How I think "The Fantastic Four" should be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
I've heard all about "The Fantastic Four" being introduced in the MCU. Thanks to my friend, Christian Frates, I saw both Tim Story "Fantastic Four" movies. Here's a couple of ideas I was thinking the franchise should go.
CASTING CHOICES
Now, while everyone always dreamed about having John Krasinski and Emily Blunt being Mr. Fantastic and Susan Storm, at least be thankful that John Krasinski was Mr. Fantastic in "Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness", despite his limited screentime. I honestly don't care who portrays the characters, as long as they give off a decent performance, like how I learned from Christian (and other sources) that Michael Chiklis not only does the best portrayal of The Thing, he is The Thing (as seen in this behind the scenes video for the 2005 movie).
MY CONCEPT FOR THE FRANCHISE
Unlike what we've normally seen before with Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm getting their powers from the cosmic radiation during their Space travel, how about if instead, they were wiped out from the snap Thanos caused, and came back from the blip with their signature powers (Reed gaining elasticity, Susan turning invisible and creating force fields, Johnny being able to light his body on fire and fly, and Ben's body mutated as an orange rock monster.). The first movie would focus on their time after being revived during the events of "The Avengers 4: Infinity War: Part 2"/"The Avengers 4: Endgame".
And throughout each movie, we would have post credits scenes building up to Dr. Doom's impending arrival as the MCU's next big Thanos.
I don't know too much about the Fantastic Four's lore, but if anyone else does, feel free to comment suggestions. Also feel free to read about my concept for how I would imagine the MCU's fourth "Spider-Man Homecoming" movie by clicking here, as I have mentioned how I would have Peter Parker and Johnny Storm as roommates during Peter's first year at college, which would build up to Peter eventually knowing more about the Fantastic Four and possibly join them in at least one team-up movie.

"Surrender and let me end your suffering."
The words of The Scarlet Witch could hurt you inside, even though you were aware of that double meaning that she had used when speaking to you. It was your determination and your hope of being able to save your friends that were making you act in that way so little predictable and erratic, you may even later receive a strong scolding from Professor Xavier, but you would risk suffering the consequences if your colleagues remained unharmed by the attacks of that woman who wanted to get to the girl who was in your facilities and suddenly had landed in your universe.
You would never have believed that anyone was sufficiently consumed by the Darkhold until you met Wanda and heard about her from the new Doctor Strange who had magically appeared.
Suddenly, during your fantasy morning routine where you stay home for part of the day, you received an unexpected call from your best friend, Reed Richards, who informed you about the arrival of two people from a different universe, being something that didn't particularly catch your attention until he mentioned that one of them was a new Doctor Strange who wasn't yours; it didn't take you more than two minutes to be at the main base of The Illuminati, the group that had been formed with some of the masterminds of the known universe.
A new Doctor Strange was there, in front of your eyes, warning of a threat even greater than himself, much greater than any of the villains you'd once faced, and it wasn't until you saw Wanda Maximoff through the monitors installed in the base, that you finally got going to try to stop it.
Now the situation had gotten out of control and, in an attempt to make you see to what extent her power was aggressive enough. She had ended the life of one of your companions in the most horrifying way possible; Black Bolt, known to be the king of the Inhumans, tried to stop her with just a scream, obtaining death by disappearing his mouth and panicking about it, causing several of his organs to explode internally due to the loudness and strength of his voice and causing him to drop dead on the ground with half a skull cracked, leaving you all frozen, obviously preparing for the attack.
"I can't let you do this, even if your reason is fair enough," you murmured. "You may have lost loved ones, but it is no excuse to do this."
You could barely make out his bloody figure through the lightning you had both faced, merging the green coming from you with the red coming out of her hands, creating a continuous clash with your powers that had easily come to nothing; you were not the most powerful of your companions, you were aware of your limitations, but you knew that now you had to trust yourself more than ever to be able to defeat the villain, even if your life hung by a thread.
"Tell me you wouldn't like to be with the people you love," Wanda spoke as she gradually stopped her power, trying to make you understand that you should have a little truce. "Make me see that you are happy even if your wish is not fulfilled."
You understood that those words would bring with them some kind of proposal that, although it was true that you would reject instantly, at least you hoped that it would bring with it some kind of long and continuous talk that would allow the rest of your friends to put together a plan where you would come out winners or, failing that, you could run away with Cristine and the girl from another universe.
"What do you mean by that?" You asked, watching Reed take a step towards you out of the corner of your eye.
"I'll explain it to you if your friends don't interrupt us," she answered as he looked over your shoulder at Mr Fantastic, "tell them to stay calm, I have no intention of attacking while you don't do anything that could cause your death."
You took a long and shaky breath, afraid of doing something wrong, turning around so you could make eye contact with your teammates who seemed ready to attack at any moment to get you out of the situation. You made a sign with your hands to calm down and trust what you were about to do; these were critical moments, and unless you timed your words correctly, you knew it was very likely that within seconds you would all be dead.
"They won't attack," you assured, turning to the witch to be able to talk with her and give your companions time to come up with a good plan, "now explain what you meant by that."
Wanda extended her right hand towards you, obviously to take it, but it was Reed's hand that caused you to not be able to take a step towards the woman, seeing how he was worried and distrustful of the situation; you wanted to assure him that everything would be fine, that it would surely end in a matter of minutes and that Wanda would disappear by the magic of friendship or whatever absurd thing you could think of, but you were not even sure that you could get out of that situation alive.
Your thumb slid over his slowly to calm his nerves, feeling the warmth that his body gave off even with the suit on and allowing that sensation of tranquillity that his closeness would always have caused you to transfer to your body. Your eyes made contact with his, being able to distinguish that characteristic shine full of concern in him, but you gave him one of your sweet smiles that, somehow, relieved the tension he felt after having seen how willing you were to sacrifice your life for them and the multiverse.
Always, you didn't know how, you had had that special connection that you never managed to label, but that had always helped in situations where fear, pressure and tension were the protagonists.
Slowly, you let your hand slide through hers until you freed yourself from her grasp and walked towards The Scarlet Witch seriously and haughtily, hoping to cause some kind of intimidation in her, but her outstretched hand did not seem hesitant.
You didn't feel any kind of pain when you made contact with her, just a strong dizziness product of the trance in which she was submerging you thanks to her powers.
(…)
The strong dizziness, the product of Wanda's magic, made you look for something to hold on to, forcing you to move your hands to the first thing in front of you, finding yourself with the surprise of being clutched to the surface a whitish polka-dotted countertop blackish that you did not swear to have seen in your life, confusing you by the sudden change of scenery that had formed around you.
While you tried to control your breathing and regain your balance, you kept your eyes closed to calm down while you felt on your skin and fingertips the different sensations that the new scenario caused you. The coldness of the countertop with the warmth that it crawled slowly through your body, it made you understand that you were in a house, specifically in a kitchen.
And you were not wrong.
Around you, you could see a huge refrigerator, the ceramic hob, several upper shelves where large crockery was proudly displayed and a large number of drawers where the utensils to make different types of meals should be found, in addition to the electronic devices around you they could point out that you weren't in your usual home because you'd never had enough money to have a kitchen this big with all that knick-knack, and if you'd had enough money, it never really appealed to you to live in a mansion with a huge kitchen. You had never seen that room, you were not able to recognize it and, even if you tried to say where you were, there was nothing else besides the magnets on the fridge that could give you a clue.
You were completely lost.
You looked at yourself and the soft pyjamas you were wearing made you smile because at least the clothes looked familiar to you and you couldn't help but be happy that something seemed familiar to you, of course, it was the small and simple ring on your left hand what confused you. You knew that the engagement one was on the right, the married one on the left, but you swore you hadn't been with anyone in recent years and you weren't completely ready for someone to propose to you.
"Sweetie?"
That voice, usually strong and self-confident, now sweet and calm, made your heart melt, especially because of the affectionate nickname that had come from her lips.
There, behind you and on the other side of the huge table that ran through the kitchen, was the tall figure of Reed who, worried that he had called you a couple of times from the living room and had not received any answer except for the fall of something similar to a plate, had approached the kitchen to see if something had happened to you while you were putting what was in the dishwasher, finding with the surprise that there was one of the plates shattered on the floor, possibly having broken when you had reached that illusion.
"What?"
The whisper coming from your lips worried him even more that maybe you had hit yourself and had a concussion but, rounding the centre kitchen table, he found the little mess at your feet, making him smile when he saw his suspicions had been confirmed. You had broken a plate and you intended to throw it before he did, as had happened to you the previous four times.
"If you needed help, you just had to tell me," he said before moving closer to the pottery on the floor, reaching his hand toward your head so he could slowly stroke your hair. "You haven't cut yourself, have you?"
Nothing came out of your mouth but unintelligible murmurs, causing the characteristic laugh that had always caused butterflies in your stomach to come out of him.
"I'm fine," you assured me when you noticed his extensible hands at the height of your waist that helped you to sit on the counter, "I can do it."
"I'm sure of that," he spoke, placing himself between your legs and avoiding the pieces of the broken plate to be closer to you, "but I don't want you to cut yourself, again."
That innate concern in him made you happy because you felt for a moment that he especially cared for you, but he left you speechless when he gently planted his lips on yours, creating a short but sweet kiss that caused you to turn red in a matter of seconds, plus his subsequent wink at the state he had left you in made you stutter.
"You've dreamed of this a million times, right?
The female voice next to you alerted you, making you hurry down from the counter to bump into Reed, who suddenly vanished in a cloud of red, leaving him disoriented and worried.
"What is this?" You asked with fear, taking a couple of steps back to put a little distance between you and the witch.
"This has always been your dream, to have a life with him, hasn't it?" She questioned, making you groan under your breath. "Don't get defensive, I just want to let you know that if you help me get America's powers I can give you this life in another universe."
"I know that dreams are windows to another universe, and I would love to be with him, but I am aware that something very bad would happen," you spoke. "What would I do with myself from that universe? I couldn't destroy it and I doubt Reed would be foolish enough to think that I in my universe is the same as his."
"Your self in this universe wouldn't know about it," she intervened. "It wouldn't destroy itself, you'd just take over his body, so you wouldn't need to kill anyone,” she explained. "You would replace her, you would have his life and everything you ever wanted, the man of your dreams and the loved family and, honestly, I would never intervene in it if you agree to help me."
Wanda's proposal was clear: Your most cherished desire in exchange for a betrayal.
(…)
You suddenly opened your eyes, blinking a few times as you felt Wanda's hands slide through yours until they released you, allowing you to take a step back and have some space to come back to yourself.
"I understand that you want to offer me something that you also yearn for," you began. "You want to be with the people you love, but this is not the way, and even if you try to trick me into helping you by offering me the life I want, I would never betray the people I love, I don't care what universe it is in."
Wanda frowned.
"You should understand my pain," she spoke angrily, her voice trembling and her eyes turning red. "He will never love you in this universe, you will never find happiness being here, and I can give it to you if you help me."
"I don't care," you said, "as long as he's happy, so am I."
For Wanda that was the trigger, she knew that you would never be on her side.
The Illuminati had been able to observe and listen to your interaction with Wanda and, although they had not been able to see what you had experienced nor had they been able to observe your facial expressions, they were aware of that wish that you wanted so much to fulfil and that you could not achieve in the first place this universe and they only had to look at Reed to realize that he had understood it too. You only had to see the way you looked at him to know that all you wanted was to be with the man of your dreams, even if it was too late for that.
The group, hearing your words, confirmed their suspicions, and it was the explosion of light that almost made them fall to the ground because both you and Wanda, in an attempt to do your jobs, pushed your powers to the maximum to defeat the other, causing not only everything around you to tremble but also your physique to change; auras of different colours surrounded you and your eyes shone with intensity to the point where perfectly, in a dark room, it could be the only thing that would be seen.
"Go away, I won't be able to contain her for the rest of my life!"
Your voice, louder than ever this time, startled the heroes, causing them to look at each other.
"What do you mean?" Carter asked. "We are a team. We stand together."
"And I refuse to let you die like Black Bolt!" You exclaimed, holding your hands out in front of you. "The only thing I ask of you is that you go away, it's the only thing I want most right now!"
Reed, who was closest to you, could distinguish the small tears that came out of your eyes and that disintegrated in the air as a result of the shock wave that had remained since this second attack began, so he only looked at his companions to make them understand that they should try to save you, create some kind of distraction so that you could run away with them because, as expected, he would never leave you behind.
"We can't leave," Reed spoke up. "We can defeat her if we unite."
"Without a plan, we can't do anything," Captain Marvel murmured as she bit her lower lip. "It's the only way."
"She's asking us to abandon her," Richard intervened again, seeing how you backed away a few centimetres from your initial position due to the lack of strength you were beginning to have, "we can't leave her here."
Both women were struggling internally.
They were aware that you couldn't fight Wanda alone, that they could help you save the multiverse, but it was also true that they had no battle plan to fight against that witch and that they could all die trying; in any of the different situations, someone died.
Reed didn't want his best friend to die, but he couldn't take down Wanda with you alone.
"What are you waiting for!?"
Your screams, exclamations and growls finally made them make up their minds, and they would be miserable for the rest of their lives for not being able to save your life, but they also knew your limitations, and they knew you wouldn't last much longer on your feet.
Time was running out for them.
The women watched your static figure in the middle of the room, just going to the main lab without saying goodbye knowing that it would be too much for them to leave you there, and they already felt selfish for having promised to protect the entire universe but not being able to protect you.
Reed, on the other hand, watched your petite figure struggle against the force that Wanda was exerting on you without any shred of compassion while you stood with very little stability. You were getting further and further behind, and you were reaching a point where you couldn't take it anymore, where you were ready to accept your fate and surrender to Wanda, but seeing your friend's tear-filled eyes was what surprised you.
You thought one last look back wouldn't hurt but seeing him fall apart was the worst thing you've ever seen in your life.
"Reed!" You called out to him, seeing how he seemed to crumble inside just by looking at you. "Everything will be fine!"
"You're going to die," he murmured, but he said it loud enough for you to hear, making you laugh for a moment at the implausibility of the situation.
"Don't look at it that way, okay? I'm just going to materialize in another universe," you declared, surprising him, by the positive vision you had. "You'll be fine, Reed, and so will I, don't worry".
The man felt how rivers of tears came out of his eyes and rolled down his bushy cheeks, feeling angry about what was happening and not being able to control it.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered, running his hands over his face.
He didn't want to see your hopeful eyes, bright and full of sympathy and affection towards him, he knew he didn't deserve it after having made you suffer for so many years; he was aware of your feelings, that he would not reciprocate them was another matter, but he hated himself for not having been able to make you happy or for having told you that he did not reciprocate you so that you would have moved on, but he preferred to keep you with him than to lose you forever.
The thought of him made her turn so she could head toward the lab, but it was your voice that stopped her.
"Reed," you called him for the last time, seeing how he turned to look at you, "don't be sad, everything will be fine, give Susan my regards."
That was her farewell, and he was not able to tell you anything for fear of breaking.
While Reed ran towards the laboratory, helping his companions to break the small window where America was, a loud explosion was heard coming from the room where you were, being able to distinguish your body among all the smoke that ascended little by little towards the ceiling to then fall with great force towards the ground several times, surprising the heroes who watched the scene in panic and terror.
Although everyone had lost a friend and was shocked, they never knew that you passed away with a smile thinking that you were happy with the man you loved in another universe.

Multiverse of Madness spoiler ahead!

Something I wish would’ve happened in the movie is during the scene in which Wanda confronts the Illuminati and Reed Richards tells her that he has children of his own and understands her pain. Wanda proceeds to ask if their mother is still alive and Reed says yes. Imagine after Wanda responds with “Good. There will be someone left the raise them” John Krasinski breaks the fourth wall and looks at the camera like:

I’m sorry but the illuminati scenes were a real swing and a miss in terms of casting apart from John Krasinski (I was so happy, he’s the perfect Reed and they better keep in for the F4 movie) and Patrick Stewart. There was a real opportunity to do something creative and it was a blunder? Captian Carter (no from me.) Like IMAGINE if we had gotten a Hydra version fo Steve, who had defected and was good? Captian Marvel (swing and miss) I would have much preferred another version of Iron Man (Tom Cruise especially). They had a chance to have fun with it, and I really feel like it fell flat and really they were the only variants (minus Wanda, Stephen and Christine) in the movie. I expected more from a movie that has multiverse in the damn title.

Wandavision ep 7 spoilers!!!!
Ugh wasn’t this just the best episode? It truly truly was, from style to content. We had a musical number, a mid-credits scene, superhero landing, character reveal. We been fed. Obviously we knew that Agnes was Agatha Harkness but her little reveal was amazing. And the mid-credits scene that I didn’t even know I’d been craving! Delicious!
I don’t know what’s gonna happen next but I’ve got that little bad feeling that Billy & Tommy are about to be dead. Hopefully not but never say never. Maybe that will be the thing that pushes Wanda from “maybe im evil” to “fuck this asshole where are my kids” because just imagine a Wanda, Vision, Monica, Pietro/Peter team up with Darcy in the back cheering them on. I want it. I really honestly thought there was gonna be a new character this episode but maybe next time (yes I was convinced by the Reed Richards coming in played by John Krasinski theory tied with The Office style opening sequence) and now that things are kicking off I’m all in. Still got my fingers crossed for Hayward’s death because it’s what he deserves!!! But until next time. Hopefully more and more answers coming up next week!!
(Side note: I hope woo is gonna be okay out there on his own :((( all his friends are off being model citizens and he’s just vibing with some strangers. And it is now officially the MCWoo / RPCU)

Best Guesses For Mystery Actor in WandaVision
Tumblr media
In recent interviews, both Wanda and Vision leads, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, said a new mystery guest will arrive in WandaVision. Bettany mentiomed that he’s been looking forward to working with the unknown actor, confirming that Bettany hadn’t worked with whoever it is in the past. This is a huge clue!
I’m also taking one other clue into mind. In episode 5 of WandaVision, Wanda shocked us by bringing her dead brother, Pietro (aka Quicksilver) back to life and replacing the original with an actor from the Fox X-Men universe: Evan Peters. This must mean that other characters may be replaced or added by bringing on previous X-men characters already seen on film. This obviously opens up a means to tie-in Deadpool and any other mutants from the X-men films.
Tumblr media
We know Ryan Reynolds recently signed a contract with Disney which earned him the largest amount ever paid to an actor in MCU history (bigger than RDJ’s paycheck!). Deadpool is a mutant. So it would make sense if he were to appear in WandaVision as a way to hilariously connect the previous phases with phase 4. It would stand to reason that Disney wants to get as much Reynolds as they can for what they’ve paid. Also, Bettany has never worked with Reynolds since their superhero portrayals took place under different production companies in the past. Reynolds is certainly an obvious choice for an appearance.
Tumblr media
Sir Patrick Stewart has continued to impress with his recent CBS series placing him back in the role of Jean Luc Picard of the Star Trek universe. Sir Stewart has always been a stand-up guy who’s demanded attention with his commanding roles on screen. If not him, then Disney may be eyeing Sir Ian Mckellen given his also impressive career on stage and in film. His most obvious achievements being Magneto in the X-Men films and Gandalf in Lord of the Rings and Hobbit franchises. Seeing as Bettany hasn’t worked with either of these two, they may be invited to appear in the season finale.
Tumblr media
John Krasinski is a fella who’s gained attention when it was announced he’s talking with Disney to play Mr. Fantastic in the reboot of Fantastic Four. Personally, I can’t imagine a better couple than John Krasinski and Emily Blunt playing the duo on film. There’s been speculation about a line in episode 4 of WandaVision. In that episode, Rambeau announces that she knows an astrophysicist that may be able to help her solve the Wanda problem. Many folks believe this is a reference to Reed Richards. If so, this could be the introduction of Susan Storm as well.
Tumblr media
Of the choices out there, I personally believe Benedict Cumberbatch is the most likely to appear. I’m sure many of you are saying “but Bettany and Cumberbatch worked together in Infinity War. So it can’t be him!” My reply - take a step back and think again. Did they actually work together? Were they ever in a shot together? I’ve rewatched all Avengers films and I can’t find one scene they have together where they actually needed to interact in their roles with dialogue. There are plenty of Reddit discussions that have addressed this with the same conclusion: the two actors NEVER share a scene together. We also know that Wanda will play a large role in the upcoming Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness film. We also heard from Olsen that WandaVision will lead directly into the Doctor Strange sequel. So my bet is Benedit Cumberbatch is the upcoming mystery man to show up in WandaVision.

Baxter Brilliance
There are whispers all over that John Krasinski met with Marvel for Mr. Fantastic. That sh*t makes the same amount of sense as RDJ for Iron man or Chris Evans for Cap. Straight up inspired casting. If this is true, Phase 5 might be getting off to a pretty legit start. Now, i'm curious who they get for Doom. I mean, you make an FF film, you gotta have Doom. From what i hear, they’re going straight issue one with Mole Man ass the main villain, which is fine, but, come on? No Doom is like a Batman franchise with no Joker, a Superman franchise with no Luthor, and a Spider-Man franchise with no Goblin. You NEED Doom. Hell, the interaction between Reed and Victor drives that narrative. It’s absolutely the heart of those books. If Halpert really gets the nod and straps up those stretchy boots, who has the presence to carry that Latverian juice?
Personally, I was of the mind that Mads Mikkelsen was perfect for Victor but they blew that load for Doc Strange. Kaecilius, while entertaining, was a waste. To under use Mads so haphazardly is a legit crime. Dan Stevens? He's got the look. Dude’s are are mad intense and he plays mania very well. Legion is the best audition available for this type of part. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau? Jamie Lannister was pretty good on Thrones and i imagine playing a vain megalomaniac would be a cake walk after that. Mike Fassbender might be as perfect for this role as Mads but, again, blown prematurely all over Magneto. I’ve seen cats mention David Tennant, Mark Strong, and Vigo Mortensson; All of which are very interesting choices, particularly Strong. Ten and Aragorn are nice looks but, i mean, Mr. Antagonist, Mark Strong, himself, might be the best option. F*cking Mark Strong? Dude was Sinestro but, i mean, it's f*cking Mark Stronk! Who else, outside of Mads and Shark-tooth Grin can embody this role so perfectly? Rami Malek.
Now, you might be thinking, “Ryan, What the f*ck, buddy?” but hear me out. Mark Strong has that presence. He looks the part. I grant you that. Dude is an exceptional actor as well. Another feather in his cap. Strong is also tall as sh*t. John’s given height is 6′3″. Stronk’s is 6′2″. Rami is definitely shorter than both of these dudes, by a good amount. Again, Mark Strong is a brilliant choice and i would not be mad about that casting at all. However, Doom is in a full body of armor complete with mask. Anyone can play that part. Rami can play that part especially knowing all of the tricks learned from RDJ’s Iron Man. That makes the height thing irrelevant. I like the Malek look, especially considering the geographical location of Latveria in the books and Doom’s Romani origins. I like the fact that Rami can play subtle psychopath as he did in Mr. Robot. If that’s not enough, we’re going to get one hell of a litmus test in the next Bond flick. Rumors are swirling he’s going to be Dr. No, the quintessential mad scientist of the 007 mythos, with just a touch more physicality than his predecessor. I like that the juxtaposition in physical difference. It can be mitigated in the intellectual execution contrast. Reed can be played as smart but reckless, thus the Four’s accidental empowerment. Doom can be played as smart but reserved, thus his animosity to the wildly dangerous Richards. Have an accident when they were young, scarring the already barely stable Doom and you have a lifelong antagonist to plague your hero; One just as smart, if not smarter. One amenable to committing atrocities in the pursuit of bringing Richards to task. One willing to accept things outside of reason and science to accomplish his goals. These two actors playing in that emotional sandbox? F*ck yeah!
Krasinski wants Mr. Fantastic and i think he’ll be excellent in the role. H e wanted Cap but they went with Evans instead. Back then, he was just Jim Halpert. Snarky, hipster hot, Paper pushing, James Halpert. Cats gave him the hard pass. That was before he was Bayhem-ified and got the Jack Ryan role. Ever since, Jim has been rolling. It helps, tremendously, that Chris Pratt made good with Star-Lord. Dude transformed for that role and it paid off tremendously not only for the character but for the MCU as a whole. I think Krasinski has the potential to be just as revolutionary, especially considering the expanded world the MCU is looking to create going forward. Also, just personal taste, gotta be Beard Richards. Dude looks good with the scruff, just sayin’.

9. Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?
Late munday questions answered fndkfnjfdnjk adulting is hard
Do I enjoy putting Reed through angst --- to be completely honest??? nOPE. with a little bit of extra nOPE in my coffee thanks :V
All kidding aside I actually believe the Four has been through enough. Like, let’s take a summary of the big events that have really REALLY freaking traumatized them.
1) going to space and getting blasted by cosmic rays, physically being altered then having to not only work through that but also face it. Like, their NASA shuttle made it back to earth battered, probably on fire and stumbling out of the wreckage there’s Reed, who can’t probably walk or move properly cause he feels like literal silly putty, susan can’t see herself, johnny’s just ON FIRE and Ben’s this thing made of god knows what kind of astral rock and just. Yeah. I can’t even begin to process how you’d react to going through something that traumatic. anyways, somehow they do.
2) Victor. I don’t even need to compile all the stuff he’s done to Reed emotionally and physically but the fact that he’s blamed Reed, for every failure, every fuck up in his life. That’s a lot to deal with. I think probably at one point Reed might have even blamed himself. What if I did? What if I completely destroyed a person’s opportunity to be great? A person’s possibility? Man, I’ll come back to that cause yeah. It’s a huge, huge feel and aspect of my interpretation of this character.
3) Civil War. Wow, I won’t even recount the comics cause they’re pretty messed up. But basically Reed’s marriage and his team, his family, almost falls entirely apart. Sue sides with Captain America. Reed sides with Tony. It’s a mess. Poor Johnny and Ben are on the sidelines like Sue and Reed’s children like MOM DAD PLEASE DON’T FIGHT. It’s hard for Reed to talk about and he’s apologized since but he still stands by the fact anything he did, he did with the best interest of his family in mind. How people can’t see that is beyond me.
4) Though not apart of the films I’ve developed my own timelines/verses/headcanons about Reed and his family during Infinity War and Endgame. Reed and Sue basically lose their family in the snap. That’s probably the most angsty thing I’ve ever developed for his character. I took inspiration from the film A Quiet Place that John Krasinski (my faceclaim for Reed’s) in and the quote “if we can’t protect them - then who are we?” like the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent is the loss of a child. Imagine losing two. And your brother in law. And your best friend. Unlike in Civil War though I imagine Reed and Sue would gravitate towards one another fiercely because couples usually do that or distance each other from themselves completely when they lose a child.
There’s more things to happen to the team canonically wise, sure but those are my top four most dramatic/angsty in a sense?
As for what would break Reed’s heart the most, I can list it right here:
- The loss of an immediate family member. Certain issue’s of the FF have shown Reed doesn’t deal with loss well, especially one in battle he felt he should have been able to prevent.
- Failure. Although it’s cheesy, the quote failure is not an option is a quote my muse feels deeply. He’s so guilt ridden about previous colossal mistakes he’s made that he feels he has to make amends forever and prevent anything of the sort from happening again. This is where his need to fix everyone’s problems and people please comes from too.
- Keeping someone from reaching their full potential. Reed’s said so many times to people he dreams of making a better world and helping people reach their goals and dreams. That’s why he started the future foundation, to give children access to unbiased education and something to reach for. That’s why he can’t bring himself to ever really hurt or kill victor because he questions: what if something I said or did really DID hurt him? Or stop his development? What if everything that’s ever happened to my family is all MY FAULT? So he keeps cutting victor slack and hoping, maybe someday he’ll see he never meant to discourage him from greatness, he just wanted to see him become the best version of himself. Something great AND good.

Since Marvel Acquired 21st Century Fox, I have some ideas for Black Panther 2...
Here’s what I think BP2 should be like since Disney Acquired Fox.
First off, I’m totally on the Namor (Atlantis) vs Black Panther (Wakanda) bandwagon.
I think initially the movie should start with the two Kings and nations working to be allies. But after an attack of some kind (maybe a tsunami), that is believed to have been done by Atlantis, the two nations erupt in an all out war.
Instead of portraying Namor as a big bad evil villain, he is shown to be a King just as honorable as T’challa who wanted to avoid war but is just doing what he has to in order to protect his people.
T’challa recognizes this, as well as his some of his own less reputable decisions, and soon begins regretting retaliating so quickly. But right as he and Namor are both on the verge of peace talks, an attack takes place that kills his one true love, Nakia (I’ll explain my reasoning to this later). Simultaneously another attack takes place in Atlantis (maybe an explosion) and someone close to Namor (maybe one of his children or his wife. Or both.) is killed as well, making both kings become angry and vengeful (think T’challa in Civil War x10). This results in the two kings personally going head to head in what needs to be one of the best one on one fights in the entire history of the MCU.
This fight scene needs to be fucking EPIC! Black Panther needs to redeem itself in action sequences after that CGI shit show from the first one. It needs to be mostly practical stunts with Namor and T’challa going hard as fuck on one another. I mean just seriously wailing the shit out of each other. Beating each other to bloody fucking pulps. T’challa comes out on top, because this is his movie, and right before he’s about to kill Namor he realizes that Namor has basically given up and wants to be killed. Namor tells him that the recent attack in Atlantis killed someone close to him. T’challa, tells him he never ordered an attack in Atlantis and Namor tells him he never ordered one in Wakanda and that the initial attack that started the war wasn’t Atlantis’ doing. The two finally begin to realize that they’re being played by an outside force.
Who is this outside force?
None other than Victor Von Doom.
This is where the Disney/Fox deal comes into play. And since a Fantastic 4 reboot is inevitable this would be the perfect way to introduce them into the MCU.
Anyway, it turns out that Victor already has his powers and is already the monarch of Latveria. This way when they do a Fantastic Four reboot its of an already established team instead of another origin story.
Doom is beginning his conquest to take over the world and sees his two biggest obstacles as Wakanda and Atlantis. Instead of attempting to take them out one by one on his own, he concocts a plan to pit the two nations against each other. He plans on making one wipe out the other and then taking on the winner while they’re still weak from the war.
Realizing that the war was completely orchestrated by someone else, T’challa and Namor, Wakanda and Atlantis, ban together to take down Doctor Doom. In the end, Doom is defeated and the two Kings agree to work together to rebuild both their kingdoms.
Before I go into why Nakia needs to die, let me first say I love both Nakia and Lupita deeply. But it needs to happen in the story for a number of reasons.
First because someone close to T’challa has to die to push him to the edge and it has to be someone that makes him completely irrational. Shuri can’t die. She just can’t. When it comes to Queen Mother or Okoye, the support of both Shuri and Nakia would be enough to keep him grounded. But if Nakia dies, he would be alone in his grief. Yes, Shuri, Okoye, and Queen Mother all cared for Nakia but T’challa is in love with her. No one else would understand losing Nakia in the way T’challa has. It’d be the thing that pushes him to his breaking point.
Another reason is with the Fox Merger there are going to be a huge group of fans that want Storm with T’challa and because of that it’d create an amount of unwarranted resentment and animosity against Lupita and Nakia that neither deserves. This way Storm and T’challa could possibly get together. The third reason is going to be explained as I talk about the end credit scenes so stay tuned.
I have an idea for two end credit scenes which is usually the norm.
The first end credit scene would be Doom in a cell in Wakanda’s prison. He would give this long monologue about how he can’t be contained and how he’ll break out and take over the world. T’challa just laughs and tells him, “you’re not staying here”. When Doom asks where he’s going T’challa answers he’ll being staying with one of his [Doom’s] old friends. Then out of the shadows steps a man who‘s face isn’t shown to us. Victor rolls his eyes and groans out the name of the man, “Reed”. They turn the camera and show us the face of Mr.Fantastic (who better be played by John Krasinski). Credits roll.
The second end credit scene shows someone in the tombs of Wakanda (I imagine them mummifying their dead Egyptian style). In a barely noticeable quick shot you see that N’jadaka (Erik Killmonger) tomb has been opened before they get to the tomb of Nakia. A mysterious and unknown person (most likely Threnody but could be anyone) is singing a creepy song while stroking Nakia’s face. The women suddenly says something like “Awaken” and Nakia opens her eyes and gasps. Credits roll.
Then in part three you not only have a revived Killmonger as the big bad but Nakia as Malice along with whoever is responsible for bringing them back to life. But that’s an entirely different post.

LESSON 4: MARVEL’S NEXT VILLAIN
Before I get into it, I gotta say:
@SAVAGECOMICS IS THE ORIGINAL ARTIST RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS PHENOMENAL PIECE OF JOHN KRASINSKI AS REED RICHARDS AND I IN NO WAY AM TAKING CREDIT FOR IT. SERIOUSLY, THIS GUY’S GALLERY IS UNPARALLED.
Now with that outta the way, hey and Welcome to the next Lesson.
Tumblr media
Comic-Con was just a few short weeks ago and it’s easy to say Marvel absolutely dominated this year. Kevin Fiege took center stage and they unveiled the projects they have set for what they’re dubbing Phase 4.
While most titles are worth a looksee, what caught my attention was what wasn’t seen.
FANTASTIC 4.
Now back at home with Marvel, there’s a solid chance that we’ll finally get the first family done properly, but not only done properly done better than we could ever imagine.
Tumblr media
With the Mad Titan, Thanos, now defeated, the MCU effectively doesn’t have a major villain for the Avengers to defeat…
...or do they?
It’s widely known that MCU films are taking inspiration from the ULTIMATE line of comics and on that Earth, the Fantastic 4 are very, VERY different.
Namely, Reed Richards.
Tumblr media
While most may know him as Mr. Fantastic, in the ULTIMATE COMICS, he’s The Maker, by far one of comics’ worst villains, PERIOD.
Not only is his skin elastic-like, making physical damage an impossibility, but with a brain like his, he’s able to make anything anyone can think of, and everything they can’t. He made creations that even put Thor to shame.
Reed Richards of Earth-1610 is NOTHING to trifle with…which is EXACTLY why the MCU needs to make him their next villain and something tells me they already are.
Tumblr media
JONATHAN HICKMAN, writer of Marvel Comics fame, has had a plethora of titles underneath his belt one of them most notably being Secret Wars (2015).
If you’re familiar with that story, you’d know he had a great deal to do with the fate of the Fantastic Four, of both Earths. Now, Marvel contacted him to course correct the condition of the X-Men in their comics with two new ongoing titles: “House of X” and “Powers of X”, and he had a few choice words to say when it came to the Marvel films, too.
Tumblr media
“I think one of the big mistakes that some people make at Marvel Comics is that we are reactive to what they’re doing in the Marvel films… We should not be taking our creative cues from the direction they’re taking things in the movies. That kind of defeats the point. My argument has been [that]  I should always be way out in front of that stuff. All of that stuff is being drawn from source material.” – Jonathan Hickman 2019
While not a confirmation, Hickman does have a point. Marvel Comics showed signs of decrease in sales after modeling the Guardians of the Galaxy after their MCU counterparts.
It’s always better to model the films after the comics.
Which is why Reed would make the PERFECT villain.
Tumblr media
Unlike Thanos, Richards doesn’t need Infinity Gems to unleash universal domination. Sheer brainpower alone has made him a far bigger threat. Not only can he create devices that can depower our heroes, but he can even expand his brain for even greater intellect.
Whatever plan, strategy or potential outcome Thanos could come up with, there’s no doubt Reed has already factored it, found out why it wouldn’t work but built a contingency for it just in case.
Tumblr media
Reed Richards, or rather the Maker, would be the posterchild for a tragedy of a fallen hero, always wanting to be good, but never good enough and while a lot of Phase 4 is uncertain, I can’t wait to see what becomes of Marvel’s future foundation.
Well, that’s all for now. So, until the Disney stops making Live-Action remakes or I get as smart as Reed Richards, I’ll see you for the next lesson.
Until then, class dismissed!

Singer-songwriter and producer Calica is a breath of fresh air in today’s indie pop scene. Her masterful vocal delivery paired with expertly crafted melodies transport the listener to a synth-pop paradise. Calica’s lyrics are cheeky and relatable, yet deliberate and intelligent. Her takes on love, loss and self-empowerment are boldly refreshing.
In April of 2020, she began posting on TikTok, and in just 6 months, garnered over 250k followers, 3.5M Likes, and over 10M views. Her ability to flip songs into different genres sparked her popularity on the app. But most notably, her single, Little Girl, went viral after posting a Tiktok of her father’s reaction to the song. The video was viewed over 3.7M times, and shared across acclaimed media outlets such as E!News and John Krasinski’s: Some Good News. Since then, Calica’s fanbase has grown exponentially. Listeners often reach out to share how connected they feel to her and her music.
Tumblr media
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Calica began taking piano and voice lessons at the early age of six. After attending various performing arts schools, she graduated from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. After graduation, Calica began writing and producing alongside Grammy-nominated producer duo SMLE. They collaborated on her debut album “Yes, Its About You”, and her two singles “Superficial Love” and “Little Girl”. Currently, Calica is writing & producing for herself as well as for other artists and brands. She is looking forward to releasing more music in 2021 and exploring new sounds & genres.
At the age of just 17, Chicago native Daniel Loumpouridis reached a major career milestone as the co-writer and co-producer of Louis The Child’s breakout single, “It’s Strange (ft. K.Flay)”. The record garnered millions of streams and multiple features including placements on the FIFA 16 soundtrack, Netflix’s hit show Dear White
People, and a national Nissan automotive ad campaign. Loumpouridis earned endorsements from the likes of Taylor Swift, T-Pain and Lorde for the song which soon became a certified gold record, currently with 75 million streams on Spotify.
In college, Daniel discovered his knack for developing up-and-coming artists when the first EP he produced for a peer caught the ear of Ricky Reed and his label, Nice Life Records. His production and co-writing work for another fellow student, indie singer ZOLA, landed the young songstress a deal with KIDinaKORNER/Universal after her debut EP, Everything I Know, was discovered by Grammy nominated producer/label owner Alex Da Kid (Rihanna/Imagine Dragons/Eminem).
Shortly after graduation, Loumpouridis stepped forward with his own creative projects. As an independent artist, he grew his audience organically with over 4 million total plays on SoundCloud and Spotify. The debut EP of his side project, Loom:ngs, received worldwide in-store playlisting from H&M while garnering accolades from indie tastemakers like the UK's Neon Music, evangelizing the project as "an album that blurs the lines of what music can be... a deep kind of poetic justice as detailed as a delicate painting". This project also spurred the impromptu co-sign from Wyclef pictured on the right.
Most recently, he scored the Netflix series Harvey Girls and co-wrote the title track for Nick Leng's debut LP, LEMONS, which has already amassed over 2 million streams on Spotify.
Whether he is working on his own artistry or taking on the many roles of musician, producer, musical director, writer and arranger for others, Daniel Loumpouridis continually brings his powerfully progressive aesthetic, both behind the board and in front of it.

John Krasinski Would Still Love To Play Mr. Fantastic in Marvel's Upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR Movie
Tumblr media
One of the big movies that Marvel Studios is currently developing is Fantastic Four. Now that they finally have the rights to the property back, fans can’t wait to see what they do with it because we know that Marvel is actually going to make sure we get a great adaptation!
There’s been a lot of talk and speculation among fans regarding John Krasinski and how he would be a perfect fit for Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. We don’t know if the actor is being considered for the role or not, but if he is, Krasinski would love to do it!
In a recent interview with Total Film, Krasinski talked about potentially taking on the role, saying:
"You’re like, 'Do you have any interest in not shattering people’s dreams?’ I would love to be in the Marvel universe. I love those movies because they’re fun, but I also think they’re really well done. And certainly a lot of my friends are in those movies. I have no idea what [Marvel] are thinking. But if they are considering me for Mr. Fantastic, continue to consider me because I would love it."
When asked if he would consider directing a Marvel movie, the actor/director said, "Oh man, directing one of those things? I don't think I'm your guy. But if I was to act in one? I'd have so much fun."
I think he’s selling himself short. I think he would be a solid choice to direct a Marvel film. As for him playing Mr. Fantastic, he would be perfect for the role and it seems like a lot of fans would love to see him take it on. As many of you know, he almost landed the role of Captain America before Chris Evans landed the role, so I imagine that Marvel is still keen with working with him on something,
Would you like to see Krasinski play Mr. Fantastic in Fantastic Four?

9 MARVEL CHARACTERS I WANT TO SEE IN THE CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
Just spitballing for fun here!
To celebrate September 9th, here are 9 Marvel Heroes I would like to see making their debut in the next phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe. By MCU, that means for the movies... NOT for TV. I'm not saying because the TV side is... bad (even if I do lean towards that conclusion, it would be a subjective opinion), but I just don't think TV would be able to do justice with these characters due to various constraints (budget, VFX quality, etc).
It's already widely reported that the 2019 "UNTITLED Avengers" will serve as the culmination of MCU since 2008. That means, the door to welcome new characters and IPs would be wide open. So these are the names I would like to see getting the spotlight, and perhaps, assemble into a new set of Avengers. One might easily notice that the names I'm including here are characters from the animated "Avengers Assemble" series. That's actually... INTENTIONAL. One, because that means Marvel Studios obviously has the rights to use them (or at least partially, like the Spider-Man characters). And two, because I want this post to have a similar look and feel. But I'm NOT leaving behind other characters who have yet to show up in that series. That's why there's a special 'Bonus' section afterwards... (^^)v
Now that the explanation is out of the way, let's start right away! Here they are, in alphabetical order:
Agent Venom
Coincidentally, the first one is already a tricky situation. Eugene "Flash" Thompson is a Spider-Man character, so the rights to him is owned by SONY. That company is already working on a "Venom" movie that might not (or might?) be part of the MCU, with Tom Hardy as the lead. On the other hand, a modern-bully version of Flash has already debuted in the MCU via this year's "Spider-Man: Homecoming", as brought to life by Tony Revolori. Of course, the prospect of seeing a talented actor like Revolori becoming a headlining hero, is just too good to ignore. Mind you, it might take him a very long time (until after the high school characters graduate?) before arriving in a possible bittersweet situation (in the comics, Flash had to lose his legs first). But overall, Marvel Studios has already sown the seed for Agent Venom's debut. I can only hope this idea will be realized somewhere in the future...
Hercules
Odd choice, huh? But hear me out. We haven't had a great Hercules movie for a long time (my favorite was still Disney's animated-musical version, and it differed massively from the mythology). So why not leave it to Marvel Studios to do justice for the figure, and make a HUGE name out of him? The comic version of Hercules Panhellenios is a struggling, washed-out, unemployed hero, who spends his time slacking around and being a disappointment to others. True to his metaphorical title as a fierce male lion, huh? This situation and condition would carry massive potentials to explore in the movies. He can also take over Thor Odinson's position to expand the MCU towards more Greek-based mythological stories. Would you like to see Herc fighting Cerberus or Hydra (the monster, not the NAZI organization) in live action? I sure do. Good ol' Herc has seen a return to spotlight recently, with his own solo comic series. So what an excellent time to promote him for his own movie too! Since Chris Hemsworth and Pratt are already in the MCU (IMO, both are giving off a strong Hercules vibe!), perhaps Marvel Studios can hire... I don't know, Joe Manganiello as the lead actor?
Hyperion
Another mythological-esque hero! Unlike Hercules though, Marcus Milton has a completely different origin, being descendant of... the Eternals. Yes, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie series have already introduced this powerful race, which means, the route to Hyperion's debut is more or less smooth sailing. Interestingly, Hyperion is well known as part of the superhero team "Squadron Supreme". That means, if ever Marvel Studios needs a 'replacement' for the Avengers, this group is a good candidate. Just like Herc, Hyperion has returned to the limelight with a new comic series lately, eventhough it was cancelled after a few volumes. I admit, being a copy/parody of a certain DC hero, the character doesn't really have deep potentials. But that's why I trust Marvel Studios to give him the push he needed! As for the actor, for some reason, I would love to see John Krasinski in the role. Dude was considered to be Captain America before, right? And he's not another Chris. LOL.
Inferno
We're back to another tricky business. Dante Pertuz is a relatively new character, a modern version of Human Torch that FOX doesn't own. LOL. He's introduced in the recent years with the NuHumans storyline, which exactly leads to THE tricky situation. Yes, he's an Inhuman, and his origin story is deeply connected to the Inhumans Royal Family (specifically Gorgon). We all know that Marvel TV had taken over the Inhumans IP and turn it into a TV series (complete with bad writing, bad design, bad reviews *smh*). I'm VERY concerned the division would also want to capitalize on Inferno to boost the show's appeal, and I personally don't think that's a wise decision. Visual-effect wise, Mark Kolpack has admitted that creating Robbie Reyes' Ghost Rider's flaming head and chains for the 4th season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was taxing and demanding. It's basically a movie-level VFX that required extra hours and patience, not something that can usually be rushed in a TV deadline. Now imagine doing that with Inferno, who emits flame from all over his body! But there's a bigger stake, here. You see, Dante's clearly a latino hero, and we haven't had one headlining an MCU movie until now. With his visual powers and relatable storyline (struggling with being Inhumans, a minority, rock star, and all), a movie would privilege Dante with the justice he deserve. I'm aware that highly likely Marvel Studios will be going with a cosmic Sam Alexander's Nova instead, and that's okay. But Inferno would be more current, if not more likeable choice.
Ka-Zar
Kevin Plunder came in to this list, with the same reason to Hercules. Because he's Marvel version of Tarzan! Hollywood has been trying to create a good Tarzan movie over and over again, and they're either an okay hit or a sad miss. As far as I know, none of them were ever able to please every audience, not even Disney's animated version. But Ka-Zar is different, because he carries more 'fantasy' than just trying to ape the King of the Jungle. The setting of his adventures, the "Savage Land" that's hidden deep in Antarctica, would be something magnificent to feature in the big screen. We've got Asgard, Kamar-Taj, Wakanda, why not add Savage Land too! Don't forget Zabu, his saber-toothed best friend, which would require massive CGI work. Suffice to say, the things I'm reading and hearing about Ka-Zar only leads to one conclusion: I want to see him in a live action movie! Now, who can portray him? Hmmm... a natural blond Brit like Charlie Hunnam, perhaps?
Ms. Marvel
All concerns I had for Dante, goes for Kamala Khan as well. Being a fellow Inhumans, there's been a rampant rumor recently that she'll be getting a TV series (supposedly the one John Ridley is working on). For me, that's a HUUUGE NOOOO. And due to THREE major reasons. ONE, similar to Inferno, TV budget won't be able to handle the VFX required to showcase her Inhuman ability with the right look and feel. Look no further than that underwhelming looking "Inhumans" series as example! Would you like to see an iconic figure like Kamala being reduced to a 'disaster' with the excuse of making her 'grounded'? You know, like what Marvel TV have already done to Medusa? I certainly DON'T. Kamala is basically the modern version of Mr. Fantastic, and we all know that even FOX have tried to do Reed Richards right in the movies several times, but still couldn't perfectly nail it. Downgrading this situation to a TV level would only make it worse. TWO, Kamala is a genuinely likeable and well-beloved character that easily captures the heart and attention of many readers throughout the world. If the 60s-90s had Peter Parker, Kamala's the youth representative for the modern world. Hip, cool, and current (being a social media freak and all), but also kind and caring... eventhough she's a triple-decker minority (Female, South Asian heritage, and Moslem) living in a racist country. Which leads me to the final reason. THREE, her story will have a MUCH BIGGER impact to the world as a movie. Releasing a Marvel Studios movie with her as the lead in an international market (including countries with Moslem as majority), would not only bank a great amount of money, but also sends the right messages: one, unlike its current government, Hollywood is NOT racist; two, that everyone can be a hero, regardless of their gender, race, and religion! Relegating a character this HUGE to a small-scoped TV series that not everyone can gain access to, would be a massive disservice. Kamala is the hero the world currently needs, so please don't undermine her into disappointments.
She-Hulk
Another tricky situation, though in this case, due to the confusing copyrights. Actor Mark Ruffalo has repeatedly said, that a Hulk solo movie won't be coming along the road because Universal has the distribution rights. What about his super-powered cousin, Jennifer Walters? It's unclear, but I can only assume that she has the same legal limitation. Thankfully, it also doesn't mean that she can't be used in a Marvel Studios movies. She just need to be included as part of an ensemble, that's all. The great thing about Jen, is that she's a lawyer and later a judge. Not only she's strong physically, but also academically. Won't that be a strong role model for young women and girls all around the world? We haven't really had a law angle in the superhero movies until now, with Daredevil occupying the Netflix universe. So bringing Jen into the light would be fresh and promising. As for who should play him, I don't have a particular choice, but someone with Award prestige like Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, and/or Jennifer Lawrence would be a great get...
Songbird
Former villain turned Avengers? Yep, that premise alone would make a great story. Melissa Gold started off as a troubled woman, with broken family and harsh situation. Giving in to the world of crime (known as Screaming Mimi) was clearly her way to stay alive. Eventually she stumbled into the road of heroism with the Songbird moniker, and ended up becoming a full-time member of the Avengers. Just like the other characters I've included here, Melissa would be a great role model, especially for troubled teenagers. Her path of redemption proves that anyone, regardless of their past and issues, can be a hero too. An inspiring message that Marvel Studios need to share to the world. She doesn't sell enough as a solo movie? Well, then debuting her as part of the "Thunderbolts" would be equally okay for me. All the ingredients are already in the MCU anyway (Thunderbolt Ross, Helmut Zemo?). As for the actress, for some reason, I want to see Anna Kendrick in this role. Yeah, basically I just want to see her in a Marvel Studios movie, but I believe she would really bring justice to the gorgeous-designed Songbird.
White Tiger
We've already gotten an African "Black Panther", now it's time for a hispanic White Tiger! Her powers come from the mystical side, and since "Doctor Strange" has opened up the gateway to supernatural, we can have more heroes with this kind of origin story! I'm personally going with Ava Ayala, and not Angela del Toro, eventhough either of them would be wonderful. Why White Tiger? Same reason to Dante, and in a way, Kamala. Sure, the MCU have included numerous Latino actors who either got lost in the background (Jonathan Pangborn?), or turned out to be a scene stealer (looking at you Luis!!!), but we haven't really had a major hispanic hero in the MCU until now. More importantly, a female one! Debuting Ava in the MCU would also, once again, sends off a great message. The US government have been really discriminative about immigrants lately, including the hispanics. Putting Ava in the spotlight would remind everyone that South Americans CAN be heroes, and not criminals like what they're being wrongfully accused for. We truly need characters like this right away! As for who should play her, I'm currently setting my eyes on Gina Rodriquez of the hit series "Jane the Virgin".
Honorable Ment... SPECIAL ADDITIONS
The next characters are those who (as far as my memory serves) haven't made their debut in the "Avengers Assemble" series. So they sort of... didn't fulfill the basic requirement for my initial list. But it'd be unfair leaving them behind like that, right? That's why they are special 'Bonus' additions. Without further ado, in alphabetical order:
Brother Voodoo
For the record, I'm not being racist by sidelining the only black character to this section. The reason I put him here, is because his debut in the MCU movies is pretty much confirmed. Daniel Drumm, big brother to Jericho Drumm, has already made his appearance in "Doctor Strange" as the original protector of New York Sanctum Santorum. And director Scott Derrickson has already hinted that his death would lead to consequences, including the arrival of Jericho. Debuting Jericho as a sort of sidekick to Stephen Strange would be nice, but it would be much better if he gets his own movie too. Yes, there's an issue regarding his name, because using Voodoo might... well, attract criticsm. But titles can be tweaked, right? Considering Jericho ends up becoming a Sorcerer Supreme too, I believe he'll be perfect as the next black hero to headline his own movie.
Shang-Chi
I've already repeatedly mentioned that Marvel Studios NEED a major hero representing minorities, and this is another great candidate. Marvel Studios have brought several prominent Asian characters into the MCU, like Wong, Mantis (eventhough she's an alien), and Helen Cho. Yet they all share similar characteristic: they are all supporting cast. If Marvel Studios want to play it 'safe' and headline an East Asian lead character, then Shang-Chi is the go-to-guy. Nope, I'm not undermining him, but just pointing out how easy he would appeal to the audience. Shang-Chi is in a way, Marvel Comics' response to Bruce Lee. We all know that the world LOVES some Bruce Lee. And Shang is more than just a Bruce Lee copy, he's also a master of espionage who's determined to take down his own father's criminal empire. Pretty much a solid recipe for a James Bond-styled wuxia blockbuster hit, am I right! "Doctor Strange" has teased the use of martial arts to support magic, a hero like Shang would put it upfront as the star of the party. Marvel TV might have taken the stamp on Iron Fist (with mixed response), so Shang is the opportunity for Marvel Studios to do it RIGHT! Jon Woo, Ang Lee, or Jacky Chan can direct this, and as for the actor, Godfrey Gao is my top pick. But Ludi Lin, Philip Ng (star of the fictional Bruce Lee biopic "Birth of the Dragon"), or even Yoshi Sudarso (who is Chinese-Indonesian) would be fantastic nonetheless.
Spider-Woman
The last tricky affair of the day! Jessica Drew is called Spider-Woman, but she uses the 'Spider' moniker by name only, and unrelated to Spider-Man. That's why until now, it's currently unclear whether her movie rights is owned by SONY or not. She's actually one of the superheroine I've been itching to see in the MCU, but admittedly, these questions surrounding her place always put me on a weird crossroad. Drew is connected to Hydra, the High Evolutionary, and has always been a full-blown Avengers. And all of those screams MCU. She's also the best friend of Carol Danvers, so I honestly want to see her show up in "Captain Marvel". Her comic origin story sort of fits with "Captain Marvel" 90s setting too. Have Jessica encounter Carol when she was a child, then Jessica was put into stasis for years, only to wake up as a superpowered woman in the present day. And then she meets Carol again, and team up as the new Avengers. All's well ends well! I personally want to see Tatiana Maslany of the famous "Orphan Black" for this character, but Marvel Studios can always cast an Asian actress (like Constance Wu or Celina Jade) due to Drew's ambiguous background.
Young Avengers
This one initially started off with just William "Billy" Kaplan and partner Theodore "Teddy" Altman. A sweet pairing more famously known as Wiccan and Hulkling. My way of thinking was, it'd be rude and unfair to name just one of them, right? If Marvel Studios wants to go ahead and feature an LGBT representation, these guys are the one they should use. Is it possible? There's a hint that we'll be seeing Vision and Wanda Maximoff's relationship evolve in "Avengers: Infinity War". Perhaps somehow they end up bending reality, and Billy is magically conceived? Meanwhile, "Captain Marvel" confirmed that the alien race Skrull CAN be used in the MCU, so a half Kree-Skrull (his biological father is the original/male Captain Marvel) like Teddy is more than just possible. Basically, that movie is the only gateway needed for his debut in the MCU.
But then I began thinking. Why am I leaving behind Billy's twin brother Thomas "Tommy" Shepherd? Poor Pietro Maximoff was killed off in just one movie, why am I sidelining another Speed-ster? That's NOT right. Then the more I think of it, the bigger the scope gets. We have a Hawkeye and Ant-Man who are both fathers in the MCU. Why not include their protege/child? Katherine "Kate" Bishop might not be Clint Barton's daughter, but the two shared a special connection that would be great to depict on the big screen. And then there's Cassandra "Cassie" Lang who looks up to her father Scott, and aspires to be a size-shifting heroine of her own. Cassie has already debuted in the MCU as played by Abby Ryder Fortson, why not promote her into a hero too? And how could I miss out the lesbian latina America Chavez? Fitting in comfortably to all the diversity talk I've stated above, America is not only female, latina, she's also an LGBT representative. Another triple-decker like Kamala. JACKPOT!
So yeah, that's how I ended up with Young Avengers instead. If Marvel TV has "The Runaways", then Marvel Studios can have these equally (if not more prospective) young heroes! If we assume that we will no longer see the Avengers following the 2019 movie, then introducing the Young Avengers would be the most logical continuation. This movie doesn't even to take place in the present time, but a bit further in the future, or even in an alternate reality. That's the function of Reality Stone and Multi-verse, right? This team represents youth, fun, and diversity, sending all the right messages to the world. And at the same, enabling older actors like Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Benedict Cumberbatch and others to serve briefly as mentor figures. There's also one other reason why this special team ends up being the last entry on this post (which is unintentional, to be honest): because I REALLY want them to show up in the MCU! \(*v*)/
So there you have it, the 9 (plus 4+) Marvel Heroes I want to see coming to the big screen. In the end though, this is nothing more than a personal opinion. It's obviously a very subjective thinkpiece, so anyone else might not have the same idea (if you do have your take, then do post them, I'd gladly read it!). I do however, hope that someone, anyone from Marvel Studios would somehow stumble upon this, read it, and put these names into considerations. I sincerely feel they will bring something NEW to the MCU, while continue conveying message of hope, inspiration, kindness, and good. After all, that's what Marvel Studios movies are for, right? Thanks for reading... enjoy your September 9th! Even if it might be just a regular day for most of us... XD
