Technically a Sangheili darling would be easier, but I'd be interested on how a Human darling could work out too (probably would lean towards being AU territory due to the circumstances surrounding Raia's canon death). - Scale Anon

Sure! I'll explore this idea, this primarily focuses on Jul though. Looked at some lore so I hope this is accurate!

Yandere! Jul + Raia 'Mdama Concept

Pairing: Romantic/Platonic - Sharing

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Brief mate/Mating mention, Sangheili/Sangheili/Sangheili and Sangheili/Human/Sangheili pairing, Manipulation, Abuse of power, Degrading behavior, Isolation, Death, Violence, Forced relationship.

While I agree a Sangheili darling would be easier, a human darling is an interesting thought.

Jul sees humans similar to The Flood, Raia's views on humans are unknown from what I've seen but we can assume she held a neutral view or held similar views to Jul.

As a Sangheili you most likely are loyal to the 'Mdama family one way or another.

This would allow you to be close to both Sangheili.

Perhaps you are simply viewed as a fellow brother/sister to them, a platonic relationship.

Or if they have romantic intentions... then a potential third partner for mating with.

When it comes to a human you'd most likely be seen as lower than them, a human pet.

Jul would be cruel at times due to you being human while Raia would be more caring.

Honestly if you were human but Raia was comfortable around you... Jul relents before growing reluctantly attached.

If you were a Sangheili loyal to them they'd often meet with you and speak with you.

Jul is the more manipulative one of the two but they both hide their intentions.

They both either consider you one of their family...

Or are preparing how to spring the idea of making you their shared mate.

Jul and Raia would be possessive of you regardless of the intention.

Raia often asks for you to stay by the home she and her mate reside in.

Meanwhile Jul makes it a goal to hunt down other Sangheili or even humans who he feels will take you away from the two of them.

You being human is... similar.

However you aren't really seen as a mate entirely.

You're seen as a companion and pet.

Jul gains a sick sense of pride when he shows control over you.

He dislikes your race... but doesn't really mind you.

Probably because he has total control.

Raia is calmer and a bit more caring to your needs.

Sure, the idea of making friends with humans is an odd idea of Thel, yet she can see the appeal when it comes to you.

When Jul gets a bit too rough with you... Raia tells him to calm down and reel things in.

They're meant to share, aren't they?

As a human you never leave their home.

Their children, if you ever meet them, find it weird that a human lives amongst them.

But if their mother is attached... they'll tolerate things.

Raia is certainly the voice of reason in the family.

Soon, through his wife, Jul puts aside his hatred of humans as a whole to keep you.

In his eyes you're "contained and unable to spread" as you're not around any other humans.

They keep you isolated for a reason.

Things would go down hill when Jul is abducted by ONI and Raia dies.

At first it's just you and Raia.

She appears distraught at the disappearance of her husband.

As a Sangheili you could try to comfort and reassure her, to which she respects this.

She may even think about clinging to you but keeps her composure.

If you're human she calls you over so she can distract herself.

She'd rant her concerns, all while dragging a claw across your soft skin.

You really do bring her comfort.

You're left alone when Raia tells you she has to leave to find Jul.

Well... not entirely alone, another member of the 'Mdama family will look after you if you're human.

If you're Sangheili you're free to roam.

Right up until Jul comes back... devastated at the death of his wife and mate.

If you're Sangheili then Jul calls for you, delivering the news.

You can see the rage in his eyes.

If you're human he calls for you to be brought to him.

At first he resents you... but his wife loved you-

He cares about you as much as he hates to admit it.

So he's going to continue keeping you all to himself.

After Raia's passing the relationship turns solely focused on Jul.

Jul feels he is going to continue this "relationship" between you going in honor of his wife.

If you're Sangheili he tries to indoctrinate/force you into joining his rebellion.

He won't hesitate to use force either.

If you're human he's dragging you with him to his rebellion.

You'll get to see what your race deserves for what they've done.

He won't hurt you, Raia would hate that.

But he will manipulate you to follow his every word...

He plans to honor what he feels is Raia's last wish and keep you in the family... one way or another.

Trying to figure out Pacific Tech semester schedule

Okay so, we know that Pac Tech is largely based on Cal Tech, which uses a three semester schedule and the movie takes place between winter break(Mid-December to early January) and June 27th when they test the laser and Hathaway loses his house to popcorn

Now, I found the academic calendar for Cal Tech's 2005-6 (1984 started on a Sunday, so did 2006) and it's roughly layed out like First Term Sept 19-23 New Student Orientation Sept 26 Beginning of instruction Dec 7-9 Final examinations, first term Dec 9 End of first term Dec 10-Jan 3 Winter recess Second Term January 4 Beginning of instruction March 15-17 Final examinations, second term March 18 End of second term March 19-26 Spring recess Third Term March 27 Beginning of instruction June 7-9 Final examinations for undergraduates, third term June 10 End of third term Summer Term June 12 Summer term begins September 1 Summer term ends

Now we only see the students taking one final and no midterm which I always found weird, so that means that Pac Tech is probably following a two semester schedule. Also, we know from the script that Chris and Mitch have their breakthrough on the last day of finals and that the test of the laser occurs on the 27th of June and isn't long after the breakthrough.

So, Spring semester in Pac Tech is probably from Jan 4 - Jun 28th, which lasts for 26 weeks or 18 days over Cal Tech, jegus crust I'm guessing that their Fall semester is about 23 weeks long, Cal Tech is 13 weeks, would be from Jul 12 - Dec 20

Which means that a Cal Tech student is in school for 36 weeks and a Pac Tech student is in school for 49 weeks, over a four-year span means an extra 52 weeks, which explains how they shoved a five-year undergrad + masters program into a four-year college. Bc there is no way that Hathaway's team is a bunch of undergrads at the level of research they're doing

I feel terrible using @n@ tags when I went over my bmr so much on Saturday. Even Sunday wasn't good, I hope I can show everyone that I can actually stārve with my next føod løgs.

Saché, born Sashah Adova, was the youngest of Queen Amidala’s handmaidens, recruited at only 12 years old. Her official role was that of page, where she could observe the happenings of the palace. Saché was often overlooked, and even as she became an adult she was often quiet and bottled up her feelings. When Padmé and her handmaidens escaped Naboo, Saché and Yané were left behind. They were put into internment camps with the rest of Naboo’s government. This forced confinement caused Saché and Yané to realize that their awkward feelings were mutual attraction. Caught transporting messages amongst the Naboo Royal Guard, she was tortured by the Trade Federation, giving her scars she would carry for the rest of her life.

After Pamdé’s term as queen, she joined Naboo’s legislative assembly. She also married Yané, and they lived in a large house with the children Yané would foster. When Sio Bibble retired as governor at the end of the Clone Wars, Saché was expected to succeed her. However, the new Emperor Palpatine appointed Quash Penaka as Moff, replacing most of the existing Naboo government. Unlike her wife, Saché joined the Amidalans, a group of Naboo led by Sabé who sought to avenge Padmé’s death. With the rest of the handmaidens, she held her own for a time in combat against Darth Vader. Despite the decimation of the group, Saché managed to survive, and when Sabé became an operative for Vader (long story), she joined her handmaidens once more to save Sabé. When Sabé was captured by Jul Tambor, the handmaidens allied themselves with Vader. When Vader and Sly Moore tried to turn them to the side of the Empire, they were unmoved. They managed to free Sabé, but she refused to leave with them and returned to Vader’s side. Crushed, Saché returned to her wife and tried to continue to live.

Ashe Javi was born on the industrial planet of Riosa. They started making music using samples from factory sounds, and was noticed by Max Rebo’s agent. To their surprise, they went straight to preforming in clubs on Coruscant, where they quickly gained in popularity. However, they came to hate the artificiality of Coruscant and eventually left it for Kuat. On Kuat, they met DD-EC who was making his own recordings in the shipyards. After some time together, they decided they want to start sampling natural sounds and departed for the planet Koboh. While in the wilderness, they were attacked by a Gorocco and were saved by Cal Kestis. Cal recruited them for Pyloon’s Saloon, where the duo set up shop by the disused DJ equipment. They preferred life on Koboh, for its working class audience and the sound samples they had access to.

I lost 3 lbs this week! Which I'm happy about! Weirdly sad I didn't lose 4lbs but it will be okay! Lets me know losing 3lbs a week is viable! Absolutely was ravenous when Sat came though, so I will have to watch cravings. Been walking a lot whichI think REALLY helped & honestly I look foward to it now!

The Vice President Who Wrote a Hit Song! Charles Gates Dawes Wound Up Leaving An Unexpected Mark On Music History.

History buffs might know the name Charles Gates Dawes, which probably sounds vaguely familiar but Can’t-Quite-Place-Him to the rest of us. Here’s a refresher: he was Calvin Coolidge’s vice president. They hated each other.

Long before he was Coolidge’s Second-in-command, however, Dawes was a pianist and composer. In fact, he was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a fraternity for men with an interest in music.

Though Dawes obviously didn’t adopt music as a profession (unless he entertained Silent Cal by tickling the ivories in the Oval Office), he definitely made his mark on music in America. In 1912, besieged by a bit of music he couldn’t get out of his head, Dawes wrote a piano and violin piece called “Melody in A Major.” It became pretty popular, which Dawes, by then a banker, found amusing: “Few bankers have won renown as composers of music. I know that I will be the target of my punster friends. They will say that if all the notes in my bank are as bad as my musical ones, they are not worth the paper they were written on.”

After an unsuccessful bid for the Senate in 1901, Dawes declared himself done with politics. But politics had other plans for him. In 1921, Dawes was appointed the first-ever Director of the Bureau of the Budget under Warren G. Harding. And in 1924, after going through at least three other possible vice president candidates (two declined the nomination and the third, Herbert Hoover, was too unpopular), Coolidge agreed to have Dawes as his running mate.

In the end, Dawes would have been quite glad if his bank notes had been as valuable as his musical ones. The song suddenly became a pop hit after songwriter Carl Sigman added some words to the tune in 1951 and renamed it “It’s All in the Game.” Tommy Edwards took the song to #38 on the Billboard charts that year, but it peaked at No. 1 seven years later when Edwards recorded it again in a rock ‘n’ roll style. Since then, the song has been covered by Elton John, Barry Manilow, Mama Cass, Nat King Cole, Van Morrison and many others.

To date, Dawes is the only Vice President to have a song chart at #1, though he missed the whole thing. Dawes died in April 1951, mere months before Sigman added lyrics to his tune.
