بسم الله This particular Surah (chapter) was brought down when the Prophet (PBUH) was going through his own personal struggles and difficulties. SubhanaAllah, verses 5-6 were revealed to comfort and reassure the Prophet (PBUH). The verses literally state that WITH hardship is ease. And this statement isn’t only mentioned once, NO, it’s repeated twice. In our daily life, when we want to comfort someone we typically repeat phrases like “it’s okay, it’s going to be okay”. These two verses remind us that we are going to face hardships, maybe you’re facing one right now. Be that you’re struggling to find a job, you’re struggling to have children, you’re struggling to keep on living. But the verses remind us that with these hardships are ease. We have online job markets, there’s other ways to have children, there’s family/friends/therapy to help us along the way. There’s faith in God, that whatever hardship comes our way, we will be blessed with the ease to overcome it. The Virtue of Adam over the Angels Allah stated the virtue of Adam above the angels, because He taught Adam, rather than them, the names of everything. This occurred after they prostrated to him. This discussion precedes that event here, only to show the importance of his position, and the absence of the angels' knowledge about creating the Khalifah when they asked about it. So Allah informed the angels that He knows what they do not know, and then He mentioned this to show them Adam's superiority over them in knowledge. Allah said ,وَعَلَّمَ ءَادَمَ الأَسْمَآءَ كُلَّهَا (And He taught Adam all the names (of everything)).
