So I disappeared for 2 months, but I finally completed this project! :D
(Though I've been making some random posts talking about it, so it's not like I was really gone, or what I was working on wasn't obvious.)
It started off as me having trouble keeping track of a couple gender terms (and also not knowing they existed before, since I've never really seen people talk about them), then I thought I should make a list, and if I was going to do that I might as well post it to help other people too. Which I started out trying to make that list on Tumblr, but I found it too limiting so I moved to google docs, which I also found too limiting (I just couldn't achieve my vision, if you will), and now I know html and css.
As usual, I kinda overdid it, but I think I should be a little proud of myself. I had 0 knowledge of html and css, and 2 months later I've made my own website.
(I could have made it much quicker, but I often had to take breaks, a bit overwhelmed by all that new stuff.)
Anyways, it has a ton of terms on there.
I have sections for nonbinary, abinary, midbinary, atrinary, midtrinary, androgyne, agender, neutrois, maverique, ilyagender, aporagender, outherine, kenochoric, and xenogender.
For 7 categories (sex terms, adult, general term, child, gender quality, gender-quality-in-nature genders, and spectrum / -iagender spectrum).
And they all have sources on both Archive Today, Wayback Machine, and if still existing, the original post too. (At least to the best of my abilities, and there are a couple of exceptions that I couldn't figure out.)
I did put effort into this, but it's possible I missed something. So if I made a mistake anywhere, or if anyone has any extra information to add on, or if you just have some comments, you can tell me. My ask box is open, but comments on this post would probably be fine too.
Also, I checked on a couple of different browsers, mobile too, and read up on web accessibility and checked and all that (I tried using a screen reader, I'm not a pro at it though, so it's possible I may have missed something obvious), so I hope the website itself is useable. But if there's any bugs there, just tell me (it'll be appreciated).
I'm also thinking of making another compilation, but for flags (for all of the terms listed here), and maybe orientations too, but maybe later haha
I also don't know how to write a image id for the top picture, if anyone wants to write to one I'll add it.

Below the cut is a short little video scrolling through the site.
if yall want to have fun on the internet while feeling like apart of a community you should join neocities and make your own personal website im so srs.
you’ll need to learn html coding but there are loads of free templates you can use! this layout generator is a great place to start, and neocities also has their own starter guide. i promise coding is not as scary as it looks, once you learn the basics it is rewarding & fun!
having a personal website on neocities is like having a little virtual house that you can freely customise how you want then you can go and visit other ppls virtual houses. it’s comfy, slow-paced and very welcoming compared to current social media.
if you don’t want to join, i still recommend checking out peoples websites ^_^ they are interactive works of art! keep in mind most are best viewed on a computer rather than mobile.
here is my website if you’d like to check it out :3
actually. now that im thinking of it- if youd like to be on a tag list for dead meat & other/future writing of mine, do reply to this post. if you cant think of anything to say, just send me your favorite emoji LOL
pssst. hey. hey you. this is your sign to go make a neocities.
i might make this into its own site sometime to include pictures of all the resources too, but for now, it's a pastebin of organized links to resources with descriptions. go wild!!
it's all html with some css, so it should work with co host and other website makers.
Twisted Roots is a forum focused on mystery of the real world and wanting to understand them. The paranormal, unsolved crimes, those creepy stories you tell at sleep overs... Talk to others about strange things and maybe even understand them further.. or discover something new yourself?
Check back for updates on new threads every so often, read the interactions between users, and slowly put together stories within the world. Some may be more important than others.
besides sheezy, what sites would you recommend for art publishing and something more personal, like a blog?
it kinda depends on your intentions. for art publishing are you looking for smth casual or professional? in terms of a casual art site, sheezy is the only one i fw personally cuz it ticks off the boxes i look for in an art gallery site. theres others like artfol and inkblot, but i don't really like them because they function like insta/twit/social media For Artists ™️ to me.
for professional sites, i’ve heard of cara. i suppose it’s like artstation, but in retaliation of their dumb AI image generator rules. It looks like a nice portfolio site if you’re looking for work.
now when it comes to personal blogs, i’d always suggest making your own website. like i’d suggest neocities, wordpress, weebly etc. weebly is nice and beginner friendly because you don’t have to code. (although i would still learn HTML in general when it comes to website creation, but i digress lol) And then there’s blog sites like blogspot, tumblr, and dreamwidth (i think its more on the journaling/literature side cuz it’s an alternative to livejournal) and don’t forget about setting up RSS feeds and newsletters to keep your audience updated on your new posts.
(update: you can now read it on its own site!) (or here on tumblr: next page ->)
I've wanted to make a webcomic since I was a kid and now I'm finally taking that leap (on leap day)! follow along with me and my brand new OCs as I attempt to improvise a whole comic page by page (the only way I can get myself past the planning stage is to skip it entirely, which is a flawless plan.)
asking what someone's "Webtoon" is about instead of their web comic, or asking if someone has a "Neocities" instead of a website is like your grandma calling your Xbox "a Nintendo".
genuine question why do people think neocities is going to save the internet I understand it is a powerful tool when it comes to preserving the old web and I'm not against using it but why is it that anytime somebody says the internet has just become another engine for monetisation and websites that are necessities are also pretty much unusable now people just start screaming about building a neocities
The girls discovered some more new tech over the past few updates, so once again the peanut gallery has some tips and comments. ningyo-chan cheeeeckkkkk~!
