It would be my pleasure! I love these questions. Brotherbanders, please feel free to chime in, especially taking credit where credit is due because I may or may not have forgotten who coined which name:

Hal Wavechaser ( @mostlyonthefloor), who found a ship by 'following the waves in its wake'

Stig Ironskin, who's seemingly impervious to strikes and who finally managed to get his temper under control

Ingvar Starbreaker, who broke a sword forged from a fallen star

Edvin Hopebringer, who- well, I'm not exactly sure; legends abound with this one

Jesper Stormrunner ( @twofoursixohjuan this one is yours), who ran through a cornfield- oops, I mean a storm- to deliver a warning

Stefan Hafsærling (this one is mine [ @reine-du-sourire] ), who Sang five enemy ships into smashing themselves against the rocks

Brotherband AU where they're...in the army? (for the ask game)

(I know nothing about the navy or the army. rip)

1. War breaks out between Araluen and Skandia again. Young men and women are drafted and recruited. Ingvar applies to do his duty as expected of him by everyone but his eyesight is atrocious enough that even the military doctors can't stretch the requirements to let him in. Ingvar is too big to fit in a sub or plane even if his eyesight was fine so there's really no chance for Ingvar.

2. His tenacity and the army's unwillingness to let this giant, talented, near legally blind man go lead to Ingvar getting recruited by the intelligence agency to spy on Skandian soldiers. Ingvar just has to pretend to be really sad about not being legally cleared to be a soldier and bum around mess halls.

3. There's a navy engineer who's a genius and helped develop top secret naval designs, but Hal Mikkekson is half-Araluen and the intelligence agency is a little concerned about this in a time of war against Araluen. Can't have naval secrets being told to Araluen. This coupled with the fact that Mikkelson's best friend is the son of a very famous deserter and traitor is pretty suspicious. Ingvar is assigned to be the line cook's assistant on the same ship so he can befriend and spy on Mikkelson

4. Ingvar peels a metric ton of potatoes and carrots, leading him to never eat potatoes ever again despite the variety of ways Edvin can prepare potatoes.

5. Turns out Hal isn't a traitor to Skandia, but Lydia the naval secretary who takes really good notes has been leaking information to a rebel group based out of Limmat. There's a climatic showdown in the kitchen (Lydia's got a harpoon, Ingvar has a spy laser gun or something, Edvin's got his fancy potato peeler) and then the lights go off. They're being boarded by an unknown entity!

They were sitting on the edge of an empty wooden dock leading to a ship that sailed months ago, Jesper dipping his feet into the cool water beneath and Stefan sitting next to him, smugly braiding and un-braiding Jesper’s hair in intricate patterns.

Stefan considered the question, hands stilled while he thought. “Yeah. You’re easy to love.” he responded, like it was the most natural thing to love Jesper, when the experience was so new, so novel, to the man himself.

Jesper grinned, and it was a messy thing, but joyous anyway; “would you build me something to stay in?”

“No. I’d throw you overboard and tell Hal to sail away faster.”

The Vampire Diaries | Shadow and Bone

On the right, there’s a scene from Shadow and Bone. Kaz looks at Inej expectant and almost fearful when they reunite in the season 2 finale, as she walks up to him with a hopeful expression. Jesper rushes past Kaz to hug Inej, pulling her up and twirling her while they laugh. Kaz averts his eyes, dejected, while Inej, with her feet back on the ground, grabs Jesper’s face, grinning up at him.]

Bad news: Hal locked himself out of his house.

Good news: We didn't have to wait for a locksmith to open it.

Bad news: Hal finds it concerning that I know how to pick locks and is trying to unlock my tragic backstory™. I was too embarrassed to tell him that I learned when I was a teenager because I thought it would impress cute boys.

Good news: A cute boy saw me do it.

Bad news: It was Stefan, and he's already seen me fall out of a window several times, cry while watching the Titanic for the fifth time, and knows I sing Beyonce in the shower, he'll never think I'm cool. It's too late for that.
