Anybody know other examples of this dynamic?

Background comic relief duo who seem like opposites but actually share the same level of passion/hyperactivity that can't be matched by anybody else in their circle. Character A seems fussy or uptight but is likely just as impulsive/ridicilous as character B. Character B is a sort of jester type that annoys Character A but is probably the only person that can make them lossen up and the one they're closest to. Bonus: it's an old friendship/childhood friends

I know people often label this as a "red x blue" pairing. but I disagree. a true "blue coded" character in my opinnion has to be calm which neither of the people in the pairings im referencing here can be.

Little "IT/Reddie" prompt

NY city 2016.

Eddie was busy shopping around in those little flea markets with his wife, bored out of existence, wandering around to see what kind of strange ornaments did this store have.

Some old wardrobes that, by looking at the ammount of dust on them, weren't really selling, a few trenchcoats that Eddie didn't even think of touching, who knows who wore them before or if they were really washed!

The air was heavy and he was looking at the door wanting to escape and was unconsciously getting nearer to the exit when he accidentally hit something.

Looking down there was a little odd garden statue of an old circus clown with a sad make up and a yellow and red tinted suit.

He wasn't afraid of clowns but for some reason he wasn't even a big fan too, everytime he saw one something seemed to wake up in his chest and bite him from the inside, but in that moment he also couldn't look away.

That strange ceramic statue captured him completely, he imagined how that creepy thing would look like in someone's backyard.

And in that moment the image of a garden, an expanse of grass, appeared in his mind and he was taken back in a vision.

It seemed to be a summer day, he was laying on a field, something strange since he is always so scared of getting ticks or something worse, but everything was calm and warm and his chest felt light for once.

Then he noticed an arm under his neck and a hand on his shoulder, someone was laying with him, looking at the clouds.

"These kind of days are the strangest, this Goddamn city has been so frantic lately and then...quiet, it kind of creeps me out a bit everytime"

He couldn't manage to remember who's voice that was, it surely was a boy, probably in his teens.

"Yeah but don't spoil it you idiot, let's just be grateful that we can take a breath"

This time it was Eddie's, young, annoyingly high-pitched.

"Can I be honest with you about something?"

The other boy's voice was tense, almost like it was forced to come out.

"Of course"

He felt his own heart's pace accelerating but couldn't manage to look at the guy that was speaking to him, only at the grass or the sky and he felt that the other one was doing the same.

"When last week we were talking about our deepest fear and I told you that mine was clowns...I lied"

There was a pause.

"It's not clowns"

Eddie's chest now felt small, too small to even breathe.

Another pause.

"I know..."

And suddenly he heard his name being called, it was his wife and with that the vision ended.

Was it a memory? Was it a dream? Or maybe it was the heavy air that was making him dizzy.

But his chest still felt too small to breathe and the clown was still looking at him, with his sad frown.

Maybe he knew too.
