i raise you it becoming a tradition and whenever jee is feeling sad chim cheers her up by gently poking her in the side and suggesting they get some juice pouches (or ice cream or other favorite snack) and they can put their feet up on the table cause mommy’s working she doesn’t have to know about it. and it starts when she’s tiny but even when she’s coming home from college and when she’s even older than that, that’s always their thing and how he cheers her up.

That’s beautiful! Yes!!!!! His relationship with jee is something he will always learn to grow no matter what age she is but this is their tradition now!

Can you imagine jee having a grouchy or just bad day at school and chim is very serious about it and teaches her about unwinding after school in front of the tv with their lil beverage (or whatever they have in the fridge)

(Also, Maddie totally knows. They always forget to wipe the table😂)

When Jee turns five, she takes an interest in birds. Chim doesn’t know what sparked this, but soon, they have tons of books about birds, and Jee always asks them to read the books with her. 

“Appa, it’s you and mama,” Jee says one night, pointing to the pictures of the Puffin in her books.

“Oh yeah, why’s that?” Chim asks, sharing a smile with Maddie.

“They’re together for life! Just like you and mama, right?”

Chim couldn’t help his grin as he reached for Maddie’s hand, their wedding bands clinking.

“Yeah, Jee. Forever. Just like me, mama, and you.”

9 things before I start to write my review:

1. Uncle Buck is the sweetest, most precious and most amusing thing! I've always loved Buck but this made me love him even more.

2. Toddler Jee-Yun is so cute! And funny! And definitely Chimney's daughter lol 😂 I want more of her!! 🤗❤️😍

3. Carla always shows up when Eddie needs a piece of advice that gets him closer to Buck. And when he and Buck are not communicating. It happened in 4x13 and in 5x10. So many subtle things hidden in their conversations that are supposedly around Christopher, but really, Christopher might be the only one doing the growing in that house lately lol.

4. CHRISTOPHER! He got so big and looked so handsome and so happy with his friends, I just love to watch him grow up. 🥺❤️

5. Athena and Hen S1 like scenes, I always loved their friendship, and I'm glad we're getting more of it this season.

6. Bobby is having S1 Buckley nightmares lmao I'm thinking that's why he reacted so harshly towards that couple. 😂 I thought for sure Buck would say that he had sex inside the firetruck, never on top of it while moving - it seems he had more sense than that, lmao.

7. Buddie crumbs were delicious, thank you! Now I want a whole meal. 😉 I mean the obvious callback to 3x18 - isn't he too young question from Buck lol and that perfect synchronization of the boys figuring out that there's someone on top of the engine and climbing together to see who. Loved it!

I just wish we had Eddie heading over to Buck’s after dropping Christopher off at the dance.

8. I love May's storyline! She is badass and awesome, and I love how she's slowly finding her way through life. Her relationship with Athena is maturing too and I love watching it.

9. Buck, Hen and Denny!! Loved that scene! The reference to Oliver's previous role with the swords. And that he wants to be the kind of uncle that spoils his niece and teaches her that she can be a hero too even if Maddie will kill him for it lol.

Hen and him fake fighting with the swords. It looked more like Aisha and Oliver having fun, and I love it!❤️

i love seeing people try to figure out how old Tommy is supposed to be when we know full well that 911 does not give a singular fuck about timeline continuity. we don't even know what year it is, currently, on the show.

Jee-Yun is 2 or 3? I get that Madney having a house is new in terms of taxes but I feel like this episode can't be the first tax season that they've had a daughter so them both filing separately but both claiming her as a dependent should have been flagged as tax fraud before? I know it's a tv show. But still. I think this is why people get legally married in the US even if they don't care about marriage. Tax benefits.

Also how did they not know that you save money filing taxes when you're married? Do lots of people not know that?

This is probably an inconsistency that I should ignore because it's a tv show. But still. I don't think this would be their first year filing taxes and having a daughter. Unless they've communicated better in the past and only one of them claimed Jee-Yun as a dependent.
