i think when he worked for alchamax, him and liv octavius were kinda like. frenemies? i guess?? as in, they were coworkers and whatnot but were also kinda friendly rivals! i think liv definitely didn’t care that much for jonathan though since she was the head scientist and had a lot of other stuff to worry about- i like to think jonathan thought they were best friends and liv barely knew his name LMAO i think if she and him ever were to reunite after his incident, they’d definitely be a lot closer, bonding over wanting to destroy spiderman LOL

he definitely, albeit very briefly, debated actually adopting a dalmatian after miles’ comment

he watched better call saul and loved it.. this is the most important spot headcanon.. to me

i think at some point while travelling through dimensions (possibly before going to mumbattan, which would definitely recontexualise that comment he makes about not recognising himself in the mirror) he discovered an alternate version of himself, one that was still human. and that fucked him up big time and made him sad <\3 breh idk

i like to think the reason human spot appears in the movie with both short and long hair is because, when he was working on the collider, it took up almost all of his time, leading to jonathan pulling a bunch of all nighters and neglecting himself a bit, leading to his hair and beard growing out! when his work on the collider eased up nearing its completion, he got a haircut

i love the idea that his face hole can’t. actually close so when he sleeps it’s just perpetually open LOL maybe it subtly grows and shrinks when he inhales and exhales or something like that snooorkk mimimimi

he listens to weezer and talking heads it’s the truth

he can’t cook at all he lives off of two minute noodles like a struggling university student

he loves puzzle games, he’s definitely at a ridiculously high level in candy crush, he was probably a zelda nerd when he was younger

ending sucks ass and i need to workshop it but that's the general idea. I think it would start off quite comedic like arghhh i put down my glasses half a century ago and now im a short sighted ghost ☹️ like the idea is their clothing is ghostly insofar its connected to them. you cant have a ghost-jacket so once the ghost takes its jacket off it stops existing and that would progressively turn a little more tragic when it becomes parts of themselves they forget. like when you walk so long your legs turn numb and you forget they exist. or when you catch a glimpse of your reflection in a mirror and are surprised to see you have a body. you have to be quiet for a long period of time and are scared you've lost your voice forever (idk if that one's universal tbh). i think the ending sucks because its too sentimental but the general idea is once they forget they're dead they're no longer dead, but they're also not alive so they just stop existing.

ok so davekat may TECHNICALLY be the most boring pairing in hs to many people, and that is totally valid and I get becoming annoyed/bored with it but? Seeing 2 guys who originally find each other insufferable at worst and fun to laugh at at best, slowly start to become friends while nobody payed attention is NICE OK!!! 2 guys whove set up emotional walls to protect themselves, only starting to let those fronts come down and open up and be genuine around each other in private is HEARTWARMING !!! Them unlearning deep-set issues and trauma and striving to become better only AFTER becoming friends with the other, BECAUSE they became friends with the other, makes me EMOTIONAL !!!

Like, Dave’s struggle with internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity, DIRECTLY MIRRORING Karkat’s struggle with quadrant confusion and ability to strictly fit any relationship into any one quadrant? Them sharing things with each other they usually keep hidden, or annoying and instigating tf out of the other cuz they find it fun, them holding hands and being happy just !!! MM-MM-MMMM the flavors are lichrillay melting on my tongue rn

this brings me to quadrants which btw davekat being strictly any one quadrant takes SO much of the interesting dynamic away from it! Karkat being confused and struggling to fit dave into any one box and getting frustrated bcs of it is IMPORTANT- him wanting to help dave out and feeling pity for him one minute, getting all flustered the next, and also having black feelings for him sometimes because GOD his “cool guy” persona can be so ANNOYING and he makes him so mad sometimes, sometimes even on PURPOSE!! Like either u have bleeding quadrant + vacillation( + feelings that cant be placed in any quadrant at all) davekat, or no davekat at all xoxo(obviously /j /lh this is my interpretation). Also I like to think that they try each other’s different kinds of dating -human dating and troll dating- and neither really works perfectly so they just create their own way yk? like, transcending quadrants and ignoring strict human relationship standards type deal

finally, and most importantly… I kin them both so seeing them happy together makes me happy amen
