The Gangs all here! From left to right we got Levraut, Colette, Tangy (lower) Ishi’li (upper), Mochiie, Tuesday, and Chuusday. This was a little mind melting to work out with so many actors, and wanting to capture a bit of everyone’s general energy in so doing even if some of these guys never actually interact XD

Lev has like -6 rizz but on purpose, he thinks flirting with women is A Manly Thing To Do and getting to second or even first base isn’t even the goal. Colette isn’t giving a singular fuck and claiming space, and also making sure Tangy isn’t flashing everybody her shorts. Tangy is delighted to be here with all her friends, Ishi is thriving, her skin is clear, crops watered, etc. peace sign! Mochi is feelin a lil overwhelmed but trying to look nice for the camera, Tuesday is vibing and mentally planning dinner while trying to look nice for the camera no matter what else is going on, and Chuu is pondering the immortality cycle of the crab.

The adventure involving swords, blood and gold may be over, but the one with your new-found friends has only just begun. Home, once dull and boring is now alight with laughter and joy as you find love in the little things. You love your friends and your friends love you.

Fairly accurate I’d say! After EW I think Ishi settles down for a little bit with Kizuna, for a (somewhat forced by Ishi) vacation from being in the worlds spotlight (they cultivate an Island Sanctuary together with minimal Mammets uwu) but I think they’re both too restless and prone to wanderlust to fully retire from adventuring lmfao. After all, Kizuna is still drawn to helping and saving people, and evil/trouble isn’t going to take a vacation either.

Though they’d both probably love the chance to go back to being no-name nobodies, doing small scale low-stakes quests… something less stressful than the fate of the shard hanging in the balance maybe…

Anyway! What do they do to pass time during long journeys?

The mood of the century. Why make it so clickable. Tappable. Whatever. I’ve used desktop lately and they’re like “HERES YOUR BIGGEST FANS. UNFOLLOW THEM NOW.” Like…… help…

Anyways the vibes(™) dictate this is real WoL hours, so. Ishi’li travels on foot/Chocobo more often than not because their companion (the Main WoL/their co-wol - husbands wolc, I swear I’m gonna pose him sometime this year, prommyfr) gets Aethersick (yknow, when you teleport to Thav and everybodies like EUUURGH… that, but every time.)

So they’ve passed the time with

-bitching about the Company Of Heroes (two weeks of running back and forth across Eorzea, bitching the whole time about how this shit is all for a banquet, TO CELEBRATE THEM, FOR SOME REASON, and there’s a Primal, like, LOOSE?)

-Singing popular songs (Ishi does it not.. always well… but it’s the heart that counts right?)

Aaand.. honestly sometimes I think they spend a lot of time trying to decide what to make for dinner that evening, or where a good place to let the ‘Bo’s rest is, if it’s not a Pressing Mission, which, let’s be real, after ARR? Everything feels pressing. So conversation tends to turn towards plans for when they get there…

(If Ishi isn’t having to steer/ride they’d like to have something to fiddle with their hands, a puzzle cube, or a math puzzle like Sudoku, tho I dunno if Eorzea would HAVE sudoku… it’s the kind of thing they enjoy lmao)

I had actually intended to do Miqo’march but I got two days done, last steam, couldn’t think of captions, and ended up never posting them 🤦‍♂️

So have Ishi looking more like an apple salesman than a WoL (use code Ishi for 20 Gil off your first apples subscription !) and him realizing he won the Cactpot, bought a house in the Lavender Beds, and then used a huge chunk of that fortune to build it to some weird exacting needs (the Co-WoL being like 8 ft tall meant things needed to be very. In honor of Miqo March heres Ishi

[Spoilers in text for Post ARR]

After Moenbrydas abrupt sacrifice it was kinda a huge hit to his mental health, he fell back on bad habits (drinking, gambling, retail therapy) to try and drown his feelings out (without much success really) and ended up pushing away his dearest friend at the time who was ALSO trying to cope with Moenbrydas death but ALSO the loss of G’Raha (Ishi didn’t do Crystal Towers, he was drinking and Gambling. Kizuna did it without him because his way of coping with grief was to throw himself into More Tasks)

Ishi ends up buying 1 (one) jumbo cactpot ticket on a whim and ends up actually Winning the whole kitkaboodle much to his shock (he’d been on a lucky streak but he hadn’t expected to WIN)

Which is actually what shakes him free of his depression long enough to think about the future again :T because I know in game MGP =/= Gil, but I feel like canon lore is MGP=Gil like in actual casinos :/ so he comes into a Ton Of Money all at once and uses that to. Buy a house. (Lucky bastard won the gamble on the housing lottery too and that’s why HE HAS A HOUSE AND CHUU DOESN’T WOOPS LOL. I didn’t realize you couldn’t have more than one house per world at the time 🤪 it’s ok that’s what Makeplace is for. My horrible house decor habits for character development can continue)

What was the worst advice your OC has ever received on the subject of love and relationships?

While fretting on how to get THE warrior of light (Kizuna) to notice him (who, might I say, is also a bonafide warrior of light), the advice given to Ishi by his then-Mentor in Astrologian Magic, Talia was

“Strip naked in front of him, and it’ll give him the hots for you. Works every time for me.”

Unfortunately, Kizuna is dense as a sack of rocks and does not understand why his traveling companion and co-WoL is constantly finding excuses to be naked around him. It’s very distracting (because Ishi is, in fact, attractive, and he does, in fact, like Ishi) but neither of them is making the first move because they’re both worried about making their friendship awkward/impossible when they both need to be working together to. Yknow. Defeat primals/Protect the Star.

Chuu once got the advice, unprompted from Nero, to occasionally start arguments with Talia (her girlfriend) to test their relationship and make sure it was ‘going to last.’ Chuu rolled her eyes and asked how that worked out for him, and then kept right at what she was doing (prodding at an old non-functional allagan console to try and pry some finicky component out of it)

Ishi’s whole identity is a straight up lie from the start. A badly told lie, in some cases, but a lie nevertheless. Somewhere in early ARR he finds out he doesn’t.. actually have to keep up this charade of being the son who died in Cartenau. But he’ll still lie, if he thinks it’s for the best. Especially, almost always, about his real origins. It’s simply strange, and he’d rather not try to explain something even he’s not sure of, lmfao. Lies sort of fall out of his arsenal for other things by Stormblood though; it only takes seeing Urianger’s convoluted plots 1 time for them to kinda, decide there’s precious few people he’d find any benefit in lying to.

And then Stormblood actually happens and he finds good reason to lie about certain things again because the warrior of light needs to Be Ok and Fight Two Wars but yk yk

[the short of his situation is he’s. An Isekai from modern day 2020 Japan, his soul dumped into the body of Ishi’li Jusumhi, who died/was dying in the battle of Cartenau. So he wakes up on the battlefield baffled as hell and gets to find out real time he has a family who is chalking up his oddities to ptsd and amnesia]
