I was about to be his biggest fan..I am heartbroken…Cole Brings Plenty was not only beautiful on the outside, but just as beautiful on the inside…He was so extremely important..We need more people in our generation (I’m 33) who are revitalizing and rediscovering their culture and heritage. Cole Brings Plenty set an example for those of us with indigenous blood. I will never forget him. Long Live Cole Brings Plenty. You’ll always have my heart ❤️🪶💔

Cole Brings Plenty’s death was said to show “no signs of foul play”, ruled as a suicide, and the case was closed. I’ve seen from several sources they also tried to say it was a cardiac event. Alexis Zabala openly admitted to having something to do with his disappearance in a Facebook comment section. Her own cousin went to the police and they brushed her off and kept diverting to the DV allegations against Cole. Stand with us in demanding a thorough investigation and share this petition!!

his braids werent cut <- member of the family. we have his body and his hair is still there. please do not spread misinformation. its wrong and insensitive af. we havent even buried him yet....
i know for a fact you aren’t a member of his family. it was reported that when he was found, his braids had been chopped off.
pretending to be a member of his family is insensitive and wrong.
the fact you’re even insinuating that his hair wasn’t cut — something as serious as that to the native american community — is appalling.
if you were actually a member of his family, you wouldn’t be contacting me, someone with as small of a platform as i do — you’d be contacting the police to get the justice cole deserves and to overrule the faulty declaration they made about his death. it was a hate crime, not an accident.

Please, please, please, if you have a moment and feel so inclined, sign this petition. This poor man didn't deserve what happened to him. His sister didn't either. His parents should not have had to bury a child, much less both of them. Demand justice for the Brings Plenty family. PLEASE! Braid your hair if you're able to show your respect and sympathy. Please don't let the system fail yet another native brother.

god im fucking crying in my room from memorial after memorial tiktok dedicated to cole brings plenty. it's just so fucking inhumane how he was killed and violated, and the fact he was killer in a similar manner to his murdered sister?
i only hope that the brings plenty family gets a break and some sense of closure. he was 27, we shouldn't have to be referring to him or his sister in the past tense.

Just a reminder for people cause I haven't seen many peope posting about it:
If you can, please braid your hair today (4/8/24) in honor of Cole Brings Plenty. Cole was a Lakota actor who was assaulted and had his hair cut. Shortly after, he went missing and was later found dead. It's likely that he was murdered, though details haven't been released yet. Rising Hearts has asked that everyone, indigenous or not, wear braids to honor him and remember those that have suffered the same.
If you can't braid your hair, then share posts of others!
Now is also a good time to share some support to indigenous charities, if you're able

I could imagine Olrox singing one of his people's songs softly while gently petting the reader's hair softly. Tears fell like dewdrops as he remembered the days his people were free.
Imagine singing a soft song of mourning that is permanently printed into his mind as his people grieve over the Spaniards, robbing them of their land and treating them as if they weren't human.
(Sobbing over the loss of Cole, I could only hope he can soar high with the eagles, run fast with the mustangs, and enjoy the freedom of the fields of endless grass with his ancestors)

I am attending my first powwow since I was about eight years old. And when it is time for intertribal dance, I will not only dance for myself but for Cole. I will keep his spirit alive and dance for him and wear my braids proudly. Who knows, I might even acquire a new spirit name. Yes I got a spirit name when I was eight but I don't remember what it is.

IMPORTANT
PLEASE SHARE FROM THE FAMILY OF
COLE BRINGS PLENTY
!! Joseph 'Joe" Brings Plenty, Sr. respectfully requests that anyone who has created merchandise featuring his son Cole's name, face, image, or likeness and is selling it please stop. No one has spoken to Joe, and he is unaware of anyone speaking to any family member about it. Even if someone had, Joe would have kindly asked them not to, as his son's passing is not and should not be an opportunity to make money.
!! Mo Brings Plenty has never contacted anyone through direct messages on any
social media platform. We want to remind everyone that the people posing as Mo will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to gain your trust and/or sympathy, but it's all a scam. If you trust anything, trust this Mo does not, has not, and will never use direct messages to contact people. If you think you have been speaking to Mo, you haven't; the frauds are using 'sympathy; to ask for money.
!! We know some will not honor the family's wishes that they not sell merchandise.
Like we know, despite our repeated statements that Mo does not engage in direct messaging, some still mistakenly believe otherwise.
All we can do is urge everyone not to purchase or believe. Thank you.
