You know. Something I really hate about a lot of popular fantasy books, and it's especially prevalent in Romantasy, is what passes for Feminism in them. It's a toothless fake, used as an aesthetic/seasoning. A sprinkle of *strong female character* and a dash of deceptively misogynistic everything else, and for the finishing touch a pinch of man who's slightly better than being openly sexist and Boom. Fantasy series led by a FMC.
Generally, the Female Main character either starts out or becomes incredibly powerful, but always, always, always her power is linked to the men around her. She supposedly has agency and makes her own choices but the choices she makes are between choices provided to her by men. Her male love interest is more powerful in SOME way, and ends up besting her in some way. Experience, training, power, there's always some way the man is better than her. Female characters are never allowed to just BE powerful. Or even just BE single. Often they give up their powers, or are forcibly stripped of them. They look down on other female characters for doing "feminine" work. And, they're stupid as hell to supposedly make them relatable or endearing. Often, the male mc is concerningly abusive but it's portrayed as dreamy, romantic and Ideal. (I genuinely get the love for villains, and enemies to not, and the love for morally grey characters, I genuinely do, but this isn't that, what happens in these books is just genuinely bad (if they actually were people) being portrayed through rose colored glasses) [And in some stories that could be genuinely interesting!] If there's a second Love Interest, he will just do the same awful shit to the MC but it's better now bc it's him.
If the female character isn't white, all of this + a staggering amount of racism. They're rarely MCs. They're fridged for the MCs, they serve the MCs, they're never as beautiful or powerful as the MC, they're stereotyped and portrayed as savage, vapid, comically evil, or just as a good guy with no character at all.
These books are presented as feminist and it pisses me off. Feminism is equality for all, and the fight for Women to be equal and have their own agency. To make their own decisions. Genuinely I believe writers should be able to write whatever they want. I have no issues with having "problematic" stuff in books. My issue is when people start to believe that this shit is feminist, and the author is so skilled and amazing, and it's a masterpiece! Fuck that.

Decided to share some of my Sol Spirits designs again.
Long story short, @n0rtist shared some Pokemon drawings where they drew Pokemon with different forms based on their abilities. Then the concept really took off with everyone getting inspired to make their own Pokemon forms based on their abilities.
While I haven't drawn any Pokemon like that, it reminded me of something I did with Sol Spirits, where whenever I make a new Sol Spirit, I draw a design for them in a similar fashion.
So, this is what their "default designs" are like. Water, fire, air, and earth respectfully.
So with that context, here's a few various deviations of said Sol Spirits I made.
There's a bunch more, but most of them are just sketches. Though, making this post reminds me that it's been a very long time since I've last drawn any so I'm pondering if I can squeeze the time in to do a couple more new ones.

I’m absolutely not the first person to say this but I’m saying it.
Dean got exactly what he’s always wanted. He died on a hunt, went out swinging. Went to heaven but it’s sorta different than regular heaven. His brother got to leave hunting, live a normal life, complete with vague blurry wife and named his kid after Dean. He got some equally vague confirmation that Cas is back but he didn’t have to see him and experience the consequences of his confession. He sees his brother again in heaven.
What I’m saying is season 16 could open with Sam saving Dean from a djinn.

New Teaser for the Second Half of Dragons Rising!
Today, Lego cruelly released some shortened snippets of the official Dragons Rising SDCC trailer, giving us VERY little to work with tragically. What we DO have though is quite interesting.
First, we see a sunset, which isn't all that important, but then we see a bunch of dragons flying into the Temple of the Dragon Cores, with the ninja atop them!
Next, we see the kiddos standing in front of the slowly opening gate, with odd glowing Ninjargon runes. The gate itself has a tree on it, which helps fuel my crack theory that the realms are like the World Tree in Norse mythology lol.
Then we see a Merlopian with an odd red thing on their head, tossing an odd blade in the air and ziplining, no doubt a member of the "Gangs of the Sea".
We see Kai toss Wyldfyre up, then we see what has basically already been confirmed to be Cole in a giant rock form, then Kai and Wyldfyre sliding down a hole and finding what appears to possibly be a Dragon Energy Core.
Now we get some extremely interesting stuff, a mysterious blue spirit of sorts fighting Sora, and then fighting Nya, and I believe this to be Jay in his amnesiac state, working for The Administration.
Finally, we see a red Djinn, aka the Djinn elemental master from "The Last Djinn"! (If I see you guys going "Oh my god Jafar!?! lol XD" I'm killing you with my brain), and then we see the Source Dragon shooting fire, which we already saw in Lloyd's vision.

I made so search about Ifrit and I found some interesting things:
Ifrit, also spelled as efreet, afrit, and afreet is a powerful type of demon in Islamic mythology.
In Moroccan belief, the afarit form a more powerful type of demon, compared to the djinn and other supernatural creatures. With the aid of a magical ring, the afarit might be forced to perform certain orders.
-Ifrit appears frequently in film and video games. In the Final Fantasy video game series, an ifrit appears as a summonable spirit or/and an enemy. Like its mythological counterpart, it is a spirit of fire and can use an iconic spell called Hell-Fire
Demon
Summonable
Fire
In Iruma universe, it probably meant that this family of demon has a history of being summoned by humanity. So much that they left a trace on history, folklore and myths like we see now in games and stuff like that.
It also mean that Ifrit is perfectly aware that humans exist. Even if he has not been summoned himself, his ancestors have been.
Imagine if Iruma's parents find the summoning circle of Ifrit after some shady searches. or maybe they weren't shady and that they used the first circle that they found in their searches and it happened to be the ifrit one.
So Ifrit-sensei is summoned, he literally dispear during a meeting with his coworkers.
And he appears in the human realm like "….really? it has been centuries since last time a member of my family has lived that. and that's my turn. Damn!"
Iruma BAD parents: "Hello mister demon, we summoned you for a affair!
Ifrit: …i hope that you don't call a demon for nothing because someone less patient than me could have been angry you know, especially that your circle is badly made. My ancestors would have eaten you on the spot ya know.
Iruma BAD parents: We want money
Ifrit: sigh humanity will never change, they were right. light up a cigarette I'm really disappointed now.
Iruma BAD parents: we give you our son as payment.
Ifrit: ….I'm sorry what?"
And the teachers of Babyls have a son now.
Omg that'd be so cute
Like i see it very vividly they'd all be very protective of him!
of course there'd be that one teacher who's like "can we eat him?" And the rest would be like "wtf no"
I can see ifrit being the wine aunt who'd fucking kill for iruma like just say the word sweetie and they're a goner
Kalego would pretend he doesn't like iruma but he's such a dad an so in denial and everyone would make fun of him
Of course balam would be a mother hen making sure iruma is ok from the trauma of his parents leaving him, meanwhile iruma is there like "this isn't as bad as i thought it'd be. I think I'll stay" ( ya know without all the bs sullivan pulled on him at the beginning and all these people making sure ma boi doesn't get caught and keeping him safe+well fed like why wouldn't he want to stay)
Sullivan would be watching them like "haha these demons antics" but then he'd have one interaction with iruma and he'd be like "he's mine now" and try kidnapping him
Iruma would just smile at opera like "nice to meet you, opera-san!" And opera would immediately help sullivan in kidnapping iruma
I cant help but see dantalion being a little shit who always messes with iruma idk why that's just his vibe
I feel like marbas would just be hanging around in the back like "iruma already has all these demons taking care of him he'll come to me if he needs anything" and then iruma goes to him in his very sweet iruma-way and halfway through marbas would be like i would die for this kid
It'd just be so cute

You're the most amazing kitty of all
This morning was another batch of braindead MTG Arena players. I played against a player using that one mono-blue instant/sorcery deck with all the card draw and counterspells and the genie and sea serpent (you know the one), and they played a copy of Thirst for Discovery...
And they discarded. Two counterspells. Against a ramp deck.
Then later they played a 2nd copy (on THEIR OWN TURN even though it's an instant!) and discarded TWO ESSENCE SCATTERS.
AGAINST A RAMP DECK.
They had 8 lands already. And they discarded their counterspells.
There's some major brain worms in the water these days
