Bad Kids Class Swap (with some light "evil" influences) AU featuring:

Artillerist Artificer & Shadow Sorcerer Riz. Undead Warlock Kristen. Ascendant Dragon Monk & Fathomless Warlock Fabian. Storm Sorcerer Adaine. Vengeance Paladin Gorgug. Wildfire Druid & Zealot Barbarian Fig.

I have many thoughts about those class+subclasses but they're all very disjointed since I also haven't thought up a more cohesive way of getting them all in the same party since their "evil" influences all come from the different seasons.

I won't get too deep into it but the general inspirations are,

Riz: Artificer > Rogue, less focus on mysteries + more focus on his parents legacies. Shadow Sorcerer levels are developed after deepening his connection to Kalina, again reflecting the deeper focus on his relationship to his parents.

Kristen: She starts as a Devotion Paladin of Helio. Dies. Starts doubting the church. Becomes an Oathbreaker Paladin. Dies again. Is brought back by The Nightmare King as an Undead Warlock. Drops her levels of Paladin to focus on that connection.

Fabian: This one is the most canon divergent tbh. Has a more strained relationship with Bill. Doesn't take that 2 year gap to travel with him. Monk > Fighter is meant to reflect the shift in dynamic there. Ends up falling in with Dayne since they're closer in school year now, eventually learns from Kalvaxus (hence Ascendant Dragon). I still think Bill would eventually die and that death would impact Fabian. A Fiend Warlock would be more reflective of their canon dynamic imo so Fathomless helps separate that.

Adaine: Starts as her canon class, Divination Wizard, but her connection to magic is altered by the spirit of the former Oracle upon being awakened. Forcing her to lose her Wizard levels and pick up Storm Sorcerer, as like a "corrupt" Oracle. Honestly I could maybe see her eventually picking up levels of a martial class to regain some sort of control in regards to her adventuring experience.

Gorgug: Also starts as his canon class, Berserker Barbarian, but never goes down the Artificer route and is influenced by Porter into reframing his relationship with rage towards a pursuit of righteousness. I think Gorgug would've been leaning more towards Oath of Glory but Porter would've seen it as too passive and pushed for Oath of Conquest. Oath of Vengeance is what ends up being the "happy medium".

Fig: Instead of her infernal heritage coming out as her tiefling status, it presents a bit subtler with her connection to a Wildfire Spirit. I think that would allow her to live in denial about her heritage a bit longer since her mother has such a clear connection to nature, putting her in a more vulnerable position to be influenced by Porter as well. When the dots eventually connect, he acts as a "support" system encouraging (and actively empowering) her to channel and work with rather than against her rage. Hence levels in Zealot Barbarian.

SVSSS College/University AU!!

(mostly STEM, and with assumptions arising from the American systems, bc that's what I know)

Shen Yuan: In accordance with my headcanons for canon, I think he'd still be studying evolutionary biology in this AU. He'd have fun with it, and I think he'd be decently good at it. Same energy as my roommate doubling Chem and Archeology bc Alchemy isn't an option

Luo Binghe: Shen Yuan tutored him once when they were in middle school and high school respectively, and Bingy majored in STEM about it. That and I think it would make sense with his backstory, for him to be studying biochemistry or molecular biology with the intent of becoming a cancer biologist. Like I said earlier, he'd be phenomenal in wet lab because of his skills in the kitchen (and general badassery) transferring to the lab. If he actually had Protagonist Powers I think he'd probably manage to actually cure cancer lol.

To get the relationships right, I think Ning Yingying and Ming Fan have to be studying something related to biology, but I don't have a good enough handle on their characters to decide what exactly within the broad broad field of bio they might be interested in. But I do know that the three of them were put in a study group during intro bio and managed to make that into actual friendship further down the line.

Shang Qinghua: I Knew he had to be Computer Science all the way. As someone who is intimately acquainted with the precise flavor of dying all CS majors are, he's absolutely got the energy. Plus, I had a daydream/plot bunny back when I was taking Algorithms that the type of procedural thinking taught in CS would be invaluable on An Ding. He absolutely still writes a ton to keep some semblance of sanity. If you see him in the CS building at 11 pm typing furiously it's a coin toss as to whether he's writing or debugging lol. He and Shen Yuan made instant hatefriends with each other in the university's anime club their first year, and slowly transitioned to being die-or-die (yes, that was not a typo, they are both dying at the end of this ride lol) best friends.

Literally everyone else I could think of under the cut:

Shen Qingqiu: I think he and Shen Yuan are cousins at most, so the QiJiu backstory can be had in some capacity. Of course, they can't literally be slaves named after numbers in a modern AU, but the separation/reconciliation/etc can happen. I think he's either premed and angry about it, or aggressively going towards academia. Math, maybe? I know those are two very different things, but whatever he's studying, he's mean about it, but very good.

Yue Qingyuan: I think he is in the med school at whatever university he's at. One of those freaks who manages to be dying entirely on the inside instead of the outside. This is why I think it'd be useful to have SJ|SQQ as premed, so their paths crossed. I think SQQ was delayed in enrolling by QiJiu Backstory, which is why they're in different years. He's maybe planning on going into family medicine, I think.

Mu Qingfang: How could I make the doctor character not a doctor? He's out of school, kind of. I think he's doing his residency at a hospital near the university. He's friends with YQY, and is Concerned at the bits of QiJiu Backstory he's picked up over the course of that.

Qi Qingqi: Thinks all you doctor types are a bit insane (affectionate, but deep down). I think she's a graduate student studying chemistry, maybe drug delivery if I had to pick something specific? No real reason, just vibes.

Liu Qingge: The emotionally constipated Sporty Ponytail(TM), so... Sports Medicine, obviously. I think he might be minoring in environmental studies or something, so there's reasons for him to cross paths with Shen Yuan. Story reasons, I mean -- he's doing it because he got interested in high school.

Liu Mingyan: I don't know if it's too on the nose to tie her to a field that'd make her excruciatingly aware of the reasons why to wear a mask, but I think she'd be studying Epidemiology or Public Health, something similar to that. I think she'd be good at thinking on the personal, community, and population levels, and balancing that.

Sha Hualing: So that she has some overlap with both LMY and LBH, and because I just think it fits somehow, I think she'd be studying molecular biology with the intent to go into virology.

Mobei-Jun: Honestly I'm not entirely certain he's in school. I think it might make more sense for him to be running the restaurant location Binghe works part time at. Which brings me to the rest of the demons!

Meng Mo: Head chef of the restaurant Bingy managed to finangle his way to a part time chef position at. No, I don't know how he managed that either, because it's a pretty high end restaurant, and "chef" doesn't tend to be a part time position from what I know. Binghe is just that good at cooking, I guess. Meng Mo is kind of mad about it.

Tianlang-Jun: He owns the restaurant and probably a bunch of other things, but he's rich-person bankrupt because he was suspected of murdering his wife (he didn't, obvs. Honestly it might be funny if Su Xiyan wasn't even actually dead). It was suuuuuper awkward when it came out that LBH was his biological son, but Binghe Refuses to touch business, so Zhuzhi-Lang is the successor.

Okay....hear me out....Chucky/Big Hero 6 AU

Here's who would be who:

Jules ~ Sadly, I can Imagine him being In Tadashi's role as the supportive and Incredibly Intelligent Inventor big brother who dies In the fire at the beginning of the story and kickstarts the whole superhero team Idea

Junior ~ He'd definitely (and obviously) be Hiro as the Incredibly smart, but reckless younger brother who graduated high school extremely young (13 years old to be exact) and Is always getting himself Into trouble, but he has to try and work through his grief over losing his brother and meets a sweet and huggable robot that his brother Invented and showed to him shortly before he died

Lydia ~ I can maybe Imagine her being GoGo as the steadfast adrenaline junkie who's always on her feet and needing a piece of the action, but Is Junior's biggest supporter after Jules’ death. Only thing Is that she may just have to be a friend of Jules and Junior's rather than their cousin to fit Into the story

Lexy ~ Idk, she could most likely be Honey Lemon even though Lexy Is a reformed mean girl while Honey Lemon Is a huge ball of friendly energy. But she could still work by being the sweet and supportive friend (and eventual girlfriend) of Junior's that tries to be there for him as much as he can. I think that It'd be Interesting for her and Junior to start out as friends and maybe build up their relationship throughout the story

Jake ~ It took a bit of thought, but I really think Jake would be Wasabi as the smart and awkward clean freak that can't stand the sight of blood and Is always trying to keep things tidy. He's really anxious about a lot of things and thinks that Junior Is crazy for wanting to build a superhero team Initially, but he gives In for his sake and for the sake of keeping an eye on him for Jules. Once more, none of the Wheeler's would really be related except for Jules and Junior for the sake of the story.

Devon ~ Again, It took a bit of thought, but I genuinely think Devon would be Fred as the super nerdy guy who's not only Into true crime and comic books, but science as well. He just wants to give Junior as much comfort as he can and Is ultimately excited to be a part of Junior's superhero team

Baymax can stay the same as the loveable healthcare robot that Jules creates not only for the sake of helping other people, but for the sake of helping Junior the most, which definitely happens once Jules Is gone (Thinking of doing the scene where Baymax shows the testing videos of Tadashi to Hiro with Jules and Junior Is already making me wanna cry😭)

Nica could be In Aunt Cass’ role because my girl definitely needs more love. I can definitely see her being the lovable and supportive young aunt to Jules and Junior. Maybe Andy can be thrown In as their uncle just so he can be there, lol

Idk who would be Professor Callaghan (a.k.a the villain of the story), so maybe he can stay the same? Either that or Andy can be In his place?

But I really hope you've seen Big Hero 6 because It's my all-time favorite Disney movie and I really love this Idea and have been thinking about It for a while!

Haha if you have prompts or themes, it'd def help organize my thoughts, but here are a few more!

Aizen's "modern" attire leans towards classic and timeless pieces. Kubo lovesss to draw his characters in modern clothing, and if Aizen is drawn, he's usually in some kind of suit, or at least nice slacks and a button down lol (although there is one of him in a hoodie THAT I MUST FIND A FULL IMAGE OF). This man would also be That Guy who owns some fancy-ass sweats (maybe cashmere, maybe Fear of God)

Some brands I can see him wear: Thom Browne, A.P.C., Bruno Cucinelli, Fear of God... wears Oliver Peoples sunglasses, Breitling watches and Berluti accessories.

I previously said that his love languages were "acts of service" and "quality time", but when it comes to special occasions, Aizen plans EVERYTHING. He will make sure it will be a birthday/anniversary/whatever day that you will remember. He's an observant man, and for you, he'll give thoughtful gifts.

It's a pretty common headcanon for him, but I do believe he would be a professor or a teacher in a modern AU setting (even Kubo mentioned it in passing when talking about an art piece that had Ichigo and other characters in school uniforms. He originally planned to include Aizen but felt that Aizen would be their teacher rather than a classmate lol). I'm not exactly sure what he would teach though!

Some days I think he would teach some introductory philosophy course, or maybe higher level metaphysics classes. I think he would be a decent thesis supervisor at the graduate level (esp if he has his Nice Guy act on).

I also have headcanon'd him as someone who works either as a psychiatrist or a neurosurgeon (both are medical doctors, but with differing mental demands).

I see him as someone who genuinely enjoys people-watching. I can see him going to a cafe, order a cup of tea or coffee, a book he's reading, and just observe people. Yes, he may find humans/mortals/shinigami "weaker" than him, but he likes to observe people - it's why he became good at reading them in the first place!

I know I wrote a fic alluding to it, but I don't think Aizen gets jealous easily, unless it has to do with Urahara and MAYBE, and a big maybe, Shinji. I personally would have loved to see more interaction with the 3 of them either during the last arc, or TBTP, but I think Aizen has absolutely 0 patience for the two of them.

I suspect that some of Hiyori's pranks on Shinji were aided with Aizen during TBTP lol.

Hi anon! I'm really glad u guys seem to love the idea of Akechi in jazz school it makes me sooo happy :)

I won't be going into too many details about the end of the game or immediate post-cannon cause my friends haven't finished playing and I don't want to ruin the experience of royal for them more than I already have lol, HOWEVER here's the basic gist of what's rolling around in my head about it

I think naturally Akechi would like the idea of going to jazz school since I think Jazz Jin is genuinely a comforting space for him (in addition to this I also think it'd be pretty cool if Joker also got into jazz school after graduating high school with like. No idea that Akechi goes there lol. The drama. But that's besides the point). Anyway I do think it'd make him happy to focus on a new ambition that he Chose just because He Likes It.

I figured piano suits him as a specialization instrument just cause. Vibes idk. But I also have a little worm in my brain whispering to me that he'd play guitar on the side for thematic duality reasons

I think he'd definitely get the hang of theory related stuff super quickly like. He probably studies up on enough jazz harmony to get him through his whole curriculum before he's even had a single class. However! I do think he'd have trouble Feeling The Music and letting his guard down, giving the music up to the audience and coping with the possibility of an imperfect performance. I imagine that'd be like his biggest hurdle along with learning to trust his coursemates in ensembles, choirs and bigbands

I also think that he wouldn't be doing it with the intention of becoming a famous musician or anything like that, I fully believe he'd be Done with that stuff. He just wants to learn how to do something that brings him joy, and I imagine eventually that he ends up happy, earning a living playing gigs at clubs just like Jazz Jin :)

Anyway, I'm really glad u guys like the art, even if u don't agree with my exact opinion on it here :) I obviously don't own the idea of Akechi Goro Goes To Jazz School, I'm only coping with my own struggles studying jazz by projecting onto him lol. Karma: "Cuddle time." Nagisa: "IT'S 31 C!!! AKARI, HELP!!" Akari: "Sorry Nagisa! I have another love to attend to. You're on your own."

(Lol the dialogue is kinda off but I like what I was trying to go for.)

Aguri lives AU but at what cost. Akari is this 🤏 close to losing it.

Adults Kayano, Kanzaki, and Karma went to that one cafe that was doing that collaboration with a popular video game.

GoM AU, with Akari slowly turning into an antimatter creature. It took a long time for her to transform, and there was no cure to stop this. It wasn't fun, but at least her friends were there for her.

Kayano and Akari, Deemo AU, based on that one art for ANiMA from the game.

Okay, THIS one I still like a lot. It takes place in the Okinawa arc, and the concept was that there'd be a montage where each student would use Korosensei's Ultimate Defense Form as a blunt weapon to knock out all of the guards. And then end with Karasuma taking out Takaoka the same way.

GoM AU again. Nagisa excitedly shows off one of his partners. ...and yes I made antimatter Akari 10 feet tall. :D

Surprise Koro Q! Based on that one episode from the anime. Imagine if the transformation was permanent.

Context: some of the 3E students are eldritch beings, and Kayano is the reincarnation of an ancient being that ruled a whole other dimension filled with other eldritch monstrosities, which she can summon. This AU gave me so many brain worms, yet not enough to help me finish any of them. 😩

I have a bleak zombie apocalypse AU. Takes place after their high school graduation, probably after the events of Korotan D? Kayano's half-infected, Nagisa's a zombie, Karma has severe head trauma that he can't fix and it's making him go wack, and Gakushuu's trying to keep everything together.

I wanted to draw more than one birthday art for Akari and this was one of them. Just her and her big sister...

This one was gonna be a prank. Forgot about it though LOL.

The concept was Kayano arriving in limbo, dazed, after getting killed. But Aguri tells her to go back. It's not time yet.

Aberration AU. Takes place 4 years after canon, right around the time they're in college. The monster behind them is basically both of them. Their memories and DNAs make up the monster. Kayano and Nagisa are unhealthily codependent after being kidnapped and used as experiments for...3 years. 😐 But it's okay. They eventually get rescued and get therapy.

Kayano twins AU. I was gonna draw a short comic about the twins but I had to give up because I was struggling for some reason. (Why is this pic so LONG???)

One of the Christmas/Karma birthday ideas. It'd have Karushuu kissing under a mistletoe. Kayano's just here for the desserts, man.

Eldritch AU. This would be a sequel to Day 88, featuring Kanzaki (she's a time god) instead, but I didn't have enough motivation to finish it.

This is just Day 93, but Aguri and Korosensei were supposed to be there with her, along with the rest of group 4!! But I ran out of time.

And finally, this is another limbo situation where the Yukimura sisters would hug each other one last time. But then I thought it was too sad and went for the "Aguri lives" ones.

After the game ended, you saw the group of players huddle together and talk to each other in the middle of the field. You look back at Minseo, a concerned expression taking over their face, and shoot them a reassuring smile.

"I'll be right back!" You call out, turning toward the field and jumping over the metal barrier.

You sigh to yourself, repeating Beomgyu's message in your head while making your way to the dispersing group. Shoving your hands in the pockets of your oversized hoodie, the material falls over one of your shoulders and exposing the area of skin while your heart starts thumping intensely in your chest.

The sight of the star player comes into view, watching another guy —probably Yeonjun, who you know of — walk away with a nod toward you. It took Soobin a moment to realise what Yeonjun was indicating, but turning around to face your confident self he had an intrigued look on his face.

"Hi Soobin," you crane your neck back a little, looking up at him and taking note of the way he runs his fingers through his damp bangs, pushing it back. "I'm Yn, that was a really good game out there." A nervous laugh leaves your mouth without meaning to.

"Hi Yn, and thanks for coming out here tonight." He reaches a hand behind his neck and rests there for a second. "What brings you here?"

He could sense his own cheeks starting to warm up from the way a smile crawls onto your face, his eyes almost narrowing while he thinks about whether he's seen you around before.

"Oh, well.. I was just wondering if you'd like to hang out sometime? Andmaybeakisstoo?" You mumble the last part quickly enough for him to not hear it, tucking a strand behind your ear as you make eye contact with him again.

"Wait, sorry?" Soobin looked intrigued about whatever incoherent words came out at the end of your sentence. But also just needed to know if he heard you properly. Girls would usually flirt around with him with no intention of getting to know him properly, but you, you caught his attention immediately. The way you kept digging your hands further into your hoodie pockets, and your weight slightly shifting from leg to leg — he found it quite adorable.

"Oh, I mean, it's okay if you don't want to hang out with me, like I completely understand that, because why would you hang out with someone like me right?" You chuckle nervously again, "We're so different and you probably have other girls or better people to hang out with—"

"I'd like to hang out, I think it'd be nice." Soobin, nods his head, shooting you a smile.

Yes, you were hoping he would agree with you, but you were not expecting him to agree that easily. You felt a tight squeeze in your chest, finally having the courage to speak to your long-time crush and being the one to make the first move. At this point, you've killed two birds with one stone, Taehyun's bound to regret talking smack behind your back and you finally get to hang out with the Choi Soobin.

"Okay, cool, yeah." You bite your bottom lip, looking down at your undone laces for a split second before he asked you something you never had been asked before.

"Hey, Yn? You think I could get your number?" Soobin holds out his phone in front of you, opened in his contacts already having your name typed in as 'Yn ☺️'. "You know, so we can message each other when we can hang out?" The return of him scratching the back of his neck was enough for your knees to buckle, but you happily type in your number and refrain your grin.

"I'll see you around?" You slowly walk backwards, treading closer to the barrier.

"I'll see you around," you notice his dimples popping out, increasing the pace of your heart which was basically begging to jump out your chest. "Get home safe!"

You nod your head before turning around and jumping over the barrier to scream with Minseo. Soobin could see you jumping up and down, hands clasping together with your friend. It was wholesome, he must admit. It's been a while since he's experienced something like this, and you weren't aware that you managed to revive the slight flutter in his stomach.

He turns around, shaking his head with an unwavering smile on your face. His thumb swipes up to see you in his contact list, mentally noting to send you a text in the morning after remembering that he hadn't given you his number.

Love all the memes about Kokichi becoming the new king, lol. I kinda hate to distract from that with this idea, but I'm about to go to bed and if I don't write it down it will simply yeet off into the abyss of my brain.

A minor talentswap au, where most talents stay the same – only, Shuichi gets Kokichi's talent, and Kokichi gets something else (I'd suggest Ultimate Lucky Student, because it'd be funny – you'll get why in a second). Of course, Kokichi being Kokichi, he had the idea of pranking other people with a fake talent, so he went to DICE like:

"hey what fake talent should I tell all my future classmates that I have"

Random DICE member, about to be struck by Apollo's dodgeball: "Ultimate Supreme Leader lol"

"perfect, that sounds just ridiculous enough that I'm sure no one else would ever have that as their actual talent"

When the first day of class rolls around, Kokichi ends up introducing himself (with his fake talent) to the class before Shuichi does, and so Shuichi – who didn't really want to tell people what his talent is anyway and is internally panicking about this wrench that Kokichi has thrown into what were supposed to be simple introductions – is like "shit I can't tell everyone that's my talent, they'll think I'm lying." When he's asked what his talent is, his brain scrambles for ideas and comes up with the solution that no one in their class has claimed to be the Ultimate Lucky Student yet – he'll just say he's the lucky student for their class! Yeah! That'll work! And he can just. Keep saying that's his talent until he graduates. Perfect.

But of course, Kokichi catches on to this lie immediately, and is like "there's?? Another liar?? In this class?? I will not stand for this; lying about talents was supposed to be my thing."

So in conclusion, what we have is:

1 (one) not-a-supreme-leader who is trying to figure out Shuichi's real talent so he can expose him as a liar

1 (one) actual supreme leader who dug his own grave and is prepared to bury himself alive in it

And the rest of the class, completely unaware to any of the talent chess these two have now begun a game of within five minutes of meeting each other

Kerr McKay is a automotive engineering grad student, having left his home country of Ireland to study in the States. He wants to design motorcycles once he finishes up his degree, and spends an inordinate amount of time tinkering with his own motorcycle as a hobby.

Warrick is an arts student pursuing a BFA, and the bane of his professors' existences. He's got enough credits for three minors in digital media, photography, and marketing because he just keeps signing on for more classes instead of graduating.

Jay and Kerr met first. The school's dorms were co-ed, and students were usually grouped by their fields of study, so they were on the same floor. Combined with having a lot of the same classes, the two grew close pretty quickly. Warrick was paired with them in one of their gen ed classes for a project - a happy accident of fate - and the three just kinda clicked. When Jay began to talk about starting her own motorcycle manufacturing company, Kerr and Warrick were very quick to throw their lot in with her. Kerr designated himself as Jay's lead engineer and 'creative genius' while Warrick took up the mantle of PR guru and artistic director.

Currently, Jay and Kerr are trying to finish out their degrees under the guidance of Professor Carlisle Morrish and his assistant professor Portia Beckham, while Warrick drags out his degree until Jay and Kerr are set to graduate. The three of them rent an apartment close-ish to campus, though they're hardly ever there. Warrick works part-time at a local radio station as one of their social media interns, and sometimes does advertisements when needed. Kerr and Jay do TA work for Professors Morrish and Beckham, and all three of them tend to hang around campus more often than not to meet up with friends (and rivals).

Jay is in a bit of a low-stakes war with the TA of one of her business classes. She swears Adrien Montrose is out to get her personally (he isn't), and is determined to make him give her a perfect grade before either of them graduates. Warrick and Kerr are embroiled in a long-standing prank war with some of the other engineering students and have recently wrangled some of the new undergrads into it - one Aleksei Rybkin is particularly enthusiastic. They're also trying to prove once and for all that the rumors surrounding Dr. Pearce - one of the biology professors - are true and she is hiding bodies and experimenting on them in her lab when no one's around.

I could keep going but I'm gonna leave off here before I work myself up into actually writing this au lol. Must finish the original story first!

I feel like in modern au it may be hard to include Kurama without changing his relationship to Naruto and it probably would be interesting to have him as a person in Naruto’s head like sometimes when people go to something traumatic they get this personality disorder where they create another personality that kind of protects them from the bad stuff that happened and often the other personality is „darker“ or the „bad side“ of the person because of the trauma. So that could be a good explanation why Naruto has kurama in his head and can talk to him but still are totally different personalities.

Just thought about this cause I rarely see a modern au with kurama in it except there’s something supernatural or sometimes he’s the uncle/big brother.

keeping him in naruto's head whilst making it a modern au and thus having to completely rewrite his story would def be a challenge. i can see kurama as this protector because of naruto's trauma. it'd def be fitting for him to be like the more strict, uptight guardian that sometimes takes over just to keep naruto's state of mind safe. i have no clue how it works irl, but ya know... this is fiction. hopefully it doesn't offend anybody.

and then there's the other concept where they turn him into an actual person, which is cool for me too. idk if you've watched jjk or read any fics about it, but it's the same situation with sukuna, where writers write him as yuji's mean older/twin brother because he's (much like kurama) actually a demon living inside his mind. i can so see kurama being an older brother to nart. like this huge age difference, 10+ years where kurama already has his life thought out as he's inching towards 30, and naruto's just graduated high school and is constantly pestering him like a proper 18yr old lol!!

i'm actually writing a fic set in a modern au where naruto still has kurama, though it's more of a 'skipping realities' sort of story. basically canon naruto enters our world. there's an entire chapter where reader interacts with kurama while he takes over naruto's body, and it was pretty fun to write.

Adrien's future path is honestly something I struggle with a lot. Despite him being my favorite character and my strong love for aged-up scenarios, I honestly have no clue at all what I think he'd do with his life (and, according to wishmaker, neither does he lol).

Like to me, Nino obviously wants to be a director, Alya obviously wants to be a journalist, and Marinette obviously wants to be a fashion designer. Adrien.......... I just have no idea.

Here are some random strings of consciousness about Adrien's future. It got really long so I'm putting it under a read more for anybody who wants to indulge my ramblings.

Adrien clearly doesn't want to be a model. I like seeing him as a model in future AUs, but only as a "something he's still doing to please his father, because he feels like he has to" sort of thing. I never see modeling as his actual dream or his "end goal", just another thing to create conflict in his life. (that being said, if he and marinette were married, i can see him modeling her stuff. but not as his full-on career, just as a way for him to want to be a part of his wife's life and support her cuz he love her so much 🥺 but more as something he does Every Now and Again, and only when he wants to, and nothing more) _

 I think Adrien taking over "Gabriel" / the family business is just about the worst thing that could happen to him. I don't think he wants anything to do with "Gabriel" tbh (and honestly, I don't think Marinette will either, but that's a rant for another day. Basically keep his abusive father's company that will burn to the ground the moment he's outed as a terrorist as far away from Marinette and Adrien as possible. I think people forget the company is named "Gabriel", not "The Agreste Company", and i honestly just think it should burn.) Him taking it over is good for angst fics and stuff though, I'll give it that. If it was ever thrust upon him I'd hope he'd just liquidate the damn thing. _

 Ironically..... I don't really think he'd become a baker. Though I think it'd be really cute!! It's kind of something I like to see but don't necessarily believe would be the case under normal circumstances. (he didn't seem super enthused about it in weredad lol) _

 Adrien being into Physics is really popular (he said it was his favorite subject in the french dub of Evillustrator, I believe), but it's honestly not something I ever got very into? I think just the visual of Adrien alone in a room doing lab work or sifting through academic paper after academic paper just doesn't appeal to me. Feels too sterile and lonely and void of emotion for the boy whose whole life is overly lonely and sterilized and emotion repressing (and to be clear, I love physics. This isn't me dunking on physics, just that it doesn't really feel like it fills the holes in Adrien's life that I think he has) (that being said, the idea of Adrien using phsyics knowledge to do some wacky stuff with his destructive powers is very appealing. I like him liking physics, just not necessarily going into it full time or it being his main passion?) _

 Adrien being a teacher is very appealing (not a professor, though. I think that's too academic. I like him being a collége/middleschool teacher). I think I'd probably rank it at the top of possible careers for him. Personally, since I'm weirdly averse to the physics thing (that I know is a little silly of me, but it just doesn't gel in my head), I like the idea of him being a piano or literature teacher. Piano for obvious reasons, and literature because I like the idea of Adrien really liking poetry / the parallels to Mme. Bustier.... but physics of course makes sense too >:P I'll just be a little pouty about it I like the idea of Adrien being That Teacher™, like the one that students would go to talk to about their personal lives and trust with sensitive information that they can't trust with other adults. I think that's also why I like the idea of him teaching piano or literature, because I guess in my experience, the teachers that tend to have that effect on students are the ones who lead the more emotionally-driven classes. It's easier to open up to a teacher who talks about feelings than one who doesn't, and it's more likely to hear a music or lit teacher discuss Feelings than a physics teacher. .... I'm sorry this is turning into a weird rant about physics adrien I promise I don't dislike it that much and it's honestly probably the most canon thing anyway so you're all right and i'm wrong lmao _

Stay at home dadrien is cute, I like it for the symbolism of it being the exact opposite of what Gabriel did when it came to raising Adrien. I like the idea of Adrien absolutely loathing the idea of having to tell his child "I can't play with you, I have to do work" because that's exactly the thing Gabriel would've said to him. That being said, while I think it'd be something Adrien would do for a few years while his kids are growing, I still think he'd probably want to do something else before he has kids / once his kids are old enough / etc. So I see it more as something supplementary to whatever else he does and not a complete picture on its own. _

 I always thought actor/theater!Adrien was a fun idea, though I think it's more something I like in AUs than what I'd actually want/expect from him in canon. Adrien canonically is a good actor, and as Chat Noir we know he has a lot of showboatiness in him. I think Adrien being a star in a musical would be so fun, and him being an actor is a nice connection to his mom. It's very similar to modeling, and acting also is technically something Gabriel makes him do, but at least he'd probably find it more fun than standing still for hours while people take pictures of him? Again, I think it's good for AUs but not necessarily what I'd default to his future being. I think generally he wants to get out of the limelight/stop being a celebrity, so obviously that doesn't quite fit. But it's fun! _

 Not something I really see as a career so much as a hobby, but I like the idea of Adrien getting kind of into photography. Something about him being behind the camera instead of in front of it feels symbolic and nice somehow. That, and that scene in Reflekdoll where it made a point that Adrien's picked up a lot of photography knowledge from all his time on sets? Idk. It's fun. _

 That one shot in wishmaker where he and plagg discuss opening a cheese shop together has never quite left my brain. Adrien hates smelly cheeses and Plagg would never be able to part with cheese being sold, I know, but that shot just stuck with me, okay? It's cute. I just want an AU where marinette works at a bakery and adrien works at a cheese shop and their shops are side by side and they have to do business together or something. Someone make it happen idk _

 Flower shop Adrien. I don't really have much to say about it other than it passes the vibe check. It's really cute and I love flower shop aus and he loves roses okay idk so sue me _

 Definitely more AU territory I think, but Adrien being Marinette's assistant is so juicy. Basically Adrien being Marinette's Nathalie.... I think it's fun, it fits them. I've thought a lot about a post-Hawkmoth defeat AU where Marinette and Adrien never met and Adrien applies to be her assistant at her start-up fashion company. He applies because he's desperate for work after the smearing of his name and has a lot of fashion-industry experience on his resume that he can use, and Marinette gives him the job because she feels guilty about Ladybug ruining his life. Also probably some "oh no i miss my partner who i lost after the final battle" stuff sprinkled in, idk, I'm nothing if not predictable. But the idea of Adrien being the one handling Marinette's schedule, of being the one to talk to her like "oh boss, you need a break! I scheduled a weekend off for you :) you seem stressed" and them gradually becoming BFFs.

But yeah, I'm not really completely married to any of these ideas. So if anybody has any other ideas on things he might do, I'd also love to hear them. I'm always thinking about this stuff.

Well, ummmm... 😅 Teekkari is a short form/nickname for a student of an institute of technology (teknillinen yliopisto in Finnish), and there's a whole teekkari culture related, which can on some levels be compared to the fraternities in North American colleges. Basically they love to party a lot, especially on these seated meal type of events called sitsit (sittning in Swedish where this is also a tradition, sitsfest in English), where singing all kinds of ridiculous songs is a major part of the festivities (alongside eating and drinking). From what I've understood, there are rules that you must follow during sitsit, and if you fail to follow them, the toastmaster will punish you somehow.

Vappu (Walpurgis Night / May Day) is an important day for teekkaris (and for other high school graduates); there are lots of city-specific traditions related to vappu, but mostly it's just an occasion to wear your graduation hat (a regular graduation hat is without the pompom) and your student overalls (+possibly collect badges for them), and to get drunk. The next day (May 1st), there's a picnic that everyone attends, terribly hangover.

If any of your non-Finnish peeps are still none the wiser about what the heck this is, keep on reading these brief ideas for teekkari AU standalones, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it 😁

What if Aleksi was a first year student and got cold during his freshman "christening" in the local river, so one of the older students Joel invites him for a sauna night at the teekkari guild's sauna to compensate for his struggles 😏 (the other teekkaris are not happy when they hear about this, because it's according to their teekkari guild's rules for older students to get intimate with freshmen or something like that, so Joel is punished by having to swim in in the chilly river himself, and soon it's Aleksi's turn to keep Joel warm 💓) (I just made up that rule lol I'm sure there's no such thing) (edit. I've been informed that a rule like this DOES indeed exists! 🤭)

What if Joonas and Olli were selling their university's vappu magazine together. They haven't really talked to each other a lot before, but standing in the muddy park during a sleet storm (it can be cold as FUCK around vappu) provides a great opportunity to bond and, well, maybe they'll see each other at the festivities later that night.. 😌

What if Niko kept breaking the rules at the sitsit he's attending, just because he thinks the toastmaster Tommi is smoking hot and Niko's maybe a little turned on by his punishments 🥴

What if Joonas lost his graduation hat during Walpurgis Night and finds out from Yodel that someone (Niko) has found it. When Joonas goes to the Yodel guy's apartment to fetch his hat a few days later, he realises it's the same guy he hooked up with after the last sitsit he went to 😳

What if Aleksi pretended to be completely clueless about the whole teekkari culture, just so that he could listen to Joel rambling about all the different events they'll organise during the semester 😇 Joel can't believe someone can be so innocent (pffffffft), so it's great Aleksi asked him and not the other guys, who would have been so much more ruthless 🤝

What if during the Independence Day torch procession, Olli accidentally sets his hat on fire 😂 (and Tommi has to give him a snow bath to put it out 🤭)

What if Joel is really not in the mood for sitsit right now and would much rather stay at this flat sulking, but his friends drag him to a one anyway because they think it'd be good for him. There, Joel sees Niko, who sings along to the sitsfest song so beautifully Joel forgets all the rules and completely embarrasses himself in front of Niko 🙈 Later, Niko asks Joel to write more new sitsfest songs with him 💕

What if after the sauna night of their teekkari guild, Joonas wakes up wearing someone else's teekkari overalls 🤨 They're waaaaaay too big for him, and the only other clue he has of who they might belong to are the different badges stitched on them 🤔

What if... oh, what if Olli and Aleksi made out on the livingroom sofa at the guild house, wearing their overalls.. only their overalls 🥵

So @musicfeedsmysoul12 made that post answering a fic title prompt, with the whole "izuku has a quirk that gives him a tail", they specifically mentioned a monkey tail. I love monkeys and I love Izuku so of course I tacked on and ended up assigning a monkey type, as well as aspects of the quirk, and how it changes/affects Izuku. Of course, I had to draw at least something for it. Doodles for Monkey Quirk! Izuku! Featuring a quickly put together design for his hero costume.

The original concept technically belongs to @musicfeedsmysoul12 and the anon who sent the prompt, but I was the one who added everything on about the quirk so under the cut I added some details, world building, and timeline changes that I thought of while I was drawing.

Quick warning, I wrote a lot.

I mentioned the monkey type he'd be most like are Capuchins, but that's more just a base of what the quirk is like, and not exactly what it replicates. Kinda like Hawks and Miruko. Hawks is named after just that, a hawk, but his wings don't have any specific bird-like features or patterns aside from having feathers. He really strays far from that, actually, with how the feathers work. Same with Miruko, she's not based on a specific kind of bunny or hare. She just has the standard ears, legs, and senses of one.

His body type would definitely be slimmer than canon Izuku, as his body had to adapt to the fact that he's constantly twisting and bending to get where he wants. Canonically, Izuku's body is a little too... I don't want to say stocky, but it's certainly not lithe. Make no mistake, this does not mean he lacks muscle. He has a lot more muscle in middle school than canon Izuku did at the time, this comes from constantly having to carry and swing his own body weight.

His entire body is covered in a thin layer of fur, but it's absent in his heels, palms, and under fingers on both his hands and feet. Fur would get in the way of gripping.

I kind of debated on which parent he gets the quirk from, because a mutation quirk like that has very low chances of being one a person can get with parents with non-mutant quirks. I decided on Hisashi. First of all, the idea just wouldn't leave my brain, and it was too cute. I headcanon Hisashi with white hair, so he'd just be this big fluffy white monkey and I couldn't let that go. Second, I think it'd be an interesting way for class 1A or others to learn about Izuku's dad in America by trying to speculate where Izuku got his quirk from. Sure, their face shapes are similar, they're both kind and emotional people, and both have green hair, but Izuku how the hell did you inherit a monkey mutation quirk from a low-range attraction one??

Honestly, I don't think Izuku would really have as many problems with bullying in this AU. Yes, people have speculated that mutant quirks are not exactly welcome wholly with open arms i the MHAverse, but Izuku's quirk is pleasing to look at. He's cute, and the quirk is actually pretty dang helpful. While people would poke fun at him, calling him hairy, or treat him like an animal or pull at his tail, it's certainly not enough to warrant suicide baiting. He'd definitely be self conscious of his quirk and appearance though. Honestly, most of it would be led by Bakugou like always, so it's not that anyone really sees Izuku as bad or anything of the sort, they're just following Bakugou's lead.

I also don't think he'd have the nickname Deku. Mutant quirks (or at least mutant features of quirks) had to be something that a person was born with, because honestly I find it very hard to believe that someone's body can change so drastically like that. That's bone that's actively changing and molding, not just skin, hair, cartilage, and brains. That would cause some serious health concerns, even in a world with powers like quirks. So Izuku was never really "useless" to Bakugou. He was helpful, he could climb trees other kids couldn't to get stuck toys. He could hear things even teachers didn't know about even through loads of kids yelling. He wouldn't have any reason to be called useless, because he earned the knowledge that at that time, he was more capable than the other kids. Maybe something like Ape, Gorilla, or even going really derogatory and referring to him like he's a freak in a circus act. Juggles, Freak, Hairy, Caveman. Those sorts.

I imagine Izuku would practice martial arts here, much like Ojiro. His quirk would certainly help him. He's be stuck close-range, with his fists and feet (and tail) so he'd have to learn how to actually fight, as opposed to people like Todoroki, who can blast fire and ice from a safe distance away. That's why he wears the fingerless gloves on his hands and feet in his hero costume, to protect the skin and fur if he's fighting or gripping. Bonus brass knuckles attached to the gloves on his hands for when he wants to throw a punch.

I don't see any possible way he could get his dreams crushed by All Might, much less have such an important question that would require him to grab onto his leg when he jumps. So Izuku more than likely doesn't get One For All, at least not before UA, if he ever does. I also don't think Izuku would idolize All Might so much. Yeah, he'd still admire the guy, but he'd probably be more focused on people like Hawks, Gang Orca, and Miruko. They have mutant quirks like his, they're people he can actively look up to. So even if he did have his dreams crushed by All Might, it certainly wouldn't affect him as much as it did in canon (not that it did much anyway lol, Izuku went right back to jumping into fights to save people)

The original prompt said that Ojiro would be a partner for Izuku, but I see some missed opportunities for ships with Shoji, or Tokoyami. Hell, I could even see it working out with Sero, Kirishima, and Asui.

Shoji and Tokoyami probably faced some bullying for their appearances. Shoji literally hides his entire lower face. Izuku would definitely be able to connect with them. Sero, in the fandom, has been called a Spiderman bootleg more times than I've drank water in my entire life. He'd definitely try to swing around for faster mobility and who best to help him with that than Izuku? They would so easily bond over teaching each other swinging tactics. Kirishima... it's kind of hard to put that into words, it just really feels like it could work in this AU. He;d be like a stable perch for Izuku, is I guess part of my thought process. And for Asui, well, she didn't have many friends in middle school. People often saw her as disturbing because of her struggle to express emotions through her face. Izuku faced something similar. The two would understand one another.

Though I still really like Ojiro pairing here too. Izuku would probably help him feel noticed, and we all know how compassionate and caring the greenette is. He'd be great for Ojiro.

Izuku would probably go for being an underground hero here? I also see him easily making it to at least the top 20 when he graduates, his quirk is pleasing to the eye and he's already great hero material in every way. But I also think he'd be an expert at sneaking into places that would normally be locked from access to heroes, seeing as he can pull and hold himself in places he could hide better in. I guess he'd be a twilight hero. Not quite underground, but not quite limelight. Just treading the line between them, kind of like Sir Nighteye.

That's all I have so far, but I love this so much. I definitely want to expand more on it and I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up writing something for it.
