At dusk, death came to me in the form of a man

warnings: angst, no comfort, mention of neglect

notes; this is the first time I’m posting a fic online HOLY- anyway I might make a part 2, I also try to write this as gn as possible but let me know if I miss something

Blinking themself awake they looked at the clock, 2AM. Sighing, reaching over to the other side of the bed, empty, they noted. Rubbing their eyes awake trying to get rid of the disappointment in their heart, of course he’s not there, I mean who could blame him, between managing the tavern and his dark night duties they did not fit into his tight schedule. A derisive laugh fills the silent night of the bedroom as they finally noted how cold it is to be lying alone in a bed made for two, when was the last time they felt his warmth, his touch, when was the last time they heard his laugh? They move their right hand to cover both of their eyes as they try to remember his smile, his warm beautiful smile that could light up the night sky, but no matter how hard they try to remember they just can’t.

Scoffing, they remove the hand that covers their eyes and move to sit leaning on the headboard to try to clear their  mind of all the things pointing out how this relationship is crumbling right in front of their very own eyes. They finally tear their eyes from the walls and look at the clock again, 4AM, they sigh as they realise how easy it is to lose track of time thinking about these kinds of things. Laying back down on the bed, they try to pretend to sleep as they know he will soon enter the bedroom, shower and sleep facing away from them. This somehow became the new night routine between them both, they can already picture how their morning will be like.

As if on cue the bedroom creaks open as heavy footsteps enter the once silent bedroom, another minute passes by and they can feel the bed dips as the love of their life finally lays beside them under the cover, facing away from them. “Are we okay?” the question hang in the air, only both of their breath and the beating of both of their heart that could be heard “yeah” he answer after sometimes, yeah we’re okay, they repeat his answer a couple of times, burning it into their mind and heart, hoping it could somehow fix the wounds and bruises in their heart. As they close their eyes, they know in the back of their mind that this, whatever this is, is just a ticking time bomb waiting to blow, like a sick twisted game waiting for one of player to get sick of trying and just quit and left, never coming back to pick up where they left. And once again the night felt so cold to them with the love of their life laying beside them.

As the morning finally came, they sat up, rubbing the sleepiness away. Glancing beside them, noticing that once again he already left without leaving behind a single note, they let out a mocking smile at their own situation. Tired, they felt tired, maybe they should listen to their friend's advice and go somewhere to clear their mind, taking a break from it all. With that in mind they pack everything, going through all their stuff within the mansion. Looking at it now, it's just as if they never lived here in the first place, not even a single hair or a lingering smell of perfume could be found inside the now silent mansion.

With one last glance at the mansion they smiled looking down on the letter their friend sent from Inazuma asking for their help with their rebellion. They walked outside of Dawn winery, wiping a single tear on their cheek with a scoff. Laughing again at how ridiculous this situation is, leaving their boyfriend of 5 years to join a war without leaving behind a single note like how his boyfriend always does. “Happy anniversary Diluc Ragnvindr and goodbye” they whispered into the wind and with that they left.

During last nights dnd session we had few characters from old campaigns make cameos, my Kiira now around 50 year old is sort of a right hand woman for an influential crime boss type of thing, good for her!

Wanted to draw older Kiira, but I’m not good at like coming up with new outfits and such.... Buuuuut also Kiira doesn’t really care that much for looks so I could see her sticking with similar outfit she’s comfortable with for like ages so whatever haha.

🇫🇮 Naisleijonat secured their return to Group A with a win over 🇸🇪 Damkronorna in the Placement Round! Swedish Captain Anna Kjellbin opened the scoring with a goal 48 seconds into the first and Finnish Captain Jenni Hiirikoski scored an equalizer on the power play halfway through the period. Kiira Yrjänen scored her first Women's Worlds goal in the second and Noora Tulus notched her second goal and tenth point of the tournament with under three minutes left in the third. Goaltender Sanni Ahola turned away 18 of 19 shots for her third win of the tournament.
