So let me just break this down.

According to no source whatsoever, the horrible thing this casino employee did to anger Jared was disapprove of fans coming up to him.

If all that was happening was fans coming up to Jared, I would be very surprised if that was a problem for anyone. It sure sounds like there’s some missing context here. Not that it matters, because what Jared did is wrong even if what the employee did was also wrong. There’s a saying about two wrongs.

And if all the employee did was passively disapprove, Jared’s reaction makes even less sense.

Jared used social media accounts to alert the casino to the issue with the company’s employee (which is how people USE THE COMPANY ACCOUNTS - to alert the COMPANY that there is an issue, good or bad).

No, Jared cornered this guy, took a picture of him, and posted it on twitter to millions of people, many of whom (as precedent indicates) are more than willing to savage anyone who upsets him.

That is not “how people use [corporate social media] accounts”—or it shouldn’t be. Photographing an individual employee (who is likely not acting autonomously but enforcing the company’s policies) and publicly calling him an asshole is neither necessary to resolve whatever issue you’re having, nor an effective way to do that.

I’m not sorry at all that I don’t see the problem with Jared refusing to return to a casino - and letting them know it - because he wants to be approachable to his fans.

Literally no one cares whether Jared returns to the casino or not; that’s not remotely the problem.

That’s NOT a problem you or I could possibly have, so those people saying he shouldn’t say anything because “he’s famous” are completely misunderstanding the situation.

Again, whether we can relate to the struggles of the famous isn’t why Jared being a celebrity matters here. It matters because, as a celebrity, he has more power in the situation than some random casino employee who is not a public figure. This guy doesn’t have millions of twitter followers to stick up for him.

When you have a platform, when you have power, you have a responsibility not to abuse it to the detriment of others.

And by the way, as someone who worked in service, just because Jared is “famous” doesn’t mean he can just find some magical “back channel” to complain about his treatment by a person who was apparently a senior employee - who do you complain to when the MANAGER is the issue?

There’s no need for “some magical back channel”—there is always someone to complain to or, if the person you have the issue with is the highest-ranking employee on site (and we have no source on whether this guy was or not), you can contact the corporate office. Everyone answers to someone. At the very least there will be a phone number for complaints. Or, if you absolutely must resolve it via twitter, you can do that without posting a picture of a specific employee and calling him an asshole to millions of people.

I love Jared, but sadly he has a history of publicly shaming service industry employees when he’s upset about something, and that is an abuse of his platform. The last time he did this, he said “I sincerely hope everybody involved will be better for it.” But he didn’t get better about this; he did the exact same thing again.

Shitty behavior is shitty behavior even when it’s your faves behaving that way. Trying to justify it (especially by strawmanning the fuck out of the actual issue and calling anyone who disagrees “haters”) doesn’t help Jared or anyone else. It just communicates, both to him and others, that they don’t have to be decent human beings when they don’t want to be.
