SO, I am not super comfortable with a professor/student dynamic so I have done a peer tutor type situation; hope that is ok! I really don't know if this is anything, tbh, but I'm really just trying to leave the tap on to get the rust out!! So thank you for this request; I hope it at least in some way satisfies!

Kant or Won't?

You pushed through the heavy library door with a sigh. It was a beautiful day – one of the first of the year. The blossom was budding on the trees; the grass was dry enough to sit on; the sun was bright and warm overhead. You were heading into the dim, crowded world of studying on a Saturday.  

You only had yourself to blame. You knew that. One too many parties and too few essays written. You knew you had to try harder. What you didn’t know was why your school was mandating tutoring. It wasn’t that you didn’t know things! You didn’t struggle with the material; it was the sitting down and focusing on it that was the problem. How a tutor was supposed to help with that, you didn’t know. You did, however, want to stay at university so you accepted your fate.  

The peer tutor service had told you which private study room was booked for your session, but when you peered in through the door window, you assumed there must have been some sort of mistake.  

“Uh, it’s Yoongi, right?” you asked, tentatively as you entered the room.  

He looked up and nodded. 

You knew Yoongi. Well, you knew of him. He was in your philosophy group. He contributed only when forced to and you had never seen him chatting to anyone either before or after seminars. You assumed he was just some kind of loner loser guy and that was really the first and last you ever thought of him. You didn’t notice him and no one else seemed to either.  

It surprised you that he would volunteer to do this: meet with lazy, unfocused students to bring their grades up. It wasn’t exactly socialising, but it was social. It would involve talking to people. Strangers. Maybe even people he actively disliked. 

You sat around the corner of the table from him and pulled out your notebook, full of half-finished sentences and scribbled notes from lectures. The edges were black with doodles and your first clean page was the one right next to where you had snapped and written ‘FUUUUUUUUCK’ in huge capital letters. You tucked that page to the back and readied your pen. 

“Just so you know,” you started as Yoongi opened his textbook, “I’m not actually like, dumb. I’m fine with the material; I just hate doing the essays, y’know? I’m just too lazy to get around to it, so then, when it’s the night before deadline, I just have to write any old shit to get it done. You know how it is, right? Procrastination nation.” 

Yoongi looked at you, thoughtfully, and it was the first time you’d ever really seen his face. It was nice. He was kind of good-looking actually. You wondered what sort of life he had off-campus. Maybe he just didn’t like the people at school. Maybe he had other friends. A partner? Not that you cared, but you thought, now that you were really looking at him, maybe he could have one. Not bad at all. 

“Lazy?” he asked. 

You nodded, expecting him to say something more. He didn’t.  

“Ok, well...” You spoke for him. “I guess we’re supposed to get my essay on Kant done?” 

You flicked through your notes to see if you’d taken any while Yoongi still just looked at you.  

“What are you views on Kant?” you asked.  

“What are your views on Kant?” he countered.  

You wondered if it was a test. You’d told him you knew the material; it was only reasonable for him to ask for proof.  

The directness of his gaze made you feel a little flustered; the focus of his attention unwavering in a way you found unsettling.  

“Um, well, ok...”

“Guess what I’ve just done,” you demanded as you walked into the private study room two weeks later. 

“What?” 

“I’ve just submitted my Kant thing!” 

Yoongi didn’t look surprised, but he did look pleased. You felt a genuine sense of pride, swiftly followed by an embarrassed guilt that you should feel so proud of something that thousands of other people did with ease every day.  

“Wow,” he said. “And the deadline isn’t for three whole days.” 

“I know!” 

“How do you feel?”  

You didn’t want to tell him how pleased with yourself you were. You knew he had submitted his last week. You didn’t want to let him know that you were pathetic enough to feel a genuine sense of achievement over what you’d done. It was minor. Embarrassingly minor.  

“Good, I guess. Nice to have it out of the way.” 

Yoongi nodded.  

“That’s really great.” 

He smiled at you and you smiled back. If you got a good grade for this essay, you wouldn’t have to come back for tutoring. That alone had almost made you not complete the essay. Yoongi’s presence was soothing and something about being here in this room with him made it easier to focus. You liked studying with him. He mostly kept to himself and let you ask questions when you needed to. It didn’t really feel like tutoring at all, to be honest. He was a study buddy, not a teacher.  

You were surprised how much you enjoyed it, actually, when it really got down to it. Without the screaming panic of a deadline just hours away, you had more time to focus on the content, think about the topic, read about it, dig in. You remembered why you had chosen philosophy in the first place. And, when prompted, Yoongi would talk to you about it, too; your views were often the same, but not always. He was smarter than you, but not by much. 

You met frequently, first in short bursts, then in longer and longer sessions that you often found yourself wishing would last longer. Yoongi was good at sticking to the topic, pulling you back around when your conversation veered into general chat or something irrelevant, which you did more and more each time, because he was nice to talk to, he was interesting; you wanted to know what he thought and what he had to say.  

You also still didn’t know if he had a partner.

“Aha!”  

You cornered Yoongi in the classroom before he could escape, thrusting your essay into his face. He took it from you and eyed the grade in the corner with a smirk. 

“Well done, you.”  

“Nailed it, mate!” 

“You did.” 

“This means you don’t have to tutor me anymore.” 

He laughed softly. 

“It’s not like I really ever did anything. You said so yourself: you know the material. You never really needed me.” 

Something about that made you feel sad. You had needed him. You would not have been able to do it without him, if all your past experiences were to be relied upon.  

“Well, actually...”  

You had been working up to this. It was the perfect opportunity so you had just been waiting, waiting for your grade, waiting for this open target. 

“I was kind of hoping you might have some time to talk over the next one with me... Not formally, as a tutor, but just... y’know... Like, as a classmate. Or friend.” 

Yoongi blinked rapidly, his mouth slightly open.  

“Uh, yeah. Yeah ok.” 

“Cool. I’ll, um, text you or something and we can set up a time?” 

He nodded. There was a tiny stretch of tension between you, held for just a moment, before he stood from his seat and you straightened up, readying to walk away.  

“I’ll see you... soon, I guess.” 

“Yeah, soon.”

House of alpha is one of those stories where I’m writing a chapter and have to stop myself because I’m writing into the next chapter. I had planned to make chapter 14 longer but it was already peaking 4k and you know Gojo is going to want more from that kiss because he’s greedy 👀~. I also had fell asleep like right after I posted hahah. I was so mad when my work didn’t save I stayed up all night to finish it so don’t worry I’ll try to get that next chapter to you ASAP~ I do have two children that are not yet out the house (Looks at Desert Rose and House of Alpha stories) I must love them both equally so the next post will be for Desert Rose ~ don’t worry she’s almost old enough lol (not me treating my stories like kids XD) 🖤

Oh! Yes! I have very interesting dreams. I have so many ideas that I have to close off because I need to finish the stories I have lol. I like to focus on one or two stories at a time.

So~ I don’t think I can tell you how fucking hilarious it was when i ran away in my dream from the omega house. In my dream I actually was on the boat getting ready to sail. I was leaning on the side looking out at the beautiful ocean while taking a deep sigh. Like damn those were some hot ass alphas, I’ll never get that experience but oh well~ The captain sounded the bell for us to go but then stopped mid ring. that’s when two men stepped up beside me. Sukuna was snacking on fingers (he was a lot more gruesome in my dream. Like he actually killed miwa in my dream because he got pissy of the food she served him so I made sure to save her in the actual story and made that part part of the game story if that makes sense) while Toji just leaned on the side to admire the view with me. And Toji was like nice view Huh? And sukuna was like yeah imma stop you right here I don’t like boats get the fuck off And I looked at them like WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE?! And toji was like oh we were just seeing where you were going but let’s stop it here prime omega. And the complete shock I felt when they told me they chose me sent me flying over board as I swam away and ran because I just can’t accept nice things XD. yeah hehe my dream was more of the smutty bits and plots lol I don’t want to spoil it 🤭.

But when I woke up I was left in awe. It was like i watched a really good movie but I can’t tell anyone to watch it because it doesn’t exist so I gotta retell the story like tenacious D singing their tribute to the greatest song in the world but it was the greatest reverse harem issekai in the world 🤣🖤. I was like the people must know of this story !

WHAT IS THIS? I'M WRITING???? I knew I could count on you....even if it's like two weeks later because I am nothing if not a procrastinator. so here's a lil drabble for you babe <3 it's not my best but it is what is....

"Your shot." You smirked, looking to Jamie from across the pool table.

You were kicking his ass. He couldn't believe just a few weeks ago you had never even picked up a pool cue, and now he regretted ever suggesting the two of you check out the local bowling alley for something new.

For the past few weekends, you had been coming the the large bowling alley as your Saturday night hang out spot, since there was so much to do there. Bowling obviously, an arcade, laser tag, bar games. That first visit, he spotted the pool table excitedly. You hadn't played before and he patiently took the time to teach you how to hold the pool cue, how to angle your arm, the rules, all of it. What he didn't anticipate is you picking up on it so quickly.

"You're really enjoying this, aren't you." He playfully glared, leaning against his cue. He sighed as he looked out to the many scattered striped balls on the felt, compared to your very few solid colored ones.

"Hate the game, not the player. Maybe you're just not as good as you thought you were." You shrugged, walking around to grab your drink perched on the edge of the table.

"I'm just off tonight okay, I'm good at pool!" He playfully shouted as he bent down, eyeing his best angle.

You smiled and shook your head, swigging back a sip of your...third? rum and coke. He set his cue up, leaning over the edge of the table. A few test thrusts before he whacked the white ball into his targeted striped ball. The clack of the hollow spheres ricocheting in the air as they moved around the table. You both watched as an orange striped ball sunk down into the corner pocket. Jamie threw out a victorious fist.

"Finally!" You smirked. "I was getting tired of taking my shots over and over."

He pointed the cue at you. "This is my redemption. Your ass is grass now."

You leaned back, pretending to clutch your nonexistent pearls. Sipping more of your drink, you watched him take one more successful shot before then sinking the white cue ball into a pocket. An involuntary howl of laughter escaped your throat as he tucked his head and sunk down to his knees dramatically.

"How...how did...you even manage...to fuck that up?" You said between giggles. "Like where were you even aiming?!"

"Yeah yeah..." Jamie sighed, standing back up to his feet, setting the cue against the table. "Why don't we go play air hockey or something, I know I can crush you with that." He smirked.

And he did crush you at air hockey. It must have something to do with his long arms or something, you weren't sure. Or maybe your lack of coordination from the now four rum and cokes. You sure were thirsty tonight, whoops... But he did indeed kick your ass this time.

"Ah, payback darling." He smiled, patting you on the shoulder.

You playfully shoved him, causing yourself to falter slightly in your balance, laughing as you caught yourself on the air hocky table.

"Jamie I think I'm drunk."

He laughed. "Well, you drunk or not, I still won." He booped your nose. "But hmm, best head home then, huh?"

You nodded, a stupid grin stuck to your face, feeling quite relaxed and happy from your buzz. Jamie hooked his arm with yours, exiting the bowling alley and helped you into his Land Rover. Arriving back to Jamie's apartment, you both got out of the car in his parking garage. You both walked around to the back of the vehicle, and you rustled around in your bag for your car keys. Jamie's hand quickly came down over yours.

"Nope! You're staying here for as long as I think you need to. No way you're driving yourself home." He locked his car, with the beep echoing throughout the garage. "Are you hungry? Wanna get some Thai food or something?"

"Yes!" You blurted excitedly. "I'm starving."

Entering Jamie's apartment, you bounced yourself down on to the sofa, sprawling out momentarily before sitting back up. Jamie tossed his keys on to the table by the door and plopped down next to you. You hovered over his shoulder as he pulled out his phone and opened UberEats for you both to select what your stomachs desired.

"I can venmo you for-"

"Shhh, nope." He held his finger up to silence you. "No need."

"Oh, okay Mr. Stranger Things money..." You grinned.

"Yeah, this food's courtesy of Vecna." He winked, leaning over to grab the TV remote. "What do you want to watch?"

"Oooh, let's watch The VVitch!" You gently patted his shoulder.

"Hell yeah!" He agreed.

He queued up the movie and you both curled up under a blanket next to each other awaiting your food. When it arrived, he went to grab it from the delivery person. You both resumed your positions on the couch, both devouring your meals with a haphazard animalistic fury that you wouldn't dare showcase to anyone besides each other.

With bellies full, you settled back into each other under the blanket to finish the movie. Though, you wouldn't see the ending of it. Between the buzz of the alcohol wearing off, now quickly careening into heavy drowsiness, as well as the food coma rising up through your body, your eyes were putting up a hell of a fight to close. It was a battle you lost, as Jamie soon felt your head limp on his shoulder, and the quiet, slow breathing of someone in deep slumber. He smiled softly to himself, pulling the blanket up further around you. Clicking the TV off, he ever so gently reached over to flick off the table lamp. Leaning his head against yours on his shoulder, he soon joined you in sleep.

In the morning, you awoke first. Jamie was slumped over, his head on the armrest, an arm around you. You were slumped over him, against his chest. You sat up, rubbing your eyes. Jamie felt you stirring and slowly awoke as well. He stretched his arm upward, letting out a soft groan.

"G'morning." You yawned. "I fell asleep first, didn't I?"

Jamie sat up, rubbing his neck. "Mhm, sure did." He winced, turning his neck from side to side.

"Why didn't you go up to your bed, dingus?" You chuckled through another yawn.

"You fell asleep on my shoulder, I didn't want to wake you." He shrugged.

You gave him a soft pout. "Aww...you're so sweet sometimes." You smiled.

"Yeah...but don't let that get around." He winked.

There was a brief moment of silence that hung in the air as you both let the sleepiness fade away. A few more stretches and yawns between the two of you. Then, you both turned to each other.

"Brunch?" You said in sync, before bursting into laughter.

"Get your keys. You drive, I'm buying this time." You shoved him playfully.

OK TOUCHSTARVED DEMO REVIEW!! I JUST FOUND OUT THIS EXISTED YESTERDAY AND STARTED PLAYING

So I was scrolling through tiktok and got THE video of the trailer, immediately started playing which is surprising from me because I normally only procrastinate for everything, even for things I like. But yesterday was a good day it seems.

I started the game and after the short intro selected "the unnamed" backstory I think it's called?? I don't really remember but it was the one where you ran away from your cult village or whatever. For two reasons.

A. I didn't want to have exclusively witty one liners as my dialogue. (The criminal backstory)

B. I'm already playing the arcana (the mage backstory)

Of course I'll play the demo with each one of them later but rn I'm doing various play throughs with variations of what I feel like my own choices would be.

Now for how I like it overall, IT'S SO GOOOOODD!!! I loved everyone just from the trailer alone, everyone except vere, I just really hate his archetype. Let's say me and red haired otome guys have a long time beef, ancestral beef if you will (I'm looking at you castiel...). I just don't like the playboy who is also really mean for no reason and only flirts by making a fool out of you. Anyways, enough about someone I don't really like.

First KURAS, he's soooo my type 🤭 long hair, dark skin, calm and collected! Soo cute, I like his dialogue and interactions in the demo, I haven't unlocked his red option so I feel like he was a little too distant for my liking but I know that'll probably change with the full game (I assume he has one, I mean I got ais' and leander's without even trying).

Now Ais, tbh I tried to stay loyal to kuras but Ais is so hot, cool and kinda flirty... I WAS GIGGLING SO LOUD AND PUNCHING MY PILLOWS, I'm not always for bad boys bc it isn't really done right most of the time (in my opinion) but Ais is really something else.

And lastly Leander, he's hot and sweet, I don't really have much to say about him, I can tell he's the easiest route, at least for me. He's the type of character I can get the good ending of with my eyes closed. I mean we might as well be kissing him by the end of the demo. I still like him tho. I'm just more normal about him than I am about Kuras and Ais. And I can already see him being a fan favorite, so I better like him because all those fanarts are about to infest my feed.

As for mhin and vere. They're not really that interesting to me, I'd say my top would be like this

Art Quality? 9.5/10 soo pretty, the street and city sheets could use a bit more work though. It's kind of underwhelming at the beginning when you see the city and it doesn't really stand out. But maybe it's just me.

Dialogue quality? 9/10 it doesn't feel repetitive, it's immersive and even when there's some corny lines here and there, I'd say it's vere's fault for being a devious bad boy archetype. Because that dialogue is only present with him 🧍‍♀️

And that's it. Even with the wall of text I just wrote I've only played once three routes with the cult(?) Backstory. I will probably write more text walls as I get deeper into the fandom and game.
