Hi. Let me just reiterate personal experience here: LEAVING A TEAM CAN REALLY FUCK YOU UP depending on your life outside the sport. They were just a nightmare group of people who gathered once a week to find new ways to promote their club while putting down everyone else. Do you think any of Toh's characters will die? Like for example Hunter, Eda, Lilith or Raine

Honestly? No. I don't believe any of them are going to die. I'm almost certain of it. I mean, Belos is absolutely getting slaughtered and it's possible some side characters will be offed but characters like the main kids, Eda, Lilith and Raine, absolutely not. There is no way. Because I just don't think any of those deaths would be narratively satisfying.

There's a ton of reason why I don't think Eda will die, like how she's struggled through so much already. Her breakup with Raine, hurting her father, her estrangement from her sister. All direct results of her curse. But now? She has made great strides in embracing the owlbeast as a part of her, she's reunited with Raine, she's reconciled with Dell, she's adopted King as her son. Eda's arc has gradually branched out into a series of open paths, of things she had once lost finally being possible for her again. Like her story is not complete, its just finally turning in a more postive direction for her. Such a hopeful culmination of things is not gonna lead to her being killed off in the end.

Not to mention that Luz, Eda and King are the heart and soul of this show. It's always gonna come down to the three of them. So wouldn't it just feel wrong if, after everything they've been through together, they don't all come out of this alive? And if Eda dies, how would that effect them? Those kids would never ever be the same. That wouldn't feel right either, would it? A terrible ending for Eda is a terrible ending for them too because their stories are all intertwined. Like c'mon haven't they done ENOUGH to King? Now they gonna turn him into an orphan? Nah.

I suppose I could picture Lilith being the one to die but also I dont think she will. I'd find it a lot more tangible if it weren't for the season 1 finale. Lilith has already made her sacrifice, in sharing half the burden of Eda's curse. And then in Titan Where Art Thou, its shown that she's only now beginning to recognize the deep rooted effects of her cult indoctrination and the idea of therapy is tossed around.

Lilith is nowhere near full recovery. She still has so much left to learn. So I feel like the most logical and poignant ending for her would be to move on with her new historian life, begin to understand the extent of her trauma and learn to forgive herself, all while holding on to the consequence of her actions, as the owlbeast inside her will always be a reminder. Forgive but not forget. However, I do think Lilith will have an important role to play in the finale, probably for Eda's sake. I don't think Lilith will die but I'm pretty sure she's gonna put her life on the line.

There is so much about Raine that screams possible death, considering how they've dedicated themself to this rebellion and are willing to do anything to achieve their goal. Raine definitely has Selfless Hero Who Dies For A Cause vibes. But my main reason for believing that Raine will survive is like. You know Dana Terrace was treated like shit by Disney because of her efforts to include LGBT characters and relationships in her show, something that most likely led to them inevitably pulling the plug on it. So like. You really think she's gonna look at Raine, the first explicitly nonbinary character on Disney Channel and say "Yeah I'm gonna kill them." Get outta here. I absolutely do not believe in that "lgbt people should tell stories of lgbt characters having happy endings for the sake of being good representation." Idea at all. But like. In this case? It is a show for children. Raine's relationship with Eda is absolutely groundbreaking and I think Dana and the crew understand the impact a happy healthy bi trans relationship would be for kids to see.

Hunter? Like OH MY GOD. Hunter's death would be such godawful writing that I'm reeling just thinking about it. Remember the build up to Hollow Mind airing? Everyone was dreading it. We were SCARED because we knew what was going to happen. We knew Hunter was going to learn the truth. But like. Truthfully we were all shaking with excitement. We wanted this. We all knew that this was something Hunter needed to know, we understood that it was crucial to his story. And it absolutely tore everyone's heart out but it was a cathartic kind of tragedy, wasn't it? It wasn't just hurting Hunter for the hell of it. Hollow Mind meant something.

Would killing Hunter mean anything? Like anything at all? Ever since Hunting Palismen, it has been repeatedly established who Hunter is. A severely mistreated and brainwashed boy. But there was always so much hope for him. He was never perceived as a villain who needed a redemption arc, just an abused, love starved kid who needed someone to care about him. He has always wanted a future, he has always wanted to live.

What message would we learn from Hunter dying? That ultimately there was never any point in him attempting to escape his terrible life and build a new happy one from scratch because In the end, despite all his efforts to live, his abuser kills him? That Hunter was never supposed to break this violent cycle of grimwalkers and was always destined to meet the same fate? That his whole story was all for nothing? Man that sounds like an extremely shitty and cynical ending after everything he's gone through.

I think, at its core, Owl House has always been a story about family, hope, healing and deciding your own fate. All of the characters mentioned here have one or more of these themes woven into their arcs. I don't think killing any of them off would be in the spirit of what the show represents and I absolutely do not believe that TOH crew are going to take them away from us.

Please note I'm not trying to attack anyone I'm just kinda laying my feelings out.

I kinda wonder why I bother with Fandoms. I rarely act in any fandoms I'm hyperfixating over but for hazbin hotel I thought why not. But to the surprise of no one it is just like every other Fandom with backhanded comments always being tossed around. And most of it is centered around the character Alastor which I get but God it's giving me anxiety.

Like right now I'm seeing the a divide on the possibility of him having a kinship with the people of the hotel. Personally I think he does or more like did but he's going back to his roots of keeping everyone at an arms length and using them because of his defeat by the hands of Adam. But I personally think those feelings can resurface, but it's gonna be a battle to do so. But I am seeing a lot that people don't believe those feelings were ever there. He really is just a cold heartless bastard who has a God complex and is just mad he lost and that's it. And I feel like that is also correct. But I don't think that makes my hypothesis or how I feel I read the scene wrong? But I've seen people say "if you think this certain way then you are show illiterate and you don't know his character and IM the only one who understands him!" Like....OK? That's the beautiful thing about any piece of literature characters and scenes, anyone can interpret it in so may different ways and it doesn't make anyone wrong. So can't we all just have our own interpretation and just gush over it instead of scoffing at people who didn't see the same thing you saw?

As for shipping, that's a whole monster within its own. I personally don't think anyone is entitled to dictate what someone can and can't do with pixilated characters. I honestly very much understand that Alastor is a big deal considering he's aroace, and that doesn't get enough media representation. And I respect the hell out of it. But I'll also in the same breath say I'm a shipper. I love staticradio because I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers trope. In canon, I want Alastor to keep being the beautiful dick head he is that just has gossip tea parties with Rosie and just doesn't have those romantic or sexual urges. In fanon, though, anyone can really do what they want. I think as long as there aren't death threats or literal force being used to make the creator of the show force Alastor into a relationship I don't think theirs anything in fanon that should be taken seriously when canon is right there glaring everyone in the face. If people wanna keep the "relationship" one-sided? Awesome. If they want Alastor to smooch someone? Cool. They want him to rawdog or get raw dogged by someone. Hey, power to ya, just put it in the tags so people can steer clear of it if they don't wanna see that. I see many people saying it's erasure, but I just don't see how it's erasure when it's still there in canon. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can erase Alastor, who is a sassy aroace king. I can't say I don't understand the mentality, though. As a bisexual woman myself, I see fanfics where bi characters are labeled straight or lesbian/gay completely, ignoring that who they date doesn't make them, neither straight nor gay. It does sting and leave a bad taste but again they can say that, they can write all they want and if it's cathartic for them then ok more power to em because at the end of the day that character is still bisexual they didn't erase it. Usually, people are good at tagging, so if they do make them one way or the other, i dont read or look at the art. It's very easy to scroll down. Sometimes i see it repedidly, but that's what blacklisting is for too. There are many countermeasures. Plus, a lot of things are all in good fun or just canon divergence. People can be creative and play with different ideas. "What if a character was like that!?" "What if they do this!?" "What if this happened instead, and it changed their whole character!?" That's what's supposed to be fun about being in fandoms. Everyone is entitled to feel how they feel. You're allowed to not like something. But I don't think you're allowed to make other people feel like shit because they go against canon, or more precisely, against your views. I genuinely don't think anyone ever means disrespect. All they want to do is have fun and create along with like-minded individuals. You're allowed to not like something. Hell, I don't like Vox and Val together, and that shits canon, but that just means I ain't gonna actively seek it out. (I personally ship Valentino with a bug zapper.)

All in all I just want everyone to feel safe and just have fun because I've just seen so many people to scared, me included, to do anything in the Fandom in fear of getting attacked and that's mostly what's been really eating away at me. But at the end of the day, this IS the internet, and discourse is basically its bread and butter.

Like I said though this is mostly just a vent post but I wouldn't mind to hear others thoughts if you're willing. I know I just probably talked out of my ass for forever. At the end of the day we are just all apart of this silly little Fandom of silly little demon people and we should all just be having fun look at what we like, write/draw what we want. It's exhausting spending energy like anger and malice, we should just focus on the things that matter to us and the things we like and just enjoy it for however long the hyperfixation lasts. Nobody is wrong. Nobody is right. we are just creators or people on here to just escape for a little bit and connect with a show or characters that resonate with us.

Ok for a little background information i kinda like the idea of Doji being Masamune’s biological father but then him and Masamune’s mom decided to seperate because Masamune’s mom did not want to be involved in any of his things and didn’t want that kind of environment for her son. ( the reason why nobody ever suspects that doji and masamune are related is because masamune looks more like his mom than he does doji )

I decided to come up with a sort of idea for her when reading some fics that mentioned Masamune's mom but didn’t really go into much detail with her. I wanted to draw something to help me visualize her a lil better.

m pretty sure any one who take one glance at my profile ever can tell that i headcanon masamune has half filipino lmao so i headcanon his mom as from the Philippines 

Before the divorce, she and Masamune lived in Japan. Afterwards, they moved to the Philippines for 2-3 years. Then, they moved to the USA to link with relatives. 

Her nickname is JoyJoy !! the name is based off one of my relative’s names because i like it and always found it amusing. her real name? unsure tbh maybe Juanita. ( Masamune's full name is Masamune Oración Kadoya )

Her first language is bisaya, second tagalog, third japanese, fourth english

she’s the owner of a little filipino restaurant somewhere in the city Masamune lives in :D ( isn’t it new york city or something?? ) when Masamune was younger, he would stick around at the restaurant and help around with chores. (ALSO Masamune CAN cook... i said it in an earlier post but this mf is just too lazy to clean up so he doesn't cook regularly in his teen years).

JoyJoy also spends a lot of time around the general asian market places. Masamune would come along and he could speak both Japanese and Tag/Bis to the other kids and adults. He could surround himself in both of his cultures and others as well here.

earlier i said fuck it and decided that JoyJoy and the mom of my OC,  Acec, are cousins so that’s how Masamune and Acec are related. whenever masamune and acec were younger, they’d kinda be pushed aside with the other kids at the filo mom parties ( jesus christ they have so many parties,., im speaking from experience mine literally had a get together a few days ago )

For some funnies, i want to think JoyJoy didn’t agree to Masamune going on a trip to Japan to fight Ginga, but Masamune being the troublemaker that he is, decided to leave on his own accord….he could dodge the walis (broom) when he returned home. (he did not get hit, dont worry jsjsjdsjkjsdk). However he did get an earful when he returned.

(JoyJoy watched the tournaments and admittedly did enjoy them) (she probably disturbed neighbors with her cheers watching her son) (i imagine her cheering just like how my mom did whenever i used to play soccer, it’s very funny)

She’s always very joyful whenever Zeo and Toby come around, she’s very happy that Masamune has made some friends in America. When Masamune told her another friend would come over and join the group (King) she spent so much time cleaning the house and had full meals cooked when everyone got there. (if u come to a filipino’s house you WILL eat and you WILL be full and there will be extras to take home..)

For her role in Fury I don’t really have much at the moment. Though, the first thing she did when Masamune came home with all his clothes dirty and ripped was give him a short scold in tag/bis but then she sobbed because she was so afraid of what could have happened to her son.

Here’s the first drawings i did of her !! it’s very simple and barebones. honestly writing all of this out makes me want to draw her again, so maybe i’ll do that soon :) Masamune gets the white tips of his hair from her !!

There’s a lot of ideas and such about interactions and dynamics between JoyJoy and Masamune, and a lot of them about Masamune’s life surrounded by filo culture. Both positives and negatives (personal experiences 💀 i loveeee generational trauma /sarcasm) but anyways i love them and i love these headcanons i have they make me so happy. It also gives me some time to connect and express as much as i can to my Filipino heritage (other than food, customs, languages that i struggle with remembering lmfao, habits and mannerisms, etc) since i’ve lived in the USA most of my life. It makes me really happy.

Sexuality headcanon: i think rick is unlabled CURRENTLY because he just has bigger things to worry about than his own identity which. Gender headcanon: you made me like trans guy rick which is sort of evil of you if you ask me. but then again i love the concept of an evil scientist who transes their own gender. i dont think every single iteration of rick is transmasc or even male at all because there’s hypothetically infinite ricks but i think the one we follow in the show could be a trans guy. diversity loss.
