very sad still see the saria/silence divorce headcanon still going around
have you ever tried to consider that they never dated before lone trail because it would be unrealistic with the timeline and the events and also because it would be overshadowing the actual truth of why they couldn't get along
#i'll elaborate#firstly it's ok if you headcanon this i don't want to invalidate what people think#it's just that I think it's a fanon joke that have been going around for way too long#and I can't help but shed a small tear when I see people really headcanoning it#I personally think it's way more interesting if we consider that they never had something going on before Lone Trail#mostly because it's weird that they started dating in like some months when they barely knew or saw each other#but also because it adds nothing but just makes things even more harder for them#my personal headcanon is that Silence was maybe having feelings for Saria but like#you know these very premature feelings#like just “oh wow she's pretty and nice”#but nothing like really deep#but they never had anything going on before the diabolic crisis#and after lone trail after they made up and saw each other's true person#they start to actually get real feelings#I'm just complaining but I've been still seeing it around somehow and it's sad to me that this joke became a fact for many people#there's still a lot of fanfics about how they had been dating and now they're on bad terms#I think that going on the “they're exes” route is way too easy and actually hides the potential and interesting reason#of why Silence was mad at Saria#it's not because she hates Saria or blame her#it's because she's mad at herself for being so weak#really making them appear as exes just hides this really interesting truth and makes it all seem to be a sad love story#consider that they never had any of this and that this tension between them is because they blame themselves!!#their story is not a love story but above all a story about self love and acceptance#just my two cents enjoy my rambling i go back to bed now#(not putting this in the main tag I don't want to start a war I'm just rambling)

Saria, Hilda, Mipha, Zelda and Link e. relationship with the reader who possesses the healing power. However, this gift carries collateral damage: whenever the reader performs a cure, he himself ends up getting sick and feeling bad. (Zelda and Link from Breath of the Wild)
S/O's healing power has bad side effects
Tumblr media
[ HEADCANONS ] [ Hilda, Mipha, Zelda, Link ]
[ A Link Between Worlds ] [ Breath of the wild ]
Tumblr media
Cuteeee I loved writing this a lot!! It gives me some comfort too so thank you A-chan ❤️
I had to left Saria out, so sorry for it but I hope you like the ones i wrote!
Tumblr media
Hilda
Lorule is a really hostile land, not only the monsters and world itself but also the people tent to be aggresive, and Hilda is the one on charge of taking care of the kingdom, even if most people don't care about the royal family that doesn't stop her from wanting the best for her people
Having to rule a kingdom infested with dangers and that most of the time doesn't respect her title it isn't easy, the weight she has to carry on her shoulders is inmense that is why she rely on you and Ravio in her more vulnerable moments, only you two are able to see all of her, and that is why she despises your hability
Honestly, having the power to heal all kind of injuries are a really good one, and she wouldn't blame you if you want to use that power to help others, something like that could bring a little bit of light to everyone's life and thats good, the problem is the collateral damage, everytime you use your power you are the one feeling bad, either just feeling bad or really getting sick equivalent to the wound you've healed
Hilda despise the fact that you are the one feeling bad, you become someone so precious for her and she hates seeing you suffer like this, she will totally understand your wish to help, she feels the same but she rather take that pain herself than watching you suffer by trying to help
Lorule is suffering a lot, everyone lives with the fear of being attacked, they are just try surviving before the inminent collapse of the kingdom, destruction is in Lorule fate and Hilda can't help to cling onto the little hope she has, and you are part of that hope, because of that she is terrified by the idea of losing you
Hilda had asked you more than once to don't use your powers, but is probably that she doesn't fully explain her reasoning and just ask it as a favor, but if you insist on using your power to help other she will become more angry and will be more agressive, demanding you to stop, what lead the two of you to argue because she just don't tell you why. Still, at some point she will explain how terrified she is, how much it hurt her seeing you feeling so bad because of your power
Even after, thanks to Zelda and Link, Lorule has it's own triforce again she will still be uncomfortable with you using your power, it would take a long time before she feels more comfortable with it, but will never like it (but at least this time she can take the time to take care of you herself, and won't accept a no as answer)
Tumblr media
Mipha
Mipha is a really caring and loving person, she is always looking after the well-being of her kingdom and specially for those who she loves, and that includes you
At first she found quite funny and even a little cute the fact that you have a healing powers just as her, but soon she will undestand the side effects that you have to carry with yours she will grow really worried imediatly. She wants to ask you about it but is nervous, so she'll just end up learning about it by watching you and asking you as much as she can, but will do it gently and assuring you that you don't have to tell her everything if you don't want, in case is something that you don't like talking about
Mipha finds herself worring a lot about you for this side effect but won't really stop you from using your power if that is really what you want, she can understand that feeling of wanting to help since she feels the same, besides she doesn't feel with the right to tell you to don't put yourself at risk with your power since she usually does put herself in danger for being a champion
Despide how worried Mipha is about you, whenever you use your power she can't help but also feel proud of you, wanting to help even if you are the one who end up feeling sick, she can't stop smiling at you whenever she sees you or she gets to heard about you helping others, but always make sure to ask you how do you feel afterwards
Everytime you use your power Mipha always tries to be there for you, asking you how do you feel and if there is anything she can do for you, even if you don't feel too bad she is still worried about you, it would take her a while to get used to the side effects and to learn to identify when it has affected you too much, and when the effects are too bad she offers to heal you herself
As much as worry her she will let you continue using your power if you really want, she will only ask you to please stop when it start to affect you too much, either by you getting seriously sick or hurt by using it or that you been using your hability too much, also if you don't let yourself have a proper rest to recover, even if is just when it causes you small discomforts she will try to be more stern and ask you to please stop, at least for a while to let your body recover, she is just really worried for you, she loves you and hates seeing you in pain
Tumblr media
Zelda
Zelda is a really caring person but the idea of failing at her duties as the princess stop her from opening with others, most of the time she shows herself only to the most closest ones and even when she tries to keep her composture with the champions (her friends) and you, you can easily see through her
Thats is why pretty much all of them can see how bothered she is with the side effect of your hability, Zelda does admire your healing power and think is really useful but the fact that you have to suffer from it makes her feel uneasy, she tries to say that its okay, is your hability and you must use it as you please but you can see that she is just lying
For Zelda is difficult to feel comfortable enough to open her heart to someone, even when she isn't the best to keep a facade when she starts to feel more comfortable she doesn't say it directly, but since you two are dating she feels like she can actually show you her true self, and that carries a insecurity, fearing that you either leave her or something happen to you and the side effect of your hability only trigger her insecurities
Honestly, she would be jealous of you if it wasn't because of the side effect, you can use your healing power so naturally that would make her feel even more as a failure if it wasn't because you have to carry a collateral damage everytime you use it, having to suffer instead of the other person, she finds it completely unfair and she would prefer if you don't use your hability anymore because of it, but she won't say it right away
Everytime you use your power on her she feels really guilty, even if she never is the one asking for help and is you who insist on doing it she feels like if, somehow, it were her fault, feeling impotent since now you have to suffer the consecuenses of her inexperience and foolishness, and even when she doesn't say how she feels you can tell from the look on her face
Despide being busy Zelda always tries to make time for you two or keep you close, so everytime she sees you using your power she ask you how do you feel afterwards and always makes sure you take proper care of yourself, and whenever the damage it causes you is worst than the usual pain she will force you to stop and take time to rest, trying to be herself who takes care of you, and you can see how anxious she feels about all of this
Sometimes she thanks you for your hard work, thanking you for being selfless and helping people even if that means you carry with the pain, she just wants you to know that despite how much it bothers her seeing you in pain she does appreciate the sacrifice you are doing
Tumblr media
Link
Link express himself better by actions rather than with words, so, despite being busy or in the danger, he tries to keep you close to him, it is kinda comforting for him to have you around and he always tries to let you know how much he loves your presence
Link finds fascinating your healing power, it really can come in handy sometimes, and finds admirable the fact that you decide to just endure the pain it causes you having to use your power, however that doesn't make him less worried
He is in the disjunctive of being worried for you and your own safety (since puts at risk for trying to help others) but also finding admirable that you are willing to endure that to help others, even if you don't use your power frequently still the few times you do it you still have to endure pain
Link hates seeing you in pain but doesn't think that he has the right to ask you to don't use your power, is your hability and you must use it if you want, so he decide to help you in other ways, making sure you are always safe and taking care of yourself, as well as protect you from anything else
Even when he doesn't say anything you can see how much Link actually worries about you for the way he look at you everytime you have to suffer from the side effect of your hability, how he holds you close to him or how all his attention in on you, trying to come with a way to help you out but without wanting to take his eyes out of you
He feels bad everytime you use you power on him, it makes him feel slighly guilty, thinking that maybe if he wasn't so reckless, if he payed more attention or reacted faster, maybe you wouldn't being here healing his wounds, even when it isn't the case he feels like if he was the one inflicting you that pain, even if is just a little bit (he sometimes insist on you not helping him when he has bigger wounds because he doesn't want to inflicting you so much pain, but most of the time just give up when you insist)
However, this whole situation will affect him more if it is after the cataclism, after waking up Link feels like a stranger in the world, he doesn't have anything because all he once knew is far long ago, and worst because he doesn't even remember it, so right now he just cling a little to the comfort your presence brings him, having someone to love and who love him in return despite everything helps him feel less like an stranger, that is why it makes him really anxious everytime he sees you in pain because of your power (or in general)
In that case he would prefer if you don't use your power because it makes him fear that something will happen to you and take you away from him, and at some point he will tell you all his worries, he knows he is stronge but he doesn't has the same confidence on himself as he used to, so he just fears that someday maybe he won't be able to protect you
In this case he feel even more bad about you using your power on him but never fails in thanking you, but grows more clingy afterwards, wanting nothing but hold you close to him to reasure him that nothing bad will happen to you (and he makes sure to take good care of you, sometimes over react a little but he does it with the best intention)

Linked Universe as Hunger Games Victors Let's Go!
(I might make this an Au it depends on how much I would be able to explore with it, some things will change over time but the district should stay the same- Also feel free to send me suggestions! This needs a little TLC)
Time and Wild- District 11: Agriculture.
Time won his hunger games as a child and sort of became a huge celebraty in the capitol. Is most well known for his stature and cold attitude, wich became his defining trait when he grew up. Used to hate people from other districts (Saria died in the games when he was a kid). But as he grew up he realizes that the President and those in power are the ones to blame. He still has nightmares about Saria, and when he remembers what happened to Lullaby, who was in the games with him.
Wild, before his games, was much like his mentor. Distant and serious. Despite his prickly nature, he managed to get along with his fellow tribute, Flora and even made an alliance with four other tributes from other districts. They were ment to team up against another group, but there plan failed and there was an explosion that took out a large part of the arena. Wild was severely injured, he managed to survive but sadly lost his memories. It doesn't stop him from living his life though. He's a lot more open now, trying to make friends wherever he can and learing new recipes. Time is his quinea pig, much to the older man's simultaneous enjoyment and terror, as some of the stuff he comes up with is...concerning...
Malon and Twilight- District 10: Livestock.
Malon won her games when she was in part due to her strength and her charm during interviews. Despite being in different districts, Malon and Time are pretty close. (Capitol gossip states they're star crossed lovers brought together by shared trama. Partially true, but theres more than meets the eye going on in those hidden smirks and side glances) They understand each other, as Victors and as Mentores.
Twilight went into his games with Minda Malon was their mentor. Him and Midna had an alliance, but things went south, and she didn't make it. Twilight tries his best to be there for her family (like how Peta said he and Katniss would give their share of money to those who saved them) but they can't really look at each other without thinking of what happened. He blames himself. Malon stays with him some days because she's the only one who understands, both what it means to win and what it means to lose someone. Twilight just tries to go about his days, taking care of animals and Colin and the others.
Sky and Warriors- District 2: Masonry
Warriors was the result of a forbidden love between a Peacekeeper and a District woman, of course, when the capitol found out both were killed, leaving Warriors to fend for himself as hisnlother sucessfully hid him. He worked illegally in a factory till he was reaped at 17 and found a mentor in Sky.
Sky had been raised his whole life to become a Peacekeeper, he was enrolled in an academy to become one until he fell in love with the Headmasters Daughter. Coincidently, that year their relationship came into light was the year he was reaped (Probably intentional on the capitols part). Sky ended up winning his games due to his training and his emotional story about the love of his life gaining him fans.
Sky and Warriors have more of a brotherly bond, if anything. Due to them being close in age and their backgrounds with the peacekeepers.
Four- District 3: Technology.
Four grew up in District 3 with Dot. Four's Grandfather was a well known Inventor and Dot's father was the mayor.
Four was always an ambitious person, but he was also looked down on a lot. For his district, for his height, his personality. Dot never looked down on him though, so when he was reaped he knew he had to do his best to come home, to prove everyone wrong once and for all. And he did. But upon coming home he found his Grandfather had died while he was in the games. Now he stays in his house most days, tinkering on something, only coming out if absolutely nessary.
Hyrule- District 12: Mining.
Hyrule is a street rat from District 12. For the most part growing up he'd do odd jobs to survive, most of it in the black market doing illegal medical pratices. His plan was to hold out till he was old enough to become an apprentance to a doctor, but he didn't have to. He was reaped with Aurora, who volunteered as tribute in Dawn's place. Hyrule and Aurora managed to make it very far in the games, becoming one of the final three. Sadly Aurora fell victim to one of the capitals traps and passed. Now Hyrule and Dawn live together, connected by shared loss.
Legend- District 1: Luxury.
Legend was abandoned by his Grandfather after the death of his parents and left to be taken care of by his uncle. They weren't rich by any means, but they made due with what they had. Then his uncle died. Legend tried to reach out to his family and was eventually taken back in at his sister's (Fable's) request. His Grandfather didn't like him, so he was still mistreated. Once the reaping took place his classmates, Marin and Ravio got chosen. Legend, not wanting to see his friends hurt volunteered in Ravio's place and made a promise to Marin that theyd keep each other safe. If only he could have kept that promice.
Wind- District 4: Fishing.
Wind's Grandmother was a Victor in her games, the money from which us what he and Aryll lived on growing up. So, when his Grandmother becomes sick and money becomes tight, wind volunteers for the next reaping (much to the anger of a certain "Pirate Queen"). His mentor is Linebeck, They didn't get along at first, Wind found his affinity for alcohol and arrogant nature as something that wouldn't help his chances of winning. But Linebeck has more up his sleeve then the little sailor knows. They had a promise that if wind doesn't make it, linebeck will take care of Aryll and his Grandmother for him.

Mmk, I'll try my best with Ho'ol's personality. I can't guarantee accuracy, though, mainly because while I have read the current event story that she features in; that does not mean i comprehend it well. The same goes for her file and voice lines, but I do enjoy listening to her.
But to start off with something easy, she is the type of lady to tease, or at the very least sound like she's teasing even if her words are ones that will piss people off or it's threatening and a little murdery, until the person she teases either gets flustered, can be out of anger, or can't take it anymore, most likely out of anger, only to then slip away from their grasp with satisfaction, like a cat that ate the canary. Hoolheyak is a manipulative, conniving, smug bitch (affectionate), who does not have a single problem with deceiving, antagonizing, backstabbing others if it means that she will get closer to her current interests, goal, or even just because she can, and she is unapologetic about it and may enjoy it even.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FvCM7NfWcAIucr3?format=jpg&name=large
(^ Hool getting grabbed by another person, Saria, more or less because she kept provoking her during their fight, and the first thing she said as this happened was, "Oh dear, looks like I've lost." Anyways, she looks very pretty and smug like this.)
You could try and say that she's crazy, though that's not really the case. Then again, the line between the knowledgeable and the insane is blurred. But like I wouldn't blame her for that given that her entire bloodline/race(?) screwed her and those born in it with vast knowledge of their history and glory of their past only to then be doomed with a shortened lifespan and a mission that is impossible to complete the moment that they are born and that is if they're lucky enough to survive the magic surgery implant thing on their brain that gives them the aforementioned knowledge and short life.
After the plan to restore her bloodline's past glory failed, she found the resolve to work for the future with whatever time she has left. Is she an idealist who wants to change the future by avoiding the mistakes of the past? Maybe, maybe not, but she'll play nice or at least somewhat tolerable to those who share the same ideals or to those who simply interest her.
Anyways after that food for thought that I had shared, I've actually thought about it even more when I've finished reading some of the stuff about her and realized that yeah; doctor Mobius would probably hate her lmao, and Hoolheyak would find it amusing probably. But my point still stands that they would definitely have some tension going on. Hatefucking is probable
To visualize, if they were literal snakes; doc Mobius is hissing at Hoolheyak and is ready to strike at her while Hool is slithering close to Mobius just out of striking zone.
Also found a few specific voice lines from Hool that would work for an interaction between the two;
- Immoral scientist, disloyal mercenary, double-crossing spy... yes, that's all me. Rules are what bar you from working to your full efficiency, darling, and you must learn to break them. (Excerpt of Talk 1)
- Tell me, Doctor, how does it feel to lose your memory? I couldn't bear to see a great library reduced to ashes in a fire, but a librarian fool enough to only brush the dust off the shelves pains me even more. Who's sadder, you or me? (Talk after trust increase 3)
- Careful! These are rare documents. How did I get them? Relax, not by following procedure, I assure you. What? You want to interrogate me? (Trust Tap)
Totally normal for the 42-year-old feathered snake and the 'immortal' snake
Tumblr media
You just gave me extreme ammo for the gun I didn't have loaded hehehe
This is a great help thank you!!!! <3333

What about Athena, Summer & Saria, the Punks, and Komet & Starlight? Sorry just noticed that you didn't mention them in your refresher post, and couldn't help but be curious about that.
Oh that last post was just random trivia of what I remembered. I can write something with them
Athena's an ice demon that has a booming voice. She wants tobecome a musician that her uncle would be proud of, since he saved her from her abusive parents (he's already proud, but she's determined). She carries around her broken guitar as a reminder to keep going, and she has a pet bird (... right?). She also looks up to Mommy Must Murder, and she named herself after MMM's stage name (my name for her. Athena's trans btw)
Summer and Saria are corrupt babies born from Keith and Core. Summer looks the most corrupt, whereas some of Saria looks corrupt. Summer acts more like a goopy puppy, has an endless appetite, and can fuse with shadows. Saria has characteristics of a bunny, moves quick, and can be quite the chatterbox, especially about duckies. Summer had to be carried in a bowl when he was first born cuz he was goop
Komet helped cause the corruption in his world because LD got the hit on Starlight, and the corruption was the only thing keeping her alive. LD promised to save her if Komet tried to corrupt everyone. Out of fear and desperation, Komet corrupted because he had himself believe that he was saving others this way. There's a happy ending (probably), so now, Komet is shy yet clingy (idk), and Starlight needs a wheelchair to get around because she's weak, but she doesn't blame Komet
The Punks.. don't have a proper origin in the Main Verse. They're just there. Symbol au has more lore, but Main? They're just here and everyone's okay with it. Oreo (Punk Keith) represents the Leader by being calm, cool, and collected. Cherri (Punk Amelia) is very emotional and a mess, but she means well. She's got a high sex drive too. Pachinko (Punk Pico) is a chaotic bastard that can't die and gets himself into trouble on purpose. Also a high sex drive. Keno (Punk Otis) is tired of everything, hates everything, and is constantly drinking alcohol. Also they have different flavored tits

@the-devils-toybox is here to break Sheik: Cue a certain green-clad Hylian stumbling his way toward the Sheikah. Before he says anything, he sets down a small piece of paper. On it, "I have no choice, forgive me" Link takes a deep breath, though it's clear he's choking the entire time. He felt guilty knowing that he had to do it. Even more so knowing just what this could do to the Sheikah. "...I... h-hate... you..." He wouldn't blame him if he snapped at him. He just hoped that whatever Sheik would do to him... he made it fast.
What a weird paper, it doesn’t have any context on it either, he hardly spared it a glance really before giving the Hero his complete and undivided attention. A man he was growing closer and closer to comfortably giving him the title of friend even in his own head. Living with him was a pleasure, a comfort. He was happy having Link around, something he certainly hadn’t been able to say before the blonde showed up back in his life.
Then those words tumble from the other’s lips.
Tumblr media
Sheik’s been physically stabbed by Ganondorf. He’s been verbally berated, beaten down, thrown against a wall by a man more than three times his size. He’s been used and abused by someone capable of bringing the greatest people down to their knees. And yet, nothing hurts quite like hearing that from Link’s mouth.
For a few seconds he stares at him rather dumbfounded, he’s pretty sure he’s in shock. Then, slowly, like the stitches of a wound–his brain catches up.
The first step back is desperate, an attempt to put some space between them. His heart is beating rapidly in his chest but feels like it’s in the pit of his stomach. He suddenly can’t breathe and when he blinks he feels his face grow wet and hot. Sheik hasn’t cried since his mother told him she was going to be the Sage of Shadows. He hadn’t cried before than since he was twelve and Ganondorf told him to slaughter the entirety of Castle Town to prove himself. Sheik doesn’t cry easily and yet those words had pulled the tears from him faster than anything ever has.
He raises his hand up and wipes at his face, but they just don’t stop. His hand trembles, a persistent shake he can’t control, and his breathing feels trapped in his ribcage. Why does it hurt so much?
   Because he’s really not surprise.
   He’s not surprised.
Sheik watched this man stumble into Temple after Temple he forced him at. He abused his relationship with Saria to send him to her as the first Sage to make him determined to help. He left him to face those horrors alone, knowing good at well what sort of trauma that was going to drop on the Hero.
Hearing he hated him? Sheik expected it. He had actually thought those would be the first words the other would ever say to him if he saw him again.
How else are you supposed to feel toward someone who drops the entire weight of the world on you and then just stands there and watches?
He’s on the ground now, he doesn’t remember falling. Doesn’t remember his legs giving out beneath him. He just knows it’s hard to breathe and he can’t make the tears stop. So he gives in. He buries his face in his hands and just sits there rather than addressing the words.

Just thinking about loz ocarina of time.
[SPOILER WARNING AHEAD]
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Just thinking about how Navi just leaves Link in the end, without even a goodbye :,) saw a theory that said because she was created by the deku tree with the purpose to help link that because her purpose was fulfilled she was then gonna die so she left so Link wouldn’t see that BUT I REFUSE TK BELIEVE THAT ITS TOO SAD.
Just thinking about the seven whole years zelda spent waiting for Link to return, training with Impa as Sheik all the whole blaming herself for her actions she had done as a young child when she thought saving the world was simply collecting some stones. Blaming herself for bringing Link into all of it :,)
Thinking about how the Zelda that put Link back into his original time would now live the rest of her life without Link and would rebuild hyrule and enjoy the peace created by a hero that no longer exists in her world.
Thinking about Mido missing Saria now that she’s a sage, and same for the Zora king missing Ruto now as a sage. How they will never see her again :,(
THINKING ABOUT THE FOUND FAMILY OF THE SAGES THOUGH- HOW THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER IN THEIR SAGE MAGICAL FORMS AND WILL BE TOGETHER UNTIL THEY EVENTUALLY FADE AWAY BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENS IN WIND WAKER :(((
thinking about how nabooru was literally brainwashed FOR SEVEN YEARS serving Ganon who she hated literally prior to being brainwashed oh my god. SEVEN YEARS.
Thinking about how selfless the sages were to save their people from their destruction and ran into those dungeons where they would never step out of again, not as a human at least.
Thinking about how Link is literally an orphan because of the hyrule civil war oh my god.
Thinking about how Mido in the future is still waiting for Link to return and not recognizing Link for who he is. How none of the kokiri recognize Link. They’ll always think that he ran off one day to see the world and never returned :,(
Ruto truly loved link and wanted to marry him, and she waited all those years for him to return.
God damn this game has me in my feels what the actual f*ck

Shutters, an arknights question please: what is the actual deal between Saria and Silence? Besides the memes and fanart, were they really a couple? Are they really co-parenting Iffrit? Is Saria really trying to mend things between her and Silence or its more like the relationship between kal and doctor or Lappland and Texas? Are Saria and Silence along with the rest of Rhine labs operators members of Rhode island or they are more like guests that sometimes do freelancer for Amiya but belong to the different departments of Rhine Labs? Is Saria really that emotionally incompetent or she is just a taciturn, violent prone ex-soldier? Is iffrit really that childish or its more as a socially stunted adult with incontinence problems?
I actually don't know their full deal because I don't have Silence, but while Silence may hate Saria, it bears noting that Saria keeps a feather from Silence in 2/3 of her skins, and specifically asks Doctor to care for Silence and Ifrit. We know from Mansfield Break that Saria took the blame for the Ifrit incident which is what led to her resignation from Rhine Labs, but it's also possible this was done to protect Ifrit. Muelsyse admits that she can't really do anything about Saria betraying her, likely because Saria's simply too powerful for Rhine Labs to mess with. In that same line of thinking, Rhine would now be hesitant to make any kind of moves that would directly endanger Saria's interests, such as seeing Ifrit as a loose end.
The Anthology comics also show that Ifrit sees Saria and Silence as her family, and asks why Saria doesn't kiss Silence when they kiss her cheeks to show affection. It looks quite likely they were in some intimate relationship in the past.
Saria, Silence, and Ifrit are full Rhodes Island Employees after leaving Rhine, but Mayer, Magallan, and Ptilopsis are contractors working under the Rhodes Island-Rhine Labs partnership.
Also, Saria isn't emotionally incompetent or violent, she's just depressed because her wife left and took the kid. Any dad would be unhappy and overworked. She specifically rejected Jesselton from Rhine Labs because he was temperamental and prone to becoming abusive, not because he was too weak for the job.
Ifrit is actually tall for what her implied age suggests, but that's because of her species being Sarkaz. Even then she's noted for being smaller than she should, the Rhine Labs experiments taking a toll on her body. She's also possibly a little older than we think, it's just that being raised as a guinea pig meant she never got any schooling nor was she properly socialized, which is why she's part of Doctor's school for children and feral adults (like Projekt Red)

Sense and Insensitivity!
Aaah, I swear this episode helped fix a crippling absence in my heart that I’ve been missing out on! I’ve got a fever, and the only cure is… MORE OWL HOUSE!!!
I feel like this entire episode is a rather meta joke about the writing process, especially with the whole bit about publishers and how they’re forced to do crunch-time; Pretty sure that’s a real thing, and if so, I applaud Dana and the crew for making sure to remind viewers! And also, Luz, SAME… I, too, understand the pain of being a writer!
There’s not much else to say about Piniet, but I like his design, premise, and voice! He’s pretty neat, and his ability to read entire books within seconds is… It’s much too powerful! I must have this power… Not gonna lie, I didn’t expect HIM to be the true mastermind behind it all (rather, just a lackey for John de Plume) but I guess it makes sense! I thought Plume was kind of an annoying narcissist, but after seeing what he’s going through I guess I can’t blame him for desperately drinking up any love and support he can get!
That scene with the cubes though… Pretty freaky stuff, honestly. Legit thought a dude died when Piniet stepped on him, but apparently not- Still, we never see them revert back to normal, and with Piniet conducting business as he usually does after this, YIKES. Also, love the chaotic energy of Not-Dana in this episode, I didn’t really see her coming into play here but it makes so much sense! Also, this episode can be seen almost as a metaphor for what happened in real life, perhaps- Piniet/Disney wanted to pull more writing from King/Alex Hirsch, who didn’t want to dedicate the rest of his life to Ruler’s Reach/Gravity Falls! Then Dana/Not Dana comes in, dazzles Piniet/Disney with her story/The Owl House, and King/Alex Hirsch is free to do as he pleases (in this case, becoming a VA) while poor Not/Dana has no clue what’s in store for her!
           Subtle, Dana. I like it.
And Luz and King’s friendship! I love episodes that delve more into King and his insecurities, and I’d DIE for these two goobers! I love that while King and Eda are definitely partners-in-crime, there’s a certain silliness to Luz and King’s friendship that is unique to their relationship! Not to discount Eda and her bond with King of course… More on Eda later, naturally!
Typewriter was a hilarious character, and I love how Luz still wants to show unconditional support for King after he’s famous! It just shows how kind-hearted and empathetic she is… She knows what it’s like to be lonely and not taken seriously and she doesn’t want to take away the gratification from King! Likewise, I love how the show acknowledges that King may just be a tad-bit jealous of Luz and Eda, or at least he recognizes that they ‘have’ what he doesn’t… To King, his two friends seem self-assured and confident, like they’re living their own dream while he doesn’t! I can see why King acts selfish at times, he justifies it to himself because he thinks that Eda and Luz are already having it so good… Surely it can’t hurt to indulge himself once in a while, right?
But at the same time, King is not truly selfish. Once he realizes he’s messed up, he’ll go back on his mistakes to make amends, ASAP, throwing away whatever he’s gained for that precious friendship! Maybe the REAL power was the friends we made along the way…? Regardless, it’s clear that Eda and Luz, the latter especially, take his insecurities and thoughts a lot more seriously than anyone else, and I think that’s what’s so important to King! The fact that they listen to him, they humor him… And it’s because part of what makes them so well-off is King’s own presence! I just LOVE this trio you guys!
Also, imagine Boscha’s perspective of Luz and King after everything. I swear, these two –and Eda- are such utter weirdos and cryptids to everyone they come across, it’s amazing! I’m also low-key wondering who made King that scarf… I might want to check later. Not-Saria, planning to trash on that book if it fails you… I know how you feel. And beware King, “There’s more to life than shipping” is fighting words! They’re not FALSE, but still, it’s like that meme about how they hated him because he told them the truth! Like I said, this episode was hilariously meta and close to home, and you get the feeling that Dana is one of us- A fan that’s obsessed over things in the past and suffered laboriously through the pain of writing!
But… EDA AND LILITH! OH, how I’ve waited for this! I knew it, I knew it was coming, that delicious sibling interaction and team-up, and oh it feels SO good!
I’m glad to see that Once Upon a Swap hasn’t changed how Lilith feels! It’s pretty ingenius how her strategy for capturing Eda is just ‘procrastinate as long as possible’ and she manages to justify it! Of course, Belos probably won’t tolerate this strategy for long after a while…
Speaking of Belos- He needs the Bloom of Eternal Youth?!? Is it for some other purpose, or is the dude himself aging? Who knows HOW old he’s been, or how long his rule has lasted- For all we know he’s been the original creator of the Coven System himself! There are even some theories that he was the Boiling Isles Titan, or lived long enough to interact with it! Given how the Bloom was fake from the very beginning, has he been relying on ways to extend his youth throughout the years, or is the first time his years have caught up to him?
Does he want Eda, partially to mend this? What if the curse was cast by Belos on Eda, to drain her of her youth in a parasitic exchange? The show itself has more or less confirmed that Eda is getting older because of the curse! WHAT IF Belos killed the Titan, because he acted as a parasite by draining its life-force to keep himself alive- He DOES have an insectoid motif, and I guess you could connect insects to creatures like Mosquitoes and Fleas…
Anyhow, I’m glad to see that Eda will also go out of her way for Lilith, too! The mixed-feelings, aggravation, and genuine love between the two is so amazing… I love how the two are acknowledging that the other means well, and has their own reasons for what they’re doing! And I love how the show has confirmed it- That Lilith DOES want Eda to join the Emperor’s Coven, she just wants her to do it on her own terms, with her own agency! I love this complicated relationship between these two sisters, where they loudly proclaim that they’d sell one another to Satan for a corn chip, but then would move the stars for the other when no one else is looking!
Obviously the trailer spoiled us, but it was obvious from the get-go that Ratman Witch dude was a fake and it was a trap! Love how they play with the twist by just… Having Eda and Lilith not bat an eye! After all, this is some one-off goon without a name, VS the two most powerful Witches in the Boiling Isles (sans Belos, possibly)! I’d say I wish we got to see the two fight together, but let’s be real- There wasn’t even a fight to begin with. They likely combined a single spell together and ended it within seconds… And on a side-note, I like how Eda confirms that she and Lilith got into trouble together in the past, too! Hence ‘There she is!’ in Covention.
          As for some smaller thoughts;
I find it funny, but not surprising, that Mattholomule has been relegated to physical labor in Piniet’s publishing company! Isn’t that child labor? We know Luz is fourteen, and he’s around her age, if not younger- Especially how Luz notes how light he is, and how Matt’s similar height to Gus indicates he’s about the kid’s age. I dunno, I don’t know Boiling Isles rules on child labor, if they even have any, and even if they did I doubt Piniet cares! I wonder how Not-Dana will get herself out of THIS conundrum with him… Not that I doubt she will of course! She’s got that chaotic energy and hasn’t survived this long for nothing!
And I love Luz, being all weird as she is, having to use her teeth to tear up the contract instead of her hands like anyone else would! I can’t quite understand her mind, but it’s part of what makes her such a favorite to me! At least a contract isn’t some organ from a monster you just came across… And clever of her to use the Light glyph for the book! I love King’s realization of a missed pun, and the unstoppable teamwork of him and Luz!
Given how King has already messed up a few times by being selfish, I have to suspect this will come into play in Really Small Problems, with King feeling like he’s begun to drive Luz away with his vanity and becoming desperate to rekindle their friendship! But as we all know, there’s nothing he needs to prove- Luz cares for him and vice-versa! And ironically, King indulging in ‘Mysterioso’s’ product is also him being selfish, but in general… I like how the show recognizes his crippling insecurity beneath it all, his feelings are valid and not unfounded. Even without the possibility of him having been an ACTUAL King of demons, the show still makes a compelling motive and reason for what he does!
Speaking of a potential backstory… It’s worth noting that King claims his name is actually a rank- So what was his real name, then? Does he even remember?Likewise, he mentions that becoming a famous author will help him in his reclamation of power…
All-in-all, this was a good, solid episode! It’s clearly a very relationship-driven episode, which as someone who enjoys the relationships between characters in this show- That’s amazing! It really establishes how characters truly feel about one another, while subtly setting the stage for something else… I love it!
Up-next is Adventures in the Elements, a totally-new episode that I have NEVER seen, and I will DEFINITELY discuss my new thoughts about it when it officially airs!

epic shadow tower finale broke alayna’s heart
“S... Sharline...!”
i guess he’s running over to her BUT
“Don’t get any closer! Are you going to make me disappear again?!”
“...?”
“You’ve done it once before. You could very well do it again.”
“...No, I... I didn’t mean to...”
“Are you saying it was an accident? You ACCIDENTALLY tried to kill me?”
An arrow flies past Darius’ head, grazing his hair.
“What’re you dodging for? I don’t have all day, you know.”
Like spitting words of hate, Sharline readied her bow once more.
"...Right, back then you thought you could use that innocent cute kid act, getting away with anything you wanted?”
(NOTE this line was incredibly workshopped by me and my friend who speaks japanese. we went from thinking sharline is calling herself cute, to sharline sarcastically saying darius thought he was so cute. it’s a hard nuance. thank you saria.)
Darius couldn’t find the words to speak. Another arrow shot into his shoulder, and he clenched his teeth.
“Well? Do you want to send me away again?”
With an unchanged face, she prepared another arrow.
“S... Sharline... I never meant to do it... I was just so scared, and I...”
“Oh, you were scared to die? Me too.”
ARROW TO THE FLANK. PAINFUL BREATHS. SHARLINE WHAT ARE YOU DOING
“You, because YOU didn’t want to die, you thought I should go instead? Just handing me off to Death like that?”
“Sharline, forgive me...”
he staggered a bit and had to use a hand to on the ground to keep from falling. but the cold voice kept on going.
“How will you make up for it?”
“...I...”
here we go sharline banger tweet
Tumblr media
I’d like to kill you. Just like that day.
So, can I? Can I kill you, Darius?
........
Darius raised his head and got up staggeredly. His chest tightened as his quiet eyes focused on Sharline.
“I owe my life to you, Sharline.
...You can do whatever you want.”
He took one last look at the hate in Sharline’s face and closed his eyes.
I'm okay with being killed. As long as it's by Sharline.
That’s all I ever did to her, anyways.
Heh, when I put it like that, it makes me feel oddly better...
Something hot’s running down my face.
...Tears?
I haven’t cried once since the day Sharline disappeared from the village.
It’s okay.
This is okay.
These were Darius’ last thoughts.
But someone’s voice reverberated.
—”That girl” in front of you, is that really “the girl” YOU know? Would she ever say those kinda things?
Hey, Darius.
In that old fairy tale I told you, the Crest was a gift from God to protect her children, right? It was like, a good luck charm.
But I don’t believe in such a story.
You know, Darius, if that Crest ever gives you trouble, I’ll be there to save you.
...
Hey now, don’t make such a face!
No matter what anyone else thinks, you’re the one who’s suffered the most from the Crest. No matter what misfortune happens, it’s never your fault. People who blame it on your Crest aren’t all that good themselves, you know?
No matter what happens, I’ll always believe in you, Darius. So that’s why you don’t have to worry.
Believe in me.
Tumblr media
A nostalgic voice.
A gentle voice.
Sharline’s voice.
But, your eyes were so full of anger, and what I did to you... I thought you’d hate me.
—Please, believe in my heart, the heart that believes in you.
—Now open your eyes, and face the truth! Hurry!
https://youtu.be/PKRUKalbx3s
what? it’s fitting isn’t it? www. gains owes royalties to fromsoft bro. i almost choked up here reading this part, it really got my heart bad but i could feel the tension melt away hearing sharline’s voice in my head, with her story and her kind words saving me. it was an excellent part.
reposting emotional grip that i literally had during this part
Tumblr media
BUT WAIT THEN WHO IS THIS SHADOW SHARLINE?!
When Darius opened his eyes, Sharline was still there arrow at the ready. But, just beyond her figure was a strange shadow.
Darius hastily ran from the hill. An arrow followed soon after him. (also he pulls out the arrow from his flank idk where that is. midriff maybe)
“Why are you running away?!”
darius pulls out the arrow from his shoulder OUCH man that hurts. he continues to get away from the FALSE sharline. yea she’s probably like a palmira doll but she can sure shoot well she just shot four more arrows. but it’s fine!
sharline disappears and so does the scenery. now we hear morpheus laughing like a old man!
blah blah blah “the cycle will be the key to opening this world again! kk see ya laters at the real tower”
darius hops over shit and sees a bright light. again he hears that voice once more
—Everything that is good in life will always be preceded by hardships.
oh the bright light is more like a cool glowing tree with endless branches that reach the heavens. the fruit is golden like the eyes of a dragon. but anyways CHECK OUT THE COOL SWORD AT THE TRUNK
Golden handle and sparkling crimson and emerald stones. A milky white sword with a gentle blue glow.
YEAH BITCH
MOONLIGHT FUCKING SWORD BABY
it wasn’t too hard to lift. and when he did whoa a grey fruit of light appeared and then whoa he saw a room in that fruit and then darius passed out. WOO BABY SHADOW FUCKING TOWER!!!!!!!!!
i’d like to thank saria, winterbro, and himeko for helping me figure out dialogue in this scene. this was a hard hitting chapter and also got delayed cuz of school but here you go SHARLINE I LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️

FE3H x LoZ
Hey, I saw that you enjoyed my Zelda AU so I decided to expand upon it! This includes eight students for each house, and even strengths based on the Three Houses weapon types. Also for convenience all of the students are Hylian/Gerudo/basically human.
To set the scene, the Gerudo Empire is in the desert to the west, the Kingdom of Hyrule is in the north and east, and the Ordon Alliance is in the forests to the south. The main religion is the Church of Hylia, and the Officer’s Academy is still in the center of the continent because the name sounds generic enough. The curse of Demise exists, but records of it have been lost to time and none of the students are aware of it (cue emotional revelations and plot twists).
CRIMSON BOARS
Since there are so few Gerudo characters of actual plot relevance, I decided to include Ganon’s other allies from across the series, plus a few wild cards.
Ganondorf - house leader. Heir to the Gerudo Empire. Strong and very physically capable, as well as a firm leader. Strengths: Lance, Brawl, Reason, Authority
Ghirahim - Ganondorf’s cunning retainer. Only really ever thinks about himself and his master. Strengths: Sword, Reason
Cia - used to be a warm, angelic girl when she was little, but has become the opposite since then. She idolizes Ganondorf, but also admires Link from afar. Strengths: Faith, Authority, Flying
Lorenz Zant - a foreign exchange student from Twili, a faraway archipelago. Only friends with the people in his class, and hates everyone else. Especially despises Midna. Strengths: Brawl, Reason, Flying
Urbosa - probably the nicest person in the class. Has a motherly attitude. Very strong and protective of her allies. Strengths: Sword, Bow
Astrid - a quiet girl who is almost always studying. Also has an obsession with fortune telling. Strengths: Faith, Reason
Onox - son of an imperial general. Large and built, and loves training. Always agrees with Ganondorf. Strengths: Axe, Brawl, Heavy Armor
Ruto - daughter of a wealthy noble from Hyrule who became close to the emperor, but she does not always approve of the Empire’s methods. Very flirty, and has many admirers. Strengths: Lance, Riding
AZURE OWLS
These characters are all either Sages, Champions, or Resistance members.
Zelda - house leader. Crown princess of the Kingdom of Hyrule. Extremely smart, and though usually kind, can be cold and relentless on the battlefield. Strengths: Bow, Reason, Riding, Authority
Impa - rescued by Zelda during the Tragedy of Sheikah and has become her faithful retainer since then. Often found accompanying Zelda or praying. Strengths: Sword, Lance, Faith
Revali - son of a renowned warrior in the Kingdom. Thinks very highly of himself and looks down on those who are physically weaker than him. Often trains to the point of intense fatigue. Strengths: Bow, Flying
Mipha - a shy, quiet girl who mostly keeps to her room. Dotes on those who are injured despite her introverted nature. Strengths: Lance, Brawl, Faith
Medli - daughter of a famous musician. Incredibly skilled at playing the harp and dreams of becoming a star as well. Kind to everyone she meets, but has a reputation for being clumsy. Strengths: Axe, Flying, Authority
Byrne - A quiet student who often goes unnoticed. However, he is immensely skilled in battle, which tends to surprise people given how often he disappears during training. Strengths: Sword, Brawl, Heavy Armor
Shad - a scholarly student who is extremely interested in history. Will approach any random student to help him with his research. Unlikely friend to Ashei. Strengths: Faith, Reason
Ashei - the daughter of a noble, but she would rather be a knight than an heiress. Blunt and sometimes downright undignified. Unlikely friend to Shad. Strengths: Sword, Axe, Riding
VERDANT WOLVES
These characters are Link’s friends and companions from throughout the series.
Link - house leader. Future leader of the Ordon Alliance, though born a commoner. Kind and genuine, as well as very charismatic, but hides insecurities. Strengths: Sword, Faith, Riding, Authority
Ravio - son of a merchant family. Very close to Link, almost like a brother. Quite lazy, and would rather scam people than study. Strengths: Axe, Bow, Flying
Midna - the princess of Twili, who came to the Academy as a foreign exchange student. Admired by many for her beauty and charm. Incredibly snarky and mischievous, and often gets into trouble. Strengths: Lance, Reason, Flying
Saria - the youngest student at the Academy. A sweet and charitable girl who loves animals and feels at home around nature. Strengths: Bow, Faith
Daruk - a noble who dreams of becoming an accomplished knight. Very friendly and outgoing, but has a fear of dogs. Strengths: Brawl, Heavy Armor, Authority
Fi - a girl who is very religious and is usually found praying. Very analytical and excels in her studies. Often responds to her peers without emotion, and many have never seen her smile. Strengths: Sword, Flying
Groose - Link’s self-proclaimed rival. Always trying to one-up Link, much to Link’s exasperation. Has a massive crush on Zelda, and is willing to join the Azure Owls for free. Strengths: Axe, Lance, Brawl
Malon - a farmer girl from the Ordonian countryside. Works extremely hard, as it took a lot for her father to send her to the Academy. Known for her distinct singing voice. Strengths: Bow, Reason, Riding
OTHER NOTES
Despite moving some things around, such as their locations on the map and certain events like the Tragedy of Sheikah (Duscur), the nations here are loosely based on those in Three Houses: Hyrule = Adrestia, Gerudo = Faerghus, and Ordon = Leicester. (oh and Twili = Brigid)
Though Hyrule is a KINGDOM and Gerudo is an EMPIRE, Hyrule is larger because Gerudo is still growing and expanding. However by the timeskip Gerudo won’t have grown much because of Hyrule’s declaration of war.
The Tragedy of Sheikah basically went as follows: the people of the Sheikah region were close allies of the royal family, but were then blamed for the mass assassination of several nobles, including the queen. In retaliation, Hyrule massacred the people of Sheikah.
Since elements were pulled from many LoZ games, the three house leaders aren’t based on any specific incarnation. However, if I had to pick, Ganondorf would be from Ocarina of Time, Zelda would be from Breath of the Wild, and Link would be from Twilight Princess.
I haven’t really thought of who would be the leader of the church, or the faculty, or the equivalent of Byleth, but then again it’s not like this has to be an exact copy of Three Houses anyway. However I do think that Telma would make a wonderful stand-in for Manuela.
There are still cats in the Monastery (speaking of the monastery, I don’t have a name for it). Link and Saria give them the most attention.
I hope you enjoyed this!

notes from bae: OK ROUND TWO.... LET’S TRY SUBMITTING THIS AGAIN....
in short: HJHGDSFGFSGJDFSHD??? JDGFSHGFHS??? I LOVE THIS??? I LOVE THIS??
this is so well thought out im going to cry. instead, I am just going to go through everything in order (prob not ) and scream at things i want to point out
'no one knows about the curse of Demise until later' IM BWUBWUWBWUBBWUB NOO.... NOOO..... THIS IS GOING TO TEAR APART FRIENDSHIPS..... i NEED to see the confrontations after this, because.... that's so heartbreaking and I don't want to imagine it... but i Need to see it :((
i AdOre how you incorporate characters from across the games, too. seeing chars like Byrne, Onox and Astrid make my lil Zelda heart happy...
and speaking of the characters, I love the strengths you gavce them!!! and the backstories... because this REALLy makes me want to see their supports. can you imagine.... Midna and Zant, Ravio and Revali, Groose and Zelda, Groose and everyone, Link and Ghirahim trying to hold a friendly conversation (which. oh dear. doesn’t work)... there is SO MUCH POTENTIAL and i can only IMAGINE!!
if you have any story details sketched out, I NEED to know!! i esp liked how you adapted the tragedy of Duscur to the tragedy of Sheikah, since there’s already hints of hostility towards the Sheikah in 10,000yrs ago-BotW, so it’s definitely not remiss that they wouldn’t be blamed ;; and this also makes me intrigued about Zelda’s motives!! Why does Hyrule declare war? because of her own personal reasons pertaining to the tragedy? in response to the Empire? something else entirely??
same with Ganondorf.... WHAT makes him declare war.... because I don’t think it’s just a case of conquer n conquer..... eyes emoji....
(and ofc our boy Lonk. with the best team, imo.... I Love the Verdant Wolves. would join them ASAP. they look like the house with the most Chaos but ALSO a lot of POWER...)
ESSENTIALLY I JUST NEED STORY DETAILS and house leader interactions!!! because, pre-timeskip, the triforce trio are friendly?? Yes??? And then it all falls apart??? Yes???????
TELMA AS MANUELA. PLEASE. PLEEEEEEAAASE..... she’d be absolutely fantastic!!! I also think we could have Kaepora Gaebora in replace of the white owl at the bulletin boards. Just for some friendly little advice...
and of course!! Link and Saria give the cats the most attention!! Saria plays the ocarina for them, and Link canonically picks them and runs around while giving them cuddles.... EXCELLENT....
I also think Ravio would be a very good replacement for Anna. y’know, just to get the best bargains for the Wolves.... maybe steal for them a house, too.....
LORENZ LOOKING LIKE ZANT I SDJHHDSFH WHY HAVENT I NOTICED THIS BEFORE IM GOING TO CRY. IC ANT LOOK AT LORENZ ANYMORE WITHOUT SEEING ZANT P L E A S E SAVE ME I DIDNT WANT THIIIIS
also? Groose joining the Owls without any recruitment requirements??? I. Groose ily but shUT UP STOP THAT!!! LINK Probably just facepalms mournfully.... who else is going to play around with the Groosenator with him :((
IN SHORT: I LOVE THIS. SO MUCH. IT HAS MADE MY DAY AND I AM GOING TO NEVER STOP THINKING ABOUT IT

for the ask thingie!
exusiai 1 and 8, silence 3 aaand 17. 17 seems like a fun one.
the thingie!! thanks for the questions OM NOM NOM
1. Why I love Exusiai, like her or hate her.
ok, I don't do Exusiai justice. like at all. I don't do justice to a lot of my favs actually. but I swear that she's one of my favorite characters and the first character I got invested in. she was my first 6-stars, so of course! and also, fun fact, the very first Arknights fanart I did was her.
but why i appreciate her so much?? well she's silly! yeah there's not much, but it's like, she's a character i'd love to be friend with IRL. she's easy going, really cool, funny and so lively, but also very nice and generous, also very pretty!! not in an attracted way, more in a Gender Envy way. anyway, she's just so cool!! and quite a simple character to follow around and understand. big thumbs up for the apple pie queen 👍
also with my bestie we tend to joke that "ahah my bestie is literally Exusiai irl" because of how both look like each other in term of personality, so naturally I'm attached to the character pfft
8. A headcanon I have about Exusiai.
mmm but despite how I appreciate her, she's not the character who takes a whole lot of place in my head, so I don't have many headcanons about her. BUT as I mentioned earlier, I headcanon her as being in the arospec. I dunno! I just don't imagine her getting into a relationship, but more being platonically affective with about everyone she appreciates. I just can imagine that she's not interested in it, and that anyway, she wouldnt like the idea to give "more" to someone in particular. life's more about having fun and living it at its fullest rather than finding love! and she's not in need of affection anyway, she has really reliable friends around her.
but YEAH, you will probably notice that I have a lot of arospec headcanons in Arknights LMAO I just think they're as valid!
3. If I have an OTP for Silence.
is this a serious question
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
have you looked at my blog in the past 6 months.
obviously its silence/ptilopsis
(jokes aside, MAYBE you meant to ask the question 4? if I have a NOTP with her? unless you were genuine with the question. in that case well uh. gesture at my +40 art pieces of Silence/Saria. I think that I'm normal about them)
17. How well Silence would do if she was dropped in a horror movie.
oh boy. it will HEAVILY depend on WHICH Silence we're talking about.
Pre-Diαbolic Experiment: very bad. she would need someone stronger than her to rely on. never leave her alone, she would panic. she would mostly be that one character who will try to solve the mystery and be nerding around. but god, she would be so insecure and paranoid.
Post-Diαbolic Experiment: final girl. she will try to rationalize what is going on. she would go on on her own, or will be protecting someone. she will try to carry all the responsibilities, fear and such, but it will become way too heavy for her, and she will often show weakness when danger is not around - and no one else is around, tbh.
Post-Lone Trail: EVERYONE is getting out of there alive or else she will make it everyone's problem. she will act like a guardian or leader, will try to take every best solution and think rationally, make sure everyone is fine and safe. she wouldn't be that much scared, honestly; she's not all strong, but way stronger than before. of course, she still needs her comforting moments, and she's far from the best physically speaking, but her will is of steel.
in all cases anyway, if someone died in front of her, she wouldn't be able to take it and will be broken on the spot. especially if it's someone she was meant to protect, she will blame herself for being too weak.

shelkah:
There’s a tree in Hyrule, one that stood alone in a Grove unknown to the residents of Hyrule. Only the spirits of the soldiers knew it’s location and it was the whispers of their mourning that brought the words to the Sheikah. He listened to their laments, their secrets they carried and through that trail he followed the location of it all to the unmarked grave where a cursed swordsman laid, forgotten and alone. A fate that Sheik wouldn’t wish upon anyone. Much less the person who rested beneath the cold ground, buried without even a prayer.
Sheik tracked through the Grove, steps light and nearly soundless against the forest floor. There was a bag on his back, the Lyre in his clenched hand. He felt with every step he took the weight of it all, the souls around him and the overall dark feeling in the area. He didn’t like it and the thought of them being buried here made him feel even worse than he already did. And not just about that but about everything, from where the grave was to the fact that they had died so young I the first place. After giving everything he already had for Hyrule.
The Grove broke and Sheik stepped out into an open area in the back, a tall Ancient Tree standing high above the others. Sheik took a moment to just breath, his red gaze lingering on the top of the tree before slowly following the length of it down to the ground. There at the base, where it was said to be, was an obvious mound of dirt that covered the grave the spirits had told him about. Sheik’s eyes slid around from it to the lingering spirits, their prone forms standing watch over the cursed swordsman like they were expecting him to get back up and walk among the living. They seemed to pay the Sheikah no mind despite the fact that he could see them as clearly as he could a living person.
When he took a step forward they moved away, causing his body to still in curiosity. THey didn’t pay attention to him but they very clearly aware of where he was. As he continued to move they kept backing up and when he reached the side of the grave they were nearly gone, standing far enough away with their backs to him that even he could barely see them. Eyes glancing around he eventually turned his attention down to the gave once more.
He felt weird standing here, looking down at the grave of a person he had become so familiar with. The Cursed Swordsman had been a very important person to him, to all of Hyrule but to Sheik he had personally became attached to him. He wasn’t supposed to, he was supposed to stay within the shadows and only do what he was assigned to do in aiding the man but–he hadn’t been able to. He had tried to the best of his ability to keep the distance but when you watched over someone it was hard not to get attached.
Not that it mattered in the end. They might have won the battle but when Time was reset and the Swordsman returned to his own time as broken and damaged as Sheik had assumed he would be. He didn’t want to say that Zelda didn’t care, he was sure in her own way it hurt to see the Swordsman the way that they were but Zelda cared more about Hyrule and she had to many things to do to worry about a boy in the forest.
Sheik should have done something, he should have done more to help them once time was reset but by the time he thought he could, they were gone. It must have been hard to stay in the forest knowing what he did now, seeing his friends that in time wouldn’t even remember him. With Saria still gone in the Sacred Realm guarding the Triforce. They lost so much and though they gained it back it was far to late. The damage had been done and those they cared about were still gone. Even though Sheik had never lied, he knew this would happen and it felt the same as if he had.
He always wondered if they blamed him.
A breath is taken and Sheik slowly kneels down on the ground beside the grave. He fetches the bag from his back and sits it down beside him. Inside it had been a stone that had been chiseled to have the Swordsman name and title in it. He lifted it up, shook it from the bag and then placed it where it belonged right above the Hero’s grave. Returning back to the bag he fetched the green hate that they had carried throughout their entire journey and some flowers he’d collected along the way.
The flowers were placed on top of the grave and he sat he hat was placed over top of the rock. It felt… a little better, having a grave maker now and something to offer. It might not be much but it seemed a bit more full of life.
Packing the bag back up he sat it off to the side and then fetched the golden Lyre from his back. Getting a little more comfortable he settled the instrument against his chest and then started plucking the familiar tune of the Minuet of the Forest. It felt appropriate and the soft tune was enough to help him relax a bit more. The spirits even seem to calm a bit more as the tune filled the entire grove, the soft sounds of the Lyre being gentle already in nature and the song itself having a mellow warmth to it.
He continued to play it till the sun started to set, till his fingers started to hurt from plucking at the strings. Eventually, he took a breath and lowered his hand from the strings, letting the instrument rest down in his lap. It was getting dark so he turned to the bag he brought and pulled out a Lanturn some strange man in the forest had sold him. He flipped it on, sat it down beside the grave, the soft glow of the light causing only a little warmth. He supposed it was better than nothing, Sheik didn’t want to start a fire in here and disrespect the spirits.
Glancing down to the grave he figured he had to say something but Sheik was so afraid to that he had settled for just sitting here and playing the Lyre. Not that the Hero cared probably, he must have been sick of Sheik and the music he kept forcing on him after the Shadow Temple. That place–it used to be a real temple, dedicated to the Sheikah lost through time. They’d used that temple to Honor their dead and it greatly hurt to watch what it had become. But he knew those nightmares the Hero no doubt acquired from that place had been enough to kill whatever brief sympathy he had for Sheik’s people.
And those were nightmares they had forced on a child when they turned them into a weapon. He knew he had to say something it was just hard to.
Another sigh fell from Sheik’s lips and he reached his hand up, hooking his finger around the mask to yank it down. He removed the cowl and the mask, sitting it beside him before reaching up to the turban this time and unraveling it from his hair. Grabbing the long braid he pulled it over his shoulder. His leg bent and pressed against his chest, Sheik’s arms wrapped loosely around it as he leaned forward.
He rested his forehead on his knee for a few minutes, thinking his words over and then when he felt he had come up with something he turned to look at the patch of dirt beside him.
❝ I’m sorry. ❞   It was the truth, he felt that deep down to his very core. He was sorry that they used them, that they had taken advantage of a child, that they bent him irreparably and then shoved him back to his own time expecting him to figure everything out on his own.
❝ We should have done more to help you, been there when you returned to your own time, we shouldn’t have abandoned you. ❞   He couldn’t even fathom how hard it had been for them, to wake up in a time where no one knew what he had been doing, knew the things that he did. Except for Sheik, the sages, and Zelda. All who turned their backs on them. Even Sheik, despite the fact that he had told them he would be there. He was no better than the rest of them the only difference was that the guilt was eating away at him, burning him from the inside and seeing the Hero of Twilight didn’t help. They were like the Hero of Time and yet so different, still his spitting image however.
❝ I had thought that after everything you would have wanted to be left alone, no one could blame you. We put you through so much I thought–we all thought that you just hated us. It would be reasonable. But that arrogant thought had us turning our backs on you perhaps when you needed us the most. ❞   To die alone and then be buried out here, without a single person who knew who they were and what they did, how lonely was that? Shaking his head Sheik turned back away and pressed his forehead into his knee.
He could feel his eyes burn, his chest ache and he cursed himself again. He shouldn’t cry, Sheikah didn’t cry and Sheik had no right to mourn someone he had turned his back on. They didn’t want his pity or need it.
❝ We–I prayed to Impa that you would find happiness after everything that you went through. Because you deserved it. But now you’re here. ❞   He breathed and let out a sigh.   ❝ I looked for you, I tried to find you to see if you were already, but you had left Hyrule and gotten caught up in whatever happened in Termia. I couldn’t leave Hyrule, Sheikah are bound by oath and blood to the Royal Family. Zelda expected me to replace Impa what was I supposed to do? ❞   Tell her no, tell her it wasn’t his job but Sheik was terrified of disappointing Impa. His arms tightened around his leg and Sheik shook his head against his knee.
❝ I know you don’t believe me, but I truly am sorry for everything we did, Link. ❞

I’ve been meaning to make a review about Breath of the Wild for a while, but at least wanted to wait until after I finished the shrines.
SCREW. THAT.
I’m gonna just say it up front; it’s not one of my favorite Zelda games. I mean, yeah, I have a personal history with Majora’s Mask, but that’s not the only thing. I’ll start at the beginning, under the cut. Cause this is gonna be long-winded.
I’m not gonna make a lot of complaints about how it sucks in comparison to Ocarina of Time or make too many mentions about the timeline issue, cause we all know that it was bullshit since the moment they said anything. But there are just...so many things that bother me.
I will say that Breath of the Wild has a lot of great thing going for it and it’s easy to be impressed when you first sit down to play it. The graphics are gorgeous and the voice acting was done very well. There are so many wonderful little bits of lore, call-backs, and even general mechanics of the game that just made everything amazing. (I was so fucking excited to jump without running off a ledge.)
However...there was a lot of the story itself that bothered me. Not to mention a few other things. One of which, was the music. Or....serious lack thereof.
One of the things I loved the most about Zelda, was the music in nearly every game. Background music is very essential in making up the environment of any level. From your typical fire temple, to underwater, to creepy ghost town. And for Zelda, it wasn’t even just that, but that song itself had a large to-do with a lot of the lore and story. Song tells others you have something to do with the Royal Family. It changes the universe around you. It soothes the dead. Not just in Ocarina of Time either. So it was really weird to...not have any of that in Breath of the Wild.
Yeah, we have some soundtrack but..it felt so..threadbare. When you go into a shrine/town/battle, I barely register the music. Walking through the open field...nothing. When I’m galloping on the Lord of the Mountain, the fast-paced piano feels more high-tech than race-horse and makes me feel uneasy about a guardian lurking nearby. Then when you DO face a guardian, or any mini-boss of a monster, it gets so fucking intense, so damn fast, I was worried about challenging a Hinox for the longest damn time. (Geez, I felt stupid for that after I realized how easy they were to beat.) Everything just felt...off. And it was weird that you didn’t have to repeat any song 10 fucking times. I mean, yeah, I was really sick of Elegy of Emptiness after going through the Stone Tower in Majora’s Mask, but I’ll listen to the 50th remix of Song of Storms. It was like...one of the few things that kept the whole timeline thing connected. It was that there was always a harp, there was always a song, there was just...something that connected us to the higher powers. And it’s kinda cool for a game to give something like music, so much power.
But I’ll stop bitching about that and get to my real problem. The story.
Now the basic crux of it, I’m fine with. They attempted to beat Ganon, failed, and had to pay the price 100 years later. Cool. That’s interesting. A nice premise. But gosh DAMN if the details don’t fucking trip me up! Let’s run through this chronologically.
Okay so Zelda, being the nerdy princess that she is in this life, discovers that yeah, they reincarnate every several hundred years and beat an evil known as Ganon. There’s supposed to be her, the physical embodiment of the goddess Hylia, and Link, a young knight sworn to protect her. Hooray, self-awareness.
Apparently, she also discovers that, what was it? 1,000 years ago, the Sheikah... the shadow people who are skilled ninjas that protect the family...built 120 shrines, robots, and massive weapons of terrible destruction...just to help beat this one guy that two kids and a magic sword handles on a regular basis. Actually no, I shouldn’t just say it’s two kids and a magic sword.
It’s a knight with a magic sword, three pendants, six sages, and the final seventh sage (aka the fucking goddess-child) that defeat the Evil.
It’s already upsetting enough that the Sheikah are stupidly advanced in technology (cause ancient magic tech from the gods is always the way to go...), and that the 1,000 year span makes the whole timeline thing confusing as FUCK (even if it is in the broken world timeline), but that they just...do that. They just fucking dissed the fucking premise for like, so many of the games. You find three pendants/orbs/stones/things, the master sword, six sages, and then help Zelda. Thanks for reducing everything else to nothing. Thanks for making 6 sages fucking nobodies. And yeah, I’m gonna harp on that.
One of the things that was nice about Ocarina of Time is that the 6 Sages became one from each race. In Link to the Past, it was the descendants of 6 powerful wizards. In Wind Waker, it was at least the last 2 other species left alive after the whole flooding incident (cause those three gorons are gonna fucking die and I wanna cry thinking about it). It just...it made sense.
So why. The fuck. ARE WE RELYING ON ONLY THESE FOUR????
Tumblr media
We still have the Sheikah and the Koroks. What, just cause Impa’s old now? Cause the Korok’s are tiny as fuck? That never stopped anything before. We could’ve had Purah, or Paya take up the mantle. If size was an issue, how about Hetsu? Koroks can choose their shapes and try to put on brave faces. Saria was willing to help with the fight. Makar was willing to go through a whole temple to help. I don’t see what makes this generation a bunch of pussies! What the great and all-knowing fucking Sheikah just..FORGOT about the other sages???
Like, don’t get me wrong. Again, there’s a lot of good. I wouldn’t say gorons would be my favorite race but dammit I love Daruk and I love his grandson. They’re just sweet and adorable as fuck. (and I have a weakness for soft-hearted big-guys. ^//^) I’m glad they fixed the Rito’s appearance (though I hate Rivali’s fucking attitude). I liked their stories and their powers. But you could’ve at least rounded it out to be EVERYBODY. And further more, as great as it was to see their spirits put to rest, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for ghosts to pilot giant robots. It could’ve made a bit more sense for maybe the later generations to take up the mantle and help out. (Since that’s what a lot of them seem to imply.) It would’ve been kinda cool to go through the Divine Beasts with the Next Gen and let them help us fight the blights and let them take control.
Also on a fashion note: WHY THE FUCK IS EVERYTHING BLUE?? Thanks for dissing Farore. I guess she wasn’t a very important Goddess! Certainly not the one that LINK correlates to. Yeah, I get it, he’s supposed to get his signature outfit later, but I’m gonna get back to that problem in a bit. You could’ve at least kept the design and made it fucking GREEN.
Cause yeah, I get it, it was supposed to signify their unity and shit and that’s great and all, but BLUE had a purpose and that was WISDOM. Link isn’t WISDOM. He’s COURAGE. That was the whole rite of passage thing in Wind Waker!
Also, Zelda. Zelda, babe. Hon.
Tumblr media
Zelda... What the FUCK ARE YOU WEARING???
Like, DAMN girl’s got hips for DAYS but do we really need the thicc shown in fucking leggings?? I mean, okay, her normal princess outfit is fine. Would’ve liked it to be a liiiiitle more traditional, but whatever. You look the part. And her normal adventure outfit is...okay?? It doesn’t look very practical nor comfortable for travels so it seems a little weird?? It just looks really uncomfortably tight and really draws attention to the thighs. But see, it’s the fucking Goddess getup that I have the most problems with.
Tumblr media
Like, I’m just gonna start with saying that she looks fucking pregnant.
The empire waist wasn’t a good choice, especially cause she’s already just so damn thicc. And then you mix it with a sleeveless top and you have these fucking layers that just exaggerate the hips in the most unflattering way possible. I’m not saying she needs to look sexy but for a goddess, she could’ve looked more elegant? I’m sure with some kinda alterations, this would’ve looked great, or maybe on a different body, but like! I don’t like the dress for Skyward Sword either but at least she looks more goddess-like than this! (and that was a VERY boring dress...) She looks like Ariel putting on that sail cloth when she turned human. I mean, she could’ve had like, three-quarter sleeves with a v-neck or sweetheart neckline and then let the skirt flare out with the Hylian buckle around the waist. But this looks.. it just looks uncomfortable. I wouldn’t wanna practice goddess magic in this either.
So aside from forgetting about important races and a lack in fashion design, then you move on with the story. So since Zelda’s such a nerd and cause she lost her mother when she was younger, I guess that means I should feel sorry for her long-ass struggle with her goddess powers but um... I’m not. I don’t feel sorry for this woman. I just feel annoyed. I feel very annoyed every time I run all over Hyrule, trying to find these fucking memories, only to get five minutes of her bitching at US for her own failure.
Link is a soldier. And on top of that, he’s burdened with the heavy duty of carrying the Master Sword. HE is the one who has to fight Ganon. And instead he just runs around escorting Princess Twilight Sparkle while she geeks out over learning and frogs and then insults him, yells at him, and pushes him away from doing HIS FUCKING JOB. Unlike her, LINK IS DOING HIS JOB. I don’t blame him for shutting the hell up while she bitches and cries. I’m gonna side with Zelda’s father on this one, she found out about the prophecy, but SHE NEEDS TO DO HER JOB. Not for the sake of reputation (which seemed unusually dickish for him to say....) but because that’s her damn job. Everyone else knew what it meant to be a soldier. They knew when to dig in their heels and get ready to fight. WHY. DIDN’T. SHE?? Or at least why didn’t we see her trying like she kept talking about?? Yeah we saw her pray to ONE FUCKING FOUNTAIN. And it wasn’t even supposed to be her damn goddess! The whole mess wouldn’t have happened if she had just SHUT THE HELL UP and thought about someone else besides her own problems.
Also, if you were gonna show the tender moment where she finally does unleash her powers, maybe you SHOULDN’T make that a “secret ending” after you run around and try to guess where the rest of the memories were based on poor-quality pictures. And yeah, Zelda. you took a lot of shoddy pictures with that damn tablet. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DIFFERENTIATE ONE FOREST FROM A THOUSAND OTHERS??
Maybe I would’ve felt more sorry if I didn’t have to climb through a fucking castle full of guardians, avoid tripping the cut scene, and THEN read in a long-ass diary about her mother dying, but you know, that just didn’t happen. I don’t feel sorry for her. I don’t feel excited for her to unleash her powers. Actually, I’m rather sad that despite the games being called “Legend of Zelda”, I REALLY didn’t wanna focus on THIS incarnation of her. The idea of it would’ve been fucking fantastic, but did Nintendo really have to make her such a whiny bitch?
Okay okay okay. Now before you send me hate mail, I will point out some things I like about her. She had a nice voice. She was cute (in a good outfit). And she wasn’t a total bitch. It was a good idea for Nintendo to try to focus on the titular character for once. I just don’t see this excusing all the other problems though.
Moving on, I mentioned earlier how I hated Rivali. That was the understatement. I am so glad he fucking died at the hands of one of the easiest damn bosses. I know some people may have liked him but I can’t stand ego. It’s an immediate turn-off and the sad part is that he had a sexy design and voice. He could’ve been redeemable if he showed some kinda humility after being dead for 100 years, but no. They just...didn’t give him that. Not willingly at least. Again, this is where I would’ve LOVED the next generation to take up the mantle instead, but... Yeah. No. We didn’t get that. (And I swear he was jealous that Link had Mipha and Zelda’s affections. Especially Zelda’s.)
Urbosa was good, but I felt like we didn’t get to know her personality too much? And the same goes for her grandchild. Also even though the Gerudo are known for hating men, they HAVE accepted men into their clans before. What happens if these women marry?? They have to leave town? Link was genuinely accepted as one of the Gerudo in OoT and was free to walk around! And that was just for debunking their strongest warriors. BotW!Link saved the whole fucking town, saved one from dehydration and another’s husband, and is a renowned champion! You think that would give him a get-out-of-jail free card!
I already talked about how I liked Daruk cause he’s definitely a strong leader and a gentle-soul. I do like the Goron City but it feels a little weird how....corporate they became. I mean, it makes sense. They can make a good profit from the gems they harvest but it’s still a little weird considering how tribal and relaxed the gorons were before. Still, they were a cute bunch and I really liked going to Goron City again.
And Mipha was sweet and I really loved her one-sided relationship with Link. I felt really sad thinking about Sidon growing up without his sister and I see why everyone shipped him with Link. Sidon himself was pretty good but....personal preference dictates that a super excited, extroverted, supportive type...doesn’t suite me. Don’t get me wrong. He’s very sweet and cute and I can see why a lot of fangirls were into him. It’s just the over-exuberant extrovertedness that gets to me. Also I was really surprised that this game made the ZORAS racist, out of all of them. I mean like, fucking damn... I know your princess died but fuck! Finally, last note, I...really didn’t care for their designs. I know the Zoras have been through a hell of a lot of redesigns over the years and they’ve certainly improved, but I think Ocarina of Time’s era was just enough of Fish and Human to make it a good hybrid? Rather than making...a shark..humanoid...with another shark...on his head?? And somehow related to a whale??? With a...manta ray...for an advisor.. I mean, I get it, he was suppose to look old, but it’s literally just a stingray on his head.
I liked Hetsu too, though collecting korok seeds is kinda annoying. I hate it when games make you have to gather more for just one thing, it’s just..not a fun mechanic to have? And the koroks themselves are still cute, though it’s taken me a while to accept that they replaced my beloved Kokiri and Dekus. (I only had OoT/MM growing up, so when I finally played Wind Waker as an adult, yeah I was pretty upset about the change in the species.) I still wish they had a bigger role to play in all of this.
Lastly, Ganon had a pretty great design, though it was a little weird he was like...semi-solid for this game. Like.. What? What was with all the...”malice”? (Which is an actual word, guys. You could’ve called it something besides that...) I really liked how he merged himself with the technology and it was interesting that he was controlling the guardians, but honestly when she said “Given up incarnation” I was a little disappointed he still went by Ganon cause you know... His original form wasn’t called Ganon. It was called Demise. Also for having a giant smoke-pig with a huge gaping mouth hovering around the castle, it would’ve been a little more interesting for him to...still retain that when you walked in? But design aside, fighting Ganon wasn’t actually all that hard after you freed the Divine Beasts and it’s...a little disappointing. I mean, I’m running around, fighting lynels and dragons and guardians and really, I had more trouble with THOSE than I did with HIM. And that’s REALLY disappointing when Ganon is the long-standing Ultimate Bad Guy (tm) and I was REALLY looking forward to feeling more accomplished beating him than I did when I beat a silver-maned lynel.
Finally some last complaints:
I wish the Sheikahs didn’t have their hands in everything. Who said that THEY should determine who Goddess Hylia’s chosen hero should be? Why were THEY the advanced race when you have one that harvests iron on a regular basis? And I hate that they don’t have any actual temples cause one of the things I liked about the whole thing is that there was a running religion and the Sages and Temples actually had some significance? Even though it’s pointless, I like history and archeological search in a game, even if I’m the only one doing it for my own amusement, cause it just helps me to connect more to the world that I’m playing in but I don’t get that when I walk into a weird-ass abyssal room with small puzzles or fights.
Also there are seriously WAY too many fucking shrines. None of them make any sort of callback to old games. The spirit orb system is confusing cause if that’s a callback to Skyward Sword, then at least say it was by Link’s own doing and not these dead monks that have been preserved in suspended animation for 100 years. Why didn’t Link do the shrines to start with 100 years ago? Also I HATE that you have to collect 4 spirit orbs for hearts or stamina. I mean, we all know stamina sucks, but this just making it REALLY obvious? And seriously it was so fucking easy to die early on into the game, especially if you ran out of stamina or were still fumbling with the new controls.
Why didn’t he ask more questions in this game? If you have voice acting, why didn’t you actually give Link any dialogue? I think that would’ve made a stronger impact for Zelda to get her powers or something.
Seriously the three dragons bug the shit out of me. I know they were supposed to represent the goddesses and it was really cool to first come across them and shit but 1) it’s really hard to keep up with any of them. 2) they don’t really add anything to the plot. 3) was Zelda supposed to pray to a dragon?? 4) Did the dragons from Skyward Sword just like...de-evolve? (devolve?) Cause they spoke and wore clothes??? Why didn’t these??? 5) (and this goes to Skyward Sword too) why is the one who represents the fucking forests, you know, FARORE, have lightning powers? I think Pokemon already took the cake with mythical creatures representing Fire, Ice, and Lightning. This would’ve been better with Fire, Water, and Grass, y’know?
I fucking cringe looking at the map cause it feels like so much it just out of place... Like, how do you move a whole Forest from the south to the north? Why is the volcano moved like, way far to the back? The WHOLE Lake Hylia was moved like, so far from the original spot. Really the only things that stayed in place was Hyrule Castle and Gerudo Desert.
Also don’t give us giant skeletons and then NOT ACTUALLY EXPLAIN WHAT THEY REALLY ARE. Leviathan is not just a blanket term for Giant-Ass-Monster. Was that the Dodongo King at the volcano? The Sky Dragon from Skyward Sword?? What the fuck froze to death? Why was that and the one in the desert more similar the one at the fucking volcano??
Seriously your mini bosses shouldn’t be harder than the Ultimate Bad Guy. The blights were harder and I especially had trouble with the lynels and guardians. And seriously WHY was there a fucking guardian on the fucking Plateau?? I was fucking terrified of these killer robots and it’s seriously unfair that I barely ever get any proper armor or shields to deal with them! Also seriously, why did there have to be a whole graveyard of them right underneath a stupidly challenging maze??
Also I don’t mind teleporting everywhere in a game, but when there’s literally secrets over every last inch of this game (from shrines to korok seeds to weapons, food, and needed pictures) it gets REALLY boring to travel on foot. Especially when climbing mountains in freezing conditions. I mean, I love that it’s so open-world and I love that we get to go exploring whatever we want, but there are a few problems with that. The other being that it’s hard to follow the plot of a game when you hardly have any reason to go do it or to follow any intended order. I did Rivali last, not because I wanted to, but because I didn’t bother to explore that side of the map until it was all that was left. I WISHED SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING EARLIER IN THE GAME CAUSE THE GALE WOULD’VE HELPED TREMENDOUSLY.
Finally I swear someone on the staff has a giant fetish, and not that there’s a problem with that? But can we have ONE game where the Great Fairies aren’t horrifying to look at?? Like, if some people like it, fine, I guess? But gosh damn these bitches just look so GAUDY. There’s too much glittering, there’s too much...just too much everything. Also you should be able to up all your armor, not just a few things? It would’ve been awesome to walk around as Shadow Link and have it upped to be at least decently protective.
Okay.. I think I’m done complaining. Now I’ll stop my own bitching and actually give the game its proper praise.
The game does have some amazingly gorgeous graphics and it blows me away every fucking time. When it does want to intimidate you, it does so very well. And so many things were designed so well. Despite earlier complaints, I love how the dragons were designed to vary from one to another. I love how all the baddies were designed. I love the large array of wardrobe that you get for Link and it’s so much fun to change his looks and dye them different colors. (though, again, you should be able to dye the Champions tunic to GREEN.)
Some of the characters were fun and had some great personalities. I liked the bits of lore this game generated. I also loved whatever small callbacks it did make (like mentioning Naboru, and Makar’s island). I liked that you could catch and ride so many things and it’s fun that there’s a motorcycle (I haven’t unlocked that yet, but I’m sure it’ll be fun ^^). It was fun exploring different worlds within this game and just really see some of these beloved races expand and grow and see how the world is affected by such an apocalypse.
I like hunting for your food and surviving that way rather than random hearts coming out of the grass. The whole sense of survival is pretty awesome and thrilling. It’s fun to discover things in this world and it’s fun to just go around, explore, and make up your own adventure. (I just wish there was a bit  more guiding for the story...)
Some of the reactions in this game are so much fun. Like walking up to people naked, or riding the Lord of the Mountain to any stable. Actually that entire story about the Lord of the Mountain is really sweet and heartwarming. But the actually dialogue that’s written into this game is really fun and pretty spot-on.
I really liked the side mission of buying your own(old?) house and creating an entire village from the ground up. It was such a sweet side-story to the whole thing and was a lot of fun to to. The other side mission of helping the korok through the woods was super cute. ^^ It was little moments like these that really did make me enjoy the game. And I did like being able to stumble into Zelda’s room or study and read about her life in the past, seeing her figure out Link and such.
And the challenges of conquering the Divine Beast was actually fun, but again, would’ve liked a bit more direction. Actually getting through this game was kinda fun, but it was easy for the magic to get sapped out of everything with stupid shit.
Overall, I wouldn’t say this was the worst Zelda game. Heaven know Skyward Sword did much worse. It could’ve been better though and that’s what really makes me sad. I was really looking forward to playing something new and amazing, especially having just finished Wind Waker for the first time before it and was honestly, disappointed after the magic of the new features wore off. It wasn’t the best. But it wasn’t the worst. It just really needed some work on in a few areas. Over all I would rate it 7/10.

@masks-of-happiness from this angsty ask
From afar, the capital is in wreckage of devastation and death, demolished under the titanium fist of the demon prince. This is not the first Kairos has seen of catastrophe, and as decreed in his fate, it will not be the last. Yet the feeling is rehashed anew–chest tight, stomach twisted, a heaviness on his shoulders. It is the opposite of happiness.
He and his daughter of sorts have fled aforetime, for his collected knowledge of this event had served as a prediction, almost (he is no prophet, exactly, but the web of time still ingrains itself into his brain; he can still put pieces together). They are now situated upon an edge of Death Mountain, out of the clutches of the demon prince, watching, waiting, for any outcome, really–the hero isn’t destined for victory. Not this time.
Even from this distance, he could pinpoint the rough location of where his shop is–was. It won’t survive. A cavernous, dismal hunch tells him it won’t. So many of his coherent but disorientated memories were made in that shop. All of the wholehearted ones were. (But what is it to him other than emotional, sentimental value? As a being who exists scattered across the dimensions, he owns other shops. He owns identical shops in more successful timelines. If desired, he could flee to one now and delude himself into forgetting his position in this timeline ever existed. He can do that. Unlike the rest of these miserable, unfortunate souls, he could do that. Why does it hurt him?)
He speaks without prompt, jolliness no longer ringing in his voice; his tone is hushed, transfixed, and dumbfounded. It’s unknown what possesses him to even utter in the depressive silence. “A long, long time ago, I fell to this place from another dimension and was thrust amongst the beasts… and the way they behave, it borders on dementia.”
He’s smiling. There is nothing happy nor anything akin to happiness in his visage, or words, but he’s smiling. A forced habit he could never manage to kill. “I want to go home.” Home does not exist (it never did). “I’m so sick and tired of the taste of tears, the sting of pain, the smell of fear, and the sound of crying.” He says this, despite wishing for nothing more than to be able to shed the tears he can feel building up behind his eyes. What an emotional fool.
For the first time this night, since the duo have evacuated up Death Mountain, he averts–rips–his eyes from the epitome of hell before them, looking down instead to Kaphona. His smile appears as one that’s nostalgic, and the fact he is smiling somehow hammers guilt into him, but he can’t force his face any other way. “I wish I could protect you here. Oh, please don’t cry–” He outreaches a hand, and smudges away a tear of hers with his thumb. “–now, smile.”
How could he just sit there and smile like this was all going to be okay?
Choking back on the painful sobs Kaphona slapped his hand away in fury not understanding how this man could smile in a time like this when their home was gone. Everyone in suffering had fled or chose to die by being in that kingdom’s town but the people she was more concerned with was her own kind. Kokiri. How were they handling as she had ushered them to a sanctuary only she had known about? Would the new seeding of Deku Tree survive? Ganon’s hateful touch had breached her forest leaving behind monsters.
He wasn’t from this timeline from what little she chose to hear. “If you knew you couldn’t protect me then you should have not inflicted this pain on me by choosing to know me! Go find some other Kaphona to protect knowing their downfall! I should have been there for Saria but I was so happy to find... Find someone like you willing to be my family. An outcast due to skin color by most but you overlooked that..” Guilt riding up Kaphona felt sick.
She hated herself.
But she could not bring herself to hate him.
Gorons were nothing more than kind to the two (could it be that they were only kind because they knew Kaphona? How she helped them the best she could?) but Kaphona hated it. She fucking hated Ganondorf. “You... You knew... This entire time... Didn’t you?” Venom seeping out she couldn’t help it. Kaphona wanted to blame someone but only blamed herself. “You fucking knew this entire time! How could you smile like this is nothing?! Telling me to smile? Oh, fuck off. I’m the fucking reason why Ganon got closer to the kingdom because I helped him!”
“I was so blind to Deku Tree’s wisdom because I was childish. Is that what you wanted? Is that why you got close to me? Is so you could see me suffer in agony because everyone I knew is either dead or going to die? Why...  Why did you come here? Did you honestly believe that... I could be saved here? I watched the forest sage DIE in front of my eyes by Ganon’s hands! Do you know how much BLOOD I fucking SAW?!” Kaphona clenched her fist causing roots breaking through the rocks and stayed there but they could have moved closer; if she chose them too.  Turning to Kairos with tears pouring down she couldn’t help but break down crying.
“Why... Why couldn’t you... How can I smile? Father, I’m so lost and tired...” Falling on the ground wailing like the child she is.

Chapter 36: The Heart of a Mother
Cassandra paid the innkeeper to keep the dining room free for us, und once we were all gathered around the dinnertable, she let out a long, drawn out sigh. Gareth still looked grumpy and glared at Link and me as if he blamed us for his „mother“ telling him off. „I still don‘t understand what‘s wrong, Mother. Why do you have to talk to these peasants? And why do I have to be here?“ „First off, you shouldn‘t talk about your parents that way.“ Both Cassandra and I closely watched his reaction. He just knit his eyebrows in confusion. „Those aren‘t my parents. You are my mother, and Father is in the castle.“ It was very evident that it was hard for Cassandra to explain this to him. „When you were a baby, you were… stolen from your birth family. Have you never wondered why you are the only son in our family? And why all of your sisters look like your father, while you and him look nothing alike?“ „No!“, he insisted. „That can‘t be!“ „I‘m so sorry, Gareth.“ The boy was quiet for a moment, but he was still redfaced with anger. „And even if it‘s true, why should I ever consider them my parents? I do not know them! And Father loves me! I am his son, I am the prince of Hyrule!“ He got up and glared at me. „If you think you can take me away and make me give up being a prince, you‘re wrong! I will tell Father about this!“ Then, he rushed out the door before any of us could stop him. „Gareth!“, I called after him, but he was already gone. Cassandra sighed and rubbed her temples. „I‘m so sorry. For all of this.“ She reached into the bag around her waist and produced two long shards of metal. „Here. I somehow convinced Ganondorf that those would be safest with me. They‘re the last two shards, and Sage Darunia already awaits you at the top of the mountain. Now go. You don‘t have much time. I will mobilize my daughters for the final battle, and send word to Princess Zelda that once the Master Sword has been reforced, the siege on Ganondorf‘s castle can begin.“ I got up, still a little shaken from the encounter with Gareth. „Thank you for your help, Cassandra.“ „It‘s the least I can do after I broke the seal that held him.“ I left that uncommented. We had already assumed as much, and giving her grief about it wouldn‘t change what had happened.
Death Mountain had barely changed in the past ten years. It had always been a barren road that led up to the volcano, but this time, even the Tektites seemed to have vanished. While we were walking, Link pulled a red tunic from his satchel and threw it to me. „There you go. It‘ll protect you from the heat inside of Death Mountain.“ „And you‘ll transform into a Goron this time?“, I asked. „Naturally.“ He gave me a smile and took my hand. „We‘re almost at our goal. Once we defeated Ganondorf, we can use the combined power of the Triforce to reverse all of this.“ „Yes“, I replied, looking blankly ahead. „And then, we can save everyone.“
Darunia was waiting for us in front of what I assumed to be the fire temple, and with him was Link the Goron. They didn‘t seem the slightest bit surprised when Link walked up to them in his Goron form. „Do you have all of the shards, brother?“, Darunia asked, prompting Link to pull all of the shattered remains of the Master Sword out of his satchel. „How long will it take?“, I asked, sweating despite the red tunic. Without it, I would have probably been in flames. „A few days, at least. In the meantime, you should contact the other sages. Tell them to mobilize all of our allies.“ We nodded. „Understood.“
Link the Goron brought us back to Goron City, where we could rest and plan the final battle. I had expected myself to feel relief now that everything was out of our hands for now. But not having a solid grip on the situation only heightened my anxiety. Link spent a lot of time telepathically communicating with Saria, who then relayed all of his messages to the other sages. We all would gather in front of the gates of Hyrule City once everything was prepared. There was just one last thing that bothered me. „Didn‘t the Sages say that the sword alone isn‘t enough? And that it needs to be charged with holy energy?“ Link sighed. He was polishing his sword for the third time that day, showing that he was just as anxious as I was. „True. But Zelda says that she has a plan.“ That calmed me down a little. When Zelda had a plan, it was always a good one.
The days crawled by, and finally, Darunia stepped forth from behind the statue in his room, bearing the Master Sword in his hands. „It is done.“ Link got up and took the sword in his hands, and once his fingers closed around the hilt, it was like a missing part of his arm had been returned to him. His eyes lit up with a smile when he turned to me. „Now we can defeat Ganondorf once and for all.“
We gathered all of the Gorons and all of the people in Kakariko who were capable of fighting. Led by Impa and Daruina, both in the traditional armor of their respective people, we approached the gate of Hyrule City. There stood Princess Zelda with the remaining Hylians, and a whole army of Labrynnians. Princess Ruto had donned her people‘s traditional armor, light, gold plated scale armor. Next to the Hylians and Labrynnians were the Gerudo, with Naboru at the front. I even recognized some of Cassandra‘s daughters among them. Once everyone was gathered, Zelda lifted her voice. „My people, my friends and allies, today is the day we take back our homes. We all suffered loss at the hands of Ganondorf. No more! He will pay for his crimes, and we will make his tower of obsidian crumble around him. We are all here because we do not fear death, and at this point, we gave naught to lose anymore, but everything to gain.“ She gestured towards Link. „See the Hero of Time, bearing the Sword of Evil‘s Bane! It is our duty to pave his way to Ganondorf, so that he may free us all.“ She drew her rapier and held it aloft, and Link followed her example with the Master Sword. „To victory!“ Everyone rasied their weapons and repeated „To victory!“ loud enough that the chorus must have rang up to the castle.
We fought our way to the city, killing the monsters that now infested it. Redead. The sight of them made me shiver, and I couldn‘t help but wonder how many of them had once been people I knew. Were my parents among them? I shook off the thought. I couldn‘t get scared right now. We made our way to the castle, mowing down all of the monsters in our path. Link slipped through the skirmishes, up to the throne room, and I followed him, Zelda close behind me. This was all between the four of us.
The roar of battle had become a murmur by the time we entered the huge throne room and were met by Ganondorf… with Gareth sitting on the armrest of the throne. „Ganondorf, your reign of evil ends here“, Link said, brandishing the Master Sword and approaching his hated foe. Just in that moment, Ganondorf snatched Gareth and held him to his chest. „Father?“, Gareth yelped and tried to free himself, but Ganondorf was far too strong. „I wouldn‘t do that if I were you, Hero“, the Gerudo smirked. „Would be a shame if something were to happen to your precious son.“ „Using a small child as a meatshield? That‘s low, even for you“, I spat. Ganondorf didn‘t even look at me. Instead, his eyes wandered to the Master Sword. „Is that all the Goddesses have to offer? A has-been hero, a failure of a princess and a puppet that won‘t stay down?“ „Father! Father! I don‘t understand!“, Gareth whimpered. „Please, Father, it hurts.“ „Quiet. I put up with your brattiness long enough. Time for you to fulfil your purpose.“ Ganondorf tightened his grip on Gareth, and I was about to lurch forward. Zelda yanked me back. „Don‘t!“ Ganondorf laughed his deep, guttural laugh. „So helpless, just because I am holding this little brat hostage.“ I was close to tears. No, I couldn‘t let him hurt Gareth. „Gareth! Gareth, Mommy and Daddy love you! We love you so so much.“ Now Gareth‘s eyes filled with tears as well. „Mommy…?“ And it was at this point that he seemed to understand. „Mommy, Daddy, I love you too.“ It was like an echo, faint at first, then clearer in my mind. Love is to be each other‘s Power, Courage and Wisdom, and thus, in love, the Goddesses are among us. The Master Sword began to glow, and Ganondorf‘s eyes widened. „No! Impossible! I destroyed the Sacred Realm! The Triforce is mine!“ He cast Gareth aside, and I could only watch in horror as my son crashed against the wall and slid to the ground. Unconcious or dead? The throne room dissolved around us, and another wave of monsters rushed towards us. Zelda grabbed my arm. „Come on, we have to keep the monsters away from Link, so he can take on Ganondorf!“
I tried to concentrate on fighting, but I couldn‘t help but throw glances over my shoulder to make sure Link didn‘t need any help. And Gareth… Oh please, Goddesses, let Gareth be alive. Link fought bravely, and finally, light filled the sky and with a long, raging scream, Ganondorf collapsed to the ground. The monsters around us either dropped dead or turned and fled, and I rushed to Link. But instead of hugging him, I ran past him to where Gareth was sprawled out on the ground. There was a thin trail of blood going down his face, and as I cupped his cheeks, his eyes fluttered open. He had dark blue eyes, like his father. „Mommy… I don‘t want to be a prince anymore.“ I sobbed. „That‘s okay, sweetie. You don‘t have to be a prince if you don‘t want to.“ „You and Daddy can make everything right again. Right?“ I nodded, tears running down my face. „Yes, sweetie. That‘s why we‘re here.“ „It‘s going to be difficult“, Zelda said as she approached us and crouched down next to me. „I do have Ganondorf‘s fragment of the Triforce now, but a piece seems to be missing.“ „I have it“, Cassandra‘s voice said from behind us. In her hand, she held a small red crystal, the very crystal that had been embedded into her chest before. Zelda took the shard and gave Cassandra a grateful smile. „You have more than made up for your deeds, Cassandra.“ „I really haven‘t“, Cassandra replied. „There‘s no absolution for the destruction my carelessness has caused.“ Gareth smiled at me, but it was a painful smile. „It‘s okay, Mommy. You can go. Make everything right again.“ I kissed his forehead. „I promise.“ Zelda reunited the crystal with the rest of the Triforce, and opened a timeportal with it. Through it, I could see the scene of Ganondorf cornering her and Link in his old fortress, shortly after he sent me forward in time, but it was like I was standing behind Ganondorf. Link took the Master Sword. „Let‘s go.“ Together, we charged through the portal, sword pointing at Ganondorf‘s back.
It pierced it heart from behind, and before either Link or Zelda could react, the future Link and the Master Sword dissolved as their timeline was erased. Ganondorf fell dead, and I looked up at my husband and the princess with a bewildered look. „Rebecca!“ Zelda called out and ran up to me to hug me. „But Ganondorf just...“ „It‘s a long story“, I told her. „And you will learn of it soon enough through your Triforce of Wisdom. What‘s important right now is that Ganondorf is dead.“ I looked at the Gerudo‘s body and softly sighed. Finally. Finally it was over.
