Itachi, sarcastically: Indeed. Because if Deidara just suddenly decided to stop hating Uchiha’s, he’d pick the least talented one of the group to date.

Konan: … Who’s an Uchiha, now?

Hidan: Holy Jashin, blondie … maybe we should be dating after all. I’d feel fucking guilty leaving you with this pool of losers. 

Kakuzu: Oi, if this is going to distract you all from your missions and hinder your bringing in money, then I will date the brat after all. I’m the only one with the self-control necessary to not let personal ties interfere with business.

Kisame: Pardon me, but you’re not the only one with exceptional self control, Kakuzu-san. I believe I’m talented in that area as well.

So Kisame and Deidara, they FUCK and that's it, they don't date, they won't catch feelings but they definitely go to each other when they both got rejected by Itachi. They mostly bond over that and the fact they have a good chemistry in bed

        It was still feel surreal to be dating someone, never in his life he let someone get closer as Deidara had. It wasn’t a surprise for Akatsuki either since the blonde wasn’t exactly subtle with his affection, not that they were obligated to disclaimer any relationship towards Pein. As long it didn’t interfered in their missions they could as well do anything.  After some days of switching schedules and completing missions, besides a little bribing they finally had an day off and a good reservation at a hot springs near Kumogakure. He hated that country but he wouldn’t lie to say there wasn’t beautiful places at those mountains.          As soon they entered their room, Kisame took the bandana from Deidara’s eyes. Happily showing the place, laying his face over the sheets on the bed as well pointing to the hot springs right outside of their window. 

“ My apologies to keep secret all the way to here! So, What do you think? Deidara. I had to read lots and lots of books to understand What you’re supposed to do in this celebration day. I hope it’s up to your liking, ne.”

   Kisame peeked over the gap from the door with a face that showed his disorientation. A nightmare had caused the assassin to go down the stairs of the hideout just so he could as that silly question. Receiving the answer he was seeking for made his expression calm in relief. Hand placed over the chest branding a smile.  “ As I though.. Sorry for bother your sleep, ne. If you excuse me ~ ”  He closed the door gently, yawning as retracing his way back to his own room to slumber peacefully this time.

Let me help you…” Deidara replied, lending Kisame his shoulder, helping him walk through a narrow path in the woods until they came upon a cabin. Outside was a pile of chopped wood, an axe in a stump, and laundry on a clothes line. The blonde helped him all they way to the porch where he stopped. 

“Can you sit down on the porch here while I get the first aid kit, hm? Will you be alright?”  He was really concerned that Kisame’s first reaction to seeing him again was to stab himself. Had it been that unbelievable for him? Deidara supposed he couldn’t blame him for that at least. 

“You’re still doing reckless things, hm. I missed you a lot.”

        Years had been kind to Kisame, without the necessity of fights his skills didn’t degraded that much besides the speed. Knowing even that an explanation of it wouldn’t matter. Even back then the blonde tried to help with visible wounds, once even throwing himself to not let the missing nin to hurt himself. Gold memories, some that took his mind away as he waited. Sat over the porch to not dirt the so well cared cabin.        By wrapping the hand around the kunai and pulling it off; no sound leaving his lips since the adrenaline still leave him senseless. Just a hand to press over the wound to stop the bleeding.

“ Heheh.. we’re both reckless. You know that right? Mr Suicide Bomb! Hahah..”
