It was just too doggone bright today
Alls I did today was play Side Order before and after band, but my partner was big productive and it was nice to see her feeling good for a full day. She'll normally get hit with some kind of depression wave at some point in the day but not today bitch!!! Im so sleepy idk how to construct sentences or articulate thoughts
Side Order
Uhrm
My Kanji of Da Day is 下, and just like with 上 the kun pronunciation immediately did not line up with the extremely common word its used in lol. But now I know 上がる and 下がる, to go up and to go down. Thank you 3 stroke kanji. Im so sleepy I gotta stop typing now

Frost Dream - Lyrics + Translation
Tumblr media
Please do not repost/retranslate without permission.
Kanji:
くるりくるり舞えよフロストフラワー
魂の欠片映して踊れ Satisfaction
Entwine
Reconnection
傷が瘡蓋(かさぶた)になっても
紡いだ時間は続くこと
どこかで信じ求めている
Undo

Translation:
Twirl round and round, frost flower
Reflect the fragments of your soul and dance, Satisfaction
A vibrant scenery etched into my mind, painted with tears
If I accept fate, like ice
Each time it freezes over, a sequence of increasingly stronger feelings
Plays in my sharpened heart
With the personas I switch between,
Lies and truths are as you see fit
A unison of two sides of the same coin
Entwines, deceiving and being deceived
The dizzying days swing towards an unending dream
Before we know it, we are drawn to each other and captivated
We can’t resist the blend of newly born stimuli
The answer within is “As your heart desires”
There's nothing bad in starting with what is given to you
So that the frozen blade of sadness can melt away,
I will convey only the true heat of joy
The released constraints once again
Take a new form, Reconnection
Even if the wounds become scabs,
Somewhere deep inside I believe and wish that
The time we've spun will continue
I don't need to be able to Undo
Oh, ever-turning world! Let us offer you
A sentiment of wishing there is no end
I vow to make this place shine in its entirety
With a precious sigh filled with love
And the best smile, let’s reach greater heights
The dizzying days swing. An unending dream
Is the ruse of a fleeting moment, like an illusion
But even so, the history engraved in my heart will never die
It’s a sure and unerasable proof of our connection
Now, let’s move on to the next turn of our dance’s song
Let us offer to the ever-turning world
A sentiment of wishing there is no end
I vow to shine brighter than anyone, with an unlimited radiance
The answer within is “As your heart desires”
It’s a promise. Let’s end with a flourish

Japanese Prefectures: Kantō - Saitama
都道府県 (とどうふけん) - Prefectures of Japan
Learning the kanji and a little bit about each of Japan’s 47 prefectures!
Kanji・漢字

Prefectural Capital (県庁所在地) : Saitama City (さいたま市)
Tumblr media
Saitama is Tokyo's neighbor to the north. Much of southeastern Saitama is considered a suburb of Tokyo, but the western parts are mostly rural with mountainous forested areas, and include a castle town and the Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. Saitama has historically been a fertile agricultural region and is currently the major food supplier for the metropolitan area of Greater Tokyo. Some of the first currency in Japan came from copper discovered in the Chichibu area in the 8th century. Saitama's central location has made it a historical hub for transportation to all parts of Eastern Japan, and the modern radial roads and railroad system are designed for ease of transportation to all parts of Japan. Saitama is also the backdrop to the famous Miyazaki Hayao (Studio Ghibli) film "My Neighbor Totoro."
Recommended Tourist Spot・おすすめ観光スポット Kawagoe - 川越
Tumblr media
Kawagoe
The Edo-period castle town of Kawagoe is also known as Ko-edo (小江戸 or "Little Edo") because of its many traditional buildings dating from the Edo period. The streets have been maintained as-is since the Edo period (1603-1867). The weekends are the most popular times for visitors to gather here and experience the atmosphere, shops, and popular seasonal events. In the third week of October, the Kawagoe Festival is held with a parade of traditional ornate floats and a musical competition.
The Warehouse District is lined with old earthen storehouses, which are unique two-story buildings that have remained unchanged since the days when the city was a major transportation and commerce hub for Eastern Japan. The Toki no Kane, or "Bell of Time," has marked time for the town for centuries, and continues to ring four times daily. Candy Street is a street lined with stores where traditional Japanese sweets are made in the old-fashioned way.
For more recent history, the Taisho-Roman Street has old, retro western-style buildings from the Taisho and Showa areas. There are also no overhead power lines, which makes this a popular spot to shoot many Japanese period films set in these eras.
There are severable notable temples and shrines in Kawagoe, especially Kitain Temple, which was built over 1,000 years ago. This temple has 538 stone statues of Buddha, each with its own face and unique posture. No two statues look alike, and the popular belief is that there is a statue to resemble any visitor to the temple. Kawagoe Hikawa-jinja Shrine is a Shinto shrine dating back to the 6th century that boasts a torii shrine gate that is 15 metres tall. Kawagoe Kumano-jinja Shrine has fortunes, lucky charms, and also boasts the "stepping health road," which is a path to walk barefoot to stimulate the acupuncture points on the soles of your feet for health benefits.

Miso Potato (source)
Famous in the Chichibu region of Saitama, miso potatoes are a well-known winter treat in the area. This dish is similar to a baked potato covered in sweet miso sauce and is traditionally from the rural areas in the mountainous part of the prefecture. It is now a popular street stall snack that combines the sweet and savoury miso flavours with the earthy baked potato texture.

The Fallen and the Angel - Backstory Theories on Sukuna and Angel
So while I was on my home from campus one day, I was thinking back on the chapter when Angel introduced herself and Sukuna revealed that he was 'The Fallen One'. Then, a realization hit me. There are other hidden meanings and implications behind their title, and I'll go over it in this post.
WARNING: MANGA SPOILERS. PLEASE DO NOT INTERACT IF YOU ARE NOT YET CAUGHT UP WITH THE MANGA.
Tumblr media
During the Culling Games arc, we were introduced to Angel, who was inhabiting Hana Kurusu. Angel was there apparently to stop the incarnated sorcerers and to extinguish the Fallen One, Sukuna.
So why is it that Angel is so obsessed with her mission to do that to Sukuna? And what else does it mean to be 'The Fallen One'?
Here are my main theories about it:
Angel and Sukuna were part of or associated with the imperial family
Sukuna betrayed or was the disgrace the imperial family, especially the Emperor.
Sukuna defeated the clans descended from divinities.
⊹ ︶⏝⭒ ⊹ ⭒⏝︶ ⊹⊹ ︶⏝⭒ ⊹ ⭒⏝︶ ⊹⊹ ︶⏝⭒ ⊹ ⭒⏝︶ ⊹⊹ ︶⏝⭒ ⊹ ⭒⏝︶ ⊹
Here's why I think those were the case.
Angel:
Tumblr media
JJK Chapter 199 - "The Angel" is I." ("Tenshi" wa Watashi da yo)
In Japanese, Angel's name is 天使 (Tenshi). It means the messenger or envoy of heaven - basically, an angel. But there's another meaning to it.
Let me explain.
That is, a messenger or envoy of the imperial family.
天 (Ten) means heaven or sky, but it is also associated with a person.
In Japanese, if you want to refer to the Emperor of Japan, you use the word 天皇 (Ten-noo), meaning 'Heavenly Emperor.'
The Emperor.
As you can see, the Japanese in the past associated the emperor with the divinity. In fact, the Imperial Family claims that they are descendants of Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess.
So if we were to read Angel's name again 天使, we can also interpret it as her having been the messenger or envoy of the imperial family. I know I and the manga itself has mentioned that Angel was part of the Abe clan's sorcerer army, but from this we can now assume that she either wasn't originally part of the Abe clan at first, but was part of the imperial family's army; or was part of it, but she was also associated with the imperials.
One thing to note here is that even though the Abe clan was descended from a grandson of the 8th Emperor of Japan, they are not considered part of the imperial family in Heian era and are just considered nobility at this point. Angel has also mentioned that she was following God's laws, and she could be referring to the Emperor's creed since the Emperor is considered heavenly, a son of heaven.
Tumblr media
Sukuna:
Tumblr media
JJK CHAPTER 199 - "The Fallen" is I." (Daten wa Ore da)
But then, what about Sukuna?
He was referred to as 'The Fallen One', 堕天 (Daten). People have been comparing him to Lucifer or a fallen angel, someone who fell from grace. But what if I tell you that this might also mean that he was the disgrace and/or traitor of the imperial family?
Theory #1 - Disgrace of the imperial family
堕天 (Daten) literally translates to 'fallen from heaven'. Here are some implications of it:
Mazie from tiktok, tells us of how Sukuna can be related to the imperial family.
Kamino, the pronunciation of the kanji 竈 for furnace, that he says before saying fuuga is also the original name of Emperor Saga. But the kanji for Emperor Saga's original name was 神野. Emperor Saga was a renowned Chinese classics scholar and a calligrapher, though he ruled from 809 to 823 at the beginning of the Heian period, just after the capital has been moved to Heian-kyoo (present-day Kyoto).
One theory I propose is that Sukuna is a descendant of Emperor Saga through a branch family, meaning younger sons of the Emperor or grandsons who either:
Lost the succession rights, received a last name, and were demoted to nobility class. In this case, the Saga Genji line of the Minamoto clan. (Some of the clans in this royal-origin nobility class included the Abe clan, Minamoto clan, Taira clan, and Tajihi clan; but the Tajihi and Abe clans are too far in blood relations with the imperial family.)
Born to a prince, but has no succession rights.
Or worst case scenario, they starved her so she can miscarry the twins or impede their development. It is possible that Jin didn't develop properly, and so, Sukuna absorbed the dead fetus. This case is called Vanishing Twin Syndrome, and it happens in real life. As for him claiming that he ate his twin, it must be something that was ingrained to him by someone or people.
But because his mother was going to have twins, she was probably thrown out and starved from not getting used to hardships outside the imperial court.
➽──────────────❥➽──────────────❥➽─────────
As a result, he was outcast from the family along with his mother and lost their privilege as royals or nobles because he was a disgrace to the Emperor and the imperial family, and lived his life just like outlined in my backstory theory.
Theory #2:
Another alternative theory to this is that he was associated with the imperial family through a clan he was affiliated with and that clan was close with the imperials.
The closest one to be associated with the imperials was the Fujiwara family, but based on the information we know so far, he didn't seem to be associated with them until he defeated Uro's army.
But the clan we know was also closely associated with the imperials were the Sugawaras.
I have previous theorized that Sukuna used to be part of the Sugawara's army. You can read my post below:
I still strongly believe that was the case.
Here's a fun fact. Did you know that there used to be an Imperial State University in Heian Japan, called 'Daigaku-ryoo'? It is an educational institution built under the ritsuryoo system (imperial court caste system of Japan at the time) that aimed to train government administrators. The subjects taught here were math, history of Japan and China, classical Chinese works, jurisprudence (philosophy and theory of law) of Japan and China, Japanese and Chinese literature, pronunciation of words, and calligraphy.
And the Sugawaras? They were a clan famous for producing Heads of the Imperial State University (daigaku-ryoo) and Doctors of Chinese Literature & History (basically equivalent to Deans of Chinese Literature & History Department, holding PhD in those subject areas) for generations. What better clan to learn Chinese literature from than the Sugawara clan!
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Proof that Sukuna knows Chinese Literature or Classics:
Tumblr media
JJK Chapter 212
Separating and not meeting for a long time
Did you know that the word 'Enchain' Sukuna used in Japanese is inspired from 'The Books of Songs', also known as The Classics of Poetry, under the Odes of Bei? The word is found in one of the lines there written as '死生契闊,与子成説', which roughly means "In life or death, together or apart, I made a promise with you."
Enchain in Japanese is 契闊 (kee-katsu), bolded above. As a word it means the following:
Suffering from endeavour
Not meeting each other for a long time
Estrangement
Never contacting or reaching out to each other for a long while
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Plus, having high positions in the university meant strong connections with the imperial court and the imperial family. That's why, even though they lost their prestige as high nobles after Michizane was demoted due to the Fujiwaras, they still retained prestige in education. (Also, Sugawara men had also married Fujiwara women, so it's not a surprise if Gojo and Yuta both have Fujiwara blood in them).
So, if my theories that Angel used to be originally part of the imperial family's army of sorcerers before joining the Abe clan, or was associated with them as part of the Abe clan's army were true, then they could've first encountered each other at the imperial court, as well he could've met Uro during this time. Alternatively, the imperial family could've commissioned him through sending requests or orders through the Sugawaras.
Both theories can fit with Sukuna being opened to the world of nobility at court. A world of indulging in their own pleasures and satisfying their own needs, whether that be curiosity, lust, greed, or gluttony. A world of not worrying about anyone else other than themselves. I'm pretty sure that the lifestyle and norms of the nobility combined with the harshness of life of a commoner or slavds and the philosophy of Buddhism/Shinto had tremendous influence in his way of life and thinking that we are currently witnessing.
And whatever that turning point Sukuna experienced, it led to him committing jujutsu disasters and chaos in Japan and was called 堕天 (Daten), The Fallen One. He went against the order and ideas of Buddhism, and caused massive chaos and destruction. This also extends to the clans.
Let me expand on this further.
So far, the Heian era clans in JJK that we know of are, explicitly or not:
The imperial family
Fujiwara
Sugawara
Abe
As I previously mentioned, the imperial family claimed to be descended from the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu. The Abe clan were descended from the 8th Emperor, making them also the descendants of the Sun Goddess.
The Fujiwara clan have been intertwined with the imperial family, with the clan male members also marrying imperial princesses (yay, for more incest). But the clan traces its ancestry to Ame no Koyane, the God of Divine Mirror, Great Divination, & Divine Affairs. This God was one of those commanded by the Sun Goddess. So they are descended both from the Sun Goddess herself and one of the Goddess' commander Gods.
Meanwhile, the Sugawara clan claimed that they are descendants of Ame no Hohi. Ame no Hohi is the second son of the Sun Goddess. He was also the younger brother of Ame no oshihomimi, who was the first son of the Goddess and whom the imperial family was said to be descended from.
As we can see, all these four clans traced their ancestry to divinity and are related to the Sun Goddess.
Yet all of them surrendered to Sukuna, the King of Curses. It was to the extent that the Fujiwaras executed Takako Uro for the sake of appeasing him, and elevating him to the status of a God (kami).
This is another reason he's called 堕天 (Daten), 'The Fallen One'. Sukuna defeated all of their armies and caused them shame. He had defeated the Divinities.
Realizing how he might be connected to the Sugawaras, makes the Gojo vs Sukuna fight more comical. Who would've known that Sukuna have fought the descendant of his Lord?
Tumblr media
Anyways, that's all from me. Until then.

A3! Song Translation - Ticket
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TRANSLATION:
From "us" to "me", we have chosen to connect now
from "now" to the "future",
until the day when
we can paint over the continuation of our dreams
with new stage directions,
Will you keep trying your best?
A song of joy for us who are setting off on a journey, here again,
As I looked forward, there was only one path in front of me
An intersection that appears like a
a surprise attack, a detour, the spring buds
I can't just keep nodding,
there is surely no mistake in this question without an answer,
Each one of us held on tightly to a brand new ticket,
proudly held it up
From "us" to "me", we chose to
connect from "now" to the "future",
(Soar high),
If there are still doubts in your heart,
accept it as a part of you
Let's celebrate the continuation of
this unforgettable season together,
LA LA LA LA LA LA LA
To the you who was stretching yourself with
dreams that can't be held,
Have any of them come true, even just a little?
You'll probably laugh and say "there's still a long way to go "
But that's okay,
I just wanted to know the right answer,
pretending to be clever,
It felt unbearable, like something was wrong with me
I took a deep breath,
As I throw away the usual, I take my first step forward,
Smiling as I say, "I'm off"
The flowers sing to inspire us as we set out on the road from here,
somewhere
Don't be afraid,
I'm just being spoiled by the moments you've been waiting
If you keep relying on the present,
you'll be laughed at in the future, asking yourself
"What are you doing?"
I'll come back the during the season where cherry blossoms fall throughout the sky
There are things here that won't change
To the new me and the new you
Nothing can stop the bell that has began to ring for a new beginning
(We are)
We'll bloom here no matter how many times,
from "us" to "me" from the now to the future
We have chosen to connect
(Soar high),
If there are still doubts in your heart,
accept it as a part of you
Let's celebrate the continuation of
this unforgettable season together,
With your usual smile, can you still see your dreams?

that manga fucking rules so much i didnt even care the handwriting made me slowdown reading what the kanji was and i stared at it 15 minutes per character. i messed up my sleep schedule by reading this but its worth it theyre uploading it gradually but its about 14 out of 89 pages so im looking forward to the rest hehe
im too lazy to typeset so i will describe it instead~ It's your average yakudou comic with guda getting hurt. But its a perspective that i love so far...so i want to ramble about it
but of course it starts with a fight: "Everyday life" "Fighting, getting hurt, healing, and-" then theres a beast approaching her, "sometimes, death"
then it cuts to guda in the hospital bed, waking up 3 days later from her injuries with rider vinci on her bedside in the infirmary, checking her vitals. then da vinci casually drops onto ritsuka that if it wasnt for medea lily she would be alive bc, THE ENTRETY OF HER LEFT HALF OF HER BODY WAS TORN APART BY THE MONSTER and shed have died <3
then she says "anyways, im glad your right hand (command spells) wasn't damaged/taken and your wounds was deep but youre healed now. anyways, you good to go on the next mission?" then we cut to the flashbacks of guda in their moment of "death" at this point i was eating all of my fist... then guda just says "yeah lets go" with a smile
theres so many things wrong with that scene in a single instant but its a drug to me to see this kind of interaction where someone says "thank god your staff is safe but anyways 3/4ths of yourself got blown away but thats fixable <3"
then next was oberon's perspective where he describes her as a self sacrifical idiot, that theres no other word for her as she always comes back with scars and wound from fighting, and he doesnt know just what drives her to come back again and again until shes satisfied. then oberon sees artoria being worried she confesses to him about today's events where "ritsuka and i were walking in town to run some errands but just when i heard screams from ritsuka i was too late to notice"
and when castoria turned around all she could see was Ritsuka getting attacked by the enemy from behind, smiling peacefully as if saying "Ah- this is where i die" and castoria is so distressed and worried and shes crying a little and she talks about hers and oberon's love for ritsuka about protecting her and about her not knowing what to do bc she just wants ritsuka to smile my heart was going to give out for the three of them😭 i love them really much
but then next scene fucks me up even more with obecas visiting ritsuka again in the infirmary, then i find out castoria was also the reason why guda is alive. then da vinci says, "no matter what i'll heal ritsuka as best as i can" then oberon says, "Wow, aren't you so desperate about whether she lives or dies?"
Da Vinci, exasperated but now smiling: What are you saying?? It's just natural, after all...
THEN THIS SCENE KILLED ME LIKE IT KILLED GUDA HHH IM GOING TO DIE TOO
"She is our Master!"
Then Oberon pauses. Then internally he goes, "Our Master?"
...Because isnt that saying:
"Precisely because Fujimaru Ritsuka is a "Master" that she is worth healing."
then the comic ends im dying over here bc its 14 pages so far but i need more to stuff it inside my guts

合歓木[Nemunoki] Albizia julibrissin
The name of its kanji is an ateji(substitute characters) and its reading means 眠りの木[Nemuri no ki](Tree of sleep).

"They say that people who love summer flowers die in summer, is that true?" Today, as my mother was watching me work in the fields again, happened to say something like that. I was watering the eggplants mutely. Ah, come to think of it, it's already early summer. "I like flowers of Nemu(Silk tree), but there is none (of that tree) in this garden." My mother says quietly again. "There's a lot of Kyōchikutō(Oleander)." I said in a deliberately brusque tone. "I don't like them. I like most of the summer flowers, but that one is too pert for me." "I love roses. But those bloom in all seasons, so does a person who likes roses have to die in spring, die in summer, die in autumn, die in winter, and die again four times that way?" From 斜陽[Shayō](The Setting Sun) by 太宰 治[Dazai Osamu] Source : https://dl.ndl.go.jp/pid/1086017/1/37
Novelist 檀 一雄[Dan Kazuo], who was having drinks with several people at a bar, later wrote that Dazai was severely asked by Poet 中原 中也[Nakahara Chūya] what his favorite flower was, to which he replied "Peach blossom". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chūya_Nakahara

Day 1: Paint Tales From Their Childhood
Asano Gakushuu:
It wouldn't surprise anyone to know that Gakushuu was an expert in the many forms of art; and painting certainly was on the list. What they might not know is that he's been doing it since his diaper days.
Good Guy Gakuhou fawned over every single masterpiece his little Da Vinci made, believing that each one meant something important about his child's development. Each one.
"He already understands the concept of complementary colors!" He squealed when he Gakushuu used red and green.
"He's figured out how to mix colors!" He exclaimed when Gakushuu accidentally added blue to the red blob he 'drew' on the canva.
"Oh, he's practicing Kanji already." He smiled at the random brush strokes his infant son would make. He legit believed every stroke was his boy trying to draw a kanji he'd seen before.
It's safe to say Gakuhou has an album dedicated solely to Gakushuu's artwork, which he still keeps to this day, partly to subtly brag about his kid, and partly to tease said kid.
Sakakibara Ren:
After doing a finger painting at school, little Ren went home with a new goal in life-- to become a painter. His parents got him all the canvas and materials he needed. Ren mostly painted nature scenes since humans and animals were too complicated for his five-year-old self, plus he's always loved nature.
A week later, he was back to his books. He didn't touch his art supplies again until mother's day when he decided to author a short story starring his mom; and since it was going to be about his mom finding a magical rose garden (her favorite flower), he decided to add illustrations!
So he did just that. He folded the papers and used the strappler pins to make a book. He ended up with two extra pages, so he used one to write a short poem and the other to paint him and his mom holding hands (he wanted them to be hugging but it was too hard for him to do). His mom has the book to this day.
Araki Teppei:
Once, little Teppei was reading an article on renaissance artists with his dad when he suddenly decided he, too, wanted to be a famous painter. He got out a normal A4 paper and started painting random stuff since he didn't have a clear vision in mind, so he ended up using a lot more paper than he intended.
Eventually, he settled on a family portrait. Sure, the stick figures had disproportionate body parts and the colors were a bit messy, but his dad loved it nonetheless. Not only did he proudly hang it on the refrigerator, but he had his own surprise for his little artist the very next day: A news article on the famous painter, Teppei, was hung next to the artwork.
Years later, Teppei still has the artwork and the news article.
Koyama Natsuhiko:
This boy grew up roleplaying as a heroic wizard in his own little world. One day, he decided he wanted to bring his magical world to life, and what better way of doing so than by drawing and painting background pictures and taping them to the walls? He was home alone that day, so little dude got to enjoy his fantasy as much as he pleased. The paintings, while simple, really made his adventure all the more immersive.
His folks weren't exactly happy with the mess that greeted them once they arrived home. Literally every wall was covered in at least a dozen paper! Still, they didn't scold him for it...because little Natsu was already asleep by then. Evil little gremlin
Suffice to say, cleaning was a pain, and it took them two weeks until they could no longer find anymore of these papers. (Seriously, just when they thought they've put them all in trash, they find one on the ground, under the sofa, or still tapped to the wall! How?!)
Seo Tomoya:
Unlike the rest, Seo seemed to use his art supplies for anything other than art.
Once, he decided to fake chicken pox to skip school after watching Tom and Jerry (in you case you don't recall, there's an episode where Jerry paints red dots on a sleeping Tom and convinces him he's sick) so he did just that and came 'crying' to his parents.
His parents didn't buy it, and a grumpy little Tomoya was sent packing to school.
When Halloween was right around the corner, Tomoya decided he wanted to be an alian and thought painting his skin green would be the perfect costume. Not only that, he also decided to "dye" his hair green as well.
Guess who spent his Halloween grounded? Yup, Marvin the Martian over here.
In a similar instance, Tomoya discovered something called something called food coloring and decided, "Cool! I can make a flame-colored cake with my paint!" Because if it's colorful, it's edible, right?
Fortunately for everyone, his mom arrived home just in time to stop him. He had such a field day helping her clean up the kitchen...

Florida has had its clouds permanently revoked
Our mushrooms were going bad so I made some big udon before work and it was actually real good. Then I played a little of Side Order before I left and i had forgotten that a lot of why i played so much of the single player in 3 was because the game looks and runs a lot better offline lol. I only did the first 10 tutorial stages but I like what i'm seeing so far
I had a lot of down time at work and I spent a ton of it trying to beat the next to last boss in Onimusha without healing or upgrading weapons health or magic, and i'm getting better but this is a stupid ass challenge I have set upon myself. But if I decide to do one of those things to win then I have to beat the final boss without the broken Bishamon sword like 3 times and that sounds maybe worse. I turned on Hydlide 3 also and the music in that is so fuckin good. I dont think I will ever complete that game but I have so much love and respect for it. Its kinda funny that I feel the same way about Hydlide 1 and 3 as I do about Fairune 1 and 2. Where both of the first games are exactly what I want from their concept, and then the sequels are like the same but too much. Fairune 2 is much normaller and more approachable than Hydlide 3 though
My Kanji of Da Day is actually two kanji, but the two combined are less complex than 願. I learned 今 and 晩, as in 今晩は. Remembering that ha becomes wa at the end of words is very strange to me but I'm sure theres a good reason for it

Tumblr media
Kanagawa Prefecture is located just south of Tokyo. It is home to many day trip destinations from Tokyo, including the cities of Kamakura and Hakone. The prefectural capital of Yokohama on the Pacific coast is Japan's second largest city and its major port, including many multicultural influences such as a China Town and the Minato Mirai building. The port areas are also major centres of bonito and tuna fishing. Inland, Kanagawa has a flourishing agricultural area producing flowers and dairy products for the Tokyo market.
Recommended Tourist Spot・おすすめ観光スポット The Great Buddha of Kamakura - 鎌倉大仏

The Great Buddha of Kamakura (source)
At the Buddhist temple Kotoku-in (高徳院) in Kamakura stands the 11-metre tall 13th-century bronze statue of Amida Buddha. Initially housed in a wooden hall, it was restored in the Edo period (1603-1868) after being damaged over the years by typhoons and earthquakes and now towers over the grounds of the temple. The Great Buddha of Kamakura is the second largest seated Buddha in Japan.
After you visit the Great Buddha, you can also find other Zen Buddhist temples, which are among the oldest and most beautiful in the country, and most in walking distance from each other. Enoshima and the Kamakura beaches are also nearby.
Regional Cuisine - 郷土料理 Kuro-tamago (Black eggs) - 黒卵 (くろたまご)
Tumblr media
Kuro-tamago or Black eggs (source)
It may seem strange, but this popular souvenir from the Owakudani (大涌谷 or Great Boiling Valley) in the resort town of Hakone in Kanagawa Prefecture gets its distinctive black color from being boiled in natural hot spring water for 60 minutes at a temperature of 80°C, then steamed at 100°C for 15 minutes in steel baskets over natural hot spring water. The natural hot spring water contains sulfur and iron, thus turning the egg shells black. The Kuro-tamago, or Black Eggs, have a slight sulfur smell (although the whole valley has this smell so you might not notice). They are safe to eat and are said to add 7 years to your lifespan! (You shouldn't eat more than two at one time though, as the lifespan elongating effects will then be nullified, or you might just feel slightly sick).
Owakudani is an active volcanic valley that is known to locals as Jigokudani (地獄谷 or Valley of Hell) due to the sulfurous volcanic gasses and steam from the natural hot spring waters. There are many resorts nearby in Hakone which tap into these natural hot springs. The valley was formed due to the last eruption of Mt Hakone about 3,000 years ago. On clear days, you have a great view of Mt Fuji. There is also a ropeway that will take you over the active volcanic area, but sometimes it can be closed when the volcanic activity picks up and the volcanic gasses increase, so check before you visit.
