these feelings reflect back in the chaste and hurried kisses he places on you, almost as if he's in a hurry. a flurry of quick kisses and brushes of his lips against your eyes, your forehead, your nose, your arms, your palms, the back of your palms, your stomach, your chest, your waist, your thighs, your legs, your ankles... what happened to him? what have you done to him?

and after the tournament and the wars when you finally arrive into his arms again, he feels indebted to the heavens for letting him see the glow of your face again. this is the only debt he doesn't want to pay back.

ArenOz Modern AU tings I keep thinking about and THEIR songs

Oz is mine, Aren is @whispersleo 's <3

-they’re always in between jobs, usually the cause of them being fired has something to do with the other (Oz won’t showing up to Aren’s Job, Oz leaving his job to check on Aren, etc)

-Oz’s parents hate Aren. The last time they saw Fim alive, Oz was strung out, and it led to a huge argument, which only got worse when the two showed up (uninvited) to Fim's funeral, and Oz and Aren were once again strung out. If it weren't for Zevran being there, Oz and Sten would have gotten into a knockout, drag-out fight.

-they have a lot of homemade matching tattoos/scars, one I am writing a short fic about and have art in the work for >:P

-the apartment is technically under Aren's name only so when they have their break ups, Oz is the only out looking for couches to crash onto (he's running out of couches)

-Emmrich has no idea how bad Oz and Aren are, he vaguely knows of Aren but no details as Oz never wants to go into detail (especially seeing as technically he's cheating on Emmrich with Aren and the other way around but in his messy brain it's totally fineeeeee)

-Oz is part of a cover band with Taash, Harding and Bas as the singer, on particularly bad nights he shows up to gigs completely wasted and refuses to sing anything but sad, heart broken songs (the worst part is those are always his best performances)

-Bas tries to check in on the two as much as he can, knowing he can't fix them but at least hopes they are alive (He and Lucanis get into a lot of arguments about the two) ((omg threesome between them all at one point??))(((WITH LUCANIS AND ILLARIO?!?!)))

-their apartment is a hazard like it's bad, one time Bas tried to help at minimum clean it enough so there were pathways to walk but ended up getting hospitalized after getting stuck with a dirty needle (He was fine and lied to protect the toxic yaoi couple and yet again, got into a huge argument with Lucanis over it)

-they get noise complaints all the damn time. Either fucking or screaming, these two quanri do not give a fuck bout anyone else in the damn apartment

-and here's some of their songs :3 (cause of course I got the music brainrot with them too)

I’ve made some edits to my AU master doc that don’t warrant their own posts, but that I want to share anyway. So here’s the patch notes:

In kaldorei culture, it’s customary to bring small amounts of food and/or alcohol when visiting someone else’s home. This custom also happens to be shared with the pandaren and tauren.

The kaldorei have domesticated goats derived from mountain goats of northern and central Kalimdor, and a small species of deer, which provide both meat and milk.

Added a note in the War of Thorns recap that I’m still working out the finer details of why and how Teldrassil happened.

Kaldorei music includes but is not limited to (in broad terms) drums, pipes, flutes, their own varieties of lutes, and sometimes an instrument made of a large, hollow tree branch akin to a didgeridoo/yidaki.

The kaldorei use a lunisolar calendar with twelve months of twenty-eight days each, following the phases of Elune while also tracking the seasons. The new year starts in spring. Leap years occur every two or three years and add a thirteenth month. (This is inspired by the Chinese and Ojibwe calendars)

((To make things easier for myself I'm just going to make Azeroth orbit its sun and rotate at the exact same rate as Earth, and make the timing of Elune's phases occur at the same rate as our moon's. The Blue Child remains unaccounted for, for now.))

I also added sections on Pandaria, the pandaren, and their language. They're pretty short at the moment but for Pandaren the language, I've added:

Pandaren is extremely varied, with countless local dialects and accents even within one region. Someone from the northern Jade Forest may find a southerner’s accent difficult to parse at times, or feel the need to ask for rephrasing should they hear a word new to them.

Some argue the Wandering Isle dialect should be considered its own language, as the isolation from the mainland has led to so much divergence in both the spoken and written language that complex mainlander/islander conversations can be outright impossible.

Pidgins of a sort are extremely common among traders and other travelers such as Lorewalkers and the shado-pan.

I'm also gonna make a post on shadowmelding and tangentially the Wardens sometime soon. I'm supposed to be working on a comm today so I'm gonna do that first though lol
