Who did you think would win in a battle?

Wyatt Halliwell or Hope Mikaelson?

Definitely Wyatt Halliwell! Mostly because I haven't actually watched a single episode of any of the Vampire Diaries shows yet, so I have no idea who Hope is. (The main character in Legacies, I think?) (Don't worry, it's on my to watch list, my watch list is just really long atm.) I will say though that Wyatt is gonna be my answer for most situations. (Also thanks for the chance to do a little meta about Wyatt and his powers.)

From an objective standpoint in regards to powers, Wyatt wins against pretty much anything. I've said before and I'll say it again, I believe that Wyatt managed to break the Grand Design in the unchanged future with the exposure of magic, and I think that means he was able to kill some beings that he should not have traditionally been able to, aka the Cleaners and maybe even the Angel(s) of Destiny. (Which also loops into one of my now favorite headcanons that prophecies are made as a warning that a witch capable of breaking the Grand Design is coming.)

The catch, and how I'm able to write Wyatt in literally any conflict in my next gen fics, is that he has a critical weakness: he is terrified at the possibility of what he's capable of. (I have also mentioned that interpretation before, in connection with how Billie unintentionally makes it worse.) That kind of power is a lot for one person to handle, and Wyatt outclasses quite literally everyone around him by a large margin. I think that in a sense, his own fear serves as a kind of limiter on his power because he won't use them to the fullest extent. This is partially because he doesn't fully know what he's capable of because he doesn't experiment with his powers or push boundaries the same way that Chris does. While Wyatt has that kind of power, he lacks a greater amount of control and precision because he doesn't practice.

In a situation where Wyatt does go full-out, however, I think that he wins, no question. It's incredibly rare for him to do so, but one of his primary powers (projection) is a version of reality warping, y'know? That's not even getting into the fact that he has energy waves that can flat-out incinerate enemies without even trying. The challenge is getting him to a place where he doesn't hold back.

so it’s the last day of 2024. honestly it was great, if you don’t look at the last 3 months.

it started amazing, I remembered how much I adore sterek and teen wolf and how much I need to return to my ‘tv shows roots’ (it was the first big series that I watched🥺). I still love my 118 firefam. I got new tattoos, new job, I was in my beloved croatia and the most important, I bought tickets two weeks before the eras tour and I saw taylor swift with my own eyes (still feels unreal to me) 🩵

but then for the last 3 months i’m the most depressed version of me that I remember. I lost my grandma and still don’t know how to function without her, but i’m really trying to get there.

i’m a sappy person, so bear with me. 2024 was my first whole year of being here as Lia. I want to thank you. thank you for your kind words and endless support. thank you for making me smile with your posts and, affectionately, fuck you if you made me cry with them jk jk. thank you for tagging me in tag games or posts (special thanks to boo for tagging me in derek posts, I fucking love you). thank you for amazing arts and gifsets and stories I see here everyday, you’re so talented damn

Tagged by my favourite @theotherbuckley. Here's another small bit of dad!Buddie in the lead up to Aidan's second birth celebrations!

Eddie gave himself a couple more minutes of indulgently staring at his husband and son before deciding it was probably time to wake them up. It was Aidan’s second birthday, after all, and he knew the little boy wouldn’t want to sleep through any of it. Eddie gently reached out and pulled Aidan from Buck’s grip, bundling the little boy into his arms and pulling him against his chest. “Good morning, my little man, it’s time to wake up” he whispered into Aidan’s hair as he pressed small kisses against his head. Aidan whined, displeased from being pulled from his slumber, and used Eddie’s arm to push himself into a sitting position. Eddie braced Aidan with a hand on his back as the boy let out a face-splitting yawn, rubbing his eyes and looking at Eddie blearily. “Hi buddy” Eddie smiled, rubbing Aidan’s back in small circles. “Sleep well?” Aidan nodded and leaned forward to rest his head against Eddie’s chest, snuggling against him in his still half-asleep state. “Daddy sleep?” he asked tiredly, and Eddie nodded. “Yeah bud, Daddy’s still asleep. Should we wake him up?” “Uh huh” Aidan replied with another yawn and pushed himself off Eddie’s chest once again. As he crawled across the bed, his leg became trapped in the sheets and he faceplanted into Buck’s arm as he got stuck. Buck sat up in a rush, the sudden jolt pulling him awake in an instant and he looked around wildly. “What happened, what’s the matter?” he blurted, disoriented. “Hi Daddy” Aidan giggled as he picked himself up, crawling back up onto Buck’s stomach. “I two!” Buck, his brain finally coming back online and bringing him up to speed, let out an exaggerated gasp and tickled Aidan’s tummy. “You’re two?” he asked in his over-the-top baby voice. “That’s so big, baby, can you show me how many fingers that is?”. They’d been working on holding up fingers to show numbers and Aidan had gotten the hang of holding up his pointer finger to show the number one and could sometimes work out two fingers. With his face screwed up in concentration, tongue sticking out, Aidan held up his hand. He stared at his fingers with determination and slowly lifted his pointer finger and his middle finger until he was satisfied, he’d gotten it right. With a delighted grin, Aidan held up his hand and showed Buck and Eddie. “Two!” he exclaimed, very proud of himself. “You’re so smart!” Eddie grinned and he pulled Aidan off Buck’s stomach, holding him tight and peppering his face with fast kisses. Aidan giggled hysterically and tried to push away from Eddie’s grip. “Stop, Papa” he demanded, trying to frown at Eddie but couldn’t keep a straight face as Eddie playfully poked his side. “Come on, you little gremlin, lets get you ready for the day”. Eddie rolled out of bed, pulling Aidan with him, and swung him up onto his hip. He rounded the bed and leaned over to kiss Buck a quick kiss, holding Aidan out in front of him. “Give Daddy a kiss and then it’s time for a bath”. Aidan planted a wet kiss on Buck’s cheek and pulled back, settling into Eddie’s arms with a pleased look on his face. “Thanks for that, pal” Buck said as he wiped his son’s slobber off his face with a grimace and Aidan sent him a toothy grin, waving at Buck from over Eddie’s shoulder as Eddie carried him from the room.

First lines of 2025

I was tagged by @cliophilyra to post the first lines I've written for 2025 (they tagged my main blog and not this side blog). So here you go. Its a sort of sequel/prequel/inbetweenquel to "To Live In Hearts We Leave Behind" which can be found here or on AO3. Prewarning: This story gonna be depressing as fuck so be aware.

Tommy felt like he was floating. His eyes were closed but he felt like he was lighter than air, and floating. He could hear the gentle lapping of waves against the shore, hear the gulls as they made their rounds, trying to find whatever scraps were left on the ground. It was peaceful, calm. Tommy enjoyed it. The calm was broken by the sound of sirens. Something must have happened on the beach. Tommy knew how to ignore the sirens. Sirens were part of his life. He needed to know how to tune them out or go insane. Focus on the waves. They are calming. The sirens grew louder. Tommy was wondering if something had happened near to where he was. Focus on the waves. Listen to the waves. The sirens blared even louder as he heard vehicles stop near him. He sighed and opened his eyes. It was absolute chaos around him. There were several ambulances, firetrucks, police cars just milling around. He was watching from above. Seeing the chaos as if he was floating above everything. Something caught his eye. Far below him. Why was he so high? He wasn’t in his chopper. There was a dark shape near the waters edge, just barely out of the water. It was disfigured and Tommy couldn’t make out a face. Something had happened to this figure. Tommy wanted to go and investigate what happened to this figure. Within an instant he was no longer floating above the scene but was up close towards the figure. He could make out some more now. Looking at the figure he found a mop of brown hair that wasn’t burned. The face was burned and looked like it had been crushed. The figure was in a blue jumpsuit, similar to the one that Tommy was wearing. Was he wearing his Jumpsuit? He looked at the hand and saw something sparkle a bit. A small diamond ring was on his left ring finger. That looked similar to the one that Evan had given him on their wedding day years ago. His heart skipped a beat and fell silent in his chest with what he saw next. A name on the back of the blue jumpsuit. Kinard-Buckley. Oh God what had happened? Tommy closed his eyes tight. Not wanting to see this anymore.

Note: I may or may not have been thinking about the movie "Ghost" from 1990 when this idea came to me so just keep that in mind. I'm going to be doing this story in short snippets in various locations. This will be BuckTommy, just not in the ways you expect.

Eddie approached the door with determination, banging on it with both fists five times. “Open up!” he called.

Behind it, faint noises could be heard, muffled somethings. Eddie’s jaw tightened, his breathing erratic. He had to restrain himself from knocking again. “Evan Buckley!”

If there was a woman inside his apartment he was going to kill her. He was going to strangle her and watch the life evaporate from her body and-

A half naked Buck opened the door, frown on his face, pajama bottoms only. Eddie’s mind had to order him to pick his jaw off the floor and return to the task at hand. Stat.

“What are you doing here?”

The question sounded ridiculous. What was he doing here? Claiming his possession that was. “Let me in” he demanded, looking past Buck, trying to find anything, anyone that would make his job easier. A target.

Buck didn’t answer fast enough, so Eddie walked in anyway, his big, brown eyes wide and mad. “Do you have a bitch in here?” he questioned, showing Buck up. “Huh?”

“Hey, back off” replied the blond man, taking advantage of his height to tower over Eddie, who wouldn’t stand down. “Back off, Eddie.”

His face didn’t waver, neither did his stance. “I asked you something, Evan,” he whispered, putting both his hands on his chest and pushing him back with force, “and so help me god, you’ll answer to me.”

Buck pushed Eddie back harder, making him stumble. “Your unresolved shit is not my problem.”

“Oh, it’s about to become your problem” he said before grabbing him by the neck.

TW: mentions of blood and gun violence

There had been something off about this particular day. Eddie had been late to work for the first time in years, rushing out of Buck’s bed without kissing him goodbye. Then he had spilled scorching hot water down his body while doing the dishes in the break room.

He was in the patrol car with Adam, his hands tightly gripping the steering wheel as he stared blankly ahead of him, completely unaware of the fact that Adam had been talking to him for the past five minutes about some girl that he had met recently.

“You with me?” His partner questioned, sensing that there was something off about Eddie.

“Sorry, bad morning” Eddie chuckled and released the steering wheel a little, allowing blood flow back to his hands.

Adam was about to make a snarky comment about how Buck had probably kept him up all night when an eerie call came in over the radio.

“Attention all units. We have an active shooter situation at UCLA Medical Center, proceed with caution. I repeat, active shooter at UCLA Medical Center”

“Isn’t that-…”

“Where Buck works” Eddie’s mind can’t stop spinning yet he has to remain focused, his heart pounding against his ribs.

“Dispatch, this is Unit 12. Show us going” Adam spoke into the radio, Eddie’s foot already on the gas, swerving in and out of traffic, lights and sirens paving the way for him.

“Copy, Unit 12”

As Eddie navigated the tense drive, his phone buzzed urgently in the cup holder next to him. Relief washed over him when he saw Buck’s name and picture on the screen. Adam grabbed the phone and put it on speaker.

“Buck, are you alright? Are you at the hospital? Are you safe?” Eddie asked quickly. Buck wasn’t supposed to be at work today. He had worked nearly 72 hours straight this week and he needed to be at home, resting.

But the phone call from him would soon indicate that something else entirely was going on. At first, Buck didn’t speak and when he did, his voice was barely above a whisper and with every word that he spoke, his voice sounded like it was going to break.

“I don’t know what happened, Eddie. They just-just came in and-and-and started to shoot people. I’m-.. I’m-..”

Buck’s breathing was strained and panicked as he spoke, clearly trying to calm himself down before continuing to speak. Eddie could tell that someone else was with him, whimpering in pain. “-… with Molly. She’s been shot. It’s really bad, Eddie. I don’t-… I don’t think I can save her. There’s blood everywhere”

Despite Buck used to the stress and the tense atmosphere of the ER, this was nothing compared to that. Right now, it didn’t feel like he was a doctor. It didn’t feel like he was anything at all. Except scared to die.

“I can’t stop it, Eddie. He-…he shot her twice in the stomach”

Eddie's heart sank, adrenaline surging as he pushed the gas pedal harder. Before he could respond, Buck’s voice trembled again

"I have to go. We need to stay quiet. It’s okay, Molly. We’re going to be okay”

The line went silent, and then a muffled thud echoed through the phone. Eddie's pulse quickened as gunshots erupted in the background, only seeming to come closer with every single shot.

Have you read the comic books?

They’re cool the the storylines are interesting!

Hey! I have not actually, mostly because I don't really have a great place to access them tbh. (Although, I actually should check if I could get them through my library system.) I do know a lot of what happens in them from being on the Charmed wikia!

I'm going to be honest, however, and admit that I'm kind of a hater when it comes to the comics. 😅 (That's actually why I'm answering this like three years later, because I try not the type of gal to hate on others' love.)

It's mostly bc of the connection to Charmed, honestly, because you're actually right, the storylines are cool as hell! However, I always kind of felt like they had a very un-Charmed aspect to them with how they impacted the world. While they might for an episode or two for a two-parter, Charmed never really had these huge world-shattering storylines like with the Old Ones or the worldwide magic swap, so it bugged me bc it felt like a mismatch on the show's scale versus the comic's. I also was just kind of skeptical about bringing back fan favorites as often as it sounds like they did because it seemed fan-servicey to me. Also just random minor nitpicks that is a hundred and ten percent me being a hater (the Romeo & Juliet thing, everything about the Twice-Blessed destiny, etc.).

So, I may look into them but idk. However, if anyone is interested, I will actually sincerely recommend it because they genuinely sound really interesting! The storylines are incredibly unique, and the worldbuilding is so intriguing. There are a lot of favorites brought back, and I genuinely think that a lot of people will like the stories that they're given. There's also more on our s8 couples (Phoebe/Coop and Paige/Henry), and I'm always a sucker for them. I don't think that I'll be able to separate my hater hat long enough to give them a fair shake (which is v much on me and not on representing the comics), but I actually think a lot of people would like them.

 At rehearsal the next day, Eddie is a complete, flustered mess. From the moment he walks into the auditorium and sees Buck sitting up the front with Bobby, he can’t stop thinking about the feeling of Buck’s lips on his, the way Buck was grinding against him while pushing Eddie against the wall, or how Buck’s hands had run all over his body as if he were mapping it out. Eddie can’t stop watching Buck as he plays, which isn’t exactly a problem until Eddie’s thoughts run away with him. Buck’s cello is held tightly between his legs as he plays and Eddie can’t stop thinking about how much he wishes it was him between Buck’s thighs instead, those big quads squeezing him from every direction. He watches as Buck’s fingers tap incessantly against the fingerboard and he wonders what else Buck’s fingers can do, wonders how good they’d feel if they were curled inside him, tapping against his prostate as he slowly finger-fucks Eddie into oblivion. Eddie’s cock gives a hopeful twitch in his pants and he takes a deep, steadying breath, willing himself to calm down and think about something else. He’s a professional, for God’s sake, and he will not get an erection in the middle of rehearsal. He forces himself to think about wrinkly, old grandmas and mall Santa Clauses and definitely not the way Buck’s pecs are straining against the buttons of his shirt or the way he – “Eddie, are you with us?” Eddie’s brought from his thoughts with a jolt as he realises Bobby is looking at him with a mixture of annoyance and concern on his face and everything has suddenly gone silent. Fuck, he’s been so caught up in his fantasy that he’s missed his entry and now everyone is looking at him. His eyes flicker over to Buck and the bastard is smirking at him, slowly licking his lips as he looks Eddie up and down. “S-sorry Bobby, lost count” Eddie stammers and he can feel his face burning. If Bobby thinks Eddie’s acting weirdly, he doesn’t press it, but Eddie knows he’s got to pull himself together sharpish if he doesn’t want there to be any uncomfortable questions later.

The clock couldn’t be right. Buck left on his date around six hours ago.

Normally he’d be calling him to spill on how horribly things went and they’d laugh about it over inappropriate jokes. Anything to conceal the relief on Eddie’s voice.

Things went well this time, he thought, and his fists tightened. No. No.

He paced around the room for what seemed like days on end, only to find out it was seconds. He was losing his mind. Again.

“For fuck’s sake” he whispered, grabbing his wallet and keys in one sweep and leaving the apartment.

If Buck was going to be sleeping around, he’d have to face Eddie about it.
