What , And how did you start pairing lotura, And Plance .?

Ooooh boy am I excited to answer this!!! This is going to be a long answer, hope you don't mind! Because I have some specific memories about these two ships, particularly lotura, that I would absolutely love to share with you!

Prepare for a long read! Hehe

Starting with lotura, when season 3 came out and Lotor made his debut, of course I was all 👀👀👀 Because that day something awoke in 19 year old me that I didn't realize could ever be awoken lol. And I wish I could remember exactly what my reaction was to his cat-and-mouse chase with Allura in the episode "The Hunted", but at the time I must not have considered the idea of them ever going in the direction of a romance. Looking back now though, how could I have been so blind??! That chase scene is HOT. I mean just look at them!!! Look at Lotor especially woah mama 😳

Season 4 was mediocre to me at the time, I will confess, for a lot of different reasons. But then season 5, man... SEASON 5!!!! I remember it was March 3rd, 2018. I wasn't keeping up with the show anymore, but I just so happened to see an article online that said season 5 had been released the day before on Netflix. I told my sister and we decided, "eh, let's watch at least the first episode."

And we watched the first episode, alright. And then another, and then another and another until we watched all six episodes in one sitting. We were both blown away! Lotor... Allura... together???? 😲

Their adventures, their chemistry, their clear attraction to one another... I was OBSESSED!!! I shipped them hardcore after that. They were and are still my #1 OTP, and it's because of them that I really tried to work hard and improve my art! I wanted to draw them all the time, making mini comics and AUs, and while their tragic ending actually left me in tears and I was upset for a really long time, I can now say that I have been able to heal and move on from it--eh, mostly anyway, haha.

It still hurts, but 5 years later I feel that I've matured and come to a greater understanding and acceptance. I have come to really appreciate how perfect they are for each other, both aesthetically of course (cuz lookit that sexual dimorphism babeyyy) as well as the many, many things they have in common. I have also come to appreciate their flaws, their imperfections, and the mistakes they made regarding each other and their relationship. They may have gotten a sad ending, but they were still truly equals in every way. It's just beautiful, and my love for them now is stronger than ever :')

For Lance and Pidge on the other hand, it's not quite as clear as when I started shipping them! I remember rolling my eyes at Lance and Allura's first meeting, like "okay Lance is one of THESE guys, here we go 🙄"

Other than that I didn't really ship Lance or Pidge with anyone! If I'm recalling correctly, I don't think it wasn't until after season 6 that I started shipping them together. I remember reading metas and analyses of their relationship that people were making in anticipation for season 7's release, and the more I thought about it, the more I started to really like the idea of Lance and Pidge getting together! And there are definitely subtle hints throughout the earlier seasons of Pidge's feelings for Lance, as well as their fun chemistry with one another, like the episode "Space Mall"!

The hints are not so subtle to me now, but back then it wasn't until I watched season 7 that I actually became hopeful that they could be a couple! I especially loved the moments when Pidge indirectly called Lance "cute, in a creepy, hideous sort of way" lol, and when Lance become very protective over Pidge in such a way that I don't think we ever saw him react before! I was honestly taken aback by that moment!

And again, their ending was definitely less than satisfactory, particularly Lance's ending (still hate it with a passion), but just like with Lotura's relationship, I have also come to appreciate many things about Plance's relationship today. While Lotor and Allura have so much in common and are able to reach an understanding with each other that they can't with anyone else, it would seem at first that Pidge and Lance are far too different to be compatible. And it is true that they are very different, but for one, that can be a good thing! The foundations of some relationships are built off of their differences. It can make someone more compassionate and more open-minded when they have a willingness to accept and appreciate the differences they have with their partner, and a willingness to take a genuine interest in the things that their partner is passionate about, even if they don't completely understand.

And two, at the same time, Pidge and Lance DO have things in common! They both love their families, both have a stronger connection to Earth compared to the other paladins, and they are able to bond with one another over fun pastimes such as video games! How cute is that??!

And just like with Lotor and Allura, I also love Pidge and Lance for their flaws. It did take me a while to come around to Lance, because while he has his funny moments and one-liners, I also found him very annoying at times lol. But I think the fact that he can be really annoying honestly makes him the most realistic character in Voltron. Not necessarily the most relatable, at least not for me, but definitely the most human! Because there are people in our real lives that we love and cherish deeply, but they absolutely have their moments where you go, "ugh, you're so annoying and it really frustrates me when you act this way" but we still wouldn't trade them for the world 🥰

And just to draw one last comparison between Lotura and Plance, I especially LOVE how incredibly different the two pairings are even from each other! To me, Lotor and Allura are sexy and passionate, while Pidge and Lance are pure and fun! They're all so unique and special in their own ways, and they bring so much to the table, both for their characters and for their relationships.

I can't help but write essays every time I get asks, I'm so sorry lol 😭 There's so much more I could say about these guys, but I think I'd better stop here haha! I had a lot of fun writing about Lotura and Plance, and I hope you had just as much fun reading this! I really love these characters a lot. I'm so incredibly grateful that they exist, even if in the form of fiction, and I'm even MORE grateful that my love for them has continued to grow over the years. Oh and one last thing: we were robbed of a lot of different potential interactions with a lot of different characters, but I have to say it would have been fun to see more of Lotor and Lance interacting with each other! Lance was always acting out due to his jealousy, while Lotor on the other hand mostly just ignored him lol.

Rain is something Levi has learned to embrace over the years, a natural phenomenon he didn't get to see until he was in his late twenties. When he was a child, his mother would tell him stories about the world above, and she would mention rain. For a long time, Levi doubted that the sky could be torn apart, sometimes going so far as to deny that the drops could freeze when it was cold outside. When he could see, smell, feel and hear the rain, he was fascinated. He quickly learned that grey clouds caused rain and that white clouds were just there to decorate the sky above him. He learned that rain could be beautiful and soothing, but deadly as well. The humanoid creatures they like to call Titans use this phenomenon to their advantage. Levi would know, having lost his closest friends and several comrades in the disaster.

The soldier brushes his wet locks from his face, the inky black colour looking even deeper. His steel eyes scan his surroundings as he tries to navigate the familiar fields outside Wall Maria. They used to train here before Wall Maria was invaded by the Titans. They had to give it up and lost hundreds of people in the process, something that affected Levi deeply. There was no way anyone who hadn't escaped in time could have survived the breach.

"Eld? I need you to ride ahead. Watch out for abnormals." He decides and turns to his second-in-command, letting his eyes roam over his subordinates.

"Yes Captain!" The blonde eagerly speeds up his stallion and he races away from the droop, rain and fog engulfing him at a relatively short distance. Levi doesn't like it one bit, the fact that they can be blinded so easily is dangerous.

"Green smoke signals on your left!" One of his soldiers notes, causing Levi to look in the direction where Mike's squad should be.

"Everything's going according to plan." Levi breathes out, relieved that they will soon reach Trost again. No deaths, hardly any injuries and Hange was able to study a disintegrating Titan for a few minutes. Everything was going according to plan, until it wasn't.

Levi has to force his horse to stop when he notices Eld's unoccupied one standing in the overgrown grass. A rush of panic hits him and for a moment he feels planc adrenaline rushing through his veins. For a moment, he suspects the worst and prepares to face a titan, but then he notices his dear comrade hovering in the high fields.

"Now is not the time to take a shit, Eld." Levi is quick to point out the misdeeds of his subordinates, easily dismissing them as insults.

"Uh- Captain?" Eld pipes up, pointing to the damp ground.

"What? You want me to look at your shit?" He may be short, but what humanities strongest soldier lacks in height, he makes up for in rude comebacks.

"Captain, there is a girl." Baffled, his eyebrows furrow in an unsettling frown, the dark circles under his eyes more pronounced.

"There's a what now?" Surprised, he lets his body sing from his stallion's back, a 'tch' escaping his lips as he sinks into the muddy earth. If there's one thing Captain Levi hates more than Titans, it's dirt of any kind.

"On the walls." One of his soldiers mumbles as he approaches Eld, who is about to place his cape over something to protect it from the relentless rain and storm.

Levi gulps as he sees you for the first time. Your head is bruised and your clothes torn, your skin pale and wet, your hair dirty and damp. There are several scratches all over your body and it takes him a moment to regain control of the situation. It's certainly unexpected.

"She needs medical attention." He decides and gestures for Eld to step aside.

"I found her like this a few minutes ago." The second in command explains, shivering slightly as his clothes soak up the rain.

"No sign of anyone else. No Titans." Levi nods and leans down to check your pulse, to make sure you are still breathing. It's weak and your condition is most likely unstable, he needs to act quickly.

"We have to hurry. Eld will take you to Erwin's squad and I'll ride her to Trost." He decides and carefully takes you in his arms, carrying you to his horse.

"Hurry. Tell him what happened." He orders, carefully pushing you onto the back of his black steed. Your body hangs over both sides, and while it's not ideal, it's better than nothing. Many questions fill his head as he rushes back to Trost, keeping a firm grip on your unconscious body. How did you leave the walls? Did the Titans attack you? Did you even come from within the walls? By saving you, he'll find the answers to these questions, or so he believes.

Light hits your vision as you open your eyes, a blinding headache makes you whimper in pain and confusion. "Where am I?" You ask aloud, slowly trying to open your orbs to give them time to adjust to the many new influences. You notice someone to your right, a man sitting in a chair looking at you. That's when you start to notice your surroundings. You are in some sort of infirmary, a white curtain shields you from the rest of the room, and a window lets in warm rays of sunlight. The stranger is wearing a greenish uniform, obviously from a military regiment. Are you in trouble? What has happened?

His blue eyes scan you with fascination, and a pair of thick eyebrows furrow at your sight. He seems calculating and calm, studying you like a predator.

"Who...?" your voice is hoarse and you can barely get another word out. It feels like you haven't spoken for a long time, which makes you wonder how long it might have been.

"My name is Commander Erwin Smith. You're in the headquarters of the Scouts Regiment, do you remember how you got outside the walls?" While the man's voice seems serious, there is a certain edge to it, something twisted. Walls? Sounds familiar, you have heard it before. The regiment he mentioned? Not so much, it must be the military division he is from.

"No sir." You blur and run your hands over the soft blanket that has been placed over your body.

"Where are you from? I suppose from somewhere inside the Wall Rose, am I right?" The Commander demands to know, making you gulp at the realisation that you can't remember anything. Not where you lived or how you got here, not even your own name. Salty tears gather in your eyes and run down your cheek, making you feel ashamed to cry in front of this military man.

"I don't remember." He looks at you with obvious suspicion, clearly doubting that you can't remember anything.

"Are you sure?" Smith asks, a slight mockery in his deep voice. You clench your hands and glare at him in anger.

"Yes, I remember having younger siblings to play with. My parents owned a bakery." Memories of fresh bread you sold at the market and faceless sisters running away from you giggling rush before your inner eyes as you swallow the numbness that has formed in your throat. More tears stream down your face at the thought that you can't even remember what your family looked like, hell, you can't even remember what you look like.

"Anything else? Names maybe, or special events in your life?" You take a moment to collect your thoughts and try to think of something special. There is one name that dominates every corner of your mind, leaving a bitter taste on your lips and making you jump at the sudden unpleasant sensation that overwhelms your senses.

"Not that I can think of." You decide to say, lying through your teeth for the first time. Although you are sure that there could be consequences for you, the thought of saying the name scares you a little, and you don't even know why.

"All right. Do you remember who found you outside the walls?" Commander Smith shifts in his seat and crosses his arms, never once taking his intense gaze from your crouched form.

"I just remember someone carrying me to a horse, that's all." You speak truthfully and lean back into the cushions. Erwin Smith lets out a sigh, his eyes moving to something you haven't noticed yet, another man, a soldier who appeared at the entrance.

"Levi." The commander gestures for the soldier to come over, giving you enough time to study the relatively small man. His hair is neat and coal coloured, his skin pale and his eyes seemingly devoid of emotion. He looks much more intimidating than the blonde, even though he's much smaller.

"It's as you suspected. Her head injuries have taken away all her memories." Erwin speaks, a serious change in his tone that you don't like. The soldier called Levi positions himself right next to the seated Commander, both of their eyes on you now.

"Maybe you could help her remember, hm? Motivate her a little." The black-haired soldier steps forward wordlessly, his movements swift and unpredictable as his hand grips your scalp tightly, making your head throb with pain. A yelp escapes your cracked and dry lips, you struggle against his grip, tears blurring your vision.

"Honestly? I don't give a fuck about your name. What really interests me is how you oh so mysteriously appeared outside the walls." His voice is deep and harsh, the way his grip on you only seems to tighten makes you feel frightened.

"Ngh. Stop!" You beg, letting your nails sink into his wrists, but as far as you can tell, he doesn't even flinch.

"Answer my questions and I will." He demands, pulling you closer, your body tensing. You feel violated, somehow suffocated and torn from your freedom. The moment you saw the Commander, you knew something was wrong, that you must have done something bad. And the worst part is, you don't even know what. The only thing on your mind is that name, and right now you're debating with yourself whether it's wise to mention it. When you open your eyes, you see a pair of angry grey ones with shadows dancing in their dark pupils. Levi, that's his name. You have the feeling you have seen his eyes before, seen him before.

"Oi. Stupid brat, you must know something. Spit it out." He is rude and annoys you, making you consider spitting in his face.

"Look at her, Erwin. She probably lost not only her memories out there, but her brain too." You groan in anger at his comment and use the moment of his momentary ignorance to collect your saliva in your mouth.

As Levi turns his attention back to you, something warm and lubricious hits his face. Surprised, he lets go of your wounded scalp and runs his fingers over his cheek, catching the thick, clear, bubbling substance between them. Confused, he looks between you and his hand, a cheeky grin on your tired face. Levi's teeth clench together as he feels disgust rising in his gut and before he can compose himself and calm down, he clenches his hand into a fist and slams it into your cheekbone. Your head is thrown to the side and for a moment you feel nothing but a numbing sting, the heat instantly flushing your cheek red. A hand closes around your face and pulls you up sharply, squeezing your flesh tightly.

"Disgusting bitch." Levi curses and roughly applies more pressure to your cheeks. Whimpering, you grab his wrist and try to pull his strong fingers away, but he makes it difficult for you to move at all.

"Do that again and I'll cut your tongue out." He scolds you, shaking your head in his grip, making you a little dizzy, your head injury and sore cheek suffering from the assault.

"Eren Yeager." You whisper softly, black spots blurring your vision for a moment.

"What?" The black-haired man leans closer, loosening his grip on you so that you can speak more easily.

"Eren Yeager. I only remember his name." Levi and Erwin share a look, the blonde shrugging.

"I've never heard of him." He decides and Levi's attention quickly shifts back to you.

"Neither have I. Who is this supposed to be?" The soldier demands to know, taking a step away from your bed to give you some space. If you are honest, you had hoped that they would know, after all this Eren seems to be important to you. You shift in your mattress, adjusting your body to the new found freedom. Hoping that this Levi man will keep his distance, you begin to explain, trying to collect your thoughts.

"The first thing I remember is waking up under a tree. My head hurt pretty bad and I was disoriented." The situation is imprinted on your mind like a bad dream; you can't remember how it started or ended, maybe it's still going on.

"I walked for a while but collapsed again when it started to rain. I don't know how much time had passed before one of your men found me. I must have blacked out or something soon after.

Erwin seems conflicted, his beautiful blue eyes reflecting his inner anguish. On the one hand he wants to believe you, sees your serious injury as reason enough to trust your words, but on the other hand this situation is too good to be true. It has only been two years since Wall Maria fell, and his theories about human trafickers using this situation to their advantage only seem to grow. Now a young woman appears in the wild fields right inside the fallen wall. It's absurd to him. His serious expression shifts to Levi, calculating his next steps.

"There are rumours that traffickers from the underground city use routes outside Wall Rose to transport women and children. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?" Erwin wonders, catching Levi off guard. He's not a man to give much thought to rumours, especially as ridiculous as this one, but it could be another explanation for their sudden appearance.

"I did. Although I highly doubt it. There's no way they could survive out there." Levi says, easily dismissing the idea.

"But she did." Erwin points out, both eyes resting on you again.

You doubt that you were the victim of traffickers, and apparently Levi does too. The new situation you find yourself in still confuses you, and you begin to question whether you are from their people at all.

"What if I'm from outside your walls? I honestly don't even know what these walls are supposed to be". You confess and cross your arms, and for a moment you could have dropped a needle, and the room fell deadly silent. You may have hit a nerve, judging by the way the two men stare at you in bewilderment.

"Shit." The smaller one breathes out and puts his flat hand to his face.

"Either she's stupid or she really is from out there." He mumbles to himself and glances at his Commander, waiting for new orders and instructions. The blonde stands up, slightly towering over his soldier, looking down at you with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion, both emotions that will determine how they will treat your stay here.

"Organise a meeting with the Section Commander. I'll write to Commander Pixies." They both walk past your bed without further explanation, leaving you in the dark as to what's going to happen.

"Wait!" you demand, making Erwin stop in his tracks, while Levi continues to walk away, not interested in staying and continuing to entertain your confused self.

"What will happen to me?" You ask, worried about what they have planned for you. It's not as if they were particularly hostile towards you.

"That is up to you" With that, the Commander follows Levi's lead and leaves you alone with your thoughts, giving you time to process everything that has happened. Crying, you hide under your blanket, wondering what has happened to you and your memories.

You wonder who you are.

Anecdotes on How to Incorporate Art and Magic Without Failing

I love creating things, and I equally love being in tune with my spiritual side. I find that when I try to mesh the two I quickly feel burnt out both from the mental planning it takes for projects, and partly from having to pour in so much energy into every ounce of what I create. I dabble in traditional drawn art, crochet, knitting, and embroidery. As a result, my tips will be more focused on those areas, but I hope to provide some help to those interested in art magic regardless of their chosen art format.

Without further ado- here are some tips on how to increase your success in art magic based on my personal experience.

1. Do not get caught up in weaving in every little feeling and detail.

When I first started my art magic journey, I would get caught up in making sure I completely focused on my intent while I was creating my works. Since most spells emphasize how important it is to maintain focus on intent, I was under the impression that my journey into art magic would apply the same principle. However, I found that this was hard to maintain and would lead to me getting frustrated with my wandering mind.

Instead, I would advise as approaching it as being in a meditative state. You let your mind ebb and flow-- you acknowledge the thoughts and you let them go, occasionally thinking of the intent of course.

2. Utilize symbolism (numbers and colors aplenty)

This is my solution to my issue with focused intent. Whenever I include colors, animals, or numbering I use it as a tool to focus my intent. For me, it enables my mind to wander freely, while still having piece of mind towards the intent. I mainly use animal and plant symbolism along with color symbolism, but there are plenty of other things you can incorporate.

3. Working in Spell Elements Beforehand and Afterhand

Sometimes I like to start a project by reciting a chant before I begin a project. Typically it'll be a sort of enchantment I'll plance on the tool used to create the project, and following up with a sort of spell to incorporate that enchantment to the art I made. You can also ground yourself before you make art, or you can craft a spell to seal the intent into the artwork.

4. Listening to Music that Matches your Intent.

If you're like me, you probably enjoy having something else to focus on while you work. Putting together a playlist with songs that capture the emotions you want to pour into your spell can be perfect for that reason.

5. Take Breaks from Art Magic to do Things Just for the Sake of Doing It

It's easy to stress over making everything perfect and doing everything in some contrived "proper" way, but I find that when I worry too much that's when I lose sight on what makes my art feel magical. Sometimes that means setting down a piece to do something else, sometimes that means making silly fanart, and sometimes that means I don't touch anything art related for a week so I can find purpose again.

Your art is a reflection of your soul, or it can be a reflection of the world and people around you. It's messy, it's ugly, it's beautiful, it's perfect. All at the same time. Give yourself room to just enjoy yourself every once in a while.

6. Let Yourself be Spontaneous

I'm the type of person where I always have an idea of how things should be in my head-- which also means I can't stand it when things don't quite work out in my favor. In cases of doing art magic, I've found that the best thing I can do is listen to my gut instinct even if it means doing something way different than I would normally want to create. Try out abstract art, incorproate junk into your paintings, try a new medium!

The Hypocrisy of the Klance & Plance Age Differences

I'm a Plance shipper. I think Lance and Pidge are perfect together. I'll get into that a different day, though.

The main gripe I hear from Klance shippers about how Plance is "creepy" and "doesn't work" is because there's a 3 year age difference between the two.

Alright then, let's look at ages.

The VLD timeline is convoluted at best. I literally spent about 3 hours one night trying to figure out the timeline and eventually came to one that I think works out pretty well. A HUGE shoutout goes to Greg Tyler who wrote several blog articles about this confusing conundrum.

The ages of the Paladins when they leave in the Blue Lion:

Keith - 18

Hunk - 17

***This is where I demonstrate someone can have their own head canon but still respect canon when it comes to official VLD issues. I personally believe his age is really 18. Hunk is listed as being 17 with his birthday is in January. Due to Hunk's looks, size, and maturity, I don't think the year they left in the Blue Lion he turned from 16 to 17. I think he turned from 17 to 18. So in the VLD fan stuff I create, Hunk is older than Lance, not younger. But we'll go with what the creators said and also because Hunk's age is 17 in the guidebook.***

Lance - 17

Pidge - 15

***Pidge's age has been disputed over the years, with some incorrectly saying she's 14. The guidebook states she is 15. I think some of the misinformation is spread so people can look down on the Plance shipping.***

To keep the mathing simple, let's assume Keith was born in the year 2300. Birthdays will be thus:

Again, the year is arbitrary to make mathing easier. I still can't figure out what year VLD takes place.

In S1 E1, there's a calendar on the wall in Keith's shack that has the number 2 on it. Assuming Keith kept up with his calendar, we know the Paladins left in the Blue Lion on the 2nd.

I go with Greg's timeline, because he's pretty much a Voltron scholar of all the different Voltron branches. Greg worked out that the Paladins left in May, which looks accurate from the scenery.

Note: I live in the desert, and yes, there is a difference between Spring and Fall. The sun light in S1 E1 looks much more like Spring light than Fall light.

So, the Paladins and Shiro left Earth in the Blue Lion on May 2nd, 2319.

Seasons 1-6 take place roughly throughout the rest of 2319 and I believe into 2320.

This is where things get complicated.

By December of 2319, these are the Paladins' ages:

Going along with the timeline, Keith does his two year age jump in the Quantum Abyss sometime in the first half of 2320.

So, the first half of 2320, the ages are:

And at the end of 2320, the ages are:

Take a good, long look at those ages for the second half of 2320.

Most people will be hung up on the fact that Lance is 19 and Pidge is 16. It's a 3 year age difference.

But what is Keith's age minus Lance's age? 22-19?

3 years.

Let's repeat that.

22-19 = 3.

Keith is 3 years older than Lance due to his two year jump in the Quantum Abyss.

Now before y'all come at me, finish reading the entire post.

Pidge and Lance are only 2 years apart for roughly 3.5 months, from April - July.

Lance and Keith are only 2 years apart for roughly 3 months, from July - October.

Thus, because of Keith's time jump, Lance and Keith are as far apart in age as Lance and Pidge.

Actually ... Pidge and Lance are technically closer in age by roughly two weeks.

"But 22 and 19 are better than 19 and 16 because 22 and 19 are adults!" I can just hear some of y'all screaming this at the computer.

Here's a fun little fact:

Just because someone is 18 and a legal adult does not necessarily mean it is okay for them to date another legal adult.

Someone at 19 can still be in a very predatory relationship with someone who is 22.

Klancers who are saying that their ship is more "moral" are just wrong.

It's not more moral. Either Klancers don't know how to math or they're willing to look the other way when it comes to what they want.

And before my words are twisted and taken out of context, I'm not saying Keith and Lance would have a predatory relationship. But the logic that their three year age gap is better than Lance and Pidge's because it's "more moral" doesn't hold any ground and is flawed.

Do Klancers honestly think a story with a 23 year old Pidge and 26 year old Lance is worse than a 23 year old Lance and 26 year old Keith?

Make it make sense.

If Pidge having a crush on Lance when she's 15 and he's 17 and then turns 18 is bad, then no one should have celebrity crushes - or just crushes in general. Ever. Until they're at least 21.

Do you really think a 19 year old Lance would date a 16 year old? I don't think so. Where are your morals if you think Lance would do that? And, quite frankly, neither of them are ready to date at the end of the series (before we get the 5 year in the future photo). Lance is still mourning the loss of Allura and Pidge is focused on improving the Garrison.

Not to mention all of the trauma and therapy everyone needs to go through. They need time to process and work on themselves. But I can see a Pidge and Lance in their 20s connecting with each other. They're a perfect balance of each other.

But, again, that's another post for another day. Don't worry - it's coming.

Right now, though, I'm gonna go water some Plance - I mean, plants.

By the time Hunk found them, they were on their third Hammer Horror film and they'd passed out on the snacks he'd made. Hunk never cared for horror movies of any kind, but he'd overheard Pidge and Lance planning a "Monday Macabre Movie Marathon" and had volunteered to make them something to snack on.

"Just so long as it doesn't have anything to do with blood... or eyeballs... or anything like that."

Lance would probably razz him about how he could prepare things like sweetbreads and be bothered by eyeballs.

But at any rate, Hunk leaned down where Pidge and Lance lay on a jumbled pile of piles on the floor and tucked their blanket closer around them. As he went to fetch the remote, Hunk noticed out of the corner of his eye that Lance pulled Pidgecloser and she nuzzled into his chest. Hunk shut the tv off and considered extracting the food from under them.

It wasn't sticky, he thought to himself. It could wait until morning.

"Lance, you don't you don't understand!" Keith argued, "nothing has been working!"

"Keith, you can't just do this, please. If not for me, then for shiro? Or Pidge, Hunk, Coran, Allura?"

"Allura," Keith spat. "You expect me to do anything for her when she stole everything from me!?"

"What has she ever stolen from you?!" Plance claimed. Keith looked at Lance, his expression un readable but silent none the less.

"You.." Keith whispered.

"What?"

" I said You! Okay? She stole you from me." He cried, his voice began to crack. "She stole my everything," he whispered. Lance stood stunned at Keith's declaration. Every beat of silence became loud, lance had said nothing, not even a sound. He just stood there as if the idea of Keith liking him in that way was unheard of, like it was impossible. Every second, the large drop that was in front of Keith became more tempting. Every second, his urge to jump, to get rid of the pain of all these years, was getting larger. Everything he tried, the drugs, alcohol, any of it lead to only momentary numbness. Happiness for only a short time. Death, though? That was a different story. Everything would be gone. Finally, he would have control. It was like this was the only thing in life he could control, and Lance was taking that away from him. Keith heard footsteps shuffling frantically up the stairs to the roof. "What did you do?!" Keith demanded."No, no, you are NOT taking this away from me!" Keith's tears began to fall down his face. A dreaded sense of betrayal looming over him. Lance wanted him to be happy. Right? So why would he take that away?! The footsteps got closer. "Probably shiro, pidge, Hunk and coran, of course not Allura though she hates my guts," Keith thought. A worry filled Lance's eyes. And yet, Keith didn't care...

One step...

Keith lowered his head, "Lance, I love you, I really do." he looked up, seeing the broken and dishevelled Lance one last time, and he jumped.

"NO!" Lance cried, leaping forward, his hand just slipping past Keith and failing to grab on to him. "I love you too..." he said, voice cracking and eyes filling with tears.

"You can join him." Somone said from behind Lance. He turned around quickly.

"Wha-" He began, but no one was there.

"Over here," the voice said, pulling Lance over to the edge, his stomach slamming against the railing borderline winding him. "Tempting, isn't it?" The voice giggled. "Do it, I know you want to. Follow him." The voice tempted in his ear. The ground became soothing, like it was calling him. Lance couldn't believe he was being persuaded to actually do this. And by the air at that. "Oh, I'm not "Air. " I'm the other voice. The one inside your head. The one with the "bad thoughts." But really, is this one "bad?" The voice questioned. "Go on... be with him. Join us."

"I-" Lance began

"They are almost here. Choose now. I think you know what you want..."

"Keith"

"Go on, do it."

" I'll see him? Yes?"

"Yes," the voice responded. Lance looked to the stars. He decided.

"I'll he there soon Keith... I love you, " he breathed into the night. Slowly, yet hastily, he crawled over the railing in front of him...

"I'm coming, my love..." he whispered. Still looking at the stars, he submitted himself to the ground. Giving in at last.

Thank you so much! I thought that nobody actually noticed my disappearance. But I'm glad I was wrong. Thanks for your request — you unblocked my love for fanfiction and Voltron ships. Plance was one of my fav. Always will be. My sweet children. Here a piece for your request — a human AU.

“Do you know who I saw today?” Shay got down to business without preamble.

She came at Hunk’s work place for literally fifteen minutes to drink coffee and run away further.

“Who?” Hunk lovingly slipped Shay new profiteroles and listened with half an ear.

“Pidge and Lance!”

“So what?” Hunk shrugged his shoulders. “They hang out together all the time.”

“Oh, no, it was different.”

“Why?” Hunk didn't understand. “They're friends. We often hang with them too.”

“Yeah, but I'm afraid they wouldn't be happy to see us today,” Shay chuckled, hiding her smile behind a cup of coffee.

“Why not?”

Shay leaned over and beckoned Hunk to her, and then in a whisper, as if it was the greatest secret, said, “They were kissing.”

“Pidge and Lance?” Hunk's eyes widened. “It can't be! They're… they're…”

“Friends. I know. But, apparently, friendship has reached a new level. It’s amazing! We can go on double dates.”

“But we're-” Hunk began, but stopped, trying to remember if there was anything strange in Pidge and Lance’s behavior, but nothing came to mind. “I just can’t believe it.”

“I knew,” Shay shrugged and put a new profiterole in her mouth. “Sooner or later something had to change between them.”

“But they're friends! It violates every meaning of friendship! If we follow this logic, then Lance could kiss Keith, and Keith could kiss Shiro. We are all friends, one big company.”

“Honey,” Shay covered Hunk's hand with her own, “calm down. You just didn't notice, but I saw how Lance looks at her, and how Pidge reacts to him.”

Hunk was not fully convinced, but he trusted his girlfriend in amorous matters. Maybe he just didn't notice…

Literally that same evening, Hunk made sure that Shay was right.

The coffee shop was getting ready to close, Hunk turned off the main light and was putting things in order in the room when he was attracted by movement outside the window. It was raining. Suddenly under the streetlamp, which was located just next to the entrance to the coffee shop, a couple stopped. They kissed passionately under the umbrella. The girl was petite, and she had to reach out to her boyfriend, who leaned towards her, pressing her with one hand and holding the umbrella firmly with the other.

Hunk chuckled and turned away when recognition suddenly shot through him like an electric current. He turned to the window again. The kissers were still there, they didn't break away from each other. Hunk took a few quiet steps toward the door. The couple couldn't see him, but he could make out their faces perfectly in the light of the lantern. “Oh. My. God! It's Lance and… and Pidge!”

Then Lance broke away from Pidge's lips, they laughed at something and went their way hand in hand, leaving Hunk alone to digest what he saw.

"How long will it take for you to realize I'm madly in love with you?" He asked with a boyishly charming voice.

She rolled her eyes as she looked up from her book. "I've known since 7th grade. I've just got better things to do then to mingle with a comic relief coded man."

"Hey!" He took joking offence. "I'm more than the comic relief, I'm the hot one too!"

"No, that's my job." She corrected as she closed her book.

5. Who usually has nightmares?

I think that post-canon, they have pretty equal amounts of nightmares, but Lance's tend to be a little worse, just on account of the specific kind of shit he went through. Pidge comes up with ways to jolt herself into lucid dreaming and break out of "oh god this is real" into "This is horrible but just a dream; in the real world, Dad and Matt are still alive." Meanwhile, Lance... even if he forces himself into lucid dreaming, he still remembers nearly dying, generally greater injuries, and his first love is dead.

(He loves Pidge, but neither of them ever stops mourning Allura, and neither of them begrudges the other for it, and Pidge knows that it hits Lance harder, just because of how they'd grown closer at the end, close enough that Allura left him her marks.)

(It's hard for both of them, but... yeah.)

14. Who kills the spiders?

I think Pidge has the personality but I also think she'd scoop them up and deposit them outside when Lance gets A Wee Bit Squeamish.

i am so sorry to leave you waiting i thought i already answered this but i guess i just did it in my head LMAO

the whole thing with james is certainly going to be a mini plot line lol but dw this is definitely a plance fic!! just me having fun exploring pidge’s dynamic with her peers aside from the other paladins (and also dipping my toe in the teenage drama i always avoided like the plague!).

and lance was pissy over james calling pidge by her first name when the option was never extended to him LOL. i didn’t feel like i could ignore that, especially since this fic also explores trauma’s impact on our identity and our relationship with ourselves, but i may not have conveyed it super clearly lmao. he’s petty sometimes

sorry i can’t guarantee when the next update will come, i’ve got a BEHEMOTH of a project due on wednesday and i’ll also be doing stuff with friends this weekend but hopefully by next monday things will have slowed down!!

Fife? What’s going on?

Forgive me if anyone has pointed this out before an I have missed this discourse previously, but....What is up with Fife?

Here’s my hypothesis (and isn’t this half the fun of participating in fandom anyway?):

I saw a tiktok (I did not save it), that showed Penelope running down the hill toward Eloise at Aubrey Hall. The day she shows up in a Green Dress (TM). In the background, several characters are walking along, but who is in the corner of the left side? Fife! And he’s watching Penelope. Hmmm.

So then, I looked him up online, and there isn’t a lot about the character on his wiki page. So I went to the actor’s IMDB, and they had a clip show thingy, and Pen was in several clips that he was featured in. Like, most of the clips. 

He was watching her in season 1 when Colin danced with her. He was REALLY AND INTENTLY watching her when Colin dance with her in season 2. Like, the dude stared at them the whole time. 

And then I went and watched the “Are you courting the girl?” scene (Heartbreak, I know), and the way Fife asked doesn’t exactly sound like the way he’s talked about women the other times. His voice is inflected differently in the other scenes. Like when he was thanking Anthony for deciding to marry, and when he was rude during the promenade, and..well all the times Fife bothers to open his mouth. But, when he asks Colin if he’s courting the girl, it sounds like an earnest question. Like he’s feeling out if it’s okay to have a thing for Penelope Featherington. Like, maybe, if Colin had said yes, then it would have made it socially okay for Fife to maybe court her too (Or go after her some sort of way). 

So my sis is going to go back and watch all of season one and two again and watch the background any time Pen is there and we are going to try and snap every time Fife is watching Penelope. I think it’s a lot more than we realize. 

SOOOO, this brings us to possible Season 3 conflict. What if Fife decides to say “To Heck with It” and tries to court Penelope. Or at least give her more noticeable attention than he’s giving her right now? 

First off, we won’t have to worry about a love triangle because Penelope is smart enough to decline his advances. She’d rather be single than mess with that guy. But Fife is Fife and he’ll probably become more dogged if he really does have a thing for her. He gave up quick on Edwina, but it was his friend who seemed more into Edwina and Fife was just there being performative. And maybe Fife’s attention sets Colin to spiraling. Not really jealousy (though I for one like a little jealously (Anthony staring at Kate in the boat anyone?), but maybe it wakes him up his current feelings for Penelope. She’s definitely avoiding Colin by this point. She’s never at the Bridgertons’ house because of her rift with Eloise, she’s dressing in greens and blues and soft pinks and he’s forced to realize something is going on in his heart because FIFE is openly displaying an affection toward Penelope that SIGNIFICANTLY PALES in comparison to anything going on inside of Colin, yet here is Fife trying to court her? So Colin will need to do some soul searching, because why isn’t he himself courting her when Fife certainly isn’t able to see all that Penelope really is and all that she is is screaming inside Colin’s heart and mind. 

In Conclusion: Fife has a secret thing for Penelope (that may not be wholesome at all because it’s Fife) but it’s going to get more noticeable in season three and that will set off the chain of events that makes Colin recognize what he’s already feeling for Penelope. 

Cue Penelope Fan Boy Number 1.
