Standing on the rooftop of this bar in Madrid, your short hair blew in the cold air. Apparently it’s not just any bar, the bar is placed on a fire tower.
The sun was just about to set and you tried to keep your hair under control. „You know, I liked it more when it was long.“ Carlos looked at you with his big brown round eyes and it reminded you of a deer caught in a headlight.
„Oh really?“, you grinned. When you two first met you were only 12 years old, little best friend of Isa. You never taught you would one day stay on this roof top with her brother.
„Yeah, do you remember drinking in the parking lot? By the trail head? Yeah, I liked your hair that day.“
You felt heat rush to your head, you blamed it on the cold. „Okay, I can grow it out long, if you’d like that?“
You only just moved back to Madrid. Ida was supposed to pick you up from the airport but instead there stood a bright red Ferrari with not Isa but her brother Carlos instead. And he didn’t take you to his sisters, no he treated you to a drink on the fire tower.
Only the good die young was playing on the speakers.
„You know, I never understood what Billy Joel meant with those lyrics“, you thought out loud. „Didn’t you just study english literature?“ - „Yeah, and?“ Your eyebrows raised at him, silently questioning his thoughts.
„Like, aren’t you just supposed to know what he meant with his lyrics?“
„I mean, I have my own meaning, but it’s ridiculous.“ - „No, please tell me, because I always laugh at the lyrics“, Carlos said.
„I mean, obviously in the first verse he wants to have sex with virgin catholic girls. And ‚only the good die young‘ you can argue about that - young people who die didn’t deserve it, therefore they were good. Or old people aren’t good anymore, or many more.“
„Not ridiculous“, he smiled. „Huh?“ - „Your meaning of the song isn’t ridiculous, not in the slightest.“
You smiled, hard. Carlos was an interesting man and you wondered what more grew under that perfect skin of his.
„I think we are going to be good friends, Carlos“, you told him. „You think so?“, was his answer. You nodded and grinned at him.
Over the time you grew closer together, Carlos showed you parts of Madrid you only remembered vaguely from your childhood. But the distance of his job hurt more and more. You knew what a relationship with him meant. You knew only too good, heard Isa over the phone crying over missing her brother.
But the days he spent in between were the best you ever experienced.
„I want a big house out in the open. Where the sun always shines and all the light gets into the house!“, Carlos gushed. You were laying on the couch together and planned how your future would look like if money didn’t matter - not that it did anyway.
„Whys that?“, you asked him. „I don’t like the way my skin feels when it’s not shown on by the sun. I like the warmth, never liked the cold, brrr“, his arms snaked around your upper body and shook it like you were freezing.
Your laugh was heard throughout the apartment. Carlos grinned at you, his skin warming with the sound of your happiness.
„Why don’t you like the way your skin feels without the sun?“
„It makes me feel like I need to escape my own body. Like I don’t belong, it just feels wrong.“
„Well I hope you can escape your skin with me“, you smiled at the man you were falling more and more in love with.
But you still never went to a grand prix with him. And when he asked you why, you came up with a new excuse as not to.
You started to pick up more work, started to work over the weekends. You had less and less time to call Carlos over the weekend, making him question your feelings for him.
Until it happened. It happened on a Saturday at FP2. It was quickly over. You only heard about the incident the next day, as you wondered why Carlos didn’t start.
Isa called you. 48 seconds. That’s how long the phone call lasted. The news shattered your heart. Broken into millions of pieces. You couldn’t believe it, no, Isa was definitely playing pranks with you.
You fell, you fell deep into a hole. A hole you never knew you sighed it yourself. Deeper and deeper. Until Isa visited you. She brought you his clothes he still had at home. She brought his necklace that he was about to gift you. His initials graved into the back of the pendant.
But still, everyone who started talking about him being gone, you shut out. You shut them right out, because in your mind he was still alive, he was still racking and he was winning.
But the reality was none of that. And reality hit you, it hit you hard. His memorial was held at the end of the season. And Isa asked you to talk about him. You had to admit he was dead.
„I can’t do it, Isa.“ - „Please, you were his everything, he talked so much about you! Did you know he had been crushing on you since he was 16?“
„Did you set us up? The day you didn’t pick me up from the airport and instead sent him?“
Isa looked at you, just like Carlos had when he was caught doing something he shouldn’t have. This big brown eyes. Glistening with mischief - it was something that all of the Sainz family possessed.
„You caught me“, she shamelessly shrugged with her shoulders and smirked at you. „It was time? He was pining on you for so long, but you were away studying and he was so sad, I had to do it, it was his only chance!“
His memorial was beautiful, the whole grid present. Charles and Frédéric spoke about his time at Ferrari, Lando held a speech about their friendship and Isa sung a beautiful song. She still tried to convince you to speak, but you just couldn’t.
Isa and you still regularly talked to each other. She was doing good, better than her anyway. You almost never talked about Carlos. You weren’t bringing him up, neither did she.
The one thing Isa told you was: „Grief is just love letting go. It’s okay to let go.“
You almost cried - how could she say that like it was just spilled milk?
„Look at yourself, when’s the last time you cut your hair? You always kept it short, but now?“
You did visit him at his grave. Brought flowers and letters for him to read. Eventually you wrote a song. A song to remember him - Carlos‘ Song.
And one day you stood on a stage, at the bar they had their first date at and sung Carlos‘ Song.
Isa was there, smiling up at you and filming the whole thing. „I’m going to show it to my parents“, she smiled.
And you knew Carlos was smiling down on you and kept you alive.

Pairing: Modern!Tommy Shelby x reader
Summary: (Y/N) reflects on her time spent in the limelight. Although she left it all behind, she can't say she regrets stepping into it; for it brought her the one thing she loves the most.
Warnings: drinking, brief mention of a car crash

A/N: I think I can safely say that I throughly enjoy writing stories based off of songs I’ve never previously heard. This was a bunch of fun to write — thanks for assigning it to me, Isa! I decided to take the modern AU route for it….I hope you don’t mind. Enjoy! :)
A/N 2: this is based off of the song Wild At Heart by Lana Del Rey…I tried to weave some other elements of the song in. I didn’t use the lyric you chose verbatim because it didn’t fit with the speaking pattern, but I’ve got it in there.

(Y/N) raised her hand slightly, waving to the bartender to get his attention before she motioned to her empty glass, signaling that she wanted another drink. He nodded before getting right into making a second Jack and Coke for her. It was ready within seconds and she thanked him for it before bringing the glass up to her lips to take a sip.
She heard footsteps coming from behind her as she set the glass back down on the wooden bar top. Those footsteps led right up to the empty stool next to the one she was occupying. She kept her eyes fixed on the television hanging above the bar, sighing as she felt someone sit in the seat next to her.
The bar was nearly empty, which is why she decided to take up a temporary residence there, so the fact that someone would choose the seat right next to her confused, and slightly irked, her. She just wanted to be alone!
The voice that belonged to said person answered all of her questions. "Figured you'd be here." It was her fiancé.
"You finally figured out where I spend my Thursdays now," she responded, not yet looking over at him, even though she could feel that he was looking at her.
He chuckled at her statement, noticing the dry nature of it, and he called over the bartender; ordering some of the top shelf whiskey, before he spoke to her again, "couldn't stand waiting back at home?"
"No," she answered, shaking her head as she fixed her eyes on the glass in front of her, "mind gets the best of me there."
"Sorry work ran late..."
"It always runs late, Tommy," she cut him off, brushing off his apology before he even had the chance to finish it, "I know how it can get sometimes," she finally looked at him as she finished speaking, smiling slightly as she took in his appearance. If he wouldn't have said that he'd put in a full day's work, she wouldn't have thought that he did...how he could look so effortlessly attractive still blew her mind daily.
Tommy grimaced at her statement. Her 'late days' looked different than his, sure, but they were taxing all the same. "Still should have been home earlier for you," he didn't let the thought go.
"Let it go, Tommy," she dismissed him yet again.
"I don't like leaving my fiancée home, alone; to her own devices," he continued anyway.
"You make me sound like I'm crazy," she giggled slightly as she teased him. He was happy to see her smile.
"Aren't you?" he teasingly quipped back, making her fully turn to face him with wide eyes and her mouth gaped.
"Thomas!" she exclaimed in surprise, smacking his thigh as she tried to hold her façade up and keep back the laughter that was threatening to escape. He said nothing in response and just winked at her as she grumbled something along the lines of how if he wasn't so attractive, he'd ‘ve gotten an entire earful just then.
Silence returned as their laughs faded off, and (Y/N) turned her body back so that she was sitting properly on the stool once more. She picked up her drink and took a sip from it before setting it back down and deciding to occupy herself with spinning the glass around.
"How are you handling all of this?" Tommy spoke up after a few moments had passed, finally getting to asking what they'd been dancing around from the second (Y/N) realized he was sitting next to her.
She exhaled a sigh before speaking, "I'm handling it," she shrugged, "I...I'm happy to be away from all of it, you know."
"I wouldn't," he answered honestly, making her remember that there truly wouldn't be a Tommy Shelby if he didn't have his work, "but I'm happy you were able to get away before it got to be too much."
(Y/N) exhaled a sigh and nodded. She again began to wonder if she'd made the right choice. She'd spent her entire life wanting to create and share her music with vast audiences, and now she'd finally gotten the chance, she was backing away. The four years she'd spent in the business were catching up with her. She didn't like the other things that came with fame, and they were getting to be a bit much for her to handle. The part she loved had been essentially placed in the shadows of the camera flashes and the engagements that seemed to book up every hour of her day. It was too much to the point that she backed out of her record deal and moved out of the city, escaping the ashes that were starting to fall around her; before the ashes were all that was left.
"You're thinking again," Tommy cut into her thoughts, knowing that her mind was going a mile a minute by how she was staring absently at her glass.
"I am," she admitted dryly, seeing no need to lie. He could always see right through her anyway. She turned her head slightly, seeing that he was looking at her expectantly. "Was it the right move?" she then asked him the question that had been pestering her mind.
"Do you think that it was?" he flipped it back onto her.
"I'm asking you the question, Tommy!" she groaned, frustration flashing across her features.
"If you feel better now that you're away from it then I'd say 'yeah, it was the right move'," he gave his opinion, shrugging slightly.
"But I took you away from London," (Y/N) pointed out, a slight frown forming on her face. Tommy was a prominent businessman, and London was one of his major home bases.
"I've got a car, love," he brushed her statement off, flashing a grin in her direction. She shook her head slightly upon hearing his response, "I'm still able to do my work just fine from here...you were having a hard time doing anything in London," he pointed out then.
This was true. She really wasn't even able to leave their apartment with the aforementioned paparazzi always wanting to capture every little snippet of her life. The fact that there was an air of mystery around Tommy and his business dealings didn't help either. The 'famous musician dates business bad boy' headline was one the paps were always trying to sell, no matter how corny it sounded.
She couldn't leave Tommy though. No. The two years that she's spent with him have been the best of her life. So these serious talks of stepping out of the limelight began one evening after dinner when the incessant flashes caused her chauffeur to get into a minor car accident. Both (Y/N) and Tommy were fine, but she reached the breaking point. They decided to purchase a home and move out to the outskirts of London, where the paparazzi wouldn't find her. It was the reason why she was able to sit in this bar, alone, whenever she wanted to.
"Being stuck in that city was a lot," (Y/N) spoke on her thoughts after a few moments had passed. Tommy nodded in agreement with her as she took another sip from her glass. A momentary silence then fell around them as she turned to look over at him. He kept his gaze on her as she studied his face before dropping her eyes to her hands, looking at the engagement ring that was sparkling back at her. "You still love me, yeah?" she asked him then, her voice soft as she glanced up at him through her eyelashes.
"Course I do, love," he answered her like it was a no-brainer, his brows furrowed in confusion because he wondered why she would have asked this, "why would you question that?"
"Because I've stepped away from singing," she answered him, her voice still soft.
"You're more than just a pretty face on the stage for me, (Y/N)...way more," he told her, his eyes showing his seriousness. "You've stepped away from that, but you've not changed one bit. You're still...I love you because you're still wild at heart."
(Y/N) bashfully looked down at her lap as she heard what he had to say. She still wasn't used to him saying things like this. To have someone profess their love to her and actually mean it was something that she really wasn't used to; being in the circle she was.
"Have I made (Y/N) (Y/L/N), the woman who has something to say about everything, speechless?" Tommy questioned after a few silent seconds, a grin apparent in his voice.
"Oh shut it, Tommy," she said to him, knocking her knee against his as she looked up at him again. Seeing the smile on his face made hers break out from behind the glare she was trying to hold up.
"It seems as though I have," he stated smugly, making her roll her eyes at him.
She shook her head, looking him over again like she had before. "You know...if I had to do it all over again I would..." she trailed off, her words making Tommy's eyebrows raise in intrigue.
"You would?" he asked, surprised that she would say that, "why's that?"
(Y/N) cracked a smile before she laughed slightly. "Because, in the end it brought me here to you," she admitted, knowing full well how corny she probably sounded. Tommy cracked another grin as he chuckled slightly at her words; not because they were funny, but because they'd struck something inside of him.
He wasn't embarrassed to admit that he stuck around the club one night after she'd finished the set she was performing. Her voice had mesmerized him, and her beauty was something unlike he'd seen in his entire lifetime. She entertained him when she realized that he'd been waiting around for her, and that was when he really fell in love. It was safe to say that he’d never met anyone like her. He made it a point to go to the next few shows so that he'd get another chance to see her afterwards, and he hadn't stopped following her since.
"It's corny, I know," (Y/N) admitted to the cheesiness, "but it's true. I'd do it a thousand times over if it meant I got to meet, and be with, you." She was able to lean in closer to him due to the proximity of their stools, and she waited until her lips were just inches from his to speak again, "I love you, Tommy," she said, feeling the grin as it grew on his lips.
"I love you, (Y/N)," he repeated the sentiment, not allowing her a second to respond before he matched his lips with hers.
Their kiss was kept brief, and (Y/N) giggled as she pulled away, reaching up to wipe the smudge of lipstick from his bottom lip before anyone would notice. Tommy just grinned at her, managing to kiss her knuckles before she brought them away.
No one did notice though, which was another reason why she was grateful that she escaped the life that she was hurling herself into before it got to where she was in too deep. Now she was able to be the person she desired to be. The person that was, definitely, wild at heart.

AJR'S INERTIA ANIMATIC SCRIPT
this shit is LONG btw I'm so sorry. I am not artistically talented enough to make this a real thing, but I hope the writing is nice enough!
SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE GAME! SERIOUSLY!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION! cw for implied sui and sh!
[Opening “vocals” and instrumental have a rhythm similar to a ticking clock. Throughout this, a very high number will be rapidly decreasing in the background, with a clock ticking backwards - going back in time, dozens and dozens of loops ago.]
[MAL DU PAYS - just a single entity - stands in the center of the screen at the first vocal phrase, hovering similarly to Siffrin in the game over screen. On each repeated vocal, another MAL DU PAYS appears to the right, then to the left of the center entity, doing the same floating motion. When the vocals stretch and sound reverse, all entities of MAL DU PAYS will be thrown to the side like when Start Again is selected. It will then zoom in to the center entity—]
Inertia.
[—which will open its mouth as the first proper lyric comes in. It will zoom through the entity on the same beat, moving on from the scene.]
I've worn the same skinny jeans —
[Mira and Siffrin are talking as shown in the intro to Act 1, where she asks him if he's okay traveling with the party.]
— since I was fifteen.
[Siffrin smiles at Mira like we see in the same cutscene - he's never been happier!]
It's probably nothing.
[Mira looks at Siffrin with a concerned expression, and the screen fades to black.]
Inertia.
[MAL DU PAYS mouths the word again on the fade-to-black, and it zooms in once more to the next scene.]
[Similar to the cutscene in game, the scene pans down slowly from the top of the Favor Tree, showing Siffrin looking up towards it with his back turned towards the camera.]
My friends say they're quittin’ this week — to chase down their dreams.
[On beat with the song (¾ time signature, so every 3 beats), there will be slightly transparent scenes above Siffrin's head, like flashbacks - his friends are shown in the tree’s leaves, influencing his Wish. First it's Odile, who looks bored in the shop. Then Bonnie, who has their arms crossed over their chest, looking to the side sadly - they're thinking about their sister. Next is Mira, who has stars in her eyes, excited about what's to come next after their victory. And finally, Isa, who has one arm stretched out with the other hand gesturing towards his sleeve - showing off his fashion.]
They're probably bluffin’, but…
[The camera cuts to show a side profile of Siffrin, looking down at the leaf holding his Wish. He then lets go of the leaf and turns at the same time, as if the Wish he made wasn't that big of a deal. The screen once again fades to black.]
Don't you like it bigger, better —
[This sequence will have the scenes pop up, then slowly fade out, with the next scene popping up afterwards.]
[Siffrin and his party are eating happily in the Clocktower.]

[Siffrin and Isa are laying in bed, Isa looking embarrassed with a sheepish smile, while Siffrin simply looks curious.]

[The party looks up at the entrance to the House, their backs turned towards the camera, each of them holding their Orbs above their heads.]

[With the camera facing their fronts, the party walks through the entrance of the first main room, everyone looking in different directions curiously.]

[Siffrin hovers his hand over the star save point, the rest of his party, evenly divided, looking around his shoulders in confusion.]
I was gonna save the planet —
[The party enters the Death Corridor. Mira is grabbing Siffrin’s cloak with a distressed look on her face, while Siffrin is squinting at her with a cocky smirk. He’s the trap master, he’s got this! There’s nothing to worry about!]
— but today I’ve got plans.
[With the camera at the other end of the room - the exit - Siffrin is shown looking around one of the middle pillars. Mira is seen in the background with her hands together in front of her chest, looking anxious. Isa is watching Siffrin with a little smile, and Odile and Bonnie are in the opposite corner, Bonnie looking at the wall while Odile looks down at Bonnie.]
I guess this is just what I am.
[The camera cuts back to be by the party, only Siffrin being shown in the shot. He stands in the middle of the room with a big smile on his face, showing off a thumbs up. Everything is fine!]
[On the first beat to the three ticks of the instrumental, multiple scenes will pop up on screen similarly in style to the previous ones.]
[A massive rock appears above Siffrin’s head.]
[Siffrin wakes up in the meadow.]
[He sits up quickly, like he was waking up from a nightmare.]

[The lyrics will start during the last fade-out of Siffrin waking up. Once it does, MAL DU PAYS will zip across the screen in the darkness towards the right - coming back to the present time rather than going back. No more backstory. No more prologue. This is where the story starts.]

[Throughout this whole section, a counter will be in the corner, counting up with EVERY beat in the song. This is the loop count. The scenes will not change with every beat, signifying that Siffrin has experienced those exact moments in the same exact ways multiple times.]
[Siffrin, with his back turned towards the camera, is seen hitting the switch on the pillar, his allies looking towards the fallen rock behind them in shock.]
— I've lost all emotion, —
[Siffrin walks by some Tears with a tired expression, staring blankly forward towards the end of the hallway. His allies behind him look at the Tears curiously, but follow him anyway.]
— my two legs are broken —
[Siffrin is hunched over slightly, facing a locked door with his hand closed into a fist, resting it against the door. Mira behind him is holding a note - the note about the key in the classroom on Floor 2 - looking upset, while Isa and Odile stand at each of her sides, both looking as if they were trying to think of what to do. Only Bonnie is looking at Siffrin, their head tilted slightly at his shaking, angry demeanor.]
— but look at me dance!
[In the same room, the camera cuts to show the front of Siffrin, who turned just a little to face away from the door. With the other adults distracted, he fails to notice Bonnie, who looks at him with wide eyes as Siffrin holds his dagger. It’s pointed at his own stomach, and he has an exhausted smile on his face.]
An object in motion, —
[Siffrin and Mira are talking on the bench. Mira is looking at the bonding papers in her hands with a worried expression, while Siffrin sits with his eye closed, a big smile on his face.]
— don't ask where I'm going —
[Siffrin and Odile are in the woods, the familytale sitting on the ground between them. Odile is looking off to the side, her mouth open and her eyes tired as she talks about her mother, while Siffrin sits with his eye closed, a big smile on his face.]
— 'cause where I am goin' is —
[Siffrin and Bonnie are outside of Dormont, Siffrin standing just behind Bonnie as they look towards the right at a Sadness. Bonnie has their hands raised into shaking fists, while Siffrin stands back with his eye closed, a big smile on his face.]

[Siffrin and Isa are walking into the field. Isa is pointing up towards the stars, just ahead of them, and Siffrin is following him, their eye closed, a big smile on their face.]
[The short instrumental between the lyrics will show the others joining Siffrin and Isa for a picnic under the stars. They’re all laughing, smiling, eating…having a great time.]
Where I am goin’ is —
[It cuts to zoom in slightly on Siffrin, who is smiling and laughing along with his family members…]
— right where I am!
[...but then the screen will glitch, and while the others will continue their laughter, Siffrin will be looking away from them, appearing exhausted- no, guilty. He’s making them love him.]
[The screen fades to black.]

[MAL DU PLAYS will move to the left of the screen - looping again - and mouth the lyric.]
[The loop counter will stop temporarily. It should be at 72. Throughout this section, the counter will count up every 3 beats instead.]

[Isa and Mira are around a frozen housemaiden, Isa holding their partner’s half of a bonding earring with an excited expression. Mira appears to look the same, both of them fantasizing about the future reunion of the partners. Siffrin is in the background, staring blankly at their backs. His stare is noticeably more focused on Isa.]

Siffrin, once again to the side, is looking towards the bookshelf of romance novels, which sparked the conversation in the first place.]

[Odile opens her mouth as Mira playfully yells in her direction, Mira’s eyes squeezed shut - don’t tease her, madame! - while Bonnie starts laughing. Isa’s head is turned towards Siffrin. Siffrin has turned away from the others all together, his arms wrapped around himself. Isa looks concerned, but can’t say anything over the bickering.]
[The screen fades to black.]
Inertia.
[MAL DU PLAYS will move to the left of the screen - looping again - and mouth the lyric.]

[Now at the end, Siffrin is looking up towards Isa, waiting for him to confess. Isa looks shy, his hands in fists to his sides as he tries to gain the courage to say it. Just say it. Just say it. They’ve been waiting.]

[On beat with the counter in the corner, Isa will rapidly change positions, all of them looking hesitant and shy, while Siffrin remains completely still. The only thing changing is their smile - it keeps getting bigger, strained, forced. He never says it. He never will. They’ve heard this same thing so many times. Why won’t he just say it.]
Don't you like it bigger, better —
[Like before, this sequence will have the scenes pop up, then slowly fade out, with the next scene popping up afterwards.]
[The party is in the storage room on Floor 1. Siffrin is surrounded by the others, looking excited with a book in his hands. His allies, however, look confused. They can’t read that book.]

[Siffrin is holding the page of the article about the King, pointing towards the star on his armor. He looks deep in thought as he explains, the backs of his allies slightly in frame on each side.]

[Loop and Siffrin are sitting under the Favor Tree, Loop looking up with their hand pointing towards where their chin would be, appearing to be brainstorming. Siffrin’s back is towards the camera. He’s hunched over slightly, not bothering to look up at Loop.]

[The screen zooms in slightly on Loop, who has their eyes closed with nervous brows. Their hand is up and to the side slightly with relaxed fingers, as if they were asking a question. At this rate, isn’t it better this way, Stardust?]

[With his allies looking at the orrery in the background, Siffrin is staring down at the journal of someone attempting Wish Craft. His eye is wide, and his mouth is slightly open in awe, like he just discovered something incredible.]
[The following scenes will be in time with the counter.]
I was gonna save the planet, —
[Siffrin looks up enthusiastically at the Head Housemaiden, her back slightly in frame. It cuts to show her face afterwards, and has her hand over her mouth.]
— but today I’ve got plans…
[The Head Housemaiden lowers her hand, looking upset. It cuts to show the sides of both her and Siffrin, with the Head Housemaiden leaning down to bring their foreheads together.]
I guess this is just what I am!
[The counter will stop. It should be at 100.]
[The camera will shift slightly to show just a bit more of Siffrin’s distressed, heartbroken face rather than Euphrasie. She will be holding Siffrin’s face, tears streaming down her face, the pair surrounded by ghostly outlines of other Siffrins. The screen glitches out slightly. After 100 loops, it’s still not enough. He’s going back.]
[Here's a visual of how the counter would work:]
[The counter has to play catch-up at the start of the video, but this was tested multiple times with the same result.]

[With a darkened expression, Siffrin greets Mira, who looks concerned and confused. Why does he seem so angry?]

[Odile stares at Siffrin with wide eyes, watching him hand her the familytale while standing in front of the counter by the little girl. He looks annoyed, despite his enormous, painful smile. How did he know she had that?]
— my two legs are broken —
[Back turned towards the camera, Siffrin looks down at Bonnie, who is pointing up towards him and yelling at him with tears streaming down their cheeks. They’re holding their frying pan in their other hand, which is noticeably shaking from their grip. Why is he acting like this?]
— but look at me dance!
[Siffrin and Isa are standing in front of the Favor Tree, with Siffrin looking dismissive as they speak with a big smile, their eye to the side as if they were rolling it. Isa, however, looks very upset, and yet concerned at the same time. Where is all of this coming from so suddenly?]
An object in motion, —
[Back to the camera again, Siffrin points at Loop, seemingly yelling at them. Loop is looking away, their eyes and expression filled with guilt, with their hands up in mock defense. They knew. They knew the whole time and didn’t tell him. The loops are never going to end.]
— don't ask where I'm going —
[Siffrin can be seen barely in frame, hastily walking away from the tree. Loop is in the background peeking around the leaves, reaching for him with a worried expression. It’s too late. He’s off to prove his theory. It has to work. It has to.]
— 'cause where I am goin' is —
[In the hallway of the Clocktower, Siffrin is seen walking down a dark hallway, carrying all of the Orbs in his arms. The party can be seen in the background of another room, all in deep discussion about what to do, completely unaware of Siffrin’s intrusion and theft.]

[With the same exact spacing as the first shot in front of the House, signifying Siffrin being alone, he holds his arms up in the air. They’re empty, the Orbs floating about halfway up towards their spots in the massive door. He looks so small compared to it. But that doesn’t matter. He’s strong now. He’s so much stronger than he ever was before.]
[The short instrumental will show different scenes in time with the song, popping up and fading out before the next pops up*]
[Siffrin effortlessly slices through the first Sadness with his dagger. They’re nothing to him now.]
[Siffrin performs Rock Craft on a different Sadness.]
[Siffrin performs Paper Craft on a different Sadness.]
[Sadnesses run away from Siffrin as he travels down a hallway, his back to the camera. Wasting time. They’re wasting his time.]

[The party stands in front of the mirror, everyone looking surprised while Isa smiles brightly.]

[Siffrin is standing alone in the mirror. No one is here but him.]

[Siffrin slices through one of the crest Sadnesses.]
[The Traveler draws a big, bloody star in his arm with the shard of glass.]
[The Wanderer smashes the kitchen counter to pieces.]
[With the camera facing him from further in the room, The Lost One is seen in the doorway to the observatory, the table with the star chart and other objects in the room scattered, glitchy, and not in their proper spots.]

[Back turned towards the camera, The Lost One faces the observatory window - the Universe - and raises an arm above his head.]
— right where I am!
[The camera cuts to the front of The Lost One, and he lowers his arm across his body and takes a bow. The Universe is watching, and he knows it.]
Inertia!
[A vague, ghostly figure of The Researcher comes in from stage right, and The Lost One perks up in time to look towards her, still bowing towards the camera. The ghostly Researcher has red strings attached to her like a puppet, and the strings stretch to the top of the screen with no puppeteer in sight.]
I wanna move out of this town —
[The Lost One and The Researcher join hands, and gently spin around like a dance. In the background, there's a sketchy-lined flashback of Siffrin and Odile in the woods, with the familytale sitting between them on the ground, as seen in Acts 2-4.]
[Characters that are in the background/flashback will be italicized from now on to help further differentiate the two different scenes happening at the same time.]
— but everyone knows me —
[The background changes to show Odile grabbing Siffrin’s cloak as described in Act 5 - The Lost One turns his head away from the ghostly Researcher in time, their hands starting to slip out of each other's hold.]
— and packing is tiring.
[The background lines change to a red color before the flashback disappears, and The Lost One lets go of The Researcher’s hands in time, spinning away from her to return to the middle of the stage as she stands to the side, unmoving, facing the camera.]

[Similar in appearance to The Researcher, a ghostly figure of The Fighter comes in from stage left, The Lost One’s head being turned to face him as he enters. Like The Researcher, The Fighter also has red puppet strings.]
I said I would start workin’ out —
[The Lost One and the ghostly Fighter join hands, and The Fighter spins them around under his finger. The background shows a flashback of the pair laying in the grass like in Acts 2-4, but Siffrin is clearly looking at Isa instead of the stars. The flashback then changes to Siffrin and Isa in front of the Favor Tree, Isa’s hand raised forward like he was about to touch their shoulder.]

[After the spin, The Fighter and The Lost One stand close together like they were about to slow dance, their faces close together. In the flashback, Siffrin kisses Isa as seen in the Bad Touch event, but Isa pushes them away. At the same time, The Lost One looks up at the ghostly form of The Fighter, as if they were about to kiss him, but looks away instead.]

[Once again, the background lines change to a red color before the flashback disappears. The Lost One steps back out of the ghostly Fighter’s hold and returns to center stage, their arms around themself instead as The Fighter moves to stand next to The Researcher, unmoving, looking at the camera.]

[Prepared for what comes next this time, The Lost One holds out his arms to the sides, welcoming a ghostly Housemaiden entering stage right, and a ghostly Kid entering stage left. Like the others, The Housemaiden and The Kid have red strings attached to them like puppets.]
I wanna be big like my plans —
[The Kid watches as The Housemaiden and The Lost One join hands, spinning around in a big circle with their arms extended as far as possible. In the background, a flashback plays of Mira and Siffrin talking on the bench seen in Acts 2-4, with Mira looking a little distressed. After a big spin, The Housemaiden lets go of The Lost One, and sends him stumbling back into The Kid, who clings to him in a side hug as the ghostly Housemaiden seems to giggle. The flashback plays Bonnie and Siffrin hugging seen in Acts 2-4.]
— so why’m I so tiny —
[As The Lost One reaches around to return the hug, he flinches, and the flashback cuts from the hug to Bonnie reaching for Siffrin while being crushed in the King's hand.]

[The flashback shows Mira yelling at Siffrin who's sitting alone on the bench as seen in Act 5. The Kid steps back - The Lost One doesn’t like to be touched, after all - and The Housemaiden takes their hand, letting go of The Lost One’s and stepping to the opposite side of The Researcher and The Fighter. One final time, the background lines change to a red color before the flashback disappears.]
It's inertia!
[With the party members on each side of The Lost One, he faces the camera again, his hands gripping his hair with his mouth open, eye squeezed shut, like he just yelled something. A red-colored ripple effect will wave through the lineart at the shouted ‘inertia,’ starting at The Lost One and extending out at all angles to the screen edges.]
Guess this is just what I am!
[He looks towards The Researcher and The Fighter, who fade out and appear as MAL DU PAYS instead, then turns towards The Housemaiden and The Kid on the other beat, and they fade out into MAL DU PAYS as well.]
I'm stuck in this life —
[The camera spins around The Lost One to his side, and he looks up angrily at the window - the Universe - with a flash of red in his remaining eye, tears streaming down his cheek.]
— and I'm stuck in these pants!
[The camera makes a full turn around to show his opposite side, still facing the window, and he reels back his fist.]
[On beat to the cymbal crash of the instrumental, Siffrin punches and shatters the window, and it transitions similarly to if the player were entering a fight, revealing Siffrin towering over his friends like at the end of Act 5. It pans up slowly from the party’s backs, similarly to how the cutscene plays in game.]
[Several cuts can be seen of the party looking distressed at different angles, while Siffrin only continues to tower over them, noticeably shaking.]
[Eventually, it pans back up to Siffrin, who looks panicked, but then…]

[Siffrin will visibly take a big breath in, then flinch, a clock appearing in his eye - he feels a tug on his stomach.]

[On beat to the cymbal crash, Odile will stop Siffrin with her Paper move, the screen shaking slightly to emphasize the power of the Craft.]

[Everyone will look up towards Siffrin, crying out to him, asking what he Wished for.]

this is the part where they get together. they're off-balance. he's playing his own game and she's trying to make everything work together. this is the first time cracks begin to form within the croÿ ranks. this part of the playlist is a mixture of songs that are fairly dark. the most notable lyrics can be found in ' poison ': " we both know you're sweet and blind / palm struck on the floor // won't you let me poison your heart ? ". isa posted this part of the playlist years ago and it's here x.

this would be the post-break up era. their numerous conversations and arnauld's relentless bullying. the wounds were raw, incredibly so and arnauld had a need to show her the mistake she had made by cutting him so. fanni on the other hand struggled between feeling proud of her decision and knowing she had let go of more than just a person she loved: it was the opportunity to build a life outside of her family. both of them tormented each other just by existing. it was difficult to hate someone you loved. it was difficult to despise someone you had known so well. the sensitivity eventually made space for some sort of a relationship. they could hold conversations. they could blackmail each other and remind the other how deep their knowledge of the other went. the first two songs most certainly represent fanni and her struggles. in ' purge ' we get the lines: " you went anyway, but all of your chains / and ropes holding me stayed in place " and " every word you told me left such a rancid taste in my mouth / i can't purge you ". we had ' we used to laugh / 9 to 9 " on every edit back in 2019. it was such a perfect song for them at that time. " you said i won't ever leave your side no one else is worth my while no one else is worth my while were you like that all the time ? did you repeat this from 9 to 9 ? never come back never come back you put a hole in and opened up my heart put me down in my darkest dark we used to laugh we used to laugh " then we have the editors songs that got chosen for the darkness. arnauld was doing his best to get fanni to beg for forgiveness. the bitterness was felt constantly. ' liffey ' on the other hand is arnauld's realization that he's not in charge of himself or the situation. he is absolutely ruined and she holds far too much power — it's not just arnauld who knows secrets and ways to manipulate the other, fanni's just as capable !
ACT III: WHEN I LOSE MY HEAD, I LOSE MY SPINE

this part is about their healing journey. when the mind games stopped. when it was just two people. a fairly wholesome part in their story. they had affection for one another and perhaps for the first time they did not have some role to play. it was just friendship ( or at least as platonic a relationship as it could be between these two ). some codependency issues existed, of course. fanni needed a shoulder. arnauld liked being needed by her. ' late night talks ' is possibly the most spot on song in part iii. in it we get: " the phone rings / in the middle of the night / i can tell you're upset / i'm here / and i'm ready to work ". ' seabed ' is incredibly touching too and probably our favourite track. it's a good peek into fanni's fragile state of mind. " and you caught me off guard, and / i was never lonely / but now i'm feeling like an only child / let me sink into you arms / you're the ocean floor / i guess i just needed that ". the songs in this section are vulnerable and beautiful. ' lucky for you ' has a line that made it earn its spot: " and i'm not what i thought i would be without you ".
ACT IV: I'VE OUTGROWN THE PAST

this is the happily-ever-after part because they've been so sad for such a long time. we seriously considered not having them end up together but they deserve each other <3 <3 this section has love songs but we managed to sprinkle a few darker ones too because fanni and arnauld have never been simple and sweet. ' this love ' is probably the stand out song, it seems so fitting ! i mean c'mon: " this love is alive back from the dead / these hands had to let it go free, and / this love came back to me ". not to make things too cheesy though we have ' lights changing color ', which is by no means a negative song but it's more about staying out of one's head and, well, happy ! " when you find that the ones that keep you lifted / love them 'cause they keep you out of your head / they keep you out of your head / they keep you steady ". the songs are quite mellow and sound pretty fragile in a sense, save for a few tracks. the last two songs are more abstract. ' cosmic love ' is possibly one of the most beautiful songs on this playlist and to ever exist. i can see their devotion to each other growing into something blinding. this maybe relates to fanni more, she seems more likely to make love and her life with arnauld the only thing she surrounds herself with. there's just that and nothing else. but... arnauld is not too far from this state. he'll be able to reason with himself and he has his duties, but considering how recklessly he acts all things fanni... " i took the stars from my eyes and then i made a map / and knew that somehow i could find my way back / then i heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too / so i stayed in the darkness with you... " the playlist ends with ' shallows ' because it was so serene. serene and hauntingly beautiful. it's a sister-song to ' i will follow you into the dark '. when one parts from this world, will the other come find them when it's time ?

Sat in bed the teenager girl tossed her shoes away, with a irritated sigh leaving her. Isabelle took the yellow bow that held her brown hair in a low ponytail away crossing her arms with a frustrated pout.
“I wonder what he did this time.” Adeline says with amused expression and a softly sly chuckle, referring to the friend’s arranged fiancé, who would constantly get in her nerves. Isabelle kept her pout and bothered attitude up. “Oh, come on. Leona is bad, I know. But not that bad!” She hop up into Isabelle’s bed, taking off her shoes and placing them on the floor. “Come on, what is it?”
The deep sigh left Isabelle’s lungs as she looks into Adeline’s brown honey eyes. “Is just…” She moves her hands around as if them spoke for her awhile she tried to find the correct words. “Leona has come to be awfully annoying. Like, usually it would annoy me when he talked. But now, it’s only his presence that annoys me deeply! His words make a knot in my stomach and it gets harder to talk and I just want to punch him-“
“-Oh? Is that it?” Adeline raises her eyebrow, with the small smirk and curious look in her face, with that she had caught Isabelle’s attention to her next words. “Well, there might be a new feeling on you towards him.”
Adeline stands up with a small wink, waiting for Isabelle to understand.
“What are you implying…” The face goes from confusion, to shock, to angry. More to a denial type of anger. She immediately stands up ready to deny everything. “No! You don’t have the right to think I am starting to like Leona as something romantically!”
“When did I said that? Are you assuming what I said or admitting things about yourself? Maybe both?” Adeline’s wide grin stays there awhile her hands in her hips, leaning forward to stay in Isabelle’s level. As the girl just stay there quiet. “Oh, dear. It’s more than okay you feel that towards him.”
“No it’s not! I mean… He is Leona Kingscholar. Let’s be frank, Adeline. When he has ever take something serious?”
Raising her eyebrow Adeline catches immediately on Isabelle’s worries. “Ah, I see. You are considering he might not want you because of your constant bickering, isn’t that?”
Isabelle eyes travel to the floor, as she stays silent, giving her answer through the whisper of the air in the room. She didn’t had to answer, Adeline knew it, as always. “It’s new, quite alarming. I mean, me? Madame Kingscholar? Not even in my best nightmares!” Adeline chuckles of Isabelle’s choice of words. “Who would ever thought this could be?”
“Well, true, that he is no… Uhm… Prince Charming. But, you can’t deny it, Isa… There is something in him, that you didn’t saw before.”
Isabelle turns to the side hugging herself. Adeline’s places her hand in the girl’s shoulder like a caring old sister type of friend. “But do you recall? He was mean and he was coarse and unrefined! But after that night… He’s no longer just that… I mean, he will always and ever be this jerk and bastard, but now he's dear, and so unsure. I wonder why I didn't see that side of him before.”
“Yet…” Adeline makes her way to the window staring down their dorm, with head full of thoughts. “He wouldn’t change from night to day with you without a reason, would he?” She looks to Isabelle, but head still forward to the window.
“I don’t know, would he?”

DANELL THAT YOU??! jk jk but like. In the Housebroken I'm writing, Mirabel's wings come in after Antonio is born, but before the triplets get to them. And they were too scared to go into to town for help and too scared to get Julieta. Isabela and Dolores planned to get Julieta's food when they took Antonio, but for obvious reasons, had no time. Julieta gets to them soon after tho!!
BUT. In the time she wasn't there. They just had to wait for Mirabel to heal. Her scars kept reopening, and she kept getting sick too, her wounds got infected and she was not feeling good <\\33 literally bed ridden for like two months, poor girl 😭 She got so sick that the older 3 almost went to Julieta, but luckily Mirabel barely recovered. Julieta felt really bad after, and vowed to never let her mama get in the way of her daughters again ٩(•̀▽ •́)ง……

I'd like to turn the spotlight on my lovely friend, Isa, this week. She's the creative genius behind the recent Peaky x Lana Festival and some of my fave Tommy Shelby works. I first became aware of her talents when I stumbled upon her breathtaking moodboards which often combine lyrics by or photos of Lana del Rey (a perfect fit for Tommy's personality imo).
Isa has a wonderful eye for color and design which comes across in all the moodboards she presents. Much of her inspiration comes from music and I could sit and stare at her masterpieces for at least as long as it takes to finish the song one piece is based on! A few of my fave creations of hers: Tommy x Lana, Off to the Races, National Anthem.
Her fics are equally as inspired with enough intrigue in the first few paragraphs to draw the reader in and leave them wanting more when they've come to the end. I especially admire her poetic descriptions and the way she crafts complex relationships. Some of my fave fics of hers include Saudade, Perfect, So Go and Tell Him, Small Heath's Mud and Champagne and Strangers.

Why do you like Florence + The Machine?
Hello, lovely anon!
Woooooooooow, that's the question... Hm... From where to start even? My thoughts are really jumping up and down while trying to think about that. The main core of this answer will be shifted to Florence Welch only though among any other points... Ok, let's start with anything
I really admire the music chemistry that has been going on for many years between Isa, Flo and Rob. This is another great story of friends forming a great band. Even though the band underwent many changes past years and the latest album already didn't have Isa anymore, I still think that the current formation keeps on going strong live. I miss Isa and her huge music contribution to their albums now, ngl, but I'm happy that Florence herself keeps on exploring new fiends and is open to everything new.
Now that's the time of focusing on Flo only, sorry reader.
First of all, Florence Welch is one of the most influential figures in my life. Discovering some things about her personally made me feel much less alone with being that one little weirdo, made me realise how flaws can be beautiful not only in others but in me. I relate to the ways of delving myself into some other worlds thus dealing with the problems and if not then at least facing them. When I first discovered her lyrics I also felt like hiding myself into tons of metaphors and visions. With time I grew up actually together with her and by now I'm more straightforward, just like her lyrics. I love her artsy side, I relate to her overall aesthetic and what is funny my aesthetic shifted a bit just like hers. I used to be?/was? an art nerd and I could immediately catch a lot of the references she implied in her music videos, I love multidimensional aspect to her music videos and storytelling (a reason why I'm into Jonathan's lyrics-writing style, huh?). I did embrace my dark side, as it's what her lyrics teach. Because of Ceremonials I realised for the first time that I also contain multitudes and sides I was afraid or tabooed to discover about myself. That was in general a mind-opening experience. I am always inspired by the way she conquered her problems and stays strong. I absolutely adore her style and it's visible by the way I present myself. I basically started dealing with my awakwardly anxious feelings in public with trying to put "shields" like jewelry and doing the opposite to what I fear - being bright and noticeable. Her music is bold and powerful and that's something I aspire to be. And when it is fragile it still holds an incredible inner core: "You can still be strong and scary in a pink nightie". She's a real poet and I adore poetry since teenage years. And she's an outstanding performer. It's just her an lights and you have the most out-of-the-world witchy experience in your life. That's how much of a prominent presence the person can be.
Probably, I will wrap it up that Florence + the Machine and Florence herself are about everything I ever aspired to find in myself. And that's how I will end up this love letter lol

Okay, so after reading Awake Me From My Nightmare by @isa-ghost and rewatching Phil's VODs of Rose and the Ender King. And with the recent Lore of Phil possibly becoming possessed by the Ender King.
I can't get these songs out of my head!
Confrontation by Jekyll and Hyde (the musical). Seriously think about it! Phil's on the island he hears the Ender King speaking to him and when Phil asks where are you? The Ender King says right here and we Phil's face. How can we not get a nice music video of Phil and the Ender King going back and forth?
Ruthlessness by Epic the Musical (TikTok) I can't help it okay! Possessed!Phil and you see the purple eyes and the Purple streaks all over him (okay I got the idea from Obenious Bane!Centross from Fable SMP Season 1 but it fits this too perfectly!). He sees Fit or Missa or Bad or someone and he sees them do something to Chayanne and goes overboard and we see that "Phil" has completely "lost it" and that when the others realize, "Oh shit! Something happened to Phil!"

oh yes, that's the one! I was daydreaming about kanej based on this song and I had so much on my mind. From the "I can see you" being clearly related to Kaz seeing Inej even when she's hidden, in the shadows and all else to something where Inej is observing Kaz all night and wanting him but having to wait. And Kaz knowing all along and both of them teasing each other all night from a distance until they head back home. Or even them playing out everything literally the lyrics.
About taylor, I've never seen here, she never came here before and I didn't get the tickets for the eras tour :((( I'll be enjoying the discord live I guess. But it's so fun you got yo go to Fearless tour!
Oh, and can you share more about this piece you're writing for Inej's mom? That sounds exciting
Hmm, I’m keeping my current wip—it’s actually a prequel to ‘what a mother wants’—pretty close to my chest; in part because it’s still in the rough draft stages, and in part because it’s semi-inspired by a couple of stories from some of my tumblr/discord/ao3 friends I’ve met on here, so I’m particularly anxious to get this one right (…and, honestly, terrified that I won’t be able to).
Once I get the full and complete draft written (it’s currently about halfway done) I’ll probably beg @oneofthewednesdays to work her editing magic on my miserable scraps. 😂♥️
For now, though, I suppose I can share this one out-of-context snippet below the cut: 😉
She could not make out an expression behind the ornate jackal mask, yet Shanta could feel the weight of the fortune-teller’s gaze upon her. “You have not made it any less difficult on yourself, though, have you?” the woman finally said.
Shanta stiffened. “Did my mother tell you that as well?”
The woman clicked her tongue. “She did not have to, child. You carry the truth on your shoulders. You wear your pain like an armor.”
Although it stung her to admit, even internally, Shanta knew it was true. She could feel the stiffness in her shoulders, the muscles all strung up too tightly. It had become part of her nightly pre-performance routine to roll them back just before she stepped on the wire.
Mama and Isa had worn their grief on their faces, in the tearstains on their cheeks and the purple shadows beneath their eyes. Shanta had spent so long refusing to wear her grief that it seemed, now, to be wearing her.
She shrugged dismissively, as though it didn’t pinch every nerve in her neck to feign such nonchalance. “And what do you suggest I do instead?”
The fortune-teller leaned back on her rich ruby cushion, fixing her piercing gaze once more on Shanta. “Is that what you came here to ask me?”
“I didn’t come here to ask you anything,” Shanta bit. “I was summoned—”
“And yet you find yourself full of questions, now, don’t you?”

Cheers to 17- 18th!
35 minutes before my legality. It's ending already. I'm scared, excited, shaking, anxious, all at once. Pero sa pagkakataong ito, isa lang ang hinihiling ko: Maging masaya sa isa sa mga magiging highlight ng buhay ko.
*12AM, June 25*
Happy Birthday, L! Sabi ko last month pa lang bago matapos 'yung school year, magsusulat ako para sa mga natitirang oras ko as a 17-year-old girlie, e. (Tangina parang mamamatay na ako ah?) Anyway, ayon, dahil mas umiral pa rin talaga 'yung katamaran, ngayong after birthday ako nagsusulat. (O, 'di ba parang tanga lang.) Pero siguro mas pinili ko na lang 'to para mas ramdam.
Simulan muna natin sa naging emphasis ng buong 17th year ko. Ayon, grade 12 na ako. Senior. Seniorita as my last year as a highschool student. Honestly, 'di ko alam paano ipapaliwanag kasi sobrang mixed emotions and ang overwhelming ng lahat ng experiences. Siguro ano na lang, literal na kinabahan ako kasi noong g11 pa lang kami, like orientation pa lang ata no'n or patapos na 'yung school year, may kumausap sa'min na senior namin na dating Humanista rin. Binigyan kami ng heads ups, reminders, mga babala, and more on what to expect on our last year as SHS Tomasinos. Shockingly, nakinig ako sa mga sinabi niya and talagang naselyo siya sa utak ko. Edi nag-anticipate na ako ng mga mangyayari, I even prepared myself because one of the things or words that strucked me the most from the speaker that talked to us was, "Creative Writing" and "Creating Non-fiction" which are all about WRITING. OO, WRITING - my worst and most exciting fear.
Fast forward, nag full face-to-face na kami. For almost three years, naramdaman ko ulit yung pisikal na pagod sa pagcocommute mula Ugong hanggang Blessed- ay hanggang UST na pala. Pumikit lang ako, nasa dream school ko na ako nag-aaral- hanggang college! It still feels surreal. Daming ganaps for real to the point na I can't even list them all kasi super mixed emotions ng senior year ko, and the past half months ng buhay ko. Ano ulit? Super begging for attention na naman ako, nag-amfee moments na naman sa ibang tao na akala ko kinaganda ko na. Fuck. Nasanay lang siguro akong sumandal sa balikat ng mga tao. Naalala ko 'di ko pala puwedeng gawin 'yon sa lahat. Apologies.
Ano pa ba? Shet. Siguro 'yung umabot din ako sa buhay ko, for the first time in my life, na na-confuse ako sa orientation ko dahil sa isang tao. I mean, this is very inevitable and I'm not closing my doors sa pagiging gay, but I feel like hindi ko PA makita 'yung sarili ko sa same gender relationship. Maybe admiration lang talaga kaya ko.
Dami pa actually. Naging tanga sa pag-ibig na hanggang ngayon, fuck, when will I ever learn ba? Bigyan niyo na ako ng bago, 'yung mas better, 'yung mas deserve ko. EMZ. Uhm, playing 17 by Avril Lavigne non stop and setting it as "my song" kahit na I don't relate to most of its lyrics, basta ma-fit lang kasi nga 17 ako. Ewan. Masyado kong niromanticize pagiging 17 years old ko simply because ayaw kong mawala 'yung concept ng pagiging minor de edad ko. Well, the time's up and now I'm entering my adulting age.
Basta to summarize this all, I am really, and will be forever grateful for all the experiences, people, life lessons that I've learned in my 17th age and I'm really looking forward sa pag-uumpisa ng aking adulthood. I really hope that the next following years of my life treat me the way that I deserve, like what my one treasured friend said to me that made my heart touched and melt. I will really miss you.
Anyway, cheers to 18th, L! I really wish you all the best and please make good choices in life kasi tangina 'di ka pusa na merong siyam na buhay tulad nina Vivi and Hype. Bitch isa lang buhay mo. ISA LANG. Always aim for progress and please do not be hard on yourself anymore. I'm really begging and on my knees right now.
For the last time, Happy Birthday, L! Be happy. Be strong. Maging maganda palagi at ibalik ang alindog :)

I’m very very graphic, I can totally visualize some things as I’m writing, so I think sometimes I get too carried away and describe even the color of the tie 🤣 but I can’t help it now.
9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?
Love this question! There are a few things that help get inspired, sometimes is a song and I write the story around the video or the lyric, sometimes I go to watch over and over short clips of certain character, to get you know the mannerisms, the way the walk or move, tics, I like to call it get in the mood 😆 of the character. Oh! Another thing that helps like a lot, is the voice of the character so other times, I have a video or the movie playing in the background. :)
20) do you write in long sit-down sessions or in little spurts?
I would say, both. I always have my notes close so if I get an idea and I don’t have a lot of time I write the main event or a line so I won’t forget. I’m mostly a nocturnal animal 🤣🤣 so early I’m usually scrolling around and then past midnight I would start writing haha

I’m feeling extra sentimental this week…
I don't have a consistent writing playlist but I often like to listen to specific songs if I'm going for a certain feel. I've been writing a lot of angsty stuff lately and a song happened to come up. It reminded me of Flowerworks.
The song is in Tagalog and it’s called “Halik sa Hangin,” which translates to "a kiss in the wind." It's sung by one of my favorite singer/songwriters, Ebe Dancel--who wrote straightforward, but still beautifully poetic and angsty lyrics that I basked in when I was in college.
The song talks about a love affair that had come and gone so quickly, it's as if one was...kissing the wind.
This also reminds me of that idiom, "throwing caution to the wind," which in some ways is also reflective of the story's theme.

So this sums up the aftermath of her mother's death as she remembers everything shattering around her metaphorically and literally. It brought out the broken promises from her father, the screaming matches she's certain someone can find with magic, being locked in essentially a gilded fortress, and anything she said about her future being met with shut up stop daydreaming and face reality. The way she remembers it was her father was replaced with a cold tyrant who's words can't be trust and just how much she lost from that change. It was the long term catalyst for why she runaway as she held to her mom's advice/world view like a life raft. I could write so much more on this.

So the veil of Isa's mental health is coming off here. She views herself sorta as a ghost who exists between the living and the dead as she's using alliases but is still Isadora Lunelis who people think is dead because of how suspicious her disappearance was. She struggles with the ideas of believing she'll ultimately be alone again, the duality of balancing who she is vs who she's pretending to be, and if fighting is a waste of her time as it's been about a decade of running from her father she's exhausted.

She's always coming to people's rescue and fighting for her beliefs. She's also willing to use her highest spell slot on you to keep people she's saving or her friends safe. Second one is because she's very much chaos/wild magic to the point it is just her

She just assumed Clairice was out of her league because of self depreciation with things like I'm just a runaway noble I have nothing to offer her she hasn't stolen for herself already. Also Isa is really bad at telling when she has an actual crush vs she just thinks they're hot, this wasn't helped by Clairice unintentionally shattering her internal gauge the first time she called her princess.

This probably would be against the elder brain but it's good for every fight. It just inspired you to jump off a dragon into battle. It just vibes with Isa's idea of combat music being inspiring. If I was meming I'd say Carmelldansen

It's an instrumental so no lyrics to pinpoint to but for Isadora it fits as it starts off sounding more somber before it swells. It just captures the feeling of being free but not erasing the pain that got you to this point.

Review of “We Bow” - Gungor [Music Review Commission]
“We Bow” is a wondrous dive into folk/pop fusion, with sentimental spiritual lyricism which flows with an effortless uplifting melodic intuitiveness throughout the trio of harmonising vocals. 
The song feels as if its harking back to Christian folk hymns such as ‘Will the Circle be Unbroken’, and embodies these emotive beats in its opening. The voice of Gungor enters the iconic, and stripped back arrangement, which evidently doesn’t need too much complication in order to convey its message. This is when the song takes on its role of being a modern production, highlighting its pop elements through its pulsing bass drum, and the euphoric synth and vocal breakdown towards the end of the track. 
The theme of the music is reflecting the act of bowing. Gungor’s trip to Japan supposedly influences the motivations behind the songwriting here, and the act of respect that bowing symbolises. The songwriting aims to convey this in its chorus, with its ascending main melody line guiding the listener to feel as if they themselves are being towered over by a majestic force, successfully bringing into frame the hypothetical size of the force that demands the respectful bow. This theme is, however, clouded by the heavy Christian overtones of the song. Gungor’s lyrics are strongly referencing the traditional Christmas story by alluding to shepherds, mangers, and God Himself. The contradictory efforts to describe the influences of the respect that run through the veins of Japan’s hierarchical society by writing about Western Christian values make this message unclear. This is further clouded by the apparent references to the ‘mystery of existence’, whereas the song is very evidently pushing creation theory, detracting from the sense of mystery. Saying that, it IS fitting in terms of a typical Christian Christmas song, and the harmonies are fitting in terms of creating an atmosphere of mysticism. 
The production of this track is excellent. It’s an absolute joy to listen to, with the panned vocal harmonies feeling as though the three voices are destined to be joined together. The soft breathy vocals of Gungor being paired with the dynamic ranges of Isa Ma, and Astyn Turr cutting through the mix of instruments as though they were a hot knife through butter. Their distinct, yet complementary vocal styles generously add interest to the entirety of the song. Hearing the layers of strummed strings throughout never gets boring, with the large range of dynamics and fading different stringed instruments throughout to increase and decrease intensity. It’s also worth noting the interspersed piano, giving the chorus a distinctive ‘lo-fi’ feeling, when paired with the percussion, and it’s certainly worth mentioning the strings that lift this grounded folk sound into a strong sense of ‘majesty’ that Gungor is contemplating.  Its folk influences and pop elements combine in a way to create a distinctive atmosphere of high listenability, mysticism, and subdued awe. 
You should certainly give this track a listen, and bathe yourself in the cathartic sounds of Gungor’s latest music. Although thematically flawed, it doesn’t detract from fundamental reflections and their atmospheric results.

It was thanks to Luisa and Camilo’s idea to pass letters in order to keep it a secret from her.
