GOODBYE WORLD for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, and Xbox One launches June 30

The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of narrative adventure game GOODBYE WORLD will launch on June 30, publishers PM Studios and Flyhigh Works, and developer Isolation Studio announced. Physical PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions are due out on the same date.

GOODBYE WORLD first launched for Switch via Nintendo eShop and PC via Steam on November 17, 2022.

About

GOODBYE WORLD is a narrative adventure game where you follow a linear storyline of 13 chapters about two game creators while playing an in-game puzzle platformer.

Story

Relationships change.

Programmer / game designer Kanii, and graphic designer / scenario writer Kumade are two indie game creators.

The two are working on a new project, funding it with their earnings from their last game, but Kanii has been going through a creator’s slump and they haven’t been able to create anything for the past two years.

Time is running out, and so is their money.

In desperation, they reach out to a game publisher, but…

Key Features

A non-combat adventure with a conversation-based storyline.

The mini-games playable during the game consist of 12 stages and are developed by the two characters in the game, Kanii and Kumade.

As you progress through the adventure part, the development level of the “game” will advance and the next stage will become playable. What is the ending that comes when you clear all the stages?

週末の夜に素敵な会にお誘い頂き、何年振りかの酉の市にお邪魔して来ました。

千鳥足で向かうのが恒例ですとのことで、向かった待ち合わせ場所は浅草・神谷バー。

生中をチェイサーに電気ブランを飲んで、いーい気分で外に出たら足元に茶封筒に入った現金が！

お札はピンとしてるし、コレ落とした人はしょんぼりしてるだろうなあってことで、そのまま雷門前の交番に届けて来ました。

落とし主が現れるといいなあ。

その後、鷲神社へ行き、ちっちゃな熊手を買って、シャンシャンシャンしてもらって来ました。

久しぶりのお酉様でした。

1189-Benkei (武蔵坊弁慶)

Saitō Musashibō Benkei (西塔武蔵坊弁慶, 1155–1189), popularly known as simply Benkei, was a Japanese warrior monk (sōhei) who lived in the latter years of the Heian Period (794–1185)[1]. Benkei led a varied life, first becoming a monk, then a mountain ascetic, and then a rogue warrior. He later came to respect and serve the famous warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune, also known as Ushiwakamaru. He is commonly depicted as a man of great strength and loyalty, and a popular subject of Japanese folklore, showcased in many ancient and modern literature and productions.

Benkei armed himself with seven weapons, and is often depicted carrying these on his back. In addition to his sword, he carried a broad axe (masakari), a rake (kumade), a sickle (nagigama), a wooden mallet (hizuchi), a saw (nokogiri), an iron staff (tetsubō), and a Japanese glaive (naginata). Benkei was said to have wandered around Kyoto every night on a personal quest to take 1000 swords from samurai warriors, who he believed were arrogant and unworthy. After collecting 999 swords through duels and looking for his final prize, he met a young man playing a flute at Gojotenjin Shrine in Kyoto. the bigger Benkei ultimately lost to the smaller warrior, who happened to be Minamoto no Yoshitsune, a son of Minamoto no Yoshitomo. Henceforth, he became Yoshitsune's retainer and fought with him in the Genpei War against the Taira clan. From 1185 until his death in 1189, Benkei accompanied Yoshitsune as an outlaw.

In the end, Benkei and Yoshitsune were encircled in the castle of Koromogawa no tate. As Yoshitsune retired to the inner keep of the castle to commit ritual suicide (seppuku) on his own, Benkei stood guard on the bridge in front of the main gate to protect Yoshitsune. It is said that the soldiers were afraid to cross the bridge to confront him, and that all who did met a swift death at the hands of the gigantic man, who killed in excess of 300 trained soldiers.

Realizing that close combat would mean suicide, the warriors following Minamoto no Yoritomo decided to shoot and kill Benkei with arrows instead. Long after the battle should have been over, the soldiers noticed that the arrow-riddled, wound-covered Benkei was still standing. When the soldiers dared to cross the bridge and take a closer look, the giant man fell to the ground, having died standing upright.[7] This is known as the "Standing Death of Benkei" (弁慶の立往生, Benkei no Tachi Ōjō). Benkei died at the age of 34.

Tales of Benkei's loyalty and honour have made him a mainstay of Japanese folklore, as well as a popular subject for literature and entertainment.

One kabuki play places Benkei in a moral dilemma, caught between lying and protecting his lord in order to cross a bridge. The critical moment of the drama is its climax, where the monk realises his situation and vows to do what he must. In another play, Benkei slays his own child to save the daughter of a lord. In the Noh play Ataka, Benkei must beat his own master (disguised as a porter) in order to avoid breaking his disguise. Ataka was later adapted into the kabuki play Kanjinchō, which became one of the most popular and widely performed works in Japanese theatre.

Rules: how would your oc fare against a cockroach?

Narul: 6/10 Narul wouldn't particularly care about cockroaches, though he might be annoyed by their smell. If asked by someone else he would certainly squish one. The only real issue might be if it slips under something or if Narul is overly enthusiastic in his quest to smash it. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that Narul accidentally (or purposefully) destroyed a house.

Ninma: ?/10 Surprisingly for a princess, Ninma has no problem with creepy crawlies, and loves to catch bugs, spiders, lizards, and if given the chance, would certainly try to make a pet out of a roach. If properly motivated she could certainly catch one. Narul and Otilia would be horrified/disgusted by this. Ninma however would tearfully inform them that she had already given the pest a bath and named it.

Otilia: 1/10 Otilia is not a fan of insects, in fact she is quite repulsed by them. She would almost certainly call for Narul to dispose of the roach for her

Shela: -1/10 Shela would have a similar response to her partner, Otilia, but even worse. Screaming, gagging, and cursing out the poor pest. Ultimately she would refuse to enter whatever structure the roach was found in until it had been carefully cleared of any of its brethren.

The Throuple (Istek, Dati, Sihunu): 7/10 They would be fairly unbothered by the sight of a cockroach, any one of them would simply squish it (most likely Sihunu since she is the only one that regularly wears actual footwear.) However if Istek spotted a roach aboard his ship what would follow would be an obsessive round of cleaning, one which would necessitate completely unloading and scrubbing the hull and its cargo.

Penetinos: -4/10 An extreme dislike of insects is apparently a very common trait among Korithians. Penetinos has a deep fear of things that crawl and creep and the idea of seeing a roach much less touching one would bring the poor old man to tears.

Zatar: 10/10 Zatar would take great pleasure in hunting down and killing roaches.

Akard: 10/10 Would ask Zatar to take care of the issue.

Kumad: 8/10 Kumad would have no problem squishing a roach, though he might complain about the resultant mess.

Mikrab: 0/10 Has no issue with roaches, but lacks the motivation or drive to ever actually try to squish it.

Batricca: 10/10 Similar to Narul, however she would have no problems with destroying things in the process and might even destroy things intentionally.
