Thinking about my two favorite scenes in the trilogy and what that says about me

i never had a problem with (and even kinda liked) aos until i started trying to read fanfic and every "tos" fic is secretly about chris pine and my brain has to reboot without warning

I'm very fond of Strange, but it does bug me how he's such a golden boy within the world of the show - never faces ramifications for joining the masons, no repercussions for engaging in police brutality, often perceived as the hero of a case, no serious mess-ups that cause blowback from Thursday, receives direct praise from Thursday (including what a great guy he is compared to Morse), Joan is always happy to give him information and never gets frustrated with him, etc.

Morse is the only person who seems aware of his less admirable qualities, and I can't say I blame him for holding a grudge against him. And even in his case, he doesn't push back much for the number of times Strange pulls rank or tries to act morally superior. Everything just fell into his lap.

truly a travesty that the office is widely considered the pinnacle of american sitcoms and not parks and rec which is objectively a million times funnier, just as quotable, and has much more memorable and likeable characters
