maybe i’m getting old but i see all those “ppl who run from twt to tumblr” things and how ppl keep saying that tumblr is dead and empty and... idk, but it feels so... nice here? calmer. measured. 

sure, i probably should mention that i’ve only been here for like a year, and wrangling editing is hell and UI is annoying as fuck but it beats getting pings every other second, having 180 tweets about things i genuinely couldn’t care less from ppl i don’t wanna see on topics i couldn’t care less about shoved down my throat because it’s ✨trending✨

granted, i live in my deep end with a handful of mutuals and enjoy simply yeeting my content out there in the void, so proooobably i miss most of the drama here - but gods above and heart of darkness below, i love it that way. if i want content, i’ll go snipe some content and then drag it into my own treasure trove, feeling like a particularly uninspiring dragon after surprisingly bontiful hunt. and from the looks of it, if the content is really good, it comes around anyway, so yay, my nest gets another shiny thing attached to the brambles and i can adore it.

frankly, i genuinely think about just deleting that sad twt profile and forget it even existed.

EDIT: also - NO FUCKING SYMBOL COUNT. that *alone* is worthy of my unending love and devotion because as a writer i hated that with such a burning passion and each time i go back and see that red number because i want to express myself, it makes me grind my teeth into a fine powder.
