Jade brushed her fingers through her wet hair, replaced the towel around her body with a soft robe Alexander had bought her mere hours before when they'd been out shopping, looked back at herself in the mirror, then applied a thin layer of moisturiser. Her skin still seemed to be tingling from where his hands had been, had bent her into place, marked her, taken her into complete oblivion. She was surrounded by a pleasant cloud of rose and hibiscus, the new cream making her skin glow and she was excited by the fact that she had a multitude of new dresses that she could not wait to wear.

The view in front of her when she stepped out of the bathroom wasn't in any way less exciting and she drank in the way Alexander was sprawled out on his side of the bed, his hair slightly sweaty, the style having come undone. His skin was shiny with a thin later of sweat, the silk sheets covering him from the waist down, but she could make out the v-line, the tight muscles in his abdomen, his tattoos only accentuating the definition of his chest and and arms. His face was illuminated beautifully in the low light, his jaw sharp, nose prominent, his face scrunched up in concentration on the book in his lap, but the moment he heard her and looked up, he closed it, placing it on the bedside table, his lips curling into a smile.

"Mmmm, baby," Jade hummed as she approached and sat down next to him, rested her head against his shoulder to get comfortable by his side. "You are..." She took a deep breath. "You look so good." She adored the way he looked, as well as the way he'd made her feel all throughout the last few days, the tattoo, the gifts, the food, the luxury of his appreciation.

Alex tilted back his head to look at her, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, come on..." he huffed, waving it off, though drawn in by the depth of her voice, the scent that surrounded her.

Her eyes widened and she lifted her head from his shoulder to meet his gaze. She felt the warmth of his skin, leaning closer. "Alexander..."

He shook his head. "'s not-..."

"No," she said, shaking her head back at him, sitting up next to him. "Don't do that." She licked her lips, holding his gaze. "I want you to believe me." She knew as much as he thrived on his power, his ability to get whatever he wanted, as well as the way she responded to mere words and touches of his, he would discard her appreciation this way.

He looked away, diverting his gaze, though his eyes fell shut when she ran her fingers through his hair, making him sigh, the tension in his shoulders fading. "Jade..."

"Your hair looks so nice," she hummed. "I like it like this."

He opened his eyes again, rolled them slightly as if to brush off her comment.

"No, look at me," she pouted. "Let me see your pretty eyes."

He huffed out a shaky laugh. "Jade, are yeh joost sayin' this 'cause yeh want summat?" he drawled.

Her brows furrowed, she shook her head. "No, baby..." she said, shaking her head. "You're perfect..." She cupped the side of her his face, letting her fingertips stroke over his jaw. "So handsome." She leaned in to kiss him softly. "Those lips..."

He swallowed, his lips parted, desperate for more as she drew back to soon, he blinked back at her. "Pupa..."

She smiled, could feel the taste of whisky on his tongue. "No one more handsome than my husband," she hummed contentedly. "You think I'd settle for anything less?" She licked her lips. "Like a Roman sculpture..." she leaned in close to him, nudged his nose with hers, breathed him in, spice, smoke, sex.

"Oh, c'mon..." He pursed his lips, though leaned into the touch of her fingertips as she traced them down his arm.

"Come here, Alexander," she pouted, shifted, sighed happily as he wrapped his arm around her. "Makes me feel safe..." She intertwined her fingers with his, felt his wedding ring against her palm. "And I love your hands..."

"Yeh joost like wha' they do t'yeh..."

Jade giggled. "Mmm... yeah..." she said, pressing a kiss to the back of his hand. "But they're also nice to look at... and to hold..." She let her other hand wander down his body slowly, scratching over his firm thigh under the covers. "And these are nice..."

"Jade."

"What?" She pouted. "I can't get enough of you."

"D'yeh not forget summat?" he chuckled, recovering his wit, his sense of command. He raised an eyebrow.

She laughed, shaking her head. "Mmm, you don't need my reassurance about that..."

He nodded slowly. "Mmm, won't 'urt..."

She smiled, placing her hands on his shoulders, then shifting into lap. "Yeah?"

He held her gaze, his hands instantly on her hips. "Yeah."

She cupped his face into her hands, humming and kissing him deeply again, lingering this time, hungry, drawn in by his tight grip on her body, his own eagerness and need, breathless when she drew back. "Maybe when you take all the other things I said seriously."

He rolled his eyes. "Scusi? Are yeh makin' demands 'ere?"

"Make me regret it, handsome," she breathed.

"Mm." He nodded slowly, admired the smile on her face, the confidence, the perfection. "The way I'm in so deep wif yeh, doll..." he drawled. "I luv yeh more than anehfin'."

Sequence

“Augr.”  Alyssa says quietly under her breath, tousled hair clinging to her sweat soaked skin.

“Vilta.”  The thumb of her right hand caresses across the tip of the talon of the segmented onyx ring that covers the top of her right middle finger from base to tip of her nail.

“In’ier.”  Hazel eyed gaze flicks to the book stand sitting behind her.  The notebook open atop it.

Each rune in sequence inlaid in jade along the length of the Onyx ring, one on each segment of the talon ignites in a wash of sickly green.  The channeled fel bleeds through the whites of Alyssa’s eyes as it spikes outwards in jagged lines from her irises.  

Her right hand is thrust forward, palm splayed outward as she quickly calls off the sequence again.  “Augr Vilta In’ier,” pumping forth her own natural attachment to fel fire.

Alyssa’s eyes flutter open, and then wince closed again at the sharp pain throbbing through her head.  Ever so slowly, hazels open again, flicking skyward.  An hour at least must’ve passed.  The sun lower in the sky than it started for her latest test.

Vision slowly shifts towards the spot she’d aimed earlier.  The once tall proud tree cracked and splintered, collapsed to the side, flickers of green flame licking about it’s base and dead and dying branches.  Mostly, it’s gone out on it’s own.

The Warlock picks herself up slowly off the ground, pushing away from the opposing tree she seems to have crashed into, flung away from the strength of the blast.  A lifted eyebrow as she realizes a jagged pointed piece of wood sticks neatly out under her armpit, having narrowly avoided ending up impaled through the side, or the shoulder, or the arm.

“Think she might’ve been pissed if ‘er gift killed me like that.  Maybe just killed me ‘erself if I ‘urt m’self with it.”  She pats the jagged bit of branch before rising fully, and then putting boot against it to snap it off.  Best to clear other things she might hurt herself on in her tests.

A roll of shoulder, wincing at the pop, having struck it harder than she’d have liked.  “Maybe not what she ‘ad in mind when she said she knew I’d like t’figure it out m’self either.”  With a rolling limp, Alyssa crosses the barren ground of the blasted land in the South East corner of Redridge she’s adopted for testing.  She may not be good at minimizing damage to herself, but at least out here no one else will be in danger.

Teeth grit a moment as she shakes it off, smoothing down her beige tunic over dark pants, and checking along bare arms for any cuts or bruises.  None though, other than the ones she was given under entirely different circumstances recently.

A crouch to right the small book stand, and to collect the notebook blown back and over by the earlier blast, and she retrieves quill to note down her latest results.

“Right, two, three, one.”  The Warlock sucks in a deep breath.  After the last result, she should rest, go back to the inn, stop for the night.  She lifts right hand, clicking thumb nail over the point of the talon.

“Augr...”

This is all very much based on an AU version of Jade I’ve already writting, her name is Tohmu there as she’s still in her Tribe

She was watching the Raen walking towards her position from in the trees, The Raen had no idea, or if she did have an idea she was good at hiding it, this didn’t matter much Tohmu smirked motioning for the rest of her hunters to get into position above and behind the Raen, then Tohmu dropped from the tree landing just a few yalms away.

“Well, Ain’t you a pretty picture, Don’t want to ‘ave to ‘urt you, drop the axe, drop anythin’ else you think is valuable, then we can let you go.” she give a toothy grin from behind her matted hair, she had leaves from locals trees weaved into her harness, an elegant stave on her back, contrasting with the rest of her appearance.
