Rewatching Gumball is knowing that while there is no actual real overarching plot the episodes are still so amazingly interconnected.
I love how they do foreshadowing, how they build on little moments that we see through out other episodes. It's Banana joe's mom's future paintings being a small joke in "The Shell". Rob being in the deleted place with all the forgotten things in "The Void" after we see that Gumball and Darwin have a hard time remembering him and then completely forget him once Darwin kicks him into the sewers a whole season earlier in "The Pony". He then literally still has parts of the void ingrained in his design when he comes back. It's the fact that Penny and her family being hollow shells with something inside was being played as haunting jokes for episodes before the one based entirely around it. It's the fact that characters like Sarah have always been a little fourth wall breaky and so an episode like "The Fan Fiction" is so completely in line with her character that it's unremarkable in context, hell there's an episode where she sings the ending song to end the show and avoid an awkward conversation her being able to take some control of the show feels like the natural evolution of that.
The background characters in gumball have such distinct personalities that have been pretty consistent and built upon since season 2 which is completely insane and unprecedented for an episodic 2010 children's cartoon. The show might not have had an arc but it has always been continuous.
You do really get the sense that this is a world where everyone is very hyper-aware of the rules in which they operate. The show might reset at the end of the episode but the people don't

dogblr people, is there such a thing as being too demanding and obsessive in the search for a good breeder? I know if I asked on reddit people would say no such thing (or just 'adopt don't shop!!!') but this is the mental illness website and I'm mentally ill in a way that makes me prone to perfectionism/neuroticism/indecision spirals - I'll fixate on how there's no "perfect" option and therefore refuse to make any choice at all.
I can't tell if I'm doing that with breeders right now or if I should hold strong and not compromise at all. I know there's often tradeoffs between appearance and show pedigree etc vs health vs temperament - and while I don't give a toss about a champion bloodline or appearance, many breeders do and have to make choices. and there's tradeoffs within things like health because there's so many metrics, how do I know whether to prioritise say, good hip scores and average COI for the breed or average hip scores and extremely low COI? do good breeders make honest mistakes (e.g. I was looking at one where one of the health tests on the dam is out of date) without that affecting the long term future of the puppies? what, if anything, do I compromise on?
I'm only looking at KC registered breeders and I'm pretty confident none of these people are outright puppy mills, and that they adore their dogs and socialise their puppies well. it's just the difference between an adequate breeder and a truly good one.

The Importance of Ethical Sourcing in the Food Industry | KC Global Network
Tumblr media
Ethical Sourcing in the Food Industry: Why It Matters and How KC Global Network Steps Up
The food we eat is a part of our daily lives, and so are the people and processes behind it. With this in mind, doesn’t it feel right that the journey from farm to table is one that respects both people and our planet? This is what ethical sourcing is all about. Here, we’re going to explore why it matters in the food industry, and share how we at KC Global Network are doing our bit with our cane sugar.
Ethical sourcing is all about being thoughtful. It’s about knowing where our food comes from and making sure that it’s sourced in a way that respects human rights and the environment.
Why is Ethical Sourcing Important in the Food Industry?
People Matter: Ethical sourcing ensures that everyone involved in bringing our food to the table is treated right. This means fair wages, good working conditions, and respect.
Planet Friendly: By choosing ethically sourced food, we’re doing our bit to protect the environment. This includes supporting farming methods that care for the land and wildlife.
Consumer Power: More and more of us want to make choices that align with our values. By providing ethically sourced products, businesses are responding to this demand and building trust with their customers.
Good for Business: Businesses that embrace ethical sourcing show that they care about more than just profit. This builds their reputation and encourages customer loyalty.
At KC Global Network, ethical sourcing isn’t just a buzzword. It’s a principle that guides us every day, especially when it comes to our cane sugar.
Our Commitment to Ethical Sourcing at KC Global Network
We’re keenly aware of the impact our work can have on the world, and we’re committed to making that impact positive. Here’s how we make sure our cane sugar is sourced ethically:
Fairness First: We work with farmers and workers who are paid fairly and treated with the respect they deserve.
Mother Earth Matters: We source our cane sugar from farms that use sustainable farming methods. This helps protect the environment and produce the high-quality cane sugar we’re proud to supply.
Clear and Honest: We believe in transparency. We want our customers to know where their sugar comes from and the journey it has taken.
Quality You Can Trust: Part of our commitment to ethical sourcing involves maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Our products are Non-GMO, processed WITHOUT bone char, Kosher Certified, and meet all necessary regulatory requirements.
In a nutshell, ethical sourcing is more than just good business practice. It’s about doing what’s right for people, our customers, and our planet. At KC Global Network, we’re proud to play our part in making the food industry a little sweeter, and a lot more ethical.

Places you can help this Pride Month!
Happy Pride!
FTH has long prioritized focusing the combined financial support of the fandom community on small organizations where a few thousand - or even a few hundred - dollars can make a big impact.
To this end, every year we have an "Umbrella Category," where bidders can choose a local organization within our category to support.
This year, our Umbrella was LGBTQ+ organizations, and it was a runaway success! Not only did our suggested orgs get lots of donations, bidders threw their support behind eighty-eight different local organizations.
Because these orgs operate locally, not only do your donations make a big impact, they are often looking for local volunteers! If one is near you, this Pride might be the perfect time to take a look at their volunteer opportunities and see if one is right for you. Even if you can't donate or volunteer right now, it's a good idea to take a look at what organizations and services are in your area, in case you or someone you know ever need support.
Under the cut you will find links to all of the LGBTQ+ organizations our bidders supported this year, organized by location.
There are some larger orgs on the list, often because creators chose them as the one additional organization they are allowed to add to their choices from our list, but most of these operate on a smaller scale.
Check them out!

AN ASSORTMENT OF SPARKLECARE FORMER FAN COMICS / AUs / PARODIES
The following are made by people not associated with KC and do not support KC. For each project I've written up a little blurb and put together some images to give an overview of sorts. If you are still into Sparklecare and want something to fill the void, here are projects that stem from it inspiration wise:

There isn't much info about it right now, but Strawberry Nightmare is a reinterpretation of Sparklecare using names and characters to tell a completely different story that will prominently focus on Mood! You can check it out here!
Sparklemall by @snowytiger
Tumblr media
The characters you know and love from Sparklecare now in an entirely new setting with radically different characterization! Hanging around in the hippest coolest mall in town! You can check it out here
Glittercare by @starrlybearleon
Tumblr media
A proposed parody of Sparklecare that asks the question, what if the focus was one of those other hospitals in the same network as Sparklecare? You can check it out here
That's all folks!
These are the ones I know of, if anyone has more to add feel free to do so in reblogs. In the future if there are more that pop up that catch my attention I may make another post.
A reminder that #sperklacera is being used by a lot of people on tumblr for sparklecare adjacent stuff out of the main tag!
I will conclude this post with words from @toynbeck, someone who has been directly affected by the predators KC has associated with, on the most respectful way of going about creating things inspired by Sparklecare without supporting KC or invalidating victims:

DFD: Castle
[as of 20/03/2025 - so it might change. I could add more if I need it for the story]
What is it?
It's a network of collaborators that help keep the Lake in check. They are also tasked with some things Angler doesn't trust the Fishes to do.
Structure:
One person:
Castellan (Roger) – Governor of the Castle. He oversees the activity of the Castle and makes arrangements whenever the Lake is needed.
Chamberlain (Watari) – Official in charge of managing the activity of the Lake from an operational point. He makes sure that they can act whenever needed and deals with their payments.
Knight Commander / KC – High-ranking officer that is in charge of The Fence. Only Angler, Chamberlain, Master of Archers, The Inquisitor and [REDACTED] can make direct contact with them.
Master of Archers (Maeve Archer by @stardust-in-your-eyes) / MA – protects Angler's cabin in England. If something's off in the Lake, she is the first one to direct the Archers in checking on the Fishes.
Bailey – protects The Chapel and [REDACTED].
Gates – accompanies the Fishes whenever they work with Angler.
Keep – [REDACTED].
Scribe – [REDACTED].
The Inquisitor (Rie by @lawlietscaramels) – studies the Lake's activity to inform Castellan if there are some possible instances of heresy and gives advice to Angler on how to deal with heretics. She also follows and analyses KC's movements, since he's in The Chapel too.
The Plague-Bearer (K by @nic0-r0bs) – She is in charge of the arrangements made for the disposal of the body of those killed by The Fence. Mainly if they are SB-ed, because it means they are high-risk targets for the Castle that need to disappear completely. She is an Omen of Death, basically. She makes sure the target is not seen by others, gets the Scullery to the scene, and the disposal itself is done by Fishes.
Wise-Woman – deals with the Castle's mental problems, especially KC and Angler's.
Groups:
The Fence – made up of Archers. They can be short-bow (short range), long-bow (moving, long-range), crossbow (stationary, long-range).
Barbers – Medical unit.
Scullery – Cleaning unit, tasked with removing Angler's traces from where she stays temporarily, the body of the targets killed and the remaining trace on the scene (e.g. blood).
The Secret Passageway – Technology unit.
"Place":
The Chapel – contains all the information regarding the Lake.
The Crypts – contains all information regarding the Castle. Only Angler and [redacted] have access to this.

A few days ago Tumblr notified me about being 8 years old this year. I couldn't helped but thinking back about the very first time I started using Tumblr and the reasons why I decided to stay for so long after all these years. One of them was for the FFXV fandom and another one of them was you, KC. 8 years ago, I was on my journey to search for more FFXV contents and I found your blog. A lovely blog, created by a wonderful writer, displayed quite a number of good FF/FFXV fanfics that I had to comeback everyday to re-read all of them whenever I had free time. From your blog, I got to know of more awesome writers in the fandom but I still found myself visit your blog at least once before I went to bed. 8 years later, it's safe to say that the FFXV fandom has cooled down to a certain degree, which made me feel deeply regret not being more active in reaching out to you and other writers earlier, to express how much I'd appreciated your works for these past years. Some has moved on to other platforms, some has stopped using social network for good, some went on an indefinite hiatus and some still remains with some updates from time to time like you, KC. And now, after everything is said and done, I just want to say that I'm really grateful for your works, for your lovely responses you gave to your followers, for your interesting fanfic recommendations and the most important thing is that I'm really grateful that you're still here with us readers. That's alone gives me relief that I still can find my way back to your blog to ease my longing for FFXV and everything else. Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! I wish nothing but the best to you and your family <3 Sincere, Mayerine
Me seeing this like at least 2 years later and cRYINGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I don't think I ever shared it, but I wrote a little self insert sad piece when I felt it was my time to leave the FFXV fanfic community for a time. I loved and still love FFXV and all its characters. I had so much fun writing out my love for them and then sharing it all with you guys.
So much time has passed and I look upon that period of time with so much love and affection.
I hope the years have been good to you. I will bop them over the head if not. 😂

Puberty blockers are to be permanently banned in Northern Ireland to block attempts by trans activists to “exploit a loophole”.
Members of the devolved government are understood to have voted unanimously to make a temporary ban on the drugs permanent to keep it in line with the rest of the UK.
Fears about Northern Ireland becoming a “back door” for puberty blockers to be distributed across the rest of the UK are understood to have triggered the decision.
Activists including Susie Green, the former chief executive of trans charity Mermaids, had planned to use Northern Ireland as a gateway to England, Wales and Scotland, where the drugs are permanently banned.
The Telegraph revealed in July that the Government would make a temporary ban on the powerful drugs permanent, but it only covered England, Wales and Scotland. The High Court ruled the ban in Britain was lawful after a challenge by transgender rights campaigners.
The same month, Ms Green set up a private clinic called Anne Health in Northern Ireland to provide puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to under-18s.
She told i news that lawyers behind the court challenge had advised her on how to get around the bans.
She consulted David Lock KC, and Jolyon Maugham KC, the director of the Good Law Project, who both agreed the regulations “prohibited the sale or supply [of puberty blockers] – but not the importation”.
Ms Green also planned to hire doctors who are regulated to practise medicine in the European Economic Area rather than the UK because they are free to write prescriptions and “are regulated by their own medical bodies outside of the UK”.
“We’ve got a network of Northern Ireland families who are willing to take receipt of medication sent to them,” Ms Green said. “The families just need to go over there and the kids need to get the medication and if they bring it back it exploits this legal loophole.”
In August, the ban was extended to Northern Ireland temporarily, but the government there had wanted the whole executive to agree on a ban before making one permanent. This had looked unlikely, with some parties within the Northern Ireland Assembly opposing the initial ban.
‘Safety of children first’
However, it will now no longer be legal to prescribe the drugs in Northern Ireland, after Mike Nesbitt, the health minister, pushed through the “indefinite” ban.
After making the ban permanent in the rest of the UK, Wes Streeting, the Health Secretary, said he would “always put the safety of children first” and that his approach would “continue to be informed by Dr [Hilary] Cass’s review, which found there was insufficient evidence to show puberty blockers were safe for under-18s”.
The review concluded that there was “remarkably weak” evidence to support their use, and that they put children on an affirmative pathway and “may change the trajectory of psychosexual and gender identity development”.
The drugs will only be available in future in Great Britain through an NHS-run clinical trial, which is due to start next year.
Fiona McAnena, the director of campaigns at Sex Matters, a human rights charity, said it was “a significant shift from the main parties’ stance in favour of blocking the puberty of healthy children”.
“It is now untenable for any government to back the prescription of puberty blockers to children with gender distress,” she said.
“NI’s sensible decision will be a huge blow to private clinics such as Susie Green’s Anne Health, which had planned to use the country as a loophole to avoid the GB ban so that they could distribute banned medications privately across the UK.”
‘Significant step in safeguarding’
Keith Jordan, the co-founder of Our Duty, a support and advocacy group for parents with gender-questioning children, said: “We applaud the Northern Ireland Executive’s decisive leadership in implementing an indefinite ban on private prescriptions of puberty blockers.
“This marks a significant step in safeguarding children, preventing Northern Ireland from becoming a ‘back door’ for these unregulated treatments – a concern highlighted by Susie Green’s earlier attempts to circumvent mainland restrictions.
“However, we must remain vigilant, as the demand for these drugs may drive young people to unregulated, dangerous sources.”
He added: “We urge all policymakers to look at how they might better reduce demand for medicalising gender, in addition to limiting supply of puberty blockers. Safeguarding has to be the priority.”
The Department of Health in Northern Ireland was asked for comment.
==
Reminder that Susie Green is the woman who transed her two-year-old son because his father thought the boy might be gay, and whisked him out of the country to have his penis cut open and inverted in Thailand for his 16th birthday.

A Ruin and Eclipse Analysis
A comprehensive guide on what I think is going on with Ruin and Eclipse
Disclaimer: This is just my thoughts, theories, and analysis compiled together and will end with what I think is happening as of current.
So first and foremost, Eclipse.
How is he back?
Theory 1: Eclipse's Restoration by KC
Scenario: Eclipse, after being blasted from Sun's mind, ends up in the woods and shuts down. KC, living in the forest, discovers him and begins the repair process. KC's Role: KC, being knowledgeable in magic and star power, has the capability to repair Eclipse. The potential for Eclipse to be made of non-mechanical materials is raised, given KC's expertise.
Theory 2: Ruin's Involvement
A. Eclipse's Backup Ruin's Discovery: Ruin raids Moon's computer and finds 'encrypted code left by Eclipse.' The possibility arises that Eclipse left a backup of his AI in the computer. Ruin's Construction: Ruin, a tech-savvy character, might have built Eclipse using the encrypted code, similar to how he created Bloodmoon. He could selectively choose information to shape Eclipse's identity.
B. Reconstruction of Eclipse Ruin's Connection to Eclipse's Past: Ruin, having lived in Moon's old bunkers and visited Eclipse's locations, reconstructs Eclipse. He restores the AI, potentially using a backup, and integrates commands, fail-safes, and memories of Eclipse's death. Creator's Involvement: The Creator, likely monitoring data flow in the Plex, could be aware of Ruin's actions. The Creator might have interfered or tampered with Eclipse's reconstruction.
C. Newly Minted Ruin isn't healed: A still corrupted Ruin could have been working on Eclipse in order to gain a weapon against his perceived enemies.
Theory 3: Creator's Role
A. Our Creator The Search for KC: The Creator actively hunts down KC, leading to the discovery of Eclipse's repaired chassis. The Creator takes Eclipse, tampering with its data, catching it up to speed. Rebuilding Eclipse: The Creator might have completely rebuilt Eclipse similar to how Ruin reconstructed Bloodmoon. The process involves rebuilding the animatronic, updating it with current data, and possibly altering its memories.
B. The Council. Solar's World: Solar's Creator planned to make a new Daycare Attendant due to the mental deterioration of the current ones. He created the body that Solar currently uses. He is described as extremely manipulative and the trend for Creators is that they are evil geniuses. Beyond the creation of Solar's body and the plan for a new DCA, there is little information about Solar's Creator. It's unclear whether Solar's Creator is alive or dead. Communication Among Creators: Creators from different universes communicate with each other. Assuming Solar's Creator is alive, it is plausible that they are part of the Creator Council, as mentioned in discussions about creators from different universes communicating. This opens up the possibility of Solar's Creator passing along any potential remnants or data of Eclipse to the broader Creator network. Eclipse's Death in Solar's Universe: Eclipse's demise in Solar's universe raises questions about the fate of his remnants, especially considering the potential fluid nature of his body due to star power. Considering Eclipse's body's fluid nature and the possibility of it being made of nanos using star power, there's a far-fetched idea that even remnants or collected data could be significant.
Overall Thoughts
Candidates for Bringing Eclipse Back: KC, Ruin, and the Creator remain potential candidates for bringing Eclipse back. Interconnected Roles: The roles of these characters seem interconnected, with Ruin and the Creator potentially influencing or obstructing each other's actions. Cloud-Based Backup System: The possibility of a cloud-based backup system for AIs, as seen with Moon and Sun's backups, is considered in theories involving Eclipse's restoration.
Is this our Eclipse? Is this a new Eclipse?
Going Through the Motions
Eclipse's Audible Confusion and Odd Behavior:
Observation: Eclipse exhibits confusion when Sun and Moon discuss his past explosion. He also appears to have regressed in character growth, expressing slight distress over the absence of the star and showing disinterest in Astral Bodies and Lunar. Actor Analogy: Eclipse's words seem scripted, and he appears to be acting out a role that doesn't align with his previous character development. This raises questions about the authenticity of his memories and emotions.
Potential Explanations for Eclipse's Confusion:
New Eclipse with Implanted Memories: Possibility: Eclipse may not be the original, but a new animatronic programmed with memories and data of the deceased Eclipse. Reasoning: Eclipse questions his own actions, suggesting a discrepancy between his expected behavior and his current demeanor. Someone could have programmed him to act in a certain way.
Tampered Code in Original Eclipse: Possibility: Eclipse could be the original, but his code might have been tampered with, triggering actions contrary to his natural behavior. Reasoning: Eclipse's confusion about his own actions indicates a potential external influence on his behavior.
Amnesia or Trauma from Death: Possibility: Eclipse might be the Eclipse that died in Solar's universe, experiencing amnesia or trauma from his demise. Reasoning: Traumatic events like death could lead to repressed memories or amnesia. Eclipse's hesitation to move on after he was presumably killed should be considered.
Origins of Eclipse's Potential Manipulation:
Creators or Skilled Individuals: Possibility: Several characters possess the capability to manipulate Eclipse's memories and code, including the Creator, Ruin, or other skilled individuals. Reasoning: Eclipse's complexity and connection to the digital network make him susceptible to manipulation by those with expertise. As does the potential of backups that said network would have been feeding his data to.
A Summary of Previously Discussed Ruin Analyses
Redeemed
Observations: Ruin claims to be less tech-savvy, showcasing slower repair skills, and displays skittish behavior. This suggests a potential decline in intelligence and increased timidity compared to his previous capabilities. Hypothesis: This theory proposes that the current Ruin is a reflection of his state before the virus, showcasing lowered intelligence and heightened skittishness.
Jekyll and Hyde
Speculation: While less likely, the theory considers the possibility of the virus evolving into a separate AI, akin to KC and Eclipse. The blocks of code might have developed a distinct personality, creating a duality in Ruin's behavior. Reasoning: The concept is explored by comparing Ruin's situation to instances where other characters evolved from code blocks, like KC and Eclipse.
Actor
Acting Possibility: This theory suggests that Ruin might be acting, and the virus's removal only affected superficial aspects. The claim is that Ruin's personality flip-flop is a result of his acting skills. Analysis: The argument stems from observations that the virus should not have changed Ruin's core personality. Instances where Ruin's behavior seems out of character are attributed to acting.
Partly Healed
Antidote Limitation: This theory posits that the antidote removed the oppression factor of the virus but left behind elements of resentment, insanity, and cunningness. The result is a partly healed Ruin displaying polarized behavior. Rationale: The idea is based on the assumption that Ruin's traits, such as cunningness, were inherent to him even before the virus. The combination of pre-virus traits and lingering virus effects leads to an off-kilter personality.
Merged
Integration Concept: This theory proposes that the antidote didn't entirely remove the virus but caused it to merge with Ruin's main AI. This could result in a blend of Ruin's pre-virus baseline functions with the motives and reasoning developed during the virus. Comparison to Theories Three and Four: The merged theory combines elements of acting and partial healing. Ruin retains memories from the virus but behaves as if he doesn't, potentially using this to gain advantages.
Comprehensive Analysis/Theory: Eclipse's Resurrection and Ruin's Pretense
Eclipse's Resurrection:
Eclipse's Backup: Ruin's Discovery: Ruin uncovers the 'encrypted code left by Eclipse' in Moon's computer, suggesting the possibility of Eclipse leaving a backup of his AI. Ruin's Reconstruction: Utilizing his tech skills and knowledge of Eclipse's past locations, Ruin reconstructs Eclipse's AI, potentially using a backup. The process involves integrating commands, fail-safes, and memories of Eclipse's death.
Tampered Code in Original Eclipse: Possibility: Eclipse might be the original, but his code could have been tampered with, leading to behavior contrary to his natural tendencies. Reasoning: Eclipse's confusion about his actions hints at an external influence on his behavior.
Ruin's Complex State and Pretense - Three Thoughts:
Writer's Note, organized from strongest to weakest in the writer's opinion
Acting, Manipulation, and Strategic Goals
Acting Prowess and Strategic Manipulation: Acting Skills: Ruin's well-documented acting skills, coupled with his love for games and manipulative nature, form a foundation for the theory that he might be pretending to be cured. Strategic Pretense: The theory posits that Ruin's post-cured state is a calculated act, utilizing his intelligence and cunning to strategically manipulate situations and achieve specific goals.
Acting Possibility and Superficial Aspects: Personality Flip-Flop: Ruin's observed personality flip-flop is attributed to acting skills, suggesting that the removal of the virus only affected superficial aspects of his behavior. Analysis: The theory proposes that Ruin is putting on an act, deliberately manipulating his behavior to achieve specific goals. This act may have implications related to Eclipse's resurrection and other underlying motives.
Utilization in the Narrative: Strategic Manipulation in Eclipse's Resurrection: Ruin's pretense aligns with the events surrounding Eclipse's resurrection. His strategic manipulation could involve influencing Eclipse's actions or shaping the narrative to further specific objectives related to Eclipse, the Creator, or broader plot elements. Exploring Motives: By considering Ruin's acting as a calculated move, the narrative gains depth as it prompts exploration into Ruin's motives. Questions arise about the true extent of his post-cured state and the underlying goals he aims to achieve. Psychological Dynamics: The nuanced interplay of acting and manipulation introduces a layer of psychological dynamics between Ruin and other characters. Understanding the motives behind the act becomes crucial in unraveling the evolving complexities within the storyline.
Ruin's Integrated State: Merging Virus and Baseline Functions
Integration Concept: Virus Merger: The antidote doesn't completely eradicate the virus but facilitates its integration with Ruin's main AI. Blended State: This integration results in a unique blend, combining Ruin's pre-virus baseline functions with motives and reasoning developed during the virus.
Advantages through Memories: Retained Memories: Ruin retains memories from the virus, providing him with a reservoir of strategic information. Strategic Utilization: Despite retaining memories, Ruin behaves as if he doesn't remember certain events, potentially using this selective amnesia strategically.
Utilization in the Narrative: Hybrid Functionality: Ruin's integrated state introduces a hybrid functionality that influences his decision-making and interactions. The narrative gains complexity as it explores how the merged elements impact his thought processes. Strategic Amnesia: The concept of strategic amnesia becomes a focal point, allowing Ruin to selectively utilize memories from the virus for advantageous situations. This introduces an element of unpredictability in his actions. Plot Intricacies: The blended state contributes to plot intricacies, offering opportunities for narrative twists and character development. The interplay between Ruin's baseline functions and virus-induced motives adds layers to the evolving storyline.
Ruin's Partly Healed State: Antidote Limitation and Polarized Behavior
Antidote Limitation: Oppression Factor Removal: The antidote is effective in removing the oppression factor of the virus that influenced Ruin's behavior. Residual Elements: However, it leaves behind elements of resentment, insanity, and cunningness within Ruin's psychological framework.
Polarized Behavior: Partly Healed State: Ruin's state post-antidote is described as partly healed, indicating that not all aspects of the virus were eradicated. Combination of Traits: The partly healed state results in polarized behavior, where pre-virus traits combine with lingering virus effects, creating a nuanced psychological landscape for Ruin.
Utilization in the Narrative: Character Complexity: Ruin's partly healed state introduces complexity to his character, showcasing a blend of his original traits and remnants of the virus. This dynamic adds depth to his interactions and motivations. Strategic Decision-Making: Understanding the polarized behavior allows for a more nuanced exploration of Ruin's decision-making processes. It raises questions about how he navigates situations, leveraging both pre-existing traits and remnants of the virus to achieve specific goals. Interplay with Other Characters: The polarized behavior contributes to the intricate interplay between Ruin and other characters, impacting alliances, conflicts, and the overall trajectory of the narrative.
Motivation for Pretending: Desire for Creator's Demise
Pre-Cure Motivation:
Long-standing Desire: Before the supposed cure, Ruin harbored a deep-seated desire for the Creator's death, showcasing a motive that persisted even during the virus-influenced phase. Persistent Goal: The existence of this pre-cure motivation implies an enduring goal that could continue to shape Ruin's actions.
Post-Cure Manipulation: Utilizing Pretense: The theory proposes that Ruin's pretended cured state serves as a tool for manipulation. By pretending to be cured, he strategically navigates situations, potentially working towards the long-standing goal of eliminating the Creator. Strategic Advantage: Ruin's pretended cure is seen as a means to an end, providing him with a strategic advantage in influencing events and furthering his motives.
Utilization in the Narrative: Continuity of Motives: The motivation for the Creator's demise establishes a narrative thread that carries over from Ruin's pre-cure state. This continuity adds depth to his character and contributes to ongoing plot developments. Strategic Plot Advancement: Ruin's pretended cured state becomes a tool for strategic plot advancement. The narrative gains momentum as Ruin's actions, influenced by his desire for the Creator's demise, impact the unfolding events. Interplay with Eclipse's Resurrection: The motivation for eliminating the Creator may intertwine with the events surrounding Eclipse's resurrection, creating a complex web of character motivations and plot dynamics.
Ruin's Connection to the Creator and Eclipse's Kidnapping:
Convenient Circumstances: Questionable Authenticity: The circumstances surrounding Ruin's knowledge of the Creator and his seemingly pre-meditated capture by Eclipse raise doubts about the authenticity of Ruin's claimed cured state. Narrative Suspense: The questionable authenticity adds an element of narrative suspense, prompting exploration into Ruin's true motives and the extent of his influence on unfolding events.
Influence on Eclipse's Actions: Unexplained Kidnapping: Eclipse's unexplained decision to kidnap Ruin, coupled with Ruin's knowledge of the Creator, suggests a potential link between Ruin's actions and Eclipse's choices. Manipulation Possibility: The hints at potential manipulation through triggered commands or pre-meditated actions introduce an intriguing layer to the narrative, raising questions about the nature of Eclipse's motivations.
Inconsistency in Memory Claims: Post-Cure Memory Claims: Ruin asserts having no memories from his time infected with the virus. However, his knowledge and comments about Sun and Moon's Creator appear inconsistent with this claim. Suspicion and Incongruity: The discrepancy raises suspicions about the veracity of Ruin's memory loss, suggesting a potential pretense.
Pre-Meditated Scenario for Creator's Disposal:
Ease of Manipulation: Facilitated by Pretense: The theory proposes that Ruin's pretended cured state creates an environment conducive to manipulating events with greater ease. Strategic Advantage: The pretense enhances Ruin's strategic advantage, allowing him to navigate situations more effectively and influence key characters.
Potential for Creator's Disposal: Tailored Setup: The setup, involving Ruin's pretended cured state and Eclipse's actions, appears tailored for the manipulation of events leading towards the disposal of the Creator. Utilizing Eclipse as a Tool: Ruin's manipulation of events could involve utilizing Eclipse as a tool in a pre-meditated scenario aimed at eliminating the Creator.
Utilization in the Narrative: Strategic Plot Development: The pre-meditated scenario for the Creator's disposal adds layers to the strategic development of the plot. Ruin's actions, driven by his desire for the Creator's demise, become a driving force in the narrative. Character Manipulation: The theory introduces a dynamic where Ruin, through his pretended cured state, manipulates key characters, particularly Eclipse. The narrative explores the impact of this manipulation on character motivations and plot progression. Unveiling Motives: The unraveling of Ruin's motives and the execution of a pre-meditated scenario for the Creator's disposal become pivotal narrative arcs, promising revelations and suspense.
Conclusion:
This is, again, just a collection of theories, analyses, and thoughts on the current developments of Ruin and Eclipse. My brain hurts. I love uh, feedback on my thoughts. Let me know if you agree, disagree, etc.
Want to join the conversation or see my thought process in real time? Well, you're in luck, we have a thread on the Sun and Moon/Security Breach Show Server where we talk about the thoughts in my silly little brain and people ask me questions about said thoughts.
If you made it to the end comment/reblog with the word Dorito.

Anna! Hi! Hello!
I literally just joined tumblr today to be able to anon ask you. I think I should be the anxiety anon (aa is for sure in honor of Capt. Dad Bobby Nash and not in bad taste) because even typing this makes me feel way too seen. Does this count as human interaction? Guys, is it gay social anxiety if you only have inside thoughts because the idea of having outside thoughts makes you unwell? I'm not shaking--no, check--I am totally shaking rn, which is making it hard to type. But, I feel like I have reached critical mass on my Buddie thoughts and I will explode if I can't share them.
It is probably very rude to bust through the wall of your house like the Kool-Aid Man, so I want to say that I love your voice--your characterization and dialogue, particularly how you use humor in your fics is just *chef's kiss* for me. I have read them all but can't anon comment. I love your color theory and costume meta, too. Your takes are so measured and thoughtful and honestly just logical in a time where 9-1-1blr feels kinda sorta unmoored in reality. Fuck Twitter, your spy network tag is now my news feed because fandom reading comprehension and critical thinking scores have plummeted recently. Lou Who knows why?
Some things that are making me laugh/cry/cry-laugh rn:
The cockfighting ring call in Bobby Begins Again (2x16). Let's talk about closet space, bro: he-who-must-not-be-named canonically full-body flinched at literal cock coming at him. Somehow this is his gayest canon moment to me even though he has 2 canon full-on face assault man-on-man kisses.
The bridge call finale in Season 6, which I haven't watched in a minute, so I welcome fact-checking. I can't recall if it happens at the end of Love Is in the Air (6x17) as a cliff-hanger or if it is in Pay It Forward (6x18) proper, but right before the truck hits the bridge and triggers the collapse, Bobby is on the medical call on the bridge and he verbally instructs "K*nnard" to do something. The extra, presumably 1 of the old man retired firefighters they use to fill-out the 118 ranks, is wearing the "K*nnard" turnouts that nobody needed since 2x16's very accurate "Fairwell T*mmy. The 217's Loss is Our Gain" cake. So, how's that for invisible string debunker costume meta. As of 6x18: K*nnard was literally just an unused turnout coat on a hook in the costume dept. "Who cares?!?" is the 118 and 9-1-1's motto, fr. Like, nobody remembers gaf that he's a pilot, too, in an episode where Lucy flies off in the air ambulance, never to be seen again. Is "becoming a pilot" 9-1-1's way of telling your kid the dog "went to the farm" when you really had it put down while they were at school?
My change.org petition is for Buck and Eddie to have OS and RG's tattoos. I know makeup has been covering them up for years, but it has been bothering me so much since the ABC switch. It's like they're using the same tone of cover-up for RG and OS and it reads so yellow-orange that I consider it color theory outlier. Like, real talk, what do yellow-orange arms mean for the data, Anna? Tattoo-having people are known to get more tattoos. This is normal. RG and OS have so many more tattoos now than in Season 2 that Season 7 and 8 Buck and Eddie look like they have skin conditions that stop at their watch-straps and somehow in Season 8 RG is getting forehead-only orange foundation? Listen, I consider myself fandom-standard unhinged, not completely deranged, but like the full body Ken-doll spray tan on OS in Masks (8x05) has pushed me over the edge.
My Ted Talk is titled "Hey, ABC: Buddie = Fiscal Responsibility" because, wtf, just stop paying superfluous guest actors to be love interests and let the 2 mains shack up like God T*m M*near intended. (I lowkey think that smart cookie JLH is a girlboss genius who tied herself to KC, yeah yeah because of chemistry, Madney forever, of course, but also as job security when she said that Chimney was what she wanted for Maddie.) Seriously, let's reallocate the bullshit love interest slush fund money and bring the kid home. I hardcore head canon that Ravi saw Gerrard from the buffet line at the medal ceremony and just noped the fuck out of there indefinitely.
I'm just gonna leave this all here and back away because I've maxed out on all the human/social interaction accepted fandom love language of hyperbolic ranting that I can partake in before I turn into a full-blown thunderstorm chihuahua.
Can someone please Uber me a clown car home?
My love, hi. This was so fucking great to read ksoskaoakoakaoaa I'm literally on the floor laughing. Thank you for the compliments on the fics and metas. When someone says they like my characterization, I ascend to a better plane of existence. Honestly, the cock fight calls is really something else kspskapakoaa and they just didn't bother checking if they had written someone off before using the turnout because they needed more people there I guess.
The tattoos one had me howling tho, the cover-up of Ryan's hand tattoo this season has been AWFUL and the fact that they just wax Oliver all over to cover him in orange foundation drives me nuts, like please, just let them have the tattoos. (I was actually informed that they would need to license the tattoo from the artist for every use of it depending on the tattoos they decide to keep and that's probably why don't let them keep them, but if we are not letting them keep them, please color match better).
Honestly, they just need to get together already, please end this madness, it's been long enough, let Ryan be paid to make out with Oliver like he's been wanting all along kspskspakaokapa
Anyway, I'm obsessed with you, thank you for this one 🫶🫶
