I love the phrasing of "she can escape from her crib", like Dire Wolf has been trapped in an inhumane prison and has finally managed to dig out so she can wobble away on chubby toddler legs to mingle with all the wild animals near the house.

Does the Silmarillion exist in the Sons of the Star reality? Has any of the brothers read it?

Ummm... if it exists, then Cary would be the only one who might have read it. I think it probably does exist because I mention Misty liking Lord of the Rings later on. Six out of the seven brothers are not great readers, and Cary is but tends to prefer non-fiction.

The most likely person to have read it - and who would also fully appreciate the irony, if in a slightly painful way - would be Nell.

When it was actually airing and I was part of the primary target audience of “child” I didn’t care at all about Kabuto but the rider I DID go nuts for was its predecessor Hibiki which directly led to me becoming a band kid
