I actually think Dorian and Orym should fight more.
Remember when their slowly building tension over and entire episode (full of passive aggressive remarks and blame throwing) led to threats? And how after, Orym thanked Dorian for handing over the crown sadly because he knew Dorian would be mad at him? And Dorian couldn't even look at him because he was legitimately hurt, thinking Orym was disappointed in him for doing what he thought was right? That was peak.
The fact they went from that to their current closeness and trust is the best part of their entire dynamic. Their relationship was hard fought and still will be. They will fight for it because they respect and care for one another deeply, and their disagreements don't change that, only improve it.

I believe in lecturing and haranguing people who wrong you or act inappropriately not because I think you'll be able to convince them they're wrong or should feel shame through the power or oratory but because being yelled at/chased around/scolded is deeply unpleasant even if you think the person doing it to you is completely insane, sometimes especially so,
and the basic conditioned response of hoping to avoid more punishment is, while not anywhere near the best or most effective behavior modification tool, actually functional as a deterrent for unwanted social behavior. kyle your coworker who makes rape "jokes" will never be convinced that this is evil behavior or feel bad for doing it, but you can introduce immediate and unpleasant consequences for making rape jokes that will eventually cause an aversive response. to do this effectively you need to be comfortable with adopting an enforcer position in the social group, which most people aren't because we naturally fear being disliked more than almost anything else. taking on the burden of being the local Bitch Who Hates Fun is in fact pro-social and benefits everyone, even kyle.
this is basic, primitive animal training theory and it's not nearly as effective as rewards-only behavior modification, but by the time Kyle is 25 and bothering you at work his parents have already fucked up the learning period where he could have been prevented from being an asshole. now it's time for the stick. if you really wanted to get stuck in, introducing positive feedback for being well-behaved is the next step but I think that's usually more energy investment than you can do interrupting some idiot on the bus or responding to sexual harassment in the grocery store.

zolu aroace positivity post!!! because if you're aroace and you celebrate the gift that is zolu, I want to share why they mean so much to me as an aroace.
what makes zolu so special to me is because first and foremost, zoro and luffy went out to the vast open seas of the world to chase after their dreams. luffy wants to be the pirate king, zoro wants to be the best swordsman. even after being recruited, even after all they went through, they never stopped having their dreams as the forefront of their characters. but it just so happens that both their dreams are intertwined with each other, the best swordsman in the world's most fitting place is by being right next to the pirate king, and the pirate king believes that he would reach his goal by having the best by his side.
the reason why I believe zoro and luffy's relationship is so strong is because by fighting for their own dreams, they also strengthen their bond with the other. zoro wants to be strong to be the best swordsman, but it's also to protect the crew and to best support luffy as he guns for the title of pirate king. luffy wants to be strong to be pirate king, but it's also to protect the crew, but also? by being strong, he proves time and time again that his crew did not make the wrong decision to follow him, that he is a Captain that deserves to obtain the one piece (i think of luffy aiming to be strong so that his crew will never have to falter about his leadership, especially after water 7).
as an aroace, this feels like the best way to showcase love and devotion and trust with each other. knowing that someone's dream becomes a part of your own, that every time you fight for yourself and you aim to be a better version of yourself, you're not only working for your own sake but for the better of you and your partner. that i come to love my partner because they understand me, and they know why i fight so hard to reach my goal. and not only that, they fight as equally hard for their own goal. together, both of our dreams ultimately help each other become the best version of ourselves.
knowing that zoro believes in luffy wholeheartedly that he fought for his dream too, enough to put his life on the line for luffy. knowing that luffy can leave his most precious family and crew to zoro because he trusts zoro wholeheartedly to win.
to me, this is how I envision love. it's about getting to know each other, understanding each other, loving each other to the point that their dreams become yours, and fighting together side by side to make that dream come true.
zoro and luffy have that in spades. imo, zoro and luffy's appeal as a relationship is that they are intertwined with each other, and they go through hell and back and fight for each other and their dreams together. it's no wonder that aroace people like me are drawn to them, their love and bond transcends just having an attraction to each other. because it's also about having this person change and inspire me to be better.

“Hey I didn’t wanna take your place Dickster! But now yer back—I’m willing to be magnanimous! Fifty-fifty all the way! Can you see the headlines? Double threat! Criminals beware—the Nightwingers are back in town!”
“I know all about what you did, dick—the whole blockbuster thing. That’s right, and I also know that for just a second there you saw the real world. Well I’ve seen it too, my friend. You and me, Dickie-bird, we’re the only ones who know what the world is anymore! What it needs!”
“You’re right…and it sure as hell isn’t you!”
While dressed as Nightwing, Jason tries to get dick to join him. First by saving him from falling and bantering then by calling him partner and telling him that only they understand what the world needs. He’s convinced that because of what happened with blockbuster, dick understands him and his idea for the world. When dick rejects him, Jason challenges him to a “best Nightwing” contest and slashes his hand with a dagger. (Nightwing Vol.2 #119)

Im kinda so very much out of the vivziepop helluva boss loop since its been a while since I watched anything of hers (And because spme of the writing and some of her...choices character design wise turned me off from interacting further) but one thing I will never not have in the back of my mind is how they portrayed striker* as being unreasonably petty and angry at the mistreatment of imps and that his agenda was misguided hatred.
When from what I get in lore from what I remeber that imps systematically are treated like shit and so infantilized by higher-ups that they are treated as pets so I honestly I dont blame him for being a hater as well as not understanding why anyone would--esp an imp would wanna be in cahoots with these infamously elitist classist set of assholes.

I've been thinking about the tragedy of Elizabeth Woodville living to see the end of her family name.
I don't mean her family with her husband, which lived on through her daughter and grandson. I mean her own.
Her sisters died, one by one, many of them after 1485. When Elizabeth died, only Katherine was left, and she would die before the turn of the century as well.
All her brothers died, too. Lewis died in childhood. John was executed. Anthony was murdered. Lionel died suddenly in the peak of Richard's reign, unable to see his niece become queen. Edward perished at war. Richard died in grieving peace. For all the violence and judgement the family endured, it was "an accident of biology" that ended their line: none of the brothers left heirs, and the Woodville name was extinguished. We know the family was aware of this. We know they mourned it, too:
“Buy a bell to be a tenor at Grafton to the bells now there, for a remembrance of the last of my blood.”
Elizabeth lived through the deposition and death of her young sons, and lived to see the end of her own family name. It must have been such a haunting loss, on both sides.
