I said I was going to start talking about the rewrites I have, and what better way than just start with the poster boys, and I do mean boys!
Welcome to the first entry of my Creepypasta rewrites, I introduce the rewrites for Woods, Keaton and a variant of 2015, as well as my own original Jeff! We'll talk about this in chronological order.
Before we get into it I do have to preference there is a lot of lore that I'm not going to fully dive into here, cuz as you'll notice I have excluded a Jeff variant, as I'm saving Hodek for his own blog entry. My takes on Jeff depict the variance as a cult worshiping the original Jeff the killer, with Woods and Keaton at the head of it, well, Keaton is the REAL master mind.
Hailing from 2013, we have the ever well-known and (not very) beloved Jeffrey Woods, the second ever recorded Jeff The Killer. No I actually had a lot of difficulty figuring this one out, because he needed the biggest rewrite out of all of them, and frankly, I had fun and adore the end result.
Jeffrey Woods is still a story we know, and have seen time and time again, but there is a few major updates and differences to his origins. For starters, one of the major things I wanted to do and touch up on is his relationship and dynamic with Liu, and I went a step further to switch their ages, Jeff is once again the younger brother, with Liu being only a year older than him, making most of the stuff to come later make a lot more sense.
The other major change is the incident is no longer a birthday party, I rewritten and restructured a lot of the events without changing most of the beats, and this is the event I've changed the most, and it's aftermath, you see instead of a birthday party this takes place at a 4th of July gathering. The events play out somewhat the same, with his parents sending him to find his own entertainment and ultimately he ends up playing cowboys with some of the younger kids, before Randy and crew came onto the scene, pulling him away for a "chat".
Instead of guns or the flare gun this time around, no, Jeff is hit with some illegal fireworks, the incident burning him from head to toe, leaving him worse from where when the ambulance is finally do arrive and Randy is arrested. His pale skin is actually explained by the improper skin grafts, leaving him with ghostly pale skin, and in fact, he still has his eyelids. Rather than them being removed, his eyes are unable to shut properly due to a problem with the methods used to treat him.
In fact the events of the first murder are completely different, it is instead the family of Jane Arkensaw, leading to his parents seeing him coming back from the burning the house down, forcing him to silence them as well before visiting Liu. In this version of events there is no catchphrase, instead it's Jeff struggling to find any sort of comforting words for his brother, only what their parents used to tell them... "Shh. Just go to sleep." Before smothering him with a pillow and leaving during Liu's unconscious moments. Now homeless, and on the run, he's forced to fend for himself until!
Jeffrey Keaton, the third and most vile recorded Jeff The Killer, based semi off of the MBK version. He's more violent and manipulative, and audible stutter often signifying his enjoyment of his depraved actions. Unlike Woods, there had been something wrong with Keaton deeply from the start, hell it wasn't just him, his elder brother David was equally as vile. They killed their parents together, and wreaked havoc across the small town of Ferguson,
However, similar to his counterpart in the MBK-verse, he would be trapped in Krueger asylum and meeting group of colorful individuals. Helen Otis, Natalie Outlette, Katherine Knight, Diana Angels, and Owen Allaster. Eventually they would all find themselves free in the wake of Natalie's superhuman strength awakening. They broke out as a group, ultimately splitting up as Owen and Katherine returned to Slenderman, Jeff sought to find his brother, Diana Angels left to seek out answers to what she is, and Natalie vanished into the night.
Having split ways with his asylum gang, Jeffrey would find himself lured into an abandoned pizzeria, David strung up from wires, the mad head of the asylum was waiting for him, garbed in wolf mask and trench coat. The resulting class at ultimately end in the death of David and the first of many deadly experiences for Jeffrey Keaton.
In the aftermath of this, he would be indoctrinated and resurrected by Zalgo, infected with the demonic warden's influence, and ultimately coming to die multiple times.
Present day Jeffrey Keaton is a walking corpse, malnourished and rotting, bugs crawling beneath his skin and threatening to eat him from the inside out. He can only be described as a GHOUL, a zombie. His appearance began to resemble the ugliness inside of him over time, to be a reflection of the monster within.
He's long evolved from playing serial killing, now using the existence and concept of Jeffrey Hodek, he's formed a cult alongside Woods, calling themselves The Church of Smiles, which, unbeknownst to Woods, is a way for Keaton to highly rack up the amount of kills made in the name of Zalgo. The undead abominable aims to speed up his master's arrival, using the others as his pawns.
Our next stop is Jeffrey Coleman! A reimagined 2015, which is mostly the same for now, the only difference is that rather than the flare gun... He is suffering from a chemical burn that covers half his face.
Our final stop, the original concept. Jefferson Forester! The youngest of the jeffs here, and the most short-lived. Honestly I'm still working on flushing on his backstory, and general concepts for him...
I can't over say that I do have a lot of concepts for what he was during his time alive, but I do want to talk about him because he's how I started to like Jeff The Killer again. I actually originally hated the guy, and that just spawned from how I written a lot of variants were, and just the damage he did to the fandom as a whole. But, the goal for Forester was to create what I would like to see as the ideal Jeff The Killer.
Forester is an amalgamation of all that came before him, the stutter from keaton, a more thorough burning than 2015, leaving him a SCARRED mess, and he is the only one that actually has the catchphrase penned by Woods. He's twisted and chatty, he'll break you down psychologically before he takes your life.
Forester is egotistical and short sighted, he was the first one to come up with the idea of leaving carved Smiles as a sort of calling card for the church, and it's ultimately he that ends up creating this world's Nina. Ultimately, it's his ego that got some killed, for when Jack Revver came for him, he thought that nothing could stop him. I'll probably make a blog for him when I eventually return to fully flush him out.
So, yeah, I figured we start off strong with the poster boy(s) of the community. And I'm sure you've noticed them in the tags and their real names in thread, but there are plenty of pastas mention here that will get their own blog entries with time. Bloody Painter, Clockwork, Killing Kate, Zalgo Judge Angels and Nina Hopkins, all already have their own rewrites, and I'm actively working on the rewrite for The Red Artist

When it came down to my favorite slasher movie of all time it had to include my favorite slasher of all time. Unfortunately I couldn’t decide between a lot of them so I chose the movie that had two of them against each other.
As many of you know, at the end of Jason Goes to Hell, Jason’s mask is ripped off and lands on a pile of dirt. The camera zooms in on it and we as the audience think there’s going to be one last scare. Instead we get the treat of Freddy’s hand glove reaching for the mask and bringing it back down with him.
Ten years later we get treated to Freddy vs Jason.. I have to include this movie on this list considering I watched it three times when it came out and now own it and even watch it on basic cable when its shown. Its a cant miss. Either you hate it because of the story and the acting and the actors they chose or you love it because its Freddy vs Jason. Two horror icons pitted against each other.

Years later there were rumors of a second movie, including one with Michael Myers and theres even a comic book which includes Ash from Evil Dead joining in on the fight. Hands down, my favorite slashers and slasher movie.
Freddy vs Jason Kill Count: 35 according to Dead Meat on Youtube
Favorite Kill Scene: Jason stabbing the douche high school boy 8 times in his bed and then bending the bed in half.

I think my favorite thing about the Nightmare on Elm Street movies is just how buckwild the timeline is
like people always describe Freddy's mom Amanda as a "young nun" but she was like 35
okay not old or anything and probably could be a confusing way to say she was a new nun but definitely older than the actress that played her in flashbacks in Dream Child who was like 27
conversely Freddy Krueger fucking died at 26 but it's so easy to forget that cause Robert Englund was already 37 in the first movie
Freddy's birth year makes him technically older tho lmao
throw in the stuff with his daughter and he was a dad at like 19 or 20
also if you take the "ten years from now" in Freddy's Dead to mean the movie's set in 2001 then that ironically makes Katherine around 40 and the actress' age matches for once

👪 FAMILY and 😨 FEARFUL for Shadow? (Since I feel they go a bit hand in hand)
FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?
What is their family like? Terrible! I hint around it, but I was stealing from the 80s horror movie scene for their heritage. They are the product of Freddy Krueger and Pamela Voorhees. They exist only to fulfil their parents desires. Freddy needs someone to drum up fear in the name of Krueger so he can gain power and expand his domain of terror. Pamela needed someone who could access the real world and free Jason from his toxic confines at the bottom of the old Camp Crystal Lake. Freddy and Pamela did not get along, so Freddy ended up with custody essentially. Once Shadow was old enough and powerful enough to fight their way to the normal plain of existence, they basically betrayed both of them since neither parent really cared about having and raising a child. Shadow's main "title" as a general is actually an insult from Pamela. She called them "the god-forsaken child born of the bastard son of a hundred maniacs" and Shadow loves collecting insults against them to force others to address them that way (they have a weird sense of humor). Now that Shadow only exists in the real world and nightmare realm, they no longer have any contact with Pamela. They do have some contact with Freddy since they see each other in the dream world, but mostly ignore each other. Shadow is not 100% sure how much of their power is tied to Freddy though. If they thought they could destroy him without losing their power, they would, but they rely on it too much, and don't want to risk it.
They do have two half siblings, once on each side of the family. Jason Voorhees is the most notable and they actually have a pretty good relationship. No one told Jason Shadow was supposed to release him, and since he's in a state of permanent slumber for the time being, Shadow can visit him through the nightmare realm. They visit a few times a year, and always on Jason's birthday, playing some simple games and sharing some snacks. On Freddy's side, they have a half sister, Maggie Burroughs/Katherine Krueger from the "Freddy's Dead" movie. Shadow and Maggie tolerate each other. Maggie, along with other notable protagonists from the Nightmare on Elm Street series (Nancy, Kristen, etc.), are still around as Dream Warriors to counter any demon Krueger. In the main universe, Shadow is usually more powerful than them, although they are still a threat. Maggie is not the most powerful, but because she is also a Krueger, she can go to Shadow's home at the old Elm Street house without losing her power (whereas all the other Dream Warriors lose their ability to fight and where Shadow is the strongest). Maggie is the least likely of the Dream Warriors to go after Shadow (Nancy being most likely, and has been hired by Magnus on several occasions to front an attack) as long as Shadow isn't abusing their nightmare power to kill people in their sleep too much.
FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into "flight" or "fight"?
Despite what a lot of rumors say about Shadow being a coward and running (because they can teleport so easily with their nightmare power), they go into fight mood. Granted, they don't necessarily get scared often. They might worry about something, but fear is their main source of food. They don't feel it strongly. They'd rather fight something to deal with it. The whole reason they have their current job as a general is because they used to solely fight for the rebels. When their forces were weakened and there was a chance all the rebels would be wiped out, they left their group and turned themselves in, fighting their way up to Aku and claiming to be the sole rebel causing the issues. They decimated Aku's army on hand and what was supposed to be Aku's defenses, and because Aku could smell they were a demon and assumed they were just power hungry, he gave them a job since he assumed he could just kill them if there were any issues.

(you remember that posts someone made about Freddy and Kai Parker fighting/working together?) What would happen if they somehow switched realms (so Kai ends up in Dreamworld on Elm Street and Freddy ends up in Prison World/TVD Univers),while still keeping their original powers? Also imagine protagonists of both worlds dealing with this new threat!
Omggg, Damon 'why wont anyone stay dead in this town' Salvetore getting told that they're fighting Freddy Krueger. That would be so funny. Like, really?? really??? *takes a big old swig of his bourbon* That's it, we're incinerating all the dolls in the house. All of them. Sorry Stefen but Mr Binky has to go-
Stefen says he's never watched a Slasher flic and Damon is so mad- like what!? you've never seen a Slasher? Friday the 13th? Halloween!? Wh- sit down little brother you're about to learn.
Also Damon following Randy's Rules XD Sorry Elena, but you cant have sex until Freddy is dead again. No one is leaving the house- actually, no one is leaving this room (Except for Katherine. Katherine can go. See ya pal- ). The one he does have problems with is not drinking. Bonnie has to smash all the bottles with her magic just to ensure he wont take a sip when no ones looking XD He is so mad, but restrains himself cuz he knows she's right.
On the other side, in Springwood, things are a little more chaotic. These are sleep deprived kids!! They haven't rested properly for years!! And now they're expected to fight a witch?? During the DAY??? Day is not their best time.
And none of them, have powers in the real world.
All I have to say, is its time to call up Mary Helena again because they need HELP. Let her pray the evil out of him, or something.

Universal Horrors AU: Freddy Krueger
Bio: The Son of a Hundred Maniacs. The Springwood Slasher himself. Summoned by Afton to help out with his killings of Golden Freddy, Spring Bonnie, and Cassidy as well as those that got too close. Of course, Krueger was jealous of Afton's kill count and tried to out-do him, Dracula took notice of this however and managed to seal him in a lantern, where he'd be shipped off to Springwood, Ohio, the place where he was born at and died at.
Come 1981, and Krueger managed to free himself from the lantern he was trapped in, starting a killing spree in people's dreams while planning Dracula's and Afton's deaths. Later in 1984, he'd later go to Hurricane, Utah in an effort to outdo the Man behind the Slaughter's kill count while also taunting him in his dreams, saying that he'll return to this town no matter what, as long as people believe in him.
And he kept his word, the dream slasher kept coming back to the town itself in every few years to kill a few more victims in their dreams before returning back to Springwood to continue his other killing spree. What also helped is Afton's "death" and Dracula's disappearance following his exposure, it fed his ego even more and believed that no-one could stop him. However, Prodigium (specifically its American Branch) took notice of these killings and with the help of Alice Johnson, Maggie Burnham (real name: Katherine Krueger), and Prodigium agents Ash Williams and Tina Shepherd. Freddy was seemingly defeated for good...until in the year 2026, where he was resurrected by the Anti-God with its intentions to unleash an apocalypse on Earth and have him choose a perfect vessel.
Freddy obliged of course, wanting to be remembered again, and soon set his sights on Glamrock Freddy, where he managed to possess him, slowly transforming the glam rockstar into a Freddy Krueger look-a-like. Of course, this didn't mean that Afton took notice of this and when he found out about this, he wanted him gone for good so that way his legacy won't stand in the way of Krueger himself, his former ally Dracula also took notice of this as well and wanted them both gone. A battle eventually ensued between the three, but during midway in the battle, Glamrock Freddy finally managed to resist control of him and managed to free himself of the Springwood Slasher. Freddy was enraged by this, but however he had no time on killing him as his intent was to murder both the count and the serial killer. The fight then ended with the three perishing in the collapsing "pizzaplex", where their souls are sent direcly to Hell.
A fitting punishment for the three.
