"abinary people can be gay, lesbian, veldian & straight" & "orientations that are explicitly inclusive of abinary people need more visibility and to be taken more seriously" are two statements that can and should coexist.
i see way too much "abinary people can be lesbian etc." and not nearly enough people lifting up orientations that are more explicit in our genders or in people's attraction to us. tbh, this is true for midbinary genders too. there's way more "nonbinary people can use [orientation with binary connotations]" and not enough "look at these orientations that honour us".
trixic, toric, enbian and other mestric labels for specific genders deserve as much love as lesbian, sapphic, gay, achillean, veldian.
not to forget there are many people who are both! for some people, "gay" just doesn't tell the full story and they might identify as a toric gay specifically.
all abinary experiences of orientation deserve visibility.

Nonbinary equivalents to boy/girl man/woman (help)
So far I've only found,
enby, enban, nonbin, for nonbinary,
mav, mave, uni, maver, maveri, mavan, for maverique.
xip and xenan for xenogender.
I don't know of any others, specifically I'm missing words for midbinary, abinary, atrinary, androgyne, agender, neutrois, aporagender and outherine.
Does anyone know anything?
Also, about androgyne, I know of boygirl and manwoman, however I'm not sure if they are exactly androgyne equivalents of boy/girl and man/woman. Any androgyne individuals who can share their opinion on this?

I know a lot of people have question about the different between the different outherine genders/qualities, so I'm making this post to explain them as much as I can:
Aporinity
[PT: Aporinity]
A quality for genders defined as being separate from male, female, and anything in between, while still being a strong and specific gendered feeling.
It can be both a specific quality or an umbrella term for qualities that are comgender and abinary.
It is not:
Feminine, masculine, epicene, femmuline or androgynous
A lack of gender
Beyond the concept of gender
Aporagender can be:
Comgender neutral (and when it's purely neutral is not outherine)
Relative to neutrality and other non-outherine abinary qualities
relative or comparable to femininity, masculinity, etc
Born of the combination of a brand new quality and a neutrality or of one of those with one of the main qualities.
Some specifically aporine genders are:
aporagender
Aporaique
Aproxora
Maverinity
[PT: Maverinity]
A quality for genders, like maverique (from which is derived) characterised by:
Gender autonomy
A strong sense of gender
The lack of any kind of connection to pre-existent qualities
It's not:
Xenine
Beyond the concept of gender
The lack of gender
A combination of genders
Derived from pre-existent midbinary or abinary concepts
Some maverine genders are:
Maverique
Gendermaverick
Maveresque
Mavraen
Proxveri
Autonominity or gender autonomy
[PT: Autonominity or gender autonomy]
This quality refers to genders characterised by:
Independent.
Self-determination.
Being defined by oneself, without the imposition of outside structures and authorities.
The re-definition of pre-existent qualities, gender and roles through a personal, individual lens.
In this last point lies the difference between this quality and maverinity; while maverinity is only itherine, autonominity/gender autonomy can be umbine or preterine too.
This can also be used as an umbrella term for all the qualities charaterised by autonomy, including maverine genders.
Some autonomine genders are:
Autonomique
Egogenders (autonine)
Maverine genders
Alithix (As it's defined by personal authenticity)
Ilyaginity
[PT: ilyaginity]
It refers to genders, like ilyagender (from which is based) with:
A tangible presence of gender
Fully disconnected from pre-existent qualities/concepts
Some ilyagine genders are:
Ilyagender
Proxilya
Ilyaen
Autoninity
[PT: Autoninity]
It referse to qualities an genders characterised by being exclusive of an individual person (or system)-
These genders are collectively called egogenders and are characterised by:
Complete autonomy from pre-existent concepts
Individuality and personal autheticity
Relation to one's personhood or systemhood.
Self-determination
Perainity
[PT: perainity]
A quality for genders characterised by:
A complete disconnection to the fem/masc/neu trinary
The presence of gender
The lack of confusion or apathy regarding one's gender.
It's not:
Feminine, masculine, neutral or any combination between them.
Agender or quoigender.
Some peraine genders are:
Péra or Peragender
Peraique
Proxpera
Atraeninity
[Pt: Atraeninity]
This quality exist in relation to both masculinity and femininity, but rather than existing in between or as a combination of them, as it's the case of androgyny, epicenity, effemininity or femmulinity; it exists in opposition and confrontation to/with them, as if forming a triangle.
Here a quick graphic I made visually explaining the relation between femininity, masculinity, androgyny, epicenity and altraeninity:
Tumblr media
Altraeninity is characterised by:
Being midbinary.
Being described by a sense of "pure androgyny
A feeling that your gender "matches" femininity and masculinity or male and female, while not being derived in any way from them
A sense of gender
There are also qualities, like Ambiguity/ambiguinity, pandrogyny, ainulinity, aineminity, etc that can be considered ouherine or not. I'll put them in a different post.

Impargirl
[pt: Impargirl /end pt]

[id: a rectangular flag with 11 equally-sized vertical lines. colors in this order from left to right: black-purple, dark purple, grey-purple, grey-pink, light pink, white, light pink, grey-pink, grey-purple, dark purple, black-purple. /end id]
Impargirl: a gender where one is a girl in a weird, odd, or strange, subverted, fucked up, incomprehensible way. one isn’t aligned with girlhood or femininity, & is completely removed from cisnormativity, (possibly heteronormativity), & human concepts of girls/women. this gender may be related to alterhumanity/nonhumanity, may be xenic/XIN (xenine in nature), kenic/KEIN (kenochoric in nature), outheric /OUIN (outherine in nature), & possibly male-aligned/MAIN (male in nature) in a weird, subverted way, but doesn’t have to be.
Etymology: “impar” latin for odd, girl

I've decided to start this year's coining sesion by adding to more terms to my "Let's put a name to every specific type of outherine experience" list.
Today is the turn of "Distinct, but comparable to pre-existent gender qualities" and I'll focus on those gender qualities that while being their own thing, they can be comparable to midbinary qualities.
Umbininity
Umbine genders and qualities are those that, while distinct and different from femininity, masculinity, androgyny, epicenity and femmulinity, still can be comparable to those concepts.
Examples of umbine qualities could be:
Ainulinity (when it's seen as a distinct quality) - A quality comparable to masculinity.
Aineminity (when it's seen as a distinct quality ) - A quality comparable to femininity.
Altraeninity - A quality comparable to androgyny. Made with genders defined by "pure androgyny" or "third gender androgyny" in mind.
Ambigui(ni)ty - Can be considered umbine, because it's a distinct gender quality that's comparable to both androgyny and epicenity
I also consider that, when viewed as a distinct quality and not just as a term for femme manhood, effemininity/effeminacy could be considered umbine, because it's "distinct, but comparable to both femininity and masculinity". At least, that's how I define it for myself.
Umbine comes from "umbe" an obsolete English preposition meaning "aroud, about. After"
I haven't made a flag yet.
P.S: I'm thinking on also making a label for outherine qualities that can be comparable to non-outherine abinary qualities, but I haven't think of a term yet.
I might create subsets in the future to classify umbine qualities further depending on the midbinary quality they can be comparable to. But for now, there's just this one generic term.

flag id: three flags with 5 stripes. the left flag's stripes are faded orange, soft yellow-orange, pale yellow-green, dull light purple, and dull purple. the middle flag's stripes are faded orange-red, soft orange, pale yellow-orange, dull light turquoise, and dull turquoise. the right flag's stripes are faded teal, soft green, very light yellow, dull light purple-pink, and dull purple-pink. end id.
banner id: a 1500x150 teal banner with the words ‘please read my dni before interacting’ in large white text in the center. end id.
altraenine | ainuline | ainemine
anon asked for an alternate altraenine flag and i decided to also make alternate ainuline and ainemine flags! the originals can all be found here.
since these describe outherine gender qualities that are distinct from but comparable to androgyny, masculinity, and femininity respectively, i took some inspiration from the outherine flag for the top three stripes of each, specifically using colors that were different from the bottom two. the bottom two stripes represent the gender quality they can be compared to, desaturated to represent not exactly being that quality.

every single queer term relating to gender is turned into some binary bullshit and i'm tired. like why do you all hate people who don't fit the binary so much.
when transsexual was the term for trans men and trans women, transgender was coined mainly and mostly to describe people outside the binary.
then the aptobinaries decided they didn't like transsexual anymore and took over transgender. which, at this point, is almost as binary as transsexual used to be.
nonbinary people are constantly divided into transmascs and transfems, into amabs and afabs, into boy nonbinaries and girl nonbinaries.
genderqueerness suddenly needs to include aptobinaries despite it being an old term synonymous with nonbinary. genderqueerness suddenly needs to include aptobinaries in order to not alienate them, but instead alienate those the term was created by and for. despite "gender nonconforming" being right there.
just say you hate us and go. just say you want to centre the gender binary and aptobinary people in everything that was created by and for those of us outside of the binary. you all took over transgender, then nonbinary, then genderqueer, the last identity i have left and all because you think that "everyone is a little bit genderqueer" in the same way ableists say that "everyone is a little bit autistic", because you think "your gender doesn't need to be genderqueer to be genderqueer, you just need to dislike the gender binary", in the same way radfems say "you don't need to be attracted to women to be lesbian, it's enough to dislike men".
stop turning our identities into ideologies and stances. all of this was created by us out of marginalisation and taken over by those with aptobinary privilege over us.
genderqueer and gender nonconforming aren't the same thing. if you're always, fully and exclusively either male or female, this term was not made for you.
nothing has ever felt as much like home as a genderqueer identity and you all wanna centre the binary in it. stop.

Updated views on "third gender" because I'm fully ready to put the feelings I've had to words.
I don't want to use it to describe myself anymore. Me, being aliagender/aporagender, do have a gender separate from man and woman, but it is not third. Because many other genders have existed before it. The term "third gender" is binarist, and is akin to calling all non-democrat, non-republican political parties third parties even when there are more than one. It also ignores that some people who are in between masculinity and femininity might feel they have a gender of their own, and just because it is a combination of the two or lies in between them doesn't make it not it's own thing. So I do not want to describe myself this way
I have also learned a lot more about how it's been used not to self identify, but more often to speak on other cultures and label their genders as "third" by comparing them to white european culture. It is, as the coiner of Maverique said, "prescriptivist" (quotes because it was their words, not because I'm mocking them). As such, I do not feel comfortable using it, even if I myself live in a binary gendered culture.
WITH THAT SAID, I still think people who say "nonbinary isn't a third gender" (or in some cases I've even seen "nonbinary isn't a magical third gender") are usually being shitty 9 times out of 10, because the way they use the statement isn't to point out that the term third gender is colonialist, but to erase the existence of nonbinary people who have genders that are fully not "man" and fully not "woman" and have no relation to them. To invalidate being attracted to nonbinary people because all nonbinary people are just men and/or women or agender. To defend the existence of nonbinary people who are men and/or women, at least partially, at the expense of nonbinary people who aren't (if you wanna say "nonbinary is an umbrella term for identities like bigender, genderfluid, demigenders, androgyne, and agender" after saying it's not a third gender, you gotta add maverique, aporagender, and/or outherine to the list, and why not throw in xenogender too). The very real and valid critiques of the colonialist usage of third gender does not change my mind on the erasure of outherininty, maverinity, and aporinity.
