Type of an Offence That Is Causing the Police Increasing Trouble. ---- Arthur Flett was fined $50 and costs or six months in the Ontario Reformatory on the unique charge of having taken Mr. George Wilkie's motor car out of the Consolidated Motor Car Company's garage, with intent to operate the machine, without having the owner's permission.

Flett was astounded at the sentence. His wife was able to pay.

William T. and J. J. Hubbard, were charged in the Police Court to-day with being disorderly in Stormont's Hotel. The two Hubbard's pleaded not guilty and were remanded till Monday.

Ninety days in jail was the sentence given to Roy Smith, for stealing two bicycles from Stanley Harper. Harper said it was the same bicycle stolen twice.

Magistrate Leet, of Montreal, who is visiting Toronto. sat on the Police Court bench with Magistrate Kingsford this morning.

He is charged with stealing no less than three cars, including the one belonging to Dr. Henderson of Bloor street, in which he was riding The others belong respectively to Mr. W. Brodie of St. George street, and Mr. George Brown.
