really weird thing ive noticed lately re: hermits getting critiqued for stuff theyve said or done is that as soon as someone holds a shit opinion (even if it's just them being stupid, or a centrist, or saying a bad word without knowing what it means, or whatever) people immediately seem to flock to the 'this guy should die' 'kys' 'why are we giving this person a platform' rhetoric and like. that's not how meaningful change is made?

like, yeah, if one of my beloved CCs posted a tweet or video tomorrow about how much they hate gay people, or believe in conservative ideals, or they just said a bunch of slurs or whatever (these are hyperbolic examples obviously) then yeah, fuck them, they should go rot. but like, having some dumb takes, or saying bad things in the past, doesn't = evil terrible person...

idk, i feel like we can critique content creators without getting so insane about it. like, shit, there are things some of my favourites do that i don't like, but theyre not even really worth bringing up tbh. unless its something actually important, i feel like it just creates more drama out of nothing and all these assholes come crawling out of the woodwork to tell everyone how much they hate that creator. or find their content boring anyway so clearly they have no real merit to anyone.

Until Zuko and the waterbender showed up, with their flying bison. And that's where her rage broke out, her girls-no... Mai and Ty Lee left her for stupid Zuko, always him, always him, why? Why do they always have to choose Zuko over her? HAS NO SENSE! WHAT DOES HE HAVE THAT SHE DOESN'T HAVE?

And so he accepted the Agni Kai with his damn brother, he wanted to show that he didn't need anyone but his power.

Everything was almost the same as in the series, until Zuko scoffed, and she prepared to launch a lightning bolt... but stopped when she had a coughing fit, the lightning bolt falls to the ground at Zuko's feet, making him goes flying, and Azula faints.

Katara, in shock, didn't know what to do, help Zuko who had burns on his feet? Or the girl who fainted after spitting up blood? Obviously it was because of Azula, she was mean, but she was her age, how could she refuse to help someone in need? Besides, Zuko was fine, he was still breathing and looking at the sky, he would be fine, he was a firebender, he could take burns.

Pitch for another Mentopolis season

So, we know that Elias Hodge lives in the neo-futurist 1920s, but what if the setting/genre of the mind depends on whose mind it is and when? In other words, the core concepts stay the same, but their personalities and interactions with the setting depend on the individual's broader sense of reality.

I'm imagining a season set in the mind of a lower or middle class housewife in the early 1960s who's been carefully repressing things like her impulsivity and ambition in favor of her "feminine" attributes (humility, status consciousness, Fawn impulse) and is starting to reconsider her life after her kids leave home. Maybe one of them goes to college and starts protesting the war. Maybe she strikes up an overly-close "friendship" with another woman and starts rethinking her relationship to the nuclear family. Maybe she hears about the burgeoning feminist movement or reads The Feminine Mystique and starts to remember her childhood dreams and hyperfixations. Maybe something happens to her husband because of racial prejudice and the violence surrounding the push for the Voting Rights Act and she has to decide where that leaves her.

There's a ton you could do with a person's mind (as, naturally, people are complex and exist in all circumstances), and I like the idea of building a personal crisis around actual social and political history instead of an isolated ethical issue making sci-fi tech.

i have. too many interpretations of the RL and RA across the Many aus ive made but i guess the most notable one is union RL so i guess ill go into that one first

the army here isnt really an army more than a small core group of anarcho-communist activists spearheaded by tord as RL, and their supporters/volunteers

their usual criminal activity is airing out grievances of slighted workers to their employers and other higher class entities like the state or corporations except with less paperwork and more guns

basically one day tord sat down and read marx and kropotkin back to back then founded the worlds most violent labor union and now the govt hates him

The Fifth Day of Britannicus

Today I'm doing Nero in Da Domus! Those comics were hilarious and always near and dear to my heart.

It seems like drawn depictions of Brit hardly go wrong. Of the five different drawn versions of Britannicus I know about, I really like four of them but I dislike the fifth one probably because it's in an anime style and I'm not used to that. And every single drawn depiction of Britannicus I know about looks young. They all look Brit's age. Artists are just so good at this.

Anyway, the tumblr of Nero in Da Domus is @neroindadomus. And @owlask is the person who made it.

I personally love this Britannicus. Maybe I'm a little biased because I do love this comic so much, but they did Brit well and did not make him look like he was 30, which is a plus. He's cute, he's Brit. I think his hair suits him. Very nice.

One of my favorite things about logging onto tumblr at the end of the day is seeing Sal talk about some fandom I don’t have the slightest idea or really interest In. I read every post. I’m sitting there just like “oh my god, yes. What else?” As I shove popcorn in my mouth. Other people post like that too, of course, but Sal does it the most often.

But just. Logging in, seeing other people’s interests, getting all the out of context info, and just watching them enjoy themselves??? My favorite part of tumblr
