Alexio’s take on You Are My Heart, Prompt 207 in EXO Free Love AU 2017 (July 2021)

It was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. 

It started off very bleak for kaisoo. Kyungsoo was heartbroken at the state of their relationship, or lack thereof, but it all disappeared when his best friend was at his doorstep crying after his bad breakup with Baekhyun. Cold and miserable were the both of them. 

Jongin had it for him literally. It was almost winter and sleeping in his car, well it seemed too cold to do so. Miserable, of course, because of the way things ended with Baekhyun. 

Kyungsoo wore bleak figuratively, where he had his heart set on one person, he felt miserable because that person may not want him the same way. And figuratively cold at the lack of warm love in his life. 

And because of their situation, I felt sad and dispirited, but I had to continue reading, well, because this was just 1/6 parts of their love story. Something will definitely have to change, and at this point, I'd take anything that the author offers to kaisoo, because oh my, it was painful seeing my two lovers like this.

I felt a bit skeptical but at the same time, hopeful about their relationship. 

Skeptical because it feels like Kyungsoo has to walk on eggshells, where we do not know what, when something is said carelessly and in passing, will trigger Jongin. 

An example of when Kyungsoo said Jongin can play househusband after his birthday, which was said carelessly, in passing, and triggered Jongin to remember why his relationship with Baekhyun failed.

But i definitely feel hopeful because after the mini party with the rest of their friends, Kyungsoo prepares a bath for Jongin who he knew would be tired from socialising. Kyungsoo’s awareness of Jongin’s needs is something that he uses to comfort Jongin even as the relationship progresses.

Yes from what we saw and analyzed. If they're not okay we would see it on Ji's face during his lives or he would disappear completely ( like how he did in kaistal era or Jenkai era or when he broke his leg and couldn't perform or when Soo enlisted) and he wouldn't be happy and cheerful during his lives where he was only laughing and being cheerful and genuinely showing us his house and disappearing for a long ass period when Ksoo was discharged. 💁🏻‍♀️

I mean if you fought with just your bestie or a dear family member, people would notice ! That you are not okay and something is going on?🤷🏻‍♀️ And they would ask you if everything is okay! Let alone when you fight with your other half your partner your lover the love of your life! Do you think you could be experiencing a breakup after an amazing 10 years relationship then do tons of lives where you are genuinely happy and always cheerful and laughing all the time telling fans to be happy coz you're happy! And swearing that you're happy and genuinely satisfied with your life when your fans keep pestering you with "Are you happy?" questions??

Ji is an open book he is very easy to read, when he is not okay you would know it no matter how much the show or the IG Live are scripted and manipulated and no matter how hard he tired to hide it, he can't! We know he is a terrible liar and terrible at hiding his feelings. On the other hand ksoo and other members are better in hiding their distress but not always, Chanyeol is also the type to be easily seen through! He is so transparent.

So of Ji was in a difficult period after breaking up with the love of his life with whom he spent his best 10 years of his youth,...do you think he would do tons of lives and be overly active and all happy and cheerful especially when Soo got discharged?? During that period he was the happiest and he even disappeared for along time when Soo got discharged 1 month earlier than his actual date of discharge in January 25th, and after that Ji came back as healthy and happy and ever! He was happy even before Ksoo's enlistment thats when all fans were all so suddenly amazed at how happy and cheerful he became, coz he knew his Bae would be discharged soon and I'm sure Ksoo was with him during his promotions supporting him, thats what explained his happiness, both his Solo debut and his Jagi coming back and supporting him during his promotions in December. He even kept telling fans that what matters is happiness and that he is so happy recently and wants them to be happy with him! And he was genuinely reminding and repeating to fans on his lysn bubble and IG lives that he is extremely happy these days, even in his Solo Promotions he wrote in his signed albums messages to fans asking them to be happy like how he is extremely happy! Coz Ksoo got discharged earlier in December becoz of Corona new rules and spent his one month vacation with his family and I'm sure he spent it with Ji coz that was the period when Ji suddenly disappeared even tho his album was just out still he took his time with Soo in the middle of his promotions period, I'm sure he scheduled for his promotions to end before Ksoo's discharge to be Able to spend time with him . Many days after he came back as happy as ever!

And if we come to compare this late 2020 and early 2021 with the second half of 2019 and the whole 2020 year til before his album release, we were able to see how Ji was sad and not the cheerful boy he is now, in his lives he was often off and always hangs out with his squad and do IG lives with them to cheer up! Let's not forget Ji disappeared for two months after Ksoo's enlistment and if it weren't for SupeM debut that he was forced to appear again to promote for the debut, I'm sure he wouldn't have appeared on SNS. We all know the drama that happened btw him and Soo in 2019 bcoz of Ksoo's sudden enlistment that he didn't discuss with him nor with the members not even with the company, and the members confirmed that when they said Ksoo came to them all of a sudden and said he was enlisting as if he said he was going out for a café with some friends and coming back later. Baek said that.

So he seemed cheerful since Ksoo got discharged as I said above and now we got to See kaisoo happy and all lovey-dovey so we assumed their relationship is stable. Coz no one would be all happy and touchy with his Ex that he loved for 10 years and just broke up with! If they broke up or had problems in their relationship we would notice it on Ji! Coz it's impossible for him to just forget a 10 years relationship in a span of few weeks and be all fine and cool with the breakup and be extremely and genuinely happy in his IG lives, while assuring and promising EXOL that he is fine and extremely happy recently when they kept pestering him with the question "Are you really happy?" I knew it wasn't scripted coz he REALLY REALLY looked happy! Like genuinely happy.

No one can get over a 10years relationship easily in a matter of few months and be all cheerful and happy. So they were stable, we assumed.

Sometimes we don't need to be told things if we can just analyse with our eyes and logic. If we gather the info that we're sure about in the past! Which we saw evidence of! I can't believe that there are people claiming that kaisoo have broken up just because they have recently been vacationing with their respective friends and have not been spotted spending time together. Wow....

Like....are people insane?! Exo haven't had a schedule with all of the members present in so long (with the exception of xiumin's enlistment concert). How are we expected to see kaisoo interact when we haven't seen them spend much time together....? I'm amazed that not seeing kaisoo together means that they have broken up.

They are a gay couple in South Korea who have probably been told countless times that they are too obvious about their relationship. So, the fact that they aren't advertising the time they spend together doesn't surprise me at all. Also, why should they make it public when they spend time with each other?

They have probably been together for at least eight years, they most likely are so comfortable in their relationship that they don't need to go on cutesy dates to enjoy themselves. I'm sure a night in with kyungsoo's cooking and jongin's abs is all they need to have a good time 😏. Soooooo I don't see how you can connect the fact that they aren't making googly eyes to each other in front of cameras equates to them having broken up.

They aren't in a publicity relationship where they are using each other for fame and popularity like other celebrity couples do. Their love is deep, mutual and private. The snippets of their relationship that we are blessed with are a gift because they feel comfortable around us, their fans. They do not owe us in any way.

People are entitled to think what they like and assume kaisoo have broken up. I guarantee that kaisoo will remain unbothered by it and that their love will continue to grow. I never had any opinion about Kaistal because I joined the fandom late and was already into the EXO ships by the time I found out about the dating news. I'd like to believe that Kaistal really dated and they broke up on amicable terms. And irrespective of whether or not they dated it's really annoying that people are laughing and celebrating this. Whether you believe or not in the Kaistal relationship being real, this news going public is going to weigh on Jongin (and Krystal). He'll have to deal with all the comments and lack of privacy and I just don't think he'd feel that good about people laughing about this while he has to deal with the media attention. On a side note I'm hoping for some new Kaisoo fics. I know a lot of people stopped writing for this ship and many even deleted their works (*sobs*) but now it should be fair territory! In no way is what I type facts, and I am NOT comparing burning sun case with jxk (jxk is so insignificant and jxk is not a criminal case) yet I will make references to what the media and companies are capable of doing as proven by the exposure from the b. sun case regarding similar behaviours.

The truth:

We finally realize for sure that in korean ent. industry, sexual favours (in exchange for sponsors, promotion via media manipulation, basically fame and safety), offering prostitutes services... all in all using SEX is commonly used in return for connections / power / protection from the 'higher ups'.

why did jxk happen?

I propose: to cover yg x jni sex/sexual activities and jni has sponsors rumours (updated). After knowing yg is to a certain degree (personal assumption: large extent) involved in B.Sun and gangnam clubs, it makes sense to suspect that the jni rumour could be real. look up yg's past history, how he obtained his wife (emphasis, obtain). 12 years older yg 'fell in love' the moment he saw his wife as a second year middle school girl, recruited her at 16, ruined her career and married her. who knows how exactly yg treats his younger girl employees? Who is there to protect them?

but its just a 'groundless' rumour why was yg desperate?

to propose reasons: 1) it could be real, if so he HAS to camouflage it before it blows up further. 2) even if its not real, he didnt want to put bp's and his own name's reputation at stakes since bp is his most money earning group right now 3) if he doesnt make a deal with dispatch, who ofc are capable of digging deeper and they hate yg (proven by their ability to obtain kkt chats and exposing b.sun evidences) to supply them a fake scandal to cover ygxjni... dispatch WILL expose him. (also keep in mind jni has other sponsor rumour that might or not be true). and 4) - suggested by anon: yg could be taking precautions before b.sun scandal blows up. As we know b.sun revolves around sex crimes, Yg must get rid of the 'boss had sex with employee' label before b.sun blows up. Or else he will get dragged, it would be like adding oil on fire.

this theory is reinforced by allshitpop stating a media outlet discriminately announced 'the yg x jni rumour was false.' why purposefully mention it when no one asked?

but why ji?

main reason: hes an artist from sm. Yg desperately needed a scandal impacting enough to satisfy dispatch (releasing small unconvincing sandals will discredit dispatch's liability and reputation. ) But what to do when none of yg's male artists are popular enough to create a fuss nor any male groups's careers mature and stable enough to withstand the scandal pressure from the general public? the obvious solution is ofc to beg other big companies - sm or bighxt.

Most popular boy groups atm is still btx and ekso. honestly yg wouldve prefered btx due to their crazy fame, and jni will be their first dating scandal... the reactions would be DRAMATIC. yet in contrast to ekso, btx didnt really need to take that risk in hopes for more popularity. (rmb there would always be adverse effects when being involved in a dating scandal despite positive reactions and large no. of supporters). Also, even if btx has any scandals to cover, bighxt's recent merge with cj-enm (described as 'a powerhouse' aka very huge powerful company) means btx's any potential scandals can be taken care of for now. so that leaves ekso.

Who in ekso fits ji's image the most?

(hence will recieve 'positive' reactions and make them more aesthetically believable. without a doubt, its ji and his on going promoted sex appeal.) Reasons for ji and not other members: 1. theres no harm in giving him a beard (personal belief, ignore point 1. if you think homosexuality/kaisoo pairing isn't plausible) 2. to raise his popularity for his potential upcoming solo. 3. if someone who was involved in dating scandal before came up again, they probably predicts the pairing to be more positively recieved --> more supportors and a more hyped response from the public.

but none of that happened, the scandal was managed poorly. The paris evidence was made in a rush (dates didnt match) park pictures were too ambiguous (again dates and time didnt match), even when dispatch posted a pic of ji in a carpark supposedly came back from hawaii to give jni presents after landing - we learned from ji's own ig live that the day he wore the outfit in the photo, he had already returned to korea a few days ago, was around town shopping and went no where near the airport. Besides these failed attempts there was absolutely no other proof that jxk is real.

why was it poorly managed?

bc this is a rare collab between two big rival companies. Yg was the one begging at the start yet sm wasnt able to take full control of this scandal. Conflicts and disagreements upon makng many decisions were highly likely to occur between these two rivals.

The break up

a lot of fans were shocked when jxk broke up just after 25 days. (brand new record). what else is weird?

sm personally confirmed jxk broke up abruptly. Usually when couples break up, fan rumours start to float around first. But not this time, no rumours surfaced yet sm all of a sudden definitively stated that jxk broke up. Back then I already predicted it maybe because yg or bp got into trouble hence sm wanted to distance themselves as far as possible. I still stand by that idea.

Sm must get away from yg and b.sun case for the sake of theirs/ekso's reputation. sm def dont want to be dragged into the mess. Remember, sm as a huge company themselves def have their own dirt to hide, getting dragged means huge consequences if the investigators target them.

so why did sm agree in the first place? I assume its bc altho sm knew that yg had dirt to hide, they did not know it was something as serious, severe and big as b.sun case / tax evading case. Therefore, what are the coincidences that sm announced breakup shortly before dispatch sparked reinvestigation into b.sun by posting crucial evidences? (the first chats)

its highly possible that dispatch warned sm, (which makes them sound like the good guys but no. remember sm is dispatch's source of money and partnered with them many times. b.sun indeed aint directly related to sm, (as for now) dispatch has no reason to ruin sm) Or, sm could have found out through other sources that b.sun case will blow up soon. they quickly cut their collab with yg early, and announced break up probably without telling yg first. (since telling them possibly means giving dispatch away).

this also suggests that dispatch hates yg but anyway.

The benefits of ji

Comparing the two, jni seems to be the one who gained more from the scandal. She got most of media and the public's attention. there is an explanation for this - shes the 'rookier' one, and the trendier one out if the two since bp is still rising when ekso has reached their plateau. However, ji did gain his own lesser share of attention (indicated by the gained followers on his ig).

I have always said that when idols agree to be involved in a scandal, they are likely to get a 'reward.' but now thinking about it, agreeing to scandals is part of ji's contract, rewards are bonus but not obligations. Besides, the scandal itself supposedly helps ji gain popularity for solo and gains a beard, sm didnt NEED to give him more bonus. Often when idols get more modelling jobs / solo etc after scandals is bc sm uses the risen populairty from scandal as an opportunity to maximise profit by giving them more jobs, it might not be bc sm wants 'pamper' them.

Plan cut short

unfortunately for ji who is not getting his solo soon, the jxk plan flopped due to poor management, and was cut short due to b.sun case. The scandal did not fulfill what it was supposed to do and ended prematurely . Followed by the apparent troubles in sm negotiating contract terms with ekso, (delayed ekso schedules),chxn suddenly getting a solo, and the blowing up of b.sun case, ji might have missed his chance again. Or hes simply still preparing.

to summarize i want to clarify a few things.

- none of these are facts, but an overall picture forming one huge speculation.

- I dont try to defame bp or shame them. i also am not trying to state that girl artists def had sex with the hihgher ups. b.sun has shown us that men always have more power over women, and they rarely get protection.

- I want people to realize the dark side of kpop. The kpop industry is full of conspiracies, media manipulation and lies. What you see on tv is not who your idols are portrayed to be on camera. Don't impose your ideal vision on them and hurt others when reality suggests otherwise.

side note: this theory conveyed reinforcement to statements I've made before

- conspiracies are real and true. Look at all the dark and shady events involved in b.sun case

- media play, mass manipulation exist and are common practice.

- dispatch and sm collab and are partners on a case by case basis.

- idols lie on interviews all the time, their tv persona is different from the real them.

- companies offer protection for their idols

- it is indeed common practice to use one scandal to cover another

ANYTHING can happen in the world of the k ent industry. dont lightly dismiss any possibilities. We must analyse the sum of the situations - the full picture of any events before believing anything we are told.

Kaisoo Tarot Part 2 (Couple Reading)

After my last reading on Kaisoo, I had a bunch of requests to do a reading of them as specifically a romantic couple, and I admit I wanted to do this as well, as I just kind of wasn’t feeling the last reading I got on them. Individually I was happy with what I read, but together, not so much, and I wanted to know more. I apologize for the delay in getting this out to you guys, and also tell those of you that asked for personal readings that I’ll be getting in touch with you about that over the weekend. Today’s pretty busy but I may be able to get to one person’s. We’ll see, but please know I’m not ignoring you!

The usual disclaimer applies: that tarot is inexact and based on feelings and not facts and all that stuff. You can choose to believe it or not, or interpret it many different ways. These are just my thoughts. The book I’ve been using recently is Modern Tarot by Michelle Tea. If you’re interested in tarot, I think it’s a pretty awesome, no-nonsense approach to tarot, although there are tons of good books and resources out there. Michelle Tea just writes in language that resonates with me for whatever reason.

Now, the Kaisoo reading. Once again, I used Yixing’s cards, because I liked the connection between him and Kaisoo, and the fact that he’s between them on stage when he’s there. This time, as I shuffled the cards I did focus on Kyungsoo and Jongin as a romantic unit, a couple. I wanted to see if I could get any feeling as to whether they are for sure a real couple, and I definitely did get that feeling.

The first card I pulled was XVI – The Tower. Now, this is a fucking scary card, I won’t lie, and I wasn’t happy to have pulled it. I didn’t think it was a good beginning. The Tower is the card of change, of sudden, unexpected and often painful change. As we all know, change can be pretty scary, but sometimes it’s necessary. This card often comes up when you’re stuck in a rut and need to change something about your life or your situation. This card can come up for people who are contemplating divorce, quitting their job, or something of the like. Obviously, I didn’t want to think about this in the context of Kaisoo, because for me the thing that jumped out was a possible breakup of their relationship. But I took a minute and thought about it, and read the information again. On the second reading of the card information, I noticed a few mentions of a revelation, of experiencing sudden clarity. And I remembered that the Tower means change, but that not all interpretations of change are bad. I thought about it in the context of how Kaisoo have been acting with each other the last several months (being very affectionate out in the open and seemingly not really giving any fucks, and that the other members, who usually try to kind of jump in front of them, seemed content to just let them have their affection and their happiness), and it made me wonder if the change in their relationship wasn’t a breakup but a marriage or possibly an engagement. They’re certainly acting like a couple who just celebrated some big event, don’t you think? The last thing the book mentioned was that the tower brings down things that need to go. I wondered if the thing that needed to go was hesitation in showing their affection for each other, especially on Kyungsoo’s part. Jongin’s always been pretty open with how he feels about Soo, but sometimes Soo’s a little harder to get a read on. These last few months, though, it’s been very equal or maybe even a little skewed to Soo being more affectionate.

The second card I pulled was XIV – Temperance, and I have to admit I immediately went ‘aha!’ because this card is often referred to as being important to LGBT+ people. One interpretation of who this card represents is Hermaphroditus, who can be regarded as a patron deity for effeminate men, androgynous people in general, and anyone who defies gender norms. I immediately was able to draw connections here, with Jongin’s obvious love for Kyungsoo and how soft he is generally being such a contrast to his stage persona of Kai, the overly sexy, super-manly (and very straight) image he projects. I also had some feelings about how Kyungsoo always protests that he isn’t cute even though he obviously is, and how it seems like he’s having a more manly (again, straight) image pushed on him the last few years as his acting career has become more of a focus for him. This card talks about how a new day has dawned, how people who are defying these gender norms or fit into various LGBT+ categories can work on healing themselves by not defying those norms any longer, and how it’s time to slow down and chill out. I took this to be a reference to their recent open affection as well. Interestingly, this card also talks about collaborations (Kaisoo subunit which Jongin, at the very least, has mentioned wanting very badly?). It also mentions events like engagements or weddings, so that’s the second time I’ve gotten a wedding vibe in this reading. Does married or engaged Kaisoo sound like a theme here to anyone else?

The third card I pulled was VIII – Strength. I was happy to pull this card, especially following the Tower. Also, in combination with Temperance, I thought this card made a lot of sense. It talks about bringing feelings under control, but in a loving and validating way. It talks about not leaving important things out, and that you need to correct the proportions of your life, i.e. if your career is too much the focus then refocusing on your personal relationships. I wondered if Soo’s acting career had caused any jealousy on Jongin’s part, not because he was jealous of the recognition Soo was getting (because I don’t think Jongin would ever want to deny Soo anything) but simply because of the demands on Soo’s time that the filming and all the promotion had caused. So I wondered if the extra affectionate Soo we’ve been seeing had anything to do with that. This card talks about bringing any energy that’s out of whack under control so you’re able to seize whatever opportunities come your way. Again, maybe the Kaisoo subunit? This card talks about being able to have autonomy in your life, and a truly rapturous love based on mutual benefit and understanding. This card doesn’t talk about change in that relationship, but that it will continue as it was if you can get whatever imbalance there is worked out. I took this to mean that Kaisoo have been together a long time and that there was no reason that couldn’t continue, but that they might have to adjust a bit because of their increasing individual schedules, and cherish more the time they’re allowed to spend together.

I don’t 100% understand your question BUT I am pretty sure about them. I mean, it’s only cb I know 614% but I’m quite opinionated on kaisoo. Scandals are a typical part of being an idol and lots of couples get through them. Cb did. And I think they are pretty laid back. Yeah, Ksoo’s quite possessive and a little jealous but Nini doesn’t really bring that out much I don’t think. Since they’re both homebodies most of their time together is spent at home. I mean, this is my opinion, of course

Thank you for your words about me. Those times back then were like a rollercoaster, but there were fun aspects of it.

And talking about KD now, my thoughts about them in 2018: from what is seen, things are pretty much the same, but in a good aspect. I think a lot of stuff that were mentioned years ago can still be mentioned now about them (their dynamics, etcetc). I think that what changed (at least visually to the outside world) is how both of them have their own projects. And believe me, that’s really good! When things were a rollercoaster back then, only KS had projects going on on his life. Meanwhile, JI was in a state that breaks my heart until this day every time I remember it.

But, after the fatidic “breakup”, he reborn like a phoenix! Doing dramas, photoshoots, appearing in fashion weeks, the Olympics, he even has an instagram to communicate with the fans! They are really busy individually and exo didn’t have a comeback in a while, since they were focused on their concert, etc. But it doesn’t seem like their dynamics changed at all. The fact that he’s active, that he’s not associated with dating scandals changed JI in a good way, and it made his contact with other members better, especially with KS. Ok, there’s this new Japanese book/magazine about them and it’s super cute, but it reminds me of the same bs they had before with pairing them commercially (except now there’s no videos about it like on that DVD loool. And it’s made to Japanese public), but yes. Both seems to be doing well and it makes me proud af.

I don’t think we will be back to those days of uncertainty and drama involving one of them dating (in this case fake dating). Their careers are going well and in this case, you don’t need to call the attention to them with bad promotion. Which is really good news! Both of them deserve good energies in their lives!

I’m sorry if you told it already, but can you say the actual time when ksoo and Jongin had a break up? I mean timeline? I’m really curious, since I can’t tell it by their behavior. :/

It was during 2015 and 2016 kai/stal era and 2019 enlistment era where Ksoo and Ji went on diffrent trips, Ji with his squad went to Cebu in philippines, Ji was sad back then coz Jen/kai and Ksoo applying for enlistment (and that's a long post go check it on our blog)and Ksoo went with Chan/yeol two times or three to japan then again to japan with and his actor Hyungs squad, They had big serious fights where they had to take breaks especially during 2019 and the ins/ung jealousy issue when in/sung tried convincing Ksoo to leave SM and join his acting company. That was prolly the biggest fight then came the one where they had to go on separate trips in 2019 after jenkai and becoz of Ksoo's enlistment application without discussing it with Ji, too.

And that is something everyone knows from their behavior back in the years. Also rumors about them not getting along flew around a lot back then. Fans even started saying Ji hates ksoo and Ksoo is treating Ji bad ( I personally heard that from Ji solo stans (koreans especially were hating on Ksoo for being cold to Ji), and ksoo solo stans were fighting with Ji solo stans coz they insulted Ji for being bad to Ksoo and even rumors of Ji hurting ksoo emerged back then and Ksoo solo stans acted as the softie fans and started hating on Ji claiming they're protecting Ksoo when they went insulting him in his IG lives and posts back in 2019/2020.

Hello there, I've been seeing the ask you're getting from anon and felt like barging in because, this drama happened back during be positive and pushover people started jumping into conclusion and saying SM will put DO in a fake relationship to cover for the gay couple. SM doesn’t need to cover the gay couple anymore, and has already linked to it back in 2017 if i remember after kaistal breakup news. As for DO he’s obliged to play kind to his costars because SK has manners sick policy and people with get shit for a mere misunderstood frown. While with EXO he can be himself and speak his mind. Plus, Suho, and Xiumin didn’t assist to wedding too!

finally the anon talked about ff writers and i was like biiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch, there’s a lot of kaisoo writers who joined the fandom recently. Kaisoo is still exo’s #1 otp. We don’t have to assume thing just because some writers decided to move on with there life because they’re supposedly veteran!? like i can rec to you some new mind blowing kaisoo writers you’ll probably hate the days you lived before them XD.
