WIP Wednesday Silvered Perceptions Chapter 11

It’s finally time for me to return back to SP — my beloved I’ve missed you — so I thought I would share some of the next chapter with you all. I’ve got this outlined through the next story arc pretty well and a loose one to the end. It’s looking like it’s going to be longer than I planned. *sobbing in writer problems*

Here’s a little sneak peak for you guys!

Porsche sits, sprawled in his chair, a cold bottle of beer in his hand dripping condensation onto his leg as Jom and Tem chatter away about some idiot in Tem’s biology class. The guy had tried to hit on a girl only to find out that her partner, seated right next to her, didn’t appreciate his attention. The tale is amusing if slightly childish compared to the stories Kim had shared about the family earlier today. Porsche is still turning over the competitive dynamic between the major and minor family in his head.

Jom catches him wrapped up in his thoughts and brings his bottle over to Porsche’s, slamming the bottom of his bottle against the top of Porsche’s. “Fuck, fuck Jom!” Porsche yells as his beer rapidly starts forming foam. Jom cackles in glee as Tem looks on shaking his head. Porsche is too busy trying to drink the beer before he’s wearing it to properly reach Jom as he’s smacking him. “You fucking asshole,” Porsche curses as he finishes the last of his beer.

“Got your head out of the clouds, didn’t it?” Jom says, leaning back and keeping his bottle out of reach. Maybe he isn’t as dumb as Porsche thinks he is.

Tem leans forward on the table. “Since you’ve decided to join the conversation again, you can tell us how it’s going with that alpha of yours. You still haven’t introduced us,” Tem complains, giving Porsche a look like he’s offended his ancestors with these actions. Porsche has ridiculous friends.

“There hasn’t been the time. He’s,” Porsche pauses here because there are a lot of things he could say about Kinn, “busy.” 

Jom and Tem share a loaded look and Porsche glares, these two have been scheming. They round on him and Porsche is ready for the peppering of questions he’s going to get. Tem starts it off. “What’s he do?”

“He’s in investments, real estate and hotels.” And drugs and guns, Porsche finishes in his head. He’s not going to say that out loud in a busy restaurant. 

Jom gives him the stink eye like he knows that wasn’t the whole truth. Porsche flips him off, still pissed about his beer. “What’s he look like?”

Ha, Porsche can answer this one. He pulls up a picture of Kinn on his phone, the alpha sprawled back in a chair and sipping a glass of whiskey. Kinn is staring off into the skyline, contemplating, and Porsche had snuck the picture when he wasn’t paying attention. He’s quite proud of how it came out. 

Porsche turns his phone so the two demons he calls friends can see it and Jom attempts to inhale his beer as Tem’s jaw drops. Porsche sits smugly grinning at the other two.

Tem splutters for a moment before saying, “Yeah, okay I get why he would sweep you off your feet.”

“Fucking hell, Porsche. I mean you’re good looking but fuck. Where did you even find him?” Jom is reaching for his phone and Porsche snatches it away. Like hell, he’s trusting Jom with that again. He’d changed the language to Russian the last time he had his hands on it and it had required Porsche to go to a shop to get it switched back.

“In the alley behind Hum Bar,” Porsche says. He rolls his head on his neck, the tension in his shoulders bleeding into a small headache. It’s odd because he isn’t prone to those.

going to sleep so can't write a long essay but i really think kim/chay makes so much sense. is chay a super exciting character? no. but does kim whose entire life is lies, masks and violence WANT an "exciting character"? or would he be more at peace locked up in a room with 20 of his worst enemies than standing there as someone who loves him just smiles and says he loves him like it's just That Easy to say how your feel?

The kidnapping tropes as they would play out in KinnPorsche:

Kidnappers: “We have taken the one you love most!” Kinn: “Oh, have you? Good fucking luck lmao!” *distant screams of kidnappers as Porsche escapes*

And:

Kidnappers: “We’ve kidnapped you!” Chay: “You are in so much trouble. You are in so much fucking trouble. You are in the most trouble ever, oh my god.” *DOOR EXPLODES INWARDS AS KIM ARRIVES*

vehicle pulls up, door opens, Pete is shoved out, door slams, vehicle screeches away Bodyguards: “Did you get kidnapped??” Pete: “For a minute, yeah.”

‘Oh my God’, Porchay thinks. This man is perfect: Music, terrible jokes, gorgeous face. Arms.

Porchay goes to press the super like button, but the app blocks him with a message about how he's used up all his free likes and that he can subscribe to get an unlimited number or wait 24 hours for more.

Shit.

Porchay really needs to stop liking every guy's profile. 

He hovers over the message. 

Chances are, this guy will be gone if he waits and he will need to cycle back around to find him again. What if he turns his profile off between now and then? Or he meets some other guy?? Porchay may never get another chance to let this man know that he's extremely interested.

Well… he might not be interested in Porchay… but it's worth a shot, surely?

Fuck it, he thinks. He can afford one month’s subscription, even if it is wildly expensive for a dating app.

He has to let this guy know that they're soulmates.

Meanwhile - Kim matches with no one even though he gets a decent amount of interest. Khun bullied him into this and he's making a stance. He's immediately enamoured by Chay's cute face and interest in his guitar and ends up breaking that stance out of “pure curiosity”. Chay remains the only person he ever matches with.

Khun is very smug when Kim finally admits how they met.

Chapter 1: The Beginning Is Not the Same:

His habitual post-coital cigarette is not nearly as enjoyable as it usually is after his latest romp with a big tipper but what can he do. At least shehad a good time. Porsche is still in the stock room behind Hum. He’s staying here as long as he possibly can before Yok shows up to drag him back to work again. It’s at the very least a semi-enjoyable interlude in a long night and Porsche thinks maybe he’ll be able to sleep later. That would be rally nice. It’s been a while since he had uninterrupted sleep.

Porsche watches as the smoke rise in slow bands up through the green tint of the lights trying his very best to not think about anything at all. Sometimes that is the only way to get through the day. A commotion behind the door to the alley disturbs him and Porsche startles as a man in a very expensive maroon suit, that Porsche is one hundred percent certain is tailored to him specifically, comes barreling in through the door from the alleyway. The man is quickly followed by some very rough types of the sort Porsche sees fairly often in the circles he frequents these days as much as he would like to be anywhere else. He sighs. This is not what Porsche needed tonight that’s for sure. The possibility of a good nights sleep is moving further away every second this is happening. Porsche debates for a second wether or not he should just leave them to it but the goons are quickly blocking the door and there’s no way out.

“Help me!” The man exclaims, breathless and horse in the stress of the moment. He looks wild with his hair escaping it’s styling and sweat gathering at his temples. He is disturbingly attractive like this.

Porsche blinks at the man. That wasn’t even a question. Just a demand. Oh, fuck it. This guy probably has money. Lots and lots of money by the looks of things. It’s not like Porsche can’t use the extra cash. Who the fuck knows what Arthee has been up to lately. He’s been suspiciously quiet the last month or so and that usually precedes a new collapse of their collective finances and a new claim on their home Porsche will have to take care of. Lord knows his uncle won’t ever do anything to help them himself.

“50.000.” Porsche is willing to negotiate but by the look of the goons coming after the man they are short on time.

“Deal!” The man agrees immediately, proving that Porsche was right about his deductions about the man and his financial situation. Porsche really should have asked for more.

Now, what to do with how much Porsche really does need to pee. Hm. Here’s an idea, lhe’ll use it to his advantage. Porsche winks at the man as he turns and grabs a bottle.

And chay meets kim and kim grips his shoulder to hold him while he leaves his mark on his chest. And kim opens doors for him and treats him to food. And kim offers the shyest most devastating smile and chay is a romantic at heart

Clingy chay who feels something fall into place once he's allowed to hang from kim, who relishes how warm he is in every way, who isn't touch starved anymore because kim takes such good care of him

Chay, a romantic at heart, worried about being pressured into intimacy he doesn't know if he wants if he's in a relationship. Chay deciding to try anyways and finding nothing but safety and soft touches. Kim going at his pace and letting Chay show what level he's comfortable with

Kim picking up on even the slightest tension In chays body when his hand gets too heavy or slides to an unsure spot

Chay unsure if he'll like kissing so lots of closed mouth kissing until one day chay is sleepy and relaxed and the music playing in Kim's apartment is so nice vibrating through his body so he drags kims face down and when Kim starts to pull back chay chases and opens his mouth --

Chay finds out he *really* likes kissing
