courier jobs

had my interview yesterday and I’d say it went really well. the assistant manager interviewing me didn’t know if the store manager had interviewed any more candidates, so I may be the only one showing interest right now. who knows, maybe I’ll be working at the “corner of happy and healthy” soon (if you have no idea what I’m talking about, it’s Walgreens).

I won’t know anything concrete for a few days, so that means I’ll still be driving around town doing my courier job. my desire to do this job lowers and lowers as each week passes (can anyone relate). I love driving when I’m going somewhere important, running errands, or going on a road trip, but driving around to deliver shit is not the most satisfying job. so if you’re thinking about being a courier,

it’s not a horrible job, but if you have to drive your own vehicle, then find something else. some of the few pros include - listening to your own music, being in your own car, and not having to be gone all day long. some of the many cons include - GAS COSTS, stressful driving environments, always moving, bound by time, stupid drivers exist, freeways/highways become your new best friend, risk of an accident goes up, and the state of your car goes down. just a little tidbit for ya ☺︎

anyway, I have to make up my bed and then reluctantly get ready for my order of the day.

Job that Sucks = Marriage that Fails

Getting a job is like getting married. When you grew into the right age, you were expected to get (job) married. So you made an attractive profile on a Job portal (Matrimonial), with the help of a few referrals and a successful interview process, you landed the opportunity. (Now you know the analogy) Doesn’t this job now feel like a failing marriage? At the beginning you thought you were getting into something so good and so nice. The honeymoon period went in doing things that had pleasure but didn’t show anything of what real married life would be like. You met new people, new rules, in-laws talking about you, it was exciting. Slowly the fun was replaced with responsibilities and things got fucked up. Now you eye other people’s spouses(jobs) and feel jealous or have secret desire to try something outside of your marriage. But you stay in this relationship because you fear being single(jobless). You hear about other people’s divorces and next marriages and try to see yourself in their shoes. When the next review is announced it feels like the next sex session that you don’t want to have because it’s nauseating but you are legally bound to do it anyways. Performers seem like those women in the family who keep getting pregnant just to please the in-laws. You are always given their example. Now all that you ask for is some peace, pleasant words and some time to meet your friends which your boss (spouse) doesn’t understand and instead gives you scolding, disrespect and threat pending till the next review. If you relate to this, then I must tell you.. My love, your life is limited and hence is precious. Get out of this toxic relationship. Get into a live-in with a co-founder and build a family(startup) that you dream together. The society will judge you, they will call you names perhaps because they secretly envy your courage. It’s time, you get some passion in that action between the sheets. -CSM

Hello Everyone! Damn a long week not posting much because i am personally struggling with my feelings and thoughts. Just i have no idea how to deal with shitty people around me though.
