I actually think Rabbit both regresses and is a cg!!

Very fussy during regression, but not in the sense that he wants to be babied as much as he wants things kept how he left them when he was big. He's very particular about his home, and he will NOT abide by any messes just because he's small!!

If he had a tv he'd be one of those toddlers who screams at the tv like NOOO ELMO THE HAT DOES NOT GO ON YOUR FOOT!!!!

When he starts to have fun, he gets REALLY into it. Think of that episode in New Adventures where he dresses up as a wizard - if he gets too wrapped up in a game he has to be redirected eventually or he'll never get any rest (and neither will his cgs)

Loves picking flowers with his cg and bringing a plushie out to his garden to show off his plants - as long as they bring a blanket so nothing gets dirty 🙃

Gets worked up really easily, especially if he thinks he's made a mistake and starts beating himself up, or if he's especially overwhelmed

general stuff;

hes 49 years old as of game time

necromancy wizard, learned scholar, heavy interest in the boundaries between life and death and undeath, researching different types of resurrection unrelated to god worship (just not a big fan of asking for favours yknow)

stoic even keeled personality, reacts neutrally or stone faced to most things (this does not mean hes uncaring, hes got a curious nature). he used to be very showy and loud when he was younger, he finds that now very embarrassing

used to be a leader of an adventuring band in his 20s, fell apart when his group were defeated in battle leaving him lone survivor, wasnt a necromancer back then

has a distinct lack of self regard, half of him believes he'll be more of use untethered to the chain of mortality (undead in some fashion, or just thinking his corpse more functionally useful) the other half is just still struggling with survivors guilt (lol)

wanders around looking for old crypts and tombs to help his arcane pursuits, do-good's alot accidentally while he does, though most people get scared of him when he reveals the necromancy magic so hes got a mixed reputation (has some sort of misnomer like The Specter of so-and-so that wyll probably recognizes and laughs about)

will go along with just about anything if it amuses him, and has a weird sense of humour. hard to catch off guard or fluster, he yes-and's people alot to see how far they'll go with something or out bluff them (sometimes this causes them to try and beat the shit out of him)

truthful about his feelings when asked, but rarely volunteers his thoughts on things of his own accord, this gives him a weirdly mysterious image at first to most people

treats his raised corpses with care befitting living beings outside combat, and used to even raise some for company even if they were functionally just puppets.

he likes skeletons more than zombies (smell…)

his fake in game quest line is called 'The Wandering Necromancer' and involves inquiring about his old adventuring days of times past and learning why he's so into skeletons. He eventually reveals his past and you can bring up his groups old misadventures (oh my god you were the backstreet boys???) and he is very embarrassed by it. He reveals his group was felled by a lich, and he never found their bodies so hes always been curious on a way to speak with them again somehow.

plot continues BLAH BLAH eventually you find out that lich is still around and swagdor's old friends are now in its undead service so you go to kill it <3 but on the way he considers if he should take the lich's place so he can have his old companions around again (even if they're in his undead service) and try to give them some semblance of new twisted life again. You either help him with the preparations (yay phylacterys) or go bro you need to Move On. Man. and instead choose to release their souls when the lich is killed.

swagdor is stronger as a lich but also becomes even more detached from concepts of mortality (his sense of danger is basically nill now regarding others... its okay if u die ill bring u back somehow :) <- unnerving smile) and also all his dead friends are talking to him in his ear so he's constantly got a sense of being away from everything.

unliched swagdor moves on properly and begins The Healing Process (better late than never king) and seems more present in current ongoings, finding a place he can really set his feet. He's also less obsessed with death but sees his necromancy instead as a means to help and speak with wayward souls of the dead.

useless trivia corner: his names swagdor bc i based him off an old div2 oc i made when i was playing that game with aqua, where i used one of the randomly generated names they gave me and put the word swag into it (lol) i now am using his div2 swagdor's adventures as a semi basis for his new bg3 versions background thats why his younger versions outfit is based off that one captain armour set i never took off in that game

shadowheart, shes a half-elf cleric of shar. shar is the goddess of loss and darkness. she tries really hard to be rude and mysterious but shes really not. the fandom calls her shart. because SHAdowheaRT

astarion! elf vampire and rogue. he sucks so bad. hes genuinely a bad, selfish, self centered, rude, power hungry person. he had imo the most tragic backstory in the game and im obsessed with him. white hair and trauma

gale, who is a human, wizard and atomic bomb. hes like a book nerd and very verbose and also mysterycats best friend shes his favorite

wyll, human warlock. hes a really good guy, very hero-y, and also he has a pact with a devil

karlach!!! you know her youve drawn her. shes a tiefling and a barbarian. she also has a bomb on her chest kind of except its more of a malfuctioning heater. astarion has the saddest backstory but she had the saddest in-game story (again in my opinion) also shes very kind and energetic and i love her so so much

Sonic character music HCs

 I’ve been obsessed with both the Sonic the hedgehog series and Music in general for over a year now, so i figured i could combine those interests in a fun way. I’m gonna describe what kind of music i personally think the characters would like/listen to. And just so you know, this is just my thoughts on it, i’m not saying im right or anything. And while i am trying to match these genuinely, it’s also not something i’m taking fully seriously. I’m just doin this for fun :)

I also suggest looking up some of the terms/artists/genres i use here if you’re not already familiar with them! Might help you understand my reasoning a bit more, and who knows, you might even find a new favourite artist 👀

Oh, and one more thing. While i am of course going to go off of music i’m familiar with, i’ll try to avoid assigning characters music that i like just because its music that i like. That being said, i will of course, be just a tad bit biased. Anyways, time to start with the blue boy himself!!

Sonic

Sonic is somewhat easy. Seeing as how his main thing is standing up against tyranny, i imagine he’d definitely be a fan of punk. At first i thought of pop punk specifically, due to its high energy, but i feel like Sonic would find it a bit too commercial. Same thing with skate punk. I feel like anarcho-punk could be a little more up his alley? Maybe something like chumbawumba.

Oh, and personal bias time: I think he would like King gizzard and the Lizard wizard due to the themes of enviromentalism.

Now, i’m completely split between two different paths here. The first option is EDM. Just overall music that sounds electronic, maybe dance, i dunno. The second option however, is one that i personally prefer: Just like, music with weirdass time signatures and polyrhythms n shit. Math rock, Prog, that kinda stuff. Specific bands i’m thinking about is Tool, King crimson, Black midi, maybe even KGLW (again, personal bias). Tails would think music theory is fucking dope and would be OBSESSED with this kinda music lmao.

Now, this is the rare instance that i feel justified in being biased, because his level themes in sa2 make me believe that knuckles is a hiphop head. Specifically, instrumental hip hop. I think he’d be a big fan of J Dilla’s style of hip hop production in general, with the soft fuzzy feel of songs like The light. Otherwise i feel like he likes some boom bap, like Illmatic.

I honestly feel like Amy is the kinda person who enjoys like, any type of music? Like this gal will listen to some chill folk music and then go directly to hardcore industrial rock lmao. I think her favourite genre is pop though. First artist that pops into mind is Carly rae jepsen, not only because she makes great pop music, but also since her songs are often about love, which i feel fits Amy pretty well. She’d probably like something more off-kilter like art pop too. She LOVES Björk, i feel confident in saying that.

I’ve noticed that this one is quite varied (and if you’re curious, i don’t really mind the whole taylor swift thing, but i also don’t really care for it either), but i want to bring up a genre that i haven’t seen anyone else suggest Shadow being a fan of: Shoegaze. I think he would find the whole noisy, dreamlike, nearly overwhelming feeling of shoegaze calming. I don’t know, there’s just something about Shoegaze that makes me feel like it fits shadow perfectly. Only bands i really know are Slowdive and My bloody valentine, but i still feel confident in my opinion.

I also feel like the idea of him enjoying indie folk (something like the mountain goats) but would not be caught DEAD listening to it is really funny. The day that rouge finds out will not be a happy day for anyone in a ten mile radius.

Now, there’s a very easy answer here. Jazz. But i feel like rouge would also enjoy stuff like Soul and funk. She’d also check out music Shadow listens to, both to annoy him and out of genuine interest. Not much else i have to say here tbh.

Similarly to Amy, i think Silver enjoys practically anything and everything, and is also super open to trying new stuff. If he has a preference though, i think he enjoys dance music? Or just electronic stuff in general. Daft punk comes to mind, specifically Discovery.

I feel like Blaze is someone who simply hasn’t been able to listen to a lot of music yet? Her friends (particularly Silver and Amy) have given her a bunch of recommendations, and while she doesn’t have a preference yet, she has enjoyed some of the stuff that they have played.

Vector

On the complete contrary to Blaze, Vector is a supreme Music nerd. You name an artist or album, he is at the very least aware of them. He’s the kinda guy who will talk about some super obscure folk album from the 70′s and refer to it as if its some kind of holy grail. It’s great. He would have a vinyl collection, but due to the chaotix’s financial situation, he settles for CDs instead. Again, he enjoys practically anything, but i feel like his favourite genre is progrock. He also remixes music for fun.

ugh one thing i dislike about under the oak tree is how riftan and maxi have like,,, no friends. like riftan is such a fucking asshole to his knights and has such a stick up his ass that i have to wonder why do these other knights follow him ??? his entire character trait is being a downright asshole to everyone but maxi and it gets tiring to read at some points bc to me, it really flattens the world.

because personally, even when i read a romance, i want the main leads to have an enriched life outside of their love interest! i always hoped to see a scene of riftan having some form of camaraderie w his knights and treating them with,,, at least a little bit of friendliness, perhaps ??? bc i want there to be a reason these knights are following riftan, other than just him being a good warrior. i know riftans general disposition is very reserved and rigid but good god how many times has he gone to war w these guys??? and yet he cant even return a modicum of the affection and respect ruth and the other knights give to him smfhhhh

and as for maxi. i have a less of a grudge w her bc of her backstory obviously but i wish the author couldve shown her finding some solace in friendship as part of her journey in healing. its beautiful that she comes to see riftan as a source of home and safety, but i also wanted to see her dynamic w ruth deepen, along with Agnes. *especially* Agnes, actually, i want Maxi to slowly but surely stop feeling insecure and threatened around her. the little nuggets of her interacting w them and the maids and other knights are so charming and heartwarming to see. I want to see Maxi LOVE the people in their house and form genuine connections with them beyond surface level.

I do think the author does a good job of that when it comes to maxi and the household staff but.. the most disappointing part and the entire reason of this post was how utterly disappointed I was with maxi going to Nornui for three years and not making any fucking FRIENDS. like BRUH. do you know how desperately i wanted to see Maxi in Nornui, thriving despite herself, socially thriving and loving magic even while she's missing riftan. Like I haven't read book 3 yet but that little sneak peak we got of the first few chapters where some of the other students treated her like shit and she only had surface level friendships with some other wizards was sO FRUSTRATING TO READDD. l

like you're telling me maxi left home for THREE YEARS and she spent that ENTIRE TIME missing riftan and keeping everyone at a distance ???? didn't she leave bc she felt suffocated by riftans obsession and she wanted to become more of her own person ??? what the hell was the point then if she made no real connections and just wasted it thinking about riftan lmfao. they'll just go back to where they started- two people who are obsessed w each other w no other companionship, except now maxi just knows how to throw magic rocks or whatever lmfao.

sigh. im being being a bit nitpicky but i just really really wanted to see maxi in nornui making really good friends and building up confidence and pride- and then i wanted her to come back to anatol and for her riftan to see her and see how she's more at ease, maybe even a little more charming, and more confident after spending time in the towers and gaining the admiration and respect of other wizards, and coming back w her own allies and supporters. people whose companionship she forged on her own instead of what was forced onto her (like her marriage). like if it had been up to me i wouldnt have even had any of the wizards at the tower be rude to maxi- i wanted her leave in the tower to be one where she found herself and who she was, beyond her marriage, beyond even her magic.

like even though maxi is shy and reserved i wanted to see her come out of her shell a little bit is that too much to ask? and i wouldve loved to see that kind of transformation in her and how riftan wouldve handled it. of course its not to say that maxi shouldve come back from nornui as an extremely confident outgoing girl with no fears, in fact i think having a significant change but then her returning to anatol and bringing up her old habits and characteristics against who she's become wouldve been so delicious to see , but alas, i dont think thats where the story goes at all.

okay so . a lot happens to betty,

starting with the pre-canon stuff from fionna and cake. before the mushroom war shes shown repeatively sacrificing for simon, they start officially dating when betty misses her bus for simon, they go on an expedition to find an ancient book and when they do she makes simon take all the credit for it. theres a scene with them sitting at the bus stop after with the song "everything in you" (written for the show) playing. lyrics im normal about

original show betty plotline now.; in the episode "betty", simon gets turned back human after getting too close to this wizard thing that steals magic (long story its not important right now). he makes a portal back to the past to say goodbye to betty, and she jumps through the portal. the crown doesnt work anymore and simon starts slowly dying so betty goes and just beats up the wizard thing to get the crown's magic back. this works and hes the ice king again. she then starts obsessively trying to cure his curse and keep him alive

she does a ritual with magic man (this other guy. all you need to know is hes magic and insane) to help him become the ruler of mars. finn and jake intervene and it goes all wrong and betty gets all of magic man's insanity and wizardry. and magic man is now normal man.

in "king's ransom" she takes ice king's crown and does Some modification to it. in "broke his crown" princess bubblegum and marceline go into the crown with virtual reality and find out betty put an ai of herself in the crown to fix the curse. the ai causes ice king to act Really weird like he just can not function. they destabilize the ai and everythings good now

in the elementals miniseries, she gets finn and jake to collect gems to power a spell to go back in time to stop the entire mushroom war. ice king stops this (albeit unintentionally) and accidentally zaps betty to mars.

in "temple of mars" we see her on mars, trying to get over her obsession with trying to cure simon's curse. she does not get over it

in "come along with me", the series finale, she does a ritual to summon golb (basically god). it works, ice king and betty (also finn hes not important right now though) end up getting eaten by golb. golb digests them and strips them down to their core forms (ice king -> simon, betty -> not insane anymore) and betty pushes them out of a hole in the side of golb. she uses the crown (which was originally a wish crown, it was cursed by the first wisher.) to wish to "be able to keep simon safe no matter what" (which is her deepest want since the crown only grants what the wisher wants most. shes so obsessed with her cringe ass husband...). she becomes golb.

back to fionna and cake: simon repeatively tries to go to golbetty (golb+betty) through a ritual and succeeds on the 3rd try. after some non-betty related things, golbetty talks to simon through a mental reliving of when simon stopped betty at the bus. he says he couldve tried more to support her like she supported him. he tries to go on the bus with her, stops and says "this isnt how it happened". im just gonna write the dialogue here it makes me . SO insane

B: "we made our choices. we couldve made better ones, but i dont have any regrets. you were a wonderful experience." S: "you were... everything."

I know it was explained but I’m still a little confused. Why did Harrys patronus change to match Ginny later in life? In the books that only happens to snape who was unhealthily obsessed with Lily and Tonks who was unhealthily pining after Remus. I guess my biggest question is that why didn’t it naturally match Ginny’s from day one? James and Lily and Theo and Kane all naturally match one another without it having to change for each other but Harry and Ginny’s only started to match after years of dating. So don’t misunderstand me Hinny is my favorite couple but doesn’t that make them less soulmates than the other couples who’s have always matched each others? The couples with naturally matching ones have naturally matching souls where Harrys only changed because of his strong feelings and because he fell in love. Again Im just as much a hinny lover as the rest of you but isn’t their matching patnrouses not at all representative of them being soulmates and actually just that Harry has strong feelings for Ginny? I feel stupid I know it was explained but Im still confused 😅

My second question is since you say they are soulmates, is that ever going to be shown mutually? We’ve really only seen it magically shown that Harry loves Ginny. His love for her broke the love potion, his love for her broke him out of the veela trance, his love for her is reflected in his patnrouses, so on and so forth. I thought it was going to be shown when Ginny was under the bloodlust potion when he planned to kiss her and break her out of it because she loves him, but it didn’t work at all lmao. So again I love Hinny and love everything that’s happened I just have noticed only Harry’s love for Ginny has been shown magically. There hasn’t really been any visible magic that shows Ginny’s love for Harry. Even though we all know she loves him too.

I’m really just curious. I know you still have a lot of story to tell and I’m simply wondering if I should hold out hope for a big beautiful magic something that shows Ginny’s love for Harry. Im a romantic can you tell? 😅

Like many have said I am also counting down the days until Third Times the Charm. Im still a little in shock over Zee’s death but I am hoping that it wasn’t in vain and that Harry gets Sirius back, and not just this zombie inferi version of him. At least then the twins will have one of their parents again. But also I dont want the wizarding world going into chaos because they all now think they can bring their loved ones back to life, so maybe Im not sure what I want 😅. Im super exicted to see how it all goes down

I did explain it yes. First of all, I don't believe that every person who is in love or the perfect match have matching Patronuses. James and Lily did, but Harry and Ginny didn't in canon and yet I felt it was perfect for Harry to have a stag and Ginny to have a horse. I wanted to keep that same thing here. However, I gave Harry multiple Patronuses to show the love he felt for his fathers. He was too young when he first created his Patronus. He and Ginny were friends then, but nothing more. To me, the idea that as they grew, as their love blossomed to more, and as they became intimate, it was the final step that gave Harry an additional Patronus that matched Ginny's. It doesn't mean he cares for her more than him, its just that he has more than one and she does not.

I disagree with the stronger feelings notion. The reason Ginny survived the potion was because of her love for Harry. Harry's ability to break out of these trances is because he is a very powerful wizard (Ginny is as well in her own right, but Harry is vastly more powerful). It is because of this strength that he was able to defeat his while Ginny's strength and her love for Harry kept her alive, even if the hold the potion had on her didn't break. I think it's this connection that further makes them soul mates in ways no other couple can quite compete with. Theo and Sebastian and Remus and Tonks are meant to be together as well and yes their bond is strong, they have matching Patronuses, and are very much souls in love, but Hinny are of a different breed in my mind.

Ginny loves Harry more than anything and I think I have shown that throughout the story. They will have many more moments together in TTTC

I hope Third Times the Charm has a few surprises for you to come :D

okokok I think it would be fun to be a children's book but like? Let's be honest here that's not happening. THOUGH if it would happen? One of those thin, fully illustrated ones. Watercolor maybe... who knows. I know most children stories have like.... some sorta moral? A lesson of sorts. I don't think I would have one. Format? Well there's these two books I've read recently and I have NO idea what you would call the formatting but im obsessed with it.

books are long way down and the book thief, respectively. (Don't tell anyone but I haven't actually finished the book thief,,, working on it) obviously some divide in the formatting here, but they're both atypical for a book.

There would be a bunch of writing in the margins and a cracked spine and dog eared pages etc because I don't see myself being a perfect book like brand new style. Also think it would be cool to be a huge dramatic spell book of sorts but like. Let's be real here I'm not getting that either.. mayhaps a small book. Like those really small horror novels we have. Thick, but small enough to fit in a hoodie pocket if you really wanted. also like a bazillion years old (not actually that old tbh)

I'm really interested to hear about your episode 11/12 CRK rewrite, do you mind explaining the plot? If it's too long to explain or smth, can you at least give some basic plot points/major changes?

[pls rb] It's a bit messy tbh since i never got into the nitty-gritty of the exact play by play events, but i had a lot of thoughts on how i would like to have restructured it / rewritten certain parts. its always bugged me how tonally distant the hb kingdom is from,,,, everything else in the main storyline, especially compared to pv and cacao's plotlines. one of the key things is that i took the mention pitaya burned down the kingdom at one point WAY more seriously than the plot does - as well as them 'taking over' the kingdom. i should note that they aren't nessacarily malicious, moreso trying to bait hollyberry out of hiding to fight them and going about it in the worst way possible. The timeline of cr is so messy and conflicting [esp now with the implication roguefort was very young when their family died in the ob christmas event and they died in my fanon BECAUSE of the pitaya attack but i had other stuff before that that said it was only like 6-7 years ago but. AUGH. WHATEVER]. TLDR the hollyberry kingdom has rebuilt but they're still kinda a mess and slowly losing faith in the royal family and turning to the great houses - leading to a setup similar to the princess contest [i think the 'princess contest' is stupid as hell, like, especially when princess herself shows up for it but it 'must go on'].

TO SUMMARIZE SOME THINGS. For my fanon in general i've kicked gingerbrave and co out of the main plotline - nothing against them, but persoanlly them being shoved into every plotline makes their narratives suffer drastically [at least in my fanon] . i've weighed the thought of either rasp or princess being the main protagonist but like . princess probably makes more sense im just HEAVILY biased towards rasp. Background stuff thats important to the characters -rasp has been staying in the cookie kingdom for a while and becoming dissalussioned with her house and hollyberry kingdom as she spends time away from the suffocating enviorment and begins falling in love with parfait - but cant commit because she can't be in love with a commoner under her house's watch. puts off going home until a carriage shows up asking her to come back to the kigndom for the contest. Is not havign a good time and only gets more and more upset as the plot goes on - batflower [oc of mine] was a heiress, but lost her manor in the pitaya attack. she's a power-obsessed asshole who does Not value people unless they contribute to her amusement or game. Is a literal fucking serial killer! - uhhhh i wanted to do more with tiger lily but the brainrot was never there. i think it would be sillly if part of the reason she went missing was related to hollyberry's dissapearance - i also kicked out the cookies of darkness not because they're irrelevant or completely gone i just liked using batflower and pitaya as the villians wayy more. they might be around but probably serving a more minor role - like how affogato is the main antagonist in chp 13/14 but theyre still around OKAY SO. It runs mostly the same but the one to poison their drinks is - suprise suprise - batflower ! nyx holds a lot of envy towards the remaining heiresses [especially rasp who is trying to walk away from the privlidge she'd been given that batflower so desprately wants back] and she spikes the heiresses' drinks with something similar as to what wizard/strawberry get in the original. And raspberry's already having her emotions run high and is pretty pissy and her and princess do Not Get Along so they start fighting before dueling [11-27 boss fight] - though it gets interupted by batflower showing herself, unfurling her wings and mocking them for falling right into her play. Yadda yadda drama stuff yadda yadda rasp falling even deeper into her want to leave her role because she sees the reflection of what it can do to people in batflower but also. THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTING [batflower replaces the 11-30 boss - it fits nyx well since its in a garden and nyx has plant magic it uses to make its poisons]. Once batflower is beat she retreats. Probably shows up later at minimum as an observer but i havent figured that out. Rest proceeds mostly as normal, with hollyberry showing up having realized how badly she failed her kingdom and what pitaya has done to it as 'ruler', and promptly beats their ass into next week and probably makes them do community service /LH. i wanted to do more to hb's characer arc and i DID mostly but im trying not to get too deep into the psychology of the events [as i often tend to do] and just tell it as it is. i think it would be cute if wildberry was with her [since she took him in while she was in hiding] and when its revealed shes the queen he gets promoted to her personal bodyguard. just thought that though idk a lot of this is loose Rasp at this point is done, goes home, gets in a fight with mousse and leaves the kingdom for good - though that probably wouldnt be featured in the plot. what WOULD be featured is a tiger lily reuinion with her family - i havent thought abt it much but it annoys me to NO FUCKING END that she is completely written off despite being LITERALLY *the missing princess*. And they do nothing with her besides jungleberry offhandedly remarking "oh that might be her,,," like GIRL YOURE NOT GONNA ?? INVESTIGATE ??? i think thats it . i might be forgetting something but whatever.

These wizards come across as standoffish and calculating most of the time. They’re glances being taken at face value. Almost like numbers are in their eyes. But if they looked deeper, if they looked to where they exactly are looking, they’d find a much simpler answer. They would find that they are looking for the exit. Constantly figuring out the fastest way out. Chasing the door because it’s the only thing that feels familiar to them. Like a child having to watch the horrors from afar.

They’re given the title of legendary very easily. Few and far in between while also being hard to get a hold of. Very akin to the same creatures and stories they study and learn over their lives. But would anyone know that they also wish to see the wonders? To be able to step out of the cave they were cornered in and to see the world through a different lens. Looking at the grassy hills and purple skies with joy and courage. Gazing at the starry sky, counting as many as they can thinking it’ll be the last.

Needless to say, they spend a lot of time in their head. Creating worlds and universes with encyclopedia entries down to even the different types of grasses. Inserting people into their lives they wish were there. Having people who they would love to talk to, becoming their friend. Annoyances becoming villains and them becoming the heroine with a sword and shield at the ready. Winning the day against the dragon queen with light and hope. A very bright future contrasting their dark look on life and the spiral.

If you were to get close to them, you might even see something different and strange compared to the rest of them. A warming feeling emanating off of them. A aura that feels like cashmere and beige, but dappled with gold and eccentricity. Something about them is so comforting and alluring. Yet so wild and unpredictable like a story half written. And you are the muse that finishes the last half. In color, or grayscale, depending on how you want this story to end.

this is another addition of the dual schools post! its kind of a sadder one so to speak; but i hope its not too depressing!

the combo for this one is death + myth :]

How often do they mourn the loss of those who would fall quiet on your lips. A voice seeming not really their own, as if they’re speaking for someone else. They speak about them as if they were still here, as if you could give them a hug and know exactly what they were feeling. But it’s all just backlogs and memories stored too deep for anyone to look through. Pages so thick with dust they look double in size.

Catacombs and mausoleums becoming some of their favorite spots. Being able to talk with people who have a fear of being forgotten, and the wizard having the burden of being unforgettable. Cursed with knowledge they wouldn’t pass onto anyone else. A torch burning bright and hot just leaving you with burns and scars until it finally takes your body. Even in death you would be asked to help you think.

Somber is the best word to describe these wizards. Given the knowledge and sometimes weight of being the unknowns vessel. Being told to write a book on things no one else would understand. To understand a language so convoluted yet so clear to you. But they would write it, they would write 3 books if it meant someone else might start catching on. If they had to publish a lengthy series, they would do it. People need to know this; people need to at least feel this weight with them.

Once you finally see past them and their ‘gift’ do you see what they are. You will see someone who cares so deeply for everyone to be heard and understood. A child who just wanted to feel included and feel loved in their community. The question you should ask yourself is not if you should help them, but rather, why do you want to help them. Is it because you feel the need? Or maybe because it’s simply the right thing to do. Either way, only they will decide if you picked the right answer. For they are the speaker of the dead and the lost; they never needed to add your voice to their choir.

i was very inspired by @t00thbox who made a post about the death school! they brought up some amazing points that got my brain going so I came up with this!!

the only warning I have is that there is mentions of bruises and cuts of sorts so beware of that!! otherwise enjoy!

For some people it’s hard for them to accept the give and take of the world. Fearful of the things that could be so easily taken away from us. Albeit a person, an object, an idea; whatever it is they would defend it with everything they have. Fighting until there’s dirt under their fingernails.

You would think the same thing looking at some of us. Wounds covering our body, lacerations and deep bruises seeming more common than any blemish or discoloration. Your thoughts may wander to the countless acts of selflessness that we acted upon. Shielding the weak with our bodies. Throwing up a banner of revolt and charging head first.

That would’ve been more heroic if that was true. In reality, we act as conduits. Siphoning our own soul so that someone else could achieve those same heroics we could never even dream of. Sparing no expense as long as it fills them with a sense of power and courage.

But at the end of the day, we all are bones. We return to the soil and ash we were molded from. Only our bones remain as our last eulogy is written in a tongue only our brethren can decipher. And as our caskets are lowered, only those of the same school may lower their heads in respect.

The duty of a necromancer is a long one. A journey that takes you down roads that have been long forgotten. But it is one of the more meaningful paths you’ll come across.

here’s a quick little blurb that I’ve been working on for a little bit now!! it was sparked by Val’s brilliant dual schools post 🖤

this post is about a fire + life school combination!

They’re extremely passionate people. Always wishing and pushing for a future that they hold dear in their heart. The same heart they wear on their sleeve. Beating loudly for anyone who wants to listen; to hear their song of love and loss. To the beat of their past experiences and what they hold fast to.

They have the same gentle touch that is known about life wizards, but there’s some depth to it. Instead of a soothing wave of calm washing over you it’s more of drive that comes from them. A sense of adrenaline surging through you like a forest set ablaze by not arson, but with purpose. You can stand up now with renewed vigor, not by usual means, but with valor knowing that no one else can complete this task but you now.

They’ve been known to be quite stubborn in their opinions and way of thinking. But they don’t mean to come across that way. They just believe so fully with their souls that it’s true. Believing is without seeing and without judgement.

i am picking one for each campaign bc. hehehe (do i have a thing for unhinged women. yes)

c1: ok i know she is not so minor but ridley. i think she is my fav c1 villain. i love how she interacts with the party, she is literally the perfect foil to percy (like oh my god, you wanna talk about narrative foils, who is doing it like percy and ridley???), and she gets by far the most iconic and memorable death of any c1 villain imo. "percy's killing you, not us" has been burned into my brain since i heard it. i also think it is partially the tlovm effect, but she is highly underrated compared to the briarwoods like idk man i feel like nobody talks about her nowadays even though she was in tlovm!!! plus every single fanart of her SLAPS and so does marisha's halloween costume. in conclusion: i love her

c2: i would say astrid but she is too major imo so VESS DEROGNA. im literally obsessed with her what was UP with her connection to the nine eyes like what was her relationship with the tomb takers and WHAT was she even trying to ACCOMPLISH like GIRL and also the beacons and yeza like what was she trying to have him do??? was it just her or was the whole assembly in on it?? and then she just turns into a STORY HOOK and DIES and granted that is also a certified iconic cr moment but like girl!!! girl what!!!! NOT TO MENTION she holds the EXACT SAME POSITION delilah briarwood HERSELF held and we know NOTHING ABOUT THAT. i think she is for sure far more connected than people give her credit for and is perhaps behind some of the c3 happenings. she is the literal definition of haunting the narrative like bestie she caused the entire aeor arc and Nobody talks about her!!! girl what!!! anyways as u can see i think about her on a very regular basis tbh. im obsessed.

c3: marwa. i dont have a lot to say about her other than shes just like me fr and i hope that she is the shopkeeper they decide to befriend this campaign bc i love her

i mean like i have a whole post about bells hells as the oh hellos songs. i also do in fact have several working dedicated character playlists bc im Like That (including a laerynn playlist that is only mitski songs, aabria i hope you are proud of me). HOWEVER chasing twisters by delta rae is an imodna song bc 1) i saw an animatic of it (i am in fact not a free thinker) 2) yeehaw, storm, and undead vibes and 3) there are literally 2 female singers and the first verse is imogen (born with lightning in her heels, lost hope when she was still young, breakin' horses in the sky, chasing twisters in the canyon) and the second verse is laudna (notably has little soul left, idk if imogen is the only soul laudna has saved but she has in fact saved her) and 4) kiki hasnt watched c3 in like a year but she said this song reminds her of imodna when i sent it to her and kiki is always right. its so perfect sue me (also this is one of like maybe 3 ship songs i can think of lmao)
