who could have ever possibly guessed that when I actually wear the wrist braces I'm supposed to wear while I sleep, my wrists don't hurt the next day

Okay please someone help me figure out splints and braces I have no idea what I’m doing lmao.
My PIP and DIP joints of all my fingers hyperextend. It doesn’t look too bad but it is painful. Especially when I press on them or grab things.
The MP joint on both my thumbs partially dislocates every single day. Whenever I grab things, draw, write, etc. it doesn’t hurt with the motion but it gets painful throughout the day.
My knees hyperextend when I stand and walk. These cause me the most pain and problems. My knees are always aching hurting or burning from the hyperextending but it’s just how I walk I think.
My ankles are super unsteady and can turn inwards 90 degrees voluntarily which means I roll my ankles all the time because there’s nothing stopping them from moving that way. They’re like totally lax there.
My elbows when resting out are hyperextended. This makes it really painful when I grab things or move them around.
My other joints are horrible as well but they’re not unbearable like these. So I’m prioritizing fixing the above joints.
If anyone has any way of helping id really appreciate it. Any tips on what kind of braces or splints work best for this kinda stuff. Where to get them. What brands are best, etc.
And please reblog so I can get more help

Bruh as a full time brace user it's frustrating to have people keep asking me what's wrong, how I was injured, why I'm wearing them all the time, etc. As if it's their business. I'm an ambulatory cane user, and a prospective crutch user. It's frustrating that people treat braces that I need to walk properly as anything gddamn different.
It's frustrating any good, supportive braces I get don't come in pairs so I pay extra. Any comfortable ones look extremely medical (I love medical horror, I'm a cybergoth through and through, but sometimes I want to feel normal if I'm just going out to the library or grocery store, yk), any good looking ones don't work.
Then you pay extra for clothing and shoes that fit over your braces, and even then they don't look good unless you buy just any other clothing multiple sizes too big, then it's also more expensive because haha fatphobia go BRRRR.
I'm so, so tired of every time my braces or athletic tape is visible, some fcking idiot comes up and asks what happened. I'm tired of people telling me their dog's cousin's aunt's brother's coworker's husband had it and he was fine.
I'm tired of it being insinuated I am stealing resources because I want to live my life. If you see me limping don't mock me. If you see me fixing my braces, don't question it.

finding a simple to understand guideline about physical injuries you've never experienced is wonderful. This sprained ankle is the first one I've ever had, and I'm 23 years old as of a few weeks ago. I've definitely twisted my ankle a handful of times but never sprained it. It's also nice to find a guideline that doesn't condescend, since I had a feeling it would be like "why don't you know this already? clown" or whatever
I've got a pretty physical job - I work at Wal-Mart - so I'm on my feet pretty regularly. This lets me know I should take tomorrow off as well and basically take a three day weekend to ice my ankle and let it rest. I'll also be calling my HR manager to discuss returning to work and potentially getting a boot to easy the pressure when I do come back on Sunday.
That is to say, unless my ankle is able to take my weight again and my limp isn't so bad that it'll take me twice as long to get to the bus stop. I'll have a few hours before I would even need to catch my bus to discern this, so there's a little less stress there. Plus, all of my work stuff is already prepared from Thursday, so I won't need to worry about that.
Back to the guide itself, the website has a large selection of information for essential wellness, including but not limited to: how long certain injuries take to heal, what the best brace is for certain strains or sprains, the benefits of canes and massage guns (separate but similar page titles), and a wide selection of exercises that can be done seated, while injured, and more. it's very clearly written, reads in a calm and understanding tone, and has bold title headers (in most cases. One of the pages I opened had some very thin, poor-contrast headers that I barely noticed, and my eyesight isn't that bad with my glasses on.) I highly recommend this website for those of you with physical health questions pertaining to joints and minor injuries like sprains.
if anyone else has guides like this from other websites for other injuries, please share in the comments and reblogs! also, if you have deeper information on this website that can prove it would be better replaced with something different, absolutely share that!

Struggles of a disabled queer with chronic joint pain…
I just limp-wristed (as one does) and was hit with instant regret because I didn’t wear my wrist splint most of today (spent 6h baking)
And tomorrow I’ll be attending a social event where I’ll most definitely have to wear my knee brace and very likely use my cane;
I don’t mind having gone grocery shopping and to IKEA yesterday but since I walked a lot of stairs today also I anticipate it to take its toll, as will the weather

Does Hob has chronic pain is this AU? Since he has an injury in his knee in canon I guess (or it is a hc?)
I think hob having a knee injury is a head canon?? I have only watched the Netflix series so don't quote me. Regardless, Hob w chronic pain is definitely a favorite of mine. I love reading it in fic.
my answer is: possibly LOL, I'm still writing this au 👍
If Hob does have a knee injury then I suspect he hung from his good leg in this comic. RIP
Perhaps Hob has a bad day or lands on his leg poorly and Dream is startled by the fact that he doesn't LIKE seeing his human in pain. And when did Hob become HIS human? It's great to imagine Dream trying to take care of Hob for once :3
Or maybe Hob's knee flares up with prolonged activity, (like me :D) and while walking/ jogging/running around the barn was manageable, the second they start traveling long distances Hob is gonna have a problem.
Maybe Dream will have to let Hob ride on his back :3
It could also be a great way to have the convo about human leg injuries and how they differ from centaurs.
if I ever decide to do a comic abt it, I'll most likely confer with someone more experienced than me XD

does anyone else with bad joints forget they're disabled? like you'll be sitting criss cross and doing something for a long time then you unthinkingly stretch your legs out to stand and your knees HURT. then you try to stand and your legs almost give out. and you have to lean against something while you wait for the dizziness to go down? or is it just me

Apparently I don’t know how to walk correctly. Filmed myself walking and realized… that may be the reason I have so much knee pain.
I probably need physical therapy to fix this but my doctor is very uncooperative and I don’t have a lot of money. Im probably gonna have to teach myself how to walk straight or I’ll have to get braces to help reduce the pain and subluxations.
Does anyone have any help or suggestions for what I can do? I’d appreciate any tips or anything. And any reblogs for signal boosts. My knees have been horrible and my doctors and current situation with healthcare isn’t very helpful to me at the moment.
