Janet Collins in costumes of her own design for "Romanza" and "Rondo" from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, dances choreographed by Collins to the music of Mozart and first performed at a solo concert at Las Palmas Theater, Los Angeles, November 3, 1947.
"The pianist played the first movement—Allegro—I danced the Romanza—the pianist played the Minuet movement—and I danced the final movement—Rondo. Romanza was feminine and Rondo masculine."

If anyone’s curious, I always headcanoned Lennon’s VA to be Janet Klein (AKA Miss Langtree from Over the Garden Wall)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Janet Klein also makes music under Janet Klein and Her Parlor Boys! So I’ve always considered her cover of “I Love My Baby” to be something Lennon would absolutely sing about her and Clyde

Men of Mystery
Photo above circa 1930 via mensfashionmagazine.com. Lois Long took a break from reviewing the latest fashions to offer some thoughts on the relations between men and women, and more specifically, what was expected of women if they ever hoped to land the type of man who represented a “potential Future” for them. August 4, 1934 cover by Otmar. Likely Otmar Gaul, sometimes spelled “Ottmar.” Based on…

If you had told me the Marvel Swimsuit Special was returning in the year of our lord 2025, I'd have thought you were insane.
BUT HERE WE ARE!
source here
Little snippet below:
Tumblr media
We're getting the full pin-ups, silly faux magazine articles, and apparently designs for new costumes coming to Marvel Rivals.
The overarching story is that Roxxon is doing their own unauthorized swimsuit special thing, so superheroes of the Marvel universe host their own, with fashion by none other than Janet Van Dyne, a.k.a. the Wasp!
The main story will be written by Tim Seeley and Tony Fleecs
Art by Nick Bradshaw, Nic Klein, Marguerite Sauvage, Luciano Vecchio & more.
Wraparound cover by Adam Hughes
Wraparound variant by Mark Brooks
Variants by Taurin Clarke, Russell Dauterman, and virgin variant also by Russell Dauterman
(Now, who do I have to bribe to get fun Auraki Beach day pinups?)

Nearly three decades since the last #Marvel swimsuit comic, Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1 is bringing sun, sand, and superheroes back to the beach this July.
Writers #TimSeeley and #TonyFleecs, joined by artist #NickBradshaw, are crafting a playful, fashion-forward one-shot featuring Janet van Dyne—the Wasp—as she curates a global swimwear shoot with Marvel's heroes and villains. Paying tribute to the cheeky 1991 original, the special combines nostalgic pin-ups and tongue-in-cheek storytelling with new swimsuit designs from top-tier artists like Luciano Vecchio, Marguerite Sauvage, and Nic Klein.
The comic also ties into the hit PvP shooter #MarvelRivals, previewing new in-game seasonal outfits. With variant covers by artists including #MarkBrooks and Russell Dauterman, the July 9 release promises to make a splash in comic shops everywhere.
