i like to mentally cast actors for hypothetical adaptations of my favorite books. for YEARS now i have been searching for the perfect simon snow. i have some baz contenders but ive never found a perfect simon. i am pleased to announce that i have FINALLY FOUND HIM…. its walker scobell. he’d be a perfect simon snow.
if ester dean is a producer (one of the largest out there for pop & r&b) then why didn't she make any contracts with the ladies of pitch perfect? she worked with them constantly and saw their potential.
to this DAY i will never understand why anna Kendrick doesn't have more originals than 'when I'm gone' and idk if that even counts as an original.
I don't know a lot about the technicalities behind music but I've also thought Vessel is a musical genius, once I actively started listening to Sleep Token. So I thought the answer to the ask about his musical training was really interesting.
Do you think or do you know if he has an absolute pitch?
Hi! 🖤 ty for the ask! So... I did some deep diving to try and see if I could find anything on this. I couldn't find much, so I can't give a definitive answer, but I'm going to say it's very likely he has absolute pitch (or a very accurate relative pitch).
I did, however, find a bit more information about the previous ask about Vessel's musical training. One of my online friends found a self-written short bio from back when Vessel was offering piano lessons. The degree he completed was in commercial songwriting. He also admits to possessing a "relatively deep understanding of music from a theoretical perspective."
Unfortunately, he did not state anything about absolute/relative pitch in the bio he wrote, but he also strikes me as the type of guy not to brag about those skills. He seems very humble, and if anything he would most likely "show" rather than "tell," if you get my meaning.
Beca learning to crochet so she can put her nervous energy somewhere when she’s not making music and Chloe supporting her and absolutely loving all the little plushies and wearables Beca makes
*depressed Iharu sitting on a bench*
*Aoi and Haruichi come over and sit on either side of him*
*Few minutes of silence later*
Haruichi: Wah nee nah nu nee nu nee nu Wah nee nah nu nee nu nee nu-
Aoi: *Starts thumping out the beat on the wall behind them*
Iharu: . . .
Iharu: SHE'S GOT A SMILE THAT SEEMS TO ME, REMINDS ME OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES-!
i feel like itd be rlly funny if the reason why eddie didnt like steve before he met him wasnt any of that "oooo steve BULLIED him" fandom bullshit but that steve has like. natural musical talent that he doesnt really do much with bc he doesnt care or something. like steve was mindlessly doing polyrhythms just tapping pens on his desk in class or sth and eddie had to jump out the window
LMFAO it's like a disney channel episode dramatic plotline he hears steve singing bruce springsteen or something by himself in the locker room or something incredibly casually sophomore year and has to run out of the school to go practice deep breathing techniques in the woods telling himself over and over that metal vocalists don't have to sound "good" that's just another way they try and get you to grind yourself down in the machine but he's crying and punching trees. so upset. writes a song that says GOD HATES ME on the school bus ride home
currently in the throes of the rarest of rare (for me) phenomena: a weepy, wonderful, emotionally wrung-out media hangover because said media was THAT. GOOD.
That dragon fight had everything: frost giants, the power of suggestion, multiple explosions, the holy hand grenade of antioch, gnome curling, failed death saves, rage feeding healing potions, dismal dice rolls, guest HDYWTDT, and more!
There always seems to be one kid who just screams like a tornado siren, all day long, at any given opportunity. Like, kid, I love you, you are precious and deserve all the happiness in the world; but please for the love of god shut up. There are people trying to learn here and you’re not helping them or yourself.
