A bit late but happy TDOV to all the proud trans freaks like me. All the boydykes and girlfags and girlboythings. The butch, futch, and femme trans ppl. The gender divergent and genderqueers. Pre op or no/never op, dysphoric or not, We are strong, and we’re visible and nobody will push us out.

Not to sound like a boomer on main, because I love my phone- I do. But I really miss the day when I could hang out in public without having to hear everyone else's phones. I don't care if there are babies crying (because babies cry sometimes) or if other people are having conversations (because that's what people come to cafes and such to do) but hearing tinny little phone sounds blasting out loud out of their speakers drives me insane. I'm only in my 30's, why are you making me complain about how things were "back in my day" like I'm 80? Public phone noise is prematurely aging me. Send help.

I’m gonna show y’all 2 things today that will make your experience better 😆 A refresher for the old guard, and good info for our twitter/reddit refugees 😌

1. The handy-dandy block button!

No need to vague post, just block 🥰 People often feel like blocking has to be out of anger, but you might just not like the content a particular user produces and you don’t want to see it when it’s reblogged by your moots.

If this is you, I’m sorry, I needed an example blog, cause I can’t block myself 🤷🏽‍♀️ Anyways, there’s the button and how to get to it on the mobile app. The desktop site is very similar.

2. Filtering users.

“What if blocking makes me feel uncomfortable?” Totally understandable. It has a confrontational/aggressive connotation, but you can still avoid people you want to avoid by filtering them, and they won’t know.

I used myself for this example but you can type anyone’s handle there, and they’ll be 💨 off ya dash.

Now, unfortunately, this will not stop aggro people from asking why you’re not interacting with them because some people don’t respect boundaries. They’re what we call habitual line-steppers. If you run across someone like that, they’ve forced your hand, and you may need to block them.

I hope this didn’t come across as condescending, as I genuinely want to make the hellsite as nice as possible so we can enjoy our clone troopers 🥰
