beside me...she smells like lavender

“My name is dodie,” she spoke up, looking at me with a small smirk

I look at her and can’t help but notice how kind her eyes are

“I’m y/n,” I say back...I decided to tell her how pretty her eyes are

“You have lovely eyes.” I tell her and blush a little looking down and wondering if what I said came off weird

Her cheeks get a bit red and she slightly giggles

“You are too sweet, thank you. I love your freckles.” she compliments me...and she said “love”

I smile and stare down at my lap, playing with my rainbow printed gloves

We arrive at our stop, she gets off first then I step off, she waits for me to lead the way

We step into the shop and her face lights up

“Wow oh my gosh it’s so darling in here,” she says and starts looking at all the plants and succulents

She walks around for a couple of minutes then brings a jade plant to the checkout

“Oh I love jade plants.” I tell her and we talk about how we both love the same types of plants and flowers

“Um I don’t want to over step or anything, but when you’re done with your shift would you want to get some tea with me?” She asks and nibbles at her lip nervously

“I would absolutely love to get some tea with you.” I say and try not to smile too wide

*time skip*

“Oh my god! I can’t believe you have a YouTube and everything! That’s amazing, and you are so very talented, I mean you are just so amazing.” I gush at her, watching her blush gives me butterflies

I take another sip of my tea as we just talk and walk down my street towards my apartment.

“Yeah it’s my dream and I’m living it, and you are amazing too, love.” She says and then all of a sudden stops in her tracks

I look back and frown a little

“What is it? Are you okay?” I ask concerned

“Can I tell you something and you not get upset?” She asks me, her eyes shifting to the floor

“Of course.” I say, waiting for her to tell me what she wants to tell me

“You are so lovely and when I saw you at the bus stop I was in complete awe... and I know it’s only been a few hours but I think I’m catching feelings for you and this has never happened to me before.” She says, moving a little closer to me

I turn red and look at her, smiling and moving even closer to her

“Ditto...” I say

She laughs and then her laugh turns to a little smile

She looks at me and then gently moves a strand of hair behind my ear

I look at her lips and think about how they feel and taste,

and in seconds I know how they feel and I know how they taste.

She’s gentle and I feel sparks in my hands and in my stomach.

She pulls away and I’m sad it’s over.

“You taste like raspberries...” she says a little breathless

I smile and furrow my brows

“Is that a bad thing?” I ask

“It’s a wonderful thing.” She says, I laugh and so does she.

Well I decided to try my hand at digital art - this was a picture of dodie clark i originally did with watercolors... I posted this on my tumblr a week ago, so I downloaded Krita and finally put my drawing tablet to use. First time ever doing digital art so I think it turned out pretty good XD the blending brush is my savior lol

It was pretty hard at first, but I think I’ve gotten the hang of some of the simpler tools!

i spent my homework time doing chemistry notes, studying for ap human, and pushing things off ‘till tomorrow. i don’t feel the greatest today, but i did get my dodie yellow “is it tho” hat and i’m insanely excited about it.

i hope everyone’s doing well! i’m almost done with 1/2 of freshman year!
