Yugioh S4 Ep 24: Someone Actually Called the Cops.

So recently I was like, “I should do something different than my usual” and I decided to open up a little thread for critiquing ppl’s short stories, and I kid you not, the very first story I got was someone’s Seto Kaiba erotica. Which, even in erotica form, did not have very much romance in it. So, now that Yugioh will apparently haunt my every waking move forever until I die, lets get back to S4. Lets desperately get back to canon. I miss canon.

Last we left off, Kaiba lost KaibaCorp...again. Really feels like he loses this company once every couple of years (weeks if we count season 1-3). Except, this time, Dartz didn’t read the fine print in the legal files that says the company must be run by a member of the Kaiba family. While that was a huge plot point with Pegasus, turns out that Seto and Mokuba’s memories have been blended so thoroughly, like a very fine Shadow Realm smoothie, that they just...forgot.

And like I’m positive that Roland remembers, but Roland’s not gonna say something and accidentally reveal he’s the 4th Kaiba brother and have to get abducted all the time and actually work for a living. Anyways, they forgot why Pegasus abducted them in the first place in Season 1, and honestly, so did the writers of this season 4 years later. Not like it mattered, because if Seto and Mokuba did take Dartz to court, the world would end before their case would even start.

Which is how, after one talk with Roland, Seto and Mokuba just sort of laid prone on the metaphorical ground and let it wash over them that yes, KaibaCorp is gone.

Both members of Kaiba’s Sunglasses Army decided to align themselves with Kaiba, although honestly, I don’t think anyone else in this company has realized that they’ve been bought. It happened...1 hour ago. Like what do you even do if your company randomly gets bought in the middle of a workday? Like no lead up, no indication, just BAM you’ve been bought?

And if Duke works for Pegasus who got bought out by Dartz and then Dartz bought Kaiba Corp-------What does that make Duke? Is he gonna have to start wearing sunglasses inside?

Anyway, Roland knows better than to tell Seto Kaiba he doesn’t work for him anymore while still in the same helicopter as Seto Kaiba, who already crashed one plane today and will crash yet another plane before this episode is through.

Seto decides to align with Yugi since he needs to confront Dartz eventually. Which is when we find out that Seto always planned to align with Yugi and was just giving him a really hard time.

Because over the last several episodes, Seto has had an entire team at this random museum in Florida in order to take some pictures (that really should have already been on the internet but wtv, it was 2003 so maybe it wasn’t?)

It’s like most of the way through s4 and the biker ninjas still send me. How did he make SO MANY biker ninjas? At what point was Dartz like...and now...all my mooks...will be ninja bikers. Or orcs. Mostly Ninja bikers.

Did Alister or the others ever tell him “hey, Master Dartz, I get that your 10000 years old but like...do you not understand what a biker is?” and was Dartz like

“clearly bikers are the most evil thing in the world, obviously.” completely unaware that most bikers are just 45 year old accountants.

In these scenes we also get a gander at their laptops and, if you ever want to see high level life crippling OCD anxiety in picture form, it’s illustrated very clearly right here:

Not only did they draw this keyboard in 1 pt perspective, they used like a ruler to draw all those letters so they were the same size. Some artist put so much time getting this nice and crisp and smooth...and then this happened.

And I’m pretty sure they died after that. I’m pretty sure this scene killed an artist.

It’s at this point that Yami kinda puts two and two together and was like “WE BOUGHT PLANE TICKET’S, YOU ASSHOLES.”

(It’s been such a long time since we’ve seen Mokuba smile like this, and it’s because he’s been hiding the fact for So Many Episodes that he and his brother prepped like hours ago to get this huge dunk on the rest of the party. He just wants to dunk on them so bad. Look at him. His company was bought today. BUT he gets to spend time with his bro dunking.)

Serious question, will Delta refund your flight if the Great Leviathan appears in the sky and tries to eat your soul to reboot the world from the ground up?

Of course not. They will never refund your flight. Trick question.

We switch back over to Rebecca and Duke, who have been absent from this show for so long, I actually forgot what Duke’s name was and had to think for like...5 entire minutes until I remembered that his nickname sounds like a poop and I was like “oh man, what name of poop would it be???” and then I recalled “Dookie. Yes. His name is literally Dookie. Wow that took way too long!”

Then we start a story arc I’d to call “My Kingdom For a Sharpen Filter” where, much like King Lear, the Yugi crew splays themselves on a battle field just strewn with different ways to sharpen an image, but can’t for the life of them use any other one, but the one deep in the heart of what is now DartzCorp.

And so yes, we are going to fly to San Fransisco, hop into ye Olde KaibaCorp, and log into proto-Noah in order to read a language that Arthur Hawkins can already read.

This is nonsense, but they put it there because it’s something to do. And honestly, it’s not a card game, so I’m down for this change-up. Lets go visit a version of Noah’s brain. At least they won’t drop an orichalcos for the 12th episode in a row.

On the way, Seto decides to try and egg on Yugi.

This backfires as you expect it will because Yami doesn’t freakin care. Like he’s not Yugi, he doesn’t care who the King of Games is, he harnesses freakin Dark Magic. The Wizard never cares if he’s King Arthur or not, and in fact, he probably prefers it....

..................Except in that spinoff where they had Yugi as a reincarnation of King Henry VII.

...................................................never mind.

And then Seto Kaiba says this actual line and I just...

WH.

WHHH

WHAT?

This entire show is just watching Yugi desperately cling to his scary ass hobbies. The tagline of Yugioh is “1001 reasons to go back to school and get a real job.”

What does Kaiba think Yugi does when he’s not around? Does he actually think Yugi attends school or sleeps at night or works an actual job? Like...he thinks Yugi has...NO HOBBIES.

Very interesting insight into what Seto considers a hobby and not hobby.

Especially since this Yami, who spends most of his spare time farting around his scary ass brain castle and getting lost. Occasionally he is forced on a date with Tea and wipes minds. That’s it. That’s all the things Yami does outside of hobbies.

Anyway, what is Dartz doing during all of this?

After this, Dartz pulls back the literal curtains on this room to reveal these candles that each hold the soul of someone he’s murdered.

There are not NEARLY enough candles for this segment.

A very brave man to have candles littered on the floor when his hair is down to his ass and all of his mooks have floorduster coats.

I really want to know what the local arts and crafts store thought when Dartz strode in there and bought every single tiny styrafoam skull during the Halloween sale and was like “can I put souls in these? You sell the kind I can put souls in, right?” and then immediately pulled out like a dozen 50% off coupons like a complete asshole.

Anyway, using this candle hocus pocus, Dartz uses the Orichalcos powers to take advantage of something Yugi did in the first episode. We distantly recall there was a giant eyeball in the sky--turns out if you bust up the eyeball with, lets say, a card that has a dragon on it, the eyeball will explode into many tiny Orichalcos pieces that will fall all over planet Earth.

So apparently Yugi didn’t save anyone at all when he busted that eyeball, because he instead set in motion Dartz’ evil plan to eventually use these many tiny Orichalcos pieces like the one seen here, to kill the hell out of people.

Good job, Yugi. Too bad you missed the Actual Bakura.

In fact, actual Bakura is probably the only one who survived this incident because I guarantee that Ryou Bakura is too busy eating all the contents of his fridge out of stress. He’s probably opened his window at this point, seen the crazy lights in the sky and in the street and was like  “Blooooooody nope nopenopenopenopenope” and just locked the windows and doors, turned up Hercule Poirot to max volume, and stuffed his face with cookies.

(Or biscuits, I guess.)

WELL.

I don’t know how to tally that.

Yugioh not only broke the tally I was using to measure the distance they spent commuting this season, it also broke the tally on the amount of people who have died on this children’s show.

That’s a really big number.

We’ve had real duel monsters for a couple weeks but youknow...this time they’re extra, extra, extra real. More so than the last times. Also they’re all Orichalcos versions of their cards so their extra edge now. They’re the hot topic versions of what were already pretty hot-topic ass cards.

MMM. We come full circle, back at a dock, a warehouse, and some huge ass boat.

Right where we belong. Where all friends meet, where we can all finally be one.

Yugioh found one of the only cities that has a very famous and tourist heavy pier/warehouse district in it just so the Yugi gang could finally feel comfortable in their natural habitat. HOWEVER, there’s just one tiny problem in this scene, and it’s that it’s not overlaid with the actual soundscape of a SF pier, which is that of 100000 screaming seals

I don’t have a seal problem, you have a seal problem.

Anyway, the only healthy adults here attempt to follow the children into danger but someone on the animation team was like “we just lost the keyboard drawing guy to that capslock! We cannot lose any more interns to a crowd scene with 9 people in it and 2 dead bodies!” and they uh...

And we immediately eject Roland and whoever that weird sunglasses guy is out of the script. Mokuba gave them a longing glance as they helicoptered away. Maybe because he missed his Dad stand-ins that he went through such efforts to call in the first place. Or more likely, because Mokuba would have preferred to be on that helicopter and far away from whatever the hell is going to go down on this dock.

Honestly the rest of Joey’s storyline this episode is him going rogue because of Mai rage, and it both comes out of nowhere and also seems very on point for him.

Meanwhile, Rebecca’s unbridled rage towards Yami Muto is still low key hilarious to me.

Witness the only character here who thinks Yami should suffer actual consequences and witness Yami just appear to not give a single damn about it.

Anyway, while Tristan and Tea try to locate a payphone to dial 911, Seto and Yugi decide to invade Seto’s own company by going through an elevator that you have to reach through the sewers.

Straight up I don’t think SF even has sewers. At least, not in the sense that you can walk in em like New York or Paris or other cities that have sewers. Our sewer systems are very small cuz we got something called “liquefaction” which means our ground is so soft (and artificial--a lot of the land is fake), that when there is an earthquake, certain parts of the city will...liquefy. It’s Terrifying. We kind of...avoid going and building underground except in certain stable places. (like even BART gives me the heebies.)

I just have a very strong distrust of basements, caves and other underground places in general and it’s not because of spiders, or ghosts or whatever, I’m just afraid of faultlines. It’s like having an active volcano, but you just don’t see it, and we haven’t had a Big One since 1989 so...any day now (I mean, 2020 has been such redic content, that I think we’re finally ready)

Again, Japan has way more intense Earthquakes than we do, and yet they have a billion underground subways and very, very tall buildings, so like, this is mostly a big cultural difference between the two of us. And the bedrock. They probably have better bedrock than we do (honestly, I just have no idea).

MASTER HACKER SKILLS.

Almost as good as that time he hacked into Pegasus’ company by dropping a satellite on it. I’m starting to think Seto actually doesn’t know how to use a computer.

Anyway, Seto is faced with...real cards, real monsters, indisputable evidence, and he decides, it’s time. It’s time to finally face facts.

So, while these two are just flinging cards around willy nilly, Tea and Tristan are ...actually talking to police.

4 seasons. They’re actually doing it.

Although, TBH, they probably should have gone to the Japanese Embassy first? Just throwing that out there.

Ah Yugioh, the only kids show around that tells you point blank not to trust cops. Timeless.

In some weird underground earthquake hazard, Rebecca proves that she is smarter than Seto Kaiba. She’s maybe even the smartest person on this show. Nice that we gave her nothing to do this season but pine over Yugi who is already taken by Tea who he is also not even dating.

Not that I love Rebecca or anything, I actually have a hard time with her voice, but like...they really dropped the ball on Rebecca.

If she does end up joining Kaiba corp as their back up Felicity Smoak while Seto just runs around aimlessly punching stuff that really is just offbrand Arrow but with cards. And with slightly less resurrections.

So, lets get a gander at that computer.

We didn’t get to see Kaiba pull out 12 other discs to complete the installation process for these all these Hard Discs. Maybe the lure of throwing a very aerodynamic CD across the room like a paper card was so strong that his dev team forced him to switch to these defunct squares?

PS, I am a true millennial, OK? But, I don’t remember Hard Discs.

Hard Discs were SO long go. I stopped using these damn things in Elementary school. The last Hard Disc I ever touched was in college, when I had to put my art portfolio on a disc to submit it to my degree. I don't know even why. Everyone had a mac, so I knew no one’s computer in the department even...HAD a disc drive so it was like...whomst among you has this damn computer from 1997? Whomst among you is still using Windows 95? WHY would I put IMAGES on a floppy when I can just email them to you?

Anyway, I had to get a USB hard disc reader, and to get that reader, I had to call my Dad who had legacy software because he’s a computer engineer, and he had to mail it to me.

In that same portfolio review, PS, I also had to submit my portfolio as slides.

I didn’t even know where to produce slides so I had to ask all these old people and go to the last photo processing store on earth to get digital pictures turned into negatives and then turned into freakin slides.

SLIDES.

I honestly think they just did that to weed people out of the art degree.

Anyway, I tell you this story just to say that there is no way in hell that Kaiba was using a hard disc during the height of the CD era. We were CD or go home since 2000. We had pretty decent jump drives at this point. We had wifi. It was realllly bad wifi, but we had it. Your phone could connect to the internet. It would charge you 50 bucks, but it COULD connect.

Who on the Yugioh team DID this?

Anyway lets see these pictures that for which, we spent thousands of dollars in unused plane tickets, destroyed a Caltrain, killed 2 ancient Atlanteans (and their dog), killed 3 random mid-villains, walked across the entire Peninsula, crashed an international plane, and left both the plane and the train to rot gas fuel into the nearest lake which is right next to a ghost graveyard?

Yeaaaaaaaaaah!

Like he reads it and is all “They’re gonna resurrect Atlantis” and it’s like WE KNOW. Dartz and his hooligans have talked about starting their Utopia to reboot the world since Gurimo. Since Day 1.

Man.

Anyways, there was one plus to the pictures, and it was that Seto Kaiba recognized the Oricalchos logo.

You...didn’t recognize...seriously? Not until just now? You have been inside of this logo, rearing to lose your soul to Alister 2 times, and he only recognized it...just now.

I mean Seto takes a while y’all. He’s a genius, but his memory is so, so bad, that he will Eventually get smart, but you have to wait until like episode 24. But he’ll get there. Just gotta be patient.

And, when he saw it, he wigged out in a way I wasn’t prepared for.

Y’all I feel like I’ve seen to many weird zooms on Kaiba’s crotch in this show. Or just in life in general, especially after that surprise fic. That’s all.

I don’t know why everything exploded, but maybe the logo is cursed in the same way as God Cards? I dunno.

Anyway, this is when Dartz shows up with his brand new dog.

So they run outside onto the roof.

Now listen, does every Kaiba Corp building need the same weird ass roof? Is it like a McDonalds?

Because I’m just picturing this type of roof in SF and I’m having a time.

Forgive me if I made this lemming joke already. He’s just stood on a cliff’s edge so many times I can’t keep up.

RIP Dragon Jet, who took us from S3-S4, you’ll always live on in our memory, you glorious, wasteful, beautiful death trap.

Seto and Yugi are fine by the way, they just kinda jumped out, as you do when you’re an immortal god possessing a small boy and a...whatever the hell Seto is.

It’s at this point we reintroduce Valon because Joey went rogue and has decided to take on Dartz by himself. This is what happens when Tristan leaves the party. You always need Tristan to hold back Joey by his armpits to keep him from fighting random people.

So I guess Valon’s gonna die next episode. That’ll be nice.

What’s great about this show is each arc is just watching each villain die. You know they’ll die. But...how much?

Anyway, that’s all for today. I’m still drawing a hell ton of stuff so I don’t know when the next update will be...but just now I haven’t dropped off or something. I’ll...eventually get to it.

An open letter to my last love

I look back at these old photos of us and these old videos from way back at the start, before the hurt and the anger. I look back at our happiness, our pure unadulterated joy in each others company. I look back and think about how that version of you is never coming back. And as long as that’s the cast then neither is that version of me.

See I remember how much fun we had, how you flirted with me, how you used to want to impress me, how I wanted to impress you. I remember being so loud and carefree and happy. I was Unafraid. I was unapologetic. I was myself. And you were too. But this is about me - for now.

See I think you fell in love with my spunk. I was cheeky and witty and bold. I was big. I took up space, and you liked that.

Until you didn’t

You became ashamed of me whenever I came home.

You went from telling people about your girlfriend and purposely finding reasons to talk about me to others to finding reasons not to.

And then suddenly, I was too loud. So I learnt to speak quieter.

And then I was too big, so I stopped taking up space.

My laugh was too loud so I stopped laughing.

My dancing was embarrassing so I stopped dancing.

You told me I was too sensitive, and I learnt how to bite my tongue.

When I was hurt or upset, you were even more hurt or upset so I just learnt not to tell you when I was.

I’m struggling to let go because I remember how you made me feel. And honestly, when I was with you, I felt like I was invincible at the start. I was just untouchable. And now when I’m with you I feel deflated and small and afraid to speak.

I’m afraid to speak incase I upset you or you call me selfish for ruining your studies. Because it was selfish of me to leave you when you said I wasn’t important enough, as you had uni work to do. So I was the selfish one. Not you.

I’m noticing how angry I am at the fact I’m always the wrong one even when I’m not. And you refuse to see it any other way.

It makes me angry to see how you gaslight me sometimes. How when I’m upset I end up apologising for being upset, and you don’t apologise for what made me upset.

Years of this repetitive treatment has reduced me down. Now I doubt myself. I’m scared I’m always a psycho, that I’m always saying too much. Or feeling too much. Or wanting too much. I’m convinced wanting to hear you tell me you love me is too much. Wanting to hold your hand is too much. Wanting to kiss you is too much. Wanting to be wanted and loved is too much.

Maybe I’m just asking the wrong person. I’m not asking the right version of you, because the old you would have given me everything. The new you just about gives me the time of day.

I love you. I have 100000 reasons not to love you. I know that’s bad. But I know why I should leave.

And I know that I still don’t want to.

You said that I’m choosing to be here. To wait on you being ready. But really I don’t feel like I have a choice. I can’t turn these feelings off. I can’t do things like you can. I’m a slave to my heart and that’s why I’m here.

One ~thing~ about me is that despite my parents typical ~black american~ viewpoint that verbally abusing and physically punishing kids is Good and Right and Fine, and no matter how forcefully or loudly they tried to make me believe that, too, I literally never did. 

Like. 

I was a lil 4 year old who KNEW that I did not deserve to be screamed at. I was a lil 7 year old who KNEW, as I was being spanked for getting a bad grade on a math test, that i didn’t deserve to be spanked. 

There was never any doubt in my mind at all whatsoever that how I was being treated was dead wrong. 

I knew I wasn’t a perfect child and I knew that sometimes I spilled things or forgot to turn in homework assignments and sometimes I didn’t want to clean up my room or sweep the floor when I was told to, and I knew those things were Not Good things to do, but I ALSO knew that they weren’t valid reasons to physically harm someone over. 

And when I was about 11, I remember my dad, who has always been a repugnant and foul human being, somehow finding an e mail I had sent to a friend who’d told me about her parents hurting her. I don’t remember exactly what she said to me, but it was kind of presented in a “I got in trouble for X thing at school and then Y parent hit me with a belt” or whatever, and in my reply, I told her in firm terms that she didn’t deserve that, and that no one has the right to hurt anyone else, and that just because they’re her parents doesn’t mean it’s okay for them to hurt her in ways that they KNOW would be criminal if they had done it to another adult. I told her that getting in trouble for talking in class or forgetting to turn something in or for not cooperating with a teacher is, by no stretch of the imagination, a severe enough infraction to warrant being HIT, least of all by someone who’s supposed to take care of you. 

I was 11 and saying all of that to a friend in a e mail, and my dad printed it out and waved it in my face and talked all big and bad about me being ~sooo disrespectful~ and threatening me and whatnot and i looked him right in his fucking face and said that his desire to fucking hit anyone at all for any reason says more about him than it EVER could about me, and that nothing he ever did or said would change that, and that if he laid a finger on me, all it would do is prove to me just how right I am about him.

“Are you still having the nightmares?”

“I’ve been doing the breathing exercises before bed.” Bakugou avoids the question, as he always does when Aizawa asks. “I think things are a bit better.”

That’s a lie. He still has the nightmares, and things are the opposite of better. But how is Bakugou supposed to tell his doctor that, after a year away from the war, he still has the same nightmare day after day? That it never gets any better no matter what he does? He can’t, and he doesn’t.

Every night, he goes to sleep terrified of the images that live deep in his mind. The memories that only come out in dreams. The nameless boy he doesn’t know, yet somehow knows all too well. The screams of that boy, which echo in Bakugou’s head for hours after he wakes up. The heat of blood. The overwhelming smell of saltwater. The smoke-filled sky over the murky Pacific. Fragments of things he used to know.

The only thing he can think of that will get rid of this burden is finding the person stuck in his head. If only things were that simple. Bakugou has been checking the records of every soldier in navy battle, but he can’t connect a name to the face that flickers behind his closed eyelids. Why can’t he remember?

After waking up in the hospital thirteen months ago, he could only recall three things: his name, his age, and that he was a soldier for the Japanese navy. Nothing else. Now, he’s regained most of his childhood memories, but his time spent fighting in the war remains hazy. He’s blocked it out due to severe trauma, the doctors say, but Bakugou wants nothing more than to remember.

“Make sure you come back in a month,” Aizawa tells him, as always, when he dismisses him. “And don’t go poking around the recruitment office anymore. They’ll think you’re well enough to be re-drafted.”

Bakugou just nods, pulls his hat low over his eyes, and steps out into the rainy afternoon smog. He’s got dark circles from lack of sleep, and he seriously doubts the army would want him back given his severe memory issues. It’s not like he chose to have his ship blown up or to get amnesia. Whatever. He doesn’t need to go back to the recruitment office, anyway: they won’t tell him anything. If he’s going to find this mystery boy, he’s going to have to do it alone.

He’s starting to recover bits and pieces, at least. The dreams, although horrifying, are becoming clearer. He can remember sights, sounds, sensations. The smell of the ocean. The feeling of a hand on his wrist, and the sun on his face. The smile of the boy with no name—the boy Bakugou’s heart aches for. He knows him, if only he could remember how.

That’s why he can’t tell Aizawa about the nightmares. He’ll try to get rid of them, and then Bakugou will have nothing left to remember. The more he dreams, the closer he gets. That boy holds the key to what Bakugou knew in the past. He’s going to remember everything, even if it fucking kills him.

His friends, however, think he’s lost it.

“You come back alive with nothing more than some scrapes and amnesia, yet your head is still living in the war? I don’t get you,” intones Kirishima, one of Bakugou’s old high-school classmates. He stayed back in Japan to design planes—helping the war effort in a different, arguably smarter way. It certainly didn’t make him any less annoying, though.

“You don’t get it,” Bakugou replies irritably, digging through the papers piled in front of them. “I’m not living in the war. You’d be frustrated, too, if you had things you knew you remembered but could never fucking remember them.” He nudges Kirishima roughly. “Keep looking. I know I’ll find him eventually.”

“How can you expect to dig through thousands of records with nothing more than a face to go off?” Kirishima whines, opening a new box to dump out piles of photos. “I obviously won’t know if it’s him, so how can I even be of help?”

“Use this.” Bakugou pulls a sketch from his jacket pocket and presses it to the table. It‘s the only thing that survived his trip to the ocean. He can’t remember drawing it, but it’s definitely his handiwork: A profile of the mystery boy, leaning against a ship’s railing. There’s half a smile on his face, and his eyes are peaceful. Serene. So out of place in a war zone.

“When did you draw this?” Kirishima squints at the paper. “Wow… it’s really good. You got better while you were stuck on that ship, huh?”

“Shut up and look, Shitty Hair.”

Bakugou spreads the pictures apart, but no face jumps out at him. Why is it so hard to remember someone he clearly knew so well? He’s so frustrated that he wants to rip his hair out. Where is this damn guy, and why does Bakugou need to get back to him so badly?

“Shouto, it’s past noon. You need to get up.”

Todoroki doesn’t stir. He keeps looking out at the sea, ignoring Fuyumi’s impatient presence at his back. The scent of saltwater is always strongest in the early morning. The harbor is already full of fishermen’s ships, heading out for a day of hard work.

Unfortunately, like the ocean, Fuyumi is immovable. “You need to get out of the house today. It’s been three weeks since you came back, and you’re starting to reek of despair.”

“Despair doesn’t have a smell,” Todoroki sighs, finally rolling over to look at her.

She folds her arms over her chest. “False: it’s what little brothers smell like after locking themselves in their room for a month. Get up. Bathe. Go to the market for me.”

Todoroki knows she won’t give up, so he pushes himself up, accepting the crutches she passes to him. She already has a tub ready, and as much as he hates to admit it, the hot water feels soothing on his aching limbs. They’re stiff after being in the same position for so long. Most of them, anyway. Todoroki has to marvel at the way the feeling in his left leg just ends at the knee. He’ll have to get used to it eventually, he supposes.

When he’s changed, Fuyumi gives him some money and kicks him out into the dismal afternoon drizzle. After the end of the war, Japan is healing slowly from its wounded pride and broken cities. Todoroki was lucky to return to his family home in Matsue, untouched by the carnage. If only his body and mind shared the same fortune.

The market is scarce with rationing still in place, but Todoroki manages to find most of Fuyumi’s list before he runs into a long line at the fish market. He settles in for the wait and picks up snippets of a conversation ahead.

“He’s raiding records and stirring up trouble with the army left and right, so much so that he’s infamous, even way out here.”

“What? All that to find one person? Kyoto men are their own brand of crazy.”

Todoroki reaches the front of the line, collects a parcel of fish, and heads home. His mind replays the strangers’ words. Kyoto is one of the only big cities unscathed after the war. Once upon a time, Bakugou had said he was from there.

Bakugou… Todoroki has been trying not to think of him. His name only brings pain. When they were separated at sea and Bakugou’s ship went down, Todoroki had minutes to panic before his own ship suffered the same fate. A slaughter, they called it. So many men lost to the sea that it was impossible to keep track of them all. Many are still lost, and even the ones that returned haven’t truly been found. They all left parts of themselves out in those bloody waters, Todoroki included.

He searched the records of their platoon and could find nothing of Bakugou Katsuki. It was almost as if he never existed. Todoroki would believe it, if not for the memories. They come on nights when the sea is calm and the sky is clear. Only good memories, which are somehow all the more painful.

Bakugou used to draw him. He was trying to be an artist before the draft, he said. He would only let Todoroki see some of his work, and never what he drew of him. He did draw him, even though he never admitted it. In every spare moment, Bakugou’s head was buried in a notebook, gaze trailing Todoroki across the deck, hand moving as if it had its own eyes.

“Shouto?” Fuyumi opens the door, which Todoroki has been standing in front of for a while. “What are you doing?”

Todoroki looks up at her, feeling clear-headed for the first time since returning home. “I want to visit Kyoto.”

Bakugou fiddles with a charcoal pencil. He still has to stop himself from using it. His fingers itch to sketch out the shape of familiar cheekbones. Of eyes that used to watch him. That still watch him in his nightmares. He’s afraid of what his hands will unleash if he gives them access to paper.

“Still can’t draw?” Kirishima sits beside him, an engineering journal in hand.

“No.” Bakugou sets down his pencil with a sigh. “Everything just feels so damn bland. There’s nothing beautiful here.” He’s not here, his mind corrects. He was here and now he’s not. He’s missing from me.

“You’re in a spiral,” Kirishima says. He doesn’t mean it maliciously, but it still pisses Bakugou off, even before he adds, “If you waste your life chasing after ghosts, you’ll always be living amid war.”

“What the fuck do you know?” Bakugou snaps, hugging his knees to his chest. He considers jumping off the train railing they’re perching against, but he isn’t suicidal. Yet.

“You’re stuck. That’s all I’m trying to say. This mystery person you can’t forget is like a rope. He’s keeping you tethered in a past you can’t even remember.”

“But he’s the key to remembering!” Bakugou snaps. “I know he is! If I can find him, I… I know everything will come back to me.” Bakugou’s hands clench into fists. “I’m not living in the past. I’m chasing it, but it’s moving too damn fast for me to keep up.”

Kirishima doesn’t say anything to that. How can he? Bakugou is sure he’s being clear about how desperate he is. One more dream and he’ll remember his name. Just one second longer and it will come to him. He can’t stop searching, or he’ll lose this part of himself. The part his heart won’t let go even when his mind has forgotten.

“I’m going back home.” Bakugou gets up, pausing before sticking the pencil in his coat pocket. “I’ll see you later.”

He doesn’t wait for a response. Instead, he pulls a sketch from his back pocket. Its edges are worn from constant unfolding, but the subject is as clear as when his unclouded eyes gazed upon it. There are thousands of other images like it living in Bakugou’s head, and he wonders now if it might be better to draw them. To set them free will be to experience them in the light of day. The light may be exactly what he needs most.

His hands agree all too quickly. Bakugou can’t rip new sheets of paper off fast enough before they’re filled with him. His eyes, his smile, his hands, his face, his everything. The pages spill across the floor, just like water spilled over the decks of that sinking ship so long ago. How his memories flowed out of his head and into the sea.

The sea… He lived by the sea, didn’t he?

Bakugou can recall his voice in whispers softer than crashing waves. My home is called Matsue. There’s nothing very exciting about it, but… the ocean is so close. When I wake up, I can hear it and smell it. The scent of saltwater is always strongest in the early morning.

Bakugou pauses mid-sketch. A stoic face looking out to sea watches him.

Matsue… isn’t very far away. If he’s alive, he’ll be there. He must be there. And even if he isn’t there, Matsue still might hold the key to who he is. And, just maybe, who Bakugou is.

“Are you sure you can handle taking the train by yourself?”

“I’m not a child, Fuyumi. I’ll be fine.” Todoroki lets her adjust the bag across his shoulders before nudging her away. “I’ll be back soon, and I’ll call when I arrive.”

“Okay, okay. I’ll see you later.” She hugs him goodbye, and Todoroki finally boards the train to Kyoto.

The ride only takes two days, and in that time, Todoroki has things to keep him occupied. He’s supposed to be studying his medical books to get back into school, but instead, he gets distracted by the paper tucked in his coat pocket. It’s a sketch of the ocean that Bakugou gave him for birthday. Fuyumi must’ve put it there. When he first arrived back home, he wouldn’t let go of it for a week.

Todoroki wonders what Kyoto is like. Bakugou spoke little about his home and himself. He always wanted to hear about Todoroki, instead. Perhaps Kyoto will reveal a new part of Bakugou. Or, with any luck, all of him.

The city is, however, not as Todoroki expected. It’s dark and rainy, but in a different way than Matsue. Kyoto rain is overwhelming and hard and doesn’t smell of the sea. Rather than wet sand and gravel underfoot, the city streets are muddy and antagonistic.

Todoroki wanders aimlessly through the center of the town, which is ablaze with activity. There are people as far as the eye can see, but none of them are the one Todoroki searches for. He should’ve come here with more than memories and a name, but it’s too late to go home now. If there’s one lesson the war taught him, it’s to always keep looking ahead. Literally, in this case.

“Watch where you’re going!” A stranger pulls Todoroki out of the way of an approaching car, which splashes then both with mud.

“Thank you,” Todoroki mutters after collecting himself. “I… I got lost in thought.”

“You seem lost in general.” The stranger pauses, doing a double-take for reasons Todoroki doesn’t understand. “Whoa, wait a second— Hey, weird random question, but you weren’t… in the navy, were you?”

“Yes. Why?”

“Oh. Oh man. I can’t explain, but you really need to come with me.” The stranger takes him by the arm. “I’ll tell you on the way. Actually, before that—do you know someone by the name of Bakugou?”

“What?” Todoroki’s heart skips a beat. He pulls the stranger to a stop. “Bakugou? Bakugou Katsuki? He’s still alive? Do you know him? Is he here? Can I see him?”

“Slow down. That’s too many questions. He’s here and alive, I’m his best friend, Kirishima, and I’ll take you to his place right now.”

“He’s… he’s really alive?” Todoroki presses a hand to his chest, feeling his pulse hammer against his fingertips. “You’re not kidding?”

“I’m serious. And from the looks of it, you’ve been searching for him as hard as he’s been searching for you.”

“He’s been searching for me?” Todoroki follows Kirishima down the street, feeling his heart slam into his chest. It’s been so long since he let himself hope… To think that Bakugou has been alive, and looking for him, this whole time is unreal.

“He’s been obsessed with finding you since he got back.” Kirishima glances at Todoroki nervously. “You probably don’t know this, but… he has severe amnesia. He regained most of his memories, but he says the time he spent in the war is hazy. Your face was the one thing he couldn’t forget.”

Todoroki wipes away a few sudden tears before Kirishima sees them. “Thank you. Thank you for telling me.”

“I just can’t believe I ran into you. He’ll lose his mind.” Kirishima stops outside a small housing unit and knocks on the door. His excitement noticeably dissipates the longer the knock goes unanswered. “Er… let me get the spare key.”

Todoroki takes a moment to cool down. He shouldn’t get his hopes up, even now. He needs to be prepared for the worst. But when the front door opens, his heart blossoms with nothing but hope. Drawings flood the room, lying across the floor in crests as big as ocean waves.

Him. It’s all him. Todoroki stares at himself on every page, staring out to sea, tying ropes, playing cards, smiling.

“He’s not here,” Kirishima says, bending down to pick up one of the drawings. “I don’t know what happened, but… I guess this probably confirms everything I said.”

“Where did he go?” Todoroki has to stop himself from grabbing Kirishima’s shoulders. Irrational panic is clawing its way to the surface. Todoroki has to reassure himself that he isn’t losing Bakugou again when he hasn’t even gotten him back yet. “Do you know why he isn’t here?”

“I’m not sure, but—“

“Oh, you’re here, Kirishima?” Someone new appears in the open doorway, shaking rain from his blond hair. “Who’s this?”

“Kaminari!” Kirishima practically jumps on the startled newcomer. “Do you know where Bakugou went?”

“Huh? Yeah. He went to Matsue to chase after that guy that he…” Kaminari pauses to look at Todoroki, then at Kirishima, then back at Todoroki. “Oh. Well. Bakugou is in Matsue, but I guess… the person he’s looking for isn’t.”

Matsue is completely different than Kyoto. Rather than being simply untouched by the war, it’s as if it never existed here. The people seem almost carefree; happy, even. Bakugou wanders the streets in wonder at the change. The war has touched here—it’s easy to tell—but things are already on the mend.

Bakugou finds himself in a crowded market, where rationed goods are being bartered for and carried away. His eyes comb through the rain, searching for a familiar face. He doesn’t find it, but he does spot someone who sparks the faintest recognition. He’s seen a picture of her before.

“Excuse me.” He startles her by tapping her on the shoulder, so much so that she almost smacks him. “Sorry. You just look familiar.”

The girl is about to brush him off when she does a double-take. “You’re—“ She cuts herself off; shakes her head, as if in understanding. “You missed him,” she sighs slowly. “He left for Kyoto two days ago.”

Bakugou’s hands clench into fists. She knows. “He’s looking for me?”

“He thought you were dead.” She readjusts the basket on her arm. “He only just arrived home a few weeks ago. Nothing would console him when he couldn’t find any trace of you. He‘s... well, he wasn’t well enough to searxh for you.”

“He thinks I’m dead?” Bakugou swallows thickly. He could ask her for his name, or ask when he’ll be back, but his tongue can’t form the words. “I have to go,” he mutters instead, backing away. She doesn’t stop him, so he turns to run.

He sprints all the way to the train station, the street passing by in a blur of moving feet and mud. He’s so distracted that he runs head-first into someone on the platform. They collide, Bakugou grabbing an elbow at the last second to keep them both from falling. “Sorry. I’m in—“

The world fractures, and Bakugou is suddenly back in the war. Not the violent parts, but the calm ones. The days where he would sit and sketch the same person over and over, but would never let him see no matter how much he begged. The afternoons where they played cards and swapped stories from home. The nights where they snuck into empty places and got lost in each other.

Bakugou‘s fingers have suddenly settled against his cheeks, holding his face up into the dreary evening light. His skin is soft and his eyes are lost in memories, just as Bakugou’s must be.

His name… His name is…

Bakugou feels himself smile for the first time in months. “Todoroki.”

He doesn’t recognize his own voice. It’s never been so soft. So close to breaking. But then again, he’s never experienced this type of relief before. The final pieces of his memory settle back into place, and his heart becomes whole again. The war that’s been waging inside of him ever since he woke up has finally been won.

Todoroki hugs him, his arms solid and achingly real. He pulls back to look at him, tears trickling from the eyes that used to haunt Bakugou’s dreams. “I missed you,” he says, so softly it’s almost a whisper.

Bakugou kisses him to steal the sadness from his voice. Then he kisses him again. And again, until he thinks he might know he is. Who they both are.

The war is over. This time, for good.

- Eijirou Kirishima: I think Kirishima's s/o is gonna have to be someone who's pretty laid back. It doesn't matter if they're introverted or extroverted, but they need to be able to deal with him and his boisterous nature. They also might have to be ready to hold him back from some stupid escapade or something.He doesn't have a preference towards skinny or chubby- as long as he likes them, and they like him, then everything is fan-diddly-tastic!

- Shouta Aizawa: Aizawa's s/o, like Kirishima's, has to be laid-back. He'd prefer someone quieter, so they wouldn't give him migraines. I mean, hey, he has to deal with a bunch of 15-year-olds daily, right? However, he tends to attract louder people like moths to flames, so he'll roll with that too. Aizawa doesn't care, but they definitely have to be ready to literally not do anything for days on end, as this poor man is constantly exhausted.Also like Kirishima, Aizawa doesn't particularly care for how they look. He simply wants someone who he can deal with, and who can deal with him.

- Katsuki Bakugou: Bakugou might not like it, but he is 100000% the type to fall for sweet, kind people who are simultaneously capable of kicking. his. ass. He needs someone who'll keep him in line, because we all know how overbearingly intense he can get. This person's nice nature compared with his brash attitude will definitely raise a few eyebrows, but in the long run, it all works out okay!Bakugou probably prefers people on the slightly chubbier side- they're adorable! Plus, they're all soft and warm and cuddly. He's not opposed to having a skinny s/o either.

- Hitoshi Shinsou: Shinsou is open to just about anyone who shows him kindness. Gushy, adoring people who openly admire him? Sign him up! More reserved, studious types who warm up to him and confide in him? Awesome! Snarky, witty characters who he has the most riveting conversations with? Hell yeah! As long as they give him the time of day (as in, not treat him overcautiously or warily because of his quirk) then they have some chance with him, be it friendship or romance. Shinsou isn't too particular with what he finds attractive, but people on the slimmer side are probably his preference. He finds the arch of their limbs and the curve of their necks endlessly graceful.

Sero leans back in his chair and puts his hands behind his head. His smile is childishly impish.

“I mean... I can come back later. Or we can do this another time.” He laughs, enjoying the scene of the two boys in front of him in the midst of an argument.

Kirishima whips his head, forgetting all about the blond across from him. “No, it’s already been settled. We’re not ordering from the burger place. We ate there three times this week!” The redhead turns back to the blond with a stern expression on his face. “We’re ordering sushi, Denki. That’s it.” He snatches a lone menu off the table and starts to leaf through it. “If you really insist on beef today, I’m sure you could find something to order from here. But we’re not eating at that burger place again. Everyone’s tired.”

Sero shrugs. He never really had order-out preferences. As long as the place that they ended up ordering from had salad, he was fine. And most places do offer salad, so he couldn’t be bothered to truly care. He was only concerned with the pre-order drama. Kaminari catches the minute movement and starts pointing towards him. “See? Sero doesn’t mind, he’s just gonna get salad anyway!” Sero nods wordlessly, goofy smile still in place. Kirishima rolls his eyes. “Let’s get burgers! I promise next movie night I won’t even get a say,” Kaminari begs, folding his hands together in pleading. Kirishima sighs tiredly. “You said that last time, babe. And the time before that. And—“

“The time before that too,” Sero finishes, laughing. The look that Denki shoots at him is lethal.

“Whose side are you even on?”

“The side of getting food. We do this every weekend. We’ve gotta make a system or something. This is why Blasty and Mina stopped coming.”

Denki wrinkles his nose is disagreement. “Bakugou stopped coming because he hates the idea of fun,” Sero thinks about this and shrugs. He means, yeah, it was probably actually that but still. “And Mina is.... busy.” Sero raises an eyebrow and smirks.

“Or she stopped coming because she, too, has grown tired of ‘Sushi vs Burger’ debates. It’s old. Let’s just do Indian.”

“No,” the other two reply in unison. “You just said you didn’t even have an opinion though,” Kaminari starts again. “So you can’t switch it up. No Indian. No sushi.” Before Kirishima can dissent again, Kaminari slinks towards him and wraps his arms around his torso. “Pleeease? It’s just one more night, Eiji, and you haven’t even tried everything on the menu.” Sero watches on in amusement. The blond’s argument was weak (who needs to eat at the same place four times in one week? And who cares if everything on the menu hasn’t been tasted yet? They don’t want it!) but the core of his winning strategy was not words...

Sero watches on as Kaminari’s gold colored eyes widen as big as saucers, irises expertly eliciting intense melancholy. Sero’s always impressed at this grand display, wondering how the transformation from ‘stubborn, brattish boyfriend’ to ‘pathetic child with only days left to live’ is made to look so easy. It’s almost like he has a second quirk! His lashes even play along, carefully accentuating the look, looking longer and more voluminous. Sero’s heart swells in admiration.

That’s his best friend. His partner in crime. He couldn’t have asked for a more inspiring friend.

Kirishima looks conflicted. His cheeks burn pink, but he tries to maintain a look of sternness. “Denki, stop it,” Kirishima says, voice much too affectionate for a guy trying to put his foot down. Sero snickers into his hand. He’s losing. Like always. Kaminari doesn’t let up, eyes getting wider and drawing out more compassion by the second. Kirishima looks weak, face no longer molded into a look of defiance but, instead, resignation.

“Fine,” he pouts, his pink face clashing with the bold red of his hair. “Now, move. So we can order the same thing we get every time.”

The blond obeys happily, eyes back to normal and shooting Sero a conspiratorial look. The other boy laughs and extends his palm, wordlessly initiating a high-five. Kirishima looks on with an unreadable expression.

Sero turns to him and smiles, shaking his head. “You’re gonna have to shake it up sometime, dude. This is getting sadly predictable.”

Kaminari laughs while Sero gets up to stretch. “Now that that’s over, what’s the movie for tonight? We did a comedy last week, so I’m thinkin’ maybe a thriller tonight?”

Sero shrugs. “Didn’t Kirishima wanna do a Disney film?” Sero glances over at the boy in question. “Yo, which movie did you wa— What are you doing?” The redhead is sneaking off towards the bathroom, a sushi menu and cellphone in either hand. Kaminari gasps dramatically.

“You already said we could do burgers! You can’t go back!” The blond’s face is marred with an intense look of betrayal. “You don’t even know what I’d want from there!”

“You’re not hard to order for, babe. We’ve been dating for two years. I’d like to think that I know what you like by now.”

Kaminari scoffs. “No, you don’t. Come back so I can see my options.”

Kirishima shakes his head. “You’ll just pull the puppy-eyes out again.” The boy gives the other an unimpressed look. “We all took the same Villain Strategies course.”

Sero bursts into laughter as Kaminari places his hand over his heart in offense. “You think I’m a villain?”

“Low-level terrorist,” Kirishima corrects and Sero doubles over with tears in his eyes. Almost immediately, Kaminari begins to run at Kirishima. The other boy turns to continue running towards the bathroom. Sero barely has time to recover before he has to follow after the two of them, his stomach sore from laughter. The hallway echoes with the noise of shoes hitting the ground and the strained yelling of out-of-breath boys. Soon, Sero hears the slam of a door. After he rounds a corner, he finds Kaminari not too far away, breathing heavily and pushing up against the bathroom door in vain.

“He’s leaning up against it in his hardened form,” Kaminari explains without sparing a glance in his direction. His face is red and slick with sweat. Sero fights the urge to crumple into laughter. Before he can say anything, a muffled voice escapes from inside the bathroom. “Hello? Wasabi?... Yes! Are you guys delivering right now?” Sero bites his tongue to keep from laughing at the distressed face of the blond near him. “NO, BABE. DON’T DO THIS! COME OUT, LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!” Kaminari bangs on the door repeatedly, the noise echoing throughout the hallway.

From inside the bathroom, Kirishima continues speaking into the phone. “Huh? Oh, no, everything’s fine. That’s... some weird guy outside. Yeah, yeah, it’s cool. So, I’m gonna go ahead and order the seared sa—“

“I’m not just some weird guy! I’m the boyfriend! The boyfriend who DOES. NOT. WANT. SUSHI.”

Sero laughs, unable to control himself any longer. “So you’re the weird-guy boyfriend?”

Kaminari glares daggers. “Don’t you have something better to do?”

“Like what?”

“Like helping me.”

Sero shakes his head, grinning. “I told you two that I wouldn’t pick sides in an argument, like, ever. I think this qualifies.”

Kaminari’s eyes narrow. “You’re a snake, Sero Hanta.”

“Says the guy getting the bulk of his debate skills from Strategical Villainy 101.”

Just as Kaminari bucks up to respond, Kirishima wails defeatedly from inside the bathroom. “No, dude. Dude. It’s not even a serious argument. Like, I just happen to want this and he wants... He wants some other place. Look, it’s fine. We can go through with the—“

The redhead’s voice is cut off and the only thing that can be heard from the bathroom is the barely audible voice of the person on the other line. Sero raises his eyebrows in curiosity. “He’s FINE. He’ll eat anyth—“ Another pause. “What? Are you ser— Yes, he’s just being dramatic, we ate what he wanted three times this week.”

“Okay, but one of those times my order got messed up!”

“Babe, that doesn’t matter. We still ate there and... Ooh! And Lily-san agrees! It still counts!”

“Okay, well, you tell Lily-san about how you don’t even really eat there! You order fries and then you order out by yourself later!”

“That’s not relev— Wait, Lily-san, yeah, that’s what happens, but that’s still compromise.”

Sero’s amusement slowly tapers into casual indifference as the conversation continues on between Kirishima, Kaminari, and “Lily-san,” who he assumes is a nosy cashier with way too much time on her hands.

“So... Are we ordering food soon?”

“Uh, yeah, dude, but Lily is in the middle of a story right now, don’t be rude,” Kaminari whispers. The couple is now sitting beside each other in the hallway, prior argument completely forgotten, as they listen to Lily intently on speaker with Kirishima’s cellphone on the floor between them. Sero rolls his eyes, feeling slightly annoyed for the first time today. Instigating isn’t supposed to end like this. This is not what he signed up for. “Alright. Well, I’ll be back later, I guess. Maybe I’ll come back with Mina.”

“Uh-huh,” Kirishima replies distractedly. “Bye.”

Sero rolls his eyes again as he walks back around the corner and up the hallway again. He fishes his phone out of his pocket and starts typing. How do I feel about this character:

Funny story time with Auntie Joey! Alright so way back when, when I first got into DBZ and I frequented the DBZ wiki and chatted with people there on forums and in the online chat room, I was OBSSESSED with Cell. Any other character didn’t matter to me, my username was Perfect Hottie and my profile picture was Cell. I’m telling you, I was OBSSESSED! But of course, things change as my 14 year old, hormone filled mind began to mature and I began to realize- Hey! Maybe there’s more to DBZ then this hot bug! So eventually I moved on from him, but I still appreciated his character, ya know? But over time, and as of recently, the fandom’s characterization of him began to ANNOY me and I started liking him less and less and less ( like honestly I can say I like imperfect and semi more than perfect at this point ) and while I ADORE TFS, their perfect Cell started to rub me the wrong way. I went from a thirsty 14 year old, to an 18 year old OUT FOR BLOOD at any sign of people mischaracterizing Cell. ( THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE EXEMPT FROM THIS TBFH ARE YOU AND @/BIOMECHANICALCICADA LIKE I ADORE THE FUCK OUTTA U TWO AND UR CELLS ) so long story short; Used to wanna fuck the bug, loved him; fandom completely ruined him for me.

What do I like/admire about this character:

He’s surprisingly different from what I’ve seen from typical villains. He’s doing everything ( for the most part ) for shits and giggles and I LOVE it. He’s unapologetic about what he’s done, he’s creepy, malicious, and overall interesting character design, and despite me not liking him anymore, I can APPRECIATE Cell as a character and villain, he’s just that unique and awesome! 

What do I dislike about this character:

As I explained above, I despise the fandom Cell more than anything else. Like a good few jokes here and there is awesome! But when a character is so reduced to a specific joke, it’s really hard for me to take him seriously and enjoy his original character anymore.

Favorite moment for this character:

SSJ2 Gohan vs Cell, no doubt. Watching Cell experience FEAR and DEFEAT and watching his character shift in canon was so fascinating to me! It was really refreshingly to see a villain like him getting his ass handed by a child, im saying that legitimately, it was so COOL to see! And him creating the Cell Jrs, I hella love that ex machina moment 👌👌

Who I ship romantically with this character and why:

All my shitty Mary Sue ocs that I should totally redraw– NAH BUT- all jokes aside, since im being completely honest, I don’t?? See Cell being interested in romance or sex at ALL. He really doesn’t seem like the type remotely interested in it or understanding it at all. For all intents and purposes, I legitimately envision him being Aro Ace, that’s just me however!

Who are my platonic ships for this character and why: 

Okay- you might be thinking I’m saying this for shits and giggles- BUT!!!! Not looking at anyone's portrayal of either of these characters and going off their original personalities, I 100000% LOVE 13 and Cell being thick as thieves, or as close as either will allow them to be. They have similar circumstance and for their transformations, something I can see the both of them having an in depth discussion about, obviously they're androids, but they both LOVE fighting, they have almost similar attitudes when fighting! They look like they're enjoying themselves and they love toying with their opponents, and I honestly- want to see legitimate, well IC content of these two getting along.

Things done in fanfiction with this character that annoy me:

Points to my opening paragraph- mischaracterization, pointless shipping, pointless smut, very gross topics and making him do gross ooc things. EXTREMELY GROSD CONTENT WITH UNDERAGED GOHAN. Honestly I'm so turned off from Cell fanfics I can't- read anything with him anymore, and it's sad since I'm sure there's beautiful, well written, ic content of him.

Things done in fanfiction with this character I want to see more of:

Interactions with the older android models, INTERACTION WITH GERO!!! VERY IC CONTENT!! Fics not focused on shipping him with anyone or interpreting him as this poor guy who regrets things!! Make him deliciously evil as he is in canon!! God damn, if I work on my 13 fic I'll include Cell and I'm DETERMINED to give him a satisfying portrayal!

I won’t say I never get a drink at a restaurant, but I rarely do. It just adds dollars to the bill… And this adds up if you do it a lot. Instead, we spend $25 on mixers/vodka and make drinks at home for like 2 nights… It’d cost $100+ to do that in a restaurant. I was recently in a minor accident in which someone backed into me. Their insurance company accepted 100% of the liability. They are telling me that they are deeming it as a total loss. My question is, once they determine the actual cash value of the car, minus the salvage and give me the difference, will my title be a salvaged title? I live in Missouri and drive a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. I couple of different people have informed me that beings my car is over 7 years old it will NOT have a salvaged title but according to the insurance company it will. Also do I get the actual cash value minus the salvage amount or do I get the repair estimate amount minus the salvage amount? I will be soon getting my license (California), however I will not immediately be purchasing my own car. I am sixteen and I will most likely be driving one of my parents cars in the interim. Now here's my problem. My dad owns and e55 and my mom owns a 328. My mom commutes every day so driving her car is off the table. My dad almost never has to go anywhere in his car as he is currently on disability. The only problem is insuring me on the e55 will cost a fortune. My dad currently has the car insured under State Farm and their quick estimate say's I'd be paying nearly $600 a month. I went down today and signed the paperwork and was given the temporary insurance card and they faxed paperwork to the dealership and the dealership to them and it is all worked out. However I got a call back a few hours later from another broker quoting me a lot less. I had her verify with the company and they said yes. But I have already signed the other stuff.
