I remember seeing a post about someone theorizing that maybe the Druskenvalds have some connection to Clayton Azran, since Shepherd’s hat and weapons were in the trophy room, and for some reason my first thought was Lord Druskenvald, because of the trophy room.

But as I was getting ready for work, it fucking hit me like a lighting strike. Lord Druskenvald doesn’t have a direct connection to Clayton, but his wife does. Or, hell, maybe not even a direct connection via blood, if shes related to Arabelle.

Because Lady Druskenvald (I can’t remember her name for the life of me) is a diviner. She reads the cards, she uses a crystal ball (like Arabelle’s grandmother), she reads tea leaves (like Clayton). And, to some extent, it’s not just for show or interest.

So if Lady Druskenvald has some connection to Clayton, even if it’s through Arabelle, that could explain why Shep’s had and weapons appear in the trophy room. Perhaps it might’ve been a wedding gift.

Why do I always think my experiences are never “enough” to qualify for an identity? Like I’m always teetering on the edge of an identity. Not because I don’t want to identify any particular way, but because I’m worried I’ll piss people off if I claim a label they don’t agree with.

La Reine de la Nuit was a Barbie released for attendees of the 2013 National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention, designed to embody some of the design characteristics of New Orleans, that year's host city - and inspired in no small part, I believe, by the Queen of the Night from Mozart's The Magic Flute.

Designed by Raphael Estrada and Joseph Kenyon under the brand Edge of 17, the doll came in both a light skinned and AA variant, though it is notable that in addition to having different skin colours, they do also have different facial design.

Being a convention exclusive, these dolls are in extremely short supply, but I personally like them a lot. The knee/thigh high lace stockings are a very nice touch.

I need to learn more lushootseed i got curious and looked up the words / listened to pronounciations of my theriotypes and its the same feeling i get when someone refers to me with the correct pronounciation of coyote, its like. It feels like speaking directly to my soul? Like yeah I am From this place, the words which refer to me are the ones which are also from this place. Ive never had a connection to names as a concept but this feels very correct, using the original, non-bastardized words for my species. Idk someone tell me if this is a weird take
