"loquito, estas pensando que te ha llegado la neurosis, estas deprimido, sientes nostalgia, ira, frustracion, celos, ganas de llorar y hacer del cinco? y una necesidad furiosa de disfrazarte de torta cubana?"
I got a chance to read through some of the interview for their Voicestars thingy and they're both really cute! They talk about how they both feel super comfortable doing the Dangerous Reunion broadcast because they've known each other since their first semester at a voice acting school. They'd actually been in the same classes and studied together (at the park and Hirarins apt with other people). They also talked about how much trust they have in one another with Koni saying he knows Hirarin will reign him in if he goes too far and Hirarin saying Koni does a great job of helping him stay on topic or move to next one while he's speaking.
El doblaje de Koni-chan tiene una de las mejores tropicalizaciones, de mano de Lalo Garza, Moisés Iván Mora, Alfonso Obregón y Anette Ugalde.
Además con Shin'ichi Watanabe nada puede salir mal

Koni-chan's dubbing has one of the best tropicalisation from the hands of Lalo Garza, Moisés Iván Mora, Alfonso Obregón and Anette Ugalde.
With Shin'ichi Watanabe on the original anime, nothing could go wrong.
Sam's new "rabbit" year sale!!! Alternate outfit~ Sam
A Sam's new year's sale wouldn't be a Sam's new year's sale lol, without Sam's new year's outfit!!

If you want more info, these are the scenes that they're aparently talking about? (first chapter of shugo chara)
those are not camel toes, that's a thigh line.
... and those are clothes folds
Even with characters with leotards, like Yaya and her classmates in the ballet episode, what we see is the pelvis bone, not a camel toe (which honestly, weird and gross your mind jumped to that when it's obviously not)
irt upskirt shots:
all of amu's upskirt shots are censored, both in civilian clothes and transformations sans amulet heart; why? because its not underwear, it's cheerleader shorts. and most of them are, again, censored. (note how I'm already past chapter 6 of the manga, well into volume 2, since Amu doesn't transform until ch5)
The only upskirt found is one of the small throaway shots, which again, show no 'camel toe'
this is an aerial stunt, and also the whole reason cheeleaders have shorts in the first place (length of shorts varies depending on uniform and pp's illustrations)
This one 'panty shot', as Su puts it, is the second and last iteration of it happening (and what you see, again, isn't a camel toe, it's a butt line ffs), and is a common trope on kids' anime; including shin-chan (who has multiple actual butt flashing), koni-chan, and pompompurin wasn't even famous until they added a butthole to him, because it's funny to kids- the target audience.
Even Ran's upskirts shows the shorts stylized as a diaper-like bloomer
Unless you mean the anime? Let's check that out:
Chapter 1: all upskirt shots censored
Even when she's flying the skirt doesn't follow regular physics and covers her
Chapter 5 is the only chapter that has anything close to upskirts being revealing:
Now, let's look at Amu's outfits!
none of these look sexualized to me. Unless you think miniskirts; one of the biggest staples of jpn fashion, is inherently sexual?
as for the groping scen in ch1, funny how you mention it given I've already disavowed ikuto/amu multiple times, and I continue to disavow it to this day. The groping scene was thankfully toned down in the anime to just pickpocketing.
I know I said last time that this was the only time I replied to these kinds of asks but its not only weirding me out that someone would ever fathom of thinking of shugo chara as lolicon fodder but extremely angering that they'd try and make such easily disprovable claims. ESPECIALLY when shugo chara is a children's anime. It's like saying Shin-chan is pedo fodder or the creator's a shotacon because of the butt-based humour- a common trope in kids' animes because butts are funny to them.
Anyways, to make it clear, I have repeatedly criticized amu/ikuto and their interactions, have no merch of shugo chara, and have only been reading fan translations of the manga. If fanart of a childhood anime is going to make me a creep, might as well make all fans of sakura cardcaptor and sailor moon creeps as well- as if most of them didn't openly criticize the problematic things inside of them either.
If you're so bothered by me liking shugo chara or twst, please for the love of god just block me. I'm not going to have my internet experience soured by people who are only here to look for fights.
As a result of British colonization, most Hong Kongers have English names along side their Chinese names. However, since Hong Kong is not exactly an English speaking society, some of the names that parents choose for their children (or they choose themselves) may have unconventional spelling, sound like they're not "real names", or generally appear unusual to native English speakers. Which I find interesting because they follow "English name structures" without actually being English names.
Here are some examples I found as I was scrolling through the list of Miss Hong Kong Pageant winners, given in the format of [English name] - [traditional] / [simplified] ([jyutping] / [pinyin]) - jyutping is one of the most common ways of romanizing Cantonese (the language of Hong Kong) and pinyin is the standardized form of romanizing Mandarin. More under the cut!
I thought this was really fun. It's sort of lke this new trend of Americans stuffing in extra letters to common names, like turning "Jessica" into "Jessieighkah." They almost sound AI generated. List of pageants is from here and I couldn't find a single solid source about Hong Kong names so here's 1, 2 and 3!
